217/366 Days of Growth

After intense days, it was great to have a relaxing weekend! We saw Deadpool and Wolverine for the second time, ate a lot of chocolate in the Chocolate Festival I'm Petrópolis (a colonial city near Rio), and I was able to plan my finances and study schedule for the week.

My husband did his best to provide me a lighter time, as I was getting bad due to the amount of work (with my job and self studies). He is lovely 🌹

Now I have energy enough to face August with some dignity 🥲😜

It was great to see and taste (with permission!) Vitis vinifera 'Fragola' (strawberry grape vine) at the Beth Chatto Garden, Essex. This is a productive variety that produces grapes that ripen in September with a lovely hint of strawberry flavour. The plant is good for cooler climates and it can be grown outdoors or under the protection of a greenhouse, polytunnel or conservatory. Fortunately there was a plant for sale in the nursery to take home to my Polycrub.

Was out shopping with mum and chanced upon the seasonal Honey Peach Ai-Yu Jelly Specials promotion for the month of March 2024 at Nine Fresh (九鲜). Decided on the spot to buy both the Honey Peach Ai-Yu A and B with added sweetened red beans (+S$0.70).

I know that mum wouldn’t like the chewy black pearls so I gave her the Honey Peach Ai-Yu A (草莓蒟蒻桃子爱玉). Hers came with the honey peach ai-yu, konjac jellies, strawberry pearl jellies and taro balls.

For my Honey Peach Ai-Yu B (珍珠椰果桃子爱玉), it has the same honey peach ai-yu jelly and taro balls but with nata de coco and black pearls. The sweet, pretty and ‘peach-ture’ perfect new seasonal desserts are such a thirst-quenching treat for our increasingly humid season.

hello, loves

good morning! i have a warm cup of strawberry green tea by my side as i write this, and a feeling that something good is coming.

today's quite a sad day (the rain won't stop)--but i'm sure i will be able to turn it around. at some point, i want to change into swimmers and play outside in the rain with my little brother.

last night i made a new pinterest account for myself, and deleted one of my old side blogs. i know that if i want my life to change (for the better), i have to change myself (my mindset) first. the blog and pinterest were very much holding me back (as silly as that may sound).

here's my to-do list for today: ☆ continue on my sehs glossary ☆ español study ☆ change my calendars to april (still haven't gotten around to it lmao) ☆ go for a walk ☆ english ct1a ☆ upper body training

i know that a lot of people don't work well with to-do lists but they help me SO MUCH. there's something about just having it all written down that allows me to be so much more productive.
