Moment of transparency:
3 years ago, I was the biggest I’d ever been. I just remember stepping on the scale and saying “Damn I’m 14 pounds away from 400 pounds.” In that moment I decided something had to be done. I chose the medical route and later surgery so that I’d be able to maintain. Diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance, so the weight would be impossible to lose and keep off. Don’t let other people’s opinions determine what you need to do for you!!
God I thank You, first and foremost, for opening my eyes and renewing me!! You never gave up on me no matter how many times I questioned Your will for me!!
3 years later, my friend gifted me a boudoir photo shoot. January 2023, this experience jump started my journey to finding myself again. I’m finding myself beyond motherhood, beyond failed relationships, beyond postpartum, beyond the negativity that fueled many of the choices I made. I’m not quite where I want to be but I’m damn near close. I’ve been hesitant on sharing from this experience bc I don’t want to “offend” anyone… for so long no one cared if I was offended, no one cared how their moves affected me, no one cared how their moves made me feel. I’m sharing this today to tell you, especially my ladies… F**K THEIR FEELINGS!!! Do what you need to do for you!! I worked hard for this new era, and I’m coming for what I deserve. Just look close, I got the scars to prove it!!
Have a great day on purpose!!

Ok but why do we get to have a mermaid AU and no sailor AU like I want to see Silvio doing actual sailing and shit
PIRATE AU
FOREIGN FACTION
privateers. In short, pirates working for the government to carry out quasi-military activities... a pirate with papers if you will
With their solemn and equally terrifying captain, Chevalier who oversees his bunch of lawless brigands abide by the contract or else don't get caught. Don't ever engage in direct combat with his fleet.
Clavis is the quartermaster, during the Golden Age of Piracy this was the highest ranking pirate on a ship under the captain, usually elected by the crew. The quartermaster was the only officer on a ship who could veto a captain’s decision, but only when the ship was not engaged in battle or on a mission. This rapscallion is a wild card, difficult to control, has to be strictly supervised to deter from causing all manner of nautical misbehavior but he's always onto something. All the captives are under his supervision... Some destinies are worse than death.
Nokto appraises the goods values and is the one in charge of dealings, negotiations, pricing and reselling. Also paperwork.
Luke is the errand boy whenever they are at port. He is also the cleaning lad but don't be surprised to find he has enormous strength from doing all that sea man work.
DOMESTIC FACTION
Sailors. Honest to goodness sailors. The Royal Navy.
Leon, this charismatic swashbuckler is the captain of the Crown Fleet. He is easy-going but takes his job very seriously. If they ever happen to pass Chevaliers ship they'll definitely exchange annoyed glances.
Jin is the second in command, this shameless carouser enjoys festivity and especially the riotous drinking once on land. He knows his bitches in every port.
Licht is the lookout. He knows how to read the weather and sea and has very good eyesight. Being up there also gives him some much needed alone time from all the noise Jin is steering with the crew.
Yves is the cook. The first time he was introduced someone in the crew was reluctant to accept him on board saying women on ships bring bad luck. Yves was definitely outraged at that remark but rest assured he became an absolute essential to the crew, anytime he's absent Licht is left to cook and we know how that turns out, pray to the gods someone is there to save the ship from burning.
Sariel is the king's emissary, he communicates his majesty's wishes to the captain and anything paperwork related is to him. His inspections aren't without scrutiny, usually Jin is the one getting a scolding word.
PIRATES
Lawless brigands whose name is feared far and wide. Ruthless and unforgiving like the tempest seas, they bow to no man.
Silvio or as some call him Silver, he's... Well actually, I lied. Silvio is not a pirate but a merchant growing his empire of trade and influence. Let's just say that to do that he has the morals of a large corporation, that is, he has the human rights violations as a checklist.
"The capitalist machine must be oiled with the blood of pirates"
-this guy at some point
Keith is a savage pirate you wouldn't want to cross paths with. He committed all manner of atrocities without batting an eye. His ship mostly sails tropical seas and is very difficult to track as it hides in the mist and uses the weather to sail unnoticed. He's very good in dealing with poisons and has a pet bird on his shoulder, Dill.
Gilbert's face is the universal symbol of death and destruction :D scourge of the seven seas, World's Calamity, and prominent glutton, this pirate sails an Obsidian black ship, incredibly military advanced and commands a ruthless crew. Despite the considerable size of his ship it's difficult to predict what route he's going to intercept (making him a constant nuisance to Silvio). Maaaaybe tried to kidnap Emma... more than once. You're not safe. Not even on land.
That said, you never know from where or when he's coming but when you see the dark flag, it's already too late.
Possibly uses pirate slang unironically

When the whole world goes with the crowd - Do not be afraid of standing alone.
“You playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that others won’t feel insecure around you.
As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear - our presence automatically liberates others.”
~ Marianne Williamson
We’ve never met, we probably never will, but the feeling of standing alone brought us together. I write, you read, we’re spread across the world, but in essence, in spirit we’re together in this universal moment sharing an experience.
To a greater or lesser degree, we all had to take a stand, a pause, a moment to reflect on the direction we were being pushed towards. We felt the urge to halt, to look around, to ‘see’ and what we saw made very little sense.
To continue walking with the masses meant ‘shrinking’ ourselves and betraying our own instinct, but ‘standing alone’ seemed to be too scary for many who still chose to follow the mainstream herd.
But some of us took the stand, we ‘stood alone’, we took the blows, the mockery and the rejection, the censorship in the hope that our actions would make a difference, in the wish that we would, in turn, give others the courage to do the same.
And we did, we made a difference, we set an example, we created a path, a new direction, a better destiny, a resistance to the tyrannical powers, an alternative to the dystopian future, a possibility for something better, a chance, a light, a dream, a hope…
There are many of us now, that seek the truth, many of us that have found our voice, many of us unafraid to use it and many of us that will never give up.
To those who ‘stood alone’ first - thank you.
To those that joined later - welcome.
To those that have still not joined - we miss you.
‘Standing alone’ has never felt better, because when you do, you realise you were never alone to begin with. 🤔

Hi Abby, I am uncomfortable saying this off anon for a variety of reasons, please do not think one of them is cowardice. I have followed you for years and years. I’ve come to love so much media because of you and always appreciate your takes. I have chosen to unfollow you now. I am a Jewish person who has been so scared and upset about what the state of Israel is doing to Palestinians and am disgusted by the war crimes committed by Israel. At the same time, I have numerous Israeli friends and family members who have been murdered by Hamas in the last few weeks. Civilians visiting for educational and cultural exchange programs, horrifically killed. Your recently reblogged informational post about how Hamas is not a terrorist organization was deeply upsetting. This may not matter at all to you, but I ask that you consider empathy to all people involved in this issue. Decolonization is important. My friends and family are dead. These two facts can coexist. Just wanted to share this with you because I know many people see your blog and are affected by the information you share.
probably shouldn’t answer this at 1am and you’ve already unfollowed so you probably won’t even see this but i just want to ask you why my sharing resources and information about the reality of hamas and it’s current functioning within gaza / its original charter immediately made you think that i don’t care about loss of human life. there was not a single phrase in that post that minimized victims of the october attack, in fact, not a single phrase in that post took a stance on anything, it was purely informational. frankly, i think it was so measured to dissuade from reactions exactly like this, and if i had written it myself, i would’ve done a worse job.
and if you had been able to push past your knee jerk reaction to reading “they are not a terrorist organization” you would recognize that clarifying language and correcting misconceptions is one of the most important things we can do, both going forward in ending this genocide and looking back on how and why lives have been lost in both israel and palestine.
i have personal empathy and grief for your situation, and i’m so sorry you have suffered loss amongst your community and loved ones. but your loss does not form a shield behind which you are allowed to hide from truth, or force other people to close their mouths when trying to educate themselves and others. we are currently witnessing ongoing mass death, us-backed genocide, and a hugely successful (in the west) propaganda campaign to make this endeavor as Unknowable as possible, especially to those who have never looked into the reality of life in the region. grounding ourselves in recent history, learning more about words and labels that are thrown around weekly, daily, hourly, SPECIFICALLY to justify and excuse the ongoing campaign of death israel has visited upon the palestinian people for decades…. that is the LEAST we are all responsible for. it is your duty, as someone who has lost friends and loved ones, and it is mine, as someone with eyes on their stupid blog, to make every concerted effort to understand and spread the truth, in context, to enrich our own activism and honor the dead.
saying “decolonization is important” while unfollowing me after years bc i shared information about what hamas is, is so empty and meaningless you might as well have not said it at all. thousands of people are actively and endlessly being murdered behind a smokescreen of Terrorism with the VERY SPECIFIC connotations that holds over the west and the US in particular… attempting to relay information that complicates and clarifies your exact knee jerk reaction is the entire point. i hope one day you are able to look a little closer and recognize that your personal hurt in seeing new information that makes you uncomfortable is not important in the scheme of what we are currently trying to prevent
