SBI (Sleepy Boys INC (incorporated)) Is a group name for Minecraft streamers Philza, Wilbur Soot, Technoblade and TommyInnit, that was "created" in 2020.

When i say "created" i mean named because they weren't like an official streamer group they were just a group of friends that were hanging out, streaming together.

Originally the group consisted of only Philza, Wilbur and Technoblade. Tommy joined later.

When the 3 of them were hanging out one night on February 17th 2020, just playing games they all at the same time tweted the same picture. Everyone got confused so Philza retweeted the tweet saying "this post was brought to you by Sleepy Boys Inc." Because it was like 4 am and they were all sleepy.

And this is how the name SBI got born!

Then Tommy joined.

During MCC 8 (Minecraft event) Tommy and Wilbur were teamed together. Tommy kept begging Wilbur that he wanted to join their group, so Wilbur said that he could if their team placed 5th or higher. Unfortunately that didn't go as it was supposed to. So Tommy had another chance in MCC 9. And they did it, they placed 5th and Tommy was on September 12th 2020, officially a part of SBI!

Those four hanged out a lot together and developed a sort of family dynamic. Because they were all different ages;

Tommy was 16 at the time,

Wibur was 24,

Technoblade was 20,

and Philza was 34.

So Philza became a sort of father figure, Technoblade and Wilbur were the older brothers and Tommy was the little brother of the group.

Because of different time zones and scheduals it was really rare for us to see them all play together on the same stream. Then the joke 4/4 was born.

If we saw all of them at the same place hanging out, we would start saying "oh, look 4/4 SBI!" as to all of them were hanging out that day, and streaming together.

Sadly in June 2022 Technoblade pasted away of cancer. (Rest in peace, king ❤️)

This didn't brake the group apart, not even the fandom but it definitely changed something.

We were still joking when the 3 of them were together that it was still 4/4, because Technoblade was now always with them. And he's still to this day.

The group are still very close friends. They are now together in a group channel called Sorry Boys.

But they all got different interests now, and are not hanging out on streams as often as they did.

Wilbur is a lead singer in his band Lovejoy, Tommy is starting a tour with his comedy show, and Philza is still playing Minecraft and probably will never stop lmao. But they are still very close friends off stream and will be for a log time on. :)

Anyways, i hope you all enjoyed this little rant. SBI is always gonna be so important to me and I'm never gonna let this name die. I don't think that anyone will of course. And if we keep talking about them, post art and write fan fics and AUs, I don't think that the name will ever die.

I hate to bring back whatever Jungkook did with his debut in conversations about Jimin cause it was all already been said, god, but this stuff literally, honestly makes me feel gaslighted. It's like a collective amnesia.

And now Diana Ross is apparently praising jk's SNTY, which is sure, fine. But "MJ is coming through all of the moves" -- isn't it a Bit Much? Like, of all things, I personally had thought Jungkook's MJs cosplay was downright offensive. Justin Bieber and Justin Timberlake, yeah, but Michele Jackson? When BTS did MJs hommage in dynamite it was cute and fun and attractive. But Jk's takes himself Seriously and it's just.. not good? He can dance, sure, but all his style is basically highly aggressive tick-tock-hard-edit kind of dance. He lacks fluidity, detail work, ease, all that he compensates with aggressiveness and power.

And he can sing well, sure! But.. is it Anything different in tone and execution from countless other basic male pop artist and k-pop idols?тт And there's nothing bad with any of it! -- at least till you try to mediaplay yourself as This Generation's MJ.

It just makes me feel like, am I missing something? Does the Diana Ross sees something that I don't?

I'm sorry for ranting, I am actually truly enjoying SGMB rn! And I do understand that jk gets noticed because he's being aggressively put by sb in the limelight by all kinds of means and mediaplays. This gaslighted kind of feeling just sometimes gets to me, I guess.

I just really really hope Jimin will get and will keep getting the recognition and praising he deserves) Because I'd honestly (and I say it not because I'm a Jimin fan) name Jimin as the one that can have MJ's type of presence, but he actually doesn't need to name himself the next anything, because he can just be Park Jimin.

It’s definitely not amnesia with armys, it’s just that with Jimin they can say all those things confidently and know that it’s actually true lmao. The funniest thing about it though is how they would attack pjms for saying the same thing they’re saying about Jimin now for LC, because back then it was being shady. And “you can praise one member without bringing down the other.”

And honestly idk how it hasn’t clicked in their heads the clear difference in JK’s “success” vs Jimin’s. And I don’t mean them knowing how they both got it because they obviously know. But I mean finally come to terms with Jimin having more pull (without the tricks) than JK does.

About the Diana Ross thing…

It was random, but not unexpected because I know what their end goal is. I’m not saying that Diana Ross might not already be privy to who BTS as a group and maybe (and that is a hard maybe for any of them) them individually, but you can’t tell me this doesn’t come off as someone asking her to react to him and giving her thoughts on what she just watched. With other celebrities it’d come off as more believable that they brought him up themselves, but her? Nah.

But you see how all of a sudden even though you believe that JK isn’t that great or doesn’t live up MJ’s son title they’re trying to give him at first you’re questioning yourself just because Diana Ross said he was good? They’ve been doing it for a while now. Teaming him up with the big veteran names in the industry to give him credibility as an artist and performer. Obviously if these people have taken interest in him and is giving him all these praises he must be the best. It’s strategy on their end.

At no point during his debut have they ever let JK’s talent or numbers (without the payola) speak for themselves without having to push something into place. So I really don’t feel any type of way about it tbh. If Jimin gets noticed by those same people on level terms then cool, if he doesn’t that’s okay too. He’ll always be talented with or without their co-sign.

It seems to be similar as before for me but on Twitter holy fuck is it like really really dead (at least the interactions are) I can’t tell if people are just more inactive or just don’t interact w art as much as before + dranart is like gone most of the month so my posts barely even hit likes and interactions as it did before which feels like a punch in the gut for sure I don’t want to sound ungreatful in ANY way btw hope I don’t sound like that😭😭 I think most artists and writers are going thru it rn I hear that their interactions keep getting dropped like 50% every week it’s so sad

Dream fanart pivoting to liking random shitposts and tweets from stan accounts definitely killed their impact because now their likes hold very little importance AND we can't even see them any more 😭😭😭 so that also sucked and it just happened to be during a time where reach and sharing was low to begin with. Certainly hope that activity resumes with more content but idk I think ultimately we need to remind the fandom how much supporting others really helped everyone and uplifts the fandom "functionings"

Fans of GD have this idea of who she, this grand person, but she was human and very flawed. Nothing wrong with that but both the character and her fans don't seem to realize this. If she did not get her way, she didn't want it. She had the love and the support but SHE choose to walk away, what happens after she left is not others fault.

Also, I agree with you, let people enjoy what they want. One, these are fictional characters, so to get pressed and angry over a fictional world is ridiculous. Two, it's not hard to ignore and scroll on by. Let people enjoy what they want, don't be an @ss about it. To those angry (both in CF and PD) talk about your ships favorite scenes or moments with your own fandom. Believe me, its more fun to talk about things you love than things that make you angry.

The thing that really pisses me off as far as the D@wsey of it all, is that most of their fans are also fans of Upste@d and see no issue with the hypocrisy of Halstead being able to move on but not Casey. They like to bring up "girl code" as if it actually matters. Maybe if Gabby didn't do what she did to both Casey and Brett, as far as leaving and not keeping in touch (especially with Brett), and generally being an awful wife and best friend at the end, it'd be different. These same people that love Gabby hate Erin for doing practically the same thing to Halstead. Gabby was worse, imo, because she was married! So, how exactly is it fair for Halstead to move on but not Casey? I don't give a damn if it's only because Gabby and Brett were supposed "best friends". They're not anymore, and probably never really were. Kidd and Foster (god do I miss Foster, even if I love Violet) are her actual best friends. Like I said, I don't hate Gabby, and I wish the writers knew how to write characters off without ruining them (though I think them writing Gabby off the way they did was because Haas was trying to convince Monica to stay until the very last minute), but her fans drive me insane. Also, this rant may be because Twitter (fuck X) now doesn't block the tweets of people you block anymore and I see the toxic side of that fandom again.

And thank you! I might be ranting in general here, but I've never once said anything to anyone about who they ship, even if I'm not a fan of that ship. I never will. How hard it is to not go into the tags of other ships and talk shit and actually tweet directly at those shippers? I feel for them, but when I thought Brettsey had no hope, I stayed away from Fire and read fanfic. It was a much more pleasant experience not interacting with something that mad me sad, or mad.

I don't understand how people think bakugou is a bad person. Like.. did you all just stop reading/watching after the first chapter/episode? Even my friend, who HATES bakugou agrees he developed over the series and isnt a bad person. Take it from someone who was bullied once- i WISH my bullies went through the same development lmao. EM and FK fans are fighting on Twitter because of Moonlight Chicken... and I kinda get both sides, it is true that EM series had a lot less promotion compared not only to Eclipse but a lot other GMMTV series, and there were some toxic FK fans demandig way too much in regard of Alan and Kaipa for MLC, and things escalated today cuz the screenwriter of MLC, wich is tha SAME as Only Friends thing I discovered today myself and I think a lot don't know, made a post for MLC regarding FK and EM fans got mad asking why he is "promoting" them and not EM, demanding also why he is not promoting EM more in a very disrespectfull way...

to be fair this fight could be a way to talk about the show to make people tune in for the drama of the fandom idk... but it is sad that this fights have to start, like the one for VV with ON stans and JS stans; considering that all this actors are all very close friends especially First Khaotung and Mix and it frustrate me that this fights always have to start making a crack in the fandoms and bringing a shadow over a show cuz a lot of people will remember only that of the show...

I don't really want to get involved but to say FK are getting more promotion than EM is not quite true. Atots is still one of the biggest gmm shows and got tons of promotion back then. And it's about to get a revival once our skyy 2 airs. cupids last wish was a bit of a fail but only because Disney was involved so there wasn't much buzz around it at gmm. The Eclipse is FK's first show and I wouldn't say it's getting more promotion than atots back then. EM got fixed after atots and so did FK after the eclipse so isn't that equal? I think so. (this isn’t directed against you btw but against the twitter population lol)

The thing about FK stealing EM's thunder in MLC does seem a bit more reasonable to me, but also--- what bullshit lmao. MLC is EM's show so do these people seriously think FK are gonna steal the show or something? I guarantee you, they're gonna be in like 2 episodes and that's it lmao. People need to chill. And to attack the screenwriter? Nah sis. go touch some grass.

But yeah this rings a bell regarding ON during VV. The fact that the episodes where ON had an appearance got 5x more views than the rest and then people commenting things like "there wasn't enough ON in VV" drove me up the walls lmao. That being said, I hope this won't be the case for FK in MLC. I have not received the FK fandom as toxic so far and I hope it doesn't get worse than what you mentioned.

I'm gonna watch MLC in peace, get excited to see EM in the spotlight again, enjoy the FK screentime and call it a day lmao. i've calmed down a little since my rant (not a whole lot, but enough lol) and if snc accept elton's apology, that's fine.

however to me, it doesn't make up for what he did for three years. elton continuously said nasty things about snc to fans in public on tour (as someone explained their experience on reddit) and then in comments and tweets. and even if snc did what elton claimed they did back then, that didn't warrant the constant pettiness that he gave them. i get feeling slighted or pissed that someone stole your idea (which isn't what snc did but is what elton claimed and then tried to say that fans said that....) but doing it so publicly is the part that grosses me out the most, personally.

snc are private ppl. they keep a lot of shit under wraps. so to air out your grievances so loudly in front of fans, and then turn around three years later and blame them for taking it too far..... nah, sorry uncle elton. you're wrong.

fans took it too far by being mean and sending deaths over actual made up lies that they started. i will not argue against that. on multiple occasions i have called out tiktoks and reported ppl spreading lies about elton. but none of that negates what he actually did, which was bad mouthing snc for years over something that he felt like they did when that wasn't reality.

-> heisei generations forever (officially non-canon to the main timelines of both build and zi-o, though still a good enough homage to build's main story with a decent amount of ryusen) -> build new world: kr cross-z -> i heard the idol otaku is dating his fav special (basically just kazumi/misora nonsense from what i've heard, unfortunately) -> build new world: kr grease (i saw that you weren't keen on both new world movies as most build fans i know also weren't esp. bc of the het shenanigans (+ the weird evolt stuff that i've heard kinda feels like it's invalidating we already saw/learned in the main show, and it feels more like they just brought him back because they were milking his sheer popularity as a kr villain) that are apparently pretty typical of v-cine movies when compared to heavier gay coding in the main shows, sadly, so you can also take a page out of those other fans' book and not consider the nw movies canon or only cherrypicking the elements you like, but wrt the banjou stuff in cross-z specifically, i don't think him and yui are meant to be an unambiguously canon couple the way kazumi/misora and gentoku/sawa became in grease, as you can see a clear difference in how romantic both latter couples acted (even if i don't like both lmao, though i tolerate gentoku/sawa more than i do kazumi/misora simply bc i think g/s has funnier scenes than k/m, even with gentoku's unnecessary sexual proposition towards sawa in ep. 1 back when he was evil) vs. b/y, and also just the way banjou treated kasumi, his only 100% clearly canon girlfriend, vs. how he treated yui up to the end of the movie, and the girlfriend/date/best match comments in the movies seem to feel more like just jokes/trolling in hindsight (esp. since the b/y "date" at the end was literally just them selling stuff *sento* made, like something something sento is always somehow involved with banjou and his girlfriends, or 'girlfriend' in yui's case, so... lol. anyway), and also banjou appears to blatantly check out a shirtless killbas before they find out about him being the villain so ig the bi-coding was technically still going strong, plus the fact that yui just straight up disappears in grease which is supposed to be a direct sequel to cross-z and just isn't mentioned in any way (on which i have some bts info to spill btw, more on that in my next message) while sento and banjou continue to act like partners as usual, and in fact get paired up in a way that sets them alongside the pairing up of k/m and g/s in the same movie - so tl;dr: aside from the fact that we can just straight up ignore those movies, i don't think we have to worry about the yui stuff as a genuine invalidation of ryusen's romantic subtext-that's-practically-text, though it's still unfortunate they tried to pull this shit in the first place even if ultimately very half-assed and halfhearted, and you just kinda have to laugh at the audacity of doing all that *after* banjou made his little speech about sento being his hero, like you said)

-> kr jeanne and kr aguilera with girls remix (a revice spin-off included here on a technicality bc of sawa's presence, along with female characters from a few other kr seasons both in the heisei and reiwa eras alongside the titular female riders who i think i've told you before are the first major example of a lesbian-coded pairing in kr, though iirc they sadly also get hit with some plausible-deniability "they're like family/sisters" comments here though not really in the main show) -> kr outsiders (basically fanservice cash-grab slop from what i've been told that essentially is a suicide squad-esque project where various villains/evil riders from different seasons are assembled to battle a bigger bad guy, and evolt and misora are there in like a couple of episodes so 😔) [4/?]

as for the stuff ive watched, i finished the main eps first and then went for basically everything i could find that i knew had the build charas/story involved, so the only stuff from everything u mentioned that im missing are the 4 eps from zi-o, the revice spinoff, outsiders and the stageshows. i was thinking of leaving the crossover movies for later at first but then i also didnt wanna wait for if/when i watch ex-aid or zi-o so i just went for them (esp since u mentioned banjou chara development for one of them which i was Rlly curious about) and i enjoyed both, non-canon as they might be akfjdksf.. i think ill check out those zi-o eps but i probs wont watch the whole show (yet at least)

but yeah it rlly was a rollercoaster holy shit that entire final arc in the show was fucked up and evil?? in the best way possible??? i was crying literally the entire last three eps help ... the silly little rabbit w a death wish was too real...... i def saw what u meant by the end bit being weaker but honestly it didnt feel too bad to me, it probably wouldve been better executed if they had more eps to work w (which ik are strictly consistent for every season) + those actors that werent able to film, but i feel like for what they had to work with they did a rlly good job bc i was still hooked and Invested(tm)

also the rogue spinoff like i went in already liking gentokus chara a Lot after seeing the whole story so i was biased but i think they showed his desperation and spiral into insanity (? if it makes sense) rlly well there, it was def a lot more brutal but somehow i ended up liking the fight scenes in there more than the main story ones maybe bc they didnt have much of the cgi? either way it was a good insight into gentokus past/chara (and a little bit of takumis too who i always like seeing) and now i can Genuinely put him in the 'poor little meow meow who killed people' box so yay :) my silly shirt man i care him :)

then theres the new world movies which.....sigh......... Yeah............ those sure were movies ......... the comphet honestly didnt even bother me that much bc im so used to ignoring when writers pull shit like that (tho the whole banjou/yui thing did give me a fic idea in a way that i started outlining afkjdksgj) but the way they just undid the entire logic of the new world with the point of it being that its entire existence is only possible w evolt and the pandora box no longer existing is just. “It’s very telling”? Of WHAT? The fact that they like things? Because I’m pretty sure that is just part of being a person lmao. Just because they’re advocates doesn’t mean everything they do has to be ~advocacy~. They are also allowed to enjoy things.

Also, there’s, like, next to no autistic actors changing the portrayal of autism on TV out there to highlight. There’s Talia Grant, Kayla Cromer, and Lillian Carrier and I’m pretty sure that’s it. The other autistic actors playing autistic roles on TV out there are relegated to bit parts or guest roles and/or the same old offensive stereotypes, and neither of those things are even close to “changing the portrayal of autism”, regardless of casting.

I don’t understand this obsession with saying that casting autistic actors = good rep and casting allistic actors = bad rep. If that were the case we’d all have to stop liking Abed Nadir even though AN AUTISTIC PERSON LITERALLY CREATED HIM.

I’ve seen allistic actors get autistic experiences down so perfectly it made me cry. (And no, not just Guy Henry, though admittedly I do have him in mind lol. Danny Pudi also did a fantastic job, and William Beck gets autistic mannerisms so right that he gets the same criticisms of “being wooden” and “not showing enough emotion” as real autistic people!) If that’s “mimicry”, then fuck it, it’s damn good, chameleon-level mimicry.

I really, really don’t get where this idea that “autistic people are so utterly different a Real Human™ could never accurately portray one” comes from, or why on Earth people think it’s progressive. It’s true that an allistic person could never 100% understand what autistic people go through, but like... a straight person could never 100% understand what gay people go through either and, while we joke about “how straight actors playing gay characters kiss”, I don’t see anyone seriously clamouring for gay characters to ALWAYS be played by gay actors. Because we all know that would end badly and result in pigeonholing of actors based on sexuality. So why can’t we apply the same logic to this?

Anyways I’m going to be extra enthusiastic in my upcoming thread (saving it for the episode’s 2-year anniversary lol) praising Guy Henry’s performance in That meltdown scene, just to spite this person for being the physical embodiment of the No Fun Allowed meme.

ETA: Also, like. Why can’t we do both? Why can’t I e.g. be happy and celebrate for Talia Grant’s success and praise how surprisingly well Danny Pudi replicated (common, obviously not universal) autistic mannerisms and speech patterns? These things aren’t mutually exclusive.

It had been about a week since Karl's slip up but everything was already more normal than Y/n had expected it to be. Of course, George, Sapnap and Quackity were all very understanding and gave her space while simultaneously reassuring her that she was safe with them. She fully believed it too, she knew she was safe with them and they weren't going to tell anyone her name.

The one unusual thing was now she had a heavy guilt, like someone dropped another sandbag in her stomach, every time Dream texted her. If the others knew, it was only fair that she tell him her name too, right? I mean, it's Dream. Dream! The boy who had quickly slipped his way into her life and, though she wouldn't admit it to Karl or Naomi, her heart.

But how? Does she just come right out and say it or wait until it gets brought up? She hadn't practiced telling anyone her name because she wasn't planning on doing it any time soon. Though, maybe she should have been seeing as she was going to see them all in person in a little over a month.

Regardless of the guilt, Y/n had other things to worry about today; Quackity was coming to visit. Karl had picked him up from the airport and the two of them spent all day catching up and doing who knows what but Y/n still hadn't met him. She was scared. She wasn't scared of Quackity, but scared because it was the first time one of her online friends would be able to put a face to her name and voice.

Y/n shuffled across her living room rug and reached for her phone on the coffee table, looking for some sort of distraction while she waited for them to arrive.

Y/n rolled her eyes but smiled, shaking her head as she threw her phone on the couch. Okay, he's right. It's gonna be fine. It's gonna be great. It's just Quackity. If he said anything rude or annoying or anything she could literally just step on him like a bug.

A sharp knock on the front door of her apartment snapped her back into reality. She shook her limbs of nervousness as she made her way to the door, two familiar voices begging to be acknowledged from the other side.

"Let us iiinnn!! Y/nnn!!!!" Karl whined.

After countless times asking the same question, she finally convinced Karl that she was okay with him using her real name in front of Quackity. He clearly still felt guilty about telling the boys her name, asking her multiple times in different ways whether he should call her Y/n or Bugsy in front of the guest. She finally got it through his head that she didn't mind either way.

"Hold on!" she yelled back. She unlocked the door and swung it open to see Karl and Quackity. "So impatient."

"Holy shit, you are tall! Goddammit, I thought that was a joke!"

Y/n laughed shyly at the greeting, looking at Quackity like he was crazy. "Hello to you too. Tried to warn you, dude."

"Yeah but, damn! You're tall and attractive, what the hell?"

"Dude," she said with a warning in her voice. She thought the flirting on Twitter was funny, but in real life she got embarrassed easier and wasn't a fan. "I'm about to kick you out of my house before I even let you in."

This was weird, meeting Quackity before meeting some of her other friends. She loved Quackity, but she had known George much longer and Sapnap even before that. There was no problem with meeting Quackity, she just had no idea how to act since she felt like she hardly knew him.

"Am I allowed to tell people that you're hot?" he asked as he fell on her couch, Karl following right after.

"Quackity!" Y/n yelled, her face heating up at a compliment. "Seriously?"

Karl cackled and shoved Quackity. "Shut up, Alex! No, you're not allowed!"

"Sorry, is that compliment reserved for Dream?" He cackled at his own joke and Y/n's face heated up even more.

"I seriously will kick you out of my house."

"You wanna be flirty on main but not in real life?" Quackity scoffed.

"I'm not flirty on main, you are!" she laughed. "Seriously, don't."

"Okay, sorry, I'll stop," Quackity promised with a laugh in his words.

The three of them fell into easy conversation, mostly because Karl and Quackity were already comfortable around each other at this point. They eventually decided to go to the mall, just to mess around and do something.

Y/n frowned as she unlocked her front door, staring at her phone. She had been so happy with all the fans freaking out about the meetup so she looked at the trending list, expecting to see a flood of keyboard smashes and happiness, but that's not all she ended up seeing. BUGKARLITY was trending, so she scrolled through the tweets and was upset to see not all of them were positive. In fact, when she typed her name in the search bar, lots of the tweets using her name were rather mean.

A few that stuck in her head called her an attention whore and said that her friends only flirted with her because she paid them too. Who on earth would even do that? Some hurt way more than others but she tried to push them aside. It wasn't like this was the first time she had seen comments like this, but they had only gotten worse since her Minecraft date with Dream. She was worried it was cause more hate for her friends and the last thing she wanted was to be the cause of their own hate.

She typed several different messages to Dream, deleting them all after she reread them. She felt like she had to request the same thing from him in a different way. Maybe because she felt like his words meant more, even if he really was just joking like the rest of them. She decided to call him instead of texting.

"Hi!" he chirped happily from the other end.

"Hi, Dream," she said as her chest filled with something warm at the sound of his voice. "How are you doing?"

"Good," he dragged out the word. "How are you?"

"Okay."

"Just okay? What's up?"

"Um," she started, immediately forgetting the words she decided she'd use. "I just... would you mind, uh, not flirting with me so much on, like, Twitter and streams and stuff like that?"

There was a silence before Dream's frantically apologetic words came through. "Yes, of course, oh my gosh. I'm so sorry. If I had known I was making you uncomfortable, I wouldn't have—"

"Wait, no," she interrupted but he must not have heard.

"—said things like... oh gosh. Bug, I'm really sorry—"

"Dream!" she raised her voice, getting him to stop ranting. "You don't make me uncomfortable."

"Oh. Really?"

"Of course not. I actually think it's really..." Cute? Adorable? Endearing? "funny," she decided.

"Oh. Then why...?"

She sighed heavily and explained what she told the others. "So, yeah. I just don't want you guys getting hate because of me so I figure if you stop then... you know."

"Bug..." he said gently. "I'm really sorry. I promise you that I don't—none of us think those things about you."

"I know."

"No, seriously," he said, clearly not believing her. "You need to understand that I..." he paused. "I mean what I say. Always."

Always? she thought. There's a few things he's said that certainly he didn't really mean... like calling her cute?

"I don't joke around like that unless I want to. I wouldn't say things like I say to you unless I really, really, genuinely considered you a close friend and felt comfortable around you. And I do."

Her heart swelled. "Thanks, Dream. I just... maybe don't do it so much for right now? Online, at least," she clarified, not wanting to deprive herself completely of Dream's flirting.

"Yeah, if that's what you want, of course."

"Well, I don't want you to stop flirting with me but, yeah."

He chuckled. "Oh, you do like when I flirt with you?"

She hummed and changed the subject. "Did I interrupt you doing anything?"

"No," his teasing voice dropped and was back to his regular self. "I'm just editing the video we filmed the other day."

"Oh, the 'Minecraft, but you can't touch the floor'?" she asked.

"Yeah."

"Oh," she said, not meaning to sound disappointed. "I'll let you get back to it—"

"No. I mean, you can stay on the phone. Unless you're busy."

She smiled and put her phone on speaker and set it next to her foot on the floor. "I was just gonna paint. So I can stay."

Before she knew it, almost two hours had passed of them sitting in comfortable silence, occasionally speaking to share something with the other before going back to their tasks. It was comforting knowing she didn’t need to speak constantly and could just hang out with Dream.

Y/n's phone rested on the floor next to her, Dream on speakerphone on the other end, only the sounds of his keyboard clicking letting her know he hadn't fallen asleep or hung up. She wasn't sure when they started doing this, staying on the phone even when they had nothing to talk about, but they had done it a few times before. They had talked on the phone and Discord many times but it was usually always with purpose, not usually this silently-enjoying-each-others-presence nonsense. Who was she kidding calling it nonsense, she enjoyed it an embarrassingly insane amount.

She repositioned so she was laying on her stomach as she finished sketching an image that was in her mind.

"Hey, you still there?" Dream asked softly.

"Yeah. Sorry, am I taking away from your sitting in silence time with George?" she joked.

Dream chuckled lightly. "Nah, you're more fun. I was just seeing if you ditched me for Karl yet."

"Nah, you're more fun," she mimed truthfully. "But I'm very focused on this drawing."

"Can I see it when you're done?"

"Don't expect too much. It looks bad."

"If you don't tell me what it is, I can't know how accurate or inaccurate it is."

"Very true..." she trailed off, holding the canvas further away to examine it all at once. She wanted the sketch to be perfect before she made permanent choices with paint. She enjoyed the serenity they maintained even when talking, voices low and delicate like they were keeping secrets but not quite whispering. "Are you almost done editing your video from the other day?"

"Sorta. I'm at the part where you and Sapnap almost died laughing because a ghast knocked George into lava and then Sapnap laughed so hard he fell into lava."

She chuckled, remembering the situation vividly. "That was so funny. The way George screams is so funny."

"Let Naomi know that," he mumbled, causing Y/n to gasp.

"Dream!" she laughed loudly and he joined.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry. It's true though."

"Disgusting!"

A distant voice sounded on the other end and she assumed it was Sapnap. "What do you want for dinner?"

Dream responded with a soft, "Nothing, I'm good."

"Are you talking to Bugsy?"

He must have responded physically because the next sound was Sapnap's very clear, much more lively voice speaking directly into the phone. "Hi, Bugsy!"

"Hi, Sapnap!"

"Can you tell Dream to eat some damn food? This man literally hasn't eaten a single thing all goddamn day."

"Dream," Y/n scolded slowly. "Please eat."

"I'm not hungry."

"I'm not showing you my painting until you eat."

A door closed on the other end and she took that as a sign that Sapnap had left.

"I don't wanna see it anyway. It's probably trash."

"Take that back!" she gasped lightly. She looked at the canvas as she grabbed the first paint color and laughed. It was only a sketch and it was already trash. "Fine, then I won't go on the trip if you don't eat in the next ten minutes."

"That's punishing yourself too though."

"Who says I want to see you?" she asked.

"I never said anything about not seeing me being the punishment."

She had been caught. "It was implied."

"Sure it was."

"It's true though. Who says I wanna see your stupid face?"

He didn't say anything, but an incoming FaceTime call lit up Y/n's phone. A FaceTime call from him.

Her smile dropped. "Clay?"

"Answer it," his voice was lower and her heart started beating faster. Was he really about to show her his face to prove a point? Reveal his biggest secret that only a few close friends knew? To her of all people? She made sure she couldn't be seen in the small window and pressed accept, the voice call ending and the FaceTime call starting.

To her surprise, what came into view wasn't his face, but the logo of the hoodie he was wearing, the simple smile of his merch taunting her. She laughed, the anxiety slowly fading away as it was replaced with a heavy feeling in her stomach. Was she disappointed? Maybe a little, but he teased her into believing she would see him.

"Oh, wow! Dream face reveal! He looks just like his icon, no way!!!"

His chest moved up and down as he laughed, not moving the camera away. "You heard it here first, guys! You've known my face all along, the logo is actually my face!"

She laughed and returned to painting, not paying any more attention to her phone since he was now also showing his ceiling, a small corner of his monitor in frame but nothing else. "I mean it though, if you don't eat, I'm going to be so mad I won't even want to be friends anymore. Or you'll die from malnourishment before we get the chance to meet."

"I doubt it. I'm just not hungry."

"Whatever."

"Oh, hey, so you met Quackity today. How was it?"

"Very scary."

"Yeah?" he asked sympathetically, urging her to explain if she wanted.

"Yeah. But it turned out okay! He didn't act any different so it was fine. It was mostly just awkward. He's also so freaking loud. You would not believe how much louder he and Karl get when they're together."

"I can imagine. Aren't they doing a stream right now or something?"

"Yeah, I think so. I don't wanna watch though, I've had enough of them for the month."

Dream laughed. "How will you deal with them together for New Years'? It'll be for like two weeks."

"Who knows if I'll actually go?"

"Wait, what?" he asked abruptly, not even bothering to hide the disappointment in his voice. His keyboard stopped clicking and she could picture him staring at his phone as if looking at her. "Of course you're going."

"Not if you don't eat food! You have, like, 3 minutes to eat something until I officially am busy doing other things whenever the trip is."

Dream groaned and clicked a few things on his computer before the image on the screen became blurry as he walked through the house, still pointing it at the ceiling. She looked away again and kept painting.

"Quackity's really funny though," she continued. "It was super awkward at first but it was fun to have someone else to help me make fun of Karl."

"Wait, Bug," Dream called out over the sound of wrappers crinkling.

"Hm?" She hummed, continuing to paint.

"Bug," his voice was much softer and he sounded nervous.

She looked at her screen and dropped the paintbrush as she focused on what she saw, grabbing her phone and holding it closer to her face so she could see, still making sure she wasn't in view. All the anxiety from the beginning of the FaceTime suddenly came back and hit her like a truck. Sitting on her screen, waiting to be seen, was Dream. His hood was up, tufts of blonde hair sticking out, and he was standing with his back towards a dark room, the dim light from his pantry making his face just visible.

He held up a cookie in front of his actual, real face. "Are you watching?"

"Y-yea... I... Yeah. I'm watching. Is that really you?"

He nodded once before shoving the cookie in his mouth. "There, I consumed food," he announced, his voice muffled by the cookie. "Now you're legally obligated to come."

"I—What? CLAY! WHAT?"

"What?" he asked innocently as he chewed, walking back to his room and still holding the phone up to show his face. His room light was on, making his face much more visible. If Y/n thought he was attractive in the harsh pantry light, he must have looked like a god in his room lighting, even as pixelated as he was due to the quality of FaceTime. He fell on his bed and Y/n could only gape at his features. He slumped against his headboard, surrounded by roughly a thousand pillows, sporting a small, shy smile as he stared at the screen. "Bug, what?"

She opened her mouth but no words came out. Needless to say, he was unbelievably handsome. Part of the speechlessness was from the shock that he showed his face out of the blue, but obviously, the majority of it was that he was pretty much the most attractive person she'd ever seen. It should be illegal for someone to look that good in a hoodie, especially when pixelated.

"Hmm," he hummed thoughtfully. "Wanna take back what you said earlier?" He bit into another cookie.

"W-what did I say earlier?" Why was she stuttering???

"You said you don't wanna see me and that I'm ugly," he teased.

She paused for too many seconds too long before finally muttering, "you arrogant son of a bitch." He laughed loudly at that.

His eyes crinkled and he threw his head back. So that's what he looks like when he wheezes, she thought to herself, pretty.

Dream shuffled his position on his bed and rested his head on one of his hands. He looked so comfy. "Why are you so quiet, weirdo?" he mumbled.

She set her phone back down and touched her cheeks with her hands and looked away for a moment, grounding herself to the real world for a second. She couldn't process her thoughts when she was staring at a man as gorgeous as Clay. "I don't know, maybe because you gave me no warning before showing me your face? Or because you failed to mention that you're incredibly hot?"

She was so glad she had looked back at her phone or else she would have missed the glorious sight of his cheeks turning bright red before he turned the camera back to his ceiling. "Oh my gosh."

"Aw cute, I made you blush."

"Shut up," he mumbled. "You threatened to not come if I didn't eat something!"

"You didn't have to—you showed me your freaking face just to prove you ate a cookie!! DREAM! I would have believed you if you just said you ate something!" she laughed breathlessly, staring at the phone now for a chance to see him again. "I was joking anyway!"

"Sure you were."

"I was."

"Well, oh well. You deserved to see me anyway."

"Oh, I deserve to see you?" She laughed. "How big is your ego?"

"You know what I meant," he groaned. "You got doxxed by Karl and you met Quackity in person. And you've clearly had a bad day because of all the hate and stuff. You've done a lot of stressful things recently and you deserved to be let in on a secret too."

He was so sweet. Like, tooth-rotting, Halloween candy stash hidden under a kid's bed, upset tummy sweet. She also couldn't get over the fact that he was a million times cuter when he was shy like he was being now, his voice soft and unsure. It contrasted vastly with the confident, loud-mouthed Dream everyone usually saw, though she liked that Dream too. She wished he could show his face for just one more second to see what he looked like shy. Probably sickeningly adorable.

This was it, wasn't it? The chance she had been waiting for to tell him her name? He just let her in on his biggest secret, now he was the one deserving to be let in.

"Y/n," she said with a confident, but soft voice.

There was a long pause. "W-what?"

"Y/n."

He understood the second time immediately. "Y/n..." he tested, the smile in his voice clear as day. "I like it."

"Yeah, well, I guess you deserved to know the secret too."

"I would have been content never knowing."

"Really?" She didn't believe him. He seemed like the type to never be satisfied, always looking for something better. Not in a greedy way, but in a motivational, goal-oriented big achiever way.

"Really," he hummed. "I already feel like you're too good to be true so I wouldn't be surprised if you weren't a real person."

It was silent as she tried to collect her thoughts.

"Bug? You okay?"

"Yeah, I... it's just a lot."

"Sorry."

"No, it's not you. Well... I don't know. I just don't know what I'm supposed to say when you say things like that," she admitted.

He paused. "I think you always have the perfect responses when I say things like that."

"What do I usually say?" She smiled shyly, pulling her hoodie up to her lips.

"You usually call me a nerd or say you can't stand me. 'Oh my gosh I cannot stand you'," he mimicked before laughing.

"What? How is that the perfect response to you saying you can't believe I'm real?"

He hummed and she could practically hear him shrugging. "Because it's a classic Bug response. It's a hundred perfect you. So yeah, it's perfect."

She was silent, trying to compose herself before she exploded.

"By the way, check Twitter."

"Why, are you bragging about me calling you hot?" she teased, hoping to make him blush like she had earlier. It worked.

"Oh my gosh, no. Just look."

She clicked her home button and navigated to the app, her feed instantly flooding with the same similar messages.

"Oh, my gosh," she muttered, her fingers flying away as she typed out her own tweet in response to the love.

Dream chuckled from the other end and when she asked him why, he vaguely said that George texted him but didn't explain further.

"Um, I have to go," she said mournfully. "Karl and Quackity are coming over again."

"Booooo," he pouted.

"Sorry, you aren't the only man in my life," she teased before instantly regretting her choice of words. Too flirty, Y/n, she thought to herself.

"Hm, shame. Am I at least at the top of the list?"

She bit her lips, wanting desperately to repeat what she had told him on their Minecraft date. In the end, she gave in. "I always mean what I say too," she started. "You're my main bitch, baby."

Dream made some sort of sound, a mix of a scoff and a whine but Y/n didn't comment on it, just glowing with heat in her cheeks.

"Leave before I don't let you," he said softly and the heat only grew.

"Goodnight, Dream," she pressed, the tone in her voice letting him know he was being a tease. "Thanks for... thanks for your tweet. And for everything you said earlier."

"Of course. Sorry that you have to see those kinds of things a lot."

"It's okay when I have people like you."

"People like me? What does that mean?"

"Just.... people like you." Cute, sweet, kind, genuine people who make her heart flutter.

She could hear his smile in his words and she figured he knew the unspoken words in her thoughts, the ones she was saying without saying. "Okay. Goodnight, Y/n."

"Goodnight."

One thing that really get me about Twiins rant about making Blake's skin darker is how unneeded it was. If she was upset for people not following the rules, that's all she needed to say. But I guess, maybe she felt the need to get on her high horse and talk down to people. I can't help but feel that she did that because some part of her knows that being an asshole and is extremely wrong. However she does not want to confront this, so she hides this by defending another minority (while being completely unaware of how her words hurt said minority).

Another thing that really gets me is her wondering why it is the fantasy minority who always had to have darker skin which is...The answer to her question is right in her face. Gee, I wonder why the minority character who experiences racism is drawn with darker skin by poc artists, gee Twiins I wonder why that is, I see no possible reason why it's the minority character and not more often say, Weiss, who's from the most racist kingdom, father is a racist, and company literally owned slaves.

Lastly, I really don't like how she assumes that everyone who drew people with darker skin knew she was asian coded. She makes the assumption that everyone did it out of malice when that's not the case. Not only does that target black people who saw themselves in Blake, it also hurts darker skin asians who did the same. But ya know, I went looking for the brief evidence that she flashed on screen that Monty said Blake was asian coded. The only thing I found was Monty saying that Blake was somewhat design after Linda Le. That tweet was made back in 2013, which was 11 years ago. Sure that was on the wiki, but it's such a small detail that people can legit just look over it on accident. How does Twiins expect to know that Monty said something like that from 11 years ago. Besides that, she's also ignoring that people could and do see Blake's asian elements as surface deep like Yang, Sun, and Tai. So again, it's never been out of malice, it's never been to erase the asian coding because Blake wouldn't be the "right" minority, it's happening because poc with darker skin colors seem themselves in Blake.

All and all, I'm just worried that this will pit black people against Asian people and dark skinned asians against light skinned asians. I really hope that Twiins' words don't reach that many people nor do others spread it as well.

that's entirely the issue here is that instead of just saying exactly what her issue was, that people didn't obey her rules which imo were racist anyways for her as a white woman to impliment, but instead she co-opted a serious movement targeting anti asian hate to grandstand on. which was never her place & just makes her seem like this white saviour ass bitch who has to educate the poor, uneducated poc about our own issues.

even when she was confronted about the minority she was supposedly 'defending', she further mocked them & insulted them while acting like she was doing them a favour. the literal 'white woman's burden' on her dumb ass lmao.

you absolutely put it out right on why people would associate blake as a minority & would want to depict her as one because i'm sorry, twiins can use an out of context, 11 year old tweet by monty's horny ass all she likes but blake in the show is white. the show knows how to create asian characters, they know how to implement certain aspects to get that across with characters like ren, sun, sienna, bolin, etc. blake has none of that, she was written as a white character based mostly on her white, european voice actress. there is no asian erasure here & there never was, twiins is just too much of a dumbass to admit she was wrong & furthermore, that she was racist.

that's the long & short of it, she was racist. she pitted two minorities against each other, mocked them, insulted them, wrongly assumed that all dark skinned blakes were black when the submission she rejected was of blake as indian - japanese, & overall just acted like an authority where she had no right to. this was never her place to speak over actual poc & the fact she's not only misused terms like blackface & blackwashing, but that she refuses to reflect on any of her actions & just instead cried that she wanted to 'be educated' is disgusting. people were educating her, they were mostly civil where i personally thought they absolutely had the right to call her musty, dusty white ass out & yet she still played the victim. this was the exact same thing she did in the adam debacle when poc were trying to educate her on how her generalizing statements about the character were harmful because they ignored the racial aspect to his character & how the writer's racism influenced it.

i too hope this doesn't incite more hatred towards these groups. light & dark skinned asians, alongside black people, didn't need this when they're both just trying to bring light to their issues. thankfully it does seem like she got a fair amount of backlash to this but it shouldn't have had to be this way.

Twitter is freaking out again about bi and pan. I guess on the lgbtq wiki (? I guess people use it often, Twitter hated it before bc it included mspec lesbians on it) on the page for bisexuality it says some people personally define bisexual in a way that's similar to the definition to pansexual. Not really a big deal to me. But it's blowing up with people explaining the differences between the two, but they often define pansexual incorrectly and a lot of tweets just feels like thinly veiled panphobia

ok so i did some twitter searching, and the only screenshot i keep seeing is from the bisexual wikipedia page, which says:

"It may also be defined as romantic or sexual attraction to people of any sex or gender identity, which is also known as pansexuality."

and like. it's not saying bisexual and pansexual are the same, it's saying bi can be defined is this specific way, which is also a definition for pansexual. the wording maybe could've been better, and maybe they could've just not mentioned pansexual at all. but i don't really get being SO upset about it.

(also, wikipedia has been known to be panphobic, i mean the pan wikipedia page has never not been a hot mess, so if that was meant to mean "pan and bi are the same" i wouldn't be surprised. and i'm not surprised people seem to only care about this instance of maybe-sort-of-panphobia from wikipedia because it affects bi, too. folks being like "listen to bi people on this" and calling it "bi erasure" as if it has nothing to do with pan or pan people is so fucking typical.)

i saw a few people pointing out that those who are upset about it are clearly just confused, and some others pointing out that when defining pan or bi, the other does not need to be mentioned. so that was a pleasant surprise. finally some people making sense lmao.

a lot of the people upset about it are saying "first it was the lesbian page, now this" and given that the issue with the lesbian page was the fact that inclusionists were running it, the majority of the people upset about this are apparently exclusionists. which checks out.

and others were mad about the mention of the bisexual umbrella, saying that bi isn't an umbrella. which. as someone who has a lot of criticism of the concept of the bi umbrella and specifically how it's utilized. i'm gonna need people to learn some fucking bi history. wikipedia or whoever edited the bisexual page did not create the idea that bi is an umbrella term. BISEXUAL PEOPLE DID. and when used properly, it has its benefits and place. i am so tired of having to defend the bi umbrella because people can't be bothered to learn their own fucking history before opening their mouths.

i usually dgaf about antis and block and move on, but i also hate misinformation with a passion. i understand if someone felt hut by past actions, i understand that sometimes an apology is not really enough to fully soothe the hurt because even a small instance can be so so tiring after a lifetime of microaggresions. i completely understand.

but also, from my observation, people who are/were fans and then felt hurt are usually not antis who comment under every semi-related post with "dream is a horrible person who did x, y, and z!"

and those people frustrate me so much. why do you care? what do you gain from spreading this, and if youre spending this much energy into hating him, why cant you spend one more minute on google?? (i already know the answer-- these people dont care if theyre wrong, they just hate). but misinformation is so frustrating, because it makes me feel so (aksksk idk the right word in english.. 억울해 ? is "wronged" the right word ? english sucks ass sometimes) on behalf of dream. because he cares! he can mess up, might slip up in the future, but how he acts after mistakes matters more, right?

i also hate how twitter is such a large source of spreading "information" because the limited word count makes it hard to properly get things across and makes people prioritize buzz words to get the most interactions. people say "these internet celebs should educate themselves, they have google" without looking into things themselves- without being willing to open a twtlonger or even read through a thread of tweets. how can you possibly expect to understand a situation properly with just 250 characters and a 1 minute clip?

Exactly this. Like people say they should know better and educate themselves and need to apologize but can’t even be bothered to google a readily available apology most of the times. Or see that what they’re saying is blatantly false.

I blame companies. i enjoy fanservice as much as any other fan but they keep trying to make fans believe that the couple of the hour is actually dating since it makes the hype last longer and ups the money. but what happens when the contract is over and we need to move on to the next pairing?? imo it makes it more painful to the fans and makes the couple look bad. (+) They spend a year making the public think that these two men are super close to the point where there are even rumors of dating and then suddenly they no longer have to pretend and just act normal or even fall off, how does that make them look to the public? going from bffs to nothing? i hate that way of promotion. just let them be and if they're close, great, if they're just workmates, fantastic. just don't create a fantasy just for the sake of it when it'll all fall down with the next show.

sorry you sent this yesterday after my previous ask about people comparing ZeeNunew to MewGulf but I haven’t had the time so sorry if this seems out of context now lol. 

I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. It’s the absolute worst. I’m gonna try and not turn this into a rant again because I’ve done that multiple times in the past lol but yeah I despise it.

Fanservice is normal and it’s nice and fun here and there and every now and then. If it feels like these people are actually friends then it’s nice to see them be close as it feeds into their chemistry on-screen as well. So no, I’m not a hypocrite when I post stuff about actors lol. 

But them actually acting like they’re a couple and then “break up” after the show is done is so dumb I can’t even put it into words jdkkdfg and it crosses so many lines for me. It’s a way of making the fans look stupid and above all it’s unnecessary as hell. Do they really think that if mewgulf or zeesaint were still talking today, that people would sabotage cutie pie or any of MG’s new projects? Like how dense and one-track minded do they think we are? It’s hard not to be offended by this tbh. 

I get it that if someone is new to the fandom they might fall for this but if you actually think that these actors are together in real life,,,,,,,,, are you ok djkghdf like I’m just rolling my eyes at this point. 

I don’t remember who it was (it might’ve been Zee) but he said in an interview that they purposefully wanna provide to the fan’s imagination that they’re together in real life etc. and I remember seeing it and being like,,,, we been knew but why would you say that so blatantly lmao? I don’t know. I guess I just don’t get concept and the appeal of this at all. 

What is so hard about letting these actors act normally and naturally around each other, regardless of when and how and regardless of whether their show is still on air or not and regardless of whether it’s successful or not?? Just let these people be ffs. If you want to promote your show then do meet-ups, events, interviews, etc.... There are so many other ways. Which is also why I’m so triggered by Gagaoolala using the actors’ names for their weird thirst tweets like jfc just stop?? These companies should take into consideration that these actors are not their characters and that maybe fans will NOT immediately stop watching the show if their mains aren’t all over each other at all times. sigh. 

gosh. I didn’t wanna rant again and now I did lmao. oh well. Before this gets more heated I’m gonna end it here jkdghd, but as I said, I agree with what you said but I don’t expect any of this to change anytime soon so we’ll just have to deal with it I guess.
