And she wanted me to get it cut chin length#and I didn’t want to#and I don’t really remember the details but we ended up getting into a really bad fight#and my mom threatened me that if I didn’t get this haircut she would not help me with college advice#I.e. would not give any emotional support or suggestions#and strongly implied there might bkto be financial help either (they were paying)#so I went and sat in the car#I was actually crying because of how upset I was#And she actually told me to take a few minutes before I started driving to calm down#And I drove their and got it#And I hated myself for it so much. That I just gave in#A while later she kinda half-assedly apologized but not really#and I do t even remember why she wanted me to get it so badly#I think she thought that short hair would be easier to manage in the dorms? Or maybe I was getting split ends? Idk#Anyway six weeks into the semester I dropped out and came back home (long story)#and then i made their lives hell for the next 5.5 years while living at home and having my college adventures#Until I graduated and moved out#So I guess in the long run I won that one lol?

Alright so I got a bit curious... just how much of Vice Versa was ads? So I went in and cut out all the intros and up next screens and previews to get the total run time of the actual show, and also isolated the product placement segments.
I was generous with the product placement. I didn’t count the entire segments that were clearly based around the product, just the points where they actually interacted with the products.
Here’s my calculations (unless I’ve got the math entirely wrong)
The total run time was 11:32:11, which comes 692.18 minutes
The ad segments were 1:51:17, which comes to 111.28 minutes
Approximately 16% of Vice Versa was purely product placement
Basically, what I’m getting at is
#this includes the lays ads#i've said it before and i'll say it again#vice versa sacrificed itself on the altar of 6 minute lays ads... among some choice pickings by minor advertising gods#so that we could get the eclipse#say thank you vice versa#vice versa#vice versa series#the eclipse#the eclipse series#this is proof that i should not have free time#i'm sorry#i also didn't count all the times they just sat in cars and on scooters provided by yamaha or went to the sf cinema#just because they didn't talk about them directly#this would be a LOT worse if i started counting all of that#like i said i was being GENEROUS

#my answer: I went to five high schools so it was a little different at each one. mostly I’m option two#but I’ve also spent a lot of time hiding in the library#during my senior year I spent most of lunch alone in my car in the parking lot.#and I’ve sat alone in the cafeteria too

#i didn't get to do the sidequest i almost got though 😔#i exited my apartment. theres a guy outside and i greet him bc i assumed he was a neighbour#and he greets me back and then hes like im sorry i hopped over the fence as a shortcut idk if that's fine#nd then continued and said he'll check if he dropped something#and i'm like yea ok sure!#bc i was going to lidl and i wanted to get going but i did just stand there for a bit in case the guy needed help or something#then he emerged from the fence area and he was like ''if you find something in there can you pick it up akd put out a note'' and i was like#yea ofc! i'll do that if i see anything#and then he was like this is a very nice area so i trust people will let me know if i did drop something#and i was like for sure#im not great at smalltalk but he was very polite so i tried my best#also he seemed like he wasnt having the best time#he might have been on something bc he was slurring his speech and drooling a lot and there was a certain look in his eyes but honestly that#none of my business#we said bye and i sat in my car and then he was like ''hey actually i live like a minute away super close but my bag is super heavy#can i get a ride there it's super close next to [redacted]''#and i moved my bag from the front seat and was like ''yea sure''#and then he stared at me for a bit and was like ''actually i dont want to bother you have a nice day bye'' and left with a wave#i was like you too and waved back#he didnt look like he had any trouble walking so i came to the conclusion that he's fine and then went to lidl#but honestly i am a bit disappointed he didnt want me to give him a ride after all bc he seemed like he would have interesting things to sa#he was super polite and talked a lot and despite me being a finn i dont always mind strangers talking to me#bc if i have nothing important to do it's like. might as well!#another chat outside my apartment ive had was this old lady and she knew a lot about the history of the area we live in#and it was very interesting and also like i said if im in no hurry to go anywhere i love listening to ppl yap about whatever#i hope both the fence hopping guy and the old lady are doing good#leevi talks

Something about getting soaked in the rain can be so fun.
#it feels almost childish#one time after my friend and I went to the dmv it was pouring out#we both had beautiful white shoes we had just gotten and out of nowhere the water just rushed us!#I remember I was so worried at first—I don’t know why—I just was more scared that she would be sad and never thought to stop and think#it wasn’t the end of the world if our pretty shoes got dirty#but after we both fell in a puddle and our shoes were no longer white#she started laughing#and she pulled me with her#and the rain poured harder#and it was so much fun#after we sat shaking in her car—heat all the way up our jackets leaving wet splotches all over the cloth chair#and we got dunkin!!!!!#it’s one of my most favorite memories from this year#maybe I should tell her that#I wonder if she even remembers#it’s weird—I just didn’t think I could make memories like this anymore

I realized I was baking and knitting and crocheting to cope and suddenly wasn't able to do any of it anymore
#a sock speaks#local construction#job searching and car searching at the same time is so demoralizing#I'm still holding out from going back to restaurant job because I think I need to prioritize having access to healthcare#I keep thinking I'll reach back out to the friends I've ghosted once things stabilize a little but they never stabilize#I am trying really hard to have grace for myself but I'm so frustrated and so embarrassed of myself and so lonely#last night I went to the creek near my house and just sat on the grass and prayed#till the moon came up and all the slugs came out and it got dark#and it didn't fix everything but I did at least feel a little better.

My nonbinary boyfriend has spent the last 2 hours having a tantrum because I (politely) told them that I don't want them to hang up my tank tops in the closet when they do the laundry
#i literally started out with thank you so much for doing the laundry#i only said something because i Saw them putting a tank top on the hanger and thought it would be a learning opportunity#but no instead he stopped folding the laundry + went and sat outside for over an hour + took his car and left the house when i tried to talk#to him about this#this is fucking insanity like. i could not have been more polite about it without just keeping my mouth shut.#and now this man has been gone for like an hour. because of the laundry. which i went ahead and did exactly the way i like it#and lo and behold. we didnt have enough hangers bc he kept hanging up stuff that ive never hung up in my closet before.#its not like this is the first time he's put the laundry away we literally put it away together multiple times and i pointed out#how i like things done for My clothes. idgaf about what he does with His clothes#this is like fictional levels of mantrum like if it wasnt happening to me i'd struggle to believe this is the actual cause

okay. no longer high off my ass from anesthesia but i am very tired
#they gave me a bunch of pain killers#just took some so hopefully they help#man#i do not remember that surgery at all#i remember the dr putting the iv in and saying okay you’re gonna feel really good in about ten seconds and i was like 10 seconds ??#and he said you’ll see wink. and then i remember thinking oh wow this does work that fast. and the nurse was saying something to me#and then i remember her helping me into the car#i do NOT remember the procedure at all holy shit#i think i mostly just cried the whole way home. not even about anything in particular i was just crying#and i could not get out of the car and my f*ther had to carry me up the front steps 💀#i literally couldn’t do it#and i sat in bed and then my mom took over#and before i got settled in i had to pee so she had to help me but i insisted i could do it myself#immediately wiped out and fell on the floor#so she had to help me 💀#and i couldn’t sit up on my own it was a real chaos show#then she went to pick up my meds and i kinda just stared at the wall for a while#which was about when the anesthesia started to wear off#im okay now#annoyed with all the blood in my mouth and super tired#but i feel okay#the dr and the nurses were so sweet it rlly made me feel better#they asked me what i was scared of for the procedure so i was honest and said i was scared i’d throw up and asphyxiate and die#and they were just like oh okay D: most people are scared of all the bleeding afterwards ..#and the dr was rlly excited when he put the iv in cause i have good veins#he said ‘oh thank you for bringing me this’#i’ve never had an iv before it didn’t rlly hurt ! idk how i’m gonna get this medical tape off now but !#so everyone was right it really wasn’t that bad at all#once i’ve got all this bleeding under control it’s mostly just pain management and keeping my wounds cleaned#i’m so proud of myself i did my very first surgery!! and i was so brave !!

Neighbor got mad at me this morning for parking in “his” curb spot when all the other closer ones I usually use were taken because we had two construction worker vans over yesterday and today. So he had to park in the driveway instead.
