So, this strip isn't REALLY about burnout. I mean, I deal with that problem all the dang time and that fear did INSPIRE the ideas, but this is actually the beginning of what I'm hoping will be a pretty fun story arc.

The fact that I'm literally knocking on the panel border might be a clue as to where this is heading for some of my long-term fans. Hope you enjoy.

I'm back to scream into the void bc I HATED to see Montresor and Ada, like... I kinda wanna punch them both. NO. Scratch that, I kinda wanna punch Ada and I'd beat both the dying AND the living shit out of Montresor.

Not to be an Ada apologist, but I get where she comes from. It's sad seeing her being manipulated after the positive character development the mansion arc gave room for, and I'm a bit disappointed on the fact that we won't get that redemption arc (if we ever get it after this) soon. Still, I'm hoping she eventually brings Montresor down either way cause he fucking deserves it.

Quick Life Update

Actually feel i should say here too, as some might not be aware of it as it was only posted on twitter/patreon. But I had a very severe mental breakdown more than a week ago. I finally have regained enough strength and am stable enough to perhaps resume normal life again, but I'm still pretty fragile from how intense it was on my body to go through. No pressure, but if anyone wants to donate to help with food/rent/medical bills itd be much appreciated as I did lose a lot of days of work and have a lot of new things i need to pay for.

hiatus notice!

It's been a long time!! We are both well, but life has been collectively kicking both our asses a little bit, and the prospect of picking up and running the blog as consistently as we used to is feeling kind of daunting as a result. So we're going to step back for a little while and work on some other stuff while we clear our heads, and come back later ready to continue.

(how much later? unsure! But hopefully not long, we still both care a lot about the blog and its story. This isn't the last you'll see of it by a long shot :))
