Ya know when the abridged is more reccomended than the source you know you fucked up.

That said my feelings on abridged series is that I should watch a deccent chunk of the original first. Gotta know the rules to break them and all that. There's a reason that I got far more into the Sailor Moon Abridged than the DBZ or Yu-Gi-Oh abridged series back in the day.
