you shouted a quick ‘i’m going’ spraying some perfume.

your outfit consisted of a cute white tube top with flower detailing and some cute jean shorts along with doc marten sandals.

you grabbed your phone and speeded downstairs.

“okay, so what are we thinking?” your mom asked you as you both headed toward the front door.

that day you went looking for your dress and luckily enough you found the exact one you wanted.

it was everything you looked for in a dress.

you had no complaints.

overtime the week passed by and you were planning and planning. belly was helping you as well since she was also being a deb. you both shared your experience especially because you guys were practically sisters.

you guys talked about everything …but when it came down to dates. you didn’t have a clue.

“i’m thinking of asking cameron to be my escort.” she gushed.

“hmm you really like him don’t you?” you asked taking a sip of your milkshake.

you were at steven’s door. fully prepared to ask him to be your escort.

“come in.” he grumbled.

he sounded like he was in a bad mood which almost made you chicken out.

“hey…watcha doin.” you asked first.

he made contact with you and a smile formed.

“hey y/n/n.” he said. “nah, nothing just tryna figure out some stuff for school. what’s up?” he patted his bed for you to sit.

“i just wanted to ask you something important.” you sat down crisscross.

“what about?” he leaned up off his headboard. he was concerned not knowing what to think. part of him wanted it to be about you two but he kept that thought himself.

“i was wondering since you’re my best friend and all…”

“if you wanted to be my escort to the deb ball.” you were fiddling with your fingers as the question came out your mouth.

“uh…like that victorian shit?” he snorted.

“it’s not victorian.” you slap his arm. “it’s about a woman coming of age! and i need an escort.”

“are you sure it’s supposed to be a friend though?”

friend? you thought. right.

“i mean it could be anyone. there’s a girl bringing her girlfriend and my friend is bringing her friend from home.” you tried to explain.

“okay well…um let me know then..?” you hesitated. you were kind of hurt by his answer. you thought you guys were at least close enough to do something important for each other.

you got up ready to walk out.

“where you going?” he asked.

as soon as you got inside your room you closed your door, locked it, and fell face-first on top of your bed sighing.

that went well.

a few days had passed, well more than enough time for steven to think about being your escort. at this point, he probably forgot all about it.

“steven.” you said his name as he was relaxing by the pool.

“hey y/n/n. are you gonna get in? let’s swim together.” he called u over starting to stand up.

“no thanks, i was just going to ask you if you thought about what i asked you the other day…you know. the deb ball?” you were standing there admiring his shirtless stomach as he spoke.

“oh yeah, i don’t think it would be cool for me you know. like being in a tux n shit.” he shrugged. “thanks for inviting me though.”

you turned and started walking away until he grabbed your arm to stop you.

“who?” he looked confused.

“oh just this guy i met at one of the bonfires.” you smiled trying to walk away again but he still had his grip on you.

his face twitched. “well, actually now that i think about it. we’re best friends, it’s only right i escort you. i didn’t think about it like that.”

“yeah, best friends …should have each other's backs. which is why i don’t know why you’d say no.” you crossed your arms defensively.

“well, to be honest. i thought it was lame.” he admitted.

two weeks later.

it was the day of the deb ball.

you were nervous and freaking out. you knew exactly what to do and what you were going to do for your makeup and hair, you were just nervous about the night.

you wanted it to turn out okay. more than okay actually. you wanted it to be everything you’d dreamed of.

susannah had people coming to do your hair and makeup in the dressing room of the country club which took the pressure off a little bit. you had told them what you wanted and thank goodness they exceeded your expectations.

you looked at yourself in the mirror and thanked the beauty gods for this good outcome.

the other girls were also getting their hair and makeup done but it was time to change.

susannah helped you along with laurel. they were awed at how gorgeous you looked in the dress.

“oh honey, you look so beautiful.” susannah said hugging you.

“thank you mom.” you hugged back.

“she’s right, you look gorgeous..” laurel said smiling at you.

“thank you, laur.” you hugged her as well before she spoke again.

“if steven ruins your night you let me know.” she eyes you.

“i will.” you smile back.

“okay, well we gotta head out but we’ll see you honey.” susannah rubs your shoulders. “you’re gonna be fantastic.”

you smile once again watching them leave. you take a deep breath. it’ll be okay.

and it was.

you say steven for the first time. he looked so good.

steven thought the same about you.

she’s breathtaking. he said quietly to himself.

you got announced and as you guys walked down the applause was non-stop.

you saw laurel and susannah waving at you from the table as well as conrad and jere.

you smiled so big your face was hurting.

as the night went on you had the best time.

now it was afterward when you were getting dressed back into your clothes and getting ready to head home.

you were packing up your bag when you heard a knock on the dressing room door.

you turn to see who it is and steven walks in.

“hi.” he said shyly.

you smiled. “hi! thank you so much for escorting me.”

he nodded and looked around the room before making eye contact with you again. he was biting his lip nervously and fiddling with his fingers.

“you okay?” you asked walking closer to him.

he was about to speak but he paused.

“steven…what’s wrong?” you said worriedly. he was acting strange.

“im going to do something but feel free to stop me.” he said and before you could think of what to say his lips were on yours.

He'd stopped walking then, grabbing your hand and pulling you towards him. You stood a foot away from each other

"Whats wrong?" you asked, looking up at him with concern

"Very funny Jere" the concern on your face grew into a grin

"I'm not laughing y/n" he stated, he'd stared straight faced

"Okay.. then what's wrong?"

"What's wrong is how you can't see how I've been bending over backwards all summer, trying to get you to see how much I'm in love with you"

Silence had settled over the two of you. Nothing existed in that moment but you and Jere and the desperation you both felt to understand and be understood

Thunder rumbled above, the clouds shifting onto colder seasons, but neither of you moved, the soft droplets of summers first rain pattered against your skin, you watched as it left dew drops on the tips of Jeremiah's eyelashes and the bow of his lips

"You're wrong, I did notice, I've always noticed you Jere, I have since we were five and hid in Susannah's closet eating the good muffins, and twelve when you helped me catch my first wave and fifteen when you picked a fight with my deb escort" you whispered

"Guess we both lost huh" you said taking his hand in yours and turning to walk back to the fair and back to the summer house, not wanting to get stuck in the rain

Tom wasn’t a jealous guy, at least, he didn’t think so. He was very secure in your relationship, always making sure he didn’t let his emotions get the best of him.

Like when you told him you had gotten the role of Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher’s sister in The Summer I Turned Pretty, and how you were Steven Conklin’s love interest, he congratulated you with a big hug.

He knew who was playing Steven—Sean Kaufman. There was no doubt that Steven was a very charming guy.

“You’re here!” You say giddily, engulfing your boyfriend in a hug when he approached you. “Daisy was just patching up the last of my concealer. Did you get any food?”

Daisy was your makeup artist—and one of the sweetest girls you’ve ever met in your life. She knew the cast pretty well, so when you first got here, she helped break the ice between you and them.

“You know I did,” Tom says, placing the paper bag down on your table. He opened it up, retrieving an iced matcha latte and a poke bowl. You squealed in delight, excited to eat after filming for so long.

“So how was your day?” You say, cheekily grinning at him as you ate your bowl.

“Tiring? I did a photo shoot, it was fun. Then I went home and took a nap, and then I drove to buy you food.”

“Well thank you babe,” you say. “Today was such an exhausting day, so much retakes cause of all the sand. But God do I love this show to death. It’s so much all at once but in a good way, you know?”

“Well I’m just excited to see my girl on the big screen,” Tom smiles, leaning in to give you a kiss on your forehead.

“YN! Time to film again!” The voice of your director calls out, making you shove your bowl into Tom’s hands and rushing over to the cameramen.

Tom carefully places your bowl down, walking over quietly behind the cameras to watch your scene up close.

He watches as you talk to Lola, who plays Belly, about your plans after high school, and how you wanted to apply for Princeton just like Steven. She rolls her eyes, saying how she doesn’t get how you and Steven get along so well.

Later in the scene, you and Sean sit close together in front of a campfire. Tom remembers vividly of you telling him there was a scene between your character and Steven where the two of you would get extremely close. Tom feels his breath hitch when he sees Sean make you laugh. He knows that it’s just acting—that your character and Sean’s character are love interests in the show, and that it means nothing in real life.

But he just feels so weird. His stomach is in knots, and it feels like his mouth is dry.

“You know,” Sean begins, leaning in close to your face. “I know Belly doesn’t want me liking any of her friends, and your brothers would totally kill me if they knew; but you’re making it so hard.”

“Really Steven?” You fake giggle, leaning closer to his touch. “Well they don’t have to know.”

Sean laughs at your comment, his head falling against your shoulder, something that Tom had always done with you.

And then he sees the director cue the cameramen to zoom in, and then there it is. — You and Sean kiss, and Tom feels his feet move away from the scene without even realizing.

“And… cut!” The director says, clapping. “Good job Sean and Y/N! You really captured the tension between Steven and Ella. That’s a wrap!”

You hug Sean afterwards, the two of you laughing about how stupid the kiss must’ve looked but you knew the viewers would eat it up once the episodes aired.

“Where’s that boyfriend of yours?” Gavin asks, suddenly showing up behind you and Sean.

“Gavin!” You say, putting your hand to your chest. “Way to scare a girl to death!”

Gavin laughs, poking at your sides teasingly. “Just kidding, I know where he is. Stormed off where Lola and Christopher are standing.”

“Storm off?” You say, confused.

“Seems like lover boy wasn’t too keen on you kissing our Sean over here.”

You quickly make your way towards where Lola and Christopher were standing, and just like Gavin had said, Tom was standing behind them. He didn’t look too happy.

“What’s wrong?” You ask, pulling the boy away for some privacy.

“It’s nothing.”

“Oh c’mon,” you scoff. “It can’t be nothing. Gavin said you stormed off earlier.”

Tom sighs, clearly wanting to drop the topic. But one look into your genuine concerned eyes makes him crack.

“I was jealous.” He admits, biting his lip back in embarrassment. “I’m sorry.”

You bite back a smile, arms linking with his. “Awe babe, it’s okay. Just acting. Just like how you kissed Rachel in the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. It doesn’t mean anything.”

“Yeah,” Tom sighs, bringing your body close to his. “You’re right, I shouldn’t have felt that way.”

“It’s okay,” you reassure him, smiling brightly. “Feeling jealous is bound to happen with our job, as long as we communicate about it, everything will be fine.” You hug his side, snuggling your face into his coat. “Plus, you know Sean has a girlfriend, right?”

“What?” Tom seems baffled, but he quickly covers it up. “No, yeah, I knew that.”

“Uh huh,” you tease, “don’t worry Tom, I love you the most.”

He leans down, making eye contact with you. “Well I sure hope so, because I love you the most as well.”

And everything was perfect until Gavin lets out a fake barf, telling the two of you to “get a room”.

“Oh get out of here Gav!” You say, shooing him away.

“Yeah Gavin, let the couple have their moment!”

That makes everyone laugh, and you swore you never felt happier than you did right now.

 Worum geht’s?: Fünf Jahre nachdem er für tot erklärt wurde, kehrt der junge Milliardär und Playboy Oliver Queen in seine Heimatstadt Starling City zurück. Er scheint nach einem Schiffbruch die letzten fünf Jahre auf einer einsamen Insel verbracht zu haben, doch offensichtlich verbirgt er etwas – und hat nach seiner Heimkehr eine ganz bestimmte Agenda.

 Warum diese Folge wichtig ist: Nun, es ist der Pilot-Film und Steven Amell hat auf die Frage nach dem besondersten Moment in seiner Zeit als Arrow bisher nicht zufällig gerade diesen erwähnt. Der „Arrow“-Pilot ist nicht der beste Pilot aller Zeiten und steht seinen eigenen Spin-Offs um einiges hinterher, aber er ist interessant. Interessant genug um fünf Staffeln, zwei Spin-Offs und bald mehr als hundert Folgen nach sich zu ziehen. Was vor allem deswegen bemerkenswert ist, da man sich die ganze Folge über des Gefühls nicht erwehren kann, dass man hier nicht das Origin eines Superhelden, sondern das eines Serienkillers sieht. Und genau genommen ist das auch so. Alleine das macht diese Episode bemerkenswert.

 Anmerkungen: *Sara wird hier noch von Jaquline McInnes Wood gespielt.

 Worum geht’s?: Deadshot ist noch am Leben und sein nächstes Ziel ist Malcolm Merlyn. Dieser versucht sich mit seinem Sohn Tommy auszusöhnen, was der zuerst ablehnt bis ihm Oliver zu einer Versöhnung rät. Dieser ahnt nichts von Malcolms Zweitidentität und ist voll auf damit beschäftigt sein Liebes- und sein Doppelleben beide am Funktionieren zu halten.

 Warum diese Folge wichtig ist: Geoff Johns – DC Autor mit Affinität zur Farbe grün (wenn auch eher zu Laternen als Pfeilen) hat diese Folge geschrieben und das merkt man, handelt es sich hier doch eindeutig um eine der besten Episoden der ersten Staffel, in der Oliver Tommy seine wahre Identität enthüllt, was diesen gleichermaßen erstaunt wie kränkt. . Tommy ist der erste Oliver seit Jahren nahe stehende Mensch, der von seiner Geheimidentität erfährt, und seine Reaktion ist die erste von vielen, die im Laufe der Serie stattfinden werden.

 Anmerkungen: * In dieser Episode wird zum ersten Mal mit dem Gedanken gespielt, dass Sara noch leben könnte.

 Worum geht’s?: Oliver wurde vergiftet. Um sein Leben zu retten weiht Felicity Barry Allen in die Situation ein. Oliver ist davon zunächst gar nicht begeistert und dann beginnt er auch noch zu halluzinieren. Während die Polizei sich mit Gold auseinander setzt, hat Roy Probleme mit Brother Blood.

Erstens wird hier der Startschuss besser gesagt Blitz für „The Flash“ geliefert, zweitens ist es eine gelungene Arrow-Version von „The Christmas Carol“ und drittens eine wirklich gute Arrow-Episode mit einigen der besten Momente in der Serie bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt darin enthalten.

 Worum geht’s?: Während Slades Drohung dazu führt, dass sich Oliver zunehmend Sorgen um Saras Leben macht, wird Diggle von Amanda Waller für eine spezielle Argus-Mission rekrurtiert – doch sein Team besteht abgesehen von ihm und Lyla hauptsächlich aus Kriminellen, unter ihnen auch Deadshot, den Mörder von Johns Bruder.

 Warum diese Folge wichtig ist: Das hier ist sozusagen die Fortsetzung von Flash-Crossover-Episode „Flash VS Arrow“ und hat auf ewig das Pech mit dieser Folge verglichen zu werden, aber abgesehen davon ist es eine perfekte Crossover-Folge, die durch die Anwesenheit der Flash-Charaktere auch mehr Humor in die Welt von Arrow bringt.

Während sich Laurel ihrer Mutter stellen muss und Ray sich wieder mit Felicity versöhnen will, wird Oliver klar, dass ihm keine andere Wahl bleibt als sich Ra’s a Ghul persönlich zu stellen.

 Warum diese Folge wichtig ist: Mit dieser Folge wird die kurzlebige Serie „Constantine“ rückwirkend in das Arrowversum eingebunden. In dieser Serie spielte Matt Ryan ebenfalls John Constantine. Obwohl die Serie selbst auch in einem Parallel-Universum spielen könnte, scheinen ihre Ereignisse doch auf Erde 1 spielen zu sollen. Auf jeden Fall ist diese Episode hier das durchaus gelungene Crossover mit der anderen Serie, während zugleich „Legends of Tomorrow“ vorbereitet wird.

 Worum geht’s?: Während das Team versucht mit einem großen Verlust klar zu kommen ist Quentin mit dem Verleugnen der Realität beschäftigt. Nicht helfen tut bei all dem eine neue mörderische Black Canary, die den Ruf der Heldin besudelt und aufgehalten werden muss.

 Warum diese Folge wichtig ist: Wie schon im Falle von Saras Tod waren die Produzenten wohl auch nicht auf die Auswirkungen von Laurels Tod vorbereitet, aber immerhin haben sie diesen wichtigen Charakter, der sich in erst in dieser Staffel so richtig gefunden hat und sein volles Potential entfaltet hat, hier einen traurigen und herzlichen Abgegang gewidmet, auch wenn sie bessers verdient hätte.

Worum es geht: Slade Wilson kehrt in Olivers Leben zurück und bietet ihm um Hilfe, er will seinen Sohn Joe finden. Oliver stimmt zu, doch ihre gemeinsame Rettungsaktion nimmt eine Wendung zum Schlechten. Unterdessen taucht Vigilante wieder in Star City auf.

Leider auch zum letzten Mal, da trotz offenen Endes Manu Bennett nach diesem Zweiteiler aus Rechtsgründen nur noch in Archiv-Material zu sehen war. Auf jeden Fall stellt diese Folge seinen Sohn Joe vor, der die Serie noch einige Zeit als Gegenspieler begleitet hat.

Worum es geht: Während Olivers Aufenthalt im SuperMax eine besorgniserregende Wendung nimmt, schickt Dig Curtis auf eine Undercovermission für Argus und Dinah arbeitet mit Laurel zusammen.

Die Folge rollt also viele alte Handlungsstränge auf und beendet sie und ist zugleich eine der besten Folgen der ansonsten eher anstrengenden 7. Staffel.

Trotzdem ist die Botschaft bei Oliver wohl nicht angekommen, wenn man der Serienfinale bedenkt.

.Late night phone calls every night till school starts again, then again the first week Conrad goes off to college 

.Calling you any time he misses Conrad because he’s too stubborn to talk to him 

"You know you could just call him"

"Yeah, but he’s not as pretty to look at"

.You groan at how sweet he is and tell him to stop or you’re hanging up

.Jere making it onto the football team and showing up at your house the same day to tell you

.Laurel over hearing your excited voices in the hallway and coming to congratulate Jere

.Making him stay for dinner, making Steven drive to Costco to get a cake

"Its a celebration! we need cake" she stated

"Why me" Steven moaned 

"This is what happens when you wont let anyone else drive your car" Belly smiled at him with mock sweetness 

Steven rolled his eyes at her "This house is gonna fall into ruin when I leave for Princeton"

"And don’t forget the candles" you called out as the door slams shut behind him

.Steven brings leftover fourth of July sparklers instead

"Its what Susannah would have done" he shrugs to Laurel and she nods in the way you know she's holding back tears.

.Laurel tells Jere to stay the night cause its getting too late 

"but on the couch..and no funny business" she says looking at the two of you

.She gives Jere a hug, you notice its longer than usual, before she heads up to bed 

."She thinks I’m going to break like Connie"

"She’s just worried Jere, my mom loves you"

"Do you?" he smirks

.Neither of you have said it yet, not since Jeremiah had that night at the boardwalk

You lean up on your tip toes and put your lips gently on his 

‘Sometimes’ you say pulling away and smirking back at him 

.Jere sneaking up to your room at 2am and curling up next to you

.Pulling your hips back into him. You press up closer next to him and stifle a laugh as he groans into your hair 

‘I’m not gonna be responsible for what happens if you keep doing that’ he whispers

.You turn around to face him, he’s still golden in the dark 

."Will you come to my games?" he sounds like he’s scared to ask, scared of the response 

‘Every one’ you say 

.You know his Dad wont and Susannah’s too sick now 

.Jeremiah gets all shy and smiley the first time you come to his game

.You’re wearing your cheer outfit, wrong colours, but you’ve got his number painted on your cheek 

.Thats all he can focus on, that and how short your skirt is and 

"how come I’ve never seen you wear this before" he says pinching the hem of your skirt, his fingertips brushing an inch higher up your thigh

"I’ve been a cheerleader since freshmen year" you shove him away as he tries to wrap his arms around you

"Not mine" he says pulling you towards him and pinning you against his car door 

"You think you could keep this on for me tonight"Jere whispers into your neck 

"I’m going home Jeremiah" you laugh pushing him back enough to kiss him 

He grins at you. 

.You show up to every game like you promised, sometimes with Belly and Taylor, sometimes with Laurel, sometimes alone

.Always wearing his numbers

.Always holding up a dumb sign making him laugh every time he looks over at you 

.Jere looked amazing in his football gear, he'd gained more muscle from training and Laurel's never ending cooking, one thing she was gonna do, was take care of Susannah's boys. He played amazing too, almost as good as Conrad and you'd wished his dad would come to just one of these games

.But Jere had lost some of his sunshine, that 'golden boy sparkle' fading with every doctors appointment

.Jere picking you up and spinning you around, leaving kisses all over your face whether they won or lost and for a moment he was the old Jeremiah again, the one without the weight of a sick mother and absent father

.Wrapping up in blankets at his games when the leaves start changing colour

.Hugging him in it when he walks of the field

.Walking the long way back to the parking lot, with pink noses and chilled fingers intertwined, letting go only to race through piles of brown leaves

"Its not about how fast you get through them its about how many you crunch" he stated matter of fact, ignoring the amused look on your face

.Jere could never wait till you got inside the car to start kissing you, he'd pin you up against whatever surface was closest, one hand gripping your waist the other resting on your neck

."Opening the door takes 2 seconds" you smiled, still trying to catch your breath

."Sorry" he shrugged "haven't seen my girlfriend all week" he grinned down at you

.Making out with him for 'five more minutes' had turned into 2 hours trying and failing to keep his hands off you and eating leftover lunches, while whatever song of the week played on repeat in the background

"Its too late to drive" he said

"And who's fault is that...I've got to get home J" you sighed

"Let me drive you" he said, shifting your weight on him and letting his head rest back against the drivers seat

"No, then how will you get back?" you asked softly, leaning into him, leaving a trail of kisses on his neck

"Then stay" he tightened his grip on you, not wanting to lose the feeling of you on him

"I can't" you said

.His eyes plead with you and you silently cursed how far apart you lived

"Your mom's already here"

"Exactly why I can't stay Jere" you said resting your back against the steering wheel "She'll want me at home with Belly"

"Belly's not even at home with Belly" Jere let out an exasperated sigh

.You laughed and leaned back into him, foreheads pressing against each other

"You're right, take me to yours then boyfriend" you smiled, biting your lip

.Jere bumped his nose against yours

"Five more minutes" he whispered against your lips already pulling you back into a kiss

The soft crackles and hisses of the fading fireplace filtered in through the double french doors, leading in from the living room and into the dining room. The house smelt like cinnamon and sandalwood and you were starting to get a headache

"Mom I have to leave now if I wanna be ready by 9" you sighed

"-Anddd you can, just after you help me finish this" she said motioning to the boxes of what she liked to call Susannah's 'Martha Stewart collection'

Laurel walked around the white marble dining table and took both your hands in hers, bringing them up to her lips "Honey you're so much better at this than I am, and I just want it to feel like her autumn before they get back" she whispered

"Why can't I ever say no to you" you groaned, leaning into your mom for a hug

"Oh the drama" She laughs, giving your hair an affectionate tussle, before pulling out another glass pumpkin from one of the many boxes that lined the kitchen counter

You'd just finished perfectly positioning the last of Susannah's decorations when you heard the locks on the front door

"We're back" Jere's voice echoed through the hall

You rushed out to meet Susannah before Laurel could fuss her upstairs

"Do you like it?" you asked, your heart sinking at how small and tired she looked as you walked her around, showing off what you'd spent the last hour and half doing

Jere lingered behind, ready to take his mothers hand at any slight stumble in her step

"AD couldn't have done it better darling" Susannah smiled, pulling you into her teddy coat, leaving a kiss on the top of your head

"Laurel! she's even remembered the little squirrels on the mantel" Susannah squealed, pointing excitedly at the little family of figurines dressed in checkered coats

Everyone loved seeing her this way, all giddy and full of life over the smallest things, these moments were rare and they held onto the them as long as they could

"She definitely got switched at birth, y/n's you all over" Laurel laughed

"My first girl" Susannah sighed, squeezing your hand tighter. You could see a tear start to sparkle in her eyes and you knew your mom hadn't missed it either

"Alright, alright, god, you're worse than my mother in law, Beck" Laurel rolled her eyes, gently putting a hand on Susannah's back, leading her towards the stairs

"You two have fun tonight and I want lots of pictures" Susannah grinned at you and Jere, sharing a look between you both as Laurel glared at her and up the stairs

"Take care of her Jeremiah" Laurel said, as she started to make her way up as well "-And no drinking" she called down, before you hear the soft click of Susannah's bedroom door

He'd been quiet this whole time and you knew that meant today hadn't gone well

"You know we don't have to go tonight"

"What..and miss seeing you in a slutty little outfit" Jere smirked raising an eyebrow at you

You rolled your eyes at your boyfriend, tiptoeing up you brought him into a hug. You could feel Jere's body relax against yours, the weight of the day rolling of his shoulders as your shared the pressure he carried. He rested his head in the crook of your neck and breathed in, it felt like the first breath he'd taken all day

"The Doctors said her treatment has plateaued, they said it gets worse before it gets better, but I don't think she's going to get better" His voice breaks as he says that and you feel helpless not being able to do anything but hold him tighter

"She will, they'll keep trying" you whispered into his hair

Jeremiah pulled away, wiping his eyes with a nonchalance

"So when do you wanna leave" he asked, clearing his throat

"Jere, we really don't have to go"

"I need to get out of this house" He snapped

"-I'm sorry" He sighed, seeing the look on your face, "I just can't deal with this stuff all the time and Conrad was supposed to come today"

You nodded your head in understanding. Belly was supposed to be here too, she'd been avoiding seeing Susannah a lot these days, she said it was too hard for her. Laurel had been furious with her for weeks now. But Belly was the youngest, she had been too young to remember the first time Susannah got really sick. It was a little selfish and you hated being your mom's go to emotional crutch but you tried not to blame Belly too much. Especially because you could see how much harder it had been on Jeremiah with Conrad

Susannah's constant need for picture perfection had made Jeremiah a chronic people pleaser and Conrad an anxious avoidant. One desperately wanting to be there for his mother but suffocating under the burden of doing it alone and the other stifled by the desire to be there for his brother and see it through together but struggling with his inherent need to bottle up and run at any sign of vulnerability. Both of them fighting to maintain the facade of the 'White picket fence Americana Fisher Family' like their mother had always wanted

The Conklin's being the only thing keeping them grounded in reality. However ugly it currently was, it was their only solace

“How’s Y/N as a cast mate?”

That question shouldn’t make Tom Blyth smile that wide — but he does — because he’s so utterly and unconditionally inlove with you.

“Oh gosh, I wouldn’t even know where to start,” Tom begins. “As her boyfriend, I think I’m being pretty biased when I say this, but Y/N Avocot as a cast mate has honestly been the best experience of my life. There has not been a day where she doesn’t make me laugh so hard that my ribs start hurting, and there hasn’t been a day where she hasn’t made me smile.” He pauses for a moment, pondering the next words to say.

“Y/N’s just that type of person, you know? She’s like the warm sunlight that engulfs you every morning you open your curtains, she’s like that newly brewed coffee that helps hydrate and bring you back to life. She’s everything.” And he says this in such a loving manner that the interviewer practically awes, the cameraman zooming the camera to show Tom’s dilated pupil.

“Your pupils are dilated!” The interviewer mentions, laughing as she points towards his eyes.

“Oxytocin is a warm hormone that’s released when you talk about someone you love,” Tom shrugs. “All my friends say my pupils dilate when I’m near Y/N, that’s just the effect she has on people.”

“Well there it is folks! Tom Blyth is truly inlove with Y/N Avocot!”

Time 2: Sean Kaufman and Lola Tung

It was an interview discussing the new season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, and it consisted of Sean and Lola who’s schedules were the only ones that were open that day.

“Guys! We’re so happy to have you today,” the interviewer starts.

“Why thank you,” Lola smiles brightly into the camera, smoothing out her dress.

“So obviously, this season is very important to the plot, it contains so much new exciting storylines including Sean’s character, Steven Conklin, and Y/N’s character, Ella!”

“Yes,” Sean laughs, his eyes crinkling. “It was very fun filming the scenes with Y/N, she’s like that little rush of happiness that you just wanna keep inside a jar.”

“Actually!” Lola speaks up, crossing one leg over the other as she leans forward to the interviewer. “Now that Sean’s mentioning it, Y/N really is a rush of happiness. God, everyday on set, I always think ‘I’m gonna probably have to say my lines over a thousand times and be tired by the time I’m done’ but Y/N comes right in, and she’s always making funny faces behind the director which just fills my heart with joy and it’s those little moments that make acting really worth it you know? Like even though I’m dying re filming the same scene over and over again — I know that Y/N’s always going to cheer me up by the end of it.”

“Wow,” the interviewer laughs. “I haven’t even asked you guys about Y/N yet but she seems to be very loved by the crew.”

“Oh yeah,” Sean nods. “Everyone filming loves her. I mean, how could you not?”

And the interviewer thinks the same question, because after interviewing Tom Blyth, she really believes that you really cannot not love Y/N Avocot.

Time 3: Timothee Chalamet

“Timo!” The interviewer greets Timothee excitedly, moving the chair so he could sit.

“Jacob! My favorite interviewer,” and maybe Timothee’s lying, because he’s seen about a million interviewers by now, but it makes Jacob smile, not so much hating his job anymore.

“Your new movie, Miracles in Love, can you tell me more about that?”

“Yes,” Timothee takes a deep breath. “It’s about a boy and girl in their early twenties figuring out what they wanna be in life. My character, Louie Marcel, falls inlove with my co star — Y/N’s character — Maeve Jones after they bump into each other at the bar and talk about how depressing their lives are. It’s pretty funny, y’know. How easy it was to film with Y/N, in fact, it came all naturally.” Timothee pauses, a small smile playing on his lips.

“When you say naturally, what exactly do you mean by that?”

“Oh you know Jacob,” Timothee grins. “It’s easy to fall inlove with Y/N Avocot. She’s a remarkable actress, and everything that I filmed with her feels so real that it feels like I’m really Louie and I’m really falling inlove with a girl named Maeve at the local bar near my university.”

“Oh wow,” Jacob, the interviewer, can’t help but gush at Timothee’s endearing statement. “You must be very good friends.”

“Us? Of course!” He laughs as if it was one of the funniest statements on earth. “I’m really good friends with her boyfriend too, Tom. They’re honestly the sweetest couple, don’t know if I’m inlove with him or her. Maybe both,” he jokes.

“Hi — we’re Y/N Avocot and Tom Blyth — and this is the Wired Autocomplete Interview!”

You’re both handed a white board, bigger than your face, and there’s a list of questions with some of the words covered.

“Do you want to go first?” Tom asks, giving you a small smile.

“Yes! I’m pretty excited actually,” you begin to peel off the first question. “Okay, first question: what was Y/N Avocot’s first role?”

You think for a moment, “well in terms of roles in general, my first acting role was very small and I believe it was for this ice cream commercial as a kid. I’m not sure if it’s still up but my mom had signed me up for it and they thought I was a really cute kid so they casted me.”

Tom laughs, “really?” He then retrieves his board from the crew. “Okay my turn. Why does Coriolanus Snow turn evil?”

That question makes you slightly giggle, because it’s so broad that it’s nearly impossible for Tom to narrow down exactly what it is that made Coriolanus suddenly switch. “I believe you should be asking Suzanne Collins, shout-out to her for making the entire trilogy and prequel. But honestly? I think he was always power hungry, and even though Tigris tried her very best to bring out the humanity in him, it was just never enough. Especially after Sejanus’s death, I think Coriolanus realized there was no going back.”

“Oh wow,” you say, very impressed with how he decided to answer it. “That was a terrific answer Tom.”

“Thank you m’lady.” You giggle at his antics, rolling your eyes jokingly.

“What role does Y/N Avocot play in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes?” You clear your throat, imitating one of your character’s iconic resting bitch face.

“I play Balleona Laurent, duh.” You joke. “Anyway, yes, I play Balleona, also known as Leona. She’s originally from the Capitol just like Coriolanus. They met at the academy and she automatically knew she had to have him. She comes from the Laurent family, which is a very very wealthy, well off, intimidating family that Coriolanus knows he just has to get into, which is why they start dating. I don’t wanna spoil too much of Leona and Corio in the movie, soooo you guys should definitely check it out!”

“Alright,” Tom adjusts himself in his seat, ripping off the paper for the next question. “Does Tom Blyth have a girlfriend?”

He pretends to think, which makes you bite your lip, suppressing a laugh. “Hmm, very complex question.”

“Oh give the people what they want!” You tease, “yes he does. He’s inlove with Jennifer Lawrence.”

“I am not inlove with Jennifer Lawrence!” He exclaims quickly, “although I greatly admire her work. My girlfriend is Y/N Avocot over here, sadly.”

“Sadly?!” You fake offense, “cut the cameras. I’m gonna beat Tom up.”

You peel away at your next question, the interview already being loads of fun for the both of you. “Is Y/N Avocot a good singer?”

Your head falls forward, and Tom’s automatic instinct is to catch you, not realizing you’re only joking. “Oh God, I hope so!” You say, laughing as you pick your head up. “I’m no Mariah Carey but I like to think I’m a pretty okay singer.”

“More than okay,” Tom chimes in, which makes you laugh.

“Aw, thanks Tom.”

Tom reaches to peel another question off. “Is Tom Blyth American?” This question makes you almost spit out the water you were currently taking a sip out of. “Well, a lot of people get shocked when I say I’m from the UK. I mean, is my American accent that good?”

“Guess so,” you shrug. “Okay next. Is Y/N Avocot in The Summer I Turned Pretty?”

You clasp your hands together excitedly, giving the camera a wide smile. “Yes! I play Maekella Fisher, also known as Ella Fisher, Steven Conklin’s love interest and sister to Conrad and Jeremiah. The first season airs out soon so please stay tune for that! I’m so excited to be apart of this amazing show with such amazing people.”

“I always come to watch her on set,” Tom says, “they’re all such funny and charismatic people. I swear I’ve became friends with everyone on Y/N’s cast.”

“Okay, my last question,” Tom peels off the paper, grinning. “Will Tom Blyth star in another movie soon?”

He smirks, eyes playfully looking into the camera. “Who knows? But I do know that something exciting will be coming out soon so prepare yourselves!”

“Way to tease the crowd Blyth,” you say, rolling your eyes. “Anyway! My last question, this was quick. What is Y/N Avocot’s skincare routine? Oh, I’ve been waiting for this one.”

You sit on the edge of your seat, and Tom finds it endearing that you’re so excited about something as small as this.

“First, I rinse my face with cold water and I dip my face in a bowl of ice and water for 3 minutes. Afterwards, I put on my dewy toner from Innisfree, it’s so smooth and nice. Sometimes I’m too lazy for this step but I also put on sunscreen, it’s important so I always remind myself to not forget— but I love to use Supergoop Unseen’s Sunscreen. I use drunk elephant’s bronze drops if I wanna go for a sunkissed look that day, but I usually don’t. And then I just shake my Tower facial spray and spray it all over my face. Usually, I touch up my eyebrows and do my eyeliner but that’s really about it!”

“It’s true,” Tom adds. “She asked me if I could go buy her the tower spray yesterday because she was almost out.”

“No need to expose me like that,” you say, clinging your arms onto his. “Well thank you guys for watching!”

“Thank you!” Tom and you wave at the camera, smiling brightly.
