character info in source. … — open to anyone!! the general idea: louis has turned your muse (into a werewolf or vampire, your choice) and maybe their bloodlust or impulsivity, etc. is creating waves and louis isn't happy about it. his family was killed at the hands of hunters in the 1300s and while he's arrogant enough to not fear for his own life, he's cautious still because he doesn't want his life disturbed.

"i turned you out of the kindness of my heart and this is how you think to repay me?"  a lie, for louis has no heart, but the sudden heaviness of a french lilt in an otherwise calm tone displays the blatant rage behind his words.  he’d turned them because he’d been lonely and he’d seen in them an inkling of himself—who he used to be.  it had been a decision made in haste and it was now proving to be a poor one.

he takes a long stride in their direction, his body suddenly towering over theirs.  his heated gaze is relentless.  "the trail of bodies must come to an end.  you will draw attention from the hunters and they will come,” his warning is soft for someone so clearly infuriated and for a moment his piercing blue gaze isn’t so hot.  louis raises a hand to allow warm fingertips to brush strands of hair from their face, the tender gesture soon warping into something more sinister as his fingers wrap skillfully around their throat.  with a slight tug, he pulls their body closer, mere inches from his own.  his lips part and the sharp points of eight fangs are on full display; the threat there is quite clear.

"they will not only come for you, but they will come for me as well.  i will not suffer for the sake of your ignorance—or perhaps it is your confidence."  it is only now that his eyes glow with suppressed anger, the icy blue quickly dissipating to give way to a fiery swirl of red and gold.  "should you continue to behave so recklessly, you will become a threat to me…. i believe I’ve told you once before how i deal with threats."  the strength of his grip yields, but his hold does not cease, "i have given you new life and i can take it away just as easily."

after a second more, he releases them completely and runs a hand through his hair in frustration.  in this moment, he isn’t sure whether he wants to teach them or kill them.  "think before you act, won’t you?”

27. how magic is used in everyday life

It really depends, in my lore! Since not everyone uses magic, it's typically reserved by most dragons for purely combat/defensive purposes. However, when a dragon is trained (or talented) with magic, they tend to passively generate more magic; so everyday use would involve casting many small spells, just to ensure they don't have too much magic collecting in their aura.

Those small spells can be things like forming a flower out of nothing (which is Sycamore's go-to) to lighting a campfire, melting snow/ice, cooking food, etc. Anything that requires energy, really.

41. how your clan was founded

This is gonna require so much context so buckle in.

Sector 42 is the territory which my clan/s are based within; it's one of many Sectors throughout the Southern Icefield, which is how (in my lore) the Icewarden sections off areas for his Exalted to oversee.

Within Sector 42 is the Sleetstorm Penitentiary, an old Gaoler prison complex built into the side of a mountain that got abandoned centuries ago. Inddrin felt a strange magical calling, and left her homeclan to travel to the Southern Icefield to take up the mantle of Warden of Sleetstorm. For some time, she lived alone, trying to fix up and repair the old prison, until Sirel and Celozon arrived and they formed a proper clan.

Also within Sector 42 is Wickerfrost, a small trading town down in the valley of the mountain which Sleetstorm is built into. Wickerfrost was founded by Abran many years before Sleetstorm's revival. Abran was originally part of a war party from the Ashfall Waste, but seemingly was fine with settling down and abandoning her past.

As Sleetstorm grew, the two clans butted heads more often than not. However, Sleetstorm began to notice rumblings of something bad going on in Wickerfrost; all of it centering around Abran. Abran, the Mayor at the time, had actually founded Wickerfrost to cultivate a magical fallout zone; she drew in powerful mages to sit upon the Seasonal Council, and killed the ones who grew wise to her true nature. When there was enough latent magic, Abran tricked the Seasonal Council into hatching an egg which contained a remnant of the Shade. The Abomination razed Wickerfrost to the ground, forcing the survivors to flee to Sleetstorm for protection.

Eventually, the Abomination was defeated, though Abran and her followers still lurk in the woods around Sector 42. The survivors of Wickerfrost built a city, called Frosthome, around the entrance to Sleetstorm.

Nowadays Frosthome is considered the overarching governing body for the new, partially-merged clan dynamic. However, Sleetstorm still retains a significant amount of influence over its own operations, and has gained a lot of sway over Frosthome politics. Most dragons are okay with this, though some are unhappy to be ruled through Gaoler politics.

Hypnotised Guillermo scene in S6E3 still gets me, if you even care.

For years we've been theorising about how Nandor and Guillermo have met. The throwaway Panera Bread phrase sparked even more possible scenarios. And the greatest majority of them had Nandor as the main culprit - stumbling on Guillermo by chance or following him for a while or somehow else, all ending up with him making the desicion to "employ" Guillermo as his familiar. The "undead creature executes his power to acquire a servant" type of story.

The canon meeting hinted at in Sleep Hypnosis couldn't be more different. Turns out it's Guillermo who decided to become a familiar, it's him who came across an ambiguous Craigslist ad and went to the mansion, at 17 years old, uninvited, unafraid of what he may get himself into.

It's him who's chosen to come into Nandor's life and be a part of it, not the other way around.

Maybe that's why Nandor's so afraid of him leaving. It's the freedom Guillermo had from the day one, the only thing Nandor could never bring himself to take from him. Despite many people - his wives, his lovers, his sirelings - leaving him before, for various reasons, he never dared to clip the wings of the little falcon in his hands, hoping he'd always stay.

It's a delightful balanced imbalance in their dynamics - a "powerless" servant who has all the freedom to leave at any given moment, and his "powerful" master who has no way, beside promises he himself knows are empty, to hold him back.

In this light it's so sensible how Nandor's soul gets bared when Guillermo pulls away from him - leaves Simon's club, goes to live at Celeste's or his mom's, accidentally abandons him at the train station... distances himself in seasons 4 and 5, or fires him in season 6. Every time he thinks about how he himself can fix it and bring them close again.

Nandor dares to think, hopes, that Guillermo willingly stays, willingly comes back, despite everything, because they're meant to be together. As an alliance, as a family, as... anything they want to be.

And when Guillermo’s eyes soften and he grabs his hand tightly with a wide smile, Nandor knows it, for sure now.

What are the small character head canons you have? I love the life you breathe into TBBW and I think alot of that comes from both your incredible skill at character writing, and just writing in general, but also the small notes of mundanity you add. I just adore it!

What the hell, let's do it. In fact, I'll break it down by characters:

Klaus: Sleeps with a knife under his pillow. In fact, me and @stars-and-darkness have had many conversations about the various knives he keeps on his person, being the paranoid bastard he is. Also just as control freak-coded as Caroline. Breaks his fingers as a nervous tick, left over from his time under the Curse of the Five and the whoppingly high pain tolerance he has, thanks to his werewolf side. Doesn't have a favourite blood type because he's a whore---unless the blood of his enemies counts.

Caroline: Worries her lip when anxious, or pushes her hair behind her ear, because she's used to it down but it's not straight like Elena's, and often gets in her eyes. Probably spent an entire week working out the best way to brew blood and coffee together. Canonically eats a lot to curve the worst of the bloodlust cravings and loves good food, regardless of the effect it has on her waist. Has all her college options colour coded and alphebetised---probably her pro and con list for dating Klaus too. Favourite blood type is B+

Sam: Pain tolerance is higher than Nik's, and that's no easy feat, mostly due to learning to turn so young (but also because werewolves have an insane tolerance to pain, thanks to their bodies deciding to rewrite their very cells for funsies once every month). Acts all innocent and angelic, when in reality, he's just as feral as the rest of them. Runs his hand through his hair when he's stressed or tired---it's a complete mess most of the time, and Kiera has long since given up trying to tame the unruly bird's nest. Is in love with an artist and brother to another, but knows fuck all about art. Has a passion for music though, and can play the guitar. Favourite blood type is O-.

Kol: Clumsy as fuck. Sleeps like the dead. Snores like a freight train. Will sleep with anything that has two legs; has probably been to an orgy or two. Or five (honestly, he's lost count). Also has a sense of wanderlust that exceeds that of his siblings---he's curious, and an explorer, both of magic and the world. Loves fire. Loves gasoline even more. Laughs to hide real pain. Favourite blood type is AB- (the rarest of them all).

Rebekah: Because she still dreams of finding the love of her life, and mourns the motherhood she could have had, you'd think Rebekah would be the stereotype of a fragile woman who needs a man to save her. In reality, her brothers are scared to spar with her because she's probably taken their eye out more than once, and fights dirtier than them all combined, in order to get the upper hand on boys much older and stronger than her. Her temper rivals that of Klaus, she's a fitful sleeper who rolls around like a starfish and is prone to kicking anyone near, and a completely spoiled princess. Because as well as being scared of her, her brothers also can't say no to her. Comes with the youngest sibling territory. Of the same thread, can not cook to save her life. Would probably burn water. Haven't really thought about her preferred blood type yet, but probably A+? Because her and Caroline are the same in many aspects, just different flavours.

Kiera: Badass motherfucker. Origin of the meme, call an ambulance but not for me. Is as infamous as The Originals in supernatural circles, mostly because she was the one the Originals called if they wanted someone dead. Very much a sireling of Klaus' bloodline. Also just a babygirl tho. Loves pretty, sparkly things (yess I'm keeping with the crow motif sue me), and once got Sam a dog toy as gag gift for christmas. It lives dog-eared and religiously chewed every full moon on their sofa. Loves abstract art, prefers painting to sketching unlike Klaus who's the opposite, and ain't too shabby at pottery and sculpture either. Would have had a fling with Rebekah if the siblings didn't have a rule about sleeping with each other's ex's after the whole Mary Porter incident. Can drink most men under the table. Constantly 100% done with the Mikaelsons and their bullshit, and would not feel out of place on an episode of The Office. Doesn't have a preferred blood type, but does like her blood warm rather than cold.

Elijah: Diagnosed with eldest daughter syndrome because big bro was too busy seeking mummy and daddy's approval to actually look after the younger kids, and, well---someone had to stop Kol face-planting into the fire because he liked the flames so much and was trying to catch them. Of this same thread, Elijah loves to cook. You'll probably find him in the kitchen, humming away chopping vegetables while some cooking show plays in the background. Probably accidentally invented pasta or some shit. Wars have raged for his baked goods, as well as lead to a few daggering incidents. Also a complete snob. In fact, snobby enough to wear $9000 suits on the daily and steals Rebekah's fashion catologues to critique the new trends. Secretly here for all the goss, but would die before he admitted it. Keeps himself respectable and polished ALL the time, adjusting his cufflinks or fixing his tie as nervous ticks because he 'accidentally' chomped a little too hard on his first love and may have got covered in her blood one time. After he very horribly killed and ate her. Very traumatic for him, you understand. ANYWAY---

Lycaon: Pretends to be the only fucking normal person in this family. He's not. He's so dramatic he chased Mikael across the seven corners of the earth---across literal oceans---accidentally starting a blood feud and consequential war between species all because he lost the kids in the custody battle. He likes to make wood carvings to keep his hands busy and mind occupied (no doubt where Klaus gets his creative streak), as well as to starve off the trauma of watching your entire pack get murdered in front of you. Also a health junkie and helicopter mom, tries not to drink in front of the kids but is going to down a whole bottle by the end of the night. Probably should be on some serious anxiety meds because this is his third breakdown of the week and he's starting to feel murderous again. There is nothing normal about this man.

Stefan: An absolute car nerd! Would be a mechanic in another life, often found smelling of engine oil with smudges on his face and fingers. Secretly fangirled over Klaus' 1920s bentley but never said it to his face out of spite. Would cry over killing a fly. Likes to brood and be dramatic, which is probably why Klaus liked him so much. Also has a penchant of brutally murdering people when he goes on a bender, which you know, probably endeared him to Klaus even more. Likes all the O blood types because they're common, and he's too busy tearing necks to notice and savour the taste anyways, despite Klaus and Rebekah's efforts to teach him (he's unteachable, they tried).

Honestly, I would very much like more of them in this Century.

Like they spent 100 years in italy(Tuscany) after the everything with at the de Martel castle.

Just they're all so relaxed and Happy. Klaus can't dagger them at any small inconvenience.

Like what where Kol and Finn doing. Although, its likely when Finn was with Sage. Which is a relationship I'd have loved to see develope. Sage being so determined to wait for him for 900+ years.

Kol working with Witches? Or No? Because the witch in that area is the one that made the daggers and the five. So was he with another coven? Were the vampires in the area his 'sirelings'? And WHO was Kols first turn?

Also just How did they get themselves the home they have. And, yes, compulsion. But they didn't KNOW about compulsion. Although Elijah Has used compulsion before this but it was behind the 'red door'. So, who and how was figuring out compulsion done?

And I kinda do love the idea of the five of them being more relaxed/happy because theres no signs of Mikael, they're getting to just Live. So. YEAH. I'd really like to see more of them in this century.

“Remind me again why you dragged me to the Originals’ Halloween party?” Bonnie asked her best friend who looked like she was already buzzed from their obligatory (see Caroline demanded) pregaming. “We just put Elena in the crypt and found out she won’t be coming back to life until I’m dead. How am I supposed to be having fun right now?”

“Because. You need to live your life and trust that she’ll live hers when it’s her turn,” Caroline insisted. “Besides, we need a break from all the drama. And to get away from Mystic Falls and Whitmore. And a trip to New Orleans on one of the biggest party nights with THE biggest partiers we know? It was a no brainer!”

Bonnie served her some serious side-eye. “You sure you just didn’t want an excuse to get away from Stefan and see Klaus?”

“Oh look. There’s Katherine,” Caroline pointed out, conveniently deflecting.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't my favorite sireling and Bonbon." Katherine remarked, as she took a place beside the other too, gracefully walking beside them. "Going somewhere fun tonight? Because without the threat of war breakingout this place got boring fast," she muttered, pouting slightly as a former Marcel vampire hissed at her, but did nothing.

Continuing to walk beside them she smirked. "I'm going with you two. It looks like it'll be alot of fun."
