I humbly thank you for your sweet comments on my art, it genuinely goes straight to my heart. I also thank you for your patience, I brainrotted a lot on your question in order to offer you a quality reply.

So, the basic of my Puppet Zelda HC is that she's driven by a corrupted and perverted version of real Zelda's valid pre-calamity angst. Let's apply the same parameters to an hypothetical Puppet Link.

Puppet Link is everything Zelda thought Link was before opening up to him. He is silent, stoic and cold. He resents Zelda for being so distant to him. He resent her for being a slave to the overwhelming and illogical love he feels for her. A love that break his heart in each waking moment of his existence. A love he has NO CONTROL OVER. He resent Zelda for not being honest with him. For treating him so badly when deep down...he knows she feels something for him. And he lives for her admitting.

If Puppet Zelda is fire and driven by a corrupted version of Zelda's passion, Puppet Link is ice. He is driven by a corrupted version of his stoicism and distance. He is the creepy Puppet Link, silently 5 steps behind Zelda, like the real Link did pre-calamity...but poisoned.

As always, english is not my first language so i hope I'm making sense. I doodled something, cuz if feel better explaining stuff with visuals to back me up. Hope you'll like it.

Ok so based on the most recent info...we can all agree that all Joost did was stick up a middle finger at a someone who was filming him without his permission, right? We can all agree that it was extremely manipulative to imply what he did was way worse by describing it as "threatening a female member of staff" and just letting it just hang in the air, effectively making it sound as if he had (sexually) assaulted a woman, right?

Wednesday: Think of it as something akin to a voodoo doll, except the effigy is bound not to a person, but a topographical location.

Enid: Oh. OH! I see it now! That’s like a map of Nevermore, right?

Wednesday: *favors Enid with a hint of a smile* Precisely so.

Enid: *beams back* So what does it actually do? I’m pretty sure it works only at night and I know it doesn’t like—harm the land, because that’s so not the Addams style.

Wednesday: You know us well, mi corazón. You are correct on both counts.

Enid: *triumphant fist pump*

Wednesday: *picks up a black peg* Unlike a voodoo doll, which commonly facilitates pain or physical harm through a spiritual connection—

The seer carefully inserts the peg amongst a small, if conspicuous, cluster on the map. Once in place, it silently ignites with a purple glow, pulsing in sinister rhythm with its brethren.

Wednesday: —the Night-Fright allows one to perforate the membrane of reality, creating a transient hole in the night sky itself.

Wednesday: The Realm of Gratuitous Nightmares.

Enid: Okay, so the T-L-D-R is that this thing lets you like—poke holes in the night sky and rain down freaking nightmares on some poor unsuspecting person?

Imagine Bob struggling to hide being sick and the fact that it's definitely effecting his new power. Maybe he finds out that stifling his sneezes which seems to keep the chaos that his new abilities wreak at bay for the moment, but all that stifling and built up energy from his powers has consequences.

i can totally see him trying to stifle because he thinks it’ll help, only for it to make his powers more reactive when he can’t surpress them anymore.

plus i don’t think of him as being a habitual stifler, so it would be a deliberate attempt at having some control over the situation — anyone who knows him well (y/elena probably knows him best) notices his attempts at stifling and discourages it, but he just keeps trying to surpress his sneezes anyways

What potential dynamic do you imagine with Eternal Sugar and Hollyberry, and Whity Lily and Silent Salt?

I see Eternal Sugar being attached to Hollyberry, because... of course I do lol. I'm the Beast x Ancient spokesperson at this point (and they actually are canon, they are soulmates, it is true). Beyond that soul bond, though, perhaps Sugar both resents and is fond of Holly's outgoing attitude. The way Holly is always smiling and laughing, the way she always champions friendship and unity. The way she's always happy. Sugar was probably like her once, and perhaps some part of her genuinely likes that she finally found a like-minded person after an eternity alone. But she's frustrated, too, because to some degree, Holly's happiness (Holly jolly lol) isn't real. It's a mask. It's Holly making herself strong for everyone else's sake. Being everyone else's shield, like she always has been. Why does she do this to herself? Why does she waste time and effort pretending? If she let go of her burdens, if she gave into sloth completely like Sugar did, then she really would be happy.

And I say "completely" because... well, that's the other thing Sugar likes about Holly: Holly already is slothful. All she does anymore is drink and be merry. She surrendered her shield and her crown ages ago (she may have taken the former back, but the latter is forever lost). She ran away from her kingdom, she ran away from her friends, she ran away from her family, she ran away from herself. In her despair over having failed so many people so many times, from Pure Vanilla to her own missing granddaughter, Holly threw her life away and instead turned to "happiness": the sweet but fleeting kind found at the bottom of a beer stein, the foregoing of all responsibility and reality in favor of believing everything is fine. Their "in the end, you will become me" moment will be Sugar pointing out that Holly already IS her. She's been her for a long time now. So why keep pretending she's not? Just give up and be happy. Be happy for real, for once in your life. They can be happy together once she does. Wouldn't that be nice?

As for Silent Salt and White Lily... Personally, I would really, really enjoy if Salt was exactly like Lily in that he is "the odd one out". I always imagined Salt being some sort of outcast, both in general society and among his own friends. Just like White Lily is. Two people that are just too different from everyone else. Who think too differently from everyone else. Who just don't fit in anywhere, no matter how anyone tries to pretend that they do.

I want their relationship to be a deviation from the norm. I don't want Salt to want to fight her (if he does, then he does so only because he feels he has no choice. He finds no joy or satisfaction in it), I want him to want to commiserate with her. Because in the end, she already is him. She became him a long time ago. Before Holly became Sugar. Before any of the Ancients "became" their Beasts. Lily has already fallen to darkness and turned her back on the world, just like Salt did. And there was always something missing from her life, even before; just like him. Salt does not see an enemy, he does not see a thief. He just sees another person who the world couldn't help but disappoint. It would be nice if their battle was primarily a philosophical one, as opposed to a physical duel. I want Salt to be the one Beast who has always been 100% self-aware of his flaws and mistakes (no verbal dressing down necessary, like all the other Beasts got), and is not afraid to acknowledge them publicly, but sticks to them anyway because he chooses to. He CHOSE evil. He CHOSE to become a Beast. And he will gladly tell Lily why, because now, there's someone who could finally understand. Because the exact same thing happened to her.

If there is just one scene, one single scene, of Salt and Lily just sitting somewhere, watching the dark horizon in melancholic silence, then I'll feel complete

There's a theory going around that Elder Faerie is to Silent Salt what Dark Enchantress is to White Lilly.

It's essentially canon that Elder Faerie loves White Lily.

Somehow, he is jealous of himself.

I’ve heard of the theory going around. True I really like the idea and them being similar doesn’t help

I mean come on he looks like a corrupt version of elder fae! However we’re sadly won’t take the theory into the au until we learn more about silent salt and his power.

The only thing confirmed in the Children of Beast au about Silent salt is that.

1) he has darker dough compared to White Lily.

2) his eyes are some shade of bluish

3) his face/dough is cracked horribly with scars.

Basically the idea is that out of the triplets, Gingerbrave looks the most like Silent Salt.

Now we definitely are playing around with a cookie having a split similar to White Lily and Dark Enchantress (actually probably a bit more stable), however that would be getting into spoilers 🙃

I had an idea when I saw your drawings of the past beats/fallen hero’s, the idea is mostly like an ancient beast swap, but instead of the beats actually corrupting they ask the witches for a new chance feeling they can’t take their roles anymore so that’s how they get into beast yeast into a slumber, and for most of the story in cookie run kingdom to stay the same but white lily is the first corrupted ancient only for the rest to follow so the soul jams could break and become purified and sending the ancients into a slumber as the beats wake from their slumber to see the destruction of earth bread, just an idea though, it could be explained or expanded on.

It feels like something highly unlikely with how devoted the fallen heroes are to their roles and duties. They'll be incredibly burnt out but they'll still do what they have to until everything breaks down completely. Buuttt, ,, I do really like the thought of ancients corrupting. If the fallen heroes or. The Five Saviours as I call them in Past Beasts AU were to ever recline from their duties it would be somewhere at the start of their supposed corruption. They'd realise that... Well. Things aren't going nearly as they're supposed to. They're all weary and tired, their duties bore or disappoint them. They just... They need a break. Cookies are doing well, right? Nothing would happen if they left for a few years... After all, surely all this work they've done, it wouldn't be in vain! All of their teachings and guidance, Cookies have recorded all of it, to be passed on for eons to come!

So. They'd ask the Gods to have their rest. The souljams would likely stay with them, given that this power should NOT be just given around. And so would begin their break. If it comes around to the beasts, their sleep would last for at least an eon. They were assigned a specific place in the land of Beast-Yeast, where they rest their weary souls, guarded by the Faeries, destined to return when the world needs them most.

At some point, others would realise that Cookies... Well. They're not doing too well. Without the sudden guidance of the five saviours, the world would slowly begin to deteriorate. The Cookies have been incredibly reliant on their heroes, and without them the world becomes darker. Sure. The Five Saviours would try and prepare them for their absence, but seems like it wasn't enough after all. So, a decision would be made. To give the souljam to another set of five cookies. Ones worthy of their title of souljam bearers, the purest of the purest.

Golden Cheese Cookie

They would be the ones to substitute for the slumbering Five Saviours. They would become the Five New Heroes. Bestowed with a part of the original souljams,

They would become the pillars that will now support the Cookiekind.

Problem solved. The Cookies will no longer suffer! They've new heroes to rely on. Not the same, not nearly as influential, sure, but they'll be there to help.

Alas.

Even the purest of souls crumble when faced with such unimaginable power. One by one, they all began to corrupt. Apathy, Greed, Ignorance, Irrationality, Supremacy (Iiiiimmmm gonna have to work more on those. They're temporary for now.). The chosen ones have become fallen. They no longer obeyed to their duty, no longer were a support. They plunged the world into chaos and discord.

The light of freedom, White Lily Cookie, right before her imminent corruption, has split into two after a certain incident, one part of her remained pure, uncorrupt, while the other fell even lower. Alas, without her light, White Lily Cookie was unable to stay awake for the corruption of her dear friends.

One day, she will awaken, and with her, The Five Slumbering Saviours.

Wei Wuxian doesn't compete in the archery competition. None of the other clan leaders do either, but Lan Wangji can't help but think it's a shame. Wei Wuxian is one of the best archers he's ever seen, but this isn't a skill he'd found out about until they were in the Burial Mounds. So many people think of his husband's demonic cultivation and nothing else. The only reason any of them would even know he has a sword is if they'd seen the brief moment he'd summoned it to kill the man that had attacked Jiang Yanli.

He's more than this strange, terrifying power. He's could show them all the breadth of his skill, Lan Wangji wants them all to know how remarkable the man he married is, but he understands that it's not that simple. They fear him now because of the power he has that they don't understand. If he proves that he has even more power, that he's good with a bow and a sword and talismans, it might just multiply their fear rather than temper it.

He wishes he were by Wei Wuxian's side now, but instead he's completing in the archery competition even though Madame Yu and Madame Jin are seated by their husbands. Meng Yao had insisted that the excitement of watching him and Xichen competing against each other would provide a welcome distraction and Lan Wangji had agreed because Meng Yao tended to be right about these types of things.

Although right at this moment, seeing Meng Yao chatting up his brother and leaving Wei Wuxian on his own next to Jiang Yanli, he wishes he'd put up a bigger fight.

It doesn't help that he can feel Jiang Cheng's eyes burning into the back of his head.

As if he too wouldn't prefer it if his husband didn't flirt with Jiang Cheng's sister.
