Anyone else disgusted with all the AI ads in the Olympics? (I never watch TV so this is the one time I'm seeing things streamed live from a cable company)

Like. It would be an ad for Olympic athlete-sponsored health care whatever, team USA USA USA hype, heartfelt messages about how the Olympics bring people together, the unifying bond of people, one planet, now let's sing Imagine and hold hands--

And then an ad would literally be like "hey Gemini, write a fan letter to an athlete for me"

ngl having bad brain times. Can you ever physically FEEL the lack of the get things done chemical

#the advice for depression is to do the things that you used to enjoy and wait for them to help again #it's good advice and it does work to an extent but listen #i don't choose when i find things enjoyable i fixate on a topic and everything becomes enjoyable again #it's not like doing hobbies or reading or cleaning or eating meals helps THAT much #it just keeps me busy and sane and makes my body keep working until i get some good brain chemical shipped in #then I'll remember everything i've been putting off but at least i'll be relatively functional at that point #it's not that all the depression tips are useless. i'd be much worse if i didn't do any of them #as it is i've made it over 25 years without even developing a nicotine addiction or a crippling dependence on alcohol #my joints are even still fine mostly and i can tell when to get out of a situation so i can keep living #now i even know when i want to be around someone and when i don't!#i'm basically great at existing i've studied with the masters #still.

As you can see in this small little paragraph there’s a word play that alludes to a plot device in a later chapter. If you go and look at it deeply you can see that the character is struggling to see his biggest fear in a positive light but can’t help but smile at the thought. It all showing that change doesn’t have to be what we think it is in the end.

finally tried hydrocodone for my back pain and THIS is the ~big scary opioids~ they've been talking about?! i know they're still ykno, serious medication but. i. feel. fine! i even took my other medication todayy!? i'd be angry but im honestly just. WHAT. i'm not in pain! yall coulda gave me this YEARS ago but you just didnt! i shouldnt have had to have figured this out all on my own especially with how it coulda easily gone sideways if i didnt have some awareness of what im doing?? fuckkk the war on drugs man. fuck it. shit.

edit: to be clear no i am not prescribed this i found some in the house it aint mine

#in terms of euphoria and anxiolysis this is equivalent to the barbiturate i got prescribed for migraines. which.#granted i drained the bottle in a few days but #STILL.#i feel like i deserve to choose between severe ending pain that makes me near housebound and stuck in this recliner all day #and potential addiction #like i feel like i should have that choice #especially since they're coming out with more treatments and safety measures for opioid addiction #ALSO especially because denying me adequate pain management is leading me to abuse other shit in ways that have nearly Killed Me #fuck the medical system so hard #fuck #julian rants #opioids tw #drugs tw
