Elwing's goodbye, for @nolofinweanweek filling both prompts for Day 4 and for Day 5 (Elwing, Elrond, Elros). Double posting today because I'm working the rest of the weekend and I don't think I'll get around any more prompts this year.
This hurt to paint lol. I need to go lie on a cold floor for a while.
Look all I’m saying is that the ball boys in tennis are the most Whumpee coded thing I have ever seen
They stand a perfect attention completely focused on their task
They’re quiet and non-intrusive
When it’s time to complete their one given task they bolt onto the field, immediately off, and resume the position as quickly as possible
They wear uniforms
They’re not paid
You know that clip of the poor kid that slips and bashes his face into the side? He just stands up with no fucking emotion and no one helps him. He just goes back to his job. Funny yes but also holy shit why did no one check if he was okay.
Why are there like six little whumpees running around every tennis match? Who allowed this? I wanna see them cry lmao
I noticed you've been making more art of Machete and Vasco after they met again as adults - is this canon? Do they get to rekindle their friendship after all, or is it still brief and bittersweet? (I love your characters and art, btw!)
Thank you! I'm glad you like them!
It's canon, I believe. After their confusing and apprehensive friends-to-lovers involvement ended in their early 20's, their paths end up crossing again unexpectedly in their mid 30's and things gradually grow from there.
Curious parallel really... Eddie's "Ain't that the truth." line. It took place way before Tommy's, and they picked a line they knew buddie shippers would recall because that's such an iconic buddie scene. Almost like they wanted us to remember that particular kitchen scene and return to it.
Eddie, were you perhaps discreetly making fun of your own indestructible closet when you made that wry comment about never having enough closet space...? Sounds like you were.
I'm going back and rewatching the season 2 episodes with Tommy so I can remember what he used to be like. In Hen Begins he's not hostile but he's definitely not trying to befriend her. There are homophobic jokes including one aimed at Tommy who laughs it off.
At the end of the episode Hen is called to the captains office. She is expecting Cpt Gerard to fire her and even says her goodbyes to Chimney. Instead she finds out that multiple people filed complaints against Gerard after she started. We can assume Chimney filed some of them but I like to think that Tommy also filed a few complaints himself.
The Decepticon rumor mill is a propaganda machine of its own kind. Tarn of the Mill: insatiable fuck monster😈, Tarn in reality with his nurse: saddest wet cat for cuddles 🥺
It's hilarious because it's true! Tarn gets results as a head of the DJD, and that division is a league of skilled cruelty of their own.
Mechs extend Tarn's eloquence to his berth, and if they witnessed the reality of Tarn as a wet noodle, then they would get secondhand embarrassment over his lack... of everything but his spike.
The Camien, in some ways, is very lucky that it's the constantly traveling Peaceful Tyranny that picked them up. Otherwise, they’ll see another part of gladiatorial influence: Challenges.
When you're trying to avoid a piece of media because you know you're going to be obsessed with it in an unhealthy way and then you get drAGGED INTO THE OBSESSION WHEN YOU HAVE A FUCKING EXAM THE NEXT DAY
