Idek how this would work but I had this idea after I read your ‘My Sweetheart’ blurb-

So tlt and Luke’s betrayal has occurred and the reader was in a relationship with Luke, pretty much exactly like ‘My Sweetheart’.

So ofc she’s still really offended and traumatised from that debacle. But she still loves him deep down. Anyway (at any point during the series, you decide) they’re going to use her as bait for Luke to come here. She agrees bc she doubts he’ll come, if he betrayed her surely he didn’t love her that much. But he does.

Anyway the campers give them some privacy and they have a really deep conversation, and she accepts that she still loves him. And then they all jump out and attack him and he realises she betrayed him, and he gets grievously injured.

But somehow, before they can realise she isn’t back yet, she goes back and heals him, bc she can’t leave him for dead, and she leaves him healed but hurting.

If you wanted to be evil you could even end it with ‘if you’d only been there to heal him that night in Manhattan.’ Feel free to change anything this is just a very long thought, xxx

You'd thought long and hard about what you'd say to him, if you'd ever got the chance. Something along the lines of why? how dare you. why would you ever do this? or at the very least, was everything a lie?

But all your heartache and rage got stuck in your throat like a bad cough. All you could do was stand frozen and hope that it was all a bad dream.

He had the audacity to meet your eye. He stepped forward in your direction.

"Y/n I-" His voice broke as he quietly spoke.

Every single bit of shock in your body vaporized in a second, being replaced by lover's rage.

Unbeknownst to you both Percy had finished summoning an Iris message to camp.

Luke finally noticed, ordered the monsters his army to attack in retaliation. You and your friends outnumbered when suddenly The Party Ponies narrowly come to the rescue. However you'd stayed stunned throughout it all.

Centaurs, half bloods, Cyclops' all fought one another. The loud sound of battle didn't render, instead silence ringing through your head.

You wanted to believe the old Luke was still in there somewhere, but as your focus zeroed in on him. Watching him fight without mercy. You saw no resemblance of the boy you love.

Perhaps if you kept hope, kept faith in him. You could have helped him long before Manhattan. Maybe there was another universe where Annabeth wasn't the only one who could see the old Luke buried down below. And maybe in that universe you both got that house on the hill...

I was wondering if you have any headcanons about Nico and Hazel’s sibling relationship??

Do I? Do I?!

Ofc I do. Ahem.

So a lot of people think Nico and Hazel are sweet to each other right? Wrong.

As someone with both an older brother and a younger sister I can just say that Hazel and Nico may appear to be perfectly loving siblings who like, I don't know, are very nice to each other and never get into arguments, but they can actually get very passive aggressive and petty.

Like Hazel cares just as much as Will about Nico's health and whenever Nico doesn't take care of himself, she would stop talking to him altogether and instead just shove food and drinks at him until he ate (cause she saw him in the Jar and never wanted something like that to happen to him again).

And Nico, who had grown up as a younger child, would be petty back and refuse to eat/drink, which ended up with them glaring at each other for a few minutes to a few hours because they're both stubborn little shits. And no one could break their silent arguements because no one wanted to get close to the blackened grass and sharp gemstones surrounding where they stood.

(Except for Reyna that is, because she would just throw a chocolate bar at each of them and tell them to stop being stupid)

But yeah, they both show love through actions rather than words because both are scared to verbalize it (because everytime they did in the past, that person died).

Like Hazel loves to collect little charms so every chance he gets, Nico would buy her chained bracelets for her to put them on.

And Nico never really had pictures of Bianca so after asking for a description from Percy, Hazel drew/painted her and put it in a beautiful handmade frame so he could preserve it forever.

(I probably have more minor headcanons but I think this post has gone on long enough lol)

The beeping of the heartbeat monitor fills the small room, echoing against the walls. Vax hardly dares to breathe as he enters, seeing Keyleth lying on the bed. She looks better now, he thinks, someone cleaned the blood and grim from her skin, bandaged her wounds.

Keyleth lied under a slab of concrete, her eyes fluttering with every shallow breath as she fought to hang on. Her red hair covered in her own blood. In the darkness, Vax could see the tears on her cheeks carving paths through the blood and dust.

Percy looks up as he enters, his face grim. Wordlessly, the inventor stands and walks over to Vax, squeezing his shoulder before joining the others in the hall to give Vax some space. There's a tube down her throat and bandages covering her torso. Vax knows every injury she has.

Three bruised ribs, four broken. Grade three concussion. Severe fractures and breaks on her lower legs and ankles. Abrasions covering her entire body. Dust inhalation.

Vax sinks into the chair Percy had just vacated, hesitating for a moment before taking Keyleth's hand. He's so scared it's going to be cold. But it's not, it's a bit cooler than normal from the frigid hospital air, but he can feel her pulse strong against his fingers.

"Hey, Kiki," he says softly, his voice barely louder than a whisper. "I'm sorry I wasn't here most of the day, but you know how it is, massive earthquake means every first responder on the field. I hope Freddie wasn't too much of a nuisance." He chuckles as he kisses the back of her hand.

"My worst nightmare came true today, I heard the address of your building on the radio and I...I freaked out, I could barely breathe. Pike tried to get me to stay behind, to stay out of the building but I couldn't, not when I knew you were inside. When I found you...I-I thought you were dead." Tears well in Vax's eyes as he fights back the images of Keyleth in the debris of the collapsed building.

"I thought I was too late, but then you looked at me and fuck, you smiled at me."

"Knew it was going to be you," Keyleth murmured, blinking slowly up at him. "Is Jasper safe?"

"He sure is," Vax assured her quickly as he knelt down and began to take her vitals. "He was the one who told me where you were. They're taking him to the hospital now."

Vax takes a long breath, "All you cared about was that that little boy was safe. That's why you held on as long as you did. And I need you to keep holding on, Keyleth because so many kids still need your help, especially after today. I...I still need you, Keyleth. I don't want to know who I am without you by my side. So please don't let me find out."

"Vax?" He looks over to see his sister standing in the doorway of the room. "I'm going to head home with Percy, I'll bring you some food later okay?"

Vax nods, glad there isn't going to be a fight about him staying at her side. "And some coffee, the hospital shit is always watered down."

Vex nods, walking over to give him a kiss on the head, "She'll be alright, don't let yourself spiral, okay?"

"No promises," he laughs a little bit. "I'll see you in the morning, stubby."

Vex says a quick goodbye before leaving Vax and Keyleth alone once more. He takes a deep breath in time with her and squeezes gently on her hand. He's going to stay right here until she wakes up, he will coax her back to him because he is not about to lose another person today.

And when she wakes, it will not be alone.

Okay okay okay so I only got this idea today, but I really wanna explore ripple effects about the Raven Queen refusing Vax as champion (I redid the line to be 'Fate-touched, you will not deny the girl her destiny. Neither will I.') and insisting on Vex instead. She gets the Deathwalker's Ward.

A few things I know will go down differently:

Vex will multiclass into Cleric from here (the one level of Rogue stays because she got that in episode 40), either Twilight or Death domain, and Vax never gets Paladin levels.

Galdric might? take over? as Vex's companion? over Trinket? which would break my heart but would be SO good for showing how things have changed.

I! don't know Vaxleth well, but they'll develop a bit differently here - Vax is absolutely devastated he couldn't do anything for his sister. In canon her death rattled him bigtime, but he was still able to protect her, to step in. He couldn't here, and that makes him very reckless and scared in ways that worry Keyleth. On her end, well. At least her love didn't bargain his soul to a god - she's still very upset, but she's a little lighter on the lifespan angst than in canon.

Percy and Vax's relationship sours considerably, because at least in canon Vax had some measure of control. Here not only has his sister died, but her future has been sacrificed to a fucked up god.

Deathwalker's Ward being Exalted would be tied to some big moment for Vex.

Percy titling Vex is a very bittersweet thing - because she's the Raven Queen's Champion, she can't settle down, she doesn't know what will be asked of her, but he doesn't mind so long as it brings her comfort. There's still a shrine to the RQ built in Whitestone, though ofc now Percy is far more involved in it.

Saundor's taunts take on a different tune. Still stick with her though.

Percy's death will likely have a bit of a different twist, given Vex might be able to directly intervene beyond true love's nat twenty.

They still get married during the timeskip, only it's more of an impulsive thing because who fucking cares if they're married when Vex has some sort of thing going on with the RQ, she might poof at any time, best make the most of it.

Percy might end up being Pelor's Champion in Vex's place, or maybe Erathis' because I'm still :vvv about that.

And, towards the end, Vax still gets disintegrated. Vex repays the favor and bargains with her patron - with the agreement that she'll fully mantle her station once all is said and done in exchange for her brother's life.

There's something very Sad to the end of this [I wanna keep it tight to my chest, I hope to make it that far <3] but Vax and Keyleth end up getting the happy ending Vex and Percy got in canon, and Scanlan still uses his last Wish for Vex to say some words at their wedding.

it just goes so well w the prophecy bc then the blade that kills annabeth is the one luke gave her and percy's soul is still reaped except it's annabeth! the soul of the whole series!! and percy watches luke kill himself but never rly forgives him bc he took everything form percy! he took annabeth! and then when he's offered immortality he turns it down and he's thinking of annabeth and he's thinking how immortality would be the furthest thing from her and ofc he doesn't want it but ALSO the poetry of her being his mortal point and him losing it??

and that sets up a darker version of percy in hoo?? i think about it So much <333

He actually gave me the most trouble, and in the end I just stuck with classic. A subtle nod to dark!Percy and discreet middle finger to the gods, depending on how you interpret it.

Annabeth Chase:

A full Ravenclaw cosplay for Annabeth. She gives Ravenclaw vibes, and I feel like she would be a Potterhead as well. It was either this or a mad scientist and I am so glad I went with this bc it just... works.

Jason Grace:

My boy is basic as, so he gets the true original costume. I gave him the glasses so he’s still preppy don’t worry.

Leo Valdez:

Originally he only chose it to match in with the Food Theme they had planned (but scrapped about five seconds later), but he is so glad he stuck with it. He will now sing It’s Raining Tacos at full volume and there is nothing you can do to stop him.

Piper McLean:

A nod to Aphrodite and her half-brother Eros with a dark twist. Interpret it as you will...

Frank Zhang

He went with Robin Hood ofc- who else? He didn’t quite wear it with the same effect, though, and did get pretty self-conscious wearing it and had to be persuaded not to ditch it. He spent part of the evening as bats, black cats and owls to complete people’s costumes.

Hazel Levesque:

Still going cottagecore with Dorothy! Someone told her that her outfit ‘wasn’t scary enough’ and so she vanished from the party with Nico and Frank for a couple of hours. The next time they saw her, they were suitably scared out of their wits.

Nico di Angelo:

Will had to force him to. He regressed back to his pirate stage lol and spent way too long picking one out that he would actually wear in public.

Will Solace:

Speaking of Will! He got changed early and absolutely terrified all his poor patients by getting a bit too into character.

Reyna Arellano

Cool and actually respectable (it was scary how anyone would wear half of those) Reyna would look as confident and intimidating as ever in this.

Bonus: Blackjack

Blackjack let them dress him up in return for doughnuts. Arion and Tempest (I know he’s a storm spirit but still) not-so-politely declined.

To be honest, I have so much hate for how Wonder Woman is portrayed that I basically rant about it for too long under the read more. I’m not affectionate enough towards her. But honestly thank you for your response!

I wanna start any Wonder Woman talk with "I have not read the Wonder Woman comics so everything I know about her is from the cartoons/films" because that is an important distinction. Most comic book characters are completely different from how modern media portrays them, and Wonder Woman is probably not an exception to this rule.

What functionally ruins Wonder Woman for me is that she gets condensed into a general stereotype of "strong woman archetype" or "feminist icon archetype" when she is written into any new series. Rarely do we see a really good depiction of her, and even then it might be stealing wholesale from Xena Warrior Princess. (I have a sneaking suspicion that the only Wonder Woman I like is one that is basically a Wondey skin of Xena... and that makes me very wary of talking about her and very scared of reading her comics.)

But that shitshow that is the WW84 movie pretty much condenses everything wrong with all media depictions of Wonder Woman dating all the way back to the Justice League cartoon and perhaps earlier into one neat little package. And that depiction usually ties back to strawman feminism, nazi feminism, and general sexism. Or worse, anti-immigrants propaganda.

As a result, I tend to treat Wonder Woman with a lot of condescension (in private!) sometimes affectionately and sometimes not so much, especially with any depictions of Wonder Woman where she's treated as "naive about men equals naive about everything" or "strong female stereotype RAWR" or "bland feminist icon stereotype meow" or "must force my SUPPOSEDLY CORRECT FEMINIST view of reality upon the WORLD OF MEN because they're INHERENTLY EVIL - mwahahah I'm really secretly an evil Tyrant / Nazi >:]". I exaggerate but these are how she comes across throughout all media and especially in the Justice League series where all four depictions make an appearance at once.

It's a crying shame I can't love her the way comic book readers do because I spent 4 years studying Romans and Greek Mythology and am a huge fan of the Percy Jackson series and the Roma Sub Rosa mystery series. I legitimately really want to enjoy her but am scared of reading the comics about her and discovering just how deep the rabbithole of hell goes. <- This mindset is exactly what I mean whenever I say "She's ruined".

it was 2:00am, another day of summer you were talking with George on facetime. It’s has become a tradition after you and George parents wanted you to spend the summer at your own house.

“So what else did you done today” you ask George as you brush your hair and have a small smile on your face.

���not much actually, me and fred prank Percy a lot today this was quite funny” george was driving crazy without you a, two months was too much for him, he comforts himself in that he could still prank precy and have some fun with his family.

“You never going to give him a break don’t you?”

“Never love never”

You shake your head with a smile on your face,”what else?” You ask as you wanting to hear his voice more.

“Tomorrow mom is going to take us to diagon ally and I heard they ope-“ ofc the internet will ruin everything,the data at the burrow is suck it’s happening every time you and George are talking, you two got used to it honestly.

“Oh georgie wait I- can-can’t-he-hear you” you were trying to help George fix his data but the call was ended, you were sad and angry, you miss your lover more than anything, this summer is going to end in two weeks than everything will be alright. That what you told yourself but it’s felt like forever.

“My love I’m so sorry” George just texted you a message, you love him but at this moment you were angry, not on him but at his and yours parents, at his stupid data on the world on everything except George but you took your anger on him.

“I just want to see you again, to hug you again, to kiss you again, I want to fucking hold you again and NO we can do it because of our stupid parents” you sent this message to George.

“Love don’t worry two more weeks and you will have me in your arms back again I promise”

“I can’t wait two more weeks! I’ve been waiting for so long it’s not fair!!” At this point you were having a few tears that fell on your cheeks.

George felt bad and angry at this all situation he knew how you were feeling he was feeling the same,he think for a couple of minutes without returning to y/n text.

“night george” you turn your phone off, get into your bad under your cozy blanket. And cuddle with your teddy bear George won for you at a festival you two went a year ago. this teddy bear was wearing George t-shirt you stole from him, the t-shirt was still having his smell, the smell of cinnamon, vanilla, fireworks, marshmallow and the smell of home.

You eyes begin to feel heavy and slowly closed you hug the bear hard with a few tears in your eyes.

George felt so bad at this all situation, he felt worser than you, he didn’t told you that but as much he looks happy he was sad from the inside,an idea pop into George head and he didn’t think twice to do it.

The clock were now showing 7:16am it was early,but George as a light sleeper woke up and make a little bag with a few clothes in it even tho he already have at y/n.

“good morning mum, I went to surprise y/n I will stay there for a week I already check this with y/n parents don’t worry and we will both come back in time to the quidditch World Cup, love you george”

George wrote this note to his mom as fast as he could, left it on the table in the kitchen, took out his wand whisper the spell and before he could blink he was at y/n house. George loved y/n house he was there before but every time he saw pictures of baby y/n or her siblings together his heart just melt. And as he was putting his bag on the counter he notice a note for him.

“Dear George I’m so sorry I’m not there to welcome you as always , I just had to run to work y/n is still asleep she doesn’t know anything, I will be back by 4:30pm” George looked at the clock that show 8:03am, George’s eyes went back to reading the letter “both of y/n siblings is at a friends house so don’t worry about them you two just have a nice day :)”

George put the letter back on the counter and walked to y/n room, he was exiting really he missed her so much his heart is about to explode.

He open her door slowly without waking her up.he saw her lying with one arm over the teddy bear, a big smile shows on George’s face, he took off his shoes to not make any noises and slowly replaced the teddy bear, as he was now lying under her arm. He got a little closer to her face and started kissing all over her face.

Y/n slowly open her eyes at the feeling something weird on her face, she thought she was dreaming, until she open her eyes, george stop kissing your face and wanted to see your reaction. You saw a ginger figure.this is the first thing you saw, you got scared not realizing what of who is it.

As your vision get more clear you saw George, “Georgie?”

“Yes my love?” George looked at you with the biggest smile on his face, you could’ve swear his eyes were sparkling.

“Am I dreaming?” y/n put her hand on his cheeks, George let out a chuckle and said “no darling it’s not a dream I’m really here” and he prove it to her with a kiss on the lips.

Y/n realizing what going on and she warp her hands behind George’s neck, now she is on top of him. She start kissing his face, every freckle she saw she kiss. “Take it easy little one” George was now blushing. He loved her so much, he didn’t understand how he got so lucky.

“How are you even here?!” Y/n ask him still lying on top of him looking at his face. “Well I talk with your parents, sneak out of my house and here I am” George gave her a wink as he finish his sentence. “Wait what-what about molly isn’t she angry?” You ask as you heard George was sneaking out of the house without molly knowing.”well I left her a note and she can always see on the clock that I’m here,but I’m not here to talk about my mom” George gives you a pick on your lips as you smiles into the kiss not wanting to break it.

“ I have a better surprise for you” “better than you here?” Y/n asked as not expecting to something better than George is here in her arms.

“Yes much better”

“Well tell me what is it!!” Y/n was exacting this day couldn’t get any better she thought.

“I’m going to stay for a week and then YOU coming to the burrow with ME and we going to watch the quidditch World Cup!!!!”

y/n loved quidditch more watching than playing and she was George biggest fan, she sat up on his laps to realizing what she just heard. “ wait! What?! Are you joking??” George sat up lying on the headboard as he warps his armsbehind her back. “ I know I’m the comedian between us love” y/n rolled her eyes back “but now I’m not joking, are you happy?”

Nothing was more important to George than to make you and to keep you happy.

“Am I happy?!I’m the most happy person in the world!! I love you so much!” Y/n kiss his lips and he kiss back both of you afraid if one of you let go the other will be gone.

You spent the entire day just lying in each other arms talking about yours summer and how much you guys miss each other.

As soon as Nico left the locker room, Piper pounced on him. Literally.

He was forced to take a step back and caught her by the shoulders, “What’s up?”

She was practically vibrating with excitement, “Annabeth’s back!”

“Really?”

“Yeah! Come on!” She grabbed his hand and yanked him through the hallways and into the main rink where a crowd of people had formed next to the bleachers.

It was the rest of the team and in the center was Annabeth, a duffle bag slung over one shoulder, looking exhausted as all hell but she was grinning as the team peppered her with questions and play-by-plays of the practices she’d missed.

Piper shouldered them into the center so Nico was directly in front of Annabeth, Piper on one side and Calypso on the other.

“Hey, Nico,” Annabeth said, still grinning. She stepped forward for a hug and he let her, burying his face into her neck and breathing, already feeling the responsibility leaking from his tight shoulders. Annabeth was like a big sister to him, not that he’d ever admit that, but still.

“You want to get out?” Nico whispered into her neck.

“Yes,” She whispered back emphatically. Nico could barely stop himself from laughing but as they pulled apart he saw the genuine relief in her eyes and felt himself worrying. He needed to talk to her, about the team and skating, about Will and of course, if she needed to talk about why she’d been gone for so long, he’d do that too.

Apparently, Calypso recognized that too and, bless her heart, muttered something to Leo, and together they captured the team’s attention, allowing Nico to tug Annabeth away from the crowd and out of the rink. She sighed as soon as they were ejected onto the city streets. Nico stuck an arm out and she smiled and linked their arms.

“Where are you headed?” Nico asked as they walked the short distance to the car garage.

“Oh, probably just my apartment.”

Nico nodded, “I wasn’t sure if you’d be staying with your dad or not.”

She shook her head, “He doesn’t even know I landed yet. I’ll head over in the morning.”

Her voice was stiff and Nico took that as his cue to change the subject. “So I have something to confide in you.”

She perked up almost immediately and he swallowed hard. But she just looked at him with those gray eyes and he reminded himself that this was Annabeth. That she wasn’t going to get angry with him.

At least, he hoped not.

“I’m talking to one of the hockey players,” He said casually.

Her grip on his arm stiffened and he braced himself but she was still just looking at him.

Finally, she grinned, “So when you say ‘talking to’...”

He groaned and felt himself flush, “Oh, shut up! Just friends.”

She hummed and released his arm to dig for her keys in her jacket pocket. “Is he nice?”

“No, he’s a dick,” Nico said sarcastically.

Annabeth rolled her eyes, but she was still smiling. “I don’t know why I even bother.”

“He’s blonde,” Nico offered.

“Oooh,” Annabeth drawled.

He rolled his eyes and she burst out laughing, her voice echoing off the stone walls of the parking garage.

“Is he gay?” Annabeth asked.

Nico nearly flinched and passed it off with another eye roll, “I don’t know, Annie, that’s not something that’s come up in casual conversation.”

She glared at him and Nico, being the mature adult he is, stuck his tongue out at her. She did it back then shook her head. “Too much time with Percy,” She muttered and Nico snorted. She grinned at him.

“So he’s okay?”

That sobered her immediately. “Yeah. Well, as okay as he can be. I’m only here for like two weeks because he insisted I come back, but I’m leaving as soon as possible,” She glanced sideways at him, “Not to leave you alone again, though.”

He shrugged off the flash of selfish hurt he’d felt, “I’m good, Beth.” But he wasn’t good. He’d just told her about Will, and not even the start of the way his stomach would twist when he saw a new text from the hockey player and not the same twist when he panicked. And that also meant his chances of performing solo again were climbing. He didn’t know how to feel about that part.

“Stop that!” She exclaimed, halting once they’d reached her car.

“Get some sleep, Annabeth,” He said genuinely then smirked a little, “It looks like you need it.”

She threw a balled-up receipt she’d found in her bag at him, “Dick!”

Nico nearly leaped out of his skin, spinning to see Persephone in the living room.

She snorted, “Didn’t mean to scare you, sorry. Did practice go well?”

His phone buzzed in his pocket, “Yeah. Annabeth’s back.”

Persephone hummed, reaching up to untwist her hair, sending it cascading down her shoulders, “That’s good. I know you’ve missed her,” She said with a knowing look in her eyes that made him shift uncomfortably.

“Yeah, definitely, um, I’m tired we learned some new moves for Regionals today, so,”

“Yeah of course.” She was still smiling.

“‘Night Persephone,”

Nico flopped face-down onto his bed with a groan. He knew Persephone though he had a crush on Annabeth; he didn’t blame her, he’d never really made it a point that he didn’t. He wished he could come out to her and his dad, he didn’t really have a reason why he hadn’t besides the weight of anxiety on his lungs.

His phone buzzed again, and he wriggled upright to yank it out of his pocket.

Will: Distract me

Will: My mom is driving me insane

Nico grinned to himself, both of them were dealing with mommy issues at the moment.

Nico: idk how you expect me to distract you

Will blinked, Jason coming in to focus in front of him. “Uh, yeah.”

“That was believable,” Clarisse said sarcastically from behind Jason.

Will attempted to shake the fog from his head, “Yes,” He repeated.

Jason just blinked at him and Will was formulating an excuse for why he was so tired besides the fact that he’d spent all night talking to a cute figure skater with a ridiculous amount of animal facts stored in his small body when Coach Hedge’s voice boomed from his seat on the bleachers, “Solace! You alive?”

“Yes, coach!” Will shot back.

“Then why are you just standing there? Get back to the game! You too, La Rue and Grace!”

“Yes, sir!” They all barked back.

Clarisse gave him a once over before skating back to her goal and Jason went over to Will’s spot with him, “You sure you’re alright?”

“Yeah, just tired.”

Jason opened his mouth, probably to question why the mom friend of their group was tired enough he nearly tripped over his stick but Will just said, “It’s fine, Jase. It’s not a big deal.”

“Grace!” Coach Hedge screeched.

Jason gave up on trying to interrogate Will and skated back over to his spot.

“Willaim. Hush. How’s that girl you said you were dating?”

He was silent for a beat too long.

“Oh, baby,” His mother’s thick southern accent drenched her words. “You broke up? I’m so sorry.”

Oh gods, Lou Ellen Blackstone.

Will and Lou Ellen had dated for two months a long time ago, and when they were still dating he’d told his mother about her to get her to back off of his personal life a little. Their break up hadn’t had a huge fallout, Lou Ellen had told him through tears in his living room that she was aromantic. They were still friends, had been even before they dated, actually, and talked to each other pretty regularly.

But the problem was, that had been three months ago, and he hadn’t told his mother about their breakup. He knew she’d ask why, and he didn’t want to out Lou Ellen or make her a devil in his mother’s eyes. So he’d procrastinated coming up with a reason until he’d forgotten about it entirely.

And now it had come back to bite him in the ass.

“Yeah we broke up a little while ago,” He forced himself to sound choked up, which wasn’t hard, giving the way his panicked brain was now sprinting in circles on his lungs. “I just didn’t disappoint you.” Probably the most honest thing he’d said in weeks, but that’ll be unpacked later.

“Honey,” She sighed sadly and Will didn’t know whether or not that was on his behalf or hers.

“Well, it’s okay, because I’m dating someone new.”

“Oh?” He could hear her spine straighten. “Is it someone I know?”

No, mom, it’s not one of the country girls I grew up with.

“No,” He winced at how southern he sounded. He’d been talking to his mother for five minutes. “You don’t know him.”

HIM. Good Gods, Will. Yeah, you came out as bi to your mom, but still, you haven’t actually mentioned a guy to her yet.

She was silent for so long his heart joined his brain in the track meet happening on top of his lungs. “What’s his name?”

He was so she’d spoken that he blurted, “Nico.”

What. The. Fuck. Willaim.

Apparently, his heart had won that damn track race.

“Well, what I was leading up to before you told me about what happened,”

Will hummed non-committally, trying not to sound like he was taking relieved breaths as she spoke.

“The family’s come for a reunion and you should bring that boy!” Will choked on his spit.

“Mom, I don’t know about-”

“No, William. There isn’t a set date yet so we can work around your schedule,” Fuck. “I insist, Will. I need to meet this boy you clearly like very much, even though all you’ve said is his name, a mother knows.”

Umm, what.

“Sure,” Will said, sounding a little strangled. “But we have a game this weekend.”

“Alright, William.” She sounded the way she always did when he brought up hockey. “But as I said, we can work around your schedule and his. Talk to him about it, and let me know.”

“Yeah. Yeah,” Will repeated. “I’ll do that.”

She hung up and he was left staring at the wilting daisies at his kitchen table.

this post will be talking about all of the ghost au's ive created or co-created including talking about ghost au's from old fandom's that i am no longer in. if you want to ask about any of my au's my ask box and dm's are always open this includes the hermitcraft au but keep it to a minimum please also if any of the creator's of the characters have said that they arent comfortable with what im making ( with proof ofc) i will edit or delete what is needed to fit in the boundaries also another thing this is a long post if you just want the art go under the cut! this post will discuss how each au works and basic plot stuff about them the fandoms in this post are hermitcraft, epithet erased, and dsmp okay first things first-

my hermitcraft au (what a pity)-

On my old tumblr account I made a few posts about it along with a fanfic which never got finished due to me not wanting to interact with the fandom any more due to personal reasons and also I'm not very good at writing imo but I think I'm ready to talk about it again. Just keep in mind i will most likely not talk about this fandom ever again at least not on here again for personal preference : -) it was about season 6 Grian since he was who i was hyperfixating on at the time, being haunted by the ghosts of Sam and Taurtis, both of them from the old roleplay series' Yandere High School, and Tokyo Soul, and taurtis from Grians old-ish smp Evo. Since I never finished the fanfiction nobody but me and close friends ever got to hear the full story i had planned but now you will i guess. It was mainly just grian stressing about Sam and Taurtis being ghosts and him worrying about being crazy, though he would still join the hippies during the area 77 war he would be significantly more stressed especially when finding out that Sam and Taurtis have been possessing his body during the night, he’s more worried about Sam though because of his track record back in the other servers( yhs and ts) it was going to be that Sam (although death isn't permanent) would go on a killing spree in Grians body which would cause the area 77 guys to put him in the facility to see what's going on with him, and it didn't get further then that. My favorite part of this au much like all of my au’s were the design elements i had for it which i'll have under the cut with the other designs. Now for a rundown of how the ghost physics work in this world, in typical ghost fashion Sam and Taurtis were not able to touch or move anything, but they were able to interact with Grian, him being the only person who could see/hear/or touch them. Their only super natural abilities is being able to possess Grian.

Okay! Time for my Epithet Erased au!: Unlike what a pity this one doesn't have a name or a fanfic to go with it as said before i'm not exactly a writer but i have talked about it a bit before on this account along with posting the designs and general concept but i'll go more in depth here! As said in my original post this au was a co-creation with my best friend and sibling @brocolibean so go check bun out ^^ Unlike ‘What a Pity’ it was more lighthearted and comedy centric because it dealt with a bit more and also the original show is a comedy. This au didn't include the character’s epithets so they are all humans. This will also include talking about house each ghost died so if your uncomfortable hearing about that you might want to skip the ghosts portion Just like the original post I'll separate the story summary into 3 parts with intervals in between to talk about the ghosts. First we have the Banzai boys part of the story. Giovanni, Spike, Dark Star, Crusher, Flame Thrower, Car Crash, and Ben all decide to move into a house together so they could all easily split the rent since its close to their collage, the house, which they get for cheap, is aa very old house with sketchy history. But it's a huge house for cheap so they don't complain they encounter the ghosts very early on living in the house and they swear to figure out how they died so they can get their memory back! The ghosts, Molly, Sylvie, Trixie, and Pheonica have no memory! All they know is that there are ghosts! They are connected to the property of this house but if you where to get something- like perhaps a stone from the property the ghost is still technically attached to it therefore the ghost can go with you anywhere Speaking of- -Phoenicia Fleecity is one of the last ghosts to show herself, her body is found in the overgrown garden flowers growing over her skeleton, she is from the victorian era making her the oldest out of the ghosts though he death is the most mysterious -Molly Blindeff is the first ghost the group meets her decomposed body is found buried in the floorboards of the living room, found when gio decided that the house needed renovation and taking matters into his own hands, she died via blunt force trauma i will not be going into detail here because i'm still thinking of doing something with this au she died in the early 2000’s -Sylvester Ashling is the second ghost to show himself though he didn't want to, his body was found in the bottom of the pond in the backyard of the house in the garden. His body while it was decomposing and falling apart was still intact, bloated from drowning. Again i wont go into detail but this wasn't an accident time of death is unknown -Trixie Roughhouse is the third person to show themselves to the Banzai Blasters she is found in the bushes in the backyard her face disfigured from some sort of explosion unlike the others it seems like it was purely an accident, like sylvie their time of death is unknown Mera Salamin is the collages part time librarian nicknamed “the library witch” she started seeing her ghost after obtaining a neck bow with a blue pendant from a pawnshop she got it cause it was pretty and didn't expect a himbo to come along with it -Indus Tarbella is a ghost who is attached to the pendant and bow Mera wear it used to be his own until he was decapitated wearing it through he was properly buried he has no troublesome memories about what happened even after seeing his body he’s just happy to be with Mera Percival King is a security guard at the college and one of the best at that, she wields a story she got from a pawn shop as its her preferred weapon she takes her job very seriously -Ramsey and Zora both died by the same sword while fighting neither remember who wielded the sword, even after death they hate each other and hate being bound together even more Everyone ends up meeting and finding out they all have ghost hijinks ensue. The way ghosts work in this world is a bit strange I'll admit but it's one of my favorites. The ghosts can interact with the human world(menma style) but

they can only talk to the others who can see them (the Banzai Blasters, mera and percy) and the ghosts can interact with each other ghosts in this au attach themselves to an item or property that has someway to do with their death, the kids in the property, Indus it's the bow, and the sword duo is well, the sword Percy carries. As alluded to from before Gio and the rest of the boys end up carrying a bit of the property with them in the form of friendship bracelets four for each of them which makes 28 different bracelets so the kids can decide who to follow around for the day.i talked about how percy and Mera’s items work enough but i would like to mention that Indus does most of the heavy lifting around the library but becaus enoone else can see indus they assume she’s magical, the glowing pendant doesn't help.

The last two au’s i want to talk about are both dream smp au’s

though i've never talked about them online until now, again thanks to @brocolibean for letting me brain vomit my way through these au’s and helping me out with things i love them please check him out I'll be honest i'm so scared of this fandom so i'm afraid to talk about my au’s please be nice to me Also this is all roleplay and fiction!<3 The first one i'll talking about is the dsmp ghost hunters au Sam runs a company where groups of people hunt ghosts for money! Those groups being Phil, Technoblade, Wilbur,Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo Dream, George, Sapnap, Quackity, Karl Bad, ant, Skeppy, and Puffy There’s most likely more but there the only people i can think of at this moment The only canonical ghost being Schlatt This au doesn't have a proper story perse it's more about gags and stuff about the different character fighting over ghosts for money but the story stuff i do have- Sbi family dynamic is real here you can rejoice, Phil adopts Tubbo after his dad (Schlatt) kicks the bucket and fucking dies , Tubbo befriend’s Ranboo some mysterious teen who just desperately needs a job so he- and the rest of the Minecraft family help him get one- though they find out Ranboo isnt as human as he was made out to be and he finds out he’s this worlds version of angels called ender’s and he’s there to protect Tubbo and Tommy which explains why the more violent ghosts start being less violent at the arrival of Ranboo joining their team. Bad isn't human either being a demon his entire group know’s plus quackity. Quackity found out but squirting him with holy water through a water gun but don't worry he promised not to tell anyone; -) Bad and Ranboo know about each other because they see each other as their true forms The minecraft fam found out about Schlatt being a ghost through Tommy- despite Tubbo telling him not to- telling them from calling up and paying for them to investigate their own house saying “technically i didn't tell them” they ended up not getting rid of Schlatt though I'm not going to talk about how the ghosts here work because it's not super important to the plot

The second au is another ghost au where the main characters are ghosts themselves,

like the others its mainly lighthearted and comedic with dark attributes The plot surrounds the sbi family moving into a new house and Tommy finding out it's being haunted by two ghost’s. Those ghosts being Tubbo and Ranboo This au isn't fully figured out but I know that he found out he was haunted by sending a selfie to someone(possibly Drista and Purpled? Since there are only other minors who were part of the dsmp lore? But ultimately idk) and them being like “yo i didn't know you had friends” and him being like “?????” Tubbo died from a boiler exploding and Ranboo died from drowning (which are apparently my two favorite deaths) this also doesn't have an official story? It was just an excuse to make ghost designs with a bit of a story without the commitment As said before it's a sbi au but also a Dadschlatt au cuz I like Dadschlatt au’s. The main story bits i have are background stuff for Tubbo and Ranboo which ill elaborate now The house was originally meant to be just a summer home because it had a large lake in the backyard Ranboo’s family would go there often but that doesn't mean his family liked him very much because of his heterochromia, Vitiligo, and his height his family thought he was strayed from god and drowned him Tubbo died during sleep while Schlatt wasn't home either out drinking or just at work he came home to the house being partially blown up and his son nowhere to be seen he calls Puffy out of fear and she calls the cops. He moves away and most likely starts drinking a bit more. The house gets rebuilt and now the sbi live there hijinks ensue! The ghosts in this au work in a simpler manor only Tommy can see them unless a photo is taken but even then they are blurred, they can float and go through walls and their ability to touch things is limited Ranboo’s memory is worse then Tubbo’s but Tubbo’s isn’t much better.

- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. - travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were  thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong. 

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up.  the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

I wanted to ask!! how did the swimming classes end? I imagine everyone was a bit sentimental, and they had a lot of fun after the last class finished 💙

Anon, I have been thinking about this ask all day.

So like, it was Percy's last class and he'd been teaching it for two years, so he absolutely would have been pretty emotional just because of that, but then with how meaningful it became that last semester?? And with Leo moving away in a few weeks?? And the fact that it won't be too much longer until he stops training in that pool all together?? That's a lot of change happening all at once. Too much. But then Percy's not the type to get overly emotional in public, so he'd probably approach it the same as any old class, crack some jokes, maybe say a couple parting words to the class as a whole toward the end of the hour.

It's Friday tho! The swim class group always has lunch together on Fridays. So they go to lunch with an emotionally volatile Percy who's pretty obviously trying to bury his feelings. Unfortunately for him, three of the four in that group are VERY attuned to his moods and feelings (at least as attuned to someone's feelings as Leo can be). They also love him VERY deeply and know he gets flustered easily whenever attention/praise is being showered on him, so ofc that means it's time to make him Suffer.

They make a game of trying to get him to let it all out. Hazel talks about how scared she was about moving to the city for school and how having Percy's class as her first one on her very first day of school made it a little less scary. Leo is also not good at Emotions, so he's not as sentimental, but says something about how he's never going to workout when he moves away bc he only did it to hang out with Percy and Hazel. Frank catches on to what they're doing pretty quick because they're obvious and he's a smart guy, so he admits to all the reservations he had about the class and how Percy actually made it really fun and comfortable for him.

At this point Percy has also caught on to what's happening bc he's also a smart guy sometimes. He's not going to cry tho. He's prepared for whatever Annabeth is about to pull out in an attempt to destroy him. No long and sentimental speech is going to break him.

All Annabeth says is, "I'm just glad I didn't take tennis."

Percy doesn't cry cry, but he definitely gets misty eyed, and they never let him live down the fact that he cried over the prospect of Annabeth taking a tennis class.

GOSH this is a lot of questions, lemme give it my best shot.

1.) I sometimes still post art on my art instagram, but I prefer not to cross the beams of that and my tumblr so much. If someone rlly wants the handle tho, feel free to ask. 

2.) If this means like...nicknames, too many to count. One of my first URLs was something like “pensword,” which was a reference to Percy Jackson!

3.) I was KINDA in it in 2017 when the first movie came out, but it didn’t hold my attention too much. In September 2020, I really got into IT, tho! I got into it because I realized it was coming up on a year since I saw the second one in theaters (during a wind advisory night in the city I go to college, on Halloween). For a couple of silly reasons (my ex belittling IT a little and me being weirdly internalized homophobic abt it) I was scared to enjoy it publicly haha

4.) My favorite ship in the fandom, ofc, is Reddie! I am kinda basic so I also really think Ben and Bev are sweet. I also really liked Patty and Stan together in the book... they were so achingly sweet together that the bath chapter made me cry for a HOT MINUTE.

Richie is my all time favorite character for reasons I could probably write like 50 pages on! Some of those reasons are like super-duper personal lol so I pull punches on just dumping them on my blog haha! I just really really related to him for a lot of reasons (the humor coping mechanism and the werewolf thingy, to name a couple) so it was only natural I latched onto that boy and went full send kinnie moment!

Eddie is my second favorite bc I love him and wanted the best for him (I don’t want to start disc horse on tumblr, but my gf and I have schemed abt who should have kicked it at the end and it ain’t him). I also have a soft spot for kid Ben in the book, bc I really thought he was a sweetheart (I mean, cmon, walking around whispering Bev’s name? Adorable! Hiding away in libraries? Relatable!)

5.) I’ve done a bunch of stuff! This blog has a ton of IT content. I have made a bunch of fan art (most of which hasn’t been posted sdjbvkdsjbvk). I have written a couple fanfics (a finished oneshot and one unfinished longer one that will...probably stay that way). I have a reddie playlist on spotify, too.

6.) There’s been a few people who’ve done some IT stuff I’ve really liked! Uhh @stitchyarts  wrote some fics and has done some beautiful art to go with it that I really liked!! @skelesocks did some HELLA charming art, tho is now mostly Queen blog. No shade there, I have a Queen blog, too, lol. Ask for the URL if you want it. Both of them focused on the miniseries tho.

There’s a couple artists who have done Reddie stuff I have really liked, too, which is super inspiring. here’s a few of those: @trashcanprince @mxgicdave @meowsteryyy ..... tbh fave IT blog of all time tho has to be my gf, em, @dr-kaspbrakmd , bc she got me full swing obsessing and also it was a big bonding thing for us early into the relationship *pauses for crowd to say AWWWWW*

7.) Assuming this means fanfics, like I said, a lot of Stitchy’s works, especially Tinted Windows and TV Guides (which now i rlly want to re-read lol). I kinda have a hard time with fanfic reading bc im picky and sometimes it’s better to daydream my own stories. The other Reddie fics I’ve liked will make yall get the shepherd’s hook and yoink me off stage for public indecency for sure so I’m gonna leave that to ur imagination <3

8.) I feel positively heinous and pick-me trying to get ppl to read my old reddie fics that I wrote during the crushing weight of crippling lonliness so no. they r also not rlly that good so you’re welcome <3

9.) No actually! I have thought about it. I have also schemed the idea of starting my own reddie zine and being super choosey about who gets in but that’s just me wanting to curate content I like lollll.

10.) uhhh decorum, understanding of complex relationships/emotional situations, and the common sense not to fetishize gay men <3 that sounds rlly snotty but there’s some activity tm in this fandom that yucks me out big time. Also, I wish more ppl would have seen the miniseries/read the book but that’s just me being choosy.
