I just finished Babel by R.F. Kuang and I can’t stop thinking about Professor Craft. How she’s shown as the object of Letty’s total admiration for being the only female professor at Babel until she shuts down Letty’s questions about overcoming misogyny, how her refusal to acknowledge the institution’s misogyny frames her as complacent. However, she later proves herself to be a greater ally to the cause than Letty even would be. She is the first to believe Robin and Victoire about the war, she is the only white scholar to stay and join the revolution, she sacrifices herself to help Robin destroy the tower. Meanwhile, Letty betrays her friends and refuses to consider any oppression that isn’t her own. And I wish so badly that Letty could’ve seen Professor Craft when she told Robin and Victoire to surrender, that she saw that the woman she was desperate to emulate on the opposite side of the revolution and maybe then she would finally see that she was wrong

Soooo…. Uhm,I’mma just rant about new years resolutions because A) why not? and B) I feel like sharing :9

- For starters,I want to be more consistent…. And ik ik,I’ve already said this in a few other posts but now I wanna work on really putting my mind to it. And this doesn’t go JUST for my art,this goes for things like school too. As sometimes I don’t do homework I’m supposed to,so note to future self even tho I don’t like homework: DO IT YA BOZO!!!! - Wanna try and expand what I do in my art pieces,whether it be full pieces or just sketches. Like doing backgrounds more,trying harder poses,new ways to draw things (ex. Curly hair),etc.

- In my personal life to be better overall since I take note that I don’t always make the best choices and I want to work on that. (I mean,doesn’t everybody? /gen)

So yeh,those are my main resolutions for 2025 :3 and just happy new years folks,wish y’all the best <3

I can NOT be the only one confused about the messed up time line?? I get this episode was being in the works BEFORE s3, but it current states it just doesn't make sense??

"Look, you're all a lot to deal with, sooo I actually took a vacation" this line from mephone some what implies of s3, but quickly gets debunked from baseball getting confused and said that they just saw him last night. So s3 couldn't possibly have taken place before this episode, but maybe does imply that it was in the works, maybe thought about. But definitely not started, so in the next (final) episode it HAS to be taken place after s3, though I'm just personally hoping it ties together neatly. Instead of just simply continuing from ii15 in exact order, cause it just wouldn't make sense and be such a waste of potential in writing aspect, since such a long absence could hopefully take in consideration !!!

Forever thinking about Jaune Arc. When I was young like 11 or 12, we learned about Saint Joan of Arc. Then in 2013, rwby came out. And named a boy. Jaune Arc. His story doesn’t follow hers in anyway, nor does he burn at the stake for being a heretic. He isn’t guided by the supposed voice of god (at least I don’t remember that) And I know Jaune means yellow, or something to that affect and that’s why he’s named that, and I can see how he resembles her physically, minus his blond hair and the fact he’s a boy.

But his armor, his sword, his semblance. They remind me of her, just a little. His armor is pure white, with gold trim, some depictions of her have her in shining armor that look almost white, and his semblance is pure white light, I forget it’s name but it’s holy looking. I wonder if he would resemble her more. Have his hair turn black due to trauma, give him more armor, make it clear that maybe this voice of god is real, and only he can hear it. I haven’t watched the newest seasons, I stopped at 6 because life got rough for me. I plan on restarting rwby soon with my partner. But I’m genuinely curious if Jaune Arc is just his name or if he could have been more like her. I love Joan of arc, she to me, despite being a boy myself, is a very strict reminder that people don’t care if you can hear god, if you’re a woman they will find any excuse to burn you. Even if you ran a militia.

I know he isn’t meant to be her, but I think it would be cool ya know? My favorite saint, and my favorite rwby character.

Anyways; TLDR: headcanon that Jaune’s hair turns black as he either gets older, or seeing Pyrrha die and his hair and mind literally “turn dark” :)

Theres no distinction between Shibusawa and his ability because he's so infatuated by his ability and by his collection. So much so that his ability is, in a sense, himself.

Using his ability as a means to collect others' abilities is an integral part of who he is. Hes just bored, and collecting is what he's based his life around. Thats a reason why he doesnt care that one person must die for every single ability he has in his collection. It doesnt matter what happens to others as long as his reason for living is still intact and being fulfilled.

Approximating the height of the Ginyu Force off of the principle that Jeice is about 5'10, let's go get this bread

So. Starting with Ginyu himself. I think... he'd be about 7'5. I say this because he's definitely BIG but not the biggest, and when you assume a foot is about 1 head's height give or take, you get the idea that Ginyu is definitely bigger than 6'10. Not accounting for hair, I'd say Jeice stands at around mid-shoulder next to his captain. So I'm giving a hard toss on this one and giving us the 7'5 guess.

Uhh Guldo next. He's just above Jeice's waistline, so that makes him EXTRA small. Over a foot smaller than Jeice at that. I'm actually thinking maybe up to TWO feet smaller. Let's take a look, shall we? You take the height of two heads here, and you get about where the top Guldo's head lands. So I'm thinking he's 3'10 or so.

Uhh Recoome next! Okay. Let's see. He's really absurdly big like what's up with that.

I'd say Jeice stands at about where the bottom of Recoome's pectorals are? So he's at LEAST 7 feet tall. But, let's look at him next to Ginyu. He's got at least 2-3 inches on him. So I'm gonna say that he's around 7'7-7'8? It would make sense. On a normally proportioned being, 5'10 reaches about the place where the shoulder and bicep/triceps meet. So maybe a little taller. I'll give him a hard 7'9 and I grant him no further height.

And last but definitely not least, Burter! Blue guy. Largest man- I have to say that he definitely has at least 2 feet on Jeice, let's be real. In the reference image I'm using, Jeice is like at the bottom of his ribcage. Just above elbow height. And next to Ginyu, the captain is just above his shoulder, which means there's probably a difference of at least 8 inches there?? It's actually funny how large he is in hindsight. Okay let's see... I'm guesstimating that he's like at least 8'2 but let me see let me cook- on a normally proportioned human, 8'6 is around the height where 5'10 stands close to the bottom of the ribcage. But, if I'm using Recoome and Ginyu for additional reference, I think that he may be closer to 8'3 or so? So that's what I'll go with.

SO CONCLUSION:

My headcanoned heights for these guys goes as follows;

Ginyu, 7'5

Recoome, 7'9

Burter, 8'3

Guldo, 3'10

Jeice, 5'10
