A small holiday to Argentina with friends was just to unwind from the stress of your daily life, you definitely didn’t mean to end up in some cute guy's bed that you met whilst sunbathing at the beach.
Your friends had babbled on about how he was a great athlete, volleyball to be specific. You didn’t know if they were lying or not though since you’d never watched volleyball.
Your thoughts were soon interrupted by Tōru rolling over in the bed, one strong arm wrapping around your waist as he pulled you in close enough to bury his face against the crook of your neck. “Well good morning, beautiful.” he mumbled against your skin, tongue darting out to run over the rose shade marks blooming on your skin from last night.
You laugh a little as he lifts his head to look down at you, “Morning to you too.” you smile as he grins at you cheekily.
God, he’s gorgeous. How did I get the courage to approach him yesterday?
“I don’t know how but you look even prettier when you’ve just woken up.” he says with effortless charm, making you wonder if he's used that line before. You laugh a little, shaking off the compliment as you sit up to get out of bed.
“Nuh uh-” his smirk evident in his tone as he pulls you back. “It’s still early and I don’t want you disappearing on me....Besides, I’m not against a repeat of last night.” he teases as he leans in to kiss you.
Instead of resisting, you let yourself fall back onto the bed, a smile curving your lips as you kiss back. You didn't even know him all that well yet but something about this felt right.
As his tongue met yours, your fingers threaded through his hair, tugging gently as the kiss deepened. The warmth in your chest grew, desire blooming as he trailed kisses down your neck. You hummed softly, arching into the sensation.
Tōru's hand wanders down your curves, before settling on your inner thigh. He trails kisses down your body until he was hovering right above your panties.
However, you hadn’t eaten since yesterday evening and of course your stomach decided to make it known in the most obnoxiously loud rumble that lasted a good 10 seconds.
He bites your thigh softly, laughing a little, the sound, captivating.  “You hungry?”
“Mhm…what gave it away?”
He snorts, retreating as he sits up, “Come, let’s get you some food.”
“But-”
“We’ll still be having a repeat of last night, don’t you worry, but when you’ve eaten. I’m a hospitable man and I know how to treat a pretty lady.” he teases as he gets out of bed, throwing some shorts on.
You follow not long after, slipping out of the comfy bed and opting to wear his t-shirt, since your only other option was the dress you wore last night.
You walked down the hall and past the living room, admiring the apartment. Every corner decorated with memories and trinkets, it was nice and homey. Picture frames adorned the walls, some of Tōru with who you’d assume was friends or family and also...volleyball pictures.
So he is actually a volleyball player.
You reached the kitchen as you settled on the counter whilst he rummaged through his fridge and cupboards with a defeated expression, “It would seem that I need to do a weekly shop." he says sheepishly, "But I have fruit for days. Oranges, strawberries, mangoes, you name it. You know, if that's okay, for now?"
"Fruit sounds great, I can let you off the hook for no breakfast if this fruit is top notch." you joke, watching as he began preparing the fruit, cutting each individual one into neat slices and placing them on a plate.
"So, tell me more about you. I only remember bits and pieces from last night," you say, curious to learn more about the man you shared a passionate night with.
Tōru glanced up at you, a proud smile on his face as he mentioned, "I'm a volleyball player...a setter. It's the best sport in the world, albeit I'm a littlee biased."
He places a plate of fruit beside you as he continues, "Club Athletico San Juan, if you wanna see a game of mine."
The conversation flowed easily, both of you laughing and getting to know each other better. It was effortless, natural and a part of you wondered if this would've been something more, had this not been a brief holiday, but you shrugged it off.
He handed you an orange slice which you accepted as you gazed at him, a smile playing on your lips. There was something magnetic about him, a pull that you couldn't deny. His golden brown eyes and messy chocolate hair was definitely a sight you could appreciate.
You wished you could stay longer, to explore every inch of this newfound connection. Still, you could enjoy the present, savouring the taste of the orange and the company of a stranger who became so much more within a single night.
As you both indulged in the fruit platter, you shared laughs. The atmosphere light, the bond between the two of you growing stronger with every passing second. You felt comfortable, at ease, and happy.
“How long are you here for?” he asks.
"The next two weeks," you reply, setting the half-eaten orange on the plate, biting your lip. "Maybe I'll catch a game whilst I'm here."
There was a spark in his eyes at the thought, and you couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. With a smile, he assured you, "Absolutely. I'll make sure to get you one of the best seats...You wanna watch my ass or my face?"
You blurt out laughing, "No no, I'll properly watch the game, you can run me through the rules...either sight's a bonus though."
As your laughter and chatter filled the room, he couldn't help but focus on everything about you, your hair, your eyes, your smile, he can't remember a time he was this attracted to someone.
"Well I couldn't give you a proper breakfast this morning, aside from some delicious fruit, so you have to let me take you to dinner on at least one night." he argues.
"Deal. Dinner sounds lovely."
With the agreement made, you both finished up your fruit, the conversation easing into the background as you enjoyed each other's company in comfortable silence.
"You've got fruit juice all over your lips." you tell Tōru with a laugh
"You're not one to talk, angel." he retorted with a grin, wiping the remnants of the juice from your lips with a thumb, deliberate and slow, the juice coating his thumb.
"Maybe I should clean you up properly." He leaned in, claiming your lips again, the taste of the fruit still on your tongues. You were caught in a whirlwind of passion, the morning sun casting a golden light on the both of you.
The sweetness of the orange mingling with the heat of his kiss. A gentle moan escaping your lips as you pulled him in closer, craving the intimacy.
He steadied you on the counter with one hand, as the other pushed its way into your panties, sliding through your folds. A gasp slipped past your lips as he rubbed his thumb against your clit, eliciting a shiver from the intimate touch.
His fingers teased you, the sensations leaving you desperate for more. Your head fell back, trusting him completely as the connection between the two of you intensified.
Every movement of his fingers sent shockwaves through your body, the pleasure mounting "Tōru," you whispered, nails digging into his forearm.
"Hmm?" he hummed against your mouth, his fingers never stopping.
"Please," you begged, the pleasure threatening to consume you whole.
A wicked smile curled on his lips as he watched your reaction with charmed interest. He tugged your panties to the side as he lowered himself down enough to kiss along your thighs, trailing closer to your pussy.
"Tōru!" you exclaimed, stifling a moan as he shifted, his warm breath brushing against your sensitive skin. He momentarily replaced his fingers with his mouth, the delightful contrast of cool air and heat washing over you. Pleasure rippled through your body as his tongue flicked against you, each lick drawing you closer to the edge.
You gripped the counter, your body taut with anticipation, riding the waves of ecstasy as he explored you. He could sense how your body quivered under his mouth, the tension mounting, and he increased the pressure, his lips sucking at your clit, his tongue licking and circling around it.
His hand found the back of your thigh, using it to spread your legs open a little more, allowing better access and stopping you from forcing your legs shut from the sensation.
He could taste your arousal, the sweetness of your desire. It made his own cock throb in his pants, but he stifled the urge for now, focused solely on pleasuring you. As he continued his ministrations, the rhythmic motions driving you closer and closer to the edge, he pressed a finger into you gently.
Your soft moans were music to his ears, each one a testament to the pleasure he was giving you. He felt your body tense and he knew you were close. He curled his fingers at the right angle, fervently sucking on your clit. You arched your back, breath hitching in your throat as he continued, his fingers relentless, pushing you higher and higher.
With a last, precise thrust of his fingers, he heard your cry of pleasure, felt your body shudder and convulse. He smiled against your wet folds, savouring the quivering muscles and the way you shook slightly.
"Much sweeter than the fruit" he murmured, his voice thick with adoration. He paused for a moment, letting you come down from your high before withdrawing completely.
"Feel like we should make the most of this brief time we have." you manage to finally say as your breathing steadies, looking down at him between your thighs.
Tōru agrees, his eyes sparkling with mischief and desire, your own juices now running down his chin, which he wipes away, only to lick his fingers clean.
“Have I shown you the view?” he teases, and you’re unsure where this is going as he guides you off the counter, walking you over to the floor to ceiling windows in the living room.
The view of course being a beautiful and mesmerising sea view. The waves crashing against the shore as the water sparkled under the sun.
He leans down, whispering in your air, “You can watch the sea as I fuck you...You know, really appreciate Argentina whilst you’re here.” he jokes, slipping your underwear completely down to your ankles, his shorts joining them on the floor as he lifts up the shirt that you're wearing, his shirt.
“Alright, pretty,” he says huskily, “Let's enjoy the view.” He has you against the cool glass as he lines himself up, one hand reaching around to rest on your stomach.
“Ready?” he asks, his voice low and rough. Your hips rock back, inviting him in, the head of his cock nudging at your entrance. With a deep growl, he pushes in, filling you completely. The combination of fullness and the sight before you sends shivers down your spine.
“Fuck, yes,” Tōru groans, pulling back slightly before thrusting forward once more. The rhythm quickens, his hand gripping your hip to steady your movements, and your moans growing louder as you watch the horizon.
His movements become more urgent, each thrust driving deeper. His hand moves from your stomach to move your hair, exposing the tender skin of your neck. He presses soft kisses there, his teeth nipping and scraping, marking you as his, if only during these two weeks.
The sensations build, your body arching, begging for release. Tōru can sense your need, and he responds by thrusting faster, the sound of flesh meeting flesh echoing through the spacious room.
“You look real good in my shirt, fuck- but you’d look better if it was my volleyball one.” he groans at the thought of you wearing his name and number, the image sending waves of desire through him.
He can already imagine it, you wearing his jersey, your hair dishevelled, a sly grin on your lips as you lay in his bed, waiting for him. The mental image fuels his actions, his pace becoming frantic, desperate.
God, he’d known you for no more than 24 hours but he was hooked already, captivated by you.
His grip tightens on your hip, the force of his thrusts increasing, each one bringing you closer to the edge. Your eyes flutter shut for a moment before Tōru's voice meets your ear, "Open your eyes, baby-" a small whine escaping his throat that he tries to cover up by nibbling your earlobe.
As your eyes flutter open at Tōru's urging, you're still reeling from the sensation of his cock stretching you out. "Necochea," he says, his voice thick and heavy with lust, "Is a small city, the beach is perfect for surfing."
His hands roam along your body as he lifts one of your legs to allow himelf to thrust deeper, "Quequen Lighthouse's nice, I should show you." he says and you're hardly paying attention to what he's saying when he's hitting all the right spots.
"As much as I would love to learn about this place, kindly shut up for the moment." you say breathily, a small laugh escaping before your breath hitches as his fingers meet your clit.
He chuckles at your demand, as he continues the movement of his skilled fingers. "Don't worry, baby, I promise I'll show you all the best parts of this place, might have to steal you from your friends."
Tōru keeps his word, his hand working mercilessly, his cock pounding into you, his thrusts deep and unrelenting. The dual assault has you teetering on the edge once more, your body pressed against the glass, completely at his mercy.
“Almost there, angel,” he promises, his voice a low rumble, "Tell me when you're ready for me to fill you up.” his words and the feeling of his thrusts was overwhelming to say the least.
You gasp, your mind swimming in a sea of sensation, unable to form words. It's all too much as your muscles spasm, your climax crashing over you, utterly consuming you.
Tōru feels you tighten around him, and with a deep growl, he follows you over the edge, his cum filling you completely to the brim as he holds you close, your bodies sticky with sweat and desire. He rests his head on yours as he tries to steady his breathing.
Finally, he pulls out, easing your leg back down as he turns you around, "Thank you for letting me show you a different side of Argentina," he murmurs, his voice soft and laced with contentment.
His lips find yours in a deep, lingering kiss, the scent of sex and sweat mixing with the salty tang of the sea in the background.
He holds you close, tapping your legs as if urging you to lift them, so you do, wrapping them around his waist as he lifts you up, moving through the apartment, tongues still dancing against one another.
He grins into the kiss as he carries you to the bedroom, "One more round and then I swear I'll drive you back to your Airbnb." he teases, laying you down on his bed.
“But you better come to my game next friday.”

in which, you and harry decided to go for a little family holiday to start the new year off on the right foot, and went to a caribbean island, where your just trying to enjoy yourselves, and spend some quality time with your two children, when a couple of fans spot your husband.
Tumblr media
As the first light of the new year streamed through the curtains, you woke up to the sweet realization that your partner had planned a surprise holiday to the Caribbean.
The joy in your heart was mirrored in the excited expressions of Kai, your energetic five-year-old, and little Lexi, who had just turned six months old. The promise of sun-soaked beaches and turquoise waters made the early morning hustle of packing bags and herding the family to the airport an adventure in itself.
Arriving at your tropical destination, the sound of gentle waves and the warmth of the sun embraced you. The resort's palm-fringed surroundings set the stage for a family retreat filled with laughter and cherished moments.
The holiday would be lasting a total of two weeks and so far the four of you had been there for four out of a possible fourteen.
The first day was spent chilling and getting the kids into a routine, the second day was filled with sunbathing and the third day you took the kids to do some activities so that they wouldn’t get too bored.
It was the afternoon of the fourth day at the resort, for a majority of the morning you had all gone for a walk, trying to get your bearings of where you were going to be staying.
It was nearing one pm now, and the four of you were making your way to the hotel outdoor restaurant, where other families, friends and couples were currently sat, all decked out in summer clothes just like you and your family were.
The rhythmic roll of the stroller, carrying the enchanting Lexi, created a soothing background to the lively atmosphere. Harry, with Kai perched on his shoulders, exuded paternal pride as his son's tiny fingers playfully explored the newly sprouting hair after a recent buzz cut.
The infectious giggles from Kai echoed through the space, forming a symphony of joy that seemed to harmonize with the clinking of cutlery and murmurs of other guests.
Just moments later, a courteous waiter approached, exuding the charm of the Caribbean hospitality.
"Good afternoon! Can I start you off with some drinks?" he inquired with a warm smile.
Harry, with a chuckle, ordered a beer for himself, emphasising that it was a well-deserved vacation treat.
Kai, his eyes sparkling, announced proudly, "Chocolate milkshake, please!"
You joined in, opting for a refreshing mojito to complement the tropical ambiance. The waiter, noting down the orders, promised to return shortly with the concoctions that would add an extra layer of delight to your family gathering.
The backdrop of the restaurant's tropical charm provided the perfect setting for a moment of connection.
"This surprise vacation was a brilliant idea," you remarked, a smile playing on your lips.
Harry, his eyes filled with satisfaction, responded, "M’figured we all needed a break, and what better way t’start the year?"
Kai, still perched atop his father's shoulders, chimed in, "I like the beach, Mommy! Can we build a sandcastle tomorrow?"
His enthusiasm was infectious, prompting laughter from both you and Harry.
"Absolutely, buddy! We'll build the biggest sandcastle the beach ‘as ever seen," Harry promised, ruffling Kai's hair.
November 2019, you gave birth to Kai Robin Styles, at a home birth in yours and Harry’s London home.
As the conversation continued, you found yourselves reflecting on the year that had passed and the excitement of what lay ahead.
“ ‘Member when Lex was just a tiny bump?" Harry mused, glancing affectionately at your baby girl. "Now look at her, enjoying her first vacation. Time really does fly,"
You had gone into Labour with Lexi Anne Styles after Harry’s Show in Warsaw, the birth wasn’t very traumatic but the fact that you have birth in the backstage area of a stadium add a million different stress levels.
The waiter returned with a tray of drinks, delivering a frothy beer for Harry, a velvety chocolate milkshake for Kai, and a refreshing mojito for yourself.
The clinking of glasses marked the beginning of a shared toast.
"To family adventures and new beginnings," Harry proposed, raising his beer.
It wasn’t long before you had placed your food orders, and then it was back to chit chatting.
Lexi began to express her hunger with soft whimpers from the comfort of her stroller. Harry, always attuned to his children's needs, suggested, "Looks like someone's ready f’a meal. How about I feed her?"
Agreeing with a smile, you watched affectionately as Harry gently lifted Lexi from the stroller. With practised ease, he retrieved the pre-made bottle from the baby bag. Cradling Lexi in his arms, he began a tender dialogue, showering her with words of endearment.
"Y’know, Love bug, y’the most perfect baby in the world. Mom and I are so lucky t’have you," he whispered, his words infused with a genuine warmth that mirrored the love you both felt for your little one.
As Harry spoke to Lexi, your gaze shifted to Kai, who was deeply immersed in coloring his book. His tiny fingers danced across the paper, creating vibrant strokes that mirrored the lively atmosphere of the Caribbean surroundings. The restaurant transformed into a canvas of family moments — the quiet focus of an older brother, the nurturing presence of a father, and the unspoken connection between mother and daughter.
Amidst the lively ambiance of the restaurant, you couldn't help but notice a group of girls at a nearby table who seemed to have recognized your husband. Whispers and excited glances were exchanged among them, and you could see them mustering the courage to approach him for a photo.
Sensing their intentions, you leaned in to Harry and discreetly warned him about the approaching fangirls.
Harry, with a resigned sigh, glanced over his shoulder and nodded.
"Just ignore ‘em, love. It happens," he reassured you, his eyes reflecting the weariness of a man accustomed to such encounters.
The prospect of being in the spotlight, even during a family dinner, was not a new experience for him. Grateful that your kids were facing away, oblivious to the attention, you both focused on enjoying the moment together as a family.
As the girls behind you worked up the courage to approach, you and Harry engaged in casual conversation, attempting to divert attention from the brewing fan encounter.
"Remember that time in Paris?" you teased, trying to lighten the mood. Harry chuckled, because he knew exactly what you were talking about.
"Good times," he agreed, sharing a smile with you, appreciating the effort to shield your family from the attention that occasionally came with his public persona.
“H, there definitely coming.”
Harry, glancing over his shoulder, nodded in acknowledgment.
"Yeah, I see them. Just give them a friendly smile if they approach, and I'll handle it. S’not let it bother us," he suggested, his voice carrying a hint of resignation.
He was no stranger to such encounters, having navigated the challenges of fame before. The weariness in his eyes reflected a desire for a quiet family dinner undisturbed by fan interactions.
The restaurant buzzed with activity as the group of excited fans approached your table.
"Harry, we're such huge fans! Can we get a quick photo and an autograph?" one of them eagerly requested, holding out a notepad and a pen.
With a gracious smile, Harry acknowledged their enthusiasm.
"M’grateful f’your support, but at the moment, we're trying to have a quiet family dinner, so I won't be able to do autographs right now," he gently explained, a polite refusal delivered with a sense of understanding.
Despite his explanation, the fans persisted, urging for both a photo and an autograph. The atmosphere at the table shifted as Lexi, nestled in Harry's lap, started to express her unease with a few whimpers.
Sensing his sister's discomfort, Kai moved closer to your side, seeking comfort in the familiar presence of family. Harry, noticing the subtle disruption, addressed the fans with empathy.
The fans, eager to capture a moment with their idol, continued to press for both a photo and an autograph. Harry, maintaining his composure, gently reiterated, "I really appreciate y’support, but right now, We're just trying t’enjoy a family dinner without any interruptions."
The fans, realizing the impact on the children, paused for a moment. Harry, sensing the need to reinforce the boundary, continued,
"Thanks for understanding." His words were delivered with a blend of gratitude and a protective instinct for his family.
As the fans reluctantly stepped back, a mix of disappointment and understanding painted their expressions. Your family returned to the rhythm of your evening, attempting to reclaim the sense of tranquillity that had been momentarily disrupted. Lexi, still cradled in Harry's arms, gradually settled, comforted by the familiar presence of her parents and brother.
Harry, with a reassuring smile, turned his attention back to the dinner table.
"Sorry about that, m’love," he whispered to you, the gentle apology carrying the weight of the delicate balancing act that came with his fame.
"It's alright," you responded, understanding the complexities of navigating public and private moments.
Kai, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, looked up from his colouring book with a curious expression.
"Why did those people want pictures, Mommy?" he asked, his innocent curiosity breaking the momentary tension.
You looked down to his eye level, offering a simple yet honest explanation, "Sometimes, people recognize Daddy from his work, and they want to say hello or take a picture because they really like what he does."
Harry, appreciating your delicate handling of the situation, chimed in,
"That's right, buddy. Daddy's work makes people happy, and sometimes they just want to share that happiness with us."
Sensing his sons discomfort, Harry gently ushered him over, placing him on the other side of his lap.
"Hey, Kai, come here, sweet boy," Harry said softly, creating a protective space for him. As Kai nestled in closer,
Harry continued, "I want you t’know that no matter what happens, Daddy will always keep you safe. Those moments might be a bit strange, but we're a team, okay?"
Kai, his big brown eyes searching for reassurance, nodded in understanding. "
Team," he echoed, a small smile breaking through the remnants of unease.
Harry wrapped his arm around Kai, holding him close to his chest.
"Exactly, little man. We're a team, and nothing will ever change that," Harry affirmed, his voice a soothing melody of love and comfort.

Part two of a fluffy lil half orc yandere monster romance. Again, I don’t know what content is in it yet, I’ll add cws when I have them, but assume anything in my pinned or other previous posts may be in this. Proceed with caution.
The first few days with Ollie were a little awkward. Not in an uncomfortable way, but in that you didn’t know eachother anymore. It had been a decade since you had spent time together, and while he talked a little more than he used to, it was still few and far in between.
You couldn’t tell if he found it awkward though. He never mentioned it. He just followed you around. He seemed content to just exist nearby you.
The first two weeks breezed by in a flurry of family, kids, games, and way too much food. At the end of it, you waved them goodbye and excitedly hurried back to the little cabin. This would be the first time you’d had it all to yourself.
You pulled the door shut behind you and basked in the quiet for a moment. You could always hear other campers outside. Kids shrieking, vehicles moving, multiple different music sources all floating on top of eachother. And inside was a sort of haven from it all.
You made your way to the kitchen to grab a drink when you found a plate full of cookies, uncovered and still warm on the counter. You were surprised, you hadn’t noticed anyone baking before they’d left? Weird.
You inspected a cookie. Sniffed it, licked it. You didn’t immediately explode, so you shrugged your shoulders to yourself and took a bite. It was a very good cookie. You grabbed a couple more and threw them in a baggie. You gathered some other things, and changed into your bathing suit.
The beach was a short 5 or so minute walk from your cabin, and you munched away at your cookie the whole way. It was a bit overcast, so the beach wasn’t as crowded as it usually was.
You claimed a spot near another family, so that you felt comfortable leaving your stuff alone if you swam, and laid your towel out. You pulled your slinky bathing suit cover over your head and dropped it next to your things.
It was still a bit early in the day to go into the water so you opted for sunbathing with the hopes you’d get all warm and toasty then cool off in the water. Soon you were face down on a towel, your head on your arms, dozing away. You were interrupted by a prolonged blocking of sun rays.
You craned your head up and struggled to make out who it was looming over you with the suns rays blinding you from behind them. You glanced down at their feet next to you and recognized pale green skin.
“You liked the cookies?” Ollies deep voice asked. You were about to say yes, when you processed the implications of him being the one to hand deliver, into your kitchen, without asking, the surprise treat you’d found. You sat up and tugged his hand so he wasn’t standing in front of the sun anymore and you could actually see him.
“Uh, yeah they were good. But, that means you were in my cabin?” You asked incredulously.
“Oh, sorry, was that inappropriate?” He asked, genuine concern seeming to lace his tone. “Sorry, I sometimes…” he trailed off. He looked anxious again. You chose to let him work through what he wanted to say. Words were hard for him, and you wanted him to feel safe sharing them with you. Even if right now you were kind of peeved with him. “Sometimes I don’t understand what’s.. ok, or whatever.” He finished.
“Well, I appreciate your apology. No, going into someone else’s space without their consent, isn’t ok.” You softened. He wasn’t trying to cross a boundary. And he had apologized immediately. “How did you get in anyway?” You queried, already moving on from the emotions.
“I, uh, it was unlocked.” He stuttered out. Your eyebrows knit together. You could have sworn it was locked. But you shrugged past the confusion quickly. How else would he have gotten in?
“Weird. Well, anyway, I do like the cookies, they are delicious and very sweet of you.” You placed your hand on his lower calf where you could reach in a comforting way. “Just next time please knock.” You winked and giggled.
He nodded emphatically.
This one’s a bit shorter. TBH I don’t totally know where I’m taking this. Does anyone have an opinion? Do we want more fluff, or for it to get spicy? And how dark? Let me know if you want something specific! Thanks for reading! :)

╰┈➤ beach day with soft!rafe hc’s
warnings: a tad nsfw if you squint, fluff overload
: ̗̀➛ rafe was like an excited puppy when y/n finally told him what she wanted to do for her birthday this year.
: ̗̀➛ she wanted to spend the full day at the beach.
: ̗̀➛ why? he had no idea, but if that was all she wanted to do he was going to make sure it was the best day ever.
: ̗̀➛ he’d wake her up at first light, having planned out the whole day.
: ̗̀➛ “hey birthday girl, time to get up..”
: ̗̀➛ “baby, it’s three in the morning..”
: ̗̀➛ “yeah, we’re going to see the sunrise, come on..”
: ̗̀➛ and while she got up and got dressed, he’d pack the car.
: ̗̀➛ he’d make sure to bring everything they would need to spend the day at the beach.
: ̗̀➛ a cooler for snacks and drinks, a disposable barbecue, fire wood, blankets, towels, changes of clothes, one of his hoodies because he knew she preferred his.
: ̗̀➛ and lastly, a birthday cake, made specially for her.
: ̗̀➛ when he told her he’d planned every second of the day, he really meant it.
: ̗̀➛ once he’d finished packing, he headed upstairs to collect her.
: ̗̀➛ “c’mon angel, let me carry you to the car”
: ̗̀➛ he carried his sleepy princess to his range rover, making sure she was comfortable and buckled in safely.
: ̗̀➛ the half hour drive to the beach went by quickly as she dozed off in the passenger side.
: ̗̀➛ rafe chose a small beach on the island, one where they wouldn’t be bothered too much.
: ̗̀➛ putting his car in park, he peppered kisses over her face as she stirred awake.
: ̗̀➛ “birthday celebrations start now pretty girl, c’mon”
: ̗̀➛ he chuckled as she stumbled out of the car in a sleepy daze.
: ̗̀➛ early mornings were quite chilly in kildare, so she’d opted for a pair of his sweatpants and a hoodie over the top of her bikini.
: ̗̀➛ he held her hand graciously as she followed closely behind him, careful not to fall.
: ̗̀➛ she settled on top of a towel while rafe set everything up around them, leaving a few pieces in the car that they wouldn’t need until later.
: ̗̀➛ he’d even brought pillows, and while she adored his thoughtfulness, she dreaded having to get the sound out of them once they got home.
: ̗̀➛ finally situated, they cuddled on top of the towels and blankets, watching the stars as the waves crashed further down the beach.
: ̗̀➛ instead of watching the sunrise, he chose to watch her instead, his heart fluttering as the bright gleam reflected in her eyes.
: ̗̀➛ “what are you looking at?”
: ̗̀➛ “you”
: ̗̀➛ once the sun had claimed it’s spot in the sky, the heat began to settle over the outerbanks, resulting in y/n frantically removing her comfy clothes.
: ̗̀➛ “oh my god, too hot! too hot! m’gonna die”
: ̗̀➛ rafe eyed the pink bikini she’d chosen for the day, observing how it hugged and complimented her curves.
: ̗̀➛ “do you have a boner?”
: ̗̀➛ “angel, i always have a boner when im with you..”
: ̗̀➛ around eleven, the sun had reached its peak, provoking y/n to apply the sun cream rafe had brought.
: ̗̀➛ “here, let me do it princess”
: ̗̀➛ “rafe, im a big girl, i can do it myself”
: ̗̀➛ “shh, todays your special day, you’re not lifting a finger”
: ̗̀➛ y/n moaned slightly as rafe straddled her bum, massaging her back.
: ̗̀➛ “baby, if you don’t stop that im going to fuck you right here..”
: ̗̀➛ lots of beach sex.
: ̗̀➛ after a while of sunbathing and reading, the pair decided to go for a swim.
: ̗̀➛ y/n tied her hair back as she waded through the light waves, enjoying the warmth of the water.
: ̗̀➛ rafe dove in immediately, thrashing about like a child.
: ̗̀➛ y/n looked around, frantic, when rafe disappeared beneath the surface.
: ̗̀➛ shrieking as he suddenly pulled her under by her legs.
: ̗̀➛ “you’re an asshole, you know that right?”
: ̗̀➛ “yeah…but you love it”
: ̗̀➛ making out in the ocean was a must.
: ̗̀➛ “you know, there’s nobody here yet..” she whispered suggestively.
: ̗̀➛ rafe didn’t even need to respond, immediately pulling her bikini bottoms aside.
: ̗̀➛ they spent the whole day like that, in and out of the sea, sunbathing, reading, eating.
: ̗̀➛ by nightfall, they’d watch the sunset together, y/n inbetween rafe’s legs, resting against him.
: ̗̀➛ “i’ve had the best day, thank you rafe”
: ̗̀➛ “anything for you angel”

spending a day at the beach w oscar☹️
both of your towels are laid right next to each other, and you’ve opted to use oscar’s lap as a pillow to rest your head against whilst the two of you sunbathe a little. though you thought it might get a bit uncomfortable for him, your worries are quelled when you sit up a little and realise oscar has fallen asleep, eyelashes fanning the tops of his reddening cheeks and his chest rising and falling with even breaths. (if you woke him up by pouring some of your cold water over his chest, no one could really blame you)
he’s constantly asking you to put suncream onto his back, and reminding you to reapply some if you burn easily, too. not that you mind - the thought of admiring the contours of his muscles and the freckles that litter his back are quite the repayment for your trouble. it’s quite frankly adorable when he turns to speak to you and you’re greeted with the sight of oscar’s smiling face, unaware of the small streak of unblended suncream sitting across his nose bridge. you don’t even say anything, just move over to wipe it in with your thumb and give him a gentle smile, ‘there. now, what were you saying?’.
one of his many, many talents includes being able to persuade you to come into the ocean with him. no matter what, its impossible for you to deny his offer to go and mess about in the water for a bit. he’s definitely the kind of person to plunge himself straight into the water, knowing the cold sensation will be over quicker than it came, but if you aren’t like that then good luck. you’re slung over oscar’s shoulder as he strides into the sea with you, his arms shaking so much with laughter that you’re concerned he would drop you at any minute. satisfied with how far he’s waded in, oscar swiftly lowers you down into the water, grinning playfully at your reaction. as an apology, he bends down to kiss you, shooting you another wry smile. “see? not so bad, is it babe?”

Swimming Lessons | The Last of Us (2,241 words)
Man, I don't know, I'm just avoiding work at this point.
Ellie toed out of her flip-flops and kicked them aside, staring dubiously at the water lapping the sandy shore.  There were bits of downy white goose feathers here-and-there on the surface, a dead and floating wasp, little parsley snippets of algae from the lake floor.  Further out from the beach, where the water cleared the overhang of trees, the sun dappled and glinted off it beautifully, enticingly.  She never really looked at water like something she wanted any part of, but she conceded it could be pretty.
“Do we really have to do this today?”
Joel joined her, setting down a tote loaded with rolled beach towels, and storked on one leg to remove his sneakers.
"I ain't pushin' you on a raft for the rest of my life.  Frankly I can't believe how many rafts there were out there to begin with.  Seems like some kind of freak coincidence."
"What if I just started carrying an inflatable in my pack?"  She gasped in sudden inspiration, reeling on him. "FLOATIES."
Joel stopped, squinting an eye.
“What? What the hell are floaties?"
"You know. Those little blow-up arm bands?”  She formed the shape of something small and bulbous in both hands.  “I could get a pair in, like, fun animal shapes."
Unmoved, he switched to his bare foot and peeled off the other sneaker.
"Get in the damned water."
Joel still couldn’t understand why she’d been so resistant to this.  From the first warm, compelling day of early summer she’d been making excuses, one after another: the water was obviously too cold for safety; she’d just eaten, she’d get a cramp (she’d always just eaten, the kid could put a labrador to shame); she couldn’t find a bathing suit that didn’t make her uncomfortable.
It took awhile to thwart that last objection, but Maria helped him find her a nicely modest two-piece that looked more like a blousy jumper than a bathing suit.  She called it a tankini.  Joel steadfastly refused to use that word, but if it got her in the water Ellie could call it whatever the hell she wanted.
But no floaties. There was a line.
He’d opted to start her out on the small, sandy shore that typically served as a boat launch.  The shallows here were a little more gradual than elsewhere, and it afforded them a little bit of privacy from the otherwise crowded basking beach further down the lake’s edge.  Joel stood, hands-on-hips, as Ellie grimaced and made disgusted noises about the temperature and hygiene of the water, slowly wading in up to her shins.
When she didn’t hear any additional splashing she looked back at him.
“Are you coming in the water with me or not?”
“Course I am.”  He half-spread his arms, looking down at himself.  “Got my swim trunks on, don’t I?”
To be honest, until just then Ellie had mistook the knee-length trunks for denim. Her nose wrinkled.
“Why are you wearing a t-shirt?”
Joel advanced to the water, testing the temperature with one foot.  Alright, it was pretty fucking cold, but he’d be damned if he admitted as much in front of her.
“Why does that matter?  Nobody needs to see this old man’s scars.”
Ellie came back to the shore with a few deep, plunging steps, and grabbed his wrist.  With emphasis she pointed further down the lake, to the parti-colored clusters of sunbathers and swimmers on the basking beach.
“Do you see that crowd over there?  The one that’s been gathering and slowly getting bigger since we got here?  The one with a knot of forty- and fifty-something old women literally pointing a pair of binoculars at us?”
Joel looked.  Unhappily.
“...maybe.”
“They’re here for one thing, and that’s to finally see you with your stupid shirt off.  If you’re going to make me get in this nasty, ice-cold water, on a full stomach, with no floaties, you’re going to give those poor, thirsty old women a show.”
He throated out a resistant sound.
“Can't we just--"
"Quid pro quo, Clarice."  Ellie met his eyes firmly and made a stuttering teeth-sucking noise at him.  With a deep sigh Joel reached for the forward hem of his shirt, cross-arming it overhead in one smooth but clearly reluctant motion.
"...you're ruinin' that movie for me."  He tossed the shirt back to the bag of towels, palms self-consciously whispering together as he passed them over each other.  “Alright, git."
Ellie’s head turned on a swivel, snorting in amusement to behold the obvious commotion this was causing further down the beach.
"So thirsty," she smirked.
"In the water, Ellie."
She was more nervous than she expected, having long since compartmentalized the trauma of all previous attempts at navigating the water.  It was foremost in Joel’s mind, however, and he followed close behind her as she went, offering a brief touch to one shoulder to let her know how near he was, and where.
They plunged in, tread becoming heavier and more laborious the deeper they went.  The sun started to dapple through the overhead trees, tinting the water bullfrog green, spangling their skin with patchy warmth.
"Just up to your chest is fine,” Joel said gently.  “We're not going to be doing any deep dives today.  If you need to touch bottom, you'll be able to.  But you won't need to."
Ellie emerged into the sun, sliding her bare feet along the sandy bottom, feeling every pebble and pinching plant along the way.  She tried to turn to face him, but Joel arrested her in place, hooking his hands lightly under her arms from behind.
“Nope. You’re good where you are.”
“Okay…”
“Alright.  I’m gonna lift.  I want you to pick your feet up and let them float.”
“I’m not going to float.”
“You’ll float.  Never met anybody more full’ve hot air.”
“Har har har.”
Ellie swallowed, steeling with a breath before doing as she was told.  It felt wildly unnatural at first, but Joel’s grip supported her, the muscles of his arms tightening slightly to take her weight.  Her legs came up, knees and toes poking above the water, and sure enough -- though her head and shoulders stayed propped back against his chest -- she did indeed float.
She laughed nervously.
"Okay. This isn't horrible."
"Alright.  I'm gonna let you go a little bit."
"Wait--waitwaitwait, Joel--"
"Ellie. Relax.  As long as you got air in your lungs, the water's gonna hold you up.  You're a balloon."  He eased her shoulders down, one hand cupped supportively behind her head, holding it above the water.
"Like that.  Relax.  Let your arms spread out a bit.  You feel that?  The water holds you up."
Her breathing eased and evened a little.
"Okay."
"Not so bad?"
"Not so bad."
He put his other hand under her spine, gently, gently reclining her head back into the water.
"Relax your neck, you don’t have to hold that tension.  It's gonna get quiet."
Joel let her head ease into the water, waiting a moment before removing his hand.  He palmed down her neck until he supported only her shoulders, and even then with only a light touch.
Ellie floated like a magician's apprentice, the water lapping at her ears.  He said it would be quiet but instead she could hear the soft thunder of the water as her head rested in it, buoyant.  Her eyes closed, and Joel began to move her slowly, like a raft, sideways rather than deeper into the lake.  He took back his hand.
"The water wants to hold you up," he said.  Her eyes reopened, slipping sideways to him.  "You don't have to fight it."
"OK.  The water wants to hold me up.  Now what?"
His hand went back under her spine.  He nodded at her.
"Alright.  Put your legs down, find the bottom.  We're gonna try that the other way."
Ellie did as instructed, struggling just a little, though he maintained a steadying hand on her until she could stand upright.  She shook her head to either side to dislodge the water from her ears.
"Now."  Joel ducked down into the water, neck-deep, and wrapped both hands around her shins.  "Same as before, but in reverse.  This time I'm gonna lift your legs, but you're gonna tilt forward onto your stomach, like a wheelbarrow, until your top half floats.  Don't make that face, it'll be fine.”
“None of that sounds remotely fine.”
“You can do whatever you want with your arms to keep your balance, just keep your chin up and your face out of the water."
"You think??"
"Ally-oop."
There was definitely a bit more struggle that time, but Joel was as gentle with her as he could be, and Ellie kept her cool as best she could.  Despite serious doubts, and after a little trial and error, she floated… just as before.  Joel planed a forearm under her shins until her legs were up and she was nicely level on her belly.  Gently, he let her go.
"There you go."
"Is this swimming??"
"This is floating," He laughed.  "But that's halfway.  Alright, now comes the fun part.  Kick your feet just a little.  Little baby duck paddle feet."
Ellie sniggered nervously at the imagery, but followed nonetheless.  Slowly she eased forward, propelled through the water as it broke around her chest and shoulders, and Joel followed along at a comfortable pace.
"Holy shit,” she murmured.
"That's right.  Now close your fingers together like you're aiming to slap someone and--there you go.  Just like that."
"Holy shit."
"Keep your arms at the level of the water.  Push the water away with ‘em.  It's like paddling a boat, you gotta move both at the same time to get anywhere fast."
He stood and watched her for awhile, then startled and plunged effortfully after her as she paddled a little too far for comfort.  He caught her by the ankles, redirecting her like a wayward parade float.
"Hang on.  Don't go too deep just yet."
"Can't I go out toward the middle?"
"Eventually, but I don't think you're ready just yet.  The first time you can't feel the bottom under you, it's... alarming.  Keep parallel to the shore.  There you go."
Joel watched her a minute longer, eventually satisfied she was safe trying out her own techniques.
"Listen, don't do anything too exciting, I'm going for a quick swim.  Stay toward that side, you'll be fine."
Ellie called back, busy concentrating, "Okay."
It was an age since Joel could swim because he wanted to, unencumbered by shoes, boots, an entire pack of supplies, and because he had no other choice.  He launched himself in a slow breast stroke towards deeper water, the sun baking on his skin where it breeched the surface.  He swam just until he couldn’t feel the silted bottom anymore, only the gauzy fronds of algae, then tread water for a minute or two.  He pushed his hair back with both hands, a mass of slick, blackened pewter curls, and rubbed the rivulets of water from his eyes.  For just a little while he breathed, and floated, and enjoyed the moment.
Eventually Joel looked toward the basking shore and, to his bewilderment, found the crowd of women still there.  Still staring.  Now there was a second pair of binoculars.
He checked back on Ellie, alarmed to find her paddling determinedly toward a field of lily pads.  That was way more speed and enthusiasm than she was prepared for.  Or him.
"Ellie.  Ellie.  Nope--"
"I wanna see what's over there!"
"Not yet--damn it--"
He folded under the water with a broad-chested stroke, piloting through the miasma of the lake's inner world. Filmy green, darts of silver minnows and a particularly brave sunfish that caught the light and spun away like a sunstruck medallion.  He came up for air near enough to Ellie that he could loop an arm around her waist again, coraling her away from the lily pads.
Once they were in shallow enough water she got her feet under her and stood.
"Aw, come on."
"I don't know how deep it gets over there, not yet.  Besides which, those things don't just float around untethered, there's stuff underneath them you can get caught in."  He wiped both hands down his face to clear his eyes. "But you did good.  I think that's enough for your first lesson."
"I wanted to make it out to that big raft in the middle."
"You'll get there.  Next time you'll go a little further."  He waded up onto the shore, streaming water, and wrung out the hanging legs of his trunks before fishing for his t-shirt.  He shook it out and wormed back into it, giving Ellie a momentary, dismaying glimpse of the dimpled scar on his abdomen.  Evidence of her clumsy attempts to save him.
She wrung out her ponytail and climbed up onto the shore as well, casting around for her flip-flops.
"You wanna go over to the other beach?"
"I don't believe I do."
"But the thirst, Joel."  She clenched her fists and shook them for emphasis. "My God, the thirst!"
"Good idea.  This old man needs a beer."  He slipped barefoot into his beaten sneakers and started up the beach, the sand transitioning unevenly to grass.  Ellie hurried to catch up with him.
"Can I have one too?"
"Sure, why not. You did good today, you earned it."
"Holy fuck, seriously?"
"Yeah, I'm serious. Right after I get you those floaties."

Your bedroom was just a door away from Taehyun’s.
It wasn’t fancy, it wasn’t much, just the way you liked it.
Soon enough, it would be your design studio, too.
Rolling up the sleeves of your button up, you grabbed onto the navy blue paint bucket and brush, handing Taehyun one, as well. “Like old times?”
Perhaps the young prince didn’t hear you correctly, because he came up with a question of his own. “… Is this what you really want?”
“Yeah, why wouldn’t it be?”
“Hmph.” Taehyun pressed his lips into a thin line before nodding you off not unkindly, muttering under his breath, “Like old times.”
Three to four months into the job and your days seem to have gotten more hectic than the last, in the best ways.
Returning to the palace after restocking on lilac silks, you are greeted by ex-Commander Knight Bangchan right at the get go.
“Good afternoon old man, you don’t look a day past thirty!” You plopped the woven basket of silk stashes onto his big bulky man arms, “Where’s Taehyun?”
“Mate, I told the prince you’re gone for the afternoon, shopping your little fabrics and knick-knacks, yeah? I don’t know where the young lad is off to but he’s growing and he’s probably got a geography exam to study for in the great library down the—”
“BESTIEEEEE!” Prince Kang Taehyun bolted from inside the garden with two cups of peach teas in hand.
“TERRY!!!” You jetted down the garden to your childhood best friend.
Ex-Commander Knight Bangchan just stared at you lot with furrowed brows and scrunched his nose. “Terry? Never heard of that one before.”
The moment you air hugged Taehyun (because he did have glass cups in hand and didn’t want to spill it all over his best friend’s fashion statement of an outfit, duh), the both of you took a walk down the garden like a pair of besties do. Like old times.
“Y/n, girlie, I went down to the kitchen to look for fermented garlic, right?”
“Yeah—Wait why were you looking for fermented garlic?”
“Beomgyu needed it for his potions but he can’t stop eating them on his way back to his laboratory.”
You pray for Beomgyu’s digestive track.
The wizard himself sat under a white beach umbrella on antique chairs and a glass table, a new installment you requested for the palace gardens, initially to be used as a cozy working space for when you want to get that hit of vitamin D while stitching up a gown or two but then Taehyun used it and you didn’t say no because sharing is caring but then his parents started using it for sunbathing and then Beomgyu has his lunch there and now everyone uses it as a free-for-all public seat so you kinda just. Yeah.
You didn’t know how to feel about the way Beomgyu was getting breadcrumbs all over the glass table.
He just smiled back at you, offering you some of his sandwich which you politely declined, like his couple other offers at psychic readings you certainly did not need in this time of your life, or like, ever.
Life is going pretty well, better than you had imagined it.
A shuffle sounded a ways away, the clicking of horse hooves.
It had to be Huening Kai.
You whirled around.
The Commander Knight, young and fresh and happy and healthy, strode over brambles of blackberry bushes and landed right in front of you.
His horse sneezed all over Beomgyu’s hair.
Beomgyu swiped a good snotty chunk of it, feeling the grime in between his palms. “This is just what I need for my 2-in-1 hair strengthening and sleep resistant anti-melatonin potion.” He smiled at the horse, petting its mane. “Thank you, Hazelnut.”
The horse licked a stripe up Beomgyu’s face and ate his sandwich.
“Taking the Royal Seamstress out for a ride?” Taehyun inquired, swiftly handing over Beomgyu a napkin he forgot he carried around all day and hoped was clean.
Huening Kai’s face flattened just a little. “Taehyun, I was supposed to ask her that.”
“What?”
Huening Kai’s cheeks flushed as he turned back to you. “Nothing. I mean— everything. Uh.” He feigned a cough, turning back to your direction which wasn't particularly easy given that you were so keenly watching him with intent. “Care to join me as I take Hazelnut out on a walk?” He looked away for a moment, lips pressed together, fingers tightening around the base of the saddle. “It helps keep Hazelnut’s mind off the fact that she has to be isolated from the other horses for two weeks because of her rapid cold.”
“Hazelnut is sick? This is snot from a flu?” Beomgyu wiped the snot off his fuzzy hair. “NOT perfect for my 2-in-1 hair strengthening and sleep resistant anti-melatonin potion.”
Taehyun did not want that napkin back.
“It isn’t contagious, don’t worry.” Huening Kai reassured you. “At least when Hazelnut has it, it isn’t...” He gulped.
“So it’s just a horse to horse thing then?” You asked, just the make sure. “Not at all contagious to humans like you and I?”
Huening Kai loved the way you made conversations with him less awkward than it should be. “Yes. Yeah, exactly.”
“Hmm, well then I’d love to ride Hazelnut with you, actually. Right after I change out of this skirt.” You skittered into the palace, waving at the trio, “See you guys!”
Beomgyu waved you off with his whole arm with the same level of enthusiasm, if not more. “See ya later!!!”
Huening Kai waved a formal wave, wrist twisting, not aware of the fact Hazelnut is licking the crumb-covered glass table clean (Thank you, Hazelnut).
Taehyun watched as you walked away, hesitant, thinking over why you don’t quite smell like cookies anymore.

“You must be losing on purpose.”
Emi tossed her playing cards on the small table between the lounge chairs after realizing that she had won another round against Bokuto, her surprised laugh carrying boisterous glee. It wasn’t a game either of them were much familiar with but Bokuto, who folded his arms over his head in stunned exasperation, had yet to get the hang of it and didn’t seem to get lucky even once.
You opened an eye at the noise and Miyu turned her head, huffing, a mean comment already on the tip of her tongue but she refrained from letting it slip. They couldn’t have known that the shallow waves had slowly lulled her to sleep as she relaxed on the watermelon inflatable, sunbathing contentedly whilst lying on her stomach. The float was easily big enough for the three of you but while Miyu shared the space with you, Emi had opted to play cards with Bokuto and Akaashi in the shade.
It was an unusual privilege to use the secluded pool area on the rooftop of the apartment complex but the tranquility of it was welcomed after the incident at the beach the day before. None of you complained and even Kenma, being able to charge his gaming console at one of the sockets he’d moved his lounge chair closer to, seemed content enough despite being exposed to the summer heat.
You did miss the savory smell of all kinds of different dishes that caused your mouth to water whenever you would pass the food stalls at the beach, and your empty stomach and the slowly setting sun were beginning to remind you that you had spent your last day simply lazing around at the pool. Still, you were on your vacation so there was nothing wrong with doing just that.
“This is so nice,” you sighed and closed your eyes again, the faraway cries of cicadas sounding as you moved your fingers beneath the water surface, slightly tapping one foot against your calf to the music Kuroo had put on hours ago. “I really don’t feel like going back already.”
“Tell me about it,” Miyu said, running a hand through her still damp locks, “we get back and have preparation classes right away.”
You almost groaned at the thought. You really couldn’t catch a break as third years, could you? The universities’ entrance exams weren’t until February and most didn’t even accept applications yet, but the exams were just so difficult that you had to prepare for them months in advance. Your friends would go to different schools for their classes as well, meaning you wouldn’t get to see them as much during your break either.
“We’re gonna be so busy.” Miyu propped her chin on her arms she had crossed in front of her and the low-spirited tone in her voice suggested that she must’ve been thinking the same thing. The guilt of not having spent more time with your friends in your second year was creeping up again and to comfort both her and yourself a little, you leaned your head on her shoulder in sympathy. She nudged you in return, a bittersweet smile on her lips, when the float suddenly started to shake, startling the both of you.
Grabbing the rope attached to the float, Kuroo pulled at it firmly to keep himself afloat after having finished swimming another lap. You’d barely explored the pool enough to realize that there were areas simply too deep to stand on, intended for people preferring to dive in from one end.
“You’re gonna relax there all day—is the float that comfortable?” Kuroo glanced up at you with a crooked smile as you looked over your shoulder. He’d pushed his slick hair out of his face again, glistening chest rising and falling in a labored manner and you averted your eyes to instead stretch your limbs, ignoring the warmth spreading in your face as you said, “it is!”
“Wanna get on too?” He raised an eyebrow at Miyu’s question and pulled at the rope to turn the float and see whether he could even fit with the two of you claiming most of the space. Instinctively you shuffled closer to your friend, quietly inviting him to join you and that was when his expression softened a little.
“Alright then.” Taking a firmer hold of the rope as his other hand almost slid off the smooth surface, he heaved himself up and both you and Miyu had to steady yourselves from toppling over to the side that dipped under the surface. You cringed slightly at the cool water suddenly reaching your navel, stinging a little after lying in the warmth of the sun for so long. Kuroo settled down next to you and crossed his arms in a similar manner as Miyu had done before to rest his forehead against them.
“Tired?” You asked, the deep exhale he’d released amusing you. He needed a break from swimming, that much was obvious, but the float’s surface dipped under his weight, causing you to tip towards him. The question was your attempt to distract yourself from getting too worked up over almost touching his skin and you tried your best not to get too close by leaning your upper body against your friend. Who eyed you with a crooked eyebrow and didn’t budge to move, by the way.
“Nah,” he said, even though you could tell he was visibly relaxing now that he didn’t have to move his body to stay afloat anymore. He’d been swimming for a while, making up for not going running in the mornings the last few days you’d stayed here. But who could really blame him? Wanting to sleep in on your vacation was only natural.
Kuroo turned his head to face you, black hair sticking to his forehead, gentle smile still present on his lips, eyebrows slightly furrowed in a teasing kind of way. Words weren’t necessary in this moment, you could tell that he felt as content as the rest of you, relaxed and happy. It was a sight you couldn’t get used to, couldn’t keep your gaze on for too long, your heart fluttering and stomach squeezing. Returning a smile after feeling this way was easy and you let your guard down just enough to have your arm graze his shoulder now. Tenderly, skin warm from lying in the sun all day against skin that felt cold to the touch because of the cool water it had been exposed to.
It was comforting in a way. Knowing that the two of you had gotten close enough to be touching like this, although your heart and mind were running a marathon. But there was no desire to withdraw, move away in case it made him uncomfortable because he also stayed put, resting his shoulder against you. Not withdrawing either, not saying anything. You wondered if this meant he was as comfortable with you as you were with him, reminded you of how you’d woken up that morning on the patio, the blanket draped over both of your bodies. He’d told you not to worry about it and to get inside to warm up, didn’t want you to catch a cold for sleeping outside.
He was caring. Despite the dumb jokes he’d crack that only made you shake your head but still grin like a fool, he always seemed to make sure you were doing alright. You’d gotten to know him better in the last few weeks and you were surprised that besides the competitive attitude he showed in class he was such a fun guy to be around with. Who cared about his friends, even if he teased them. You realized that he did that to push them beyond their limits, to overcome their mental obstacles keeping them from truly developing their potential, be it in social settings or academic—you figured it was a trait he’d learned from being in a sports club. And sometimes he was just fooling around, without much purpose, just a teenager making fun of his friends as an act of endearment.
With you Kuroo did all that too but held himself back if you compared it to how he treated his friends, was gentler with you as though afraid to scare you away. You stole a glance at him, watching the way his shoulders rose with each breath. How could you tell him not to hold back? You didn’t mind a heavy pat on the back or the way he’d grab Bokuto’s arm to keep him from running ahead. Didn’t mind treating you as though you were a close friend. Though he did grasp you by your shoulders last night, fingers warm and firm, to switch places on the sidewalk. You hadn’t thought much of it, thinking he preferred walking closer to the street to have some sort of control over what happened when a car passed by too closely, but you figured that he might be starting to become more familiar with you after all. So being next to him like this was comforting.
“So, what’s the plan for today?” He asked, seemingly not bothered at all by the fact that you were so close, that you were touching. But he simply lifted a finger to point at your friends in the shade where Bokuto jumped up from his seat to throw his cards on the table in triumph. “Akashi mentioned there’s a festival.”
“Oh, right!” Miyu’s hand flew against her forehead, smacking herself as she remembered talking about it with Emi the evening before. “We didn’t bring our yukata but we could still go to the festival tonight, right?” She addressed you with a less than gentle nudge, pushing you further to the side that you had to push back in return. It didn’t seem to deter her in the slightest that you sent her a look of panic. The sly smile on her face let on that much.
“Sure,” you said, forcing the words out between teeth as you tried to fight her. “I actually did bring mine, by the way.” You weren’t all that successful as Miyu was simply much stronger and much more determined than you to push you against the boy on your other side, that you could hardly avoid your shoulder touching his more firmly now. But Kuroo didn’t mind, on the contrary, he watched the two of you wrestle, a grin parting his lips as he reached for the water.
“Oi, you don’t get to bully her all by yourself, Yoshino-chan,” he said, voice low in a playful warning, surprising you. He’d switched to more casual honorifics a day into your trip, making it seem like you’d all gotten much closer already and that’s what caused Miyu to grin as well. And you didn’t like the look they shared, a suspicion already rising within you that had you inch back slowly. Before you could move any further, Kuroo flicked water your way and followed after you as you got up in panicked haste, trying to escape until slender fingertips brushed your sides, sending you reeling to the side with a shriek.
“Wait—no!”
Miyu’s hands flew across your exposed skin, tickling you in all the sensitive places that had you burst out laughing and crying simultaneously. Abdomen cramping, you started to fight her off, move away from her but Kuroo blocked you from behind, your back crashing into his chest as he grabbed your arms to hold you still. The hold on you exposed your stomach to your friend and you gasped loudly when Miyu continued to tickle you relentlessly, sending another fit of laughter through your body that it started to hurt.
It was enough noise for the others to look up and see what was happening and none of them were really surprised to see you be the victim of a very unfair two-on-one tickle attack. When Akaashi exposed Bokuto of being just as ticklish after the spiker had made fun of you, Emi reached out a hand to confirm it for herself.
“Whoa, hold on a sec!” Ironically, it didn’t save him from an attack just as brutal. Though he’d probably have an easier time backing away from Emi, if he wasn’t even more sensitive to tickles than you…
Kenma peered past his console just as you kicked your legs to get Miyu off of you, flailing out of Kuroo’s grasp and rolling dangerously close to one side of the inflatable. He was sure that you were going to drop into the pool, but his friend caught you, clutched your arm with a hand and hauled you back so quickly he nearly toppled over you. The silence that followed was merely interrupted by Bokuto’s loud protests, attempting to escape from a gloating Emi, and Akaashi’s dry remark that he’d had it coming.
Miyu placed a hand on her mouth to stifle a gasp, the sight of Kuroo bending over you surprising her. It was an accident, both of his forearms resting on either side of your head prevented him from crushing you beneath him after he’d caught you, but it did take him a moment too long to move away from you.
You stared up at him, frozen in shock. He just saved you from falling into the water, from suddenly diving into the cold, an outcome you’d been willing to accept if it meant to escape the tickling. Quite uncertain whether you should thank him you simply lay there, catching you breath.
He was close, wet bangs falling into his face and a few droplets beginning to trickle down your cheeks. But he was unable to move just yet, looking just as stunned as you since he hadn’t planned to land on you like this. Your breathing was fast and uneven, your pounding heart possibly responsible for the heat in your face and you didn’t dare move an inch, either. This position felt strangely intimate. It was an accident.
There was a slight redness across his nose and cheeks as his eyes took you in. Your hair messily spread out, chest heaving as you tried to calm yourself down, doe-eyed gaze on him as if expectant. What really caught his eye was the flustered expression on your face, an expression anyone would have after having been tickled without mercy. On the cusp of crying and out of breath, but the fact that it was you with that expression excited him, urged him on to tease you further and see how shy you would get, how you would react if he—a movement in his peripheral vision had him shake out of it and he straightened himself with an uneasy chuckle.
“You really scared me there,” Kuroo said, your name following after in a way that almost sounded too familiar, as though he hadn’t meant to call you by your family name like he always did, but your first name. He knocked your forehead with his knuckles gently which was enough to draw a soft laugh from you and clear your mind from the haze that had been so difficult to escape from. There was just enough sense left in you to take the hand he offered to help you up.
“Huh, didn’t expect Bokuto to be the ticklish type.” Said friend was holding the lounge chair’s backrest up to use it as a barrier between him and Emi, who stalked up on him slowly, hands raised as if ready to go for another round. Kuroo ran a hand through his hair, an amused smile playing on his lips when even the barrier wasn’t enough to block her attack from the side, causing Bokuto to jump and shriek.
“I think it makes total sense,” you said with a soft chuckle. Breathing was a little easier now as you watched your friend chase Bokuto around the pool. You raised a hand to touch the spot your heart was rapidly pounding against when you caught Miyu’s eye. She was still covering her mouth but the crinkles around her eyes suggested that she was smiling, big time. Purposely hiding it from you because one look at her had your face heat up in an instant and lower your gaze. Reminding you that what just happened didn’t seem strange only to you.
But all that was pushed into the back of your minds when Kuroo called out to Kenma, who flinched at the sudden perception, already turning his back on him because he had an inkling of what his friend wanted from him. Kuroo mentioned it the first time you had gone to the beach that swimming was a good way of building up stamina and he just couldn’t let his best friend laze around the entire time, could he?
He leaped back into the pool, the force of his jump pushing back the inflatable and you held onto your friend for support as cold water splashed against your skin, startling both Miyu and you. This time she couldn’t hold back the words and scolded him for not being careful which he acknowledged with a flat palm close to his face, apologizing halfheartedly. You laughed and patted her back and Emi was still chasing Bokuto around the lounge chair Akaashi was sitting on.

How to Style Your Michigan Summer T-Shirts with the Perfect Beach Bikini
Tumblr media
When summer rolls around in Michigan, the call of the beach becomes irresistible. Whether you’re heading to the sandy shores of Lake Michigan or lounging by the Great Lakes, there’s one style combination that never fails: pairing your favorite summer t-shirts with a stylish beach bikini.
This look is effortless, comfortable, and incredibly versatile, allowing you to transition seamlessly from sunbathing to grabbing a bite at a nearby café. But how do you nail this summer staple without looking like you just rolled out of bed?
Here’s your ultimate guide to styling your Michigan summer t-shirts with the perfect beach bikini.
Choosing the Right T-Shirt: Fabric Matters
The first step to achieving the perfect beach look is selecting the right t-shirt. Not all t-shirts are created equal, especially when it comes to a day spent under the sun. In Michigan's often humid summers, the fabric you choose can make or break your comfort.
Cotton t-shirts are always a solid choice due to their breathability and softness. Organic cotton, in particular, is an excellent option as it's both eco-friendly and gentle on the skin.
However, if you’re planning to get a bit more active—perhaps some beach volleyball or a jog along the shore—a t-shirt with a bit of spandex or polyester might offer the flexibility and moisture-wicking properties you need. Look for lightweight fabrics that dry quickly and keep you cool.
The Perfect Fit: Loose, Fitted, or Somewhere In Between?
Once you’ve got the fabric down, it’s time to think about the fit of your t-shirt. This is crucial because the fit determines not just how you look, but how you feel throughout the day.
A loose, oversized t-shirt offers a laid-back, carefree vibe. It’s perfect for throwing over your bikini when you’re not quite ready to hit the water or when you want to protect your skin from the sun. For a more tailored look, opt for a fitted t-shirt.
This style hugs your curves and can accentuate your bikini underneath, especially if you choose a t-shirt with a deep neckline or cropped length. However, the sweet spot often lies somewhere in between—semi-fitted t-shirts that skim the body without being too tight or too loose offer the best of both worlds.
Color Coordination: Match or Contrast?
Color coordination is where you can really let your personality shine. There are two main routes you can take: matching your t-shirt to your bikini or creating a contrast.
Matching colors, such as a blue t-shirt with a blue bikini, offer a cohesive and polished look. This approach works particularly well with pastel or monochromatic color schemes. On the other hand, contrasting colors can make your outfit pop.
For instance, a bright yellow t-shirt paired with a teal bikini can create a vibrant, eye-catching ensemble that’s perfect for a lively beach day. If you’re feeling bold, you can even experiment with color-blocking—choosing a t-shirt and bikini in completely different shades that still complement each other.
Patterns and Prints: Playful or Classic?
Michigan summers are all about fun and relaxation, so why not bring that energy into your outfit? Patterns and prints are a fantastic way to add some flair to your beach look.
A classic striped t-shirt can give off nautical vibes, especially when paired with a solid-colored bikini. If you’re in the mood for something more playful, consider t-shirts with tropical prints, florals, or even quirky graphic designs.
Don’t be afraid to mix and match prints as well—just keep in mind the scale of the patterns. Pairing a small polka dot bikini with a large floral t-shirt can create an interesting and balanced contrast.
Accessorizing Your Look: Hats, Sunglasses, and More
No beach outfit is complete without the right accessories. These not only enhance your style but also offer practical benefits, like sun protection.
A wide-brimmed hat is a beach essential. It shields your face from the sun and adds a touch of glamor to your outfit. For a more laid-back look, a classic baseball cap can do the trick.
Sunglasses are another must-have, and the options are endless—from oversized frames to retro aviators. Choose a pair that complements the shape of your face and ties in with your overall look.
Jewelry can also play a role in your beach ensemble. Think minimalist: a simple necklace or a few stacked bracelets can add just the right amount of sparkle without being too overwhelming.
And let’s not forget about beach bags—opt for a stylish tote that’s large enough to carry your essentials while still looking chic.
Layering for the Evening: From Beach to Bonfire
As the sun sets and the cool Michigan breeze starts to roll in, you might want to add a few layers to your beach outfit. This is where your t-shirt can transition from day to night with just a few adjustments.
A lightweight cardigan or kimono can be the perfect cover-up for those chillier evenings. Choose one in a neutral color that complements your t-shirt and bikini, and you’ll be ready to go from beach to bonfire in no time.
For a more structured look, a denim jacket or a cropped hoodie can add an extra layer of warmth while still maintaining a casual vibe.
If you’re planning to head out to a beachside restaurant or a casual outdoor party, consider tying your t-shirt into a knot at the waist for a more fitted look.
Pair this with a maxi skirt or a pair of high-waisted shorts, and you’ll have an effortlessly chic outfit that’s perfect for any summer evening in Michigan.
Footwear: From Sand to Shoreline Strolls
The right footwear can make all the difference in your beach outfit. Flip-flops are a beach staple, but if you’re looking for something with a bit more style, consider a pair of espadrilles or slide sandals.
These options are just as easy to slip on and off, but they add a touch of sophistication to your look.
For those who plan to take long walks along the shoreline, a pair of comfortable, supportive sandals is a must. Look for styles with adjustable straps and cushioned soles to keep your feet happy all day long.
And don’t forget about beach-to-bar transitions—a pair of cute, strappy sandals can easily take you from the sand to a casual dinner without missing a beat.
Beach Hairstyles to Complement Your Outfit
Your hairstyle can play a significant role in tying your entire look together. The key is to keep it simple and fuss-free, as beach days are all about embracing a relaxed, natural vibe.
Beach waves are a classic choice and can be easily achieved with a bit of sea salt spray. Simply spritz your hair, scrunch it up, and let it air dry for that effortlessly tousled look.
If you prefer to keep your hair out of your face, a loose braid or a messy bun can be both stylish and practical. Add a fun hair accessory, like a headband or a scarf, to complete the look.
For those with shorter hair, a sleek, slicked-back style can create a chic, polished appearance that contrasts nicely with the laid-back nature of a t-shirt and bikini combo.
Whatever your hair length or texture, the goal is to embrace the natural elements and let your hair do its thing.
Conclusion: Embrace Your Personal Style
Styling your Michigan summer t-shirts with the perfect beach bikini is an effortless way to blend comfort and fashion for those sun-soaked days by the Great Lakes.
The key lies in selecting the right fabric, fit, and color coordination to match your vibe, whether you're aiming for a laid-back or more polished look.
Pairing your t-shirt with a complementary or contrasting bikini, and finishing with accessories like a wide-brimmed hat or sunglasses, will elevate your beach-ready style. Don't forget about layering options for those cooler Michigan evenings—think lightweight cardigans or denim jackets that add both warmth and flair.
Whether you're lounging on the sand or strolling along the shoreline, this versatile combination offers endless possibilities to express your personal style.
And for those looking to recreate these looks, shopping for Michigan Bikini T-Shirts Online offers a wide range of options that cater to every taste. Embrace the summer spirit and let your t-shirt and bikini duo make a splash this season!

Have you every written about trip where Benedict and Sophie relationship was revealed. Like how was it going before those photos? And how did both Sophie and Benedict react? Plus how long did it take Sophie to meet the Royal Family and did that go?
To commemorate their one year anniversary Benedict had decided to whisk Sophie away to a private Bahamian island where it would just be the two of them.
The two week long holiday had been nothing but perfect bliss and Benedict wished this was all that his life consisted of; sun and sea, sunsets, and Sophie.
Before, he had never understood the romantic affinity for walks on the beach until he went on them every single day with Sophie; hand in hand or his arm slung around her, the feeling of sand between their toes, the sun basking down on them, paddling through the water when they needed a slight cool-down, and picking up and collecting uniquely coloured and shaped pebbles and shells.
The villa they were residing in came with a jacuzzi, something which Sophie had been excited by as she had never used one before, and Benedict ensured it wasn't a experience she would forget in a hurry when he pulled her into his lap. Their holiday home also came with a private pool, one which they took the opportunity to skinny-dip in one night, kissing each other languidly as the moonlight bathed down on them.
Most days were spent lazing around on the beach that their villa led down to, sunbathing and larking about in the sea when they got too hot and cuddling in a hammock as the sun turned in for the day. Benedict had never been more drunk in love and wished he could live in this paradise with Sophie for the rest of his life.
When their plane landed back home they were immediately escorted into a waiting car and it was when he saw Mrs Crabtree's pained expression that he realised something was wrong, and when she handed them the newspapers that had gone to press that morning the bubble he had shared with Sophie finally burst; their relationship was now public, the pictures of them frolicking on the beach undeniable proof that they were very much a couple.
He remembered the day so very vividly that the photos were illustrating. Sophie had been wearing a purple polka dot bikini and looking just as irresistible as she always had to him as she sunbathed while he relaxed in the neighbouring sun lounger in the shade as he sketched the horizon. After a couple of hours Sophie had groaned about how overheated she was and had unsteadily gotten to her feet to go for a dip when Benedict had decided to help her out and playfully scooped her up into his arms before dashing towards the sea, splashing in as Sophie shrieked with laughter and then sighed with relief from the ocean cooling her body temperature down. She kissed him in appreciation and they continued trading kisses until they waded back to shore. But before Sophie could make her way back to the loungers, he had grabbed a hold of her around the waist, spinning her around and kissing her neck, then taking her by surprise as he scooped her up again and running back into the ocean with her. She had laughed with wild abandon and then wiggled out of his hold before playfully picking him up with ease from the buoyancy of being in the water. He had kissed her then dared her to see how far she could carry him back to the shore before he became too heavy for her, a challenge which she accepted without hesitation. He had been impressed with how far she had managed to carry him back before his weight gave way and she stumbled and he ended up landing on his back with her on top of him as the waves washed over them on the shoreline. They had laughed in abundance before Sophie had leaned down and kissed him and he kissed back, a part of his brain registering they were reenacting some sort of old Hollywood kiss and gladly indulged in the romanticism of it all. Eventually they had gotten up and returned to the loungers though Sophie opted to cuddle him on his one in the shade, her fingers lazily drawing patterns against his arm and chest, lazily sharing kisses, as one hand cupped her bottom while the other brushed through her wet locks.
It had been just another blissful day in paradise - but little had they known that their every move was being documented, and now it was out there for all the world to see.
Benedict demanded to know if there was any more, if their entire break had been photographed, dreading to think if any special long-lens camera could have captured their jacuzzi and swimming pool activities. Mrs Crabtree was positive that the only pictures that had been captured of them were from this one singular day, much to his eternal relief, but there was still so many photos to contend with being out there in the public eye.
When he turned to Sophie he saw how white she had turned, how she stared off with a faraway yet troubled gaze as she processed that her life would no longer private, not now that she was on every front cover in the country in nothing but a bikini being kissed and groped by a prince. He grabbed a hold of her hand and turned her face to him, caressing her cheek as he assured her they would get through this, that the inevitability of their relationship being made public had now happened but that they would weather the storm together. He swore he would do everything to protect her, with Mrs Crabtree giving Sophie her solemn word as well. Sophie silently nodded in acknowledgement and then he pulled her into his arms in a long heartfelt embrace. She clutched a tight hold of him and he professed his love for her again and again and again, and she breathed out her love for him in return, sharing a quick kiss before they parted ways.
And though the media bombarded Sophie and came very close to scaring her off and away from him, once Benedict's warning was issued to the associated press and she had moved in, their love for each other was stronger than ever before. His family had politely managed to restrain themselves for several weeks until his mother finally asked Benedict if he could introduce Sophie to them all at the next family dinner. Knowing she had put it off long enough, Sophie agreed when Benedict ran his mother's request past her, though she was filled with nerves building up to the meal.
When she had stepped foot into Aubrey Palace for the very first time Benedict squeezed her hand and kissed her, once again reassuring her that his family would adore her just like he did, and though she had still gripped a tight hold of his hand as they were escorted to the drawing room to meet his family, a few minutes into the meeting she had let go of him as she let herself be dragged over to a sofa to be talked at eagerly by Kate and his sisters. By the end of the night as they returned to their apartment Sophie was positively buzzing with joy, a radiant smile on her face as she expressed how welcomed his family had made her and how many plans had already been made with the queen and the princesses, much to Benedict's ever-growing delight as he cuddled her into him, elated to see the love of his life as happy as she always made him feel.

Where can your Tav be recruited?  Are they first encountered on the Nautiloid, or in the Nautiloid crash region?  Or are they not recruitable until a later act?
Mercy can be first encountered on the nautiloid, trapped in a pod that’s partially shattered. The console to open the pod is damaged beyond recognition. Its glass-like surface has a jagged, two-foot diameter hole in it. She can be freed with a successful STRENGTH check to widen the hole, allowing her to safely slip through, or with a successful INTELLIGENCE check to find spongy, flesh-like material in the nautiloid to coat the sharp opening with. Once successfully freed, she will offer her services in escaping the nautiloid.
If both of these checks fail, Mercy will opt to free herself by any means necessary, diving head-first through the crack and taking heavy damage from the jagged edges while doing so. The protagonist can give her a healing potion — in which case she will join them to fight Commander Zhalk — or leave her there.
Later, she can be found on the crash site’s beach, just in front of the Overgrown Ruins waypoint (outside of the locked door leading to Withers’ temple). If she was successfully freed or healed, she will be sunbathing. She seems delighted to see her rescuer and offers her services free of charge.
If she was ignored or left injured outside of her pod, she will be unconscious but critically injured. The protagonist can choose to heal her — in which she will join them after a successful CHARISMA check to convince her their odds of survival are better together — or leave her to bleed out.
What do they say if the PC tries to force them to go up on stage with Dribbles the Clown?
Canonically, Mercy has been cheese-wheeled by Akabi at this point because she gets into a shouting match with him about allegedly cheating within 5 minutes of visiting the fair.
If Mercy has been cheese-wheeled, she will roll over the protagonist’s foot several times. The protagonist, taking this as consent, must help her roll her way up the stairs to Dribbles, in which she immediately launches herself at his knees with unparalleled viciousness. Otherwise, she bonks helplessly against the lowest stair until Dribbles gets fed up, drops the disguise, and attacks.
If Mercy has not been cheesed, the dialogue goes something like this, in true 30 Rock fashion.
Mercy: Fine. I’ll do it. Mercy: But only for the attention. ;)
What questions can Zethino ask the PC about Tav in the Love Test?
Mercy absolutely thinks this is a whole-ass scam because she and the protagonist have to pay good, honest money for this shit. Her participation is a testament to how truly she cares for the protagonist if they ask her to do this and she agrees. Bonus if she’s still a wheel of fucking cheese. (Also, similar to Astarion, she approves of sarcastic answers and disapproves of spot-on answers, save for the last question. Do not perceive her.)
Zethino: Ah, Mercy. An interesting choice of moniker for such a colorful life. Mercy: Okay. Rude. Zethino: Consider. In which of her illusions does Mercy find the most comfort? Zethino: Feel the bond that thrums through the two of you. Look past the disguises. What keeps the star-painted half-elf awake at night? Zethino: The sweetest loves dance lightly on the tongue. But now we must dig deeper. Into the most painful reaches of the spirit. Mercy: (under her breath) Aw, fuck. Zethino: If you could tell your beloved one thing, knowing that this may be the only thing she will well and truly believe, what would it be?
The answers are, respectively — (i am taken out back and shot)

OPEN TO: ANY location: beach area
Being back at the Haus felt like a return to home, to the place Sebastian knew he truly belonged and he'd possibly be stuck in until the day he died or grew too old and unattractive to do his job anymore. And yet it was all very different. The dancer could not even remember the last time he'd set foot on a tropical island like this; he'd barely even ever left the state of Virginia during the past fifteen years, save for some random adventures with generous clients. It was an unfamiliar scenery, but one Sebastian was going to get used to quickly, he was sure.
He wasn't shy to make good use of the weather and the beautiful location, hitting the pools and the beach area up right away. Ever one to indulge in his exhibitionistic tendencies, Seb had opted for just a small speedo - for now. The plan was to quickly find a spot to sunbathe, and he wasn't going to risk tan lines, so he certainly intended to go nude. "Excuse me, are you using this?" Approaching one of the outdoor showers right next to the beach, he looked at the man standing nearby before stepping closer and turning it on, letting the fresh water cool his skin for a moment - it was surely going to dry again quickly from the warm sunlight. "There you go. Are you headed for the beach as well?" Raising a brow, he looked the other over with a slight smirk.

Day 14 - Brno (Czechia)
Traumatized by the price of coffee, I can't believe it when I find a place that has 1 euro coffee XD it's not... good, but at least I didn't pay 2,5 euro for it XD
The heat keeps rising and it's getting to that uncomfortably hot I cannot really visit a city like this. Luckily many of the old town streets are shaded and there's still some breeze.
Tumblr media
I walk around some parts of the old town I didn't see yesterday, and wow is this place beautiful. I'm happy I'm staying here for three nights.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have a pork and sauerkraut roll (? involtino XD) for lunch, with potatoes and cucumber salad. I try the non flavoured birell but it's not really my thing (the pomelo and grapefruit one was much better). I guess I'm not really in the mood for beer lately, I think I'll stick with the sweeter radlers (a few years ago this sentence would have horrified me XD).
Tumblr media
Since it's getting hotter, I decide to go checkout the Brno reservoir, an artificial lake on the outskirts of the city area. There's a tram that goes there (well, multiple trams) and as in Ostrava the tram has stairs INSIDE: the doors area is level with the road, but once inside there are elevated areas. It's an interesting solution for accessibility, I think mostly for repurposing earlier tram models (but I might be wrong).
Tumblr media
The reservoir is very pretty. There's also a boat service that goes up the entire length of the lake, about once every 45 minutes. I consider taking it to Hrad Veveri but the ferry is very full and the sun is very strong, so I opt to take a walk on the nearer lakeside instead. There's a grass beach where people go to sunbathe and swim in the lake, but once you go past that is pretty peaceful.
Tumblr media
I went back to the beer festival for dinner. Despite what I said earlier XD I ended up trying a summer ale, which was definitely less bitter and a lot more pleasant than the one I had yesterday. I ate a delicious stew (?) with different kind of meats and vegetables and a bramborak (a potato pancake with garlic and marjoram) but it was TOO BIG (a common problem with fried goods at festivals XD).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I sat at a table with a group of people that turned out to be Greek, and when I told them I was Italian one lady said "una faccia una razza!" (one face one race) which is something that my mum told me about from holidays in Greece but I never heard it before XD

My weekend in a nutshell!
On Saturday, the rest of my group went snorkeling with Miss Noyens, while I stayed back at the apartment. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well and decided to stay in bed to recover quickly. That afternoon, we bid farewell to Miss Noyens and welcomed Miss Rutten! She told us how well she had slept on the plane and was eager to go out. So the rest of the group went out for drinks!
On Sunday, we all woke up at a reasonable time, had breakfast together, and headed to Eagle Beach! The water wasn't as crystal-clear as Baby Beach, but it was still stunning. Jasper and I immediately rushed into the water to swim. Eagle Beach was significantly deeper than Baby Beach, and we could only go about 15 meters into the water before having to swim. So, we swam a little before returning to dry land to relax and sunbathe. The weather was cloudy that day, so we left shortly after, stopped at Super Food for groceries, and returned home. We had a full day of beach hopping planned out, but the rain ruined our plans. We followed the Aruban beliefs, which say that going out during the rain is bad luck. As a result, we stayed at the resort, and Jasper and I caught up on sleep while the girls hiked Hooiberg. We had dinner together, followed by ice cream!
After finishing our ice cream, we wandered around the city, trying to locate a spot for drinks. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful, so we opted to return to the resort and drink at The Amigos, our local bar. We retired early to bed so that we could be well-rested for Monday's work!
That was my weekend! Signing off for now and I hope to see you in the next blog post <3.
