I love writing stereotypical cishet men (not LGBT phobic or creepy or anything obvs) and really playing deep into the stereotypes by giving them anger issues and all this stuff and then making them gay. It's better than therapy istg.

when a living weapon whumpee only takes orders from ONE person. They’ve been conditioned to ignore everyone else’s orders. This means that after rescue, the team can barely get whumpee to drink or allow them bandage their injuries. One of the teammates manages to imitate whumpee’s handler by deepening their voice.

They stay out of whumpee’s line of sight, standing behind their hospital bed. “Drink this,” they snap, hating how they have to command this broad-shouldered ghost of a person. Without their armor, without their mask, whumpee looks like a wraith. There’s nothing behind their eyes. They play with the hospital blanket with twitching hands that have strangled and maimed.

When whumpee hears the order they stiffen to attention and take the cup offered with those still-shaking hands. But the cup slips through their fingers and lands in a puddle on the tiles.

They immediately tense up, shoulder blades flung so far back they touch. Their breathing quickens, waiting.

But nothing happens.

They give whumpee a new glass of cold water. This time, they lift the cup to whumpee’s lips and hold it steady, with one hand behind their head for support.

it actually makes me so sad that there are people out there who want buck’s first relationship with a guy to be a bad one. a terrible one, even. who are hoping for its failure to be something that would be rather traumatizing and horrific—simply because they hate the guy buck’s with. who want buck’s first boyfriend to be this terrible Big Bad Guy who hurts him, dismisses him, and doesn’t like or care for him. i know you don’t like tommy but the question is, do y’all even like buck?

Somewhat unusual sounds that the whumpee needs to sleep/relax peacefully.

A half working, droning air conditioner, reminding them of the more comfortable environments they slept in? Sure!

The sounds of heavy footsteps on wood floorboards above them, telling them the whumper is too busy with company? Alright.

When Whumpee has worn a shock collar long enough to know what comes just before the pain, and all it takes to correct their behavior is Whumper’s hand drifting toward their pocket, where Whumpee knows they keep the remote.

The sudden flash of regret across their face as they hold out a placating hand and blurt, “Okay, okay, I’ll do it! I’m sorry, please don’t—“

Not to rehash this discourse so close to his birthday but genuinely what other mysterious unnamed trauma of Jason’s is Bruce referring to in bftc if not csa? We know that:

It’s something that happened to him

It’s something that happened to him pre-Bruce, so it presumably could’ve happened while he was an extremely vulnerable unsupervised homeless child

It’s something associated with secrecy and shame: Jason only told Bruce about it and freaks out about Dick playing his hologram talking about it

It’s something that affected him profoundly, Bruce says it left him “broken” (ugh side note: hate this language) and he seems to get retriggered by it being brought up again

What other trauma is coded like this besides sexual assault? Like genuinely I have yet to hear an answer that fits as well or better

smthin about blitzø's romantic relationships defined by him as bodyguard, with fizz, with verosika, and with stolas. something about that being a part of his core, either as a negative (it's all about putting his body in front of theirs because he's the "less important" factor and it's the only real thing he feels has to offer alongside sex) or as a positive (he likes protecting others, he likes being of use, it's a good way of communicating how much he cares and he's good at it)

but yeah, that forming part of the foundations of those relationships from his side

Imagine a spoiled royal, heir to the throne, part of a powerful bloodline that gives them "divine right to rule". They're raised to be cruel, and told their heritage puts them above everyone else.

And then one day, it's revealed before the entire court that it's all a lie. The royal was switched at birth with the child of a servant. The real heir has been serving in the palace all this time, unaware of their birthright. Maybe they're even someone the faux-royal had been particularly cruel to all their lives.

The ruling family is quick to push out the false heir---blood is more important to them than any illusion of family---and welcome the servant with open arms.

Maybe the false heir is banished from the kingdom they were raised to rule. Maybe they're imprisoned so the truth can never come out. Maybe they're made a servant, now at the beck and call of someone they'd thought beneath them.

Does the true heir take pity on them, or do they seek vengeance from years of abuse? Does the royal family have any regrets, or have they always been cold, only concerned with holding power? What do the servants and commoners do, now that the arrogant "heir" has lost all power and protection?

Whumper who uses this as an excuse to tear out more of whumpee's hair, or cuts it off.

Caretaker who tries to get whumpee to stop

Caretaker can't just restrain whumpee but it's like every second their back is turned there's another clump in whumpee's hand.

Caretaker who tries regularly brushing whumpee's hair to give them sensation, but gently. Or who pets and scratches their head, but gently.

Caretaker who cuts whumpee's hair too short for them to get a grip on it (consensually or not).

Half starved whumpee whose hair comes out easier than when they were fully fed.

Whumpee who would get punished by whumper for touching their hair, scared of punishment by caretaker for absentmindedly running their hands through it.

I cant get the picture of defiant whumpee being beaten by a group of people (maybe 2 or 3) who Whumper ordered them to.

Cue the splatters of blood. The sound of a fist connecting to skin with a hard thud soon followed by a weak and rasped cry.

Bonus points for at the end Whumpee’s eyes meeting with Whumper’s whos sat back on their chair, a cigarette lazily sitting between Whumper’s two fingers.

Whumper soaks in how utterly pathetic Whumpee looks, a beaten mess on the floor, looking up at them.

A beautiful sight if you ask me.

we all know i'm insane about uniforms. and it's usually in the sense that i enjoy hot people in uniforms who know how to wield that power and abuse their authority.

but...

i think it's important to talk about the guys who barely want that authority. and sure as hell don't know what to do with it. their voice breaks, their body is trembling- don't you just love seeing someone who's supposed to be powerful on their knees and with their own gun shoved down their throat...

a thing i've noticed from people talking about whumperless vs whumper is that almost everything i see involving a whumper is captivity/torture. and while i do enjoy that very much, just like whumperless stuff, i think there are also a lot of scenarios that involve another person doing the hurting but aren't captivity/torture and i don't know if that is forgotten about a bit or if i just haven't found it yet/it stands out less.

so now i'm looking for some tropes/scenarios/examples/recs of whump with a whumper but no captivity/kidnapping/torture.

i'm thinking things like a character getting mugged at gunpoint, roughed up a bit and then let go, maybe just a good ol' fight, getting run off the road (vehicular accidents caused by the Bad Guy), stuff like that
