I think 2 weeks ago, @potatobuttcheek asked me about this (Sorry, I took so long) but here we go

In simple words : It's basically a slider that aim to reduce the harsh shadows sims 3 normally puts on your sims faces and make details way more apparent, and yes the sims look just as smooth in game too ! I usually put mine at 150. There is a more technical explanation by simtanico here

Note : My shadows may be casting differently but that's because I'm using the custom CAS lightning by simbouquet

Watched a playthrough of Mouthwashing. Adding it to my list of "examples why "walking sims" are actually the best at telling complex and character-focused narratives in video games."

I think the game really justified its genre of gameplay and took advantage in really creative and inspiring ways. Like through the use of interactive metaphor: in a sort of dream sequence, you're told to "take responsibility," but every time you turn around to start walking you're reset. So you have to "take responsibility" by walking backwards and refusing to look where you're going.

I hope this game inspires more writers and devs to look into the walking sim genre and its interactive potential to tell their stories.

Hello, my beloved people. My sims and tumblr break is taking longer that I wanted. It seems that this year is very tough for me in terms of mental stability. Definitely the worst since six years minimum. I'm going on vacation for two weeks and I strongly hope that the change of environment will clear up my head at least a little. When I come back, I want to start simming again. Maybe I will have some new ideas! I really miss all of you. I can only imagine how many wonderful things I am missing and as a follower, I'm sorry. Totally Awesome 80s Legacy Challenge!!!

Here are the rules for my super long legacy challenge. They haven't been tested thoroughly yet so feel free to let me know if anything isn't doable. It's meant to be done in either normal or long lifespan, but if you want to try the short lifespan I won't stop you. You can skip any generations that you can't do due to pack limitations or if you just don't feel like doing that generation. This is meant to be fun, not strict. If you don't like one of the rules feel free to skip it. Another fun thing to do would be to find and watch the movie before each generation so you have a better handle on what I was trying to recreate in that generation. Also if these graphics are unreadable I do have a Word file I can link. Please let me know if you try the challenge and tag me in any posts or videos so I can see how you're doing. (All pics used in the graphics were found on IMDB.com)

I've been building a townhouse all day today and these have been invaluable to me today!

Seasoned TS2 builders/players will no doubt recognise them, but I only recently discovered them, and thought it might be useful to share them, along with download links with you all. 😇

First one is 'Tile Blocker'.

It's as simple as the name suggests. This one stops sims walking into the tile where you've played this big red brick. Of course it has an invisible recolour, like OMSPs. This is useful in instances say, where a dresser's mesh overhangs another tile, so you can stop a sim being router, so they don't walk through the object.

Second one(s) are Slot Blocker/SlotBlocker and serve the same purpose.

I have many surfaces in the townhouse, where I don't want to put items, but I don't want sims to place items there either. There are two different types and I downloaded both.

I found that the SlotBlocker (pictured above) appears on more areas than the first one, but I do have Moar Slots installed. The first link is part of a Counter Completers set.

And last, but by no means least, are these beauties. These were a shock that I'd not heard of them before. I actually found them off TeaAddict's videos, but she mentioned that AniBats had used them in her Pleasantview series videos.

These are Object Rotators. 😍

Basically, they let you rotate for even more increments, so not just at 45 degree angles.

For example, I got this chair to be at a fair gentler angle to the dresser than if you'd not used them. There are three different sizes for differently sized objects, only 1 tile objects sadly atm.

this was supposed to be a warm up doodle but i needed to color him.

(sims 4 blast from the past event just started and i love this dude! He's even aroace which i absolutely adore! (i also may have finally gotten sims 3 running again on my computer and finally bought into the future expansion (after years of wanting it) so i'm met him there too lol.)
