Crepe Archives Master Post: Cookie Run: Puzzle World

⚙️ Cookie Run: Puzzle World is Devsisters’ attempt to join the Match-3 craze held by juggernauts like Bejeweled and Candy Crush, as well as smaller clickbait upstarts like Homescapes, Gardenscapes, Royal Match, and Toon Blast. This is also the only game in the series that is dedicated to a portrait-oriented UI instead of landscape like every other game. Ovenbreak is not truly portrait; although it plays with the vertical orientation on your phone, it still has the horizontal UI, making it harder to play and navigate menus as a whole.

While this game plays fundamentally similar to its Match-3 compatriots, Puzzle World has gone by two prior names before they settled on the title of Puzzle World. In closed beta tests before launch in 2019, the game was known as “Cookie Run: Jelly Pop” and then “Hello! Brave Cookies” in November of 2019. By January 12th, 2020, the game was unintentionally released on iOS and quickly retracted, but formally released on all mobile platforms on January 16th. They finalized their title on “Cookie Run: Puzzle World” on July 26th in an update that ran parallel with the launch of their second season. This is also one of the only live games in the series that does not rely heavily on gacha magichanics in order to meet Cookies, but Pets still fall under such a restriction.

Despite this game being teased since 2017, it has gone for a very long time without a proper update. Heck, this game hasn’t been updated after MY release update in Kingdom in April 2021! The only reason why this Master Post exists is because the game is still live, but its status could be described as limbo, especially so since any Discord channels on the official Cookie Run Discord server were closed from view.

⇢ you were in a substantial amount of debt and needed an out. luckily, or unluckily, you were selected to be one of the people the salesman was to seek out and play ddakji with.

⇢ he first saw you in the park, but decided against playing with you right then. he would rather have your first official meeting be someplace more private, where he would have all of your attention.

⇢ he played the game with you and won, of course. but he couldn’t bring himself to slap you. instead, gong yoo changed the rules and kissed you. you still had to pay with your body, just not the way he had originally intended.

⇢ the salesman was greatly disappointed when you won and he had to stop. that mood quickly flipped when he saw you leaning towards him, ready to “punish” him for losing the same way he “punished” you. he almost allowed you to do so before he realized he wanted your first true kiss to be something special, not a mistake.

⇢ he quickly handed you the money and raced off, his face flushed. in his haste, he forgot to give you the business card. not like he would have given to you even with a clear state of mind, he would never give you the chance to escape him.

⇢ he slowly wormed himself into your life, coincidentally showing up at all the same places you were.

⇢ unfortunately for him, you remembered who he was. you spent much of your time locked away in your house after you came to the realization he was likely stalking you.

⇢ instead of seeing this as a sign to back off for a bit and get you to calm down, he decided this was the right time to kidnap you.

⇢ his apartment was big and new for you, so he locked you away in a bedroom, effectively acclimating you like an experienced fish owner would with a new fish.

⇢ did i mention he owns a massive aquarium of fish? once you are allowed full access to his apartment you find his pride and joy other than you, of course.

⇢ you would likely get stockholm in two months or less. you already did find him attractive and seeing as he was offering you a nice place to stay, warm food and was spoiling you willingly; it was almost a no-brainer.

⇢ now onto how he would treat you as his enamored house spouse:

⇢ he would also lower the thermostat, encouraging you to cling onto him for warmth

⇢ he may allow you to have a job, as long as it was completely online and no one saw you ever. he doesn’t want you to be bored, your brain must be stimulated.
