You are kidnapped by CW execs, hold on a gunpoint and asked to write a script for Supernatural season 16. What's gonna be the plot?

They don't even have to kidnap me to do this, I'd do it for free. I'd pay THEM to let me do it.

Dean and Sam are still stuck in one of Chuck's mindgames and that he has Jack stashed away somewhere. Dean poking at the walls parallel universes in SPNWN was the beginning of him figuring out that there's something amiss, and Jack's ooc behavior regarding it. Is like. The final nail in the coffin (no pun intended).

The first half of the season would be Dean and Sam splitting up in Heaven to connect with previous spn characters who have died. Sam finds Mary, Bobby, Ellen, Jo, Ash, and then has a sideplot where he runs into Jess and gets closure regarding that. Dean runs into Charlie, Victor, John, and Kevin (to name a few). I really really would love some satisfying conflict between Dean and John, and I would like Sam and Mary to actually Interact and have opinions about each other.

The end of the first arc is Dean finding Jack, so we can get some delicious interactions between the two of them (pls let Jack actually have a Reaction to Cas being dead), and so that they can go absolutely balls-to-the-wall crazy by agreeing to the same stupid, dangerous plan to open the Empty and get Cas back.

Anyway, part 2 of the season is the gang all getting together, dodging Chuck, who starts bringing Angels back to go after Dean and Sam. Dean tells Sam that the plan is to open the Empty and dump Chuck in there, but doesn't mention that he and Jack are also going to jump into the Empty to save Cas (bc Sam would stop him and also I love it when Dean lies to Sam's face). The plan goes stupid bc Sam figures out what's going on and all three of them end up in the Empty.

I don't have exactly any set ideas for how the rest of this happens, but I need them to interact with Crowley and I need Sam and Ruby interactions. Somehow they do a Chuck/Cas Empty swap and get Cas back. I would introduce a new mechanic that the only way to get Cas out of the Empty is to wake him up (the Empty actually gets him to sleep) and so they have to go through Cas's mind to wake him. Jack gets to use his powers and like beam Dean into Cas's mind and I get a self indulgent sexy recap of every single regret that Cas has ever had flashing in front of Dean's eyes.

Anyway something something Dean finds Cas in the barn where they met on earth, something something Cas tells him to leave him there and then obviously Dean gets to say "don't you think you deserve to be saved" and it's vomit inducing. Just as Castiel wakes up, so does the Empty and shit hits the fan.

Cas tries to play mr self sacrifice to get everyone out, but Dean won't let him bc he's sick of that shit. The portal Jack opened is closing, but last minute Dean grabs Cas and their soul/grace interact, recharging Cas back to full power and he flies them out.

Something something, Chuck gets chucked (lmao) into the Empty, something something, Michael/Adam was involved this season, something something either Michael, Amara, or whoever the fuck is in charge of Heaven and not Jack because he deserves to be a normal person without that insane responsibility.

Dean retires and opens a bar, Sam continues hunting and expands the hunter network (and Samwena canon bc istg 🔫), Cas and Jack dont hunt, dont not hunt, but do a secret third thing (commit funny felonies).

Also Destiel canon sex scene. If Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins can hump on stage in front of us, they can take their pants off for a pg-13 sex scene on my monster show.

That's the BROAD strokes of what I would want for a s16. If we're pretending that there are more seasons after s16, then all of that would go a little differently and I wouldn't have Dean quit hunting.

Alternative answer is that I'd submit Shal's s15 finale fix-it fic for a supernatural movie directed by Jensen Ackles.

okay so @monstermoviedean is watching s14 rn and her takes are god tier!!! and you should all go read her blog please!

but it just makes me want to talk about lebanon/14.13 so much! like it really is one of my favorite episodes of spn. which is crazy i know because i truly hate john with every fiber of my being but i think this episode reveals so much about him & dean's relationship with him with delicious subtly!

and i've yapped at random on twitter about this but i want to gather all my thoughts in one place.

dean's relationship with john is The most important relationship in spn that i'm interested in unpacking. (i am normal and fine and this has nothing to do with my own issues)

i think for some people who understand john as abusive, it is frustrating and jarring to see him come back after so many years and just be kinda nice. especially given that dean has just finally started to talk to his family about some of the bad things john did.

i maintain that dean has been pretty clear with cas and like random strangers that his dad was shitty. but in 14.11, he tells mary the winchester surprise story. while he doesn't frame the story as truly a critique of john, it is a contrast to his quiet silence and pained expression after newly-resurrected mary says john was a good father in 12.02. in 14.12, dean opens up to sam about how when john was pissed off at dean, he would send him away. this is a stark new light on dean's comments from 7.14 where he apologizes to sam for sometimes "ditching him" when they were kids. sam quickly shuts down dean's apology in 14.12 and subsequent discussion about dean's regrets and feelings about john. but since sam's shift in his opinion about john in 2.02, dean pretty consistently keeps his criticism to himself in front of sam so this is a marked change. and the very next episode script draft includes the infamous "probably pulled the wide-eye hitchhiker routine. dad made me do it all the time on hunts. as bait." so, given the episodes and revelations that bookend 14.13, it's understandable how hard it is to see john and dean interact at all.

but i think it's perfect! because it so clearly shows every truth of their relationship.

firstly, we can look at who john apologizes to. in 1.16, 1.20, and 14.13 john is reunited with sam & dean after time apart. and in all three episodes, he apologizes and/or works to make amends with sam for their fractured relationship. in fact, in 14.13, it's a mention of the winchester surprise that triggers john's apology to sam.

in contrast, the only time john apologizes to dean for his childhood is 2.01 when he says sorry for making dean always have to look after him and sam. and then promptly asks him to kill sam if he has to.

it's crushing to me that at no point does john see the way he treated dean as anything to make amends for. instead, in 1.21 and 14.13, he frames dean not "having a home" or "having a family," "a normal life" as circumstances outside his control or as somehow dean's choice. and yet, john is entirely responsible. he is the one moving dean from school to school, getting him into credit card fraud, taking him on hunts. in 12.09 it's established that dean has as long arrest/warrant record which includes things we never see him getting arrested for in canonical spn. he is the one who always said hunting was temporary (6.02) and yet never allowed for a way out. so even though john's affect is kinder, we know he isn't meaningfully taking accountability for a huge amount of his actions.

it's the reason for the kinder affect we can look at next. because what is one of the most common indicators of abusive dynamics? treating people differently in public vs private. and critically for almost all of 14.13, mary is observing john. and we know that despite their marital problems (5.16), she considered him a good father. he doesn't know that the life he forced sam and dean into is the very worst thing she could have imagined for her children (4.03), but we can tell from his apologies to sam that john is at least aware of things he did which he regrets.

before mary arrives, he is giving sam and dean orders, "You boys better tell me what the hell is going on right now." i recognize he's very disoriented but this affect disappears entirely after mary shows up. i cannot overstate how much i love how not stern and harsh john is here because it shows that he could have always chosen to be like that. but there weren't negative consequences (a wife who might be angry with him) to face.

i've said before that i think one of the reasons that john kept sam & dean away from hunter gatherings and meeting other hunters (2.03, 12.06) is because hunters they met might have acted exactly how dean acts to krissy's dad in 7.11 and told him to quit. the hunters/community john did maintain relationships with were sometimes kinda shitty people - Deacon (2.19), Travis (4.04), Martin (8.09). not that Bobby, Caleb, Pastor Jim, Bill Harvell, Daniel Elkin were necessarily like that but I do think its worth looking at who John's friends who he didn't have a falling-out with were. Like Fred Jones who gave Sam & Dean their first beers when they weren't even 10 (8.08).

some other details about that first reunion kitchen conversation that always stick out to me are john finishing the drink dean pours for him while dean & sam barely touch theirs. it's also significant to me that dean tells mary in 12.01 that john died to save him. but here, he tells john that he died taking out yellow-eyes (which is literally not what happened. like specifically he died by making a deal with azazel). dean, always working to deescalate and maintain the peace, instantly clocks which thing they will each find more soothing to hear.

one thing that i see people often critique is the idea that john coming back is somehow the thing dean wished for the most. but what dean actually says is that this is something he's wanted since he was four years old. so it's really not about john back at all. john died when dean was 27. but mary died when dean was four. and that cause nearly every hard, traumatic, awful thing in dean's life. to some extent, i think it was about wanting john to have mary back. throughout dean's entire life, john used the loss of mary as an excuse for how he acted and what he made dean & sam do. so of course what dean wants most is... for that not to have happened.

and this brings my to my second favorite part of the episode. but you'll only catch if you're paying attention. dean says he's thrilled to have john back and yet at every chance he gets, he leaves the room john's in. he leaves the kitchen when john reunites with mary. dean gets the grocery list from mary while john has a tearful apology with sam. dean talks to john again only because he has to tell him about the pearl but then leaves to help cook. after dinner, he goes to do the dishes. dean really is not actually trying to spend time with john - even when they get a deadline for when their time with him is over, dean is not trying to make the most of it. and god i love him for that.

i sympathize with people who are frustrated to see dean fall back into the role of caretaker for john's emotions and wellbeing. and i agree but i appreciate that it is very clear that's what's happening. he's performing the role he's always been forced to perform. he may be more aware of it as a performance this time. he may be taking more steps to remove himself from having to interact with john. but i would almost feel worse if he wasn't getting john a drink, doing what he said, going on little errands, cooking, cleaning up. john says "You want to give your mom a hand?" and of course he goes.

i think dean always has held both deep hurt from and empathy for john and this episode is full of both of them. and while i think it's always hard to hear dean slip back into those moments of empathy (8.12 is always rough for me), it's so real that's where he would be sometimes. so much of being a child who's made responsible for your parent's emotions means that there is such a deep part of you that wants to protect them from harm.

i personally think the song "til it shines" by bob seger is an insane choice to play over their dinner scene. because, though that's not the part of the song that plays, the lines "Take the chip off of my shoulder. Smooth out all the lines. Take me out among the rustling pines, till it shines, ah, till it shines" always strike me as trying to see something through rose-tinted glasses in a way. or maybe acknowledging the performative, white-washing that's being done?

anyway, i understand why people want dean to have a cathartic yelling session with john. but honestly im not sure that would ever sit right with me. i think honestly 14.13 is kind of perfect. john comes back and it proves everything. john could always be kind (he took you to a freaking baseball game (4.19)). he could always apologize. he always did say he wanted the boys to get out of hunting but never even tried to make it happen.

and that brings me to my favorite part of the episode. my darling. my baby. my treasure. dean says, "i have a family." and what that means to him is his own. he gets to keep it. he gets to mean it without john's scrutiny. without him tearing it apart. the conversation sam & dean have over dishes is another deeply meaningful part. dean specifically rejects the idea of telling john the truth about any of it - even if it would change things. because he's good with who he is. "Cause our lives – they’re ours."

this matters so much to me because i don't think dean's healing can ever be contingent on john - not on his reaction, not on finally telling him the truth, not on john getting comeuppance for all the shit he did, not even on changing the past so john has more information because the critical thing that 14.13 and 4.19 show is that john literally did not do the best he could. so what could change that?

in the kitchen, dean tells sam that he blamed john for "the longest time". do you understand how much it means to me to hear him say that?! because i think of course blaming john is the first step! dean was hurt and he was angry about that and he should be!

but dean's healing can't just stop there. while i know there will be moments as he heals where he's angry with john again, the beautiful core of dean's healing i see in 14.13 is him being clear on where the boundary of him and his wants, goals, needs, and priorities are vs john's. i think a lot of dean's young relationship with john was him being forced to keep parts of himself (the parts that didn't like to hunt for example) secret out of shame and necessity. but here, i don't think dean is carrying that shame anymore. he is very clear on how what he wants from his life differs from what john would want but dean sticks to his own values. he has a family. he's good with who he is. it's just none of john's goddamn business.

anyway, as always mitski says it best....

Bobby or Ellen, or even John if it’s early enough and you jive with that, gives them the task. you’re important and need to get to [ blank ] location safely, but monsters/demons are hunting you. of course, the route to your destination can be as long as you want, and i’m sure they’ll wanna keep you by the end of it

⋆˙⟡ you are an important piece of the puzzle when it comes to Lucifer, Michael and the seals breaking. Castiel plucks you out of your life (whatever that may be) and drops you smack into the middle of the Winchester’s life. they don’t want you there, and you don’t wanna be there—Castiel tells you that you’re gonna work with them, and if you can all stop the seals from breaking, you can go home and everyone gets what they want

⋆˙⟡ they’re going on a big hunt for a demon (think yellow-eyes. multiple states, multiple sources to hunt down this one demon) that has a personal connection to you. because of your vendetta/personal interest, they bring you with them on this one hunt (maybe you’re so useful you stay longer, hm)

⋆˙⟡ the ability you have (if you have one, you know) makes you objectively too helpful to leave behind. perhaps a psychic ability, intuition or something similar. when you end up helping them on one hunt and save their asses, they begrudgingly realize that your abilities are something they’re severely lacking in their arsenal

⋆˙⟡ you’re a runaway, though your family/friends/locals think you were the victim of a demon or monster. the Winchesters search for you during their hunt, and manage to find you, but you beg them not to make you go back to town. when you hear they’re heading to another state, you plead with them to give you a ride just that far—a day’s drive, maybe. they agree because they feel bad for you, but some sequence of events keeps you with them

August, 2006 South Dakota

The cicadas screamed like static in the summer air–sharp, constant, like the world had a pulse and it was racing. The heat clung to her skin in a thick, invisible sheet. Lena blinked hard against the sun slicing through the tree canopy, dappled light dancing across her face.

She was on the ground.

For a second, she didn’t move. Just lay there, her heart pounding, her lungs tight. The sharp, earthy scent of pine needles and rusted metal filled her nose. She sat up slowly. Her body ached from the shift, the crossing. Muscles stiff. Knees bruised. She looked around–and felt it like a punch to the chest. She knew this place.

The edge of the trees opened into wreckage: rusted car husks stacked like forgotten corpses, shattered windshields catching the sun like glass teeth. Tires sagged in their steel frames. The world looked post-apocalyptic in a way that made her stomach twist with recognition.

Her fingers closed around the strap across her chest–her bag. Her messenger bag. Thick canvas, worn leather, scratched buckles. She didn’t know how it had come with her… but it had.

She opened it with shaky hands. Phone. No signal. Still frozen on 11:28PM. Battery at 52%. Her fingers. Rings still in place. Crystal bracelets cool against her wrist. Her necklaces–particularly a silver charm, a tiny quartz pendant–resting against her collarbone like proof. Her clothes: fitted navy t-shirt, dark jeans, leather boots scuffed but solid, red jacket dusted in pine needles and dirt.

The same outfit she’d fallen asleep in without meaning to while studying for a grad school class. But none of it mattered. Not really. Because this time–

She remembered.

Every moment. Every breath. The motel rooms. The hunts. The blood. Sam’s soft steadiness. Dean’s mouth on hers. The feeling of being held like she was rare. Like she was his. Like she was home . The phantom ache in her chest tightened.

She hadn’t remembered the first time. Not really. Not when she was sixteen and stranded in 1993 with no memory and two half-grown Winchesters looking at her like she might explode.

She hadn’t remembered the second time, either. There were gut instincts. Deja vu. The flicker of something beneath her skin she couldn’t name. Missouri had known. Told her: “ Your lifeline splits again. Sooner than you’d like .”

And then–like clockwork–she was gone. Again. Torn out of that world like a thread yanked from a sweater.

And this time, it had been four years.

Four years of not sleeping right. Of watching herself from a distance in a world that felt too clean, too fake. Of therapy sessions that left her hollow. Of Googling “parallel realities” at 2AM. Of clinging to anything that might explain how you could love two people who didn’t even exist. Of the night terrors. The blackouts. The quiet, crushing fear that she was just crazy .

Four years of wondering if he still remembered her name. And now–without warning–she was back. And she remembered. Everything.

Lena shoved the phone back into her bag. Her heart stuttered when her eyes landed on the laminated cover of the script she’d left on her bed back in Chicago:

Of course. Because the universe had a sense of humor. Or none at all.

She stood. Wobbled. Brushed dirt from her jeans and from her jacket sleeves. The sun blazed high and brutal now, and sweat trickled down her spine. Her boots crunched across gravel and old glass as she crested the hill.

There it was. The crooked, rusted sign bolted above the gate: Singer Auto Salvage.

Lena’s breath caught. Her eyes burned. She wasn’t dreaming. She was back.

And this time… She was going to fight like hell to stay.

Somewhere beyond the trees, speakers blared muffled rock–AC/DC, she was sure–distorted just enough to sound like a memory half-remembered. The metallic clink of tools echoed through the hot summer air. Something was being repaired. Or rebuilt. Or mourned.

The scent of motor oil hung thick–cut with dust, metal, old wood, and a storm that hadn’t broken yet. Beneath the Impala’s open hood, Dean was waist-deep in the engine, in a black t-shirt, his forearms smeared with grease. His movements were tense, mechanical, and focused, but only because it was easier than feeling. Since their father died, the world had felt like it was balancing on a knife’s edge, and Dean had been the one gripping the blade.

Sam sat on the porch steps, John’s journal open on his lap. But he wasn’t reading. His eyes stared somewhere far past the ink and the pages–out into a place where things made sense again. Both of them were raw. Worn thin. Holding themselves together in the ways they’d been taught: quietly. Unforgivingly.

And then–

Footsteps. Soft. Cautious. The crunch of boots on gravel, slow and steady, like the approach of a ghost.

Bobby looked up from where he sat nursing a beer near the porch, his brow furrowing beneath the brim of his cap. The cicadas fell quiet, as if even they knew something was about to change. The air thickened. The sun shifted.

“Well, I’ll be damned…”

Sam looked up. His body went still. Spine stiffening, his hands frozen on the journal. He saw her second.

A figure, half-lost in heat shimmer, emerged like something conjured from smoke and dust. The faded red leather jacket. Knee-high black boots strapped with buckles. A worn messenger bag slung across her shoulder. Her hair long, a little tangled, windblown, and still the same shade of sunlit chestnut. But her eyes–those hazel eyes held a gravity. Older. Sharper. Like she'd lived another lifetime in the time since she vanished.

“Dean,” Sam breathed. He had stood up so fast the journal hit the porch with a soft thud.

Dean slid out from under the car, rag in hand, squinting against the glare from the sun. His brows drew together when he saw Sam’s face, then he followed his gaze toward the drive.

Then–

He saw her. Time didn’t just stop. It fractured. The rag slipped from his hand and hit the ground. A breeze picked up, rustling the trees. The speakers still played, but the music felt distant, like it belonged to another world.

“Lena?” he said, her name catching on his breath.

She froze mid-step, her eyes wide, lashes clumped with the tears she was trying to hold back. Her mouth parted, trembling. “Yeah,” she whispered, her voice cracking like glass under pressure. “It’s me.”

Her throat bobbed as she swallowed. Her limbs felt like they were made of air and stone all at once. She hadn’t meant to cry. But the sight of him–Dean, real and alive and somehow still wearing the obsidian bead bracelet she’d given him for Christmas–undid her.

Dean didn’t move. Didn’t blink. At first. His chest rose and fell like he’d just been hit. Like he couldn’t decide if she was real or another cruel trick of grief and the heat.

It had been four months for them. Four months of wondering, of searching, of falling silent every time they passed a motel bathroom door. Of not saying her name out loud. Of hurting quietly.

But for Lena, it had been longer. And Dean could see it. She looked the same. Mostly. But he knew her too well to miss the changes. Her face had lost a bit of the softness of youth. Her cheekbones were more defined, her chin set firmer. Her shoulders held a kind of weariness that came from carrying a weight no one else could see. Her eyes–still that fierce, golden-hazel he loved–had gone quieter. Haunted.

She looked like someone who’d lived too much. Like someone who’d clawed her way back through hell to stand here. And she had.

Dean took one step forward. Then another. But he didn’t say anything. Because everything he wanted to say was too much. And not enough. So they just stood there. Two people who had loved each other in motel rooms and graveyards, in borrowed time and unspoken words, now staring across a yard that suddenly felt too wide.

Until Dean reached her. His hand ghosted over her arm, hesitant. Like touching her might destroy something. Then—he pulled her in.

No hesitation. No words. Just arms around her, tight and trembling, like he might fall apart if he let go. She folded into him with a breathless sound, something between a sob and a laugh. Her fingers clutched the back of his shirt, holding on like it would anchor her to this world again.

Dean buried his face in her hair and just… breathed. His hands slid over her shoulders, her back, memorizing everything, like she might vanish again if he didn’t.

“You’re real,” he finally murmured, the words cracked and fragile. “You’re really here.”

Lena nodded into his chest. “I didn’t mean to go,” she whispered.

“I know.”

“I tried to come back.”

“I know.”

He didn’t ask where she’d been. Not yet. Didn’t ask how. Didn’t ask why. He just held her. And didn’t let go.

I saw this post talk about how the initial pilot script implied that Dean killed John instead of hunting down Yellow Eyes (Azazel).

And like just imagine!

John 'finally went too far' (Dean's opinion) in his abuse and Dean had to kill him. But he felt guilty even after everything that the bastard did to him and Sammy. And he couldn't be alone bc what is Dean Winchester without family, without a purpose?? 😭

So, he went to Stanford and told Sammy that Dad was on a hunting trip.

WHAT IF SAM KNEW?!?!

What if Sam knew? Whether it be from the moment Dean said something or he figured it out during the first hunt (the White Woman/Weeping Woman).

But he let Dean have his whole charade bc he knew he was working through his guilt or for some other reason??? Idk

Also in the post was during their 'first' meeting Cas was like "Dean Winchester I need you to help me kill my father" and like that can happen too lmao

John went into the nursery instead because Mary was going to follow through with the deal she made with Azazel.

Mary would still want revenge against the demon though. Especially since she only agreed that she wouldn't enter the nursery and demons are all about technicality. Only when it doesn't apply to themselves apparently (meaning John's entry shouldn't have mattered, Yellow Eyes could have just teleported away).

So, I think she would start hunting again but she would definitely not let her grief control her. Like someone else we know (side-eyes John 😒).

Now I'm going off of Past Mary's personality bc I hate Brought Back Mary (or whatever you wanna call her lol).

Mary raises the boys and still teaches them to hunt but only for self-defense and as a precaution.

She doesn't take Dean on a hunt until he's like sixteen maybe eighteen and only because he wants to. Same with Sam. She also starts them out easy.

Dean definitely would have probably tried hunting on his own tho.

Bobby or Ellen would watch them a lot when Mary went on hunts.

Would that mean that Ellen's husband is still alive??? Whatever you want ig?

She would never leave them alone in a motel until Dean is like at least fourteen. And she would always leave them with enough money. Even if there wasn't quite enough for herself.

But when she wanted to spend some time with her boys she would hand off the case to someone else through Bobby or Ellen.

Jo would be like their little sister and Ash would be like their weird brother lmao

Bobby kinda became like a father figure to Mary and a grandfather like figure to the boys (don't get me started on that while weird relationship in the show please).

Mary makes money by becoming a private detective and solves mostly supernatural crimes. Sometimes it's just cheating husbands.

But when work is slow she works at the Roadhouse for extra cash and also hustles the hunters there.

Bobby/Jody or Jody/Donna??

Dean/Castiel in the future?

Mary encouraged Sam to pursue his dreams of a more normal safe life and becoming a lawyer. She also encouraged Dean's dreams of becoming a hunter even if she wishes he chose a different route.

The story might start with Mary being kidnapped because the demons want the colt? And Dean pulls Sam away from his more apple pie life to find her. Or maybe she went dark because she caught Yellow Eyes’ (Azazel’s) trail?

Maybe she wants to shield her boys from the demon and try to keep them safe?

What about John's deal with Azazel? Would Mary make it instead? Or would that not happen??

Bobby adopts the Winchester boys legally.

When Bobby meets the Winchesters he's reminded of his father and he does something about it.

First he goes to rehab, talks to Dean (first about John not his plan yet, when he does it's a year after Dean was sent to the boy's home), starts getting friendlier with the locals, and asks Ellen and some hunters to help fix up his house. Making it not look so blatantly like a hunter's.

They hide it all in his panic room which he then makes a secret passage to so the social worker won't see it. But he keeps his guns locked up in his room.

He also takes a step back from hunting but still helps from pretending to be a FBI superior to giving hunting advice to finding hunts for others to help research lore. He focuses on his car business.

SPN has so SO many plot holes ranging from big to small so some the ages for certain things have been changed.

So, Dean went to the boy's home at 14 instead of 16. Sam was 10. Sam learned about monsters when he was 8 like in canon. Dean learned about them a little younger maybe. Currently Dean is 15 and Sam is 11???

The FBI Has A Secret Task Force Of Hunters

Supernatural and Criminal Minds crossover!!

Dean and Sam are forced to join if they don't want to go to jail. They'd also get paid a salary and have more stability. But it throws the Winchester brothers into a whole new world.

They have mandatory therapy and training tho– HA!

They'd also probably have to share their knowledge and train agents. Obviously the BAU is assigned to them.

So, the BAU works with them and gets brought into a whole new world too.

Maybe Bobby joins later and helps recruit more hunters, so they all could get paid or???

The new hunters have to probably pass a psych eval and stuff though, so???

OH MY GOD CHARLIE AND GARCIA!!!! they would bond over their VERY similar pasts and their VERY similar personalities! Dead parents bc of a car crash? Check. Sunshine nerdy personality? Check. Fangirls? Check. Tech geeks who dabbled in the illegal side of things? Check. Bright colors? Check. Fruity? Check.

Sam trying to live without Dean and raising a son but still can't fully get away from hunting. He ends up following the trail of a vengeful spirit in the neighbourhood and throughout the episode we see little occurrences where he almost dies and is saved by small miracles happening around him. Cue to the end of the episode when the ghost has him pinned down and he can't reach the lighter and suddenly something is pushing the ghost away and lighting the lighter and burning the ghost's bones. Sam stares with wide-eyes at his big brother standing there, unchanged by the years and with the most Dean-smile ever. "Dean?" "Heya, Sammy."

Like, this could work. Jensen and Jared are the right age to play this. We could have ghost!Dean going around. They don't even need side effects. Jensen can even look corporeal. He usually only lets Sam see him and he can disappear and appear anytime BUT THAT CAN BE FILMED. Honestly, this is the only possible way for a SPN continuation with these actors.

They can go around killing ghosts and monsters again. Sam is fighting with himself whether he should put Dean to rest or not. The plot can be about finding out why Dean is still there. Throw in the mix Sam's son and him finding out about hunting and all that. The wayward sisters are still around and maybe Dean Jr starts calling them his big sisters. Like, there's potential in this and it would work with the same actors??

Sam leaving the “family business” had honestly been expected: eventually, anyway. It wasn’t like it was his first time stepping away from hunting. But to say the hunter community – hell, even the monster community – was shocked when whispers began to float around that perhaps the most notorious hunter of all time was also getting out would have been a vast understatement. No one could believe it. But, according to the out-of-service message from even Dean’s other, other number, it appeared to be true.

the way i need to write a concept script for a spn sequel that follows sam's son dean. it starts off with dean starting off his senior year of college. he's excelling in all his classes with a degree in veterinary medicine, has a girlfriend, and is well-liked and has a large social circle. however, he is unhappy with normal "civilian" life. he feels like there is more to his story than normal school, normal life. he dreads graduating

when a murder happens on campus, dean decides to investigate himself, and take matters into his own hands.

i think there's an irony in sam wanting dean to have what he didn't have in life, but dean still pursuing something that killed everyone close to him. time is a flat circle ig lol

TO ME eileen is dean's mom and she and him have a very tense relationship even though he idolizes her as a hunter. so i think he begs her to let him apprentice and hunt with her and she finally relents so its them doing monster-of-the-week-esque hunts like in the first few seasons

however i really REALLY like the detail in season 15 where they cant trap chuck in the empty or else the monsters will run amok because there's no balance, so i think the plot of this season should be that there's an uptick in monster activity, and sam realizes that that must be why. so jack is missing and cas is like "well. jack's missing" so he's there as well. rowena makes an appearance.

of fufkcing COURSE jody and her household will make an appearance bc to ME dean goes to community in sioux falls and sam would always lean on jody and the girls to help him raise dean and it's awesome. #GirlPower
