The cut stems of Cornus (dogwood) and Salix (willow) cultivars are used to make decorative containers for a winter display. The wavy stems of Salix matsudana ‘Tortuosa’ (dragon’s claw willow, Peking willow, wiggerly willow) make a dramatic arrangement and are surrounded by a planting of Acorus gramineus 'Variegatus' (variegated slender sweet flag).

i like the sunset lesbian flag, but i just i thought it'd be cool to mix some previous lesbian flag colors into a more inclusive one

i decided to mix aspects of the sunset flag with shades of purple/violet to represent sapphism

i think this would be a great flag for the general lesbian community. i always see the sunset lesbian one used as the default, but it's just offputting to see "relationships to womanhood" when it's supposed to be nonbinary inclusive. even as a bigender lesbian, i can acknowledge this treats womanhood like the default and makes other nonbinary lesbians feel left out and ignored within their own community. i also thought it was important to represent transgender lesbians as a total, as well as studs and stems, because i feel they aren't included enough and dont get nearly as much representation either.

Human Animal Object Flag Combo

Human: last surviving species of the genus Homo and the species sapiens; a form of primate bipedal hominidae.

Animal: a living organism that feeds on organic matter, typically having specialized sense organs and nervous system and able to respond rapidly to stimuli; animalia, kingdom of multicellular eukaryotes whose cells are bound together by collagen.

Object: in astrophysics/STEM/formal sciences, a contiguous collection of matter, within a defined boundary (or surface), that exists in space and time or is otherwise fathomable. Usually contrasted with abstract objects (hard sciences) and mental objects (humanities).

You can use this flag however you want, in an alterhuman way (eg. objectkin therian humanhearted), in a singletn't way, in a menre way, or in general. In my lived experience and to my interpretation, I live in a physical body (object) that is made of flesh (animal) and bone (human). My mind/thymopsyche (internal self/ego/personhood) is virtual/digital (immaterial/immanent), therefore a belief if distinguished from mind-body dualism.

Black Futch Flag and Futch Symbol by thegenderthieves

Continuing to repost some of my friends' stuff from their terminated accounts so that it's more easily findable (with their permission ofc) All text is pasted straight from the original coining!

The futch version of my (thegenderthieves') black butch and black femme flags is done! It’s for all black futches, stems, etc! (yes i released this flag hours early because I love it too much)

The colours are inspired by the dyke flag (you don’t need to have reclaimed dyke to use this flag ofc!), and a variety of futch flags

Meaning:

Black - black history and black sapphic history

Light red/pink - lesbian and sapphic history, love of women and non-men, sapphic power

Fuscia - inclusivity of all sapphics, including trans, non-binary, mspec, aroacespec, and other sapphics

Light pink - futchness, unity, non-conformity

Brown - androgyny and neutrality in gender expression

Light brown - futchfluids, stems, and futches that lean towards butch or femme

Sun, moon, and labrys axe - the sun is associated with masculinity, and the moon femininity, representing androgyny, and the axe represents strength, liberation, and rebellion

realistically speaking, how much of orv would the live action cover? especially since it's called 'the prophet', will it end at the absolute throne, since by then the concept of 'prophets' (other readers of TWSA) would have been settled (plus concluding the movie with an outer god would be kinda sick)

My biggest fandom pet peeve is when one character in a ship is considered the hot/cool one, and the other is seen as just lucky to be with them. Like folks will let the "hot" one get away with anything, but once the "less attractive" partner makes a mistake they are unforgivable and need to beg to be with them again

It's funny how people once pointed out how Edelgard would say to Byleth that she didn't think that they belonged on the path that put them on her side - that Byleth wasn't meant to be here - to show off why CF was like. Not good. Because even the lord of the route is trying to tell the player that uhhh Byleth doesn't belong here, they're supposed to be on the other routes. Which checks with how the devs said that SS is the route the world-building is based on, and how within the game itself CF directly goes against SS' world-building.

It's like. It's like a pretty clear wink wink nudge nudge that the player Dun Goofed and was on the Bad Route with the Red Emperor who mows down any in her way. And which is further backed up by all the the bad implications in CF endings... and its mural... and throughout the story... and the explore dialogues... and Byleth's (and other characters') visible character regression...

But Edelstans have looked at that clear-as-day red flag through some damn fine rose-tinted glasses, and have completely turned that intent around. Nooo, we've got it all wrong, that wasn't any sort of nudge to the player that they're on the wrong path - that's Byleth defying their fate! That's them challenging what was meant for them to go down, and them forging their own path forward through the choices they made!

...Ignore how, if CF is an available route to go down, that would intrinsically make SS a choice as well. Because it is no longer the default in that scenario; one has to make the active choice to still side with the Church over Edelgard. Meaning, like. There is no fate to defy here.

...And ignore how this makes it sound as though this is the only choice Byleth makes about something in the game at that point. There's, well, AM and VW to consider, but even being a saint and ignoring the biggest flaw in this argument, there's still like. The Sealed Forest. You know, that moment when Byleth, not the player, chose to do something, of their own volition, and even against the wants of Rhea (the stand-in for fate, according to Edelstans)? Real funny how that never seems to ever be a factor in Edelstans' arguments about why Byleth needs Edelgard to learn how to make choices - they can do it just fine.

Just like they, Byleth, and not the player, chooses to side with Rhea and not Edelgard as the "default."

Like they NEVER seem to see that as a possibility! That Byleth CHOSE to side with Rhea! They say that's Byleth *~submitting to the whims of fate~* instead of giving Byleth any agency, because that would mean that Byleth would by default choose to defy Edelgard.

But you know what character does attribute Byleth's choosing Rhea as a result of their willful choices and agency?

The game is the one that is saying that Byleth actively and deliberately chose to go onto SS. Not only does nothing in the game support the idea that choosing Rhea/SS is something outside of Byleth's control/a result of strictly fate and nothing else, it literally says the complete opposite. But Edelstans are so hard-set on believing that Byleth can't be anything without Edelgard that they, ironically enough, force them to be by her side and deny any agency Byleth may have that takes them away from her. It's just... a sight to behold really lmao
