The Carnux Sounds: You are the Magician
I once believed in a divide between the sacred and the mundane, but as I’ve journeyed through life, I’ve come to understand that everything holds a sacred essence. The notion of the mundane is simply a perspective. Within this reality, every aspect is imbued with significance and holds a sacred quality. If we can have […]The Carnux Sounds: You are the Magician

as an atheist that was even physically forced to hear unsolicited religious discourses of "how wrong i am", how "im gonna burn in hell" or "god hates/is dissapointed of me" from believers after saying im atheist, magnus being atheist without being antagonized or questioned for it is something so fucking personal to me

Randos online: City slickers are ridiculous looking at a deer like, "omg old gods!" Deer are so stupid, how could you look at that and see anything divine.
Me, functionally pantheist, sees the divine in everything: Oh, haven't you heard?

Old friends
Changing Paths challenge day 9 — old friends. Although Unitarianism / Unitarian Universalism wasn’t my path, I still value many of their ideas and values. They’re green, they’re LGBT+ inclusive or at least welcoming, they were the first to ordain women ministers (the Universalists in 1860, the English Unitarians in 1904), among the first to welcome LGBT+ people (1970 in the UK). Many 19th…

Religious fundamentalists who seek to tell their own and others how to live, and atheists who live unquestioningly by the “bible” of whatever the corporate-funded patriarchal structures have labeled Science but automatically reject anything not labeled Science, are two groups of people that have significantly more in common to me than all the diverse range of peoples I see on the internet who’ve found their own forms of divinity to incorporate into their lives. Forms that they came to on their own, because those Gods, forces, rituals, symbols, ideals, concepts, whatever spoke to them personally; and forms that don’t seek to give them a list of rigid rules they must model their personal lives on.
Seriously, how beautiful it is to see so many in today’s world who are doing spirituality in ways that honor their own souls. The world isn’t becoming more faithless; more people are just finding expressions of a higher power or other spiritual concepts that actually empower them, in place of being policed about how to live or how to see the world by other people.

religious trauma (healing journey) | things that I remember
Tumblr media
• being pressured to get rid of my mermaid things (I was worried back when my husband was getting me a mermaid tail, but I’m really glad that I have it, it’s one of my childhood wishes fulfilled ✅✓)
• internalizing the view of fairies being demons (I love [benevolent] fairies 🧚‍♀️ maybe some fae creatures could be seen that way, though, lol — although some people might/would disagree that those creatures are actually of the fae)
• experiencing comments/lectures about fantasy creatures like elves being bad/evil/demonic (something like that) in the past
• that the Irish folklore book that I read as a kid/teen and gave myself my Irish name based on the princess in one of the stories was gotten rid of (I found a book online a while ago that might’ve been the same book, I have to find it & look at it again)
• having property of mine destroyed for seeming occult/witchcrafty/“demonic” or for having occult/“demonic” symbols on it
• that the authentic Irish cup and saucer from my aunt who passed years ago was destroyed for having an “occult” symbol on the bottom and replaced with something else
• having to deal with aggression and harassment about veganism being “unbiblical” or “demonic” (or whatever), being accused of being “brainwashed” for being vegan and “questioning/judging g-d” for even questioning something(s) in the Abrahamic b*ble
• a christian pastor saying that my husband (before we were married) should not marry me until/unless I “stop being vegan” along with other awful things — and I literally tithed hundreds/thousands of dollars to that organization
• being called “rebellious” and “disobedient” since childhood and into adulthood, even though I tried to explain over and over that I wasn’t trying to be and my view(s) of things
• being treated like I “should know better”, as well as being blamed for personal things even though I was a kid
• a christian pastor saying negative things about me, because I didn’t shake his hand (I wasn’t trying to be rude/mean, I generally prefer not to shake hands)

Listening to someone else watch the original ATLA again, just starting season 3, and there's this line where Aang suggests that it didn't just look like he died, but he DID actually die and Katara brought him back. And look, I don't know much about the lore introduced by TLOK, but this sounds like a really fun place to start an AU inspired by "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"'s take on the temporary death and resurrection of a cyclical chosen one: Aang is brought back to life and is STILL the Avatar, but his temporary death still also causes another Avatar to be born into the Southern Water Tribe (or Swamp People or refugees on some southern island, whatever).
Like, I know the Avatar is a reincarnation thing, but weird things can happen with spirits! Maybe this glitch in the cycle causes the spiritual equivalent of mitosis to happen to the Avatar and the spirit attached to them, so there's just two of them now! Maybe having two Avatars has some spiritual downsides, maybe not, it's up to whatever path you choose to explore in this AU.
I just think it would be really funny for post-canon 21yo Aang (and the Gaang and the White Lotus and all the spiritual / religious orders on the planet) to suddenly be confronted with a 10yo water tribe kid who is ALSO the Avatar.
A water tribe couple shuffle awkwardly up to Sokka, like, "Sooooo... we think our 10 year old daughter might be the Avatar...? She can, uh, bend all the elements and all that. Look at this shit." And Sokka is like, "Fuck, Aang is dead?!" Before he's like, "Wait, I saw Aang last week, this kid is way too old?!" And he has to hastily contact Aang like, "Hey, buddy, you're still alive, right?" And Aang can only reply, "Uhhh, last I checked, yes?!?!"
It's probably Sokka and Katara who put the pieces of the timeline together and figure out what caused this, because all of the other Avatars are probably initially like, "Yeah, I have no idea what's happening here. I'm you and you're me, but I'm also her and she's also me, and you and her are kind of the same person, but you're obviously different people now? Wow! Good luck figuring all that out, kid! You're really going places none of us have gone before! A real groundbreaker!"
Aang, through gritted teeth, "I am really not TRYING to do that, thank you!"

The Ultimate Grimoire Guide
So! I have been seeing a ton of grimoire ideas and thought I’d stuff them all together. A lot of ideas are from @manifestationsofasort, @banebite, and @pigeonflavouredcake. Check them out! They have a ton of cool stuff there.
What Do I Use For My Grimoire?
You can use anything for a grimoire! For a physical one, journals, binders, and notebooks are good. For digital ones, Notion, Tumblr, Docs, and even just your file folder are great.

What really hurts about religious discourse is how much we all have in common. I know being a Hellenist brings me unfathomable levels of warmth and comfort that I can’t find anywhere else. And I know there are people of other faiths that feel that way with their deities.
There’s so much emphasis on who is “right” or “wrong”, but I don’t believe there’s one truth for everyone. We all have such different lives and paths. The way religion is used as a weapon of hate and not a tool for love and compassion will always sadden me.
I may not personally worship every deity of every religion, but I acknowledge that the feeling of spiritual fulfillment that other religions give people is real. That is enough for me to find love in my heart for them all.
If Allah can bring you that feeling, THATS BEAUTIFUL!! If Jesus can bring you that feeling, THATS BEAUTIFUL!! If any deity of any faith can bring you that feeling….THATS BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Personally, I don’t see my religion as an undeniable truth for everyone. I see it as spiritual connection that brings me love and warmth like no other. I know Lady Aphrodite is real in my heart, because I feel her. I can never give you an equation or a fact that proves my feelings, but I know it’s true in my life. How could you look someone in the eyes and tell them they’ll be punished for seeking love and warmth?
I know I’m just rambling, but I just wish we could live in a world where religion wasn’t a competition of who is right, but a way for us to find more beauty and fulfillment in our worlds.

not spiritual or religious or into manifesting at all but i think holding the belief that things will always work out in the end can be a very helpful outlook if exercised correctly. no matter the missed opportunities, the severed friendships, the pitfalls, the setbacks, the failures, all of it happened as it did for the purpose of helping you get just a little bit closer to your goals. i do not feel pressed at all bc i know if something doesn't fall into place, something better will replace it. there's no such thing as simply "losing." i am either winning or i am growing. and be it through a straight route or a roundabout path, i will still get what i want if i put the effort in and trust the process.

Ninth Lord and from where you will get your Luck.
Ninth house is of religion, father, morality, ritousnes, higher learning, long travels and also of Luck
Planets in ninth house and third house are extremely important for manifestation of your desires, when you allign your energy with the planets sitting in ninth and third House, you will get desires easily in your life.
