I know I released the original all fluff version like weeks ago but the holidays came around and then my birthday and a bunch of other things but anyway I’m back for now (hehe). I am starting school up again but I should have a bunch of free time due to most of my classes being extracurricular ones since I took college courses to do the other classes early (Yippee for me). Anyway I really hope you enjoy it. I know I had fun writing it even though it took me like a million years. I do plan on making a twins one but I kinda need to rewrite it cuz I accidentally set it in a time period making them underaged sooo yea gotta redo that, oopsies. 

Ron stood in the doorway and let his blue eyes trace your figure. 

“You look beautiful.” You blushed at his compliment. 

“Well today is important.” He walked up next to you and took the necklace you planned to wear off the desk. He placed it around your neck while you lifted your hair allowing him to clasp it together. 

“Perfect,” he whispered, placing his hands on your waist from behind. You smile as you put your matching earrings in. 

“Alright, I'm ready.”

“Do you have everything prepared?”

“Yes, it's all in my organizer.”

“Well then don’t forget you are amazing and you’ve got this, go get’em.” You hug him feeling a surge of extra confidence from his words. You walk out of the room and down the stairs to the fireplace, Ron trailing behind you. He presses a kiss onto your forehead. While stepping into the fireplace you grab a palm full of floo powder,

“Ministry of Magic.” You watch as Ron disappears behind the flames and the ministry's black brick walls appear. You start towards the conference room feeling the sweat on your palms, you take a deep breath and reassure yourself. 

“You got this.” You step into the room first, as you expected. You begin to set up your presentation; it was an important one because it would allow your department to expand and potentially lead to a promotion for yourself. Once everyone had arrived you began the presentation. You glided through with ease feeling quite cool and collected the whole time. Why had you been so nervous before, you thought of Ron’s words and smiled internally. After the presentation you were feeling pretty good about it. You left the room and started back toward your office however you heard a few of the wizards and witches who had been in the room talking badly about your presentation. It made you upset and questioned whether you had hallucinated that you were so calm while presenting. You tried to shake it off but remained in a funk the rest of the day. And add that you were behind on just about everything due to being understaffed, it was a combination of all the things that made you overwhelmed. 

You had stayed about 3 hours overtime and got home later than you planned; but even still the second you got home Ron was there to greet you. He took your bag, giving you a kiss while grabbing it, and placed it on the couch. 

“How was work?” You only groan in response. “That bad sweetheart?” You nod and place your head onto his shoulder letting out a big sigh. Ron tries comforting you by rubbing your back and holding your head. 

“Why don’t you get out of those clothes and we can just relax.” 

“Alright,” you say, grabbing your bag and heading upstairs to change into something comfy. You take your hair out of the tight bun it's been in all day and fling off the narrow pumps your feet were squished into; sitting down you take out your earrings and necklace. 

Suddenly Ron shouts from downstairs, “I have a surprise for you!” You can’t help but feel excited using a spell to quickly and cleanly remove your makeup. You make your way back downstairs to see a table set with two plates of delicious looking food, candles, and glasses of the good stuff (nice wine). Ron looks pleased with himself and you can’t help but feel like you drooled a bit when you saw the food. 

“Oh my goodness, what did I do to deserve you?” You give him a tight hug and you both sit to eat. You tell him all about the rough day you had and he shows all his emotions on his face like he usually did: anger when you told him about the people who talked bad about you, worry when you told him about all the work you have, and excitement when you told him that you still felt the presentation went well. Then he told you all about the day he had at work which was usually light hearted as he co-managed the joke emporium with his brother George. He always managed to make you laugh with something crazy that happened. You guys finished eating and took the plates to the kitchen placing them in the sink then Ron used a spell to start washing them. 

“What do you feel up to, darling: a bath, a movie, or maybe me?” You giggled at his proposal and rubbed your finger on your chin pretending to think really hard. 

“Hmm, what about a massage; my back and feet are killing me.” 

“I can make that happen.” He had placed his hands on your shoulders and squeezed them lightly. “Go up to the room, I’ll meet you up there.” 

“Okay.” You head up the stairs and into the room, you lie face down on the bed placing your head into your arms. Ron walks in a minute or so after with a bottle of oil. 

“Well you have to take off your shirt,” he chuckled while giving you a knowing look. You roll your eyes at him making sure to face away from him while removing your shirt. You quickly lay back down on the bed and soon after Ron drips the warm oil onto your back instantly soothing you. He begins to glide his hands along the sides of your back to your shoulders where he puts pressure and squeezes causing you to let out soft moans. 

“You have magic hands Ronnie,” you mumble jokingly. He chuckles quietly and continues to massage the knots out of your shoulders. He then slowly moves his hands down to your lower back and using his thumbs he presses into it and moves out slowly; you gasp lightly feeling loose and calm. 

“Did that feel good?” You nod into the bed and he smiles feeling happy he can please you. Ron’s rough yet gentle hands rubbing from your neck, to your shoulders, to your tailbone. Angel Dust yippee

i honestly don't like his canon design, at least when it comes to his outfit cuz uhm.. that ain't it lol. its just soo boring and generic and doesn't tell us much about him yk, or like relates to his character in a significant way; but most outfits in the show are like that sooo

but for my re-redesign (i did a previous design but deleted the post) of Angel i wanted to lean into a more feminine look for him, and not just in his clothes.

taking inspiration from 1940s drag queens and women's fashion during the time i came up with this! sure the leather boots weren't really apart of that time period but i like to believe that my Angel likes to incorporate some earlier fashion styles in his outfits- and yes, outfits. my Angel likes to dress up buutt i don't have any other outfits for him yet. this outfit is more of his everyday i guess, definitely not his work outfit though haha

also it was intentional for his second set of arms to look like they have gloves on even though they don't. and the heart-like shapes above and below his eyes are just more eyes, i probs should've made them bigger but oh well

I think people might be apprehensive to ask for things about john bc he's married to abigail and has a son. I don't neccesarily feel anything bad about abigail so when people still include her in the fanfiction as if john rejected her and is just seeking out the reader instead whilst he ignores her and jack makes me feel icky

top 5 blazblue character designs

YIPPEE BLAZBLUE

I feel like my tastes are known but I still will take this chance to gush a bit about the characters and design philosophy of em that Ive always been real fond of :)

No particular order here or else I'll be here all night formatting on mobile. More under the cut!

HAKUMEN it goes without saying I LOVE HAKUMEN'S DESIGN SO MUCH. The taloned tabi, the silhouette of wide pants and closefitted shinguards/torso. The faces/eyes scattered across his armour while the face is totally blank—made more unreadable and inhuman by the slats of neck guard. Fox-ears built into the helm shape to feel both animal and mechanical like antennae...and obviously the longass hair to sell the "tailed" look.

I remember reading really early on into liking BlazBlue—I can't remember the source, come maul me if I'm wrong—I read that Hakumen as a character and design was made when Mori was in middle or highschool, the idea of "what is really cool," and much of those ideas stayed. I not only really respect that and think its charming as someone who still likes MY own designs from that time, but, as it turns out, middle schoolers are still right. Hakumen is very cool. Augh. Fucking? Time travelling fox-robot samurai who's here to kill his brother to save him and also himself because his old self wanted to do the same thing for the wrong reason and thay thought disgusts him. Also him and Tsubaki in general make me start to choke (positive). God ok I have four more guys to discuss. Yes i also like Susanoo but I feel like thats a copout, I like that he's both animalistic and brutal martial arts as the God of War. Anyways CONTINUING

VALKENHAYN R HELLSING I will admit that he is an old man in a suit and that speaks to me but that he's one of the strongest beings alive as a old man in a suit ohh. And he's a werewolf ohhhh. Shifting just his body parts to kick and rip with his claws, quickly leaping back and forth between a normal bone-breaking jab or knee or biting and snarling—the dance between raw force and refined precision and a brutal tear's always been sooo cool to see and think about. I also think his ribbon in his hair moving to his wolfy tail is very cute. A man of sharp extremes from refined to flashing his fangs, human and wolf, cool and very cute. I like him :)

TSUBAKI YAYOI her uniform is so nice uruururururugh. Big cape and the way it drapes around her in combat like wings... Her sword and buckler/Izayoi looking so unique for being a "basic sword and shield for the hero"-type of deal! The eye on her hat's always been really striking too—the only "cold" colours being her and her uniforms eyes.....................Sparing a glance at Hakumen's recurring red eyes for no reason here. Knightly angel women and her flower-like "tassets" hanging off her clothes. Its a uniform which plausibly feels like it could be a uniform—she doesn't have anything uniquely "hers" or "for this female character" while still being really standout and clean. Her design's just really good guys. You can do so much.

Really want to mention her masked look too at least really quick here. my girllllll...

RAGNA THE BLOODEDGE well of course I really like his design. Yeah him being here is partially obligation because I love his character a lot but both things inform each other in the end. Mr Grim Reaper, Enemy of the World, red-and-black with a demon's arm on one side and a rebuilt one on the other. His big red coat and the oversize shoulders! The massive baggy pants—I love the silhouette he has. Blood Scythe/Aramasa/His sword transforming and able to clack around and shift's just. Always been such a cool design. Seithr-powered man, devil-smoke powered man, ashes of your own old dead self-powered man. Ragna is fucking cool auauauuuaghrhg.

And it DOES only make it more charming that he has a good heart, has a bit of a Kicked Puppy charm about him if you can pardon uhh that implication. He is just some fucking guy and he likes barbecues. He is sweet and cares for stray cats. His dad is a cat. He blows up the government regularly. He's a rebel who visually looks really clean if "intentionally trying to look like someone you should think is cool", which is both dork-charming and cute and also actually yeah cool because it's not a visual mess.

I like that his arm underneath is all belts and bandaged—Bloodedge only wearing half his coat for example is such a good look and it shows his clean black shirt underneath, which feels a lot like... Under that big eyecatching rebel coat of his (personality), Ragna's... Ragna, I don't know. I hope that makes sense. Knowing his personality makes me like his design a lot more than if I didn't I think.

As mentionned in Hakumen's block of text however: I already really like chuuni-ass designs, so combined in Ragna he makes me unwell entirely.

Kitty peepaw. I am cheating slightly here. I like the Kaka Kittens' big hoods too and think they're very cute and very eyecatching and I adore them always—the kittens especially being stompy little things that travel in packs are really cute. I love that Jubei, actual strongest thing in the world, has the oversized paw sleeves too. There's cat claws bigger than his body stored in what looks like emo kids' oversize hoodie sleeves. He's so simple and still the imagery of that coat gets reused several times over and it looks good every time. Orange kitty peepaw. AND he has an eyepatch, how can I not like eyepatches.

There are my 5 favourite BlazBlue designs :> Sorry if them all being C series or smth is boring wauh. I can spend as long as I want thinkinh about it but I do always seem to come back to these guys, give or take one change depending on the mood. Unchanging faves are Hakumen and Tsubaki for sure and forever though.

So much of their interaction in canon is Chilchuck trying to get him to behave better and Laios being like On It Boss and fucking it up immediately, so I think it would be. very cathartic. to be in a situation where he can Make That Guy Listen. I'M HAUNTED BY THAT SCENE TOO IT'S INCREDIBLE... the way that Laios could bully him into agreeing w something but never does anything like that instead he's an underhanded little shit about it and guilts him. chilchuck cornering laios to berate and poke him with marcille's staff lives in my head rent free and is a good encapsulation of how i see their relationship in general :3

hi nonnie well first of all thank you for describing my very normal room like That and secondly yes absolutely!! the harsh uk weather is my nemesis so i curated my routine to be as nourishing as possible. disclaimer that you definitely don’t need all of these products; i just happen to have super sensitive skin that is prone to dry patches and i also kind of love having a specific routine it’s very therapeutic #patrickbatemancorefr... so without further ado here are my recs 💌

1. clinique take the day off cleansing balm

i haven’t touched makeup wipes in about 7 years because they tended to irritate my skin especially around my eyes so i swapped to this cleansing balm and it’s amazing at removing even the most stubborn makeup efficiently without feeling harsh at all 💆‍♀️

2. ren skincare evercalm gentle cleansing milk

i used to think cleansers were supposed to make your face feel “squeaky clean” until i realised that just meant my skin was being stripped of its natural oils 😭 this is by far the most gentle cleanser i’ve found and i’ve tried a TON none of which can compare like this is srsly such a uniquely soothing product

3. origins drink up intensive overnight hydrating mask

this mask is my absolute fave 🌟 it’s marketed as an overnight mask so sometimes i’ll use it in place of my moisturiser but more often than not i just leave it on for a few hours while i study and it leaves my skin feeling so nice and rejuvenated yippee

4. hada labo gokujyun premium hyaluronic acid lotion

ok this is called a ‘lotion’ but it technically functions as a serum imo and it’s truly my ride or die product i can’t even tell you how many bottles i’ve gone through. it’s comprised of 7 kinds of hyaluronic acid so it is ultra-ultra-moisturising and it makes my skin feel so bouncy and hydrated yass 💧

5. kiehl’s creamy eye treatment with avocado

this is the only eye treatment i think actually made a significant difference out of all the ones i’ve used. it’s so creamy you just need the tiniest amount and it melts so nicely into my skin 🙌 i suffer from super dry undereyes and eyelids and this honest to god saved my life #kiehlsstan4eva

6. caudalie vineactive overnight detox oil

okay firstly i’m obsessed with how this face oil smells it’s like being transported to a spa but more importantly i love how it absorbs into my skin without feeling greasy in the slightest <- i didn’t even know that was possible with an oil. tbh idgaf about the anti-aging claims but this noticeably makes my skin feel sooo soft when i wake up in the morning so i highly recommend! 

7. la roche-posay cicaplast baume b5

this is not marketed specifically as a moisturiser but i use it as one LOL. this is my ultimate holy grail i cannot emphasise enough how it totally transformed my skin esp. in the winter months it is so freaking nourishing and i will repurchase it forever and ever 🫶

and that wraps up my list!! honorary mentions go to the kiehl’s ultra facial cream which was my fav moisturiser before i discovered cicaplast and basically anything from the innisfree green tea range 🍵

knight terrors nightwing: i didn’t hate it!

compared to dicks writing in his solo as of late, i was very excited to see a fresh voice writing nightwing, even in a miniseries. becky cloonan delivered a story that to me was a mixed bag. structurally, especially compared to the other knight terrors titles, it was very solid (someone needs to show these bitches at least 1 psychorror film cause what even is this event 💀). but content wise it was a let down.

spoilers ahead!

cloonan’s transitions between dream and “reality” within the nightmare are very well done. she plays with surrealism and the concept of the mind in some entertaining ways. she has really grown as a writer in the past year or two and this issue shows off some of her more diverse skills.

now onto everyone’s favorite part aka me complaining 🥰🥰🥰

the whole drama is that oh no nightwing killed batman now he has to be sent to arkham 😱 but in the most boring way possible. you could’ve inserted any other batkid and it would’ve been the same story. what would’ve been more dick-esque is batman or anyone else dying because dick failed to save them. that’s dicks thing- he fears being a failure. some receipts ⬇️

that would’ve been a much more compelling conflict to me and an actual nightmare situation for dick. it also would’ve been a nice contrast with bruce’s knight terrors story (yes i know they probably weren’t able to communicate about the stories but bruce’s was hella predictable like cmon).

nightwing failed to save batman from dying and in the process is taken in because they think he killed him. dick pleads his innocence but he might as well killed bruce. he failed. it’s just as bad if not worse.

but instead we get dick getting sexually harassed within the first four pages which 😁👍 is just so great. it could’ve been a moment for some commentary on his history of sa and how dick fears objectification but it’s just brushed past and used as a cheap, tactless shot. especially by using zsasz. the issue would’ve been much better if it had just been left out.

then there’s all the other plot points where it’s like, this could be referencing dicks publication history or it could just be a coincidence ie: the choices of arkham experimentation and pyg as antagonists. you can’t tell which because they aren’t expounded upon. there’s an opportunity to do so but it’s wasted to use the same cards always used. like let john and mary rest godamm. pick any other moment of tragedy in dicks life. and the whole evil scary asylum bit is sooo dated in general and really overused in dc. like again, get another plot device. we’ve had numerous events surrounding this! i believe in you dc! it’s 2023 we can move on.

the bit at the end with babs was just another example of her being a prop in dicks story. boring and sexist.
