Yeah there are some... western-centric elements to people automatically writing off master-padawan ships and shoehorning a religious order into westernized nuclear family roles is one of them. Only one of them I might add.

There's a really good post that goes around (I'm sure I reblogged it like... aeons ago) compiling a Twitter thread about how and why the master-apprentice bond turning sexual or romantic when they become equals is an established thing in some of the Asian cultures GL uhhh "borrowed" large parts of the Jedi from and specifically why obikin is not inherently deviant.

Although if writers want to select interpretations or source material wherein Anakin would have a complex, possessive, is-he-my-father-or-my-daddy relationship I'm not opposed (I have a post somewhere on the importance of defending deviancy, and how I could've easily been a self-hating anti if not for the exposure to various obikin voices, but as a mobile only tumblr it's unfindable lmao).

Ultimately (imho) the one common thread between all obikinville, regardless of individual preference for happy, tragic, codependent, wholesome, fluff, porn, kinky, vanilla, 1k word meta posts about their dynamic, fix it or break it more, etc etc etc, is that we're here for how insane they are about each other.

And there are a lot of ways those two are insane about each other, many of which are delicious in either a literary or a sexual fantasy sense (or both).

But back to your point yes the million trillion times when Anakin is NOT looking respectfully at Obi-Wan AT ALL, he spends more time undressing Obi-Wan with his eyes than he does Padme. That is noooot son behaviour. They can barely stop psychically fucking each other's brain-bussy long enough to fight this war.

And the 928768872796489282831 ways canon is like "THEY WERE SOULMATES!"

And yes they could platonically look at each other like the sole source of all that is good and bright in this universe (Force knows that's how I see my friends) and move in such perfect unison it's like they're one body and bicker like an old married couple but hey. They could also do that romantically. Sexually even. Queerplatonically. All the above.

I can't decide whether I think he snores or not. If he does, I think it's super quiet and you can only hear it if you're right next to him. I DO think he's a pretty sleeper though. Like just very serene face, mouth slightly open, and obviously is a huge snuggler. Like can't get close enough to you and if you roll away from each other in the middle of the night, if he even wakes up a quarter of the way enough to realize he's not holding you, he'll immediately remedy that.

Can you explain some of the clone’s culture in the follow the light in you AU?

I think clone culture in my AU is little things the clones tried to hang onto from Kamino that maybe they hid from the kaminoans.

Like the remembrance tradition of scraps of flimsy or cloth or trash they could write the numbers of brothers who never heard of again, tossed into the sea. They changed that into the lantern ceremony once they had their own planet and home.

I think armor painting is definitely part of clone culture - something that is precious to them, as individuals, as commemorating accomplishments or survived trauma. That’s not something they share with just anyone.

Despite being free, the clone society is still regimented and very much centering around being soldiers — even though many chose civilian life, they still go to reserve training and such. They are still bred soldiers and many tried civilian life and didn’t like it/couldn’t change. So they go back to what they know.

There are songs that probably started on Kamino that carried on into free world that are uniquely clones. Just like the clones are the only ones to set the lanterns free on Festival of Lights.

I think a lot of stuff just had to happen after they were free because they couldn’t keep much under the sith with the chips controlling them. So I really think a lot of clone culture is developing as they learn to be free peoples making a place for themselves in the galaxy

I’m super excited to get to rant with fellow Star Wars fans, especially about some underrated, courageous and amazing characters!

I love all Padmé’s handmaidens and all their quirks. Dormé’s loyalty and love for Padmé that brings her to tears in Attack of the Clones is gorgeous, and I love how the Clone Wars delved into the fact that Teckla has children to love and nurture.

So. Off the top of my head the handmaidens I can think of include:

The original five that served Padmé as Queen of Naboo:

- Sabé

- Saché

- Yané

- Eirtaé

- Rabé

Padmé’s senatorial handmaidens from Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith:

- Dormé

- Moteé

- Versé

- Cordé

- Ellé

- Hollé

And then there were handmaidens introduced not in live action, but in books like Ek Johnston’s Padmé trilogy and the Clone Wars :

- Teckla

- Duja

- Tepoh (technically Tepoh is Saché’s aid but any friend of a handmaiden is Padmé’s friend)

I researched it and apparently I forgot some rarely mentioned handmaidens like Karté, Fé, Dané, Umé and Miré.

So, why do I love the handmaidens?

Well, the fact that these characters are made out to be simple aides to Padmé, who are responsible for her hair, clothing decisions and makeup support, but are really her trusted ‘decoys, bodyguards and confidantes,’ is so fascinating to me (quoting Star Wars.com’s Guide to the Royal Handmaidens of Naboo article). They are symbolic of that moral of not judging a book by its cover, as they are more trained, skilled and close to Padmé than most assume.

Also, I love how the handmaidens are so selfless. They sacrifice so many opportunities to enjoy their life and pursue their interests to protect a dear friend who cares for them but cannot be entirely truthful with them (Anakin boy, we love you, and we know it is not your fault, but you kind of make your wife so secretive towards her friends).

And, on a lesser note, I love how the handmaidens follow Padmé’s impeccable fashion style and wear some gorgeous cloaks and outfits. Whether they be grey velvet cloaks or the flame-coloured robes, the handmaidens pull off every simple style so effortlessly.

Talking about the lesser known handmaidens

For the lesser known handmaidens like Duja, Teckla, Tepoh and Moteé, I consider them equally as interesting as those we know more about. They each have their own unique traits that I hope can be explored in future Star Wars content, whether it be prequel era books, comics, series etc.

Duja is first mentioned in the book I really adore, Thrawn Alliances. I love how we get it inferred that Duja was passionate, courageous and willing to face any danger if it allowed her to aid the greater good. It was also a neat little touch in the book where the author mentioned how both Duja and Padmé had once discussed their longing for children of their own. Unfortunately, this character we learnt so little amount perished in the line of duty during the Clone Wars while she was investigating a Separatist factory.

Teckla seems like a sweet-natured character and I adore her. I find it funny that many believe her only appearance is in the Clone Wars, when it has been confirmed that she was the handmaiden in that Attack of the Clones scene serving dinner to Anakin and Padmé before that chat about aggressive negotiations. In the Clone Wars episode ‘Pusuit of Peace’, I love how she helps Padmé with her hair (which is revealed to be a wig) and acts as an optimistic spark of hope when Padmé is fatigued and frustrated.

I loved the introduction of Tepoh in the book Queen’s Hope. The fact that Tepoh is the first character I know of in Star Wars who goes by zhe/zhem pronouns made zhem even more fascinating to me, as I adore characters who feel confident enough to express their true personality and values. Tepoh was likeable for me as zhe were open about their inability to fit into the bleak binary of the male and female categories. I also found it cool of zhem to be willing to aid Saché in their fight for the greater good, even if it meant she had to sit and notetake a lot of information from meetings.

Although I do not know that much about Moteé, the one comic I own that features her makes me adore her. Not only do I love the scene where she walks in on Anidala kissing and she just goes straight to business, but I also love how she is inquisitive about the forbidden affair between Anakin and Padmé. Also, I admire how Moteé takes on the advice of Dormé to let Padmé be happy with Anakin, as it proves that she will be forthright with her opinions but will be open-minded when it is needed.

10: worst part of fanon

Hmm... I think the worst part of fanon is the headcanon that Korkie Kryze is Obi-Wan's child. It infuriates me to no end. I really hate Satine, but I also think she just wouldn't keep a child made so illicitly. Whether that means having an abortion, which feels more unlikely, or sending the kid off to some other planet to be far away from her.

16: You can't understand why so many people like this thing

Tying into my previous answer, I can't understand why so many people like Obitine. Satine is the most frustrating character to me, from the way she treats her people to the way she treats those around her. I think her and Obi-Wan could never be more than what it was; a short-lived whirlwind romance. I much prefer ships like Codywan, because those are two people who feel like they could actually work in a way that is meaningful.

23: ship you've unwillingly come around to

For this, I would have to also say Codywan. At first, I was skeptical, because I didn't know much about Cody and I wasn't that immersed in the Clone side of the fandom yet. I didn't dislike it, per se, but I just wasn't warmed up to it. And then I saw all the beautiful fanart, and the fics, and the love people poured into these characters. People like my favorite Codywan artist (who I am too afraid to actually tag, but it's Journen) and also some of the really heartbreaking fics and edits that I saw, really made it something I grew to love.

I think there are so many good ships in Star Wars, including canon ones such as Anidala and Hanleia (is that the name for that one?) And ones that absolutely should have been canon, like Finnpoe/Stormpilot.

2, 3 and 7 for the Star Wars asks?

2. What character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

I hate saying it, but Kylo Ren/Ben Solo. I loved him through the movies! I loved Adam Driver and I loved how he was brought back to the light side. But since then, thanks to certain (not all!) Reylos and their obsession with him and his being 'misunderstood,' (no, he was really, really bad) I just can't anymore. After having considered myself Reylo through the movies, I now have the tag blocked.

3. What’s the worst part of canon?

Inconsistency. It's everywhere, but being a Poe Dameron fan, I really hate how they changed everything with him. In Before the Awakening, the first Star Wars book I read after they de-canonized the AU (Legends), it was written that Poe joined the Resistance directly from the Republic, after watching his friend die and realizing the First Order was essentially being ignored by his superiors. Then in the 3rd movie... wait! He was a drug smuggler? Then how the hell did he become a pilot in the Republic? Just... why?

7. What is the weakest piece of canon writing?

Oh, dang. I think I just mentioned it. LOL Uhm.. I guess I could also complain a bit about the Ahsoka series, which overall I absolutely loved, but... why Sabine? Why are we making her a Jedi? I mean, I love her, but she's enough as she is. Why are we changing canon? *sigh* So, yes I love Star Wars, ALL of it, but I do still have my 'eye rolling' moments.

Piett is secretly delighted that there is ONE person that is shorter than he is, but one does not openly admit that to Princess Leia.

Veers not secretly enjoys the fact that he is two years older than Piett and therefore anytime older brother situations come up, he is happy to take on that role and is not intimidated by the 'Admiral' glare.

On the flip side---Leia is a few minutes younger than Luke but literally NO ONE would guess that as she practically SCREAMS oldest vibes and thus, very few people ask the twins who's older. Luke has actually bald faced lied about it because it allows him to get away with so much. Innocent farm boy younger sibling remember? [Fox doesn't buy it]

Han is desperate for Ahsoka to show up again because Anakin dropped something in passing about how she could outdrink a Wookiee and now he wants to test that theory with Chewbacca. He and Venka already have a bet, but getting the Togruta and the Wookiee together is VERY difficult.

Baldwin [Chief Engineer in my AU] will never tell anyone that the Admiral will still on occasion come down to the plasma core of the Lady with a hover chair and his favorite book on tall ships in order to quietly discuss it with her. Baldwin would LOVE to know what she shows Piett on the datapad when he asks about her thoughts on sailing in water vs. space.

Obi wan was kind of a hater, he looked down on all of anikans closest relationships aside from padame…who he probably was attracted to (she had slot in common with the duchess)…he gave Rex a hard time even though in the end Cody was the one who turned on him and Rex was able to resist the order 66…he was always talking about R2D2 even through the droid had proven himself in battle countless times and saved many lives and Jedi

Obi-Wan was very critical, cynical, and hypocritical in regards to his treatment of Anakin’s relationship with Padme, too.

Yeah, Obi-Wan did genuinely grow attached to Anakin, in spite of his constant denials that he did until the end of Revenge of the Sith when it was too little too late to make any sort of change for the better. That genuine affection he developed for Anakin definitely was also one of the major reasons why Obi-Wan kept secrets from Yoda and the Council about Anakin’s romance with Padme and his growing unease in regards to his former padawan’s increasingly dangerous and erratic emotional/mental instability.

However, Obi-Wan Kenobi was also a deeply cowardly, insecure, hot-tempered, proud, and self-centered man. He built a stubbornly inflexible shield of arrogance, criticism, deceit, manipulation, and willful denial to avoid having to take the risk of truly facing and fully owning up to what were, at least partially, consequences of his bad decisions and flaws. iIn a lot of ways, he is similar to what Anakin becomes as Darth Vader until the end of Return of the Jedi, which is what truly makes them great foils when you really examine their dynamics, growth, regression, and aftermath in the series.

The take that Obi-Wan Kenobi was “emotionally mature,” “kind,” and “vastly morally superior” to Anakin is ridiculous to me because he really wasn’t. Yeah, technically we see Anakin committing more atrocities against others throughout the galaxy than Obi-Wan Kenobi because it’s a story about his fall from the side of the Jedi Order’s even more corrupt space soldier cult of enemies in the Sith/First Order from within the confines of a very corrupt and misguided cult-like Jedi Order that he had a one-in-a million chance of succeeding in because of his bad choices, his background, the Jedi Order’s neglect and unwillingness to meet his needs, and Palpatine’s deceptions and manipulations.

Obi-Wan doesn’t go dark, in spite of repeatedly being an asshole, because the plot required for him to remain as a deeply misguided tragic failed mentor character for the Skywalker boys in the lesser evil cult of two deeply fucked up space soldier cults.

However, it’s also not a story about Obi-Wan being this amazingly brave, kind, selfless, and supportive guardian and friend who got dealt an unfair hand by the Skywalker boys treating him like garbage all the time either. More often than not, we witness him being the asshole in his relationships with Luke and Anakin by abusing his position of authority and/or seniority over them, not the other way around.

For the most part, I don’t believe he intentionally went out of his way to seriously hurt Anakin, Ahsoka, or Luke. However, he was willing to knowingly take that risk to do so repeatedly when he was befriending them/working with them because Obi-Wan was more terrified of not fitting in with Yoda and the Jedi Council by being honest with himself, being honest with those he cared about, sticking up for those he cared about, trusting his own heart, and honestly admitting that he kept being an ass-kisser and kept following a fucked up Jedi code because he had no faith in his own self-worth.

Granted, Anakin did genuinely go overboard in his obsession with finding Obi-Wan to get revenge after the events of Mustafar. Obi-Wan and Yoda did have every right to feel angry about him going dark. However, they were the ones who allowed for it to become a possibility for Anakin to go dark at all in the first place as his guardians and teachers who repeatedly deceived him, endangered him, exploited him, gaslit him, isolated him, manipulated him, and willfully neglected his emotional/mental health and well-being as a child under their care by allowing him to speak alone to Palpatine, a politician they all had suspected was shady (sans Anakin since he had no prior experience with politicians before the age of 9 and was being groomed by him over that time) on the Council for the past 13-14 years now “for the greater good.”

It’s not like taking Palpatine down came from an entirely genuine desire to stop their enemies to protect other people because they were such “kind” and “selfless” people either. Yoda and the high Council also suddenly cared about taking the Chancellor down 14 years later into his term because their decision to have the recruits of their military/organization follow him was coming back to bite them in the ass by ruining their reputation in the eyes of the general public throughout the galaxy. Yoda and the majority of the high Council repeatedly decided to vote on being servants of the state to Palpatine and other politicians they knew were corrupt for “the greater good” for years now. They very conveniently only decided that one of them “must be a Sith they had to take down” after he requested them to join war, the high council agreed, and their organization/military’s incompetence and toxicity got exposed to the general public of the galaxy in ways that became harmful to their public reputation on a widespread scale, too. It doesn’t matter that they actually turned out to be right about suspecting Palpatine to be a Sith Lord, or that they had good reason to be suspicious. It’s all too transparent just how self-serving Yoda and the high Council actually are being when they suddenly decide to turn on a corrupt politician they enabled and supported for when the consequences of choosing to follow him have finally made them look bad in the eyes of the general public throughout the galaxy.

Anakin technically became worse in terms of morality because he got recruited to join the even worse military space soldier cult/dictatorship in the galaxy as Darth Vader. Yeah, that is, at least, partially on himself for his own bad decisions and eventual lack of effort to try better after he got put in that suit for a while, though I don’t think it’s fair to place the blame all on just him. He was constantly dealing with horrible mitigating circumstances of being an abuse, manipulation, and oppression victim with compromised agency under corrupt authority figures within broken systems his entire life in one way or another from which there was never a safe escape offered. He likely suffered from a handful of some moderate traumatic brain injuries to his prefrontal cortex from being electrocuted by Sith lightning, considering the changes in personality, decrease in empathy, flat emotional affect, and poor long-term decision making skills.

However, though the entire Jedi Order didn’t deserve Order 66, I don’t think many of them were these “blameless” victims or “noble” failures like Obi-Wan and Yoda kept trying to convince themselves they were after the Jedi Order’s and Republic’s fell either. I think a lot of them were and/or grew up to be very arrogant, cowardly, deceitful, hypocritical, manipulative, and willfully in-denial assholes who kept trying to lie to themselves about still being these heroic, kind, brave, and selfless soldiers of the Republic for “the greater good” because that was easier to accept than honestly acknowledging that they had been willing to knowingly commit these atrocities and hurt people in their fear of the Sith and fear of these corrupt institutions they served because they were more concerned about their needs, their public reputation, and their security than they were about doing the right thing when it seemed the odds were stacked against them.

Aside from protecting Anakin and himself from the condemnation of the Jedi Council by being quiet about his relationship with Padme that he knew about, I don’t really remember a time in the books, movies, or the clips of the TCW (2008-2020) cartoon when Obi-Wan was actually supportive of Anakin’s crush on Padme or his relationship with her. In Attack of the Clones, he forbids Anakin from getting romantically attached or involved with her. He insists that Anakin leave Padme behind after she gets knocked out for a minute in a battle on Geneosis when he sees that Anakin wants to go and rescue her after that happens because “he needs him here.” The TCW TV series actually makes Obi-Wan’s criticisms of Anakin’s attachment to Padme and his attempts to pressure him to choose between her and the Jedi Order look even worse.

At least, in the movies Obi-Wam never had been through a similar experience as Anakin to compare to where he fell in love with someone outside of the Jedi and felt pressured to choose between them and that ridiculous “no attachment” Jedi mantra, so his lack of empathy and criticisms in regards to Anakin’s feelings for Padme and their relationship feels more understandable. In TCW, though, Obi-Wan has also gotten romantically attached to someone else and felt conflicted over choosing between her and the Jedi Order, but he still refuses to have any sort of understanding for Anakin in this scenario. It makes him look like more of an asshole and a hypocrite.

They never should have made Obitine a romance in TCW because it doesn’t line up with the rest of Obi-Wan’s established characterization, and it makes him look like more of an asshole for not being understanding of Anakin’s attachment to Padme. In the movies, he was a hypocritical ass-kisser of the Council/Jedi Order at nearly all costs, but he wasn’t usually that blatantly hypocritical and law-defying of the Order. His flaws were there, but he lacked the courage, outside knowledge, and self-reflection abilities to fully acknowledge his shortcomings.

There’s no reason why a Jedi shouldn’t be able to feel safe and accepted by the Council for having and maintaining close relationships with other people, while also being Jedi in their day jobs on the side. So long as neither seriously interfere with the other, it shouldn’t have to be an issue, and I don’t think it would have necessarily become an issue of becoming unhealthily codependent, obsessive, and possessive for Anakin, Padme, or other fallen Jedi if they could have been able to feel safe and supported being honest about caring about their loved ones, needing help, and wanting more freedom in their personal lives without the constant threat of being shunned, ignored, or dismissed by their bosses, mentors, and the government if and/or when they were constantly lingering in the background.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, just because Obi-Wan Kenobi was a very bad guardian and friend who was a deeply flawed person with very emotionally/psychologically abusive/ cult like brainwashing tendencies in regards to Anakin and Luke, it does not mean that I also think he was a heinous mustache twirling Disney villain who deliberately set him up to fail from the very beginning because he was just that petty.

I just so happen to view him as being a very arrogant, cowardly, cut-throat ambitious, hot-tempered, hypocritical, impatient, emotionally immature, manipulative, exceedingly status conscious, self-centered, and willfully in-denial bastard. He was generally willing to throw other people under the bus who got in his way of being able to obtain the security of external validation from those authority figures with positions over him within a broken Jedi Order because he was too afraid to admit that he lacked too much security in his own moral self-worth and agency to do the right thing. Then, after it all shattered to pieces, at least in part, because of his own bad decisions, he and Yoda were way too guilt ridden and proud to accept the truth that they really hadn’t been the brave, kindhearted, or noble heroes of the story that they initially set out to be, but assholes who knowingly practiced, supported, and used abusive, exceedingly controlling, isolating. and morally wrong methods and practices to try and achieve worthy ends because they were easier and safer than actually taking the risk of facing their fears by learning to let go of air tight control and toxic conformity instead.

I’ve said that Anakin went on to develop similar negative traits, too, albeit in different way, but he’s the only one of his surviving predecessors from the old Jedi Order/Republic who consistently gets framed as wrong for it, never gets rewarded for it, and doesn’t get to be rewarded with any sort of happy ish ending until he finally does. Obi-Wan and Yoda never truly learn their lesson (the Obi-Wan Show doesn’t count as legit character growth for him because he goes right back to being an asshole again in the OT films, anyway), and ultimately get rewarded for being assholes who unrepentantly continue justifying behaving and treating others as pawns in shitty ways for whatever they consider worthy ends.

Yet, the narrative of the OT says I’m supposed to feel sorry for them and let them off the hook for treating Luke in shitty ways to use him as a pawn for their own ends without any remorse, just because they’re on the lesser evil of two deeply messed up sides. The way they’re written in the narrative of the OT movies gives me no real reason to be sympathetic towards Obi-Wan and Yoda, aside from just not being Sith, the greater evil side of the enemy, but I don’t know why I should be seeing them as heroic, sympathetic assholes, or reformed assholes at all in the narrative of the OT that Lucas treats them as? When do they actually ever do or say anything remotely apologetic, genuinely kind, and selfless for anyone else in the movies, unless it somehow benefits their own ends of “the greater good?”

Even that “sacrifice” that Obi-Wan made for Luke in A New Hope where he let Vader kill him in front of him was something he had an ulterior motive for doing. He wanted to become a force ghost to be able to train Luke to kill off Vader in the afterlife, and further motivate him to do it. The only surviving well-meaning asshole from Luke’s predecessors of the old Jedi Order who seems to genuinely grow to understand the true meaning of remorse and selfless sacrifice at all in the OT movies is Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, and the narrative expected me to see him as more unsympathetic than Obi-Wan and Yoda, even though he had more meaningful character development and reformation in the last 20 minutes of Return of the Jedi than the “good guys” had throughout all three movies.

Yoda sucked in both the OT and PT movies. Obi-Wan was an asshole in both the OT and PT movies, too, though the PT movies definitely did make me more sympathetic towards his charactef. I get a better understanding of why he is an asshole in the PT movies than the OT movies, he’s a victim of a shitty Jedi Council, too, and he does face a partial negative consequence for being an asshole by helping push away Anakin. Ewan McGregor really did a wonderful job of making me feel for Obi-Wan as a character, even though he was generally an arrogant, hypocritical, and misguided asshole. However, when I look at all of his bad behaviors, choices, reactions, words, and traits throughout the franchise as a character on the whole, Obi-Wan Kenobi was even more of an asshole in the prequels at times than he was in the OT films. Just because Ewan McGregor and the script of the prequels made me more understanding of why Obi-Wan’s character acted like an asshole on a number occasions, that doesn’t mean I thought that made it cool for him to be one either. I could say the same thing about Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, Mace-Windu, Qui-Gonn Jinn, the overall Jedi Order as a galactic superpower law enforcement/military, Padme Amidala, Jarr Jarr Binks, and the overall Republic government in the prequels.

Do I think they were cartoonishly evil mustache twirling villain Darth Sidious/Lord Palpatine level assholes who were secretly malicious psychopaths in their intentions all along with no genuinely pure motives or potentially redeeming qualities? No. They all believed they had good intentions and they all had so many poignant moments of great bravery, idealism, kindness, idealism, and optimism. Unfortunately, they all failed and got dealt consequences that were far worse than they deserved because their fear of honestly and openly taking more risks to face any sort of potential conflict or threat to their beliefs, family, lives, or lifestyle from the outside consumed them more often than not until it was too late.

Okay, #5: Worst Blorboification:

I have to admit, I'm still shaky on my understanding of what is and isn't a blorbo. But from what I can find, it's a character someone really likes and kind of treats like a pet. And there are so many in Star Wars. Everyone thinks "I can fix him!" (choose your own "him" to fix -- Vader, Kylo Ren, etc.).

That said, the one that's puzzled me the longest is Boba Fett. He's just...not that interesting? He really didn't have much screen time until fairly recently (although I'm pretty sure there were comics and novellas), and it's weird that he survived the sarlacc, and he just seems like an asshole.

For #8: There should be more of this type of fic/art:

SO MANY! I'm all about domestic fluff and found family stuff, so that's an obvious one. I saw more of it pre-Sequels, but fics about the OT gang being good parents/teachers because they had all the makings of that in the OT. Also, two things I've been writing about lately are Wookiees and the Whitesun-Lars family, and there's not enough works about either.

This isn't exclusive to Star Wars: the way one early fanfiction with a diametrical depiction of a certain character becomes "famous" and is taken as the blueprint through which a large part of the fandom sees that character (or relationship) henceforward. Also the misogyny.

Oh, oof. Think I'm going to go with "none", which will sadly be the case for as long as they continue to hand over projects to rich white cis men.

#8: Weapon of choice? I don't care how "basic" it is, I WANT A LIGHTSABER. Classic style, color green. Because yes, I fantasize myself as being a powerful Force user. The Force is hands-down my favorite aspect of the Star Wars canon and I love the Jedi order.

#10: Which character do you feel is most like you? R2-D2. Choosing a robot might seem weird, but R2 is the ultimate sidekick with strong Sam Gamgee vibes. He is hardworking, loyal, dependable, not the strongest being in the galaxy but can hold his own in battle. Most importantly, he makes himself as useful as possible and just by being the best at what he is/does, he actually saves the day behind the scenes. I think I'm the same way; I am good at being hero support whom the hero would actually be lost without. R2 is also the "keeper of memories" for the Skywalker clan, which has always been my role in my own family.

#19: What type of outfit would you wear? I really like Rey's attire in The Rise of Skywalker. It looks so practical and comfortable for travel and fighting, but it still looks feminine and even sexy. I would also love to have a Jedi robe with it, because I'm always cold and those are pretty much like Snuggies.

Eh...the closest we get is Leia, I think. She's not without her flaws and there are elements that bother me about her story. Like she should have been trained as a Jedi. I like her character though, she strong, sassy, smart and takes no bullshit.

21. Best canon example of a healthy relationship in Star Wars?

Bail and Breha hands down. They both have their careers, their own paths and are often separated but every interaction between them is wholesome and shows the love, trust and respect they have for each other. They are the Star Wars power couple.

The OG Trilogy but mostly because they've simply been out the longest (cause I usually watch the whole first six in a batch, when I watch) but RotS is starting to creep in as an outlier (especially the first 20 minutes when the world was good and wholesome) No. 23: What’s your favorite star wars musical piece or theme?

"Anakin's Betrayal" there's five different versions of it on my writing playlist and it never, ever fails to make me emotional. I just love it so much. Of course, I have soft spot for the "Force Theme", too but it's a bit overplayed.

Oooooh! I watched them all except for Resistance but this is me being reluctant mainly due to my overall dislike for the Sequel trilogy (apologies to all ST fans out there). I think I still need to catch up on Forces of Destinies and Visions. My favorite is The Clone Wars, which is also my favorite Star Wars series overall (more than the live actions). The Bad Batch and Mando are close behind! 😊🙌🏽 I love that it expanded so much on the prequel trilogy plot and main characters, along with taking characters with small roles and cameos and adding so much depth to them. Heck it also introduced new characters which have become some of my favorite SW characters ever (Ahsoka and Rex)! Thanks again and feel free to ask or even dm if you wanna talk more! 😊
