As much as everyone (including me at times) enjoys making regulus and Barty only be death eaters because they had to or whatever, those motherfuckers loved the dark lord. Barty wanted to be his favorite guy, regulus kinda was his favorite guy for a little (he was the only death eater to be marked in his teen years, so he must have been at least preferred). Regulus had a shrine to the dark lord, barty had a whole rant about how he thought loving the dark lord like fixed him or whatever. They were FANGIRLS for the dark lord.

Anyway, to make this about Bartylus, voldemort was like their shared celebrity crush. They definitely had a completely delusional pact in their relationship that they wouldn’t get upset with one another if one of them slept with Voldemort because that was the dream. They would giggle and swoon together after death eater meetings about their pookie bear voldy. If they had Voldemort x reader fanfiction in the 70s, they would be reading it together. If either of them got directly addressed by Voldemort at any point they would like hold hands and jump and scream about it like teenage girls in ya movies. They’re like bts fangirls with their shrines and clear phone cases (if they had phones) with Polaroids of Voldemort in them and shit and I’m tired of pretending they weren’t
