Nerve Pains - Lucifer
My Masterlist.
Word count: 2.2k Warnings:  Fibromyalgia flare-up. Symptoms can vary from person to person, this was just a little comfort fic for myself since i’ve been feeling really shitty lately lol
Summary:  Reader suffers from a bad Fibromyalgia flare-up. Usually, Castiel is there to help relieve their pain, but this time there's only one other angel in the bunker.
Tumblr media
I sat at the library table in the bunker, letting out a strained sigh while flexing my hands and straightening my back. It did little, if anything, to ease the constant pain I had. My back and shoulders ached horribly, no matter what I did or what I took. Especially on days when it decided to flare up.
I shifted in my seat as a particularly sharp pain ran into my shoulder, holding back a groan.
I hated being forced to stay back on hunts like this. Sam and Dean knew that, but they also knew me well enough by now that I wouldn't admit it. They could tell when I was experiencing a flare up, and they usually told me that they needed someone to do research and report back to them while they went on the scene. I knew they were just making excuses, but it made me feel a little less guilty about it and I appreciated them for it.
Oftentimes though, it was frustrating more than anything else. Especially simple cases like the salt and burn they were on right now. They didn't need someone to 'stay back and do research' on something as common as a ghost, and I just had to admit defeat. Even they couldn't come up with an excuse this time.
With Sam and Dean gone, and Chuck off doing only Chuck knows what, Lucifer was the only other one in the bunker, but he was off sulking in another part of the bunker. No one had heard from Cas for over a week now, so we figured he was wrapped up in something heaven related; which was unfortunate for me because he was usually around to help relieve the pain on especially bad days like this.
Nobody knew why, not even Cas, but my chronic pain was something he couldn't heal. He could relieve the pain almost completely for an hour, sometimes several if it wasn't really bad, but never get rid of it completely. It even seemed sometimes that it was working less and less every time.
Even with a literal angel helping me, it was still just something I had to deal with.
All I wanted to do was curl up in my bed under a heated blanket and not come out until it was all over. This was one of my worst flare ups in months. Since Sam and Dean had left a day ago, I had already tried praying to Castiel several times. I usually didn't want to bother him, but I was desperate.
I slumped over the table with my head on my tingling arms. My entire body tensed up as another pain ran through me. I eyed the bottle of painkillers next to the lamp, but I knew I had probably already taken way more than I should have. Instead, I closed my eyes and tried to focus on my breathing.
I managed to relax until I heard undisguised footsteps enter the library. I raised my head to glare at the archangel in the doorway. "What do you want?"
"Just passing through, no need to be so hostile." He made a face and held his hands up in defense. He beelined for a certain shelf, and so I allowed myself to let my guard down partially. I returned my eyes back to the pages of the book I was reading, but had a hard time focusing on anything other than the pain.
The thought of asking Lucifer to heal me flitted into my mind but I immediately dismissed it. Maybe he would or maybe he wouldn't, but my pride wouldn't allow me that, even on my worst day.
I glanced up at him when he sat across from me, arching a brow. "What?"
"What?" Lucifer responded defensively. He flipped the book open and crossed his legs. I pinched the bridge of my nose briefly before returning back to my book. My leg bounced to distract me from the numb yet burning sensation that intensified in my feet and calves. I had found that keeping my limbs moving helped either distract me from the pain, or maybe it kept the blood flowing through them. I didn't know.
I sighed after I finished a chapter, releasing some tension from my muscles I didn't even know I had. I flexed my hand again before turning the page, watching Lucifer do the same out of the corner of my eye. Glancing at him curiously, I wondered why he seemed to want to just be in the room with someone else. Usually, it was him that left whenever one of the Winchesters or Chuck came into the room. On the other hand, now that I thought about it, that never seemed to apply to me. But he had never actively seeked my presence before. I averted my gaze back to the book.
Now that I knew he wasn't here just to cause trouble, I finally let myself relax. Unclenching my jaw, I took a deep breath that turned into a hiss when a feeling akin to being stabbed burned through my arm. I jerked, instinctively pulling my arm to my chest and cradling it. I tried to focus on my breathing as the after effects still burned through my nerves.
"What's wrong?" Lucifer asked, looking up from his book. I had completely forgotten about the angel's presence.
"Nothing." I replied through gritted teeth. I let go of my arm and tried my best to shake it off, but my hand still gripped the edge of my sleeve so hard that I could feel my fingernails through the fabric.
He straightened up in his chair, suddenly not so interested in his book anymore; which I realized was written in Enochian. Where did he even find that?
"You've been clenching and unclenching your hands for the past half hour." He began to count on his fingers.
"Bouncing your legs, flinching randomly, now this." He swept his hand towards me, making me self-consciously loosen my grip on my sleeve. "I could sense your misery as soon as I entered the room."
"I'm sure you've noticed me doing that before." I shrugged it off but frowned. I felt exposed. I didn't like feeling like that ever, let alone to the devil.
"Not constantly." He argued. "What's up with you?"
"Nothing." I growled. "Why do you care so much anyway?"
"I don't. I'm just tired of this whole," He made a disgusted face. "Aura around you. It's a real downer, y'know?"
"Then leave." I muttered. He pursed his lips, staring at me silently before he picked his book back up. I let out a sigh of relief and reached for mine. I stopped dead in my tracks when another sharp pain was triggered by the movement, this one even worse than the last. I uttered a low groan, practically panting as it traveled all the way from my fingertips to my shoulder. Everything seemed to ramp it up a notch at that moment.
"Tell me what's wrong." Lucifer demanded.
"It's nothing you can fix." I grunted, beginning to squeeze and massage my forearm with my other hand. It only helped a little.
"Let me." He reached for my arm and before I could pull away, his cool hands began to massage my arm. Against my will, my whole body almost instantly relaxed. Cold usually made the pain worse, but I had a feeling he was using his grace as well. For the first time ever, my pain was entirely gone .
When he released my arm, I was greeted back with open arms by the deep ache in my back and shoulders, a migraine, and the painfully familiar tingling sensation in my limbs. My body immediately tensed up again. I saw something flicker across his face when I cringed.
"Just a taste of what I can do. Though…" He trailed off, frowning. "You're right. I can't heal it."
"Yeah, that's what I thought. Cas already tried that."
"What is wrong with you?" His question wasn't meant to sound accusing; it was genuine.
"Fibromyalgia." I answered, massaging my own arm. He leaned across the table now, crossing his arms. He hummed in acknowledgement, looking down at the table and drumming his fingers.
His eyes darted back up to me when I unconsciously clenched my fist at another jab.
"May I?" He asked. I nodded wordlessly, holding my hand out to him. Instead, he stood from his chair and rounded the table to sit in a chair beside me. I unconsciously leaned away from him and his closeness. He placed his palm on my forehead and immediately the pain lessened.
"Thank you."
He hummed before asking, "How long does this usually last?"
I frowned and looked away. "A while." I didn't want to tell him that it only lasted a few hours at most, and that was on much better days. On days as painful as today it might last a couple of hours, if I was lucky.
"You've got to tell me so I know how long before we have to do this again."
"Don't worry about it." I mumbled. "The pills will kick in by the time this wears off."
He snatched the bottle before I could get to it. "I think you've had enough of those."
"Give it back."
"They're obviously not working. You're going to overdose."
"What do you care?"
"I helped you, didn't I?"
"So?"
"So? I care ." He pursed his lips after that, crossing his arms in front of his chest defensively and looking away.
"...A couple hours." I said in defeat. He glanced back at me. "On a good day it would probably last four, maybe five. On a bad day it would last a couple, if I'm lucky."
"And today's a bad day." It wasn't a question.
I shook my head. "Yes- No..I don't know. It's the worst I've had in a long time, if ever." I admitted.
"You're still bouncing your leg." He pointed out.
"It still kind of hurts."
Before I could react, he pressed his palm to my forehead again. This time, he kept it there until I began to pull away in confusion. "Wait."
Suddenly, the pain was completely gone again. When he pulled his hand away after several moments, his piercing eyes studied my face. I immediately felt it return, but it wasn't nearly as bad as before he had helped at all.
"As long as I'm touching you…" He muttered.
"Yeah, it was gone completely." I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding in. "I think I'm going to try and get some sleep before this wears off."
Lucifer nodded, standing up and mirroring my actions. I stumbled a little bit, the room spinning. Probably from all the painkillers I had taken. "I'll check back in a couple hours."
"I'll come find you if I need to."
He frowned. "I promise?" I offered.
"Don't wait too long." He turned away. He sat back at the table in the same position as before, with his legs crossed and his thumb and index finger holding the book open. I gave him a final glance before I left the room and ventured down the hallway to my bedroom.
I was lucky I had another bottle of painkillers in my bedside drawer, and I downed a couple of them before collapsing onto the bed. I didn't plan on asking him for help again, no matter how bad it got. I had toughed it out before, and I could do it again.
Curling up under my heated blanket, I let out a small sigh of relief. What little bit of discomfort that remained was just about bearable.
-
I was woken up by a sharp pain between my shoulder blades and the middle of my back. I curled up on my side with a low whine. Even the light pressure of my sheets began to feel painful against my skin, and I started to kick them off. Every nerve ending in my body was nearly on fire.
"Lucifer." I groaned in a daze. I hoped it resembled a prayer enough for him to hear. My breath hitched in my throat at another agonizing jab. "Luci-"
I felt a cool hand on my forehead and the pain immediately stopped. I forced my eyes open and the archangel was sitting on the edge of my bed with unmasked concern on his face. "It hasn't even been two hours."
"Sorry." I mumbled.
"That's not what I meant." He said. "You shouldn't be alone."
"'m fine." Lucifer pulled his hand away. Even though he had used his grace to relieve my pain, without his constant touch it immediately came back, though it wasn't nearly as bad. He quickly made contact again, this time holding my hand gently in both of his, as if I would break.
"I think this is the worst it's ever been."
I felt the bed dip next to me, and then I felt him up against my side. I opened my eyes. "What are you-"
"You know what happens if I let go." He muttered. I did.
I leaned against him with a sigh. When I began to drift off, I felt Lucifer drape his arm across my middle.
"You don't have to stay if you don't want to." I told him tiredly.
"I want to."

Their Perfect Date HCs [Angel edition]
Rating: General
Human Edition | Monster Edition
Tumblr media
Please remember: There is strength in softness.
Tumblr media
Cas
Absolutely brings you flowers.
Hear me out: fruit picking!
Something like strawberries
Spend the day outdoors in the sunny weather, chatting, walking, picking and comparing fruits.
Maybe a picnic at the end where you can refuel, and Cas can bask in the sun. Enjoy people/nature watching together.
Then you take him home and make your harvest into something; a pie, wine, jelly/jam.
Put him in a frilly apron and boop flour on his nose, he’s in love.
Cas won’t partake in the consumption, but he’ll enjoy watching you, and earnestly listen to your review.
Gabriel
Brings you chocolates/candy.
(Obviously, he has ideas, plans, and wants of his own, to a dangerous extent but) Gabe at his core just wants to impress you, don’t give him choices because he’s very much a ‘whatever you want’ kinda guy in those scenarios. His ideal date is whatever your ideal date is.
What do you want for dinner? ‘Whatever you fancy sugar’, your wish: my command.’  Do you prefer the red outfit, or the black? ‘I think you look smokin’ in both, pick whatever you feel good in.’ Do you want pasta or pizza? ‘I want a pizza you. Do you want pasta or pizza?’
Plus, he loves simultaneously using indecisiveness to wind you up and to force you to make decisions for yourself, to voice your own wants and needs.
Ultimately though, I think his ideal date would be something surprisingly simple.
Like a coffee date.
Or hot/boozy hot/chocolates and pancakes at a dessert restaurant.
Tell him about your proudest moments, your favourite everything, your biggest adventures, your fondest dreams, so he can soak you in.
He’ll tell you about his own escapades, drops some big names, about his early days on earth, and so on.
Somewhere you can spend hours chitchatting, sharing stories, and getting to know each other, while getting high on sugar and playing footsie under the table.
Jack
Isn’t sure which is most appropriate or which you would like most, so he brings you all the gifts! Chocolate, flowers, soft toys, you name it!
But then he gets nervous and thinks it’s too much, so he only gives you the flowers.
Until you’re halfway through your date, when things are just easy and relaxed. He confesses and gives you the other stuff at the end of your date.
As for the date itself it would be something classic but fun; bowling, mini golf, roller skating.
If it’s score-based, he won’t be competitive, but also will not let you win.
If the venue does food, and you’re struggling to pick he’ll order your second choice so the two of you can split and share.
Will find any excuse to try and hold your hand throughout.
Lucifer
Does not bring a gift. Come on, he’s all the gift you need.
Lucifer is not easy to take on a date. (He’s not easy in any regard really.) Especially when you take into account his distaste for all things human.
If he’s earnestly asked you on a date/agreed to a date, then the only salvageable factor is you. No pressure.
And it's not like he can just fly you away to another galaxy or something, cause you know, human bodies don’t tend to do well in the vacuum of space.
Plus, he’s so contraire you could spend hours listing ideas and he would bat down every single one. (Secretly loving every moment because he gets to spend time with you, making you laugh as he comes up with more and more ridiculous reasons to reject your ideas).
Really though, just take him with you on your daily routine, or even like, your ideal day. Let him bitch about all the humans in the grocery store, let him try your favourite foods, him laugh at the kid who dropped their ice cream, and let him watch you geek out at the book/video/hobby store without embarrassment. Just let him experience your true self, while letting him be his true self.
No policing him, just pure unadulterated freedom with the person he loves.
Michael
Brings you chocolates, but not like fancy ones. Adam advised that gifts were customary in human dating culture, but didn’t specify which kind, so he got you a selection of candy bars, the same kind that Adam seems to enjoy.
Something outdoorsy and active but with a view; Hiking, rock climbing, or even just a long walk on the beach.
Something where you can find a nice place to settle and watch the clouds and/or stars together.
If stargazing, he will teach you about the different constellations, their creation, and their stories.
Will be absolutely enamoured if you already know some of it and are able to have a back-and-forth conversation.
Adam also tried to teach him some other dating tricks, like fake stretching to put his arm around you, but that seems redundant. If he wants to put his arm around you, he will simply do so.
Short circuits a little when you lean in closer and rest your head on his chest/shoulder.

Y/N: Lucifer won’t come out of his room!
Gabriel: Just tell him I said something.
Y/N: Like what?
Gabriel: Anything factually incorrect.
Y/N, shrugging: If you say so.
Lucifer, arriving moments later: Did you just say the sun is a PLANET?

You stared at the man in the trench coat. "An angel. You really expect me to believe that?"
He looked perplexed. After all, he had just appeared inside your house right in front of you. How else could you account for that? "...Yes," he said simply.
Your eyes narrowed. "Aren't you guys supposed to be, like, a spinning wheel of eyes and cyclical wings?" You sounded skeptical.
"My true form would burn your eyes in your skull and cause your soul to splinter. This is just a vessel."
You stared at him again for a long moment. "Fuck off," you said. "I'm too pagan for this shit. Get out of my house..." You actually turned your back on him and started to walk away into the next room. Cas was at a loss. This had never quite happened before. This was new...
"Wait—"
You rounded on him again. "You really expect me to believe that you're some sort of heavenly, super-powered being and your Earth disguise is a dude from probably, like, Ohio and a suit and a trench coat? You look like my dad's financial advisor," you said dryly. "Look, whatever this is, I'm not interested, okay? Thanks for teleporting in, but I'll let you find your own way out... I've got a lot of shit to do for the upcoming equinox..."
Okay... Angel or not, Cas was out of his depth. He needed back-up. Sam and Dean. He needed the Winchesters. He pulled out his phone.
You let out a loud laugh. "A cell phone? This just keeps getting better and better..."
Cas pressed the phone to his ear. Please pick up. Please pick up. Pleeeease pick up.

Omggg hii ok so I've always wanted a fic about what the readers and Castiel's conversation or just interaction in general would be. If the two were already in an established relationship and when Lucifer was possessing Castiel had gotten intimate or something with the reader, not knowing it was Lucifer and thinking it was Castiel of course. What would his reaction be and how would he feel. Especially since he probably had to watch the whole thing go down but could do absolutely nothing about it. How would the two make up and such. <3

“and maybe i don’t quite know what to say but I’m here in your doorway”
Taking a deep breath you leaned back against the headboard of your bed. The book in your lap no longer held your attention as you stared blankly down at it. You didn’t know how to feel about the events which have transpired over the last few days, at first you were angry and then that anger seemed to dissipate into an emptiness mixed with guilt.
Guilt that you’d not paid enough attention to notice that for the past few weeks, Lucifer had been running around in your boyfriend's body. Playing it back in your head now you noticed the strange behaviour but at the moment you’d paid no mind.
“Y/n. We need to talk.” Castiel’s voice brought you out of your head. He stood in the doorway a slight frown on his face. You knew exactly what he wanted to talk about but the whole situation still brought a bad taste to your mouth. He watched you for a moment before letting out a sigh and moving into the room.
Sitting on the edge of the bed he turned to you. “I’m not sure what else to say other than sorry.” The angel looked down at his hands as he spoke. You’d never seen him look as regretful as he did now.
“Why didn’t you say anything to me? We could’ve spoken about it Cas.” You placed your book to the side before crossing your legs. “I basically cheated on you, do you know how that feels.” You let out a sigh before reaching over to grab his hand. “I’m not angry at you, I just…I let him into our space, and I told him things thinking I was talking to you. I let him kiss me Cas, and it’s all I can think about.”
In truth, the guilt had been pretty much eating you alive. The emptiness you felt now came from the fact that the guilt had seemingly taken everything else. He was quiet for a moment before squeezing your hand and looking back up.
His eyes met yours for a moment before he shifted slightly closer. “It’s not your fault what happened. It’s my fault I know that,” He frowned again going quiet. You knew from the look on his face that he was struggling to find the words to express how he felt.
He had his own guilt over the whole situation. Having to sit back and watch someone else pretend to be him and interact with you in that way had left him feeling angry and helpless in a way he’d never experienced before. Seeing how it had affected you though was worse than any guilt he could ever feel.
“I’m willing to work with you.” He finished after a moment. He smiled at you before squeezing your hand again. “Thank you.” You squeezed his hand back. You were both quiet for a moment before you patted the space next to you. The tension from his shoulders seemed to drop at your invite and he happily moved next to you.
This was the first time since Lucifer that you’d both been alone together. A sigh of contentment left you as you settled into his side. You knew things weren’t gonna go straight back to how they were. Castiel had still broken your trust by doing what he’d done but you also knew that he would do anything to regain your trust.
You smiled up at him before leaning up to press a kiss to his lips. A smile graced his lips as your lips met his and for that moment you allowed yourself to forget about the past few weeks.

SUPERNATURAL LUCIFER X FEM!READER
(Reader is referred to as sister)
- You joke around with Lucifer and your brother, Dean, doesn’t like it :)
fluff 😇
1.2k words
Tumblr media
I walked into the room that my brothers were in, "Where's Clarence?"
"Not sure, said he had some angel business to deal with." Dean muttered as he continued to stare at his laptop screen. I sighed and fell down onto one of the chairs "I'm booorreedd." I whined and nobody said anything, "Ok I guess I'll go annnd.." I paused while I thought about what to do, "Find a case." Normally they would 'advise' not to because it could be dangerous on my own, but they didn't even look up. Maybe I should elaborate, "Actually you know what? I'm gonna go find a vamps nest." Ok they definitely wouldn't let me go alone. But I still got no answer.
"Ignore everything I just said, I can't be bothered. I think, I'm just gonna go talk to one of the angels." I hoped that would get their attention considering they dislike most of them. "Hey, I should go talk to the devil, I mean he's probably pretty lonely." Ok that must have gotten there attention. Nope, still nothing.
Alright well, "Lucifer. You know? Satan?" That caught their attention and Dean glared at me but I smiled innocently. Sam looked at me over his laptop, "What? Sorry, I'm just trying to figure this out and I feel like I haven't slept in years, did you say something about Lucifer? Has something happened?" I could tell I hit a bit of a nerve by mentioning his name but how else was I supposed to get their attention. "No, well yes I said I should go talk to him 'cause he's probably lonely." I smiled innocently at them again but they didn't look very happy.
"Don't even joke about that. I don't want you anywhere near him." I could tell Dean was serious but I didn't understand why. Well, I did, I knew why. He's killed people, he wanted Sam as a vessel, he tried to start the apocalypse and he is Satan. But I know a side to Lucifer that they don't, a side to him that's not all death and destruction.
I was about to speak but I felt the temperature drop. I saw the panic in Sams face and Dean reached for his gun by instinct. "You called, darling?" Oh joy, Lucifer is here.
"What a pleasant surprise." I turned to face him with the fakest, most cheesiest grin I could manage. "You were thinking off me so damn much that it basically came to me like a prayer, why were you thinking about me, Y/N?" He smirked as he walked closer to us and I rolled my eyes. "I was thinking about how much of an ass you are, my brothers here were agreeing." I smirked right back at him and he scoffed "I know you like me really and you enjoy my company more than anyone else's, you're not fooling anyone." He shrugged slightly like what he had just said was painfully obvious.
"Ok that's enough, I can't take it anymore. Lucifer what the hell are you doing here, really?" Dean looked pretty mad that I was joking around with the devil but who can blame me, he's quite funny when he's not trying to start world war three.
"You act like I'm about to try and start the apocalypse Deany, I mean c'mon, I'm totally over all that now." He smiled like he just told Dean he'd bought him some flowers and baked him a cake. "Right of course, I'm sorry for assuming the worst from the literal devil, you must've just popped in to give me chocolate and watch a movie with us." Dean spoke sarcastically and Lucifer pretended to be offended and shook his head. "Wow. I know you don't like me, but that was harsh. I mean, I really did come here to watch a movie. Not with you exactly, but that is the reason. I can't believe you think so lowly of me Deano." Lucifer matched Deans sarcastic tone and it just pissed my brothers off even more, meanwhile I found it to be good entertainment.
"First of all, stop adding letters onto my name. Secondly, if you mean that you came to watch a movie with my sister? You can forget it. I won't let you get anywhere near her." Aaaaaand protective brother mode is officially on. "I'm already near her." Lucifer scoffed as he walked closer to me and threw his arm around my shoulders. "Dude get your big ass arm off of me." I tried to shrug his arm off but he added another arm so he was giving me a really weird side hug, successfully trapping me in his arms.
However before I could complain anymore, a sudden gunshot echoes throughout the room and it makes me flinch. Lucifer let go of me with a grunt. "Ouch." He pouted like a child that didn't get his own way.
I turned to look at him and realised that Dean had shot him. "Was that really necessary, Dean? I can handle myself against big ole pouty satan over here." I felt him poke me at the insult so I looked back at him to see him still pouting and I giggled. "Yes. It was completely necessary. I told him that I wasn't gonna let him near you, Y/N. I don't like how close you two seem, all buddy-buddy and shit, it's not right. Has he got you under some sorta spell? Do you need help, Y/N? 'Cause I definitely do not have a problem with killing the devil himself." Dean looked between the two of us practically giggling like a pair of school girls.
"Yes Dean, he has me under a very powerful spell." He didn't look impressed with my sarcasm. "Whatever, but you hurt her and I swear I will find a way to end you." And with that promise he left the room. We both looked at Sam and it was pretty awkward for a second before he cleared his throat "Yeah, Well I- erm- I need to carry on with this, so.." He got up and walked out with his laptop.
"Wow. You know, you could be here to kill me and both of my brothers just left me to be murdered." I joked and turned around to face him.
"You know I'd never hurt you though, right? You are one of the very very few humans I can tolerate." His smirk was replaced with a genuine smile as he looked down at me. "I know." I nodded and it was quite for a moment as I looked at him, taking in his features. Damn, his eyes are so pretty and his hair looks so fluffy, I want to just run my hands through it so fucking bad.
"So," I cleared my throat like I was trying to get rid of the tension in the room. "What movie do you wanna watch, Luci?" My eyes widened slightly as I realised what I had called him, but it was too late, he had already heard it. "'Luci' huh?" I was about to start apologetically rambling before I noticed a grin spread across his face. "I like it, but only from you. I don't want some demon walking around calling me 'Luci ', it'll ruin my reputation." He chuckled, "Oh and I'm 99.9% sure that you forgot I can read your thoughts, your eyes are pretty too." His smirk was back as he cockily walked out of the room, leaving me stood on my own in embarrassment.

I genuinely cannot tell anymore if I'm reading this much fics because I've just been attached to destiel and supernatural for that long/that intensely or because the fanfiction pool is so deep here that it's technically an ocean at this point with multiple self-sustaining ecosystems.

Guardian Angel - Lucifer
My Masterlist.
Word count: 2.2k
Warnings: Injury, canon typical violence/gore. Lucifer is good(ish) au, like it or leave it.
x gender neutral reader, hurt/comfort, enemies to allies
Summary: Who knew the devil could be a guardian angel?
Tumblr media
"Where is this?" I demanded, spinning around to face the angel Zachariah. I had been in the middle of a demon case but after the sound of fluttering feathers and my salt line blowing away, a hand grabbed my shoulder roughly and I now found myself somewhere completely different.
Taking in my surroundings, the place was light and elegant-or gaudy, depending on who you asked- and clean. A long table was lined with food and drink, but my narrowed eyes came to rest on the bald man in a suit several feet away from me.
"What do you want?" I backed away from him slowly, my hand coming to rest on the demon blade at my hip. I knew it couldn't hurt him, and I didn't have anything that could.
"I need you to tell me where Micheal's vessel is."
"Do you think I'm an idiot?" I retorted. "Besides, I haven't even had contact with them for weeks at this point. They're off the map."
Zachariah brought his hand up before clenching his fist, and I suddenly felt my heart seize in my chest. I dropped to my knees, clawing at my chest and glaring up at him.
"Find them yourself, you bastard angel." I hissed.
He took a step towards me, and then another. I hastily scrambled back. With a swift kick, he sent me flying into the wall. I felt my bones crack and I fell to the floor with a thud. A groan escaped my lips, my breaths ragged and shallow. He hauled me up by my collar so I was eye level with him.
"Where. Is. Dean. Winchester?" He punctuated each word with a blow to the side of my head. I was seeing spots by now, and I was lucky to still be conscious.
Blood had pooled in my mouth, and I spit it in his face with a bloody grin. "No chance." I rasped out. "You can torture me all you want, but you have no other leverage over me."
Frustrated, he released me, and my body dropped limply onto the floor once again. I couldn't keep my eyes from shutting, my breath rattling in my throat.
"This is all very unnecessary. Tsk, tsk, tsk."  I heard a smooth voice. I struggled to force my eyes open, but my vision was too blurry anyways.
"Lucifer." Zachariah's voice was as threatening as it could be, given the situation. Although he was high up in the ranks of heaven, the archangel could smite him with next to no effort.
Their voices faded in and out. I tried to make myself as small as possible; a small, hopeful part of me desperately wishing they would just forget I was there entirely. I heard a snap, and something told me to open my eyes. The archangel had exploded Zachariah into nothing, and he was now looking directly at me.
With my back already up against a wall, there was nothing I could do except to curl my arms around my middle defensively. I sucked in a sharp breath when my hand brushed against my ribcage. It was definitely bruised beyond a few potent painkillers.
The devil kneeled beside me. "I don't know where they are." I mumbled. I gasped, my breath rattling in my chest. I tried my best to cough, but it only came out as small huffs of air.
"I'm not worried about that."
"Then what do you want from me?" My voice was quiet.
"Nothing." He said simply.
"You're going to kill me now, aren't you?"
He frowned, but didn’t answer.
"Just get it over with." I said bravely, but when he reached to place his fingers on my forehead, I couldn't stop myself from flinching away from the contact, my breath hitching in my throat.
I briefly felt the touch of his cool fingers. My eyes rolled to the back of my head, and everything was dark.
-
When I awoke, I was back in the dilapidated cabin I had shut myself in. I laid there for a moment, remembering what had happened and now realizing that I could breathe without difficulty. Tentatively, I tested each of my limbs, then I finally sucked in a deep breath. There was no pain.
I tiredly swung my legs over the side of the bed, healed, but still feeling incredibly weak. Lucifer had healed me, I wondered. He had zapped me back here and healed me. He hadn't killed me. There had to be a reason, he had to have some other use for me.
Almost as if thinking about the fallen angel was enough to summon him, I heard a flutter of wings, and the pages of a dusty notepad on the bedside waved slightly. I pushed myself to my feet at the sound, instinctively on guard. My vision was filled with white for a split second as I leaned against the wall.
"You're awake, I see." The devil's voice said approvingly. "And feisty as ever."
He sauntered around the bed, forcing me to back away from him. Eventually my legs hit the back of a sofa, and I stumbled to a halt.
"How are you feeling?" Lucifer asked, cooking his head to the side. I just shook my head. I was still weak enough to be struggling to stand on my own.
"Why did you help me?" I countered. My back was up against the other wall, mostly for support, because he hadn't moved past the sofa.
"I was feeling…Generous." He crossed his arms. "A thank you would be nice."
"I'm sure you had your reasons." I said suspiciously.
An arrogant smile crossed his face. "Of course I do. But that's for me to know and, well, you know."
"Oh and, by the way, you might want to watch your back."  And he was gone as quickly as he had come.
"Thanks." I muttered into the empty room.
-
I had allowed myself a day to rest and recover, while still doing research in connection with the case. Afterwards, it went how I had expected it to, save for yet another beating I could have gone without. It was nothing major.
I was tending to my wounds in the bathroom, watching in the dirty mirror as I stitched up the gash on my arm. I quickly ducked my head to bite the thread in two, and when I looked in the mirror again, I jumped.
"Lucifer, what the hell-" I hissed, spinning around to face him. He immediately grabbed me by the arm, but before he could teleport us out, I yanked my arm out of his grip. I cursed when the action tore the stitches I had just finished.
"What's going on?" I demanded.
"Angels. They've found out where you are." He informed me."They're on their way."
I was in the room now, and even though I knew he wasn't exactly trustable, I found myself subconsciously looking for my angel blade. "How do you know?" I tucked it into my waistband.
He huffed in frustration, but answered my question anyway. "Angel radio."
"I think I'll just stay here and fight. Thanks for the heads up." I took a hunting knife out of my boot and sliced across my left arm. I felt the devil's eyes on my back as I began to draw the angel banishing sigil on a wall.
"We don't have time for this." He snapped, reaching for me again. I dodged him with a glare.
"I'm not going anywhere with you." I said lowly.
"That," He pointed to the sigil I had just finished. "Isn't going to work. And neither is that blade. We're talking about another archangel here."
At the mention of an archangel, I froze, twisting to meet his gaze. "What do they want with me?"
Lucifer seemed glad to finally have my attention. "What do you think?"
Our heads both snapped up at the sound of fluttering wings. I instinctively backed up, bumping right into Lucifer in the process. His reaction was quick and unexpected; he stepped around and in front of me, shoving me behind him and putting himself between me and the new archangel in the room.
"Brother." He greeted, though his voice was far from being happy to see the other angel.
"Lucifer." Raphael said formally. "You know why I am here."
"No." His answer was short and even, but I could see the tension in his posture now.
"Step out of the way. We must find the Winchesters so that the apocalypse may begin."
"They have nothing on their whereabouts, believe me." His voice was becoming more strained, and if I hadn't been behind him, I would have seen the way his eyes began to glow red in warning. Raphael took a step forward.
In one swift movement, he swung at Lucifer, who ducked and countered with another swing. Raphael met his blow, and managed to gain the upper hand. Lucifer could have taken him easily, but with me behind him, he fought defensively.
I waited for an opening. Even though the angel blade couldn't kill the archangel, I hoped it might drag his attention away from Lucifer long enough for him to regain the upper hand. I thrust the blade forward into the middle of Raphael's back.
He shoved away from Lucifer, turning to me and a murderous look in his eyes. I staggered back, just as an invisible force sent me flying into the wall. I crumpled to the floor, shoving myself to my elbows and watching as he pulled the blade out without even flinching. Lucifer’s eyes darted between his brother and I.
"I can tell you where the Winchesters are." I groaned out through gritted teeth, desperately trying to keep his attention away from the devil, who was now drawing a sigil on the wall.
Raphael grabbed me roughly by the collar, lifting me to my feet and swinging me around. Lucifer, froze with his hand in the air, poised to activate the sigil.
"Let them go." His voice was low and dangerous.
I was yanked back into him, and the angel blade was pointed at my chest.  "I'll have them stabbed clean through before you can banish me." My eyes met Lucifer's, urging him to activate the sigil. If the archangel escaped with me in tow, there would be things worse than death planned for me.
Lucifer slammed his hand in the middle of the sigil, simultaneously I felt a white hot pain in my chest. A blinding light filling the room. My body dropped to the floor with a dull thud and all I knew at the moment was pain. I gasped for air, my eyes wide in panic now that the light had faded. It was only a split second before I saw Lucifer above me.
I tried to gargle out something, I wasn't sure what, but he silenced me. "Don't talk." He ordered, but his voice wasn't harsh. I settled for grasping at his hands instead when he wrapped one around the handle of the blade that was embedded in my lungs. It shifted ever so slightly, triggering another spasm of pain.
"I have to take this out to heal you." He informed me, seeing the fear in my eyes. It took everything I had not to fight against him as he began to pull the blade out, as carefully as possible. I couldn't sense anything but white hot agony, but I was sure something resembling a scream tore out of my throat.
As soon as the blade was out, a wave of warmth washed over my entire body, washing away the pain with it. I gasped, shoving myself upright. My eyes darted around before meeting Lucifer's, my chest heaving.
I struggled to my feet, and the angel was supporting me as soon as I stood, leading me over to the bed and pushing me back onto it. Adrenaline still pumped through my veins, and my heart was still beating out of my chest. It took everything in me to even begin to calm myself down.
After several minutes, I was still shaking and hyperventilating. Lucifer sat patiently in the chair at the bedside the entire time, watching me closely until he decided to intervene. My eyes darted over to him when he stood. His movements were deliberately slow as he sat next to me and tentatively pulled me into an awkward embrace.
I couldn't believe this was the devil himself, but that was the last thing on my mind at the moment. It took another several minutes for me to calm down completely and finally relax into his side, but the effect began to take place immediately. I wasn't sure if it was my body reacting to the comfort of 'human' contact, or if it was an effect of his grace, but I was grateful.
"I'm okay." I finally said, pulling away from him. He let me, but still kept his hand on the small of my back.  "Thank you." I said genuinely. At that, his arm wound around my shoulders and pulled me into him again, and I thought I felt his lips in my hair.
"You are one of the few worth protecting." He murmured.

Could you make a little story for Castiel where he meets a young mute girl who communicates through ASL?
Castiel meeting and befriending a mute reader
warnings: Cursing, fluff, angsty (very little) A/n: I am not mute but I am familiar with people I know personally who are deaf and use sign language. Also, I have not watched supernatural in a good while so I don't remember what all powers angels have so some of these might be inaccurate from the show.

This was unexpected for the angel. One second, he's strolling around a town him, Sam, and Dean had stopped at to investigate a large number of murders that have been occurring to sitting on a swing set with a little girl sitting beside him in a park, making hand motions.
She was mute.
He didnt know what these hand motions meant but he was easily able to understand once he read her mind. It was as if she was saying what each meaning of the sign meant as she moved her hands and fingers without moving her lips. He could hear her voice but only in her own conscious.
"Where is your parents? Or guardian?" he asked as he tilted his head with curiosity and concern. The reminder of why he was there in the first place brought him out of his thoughts as worry soon became present on his face. It was safe for someone to be out here on their own, especially a young one at that.
A childish smile appears on your face as you quickly point over to a food truck a few feet away. Your guardian chatting with the owner, their back facing you. Castiel looks to where you were pointing before looking back over at you. The concern slowly leaving his features but not completely gone.
"You be careful when you are out of arms reach from your guardian. Understand?"
You bob your head up and down in response, giving him a thumbs up for more confirmation at his words. Castiel was still a little skeptical at the thought of whatever or whoever has been behind the killings find you and pick you off as a easy target. Many questions started appearing in his head. How would you scream for help? What if no one seen you get taken? What if you cant free yourself from their grasp?
You could see his brows furrow as his eyes drifting toward the dirt in thought. Whatever was on this strange man's mind must've been big as lines formed on his forehead and the corner of his eyes crinkled slightly. You place a hand on the trench coat he adored, even though it was summer time. You started rubbing the fabric between your fingertips, the action making Castiel look down at your hand and then at your face. You suddenly stop the action, staring into his deep colored eyes as well. You thought he had very beautiful eyes. This made a soft smile form on his lips which made your eyes widen. You didnt say that aloud did you? No, that's impossible. Unless?
'Are you a angel?' you signed, this time slower.
The smile on Castiel's face grows as he slowly nods his head, raising his index finger and putting in to his lips as if you both were sharing a secret. Before you could react, your name was shouted. You spun your head around to see your guardian walking over toward you, a hotdog wrapped in tinfoil in each hand. When they finally get close enough you sign,
'I made a friend'
"oh really?" they look around the park curiously before back down at you.
"Where is this friend of yours?"
You turn around expecting to see the man in the trench coat, but he wasn't there. The empty swing was slowly rocking back and forth but no one was there. A wave of confusion and sadness washed over you as your guardian just shrugged it off, taking a seat on the swing the stranger had been, handing you a hotdog.
Back at the bunker, Castiel was sitting in one of the many chairs in the library with his chin propped up on his hand. His back was slumped as he sat in thought. He wanted to protect you. He wanted to be there for you when you needed him. He wanted to be your friend. Dean and Sam finally came back, walking down the stairs and quickly spotting the angel they had been trying to contact.
"Hey man, where the hell did you go? You just wandered off and left us!" Dean was quick to jump on the angels case but he wasn't in the mood to hear any of it and quickly disappeared.
"The hell was that all about?" Castiel left the brothers both confused and concerned.

"Castiel, you let me out of here right now!" You hands were balled into fists and angry and frantic tears stung your eyes.
Cas stood resolutely by the door, which was locked in some way beyond the heavy mechanical deadbolt and doorknob. "I can't do that. I'm sorry," came the angel's voice, gentle and sympathetic but firm.
"Cas, they could—they could get hurt and it'd be because of me. You have to let me go!" you were nearly crying now, so desperate was your desire to get out of that room and do anything you could to stop what was happening.
The lines on Cas's forehead deepened. "I'm sorry. I can't. When I said I would protect you, I meant from anyone who would do you harm... even yourself. And that's the only thing that would happen if I let you charge in now."
You swore under your breath and sank down on the nearest chair, putting your head in your hands.
Cas's chest ached as he watched your distress. "Everything is going to be okay. I promise."
Prompt: "When I said I would protect you, I meant from anyone who would do you harm... even yourself."
