#so like. ideal conditions
more from that weird dream i had where Yuuta & co. traveled to the past and tried to get Toji's help to defeat Sukuna. or something
it was fun drawing Toji slightly younger than usual. Yuuta also looks a little different than i usually draw him, bc those were canon events in the dream so i thought i'd try to make Yuuta look slightly more like how Gege draws him ? mostly this meant making his hair thinner though sdfsgdhfg
on another note...
i'm sure some of you are wondering how things are going on the Other comic front, aka The Boy Who Leapt Through Time
it's become kind of customary that when i struggle with this comic, i end up unwinding on another project and realizing i need to put less pressure on myself, and then things get better for a while
unfortunately, brain is fucked this time. for reasons completely outside of my control, my brain got fucked up specifically in relation to this comic project. so i'm gonna have to work on fixing that before i can get anything else done
the next part is entirely sketched and i started inking it before Things happened
i'm sure it's frustrating for those of you who enjoy this project of mine, but believe me. it's worse for me. i want to work on this comic, i want to keep this story going. and i will
one day i will make Yuuta happy. one day i will have him able to live with The Horrors and not lose sleep over them all the time. one day he will defeat the brain fucker
but for now, i'm the one who has to deal with that stuff

what I was talking abt earlier. we have fully looped back around and away from feminism, societally, whereas before it was very Feminism 101 to acknowledge that many parts of existing as a woman in a misogynistic society are painful and upsetting.
not that being a woman is Inherently Negative in a bubble. but that living on this earth, in the conditions we're living in, is hostile to women.
and that gender is a performance. that many of the Staples Of Femininity as accepted by society are things that you have to create and perform and mold artificially and aren't inherent, that COMPLAINING about day to day difficulties of existing as a woman is something that you're allowed to do.
acknowledging these basic, again, feminism 101 things, that something tied to womanhood is more time consuming or more expensive or more dangerous Because Of The Problems. does not CREATE the problems. that when women complain about having to perform femininity, they are not, in fact, oppressing themselves. the call does not come from inside the fucking house.
saying that you HAVE suffered does not fucking equate that you believe you SHOULD have suffered.
like I could talk about this for hours. how braindead and one-dimensional the Takes are getting. "being a woman is looking in the mirror and going fuck yeah i'm a woman" damn. I guess any negative experiences you have by living in a misogynistic world... are your fault if you are anything but positive?
"you don't actually want liberation" we've fully gone back to telling feminists "you WANT to be oppressed" when anything negative about our society is pointed out. it's not real until I say it out loud, I guess, and then I'm actually the one who caused it.
if anybody expresses any unhappiness with how they're treated or the status quo or the language and culture surrounding womanhood and femininity. they've created it, right that second. they invented it just now. it wasn't a problem before somebody complained, right?
also trans women aren't braindead zombies who just follow the flow of whatever cis women around them say. I am pretty fucking sure they are very much aware of pain, and are MORE than aware of the swirling torrent of misogyny and standards of femininity than anybody else. actually. and I am pretty sure someone complaining on tumblr that being a woman means always putting on a performance is going to make someone change their mind about transitioning. also "performing femininity" as a necessity to being treated well as a woman is not fucking NEWS to your Local Trans Woman. I AM PRETTY SURE SHE GETS THE CONCEPT. using trans women as a scapegoat for this braindead perspective on gender politics is spineless, meritless, and pathetic.

Ok but here's something I think about.
So Echo's mind was forcefully hacked and the utilization of his mind resulted in countless vod deaths. But he is not to be blamed because he was forced to be used, a cog in the machine that turned whether he wanted it to or not.
I think about him being a narrative foil or some sort of parallel to Fox. And I know the argument is that the manipulations used on Echo were not consensual, but Fox followed orders and therefore acted upon his will; and yes I do agree he did do as he was told and his obedience resulted in Fives' death which leads down a rabbit hole of preventable trouble. But also in my mind whether it was through the use of the inhibitor chip, emotional/mental/physical/etc manipulations and abuse acted against the Corries, or it being Fox's indoctrination I still think he was a similar cog in the ever spinning war machine. Even if it wasn't the first two options and it was him acting on what he believed were justifiable orders, I still feel equally as bad for him. Because he was raised to be that way, programmed even to be that way. The Kaminoans and the war machine demanded an attack dog and he became it. Yes I get it, he could have chosen to act differently, but you're telling me the indoctrination and ever present enforcement of propaganda and dogmatic thinking isn't still abusive and corrupt? That in a world where troopers could be reconditioned for being disobedient and you were trained since you were the equivalent of a toddler that if you were told the world is laid out in black and white that you wouldn't believe it? Rex and Cody and Wolffe and Bly and Ponds all have generals who help enforce personhood and individuality in clones, they encourage the building of self identity and acknowledge individual uniqueness. You think the Corries get that? On a planet where it's all about politics and paperwork? If the GAR has to deal with indoctrination ideals - as shown by Dogma and his stringent obedience - then you don't think that shit is drip fed into Corrie blood streams?
I'm saying that while Fox killed vod, in what mind does he have to do contrary? Echo's mind was highjacked, and to me in a way the Corrie's were highjacked as well. Not the same, not with physical wires and screws and pods but through slow and methodical programs and placements. Echo's forced servitude can be seen physically on his person, but the same manipulations that had Fox pull the trigger on his gun which killed Fives is all internal. Even if it isn't a chip, even if it isn't out of fear, he never had a chance to go against when his entire life was built to serve and do this. The Chancelor says jump, Fox will always ask, how high?

Hii you know how you wrote about reader getting hurt because of their job please could you write that with graves or nikolai x
Hey! Sure I can!
Graves’ and Nikolai’s S/O Gets Hurt Because of Their job
Graves: On the outside he may seem calm and collected, but on the inside he’d be seething with rage. However, he won’t show you how angry he actually is, keeping it all to himself instead. He needs to be the big, strong man in your relationship, so he needs to keep his cool in front of you, no matter what. I don’t think he’d be too surprised you’d have gotten hurt, though. While he may have hoped it would never happen, that was just wishful thinking. You’ll either be on Shadow Company’s medbay or in the best hospital he can find nearby. Either way, you’ll be well taken care of. If you’re at Shadow Company, then he’ll station some of his most competent and trusted people to take care of you for the time being. You will be protected by them, and you will get whatever it is you may need from them as well. Or anything you may want, really. No cost is too high for Graves while you’re in recovery. While he may try to make time for you as well, he really does, he will also have someone track down whoever hurt you. This person will then be abducted to Shadow Company for a rough time. Graves himself would take care of them, and he can be pretty effective when he wants to be. However, if you’ve recovered by then, and are among the more vengeful people, then you’re more than welcome to do as you please with the bastard yourself, Graves has no qualms about that. In fact, he’d welcome you doing what you need to do. An eye for an eye. I think he’d become a bit more protective of you afterwards. If you’re okay with it, then he’ll leave you in the hands of some of his Shadows since he can’t always be there for you. If it was up to him, he’d combine you with his work and have you just live on base with him so he could always keep an eye on you, but you likely wouldn’t agree to that. It may seem a bit overbearing, but he will reach out to you more often and does expect you to respond within a few hours, or else he’ll get worried and send someone to check up on you, even if you’re alright.
Nikolai: While Graves may be furious, Nikolai is entirely calm about all of this. Yes, you got hurt, but seeing him panic would likely only worsen the state you’re in. He is well aware of the fact that you will pull through, he made sure of that himself. However, he won’t do anything drastic until you’ve recovered completely. That way your perpetrator has enough time to kill themself before he has to take action. Naturally, you mean the world to him, so any violence against you will not be excused. Nikolai runs a PMC, so he knows what he’s doing, he knows how to deal with violence. Violence for violence is the rule of the beasts and Nikolai’s cruelty is akin to that of a starved animal. However, that can wait until you’re alright again. He’ll visit you every day, even stay at the hospital, and bring you gifts, tell you stories and keep you company otherwise. But he won’t mention the plans he has for the sorry fuck who hurt you, those are for him to know and for you to never find out. Once you’re home again, going about your day, he will seek out the bastard himself and drag him to some place in Siberia. As mentioned before, Nikolai can be cruel when he wants to be, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he let that person run aimlessly around Siberia for a few days, hunted down by him and his people, only to capture and torture them later. Death is a kind of mercy that is not for them, though, so he’ll keep them alive for the time being. They almost took you from him, there’s nothing they could ever do to make up for that. They’ll be a new chewing toy for Chimera until they die for one reason or another. Nikolai won’t get too overprotective, but he will be keeping a closer eye on you. He won’t station one of his people in front of your home when he’s away, but he will try to make more time for you. Calls become more frequent and he will try to find some excuses to spend more time with you, even if it’s just by video chatting with you when you have the time. He won’t freak out, but he won’t forget about that incident either.

I was just thinking what a cool job this might be.. what if you were just the person who makes little still images of cute animal figurines doing various activities to post on social media...? like.. show up to work and just spend the whole day like "hmm... this table should be placed to the left a little.. let me set this miniature bagel down in this way... this tiny rabbit should be wearing a scarf", setting the backgrounds, the lighting, etc. ... dream job perhaps lol...

went to trim my hair just a little bit a few days ago but the hairdresser overdid it and cut more than i wanted, and it ended up looking kinda like amélie poulain's haircut, which, okay, i can live with that. out of curiosity and because it was on my mind now, i ended up watching the movie since i somehow had never watched it before and only knew of amélie through pop culture osmosis. and that's how i found out that amélie has, like. an uncomfortably similar backstory to that of my own life 😐

thinking about how the primary way sensui and yusuke are foils to each other is in how they were affected by and conceptualize injustice in the arc about whether or not humanity is worth saving due to the injustice and atrocities done by humanity. how yusuke got to see how people distort and demonize those they don't understand/see as different by being on the receiving end and learning that there's always another side to consider. how sensui never questioned humanity's universal good and demonkind's universal wickedness until he saw something awful and instead of gaining further nuance about the dynamic switched sides. sensui was white stained black (or so itsuki says) and yusuke was always, always gray and on the margin. how sensui had the chance to see what yusuke has known for years and is unable to shake his ideas about the world's basic structure (good guys vs bad guys) that he just swaps which side is which. yusuke who met demons he liked after only a couple of experiences with ones who only wanted to hurt others. yusuke who trusts hiei easily, a kindness hiei doesn't expect. hiei who does not trust humans, but begins to change because of that moment. sensui who only met a demon he saw as worthy of life after years of fending them off, after years of exterminating them without mercy. sensui to whom itsuki was "one of the good ones" vs yusuke who trusted hiei with little reason, who sacrificed himself for kurama moments after hearing him out. yusuke who can't help but let in strays because he's one too. sensui who takes in strays because they can help his genocidal aims. sensui who purges, and yusuke who saves.

see one thing that made me really uncomfortable with Good Omens season 2, as someone on the aro/ace spectrum, is its message that Crowley and Aziraphale were never truly in love until they share a kiss and a declaration of conventional romantic love - you know, with sex and physical affection and the like. It's like saying the 6000 years they spent together mount to nothing and only serve as the stepping stone they need toward reaching a proper romance. It's like the show's asking the audience - how could they be in love without kissing each other? To me and many others like me, at least, their relationship before season 2 (particularly their relationship in the book) IS the most romantic status possible. They enjoy each other's presence, they understand each other, they are independent individuals with their own lives who value their companionship, they trust and communicate well with one another, their relationship is not romance or sex driven. Throughout the 6000 years they slowly developed this mode of love. I don't need them to kiss - I don't need to kiss - to be in love with someone and our relationship without that romance, physical affection, and conventional love declaration is just as valid as an allosexual one.

Wes hated Chairman Rose on principle. A big businessman who makes performative gestures to cover for all the shady shit Macro Cosmos was doing. He was the head of the League, bringing entertainment to all of Galar! What kind of clout chasing asshole would you have to be to criticize Rose?
He was too similar to Es Cade for Wes’s liking.
His hatred deepened when he went exploring the Galar mines for the first time, tasked with retrieving Leon from the maze of tunnels into the earth. He could spot every single poorly maintained beam, every rusty pulley, every failure of safety protocol. The mine wasn't on the brink of disaster, but it was heading there through negligence.
Wes had seen firsthand what the failure of one bolt could do. Orre used to be a thriving desert, filled with flora and Pokefauna, made up of underground mining towns connected to the surface through one or two way towns. But one bolt in a support beam of one mine failed, and the mine collapsed. In a series of explosive chain reactions, town after underground town collapsed, spilling out toxic fumes that wiped out almost everything. Even to this day, there are no wild Pokemon, and the scars of the catastrophic event can be felt by the region's few hundred inhabitants.
Wes had been one of the unlucky survivors. No one went out into the desolate wasteland looking for survivors: only criminals looking for corpses to rob. One Team Snagem member realizing that he had been still breathing was all it took to seal his fate.
When Wes had found Leon, he had grabbed the man's hand and refused to let go, guiding them out of the labyrinthine death trap of a man. Chairman Rose was waiting outside with his secretary, and his flippant attitude to making sure that the mine was safe, that the lives of people now were not as important as hypothetical people in the future, made Wes's blood boil.
He kept his mouth shut. He kept his mouth shut about the veiled disgust in Rose's eyes when he saw Wes holding Leon's hand, as if he were Muk, dirtying the Champion with gross Orre germs (although Oleana's disgust was much more obvious). He kept his mouth shut through the patronizing comments about how he wouldn't understand Rose's grand vision of the future. He kept his mouth shut, because he knew his reputation was of the suspicious Orre foreigner and speaking up will just hurt his chances further.
Wes Wolf was named after Lycanroc, a species of hunters. He noticed how vigorously Leon defended him, staying by his side as the cracks started to form in the already tenuous relationship between Leon and Rose. He noticed how Oleana kept glaring at Rose with daggers when the man wasn't looking, how she was probably planning on usurping her boss and taking control of the company. He noticed how Rose omitted a lot in his description of the ideal future, as if he only cared about the future because it was something he could shape to his worldview.
A hunter knows when to wait for the optimal time to strike. So Wes bit his tongue and waited, because he is the Desert Bandit, Apex Predator of Orre, Protector of the Wilds, and Chairman Rose is his prey.

part of my problem is that i started telling myself that if i couldn't do my idealized writing session / workout then there wasn't a point in doing one at all, so now i'm trying to train myself to go back to my previous goblin behavior and like. give it some partial ass, ya know?
