Keep my Hand in Yours
Sanji x gn! Reader
wc: 1k
Warnings: angst, post wci, wci spoilers(obvs) angst with a happy ending.
You’re angry at Sanji after what happened, so angry, and maybe that makes you selfish. You don’t care.

You shouldn’t be angry at Sanji, this you know. You shouldn’t be avoiding him, shouldn’t be refusing to eat the meals he’s cooked or refusing to be in the same room with him, but you are. You are pissed at him, you don’t want to speak to him, you don’t care if he left to protect the crew.
He still left. And maybe that makes you selfish, but you don’t care. You had to sit there and watch as he yelled and fought with Luffy, as he was driven in a way in a carriage by a family you didn’t even know he had, to marry someone else.
You know that Sanji knows you’re angry, if the space he’s giving you is any implication. He doesn’t beg or plead, doesn’t corner you in the kitchen, demanding that you speak to him. The most he’s done is look at you, blue eyes impossibly sorrowful, remorseful, their own silent apology. It’s not enough.
It only takes a week for Zoro to corner you instead. “This is getting ridiculous.”
“What is?” You ask as you sweep the deck.
“You and Curly, fighting.”
“We’re not fighting.”
“Not talking, then.”
“What’s it matter to you? You don’t even like Sanji.”
He groans. “Just talk to him. His sulking is getting on my damn nerves and making the food taste bad.”
“Fine.” You snap, annoyed.
You watch as he walks away, practically steaming. To be honest, you didn’t think the swordsman, out of all crew members, would be the first one to say something. You suppose that’s how you know it's really bothering everyone.
***
You enter the kitchen for the first time in nearly two weeks and lean against the counter. Sanji is washing the dishes, but he knows you’re there, can tell by the way he tenses up.
“Just give me one moment.” He says to you, voice even and gentle, barely even a whisper.
You wait, bouncing your leg, trying not to let your nerves show too much.
The water shuts off and then it’s just you and him in the late night darkness of the kitchen.
“I don’t know how easy it’ll be to forgive you.” You tell him, eyes downcast.
“I understand.”
You close your eyes, taking a deep breath, annoyed. “I don’t think you do.”
He’s annoyed now too. Sad on top of it all. “Then help me understand.”
“I would’ve waited right alongside Luffy,” you tell him, the anger and hurt making the words sound like venom, but they’re true, “I would’ve stood right there, waiting for you to come back to me. How am I supposed to just forgive you?”
Sanji’s face breaks then, a sob leaving his body as if it’s been torn out of his chest and he falls to his knees, hands gripping your pants tightly as he whispers an apology over and over, a relentless heartbroken echo. You can feel the tears absorb into the fabric.
You know he is. God, you know he is. The tears fall freely from your face as you collapse, too.
He draws you into his chest, burying his tear stained face into your hair. “I couldn’t bear to see you hurt, I know you don’t want to hear it, but it’s true. You’re everything to me.”
“And you’re everything to me. What was I going to do if you had died, like they had planned, or if you had decided that your bride was enough to make you forget about me? Forget about the crew?”
He takes your face in his hands almost immediately, his blue eyes dark in the moonlight, but you can still see the panicked desperation in them. “Never. I’d never forget about you.”
“She was in love with you.”
“I don’t care. I don’t care about any of it. Out of all the crew members, you were the one they had used against me the most. I don’t care what I had to do to keep you safe, I was going to do whatever they wanted.”
“You know what I’m going to say, Sanji.”
He pulls you closer. “I know. I can’t promise that I won’t try to sacrifice myself for you anymore. Any of you.”
“I can’t promise that I’ll forgive you right away each time.”
Sanji kisses your fingers. “Just….I need you to talk to me when you’re angry, even if all you do is tell me you’re upset. I can’t do this again.”
You kiss him on the cheek, just once. Softly, like it didn’t even happen. “Of course. Whatever you want me to do.”
“Are you still angry with me?” He’s smiling softly though, like he already knows the answer and doesn’t care.
“Pissed beyond belief.” You tell him, but you know that it’s still the leftover fear. The fear that you almost did lose him, that him riding away in the carriage could’ve been the last time you ever saw him.
“That’s alright,” he kisses your head and then stands, “are you hungry?”
You nod. “Starving, actually. The sandwiches I’ve been making can’t compare to your cooking after all.”
“I’d eat whatever you made,” he tells you, “even if it was disgusting and gave me food poisoning.”
You laugh, wrapping your arms around him. “I love you.”
“I love you too. Now, no distracting the cook. Go sit at the table and look pretty.”
You roll your eyes but do as he says. As you watch him cook from your place at the table, you know that there are going to be times when he thinks he knows what you need; thinks he knows about what’s best for you. You know it’ll lead to someone getting hurt or an argument, or whatever else happens in the aftermath, but you also know that you’re prepared to make it better, that you’d rather have him to argue with then you would rather have a body to bury and a eulogy to read out.
He walks towards you, putting a bowl of soup, reheated on the stove, in front of you, before you grab him by the hips and pull him into a simple kiss. When he pulls away, he sits next to you, holding your non-dominant hand. You don’t dare let go

Busted! (Secret Relationship)

what if the two of you are in a secret relantionship and suddenly everyone start to realize something is going on?
characters: zoro, sanji, law, koby, ace
(luffy, sabo, kid, shanks, bartolomeo)
words count: around 0.8k - 1.3k each
masterlist || ao3 || ko-fi
── .✦ Zoro:
The Thousand Sunny is quiet most days, but today feels especially peaceful. The crew’s scattered across the deck sunbathing, napping, playing cards, and you? You’re on a mission.
Zoro’s disappeared again.
“Where did he go this time?” you mutter, padding softly down the hallway. You’ve checked the deck, the crow’s nest, even behind the kitchen. Nothing. Then you think... of course! The training room.
Sure enough, you step inside and spot him, dead asleep on the floor, his swords lying beside him like loyal dogs. He looks peaceful, his breathing deep and even. You smile. He really can sleep anywhere.
You don’t mean to sit down next to him, but somehow, you do.
Just for a minute.
Just long enough to rest your head against his shoulder.
Next thing you know, it’s dark. The room’s dipped in shadow, the ship creaking gently. You jolt upright, a little dazed.
“Zoro—sorry, I didn’t mean to—”
But he just grunts, shifting a little. His shoulder doesn’t move from under your cheek.
It becomes a pattern after that.
You find him again a few days later, this time slumped in a corner of the dining room. You lie down nearby. Sleep drags you under before you can think twice. When you wake, your head is in his lap.
“You’re fine” he murmurs, when you apologize again. Like it’s no big deal. Like he’s used to you being there.
And you start to think… maybe he is.
The naps become frequent. Easy. Comfortable. You stop trying to come up with excuses. You sit beside him on the deck while the others chatter. You lean against him while he sharpens his swords. He never pulls away.
One night, you find him leaning against the wall of the storage room, eyes half-lidded, arms crossed. The moment you walk in, he straightens, just barely, but enough for you to know he was waiting.
He pulls you in without a word. A kiss. Slow, familiar. His hands are warm on your back.
“I missed you” you whisper against his collarbone.
Zoro exhales through his nose “You saw me four hours ago.”
“Still.”
He doesn’t argue. Just leans his forehead against yours.
It’s sweet. Undisturbed. Until you hear footsteps and both of you freeze.
“Shhhit” you whisper, slipping away as quiet as you can.
Neither of you sees Chopper peeking from behind a barrel.
The next day, the crew is watching. Not subtly.
You notice Nami watching you with a knowing smirk. Robin sips her tea, but there’s amusement in her gaze. Sanji is glaring daggers at Zoro (okay, that’s normal), but Usopp is squinting at you both like he’s trying to solve a puzzle.
You clear your throat “What?”
Usopp narrows his eyes further “You and Zoro have been acting weird.”
Your heart nearly stops.
You glance at Zoro, who doesn’t even flinch as he takes another bite of his rice “What the hell are you talking about?”
“That you two are obviously acting weird lately...” Nami finally says.
Zoro doesn’t even blink “You’re imagining things.”
“You’re eating your vegetables...” she points out.
Zoro shrugs “Coincidence.”
“You showed up early to dinner” Usopp adds, suspicious.
“Must’ve been a fluke.”
Brook, not missing a beat, says, “I saw you napping with her head on your lap again. Yohohoho~”
You wish you could melt into your chair. But Zoro? Calm as ever.
“She was tired,” he says flatly “What’s the problem?”
Luffy gasps dramatically “You’re dating!!”
Zoro sighs “We were resting.”
You stare at your plate, but a warm touch to your hand under the table grounds you.
Zoro, looking at you like the whole world could wait.
Days pass. You try to be extra careful. Less glances. Less sneaky meetings. Less…everything.
But it doesn’t matter.
Because one night, the crew catches you.
It happens so fast. One moment, you’re on watch duty, and the next, Zoro is there, dragging you into a kiss. It’s heated, his hands gripping your waist, your fingers tangled in his hair, completely lost in each other.
Then “AH-HA!!”
You jolt apart.
Usopp is pointing at you both, eyes wide with betrayal “I knew it!!”
The entire crew is gathered behind him, staring.
Luffy tilts his head “Wait, were we not supposed to know?”
Sanji is fuming “Why him?! You could do so much better, Y/N-chan!”
Robin chuckles “It was quite obvious, honestly.”
Chopper bounces excitedly “I saw them sneaking around weeks ago!”
You cover your face in embarrassment “Oh my god, it was you!”
Zoro groans, rubbing the back of his neck “Tch. Should’ve known you idiots would figure it out. You never mind your own business.”
Luffy grins “Well, at least you don’t have to sneak around anymore!”
Zoro pauses, then shrugs “Guess that’s true.” He turns to you, smirking “Means I can kiss you whenever I want now.”
Your face burns “Zoro!!”
The crew erupts in laughter (except for Sanji, he cries louder).
Secret’s out.
Now you nap by his side without hiding. You lean against him on long afternoons. You sit close at meals. Luffy teases you both constantly. Sanji mutters curses under his breath. But it’s fine.
It’s more than fine. It’s peaceful.
That night, after dinner, you find yourself heading below deck. The ship rocks gently with the sea, moonlight shining through the portholes.
You already know where you’ll find him.
He’s sitting in the training room, back against the wall, swords neatly stacked beside him. When you walk in, he glances up, but he doesn’t say anything.
You sit beside him, stretching your legs out in front of you.
“I thought I might find you here” you say.
Zoro grunts, not disagreeing.
Silence settles in. Comfortable. You shift slightly, laying your head in his lap. He doesn’t move, just lets his fingers find their way into your hair, slow and soothing.
It’s a simple thing. The kind of closeness that doesn’t ask for anything in return.
His hand runs gently over your scalp. You feel your eyes drifting shut again.
“I like this” Zoro says, voice low, almost a rumble.
You blink sleepily, your cheek still pressed to his thigh “Hm?”
“You. Sleeping like this.” He pauses “On my lap.”
Your heart flutters at the quiet honesty. You glance up at him, but he’s not looking down, he’s staring straight ahead, the barest hint of pink on his cheeks.
“I like it too” you murmur.
Zoro’s thumb brushes just behind your ear, then down the back of your neck, repeating the motion. A steady rhythm. Grounding. Careful.
His fingers slip into your hair again, and he continues tracing lazy circles on your scalp. His other hand rests lightly on your arm, as if to say, I’ve got you.
You drift off to the sound of his breathing, calm and slow.
The next morning, sunlight filters through the windows.
You wake slowly, still curled up in Zoro’s lap. His fingers are tangled gently in your hair, and his thumb brushes your temple in slow, steady passes.
You tilt your head, eyes meeting his.
“How long have you been awake?” you whisper.
Zoro smirks, eyes warm “Long enough.”
You stretch, reluctant to move.
“I’m comfortable” you mumble.
He doesn’t stop touching your hair “Good.”
“Zoro?”
“Hm?”
“I think I’m getting used to this.”
He finally looks down at you, something quiet in his expression, softness, maybe. Peace.
“Yeah,” he says “Me too.”
And you smile, because in this floating world full of chaos, monsters, and adventure… it’s the quietest moments like this that feel the most real.
── .✦ Sanji:
Sanji is always everywhere. In the kitchen. On the deck. Serving drinks. Flirting with Nami and Robin. Spinning around like the lovestruck idiot he is.
Which is exactly why no one suspects a damn thing.
No one notices how his hand brushes against yours just a little longer when he passes you a plate. No one questions why he always makes extra of your favorite dish. And no one, not even Usopp, the self-proclaimed detective, realizes that when Sanji disappears from the kitchen at night, it’s to be with you.
Like right now.
It’s past midnight, and the kitchen is dimly lit. The scent of fresh tea and something sweet lingers in the air as you lean against the counter, watching Sanji work. His sleeves are rolled up, his vest discarded, and the soft glow of the lantern makes his golden hair look even more unruly.
“You’re spoiling me” you murmur as he places a small plate in front of you a delicate pastry, still warm.
Sanji grins, wiping his hands on a towel “Of course, mon amour. What kind of man would I be if I didn’t?”
You take a bite, humming in satisfaction “Mmm. Amazing.”
His eyes soften as he leans in, resting his palms on the counter on either side of you “I can think of something even sweeter.”
Before you can respond, he captures your lips in a slow, lingering kiss. You melt into him, gripping the fabric of his shirt as his fingers gently tilt your chin up. His lips taste like mint and a hint of the dessert he just made, and you lose yourself in the warmth of him.
Then a loud BANG from outside the door.
Both of you freeze.
Sanji pulls back, glancing at the entrance “Shit—”
You practically shove him away, wiping your lips as the door swings open.
“Oi, I swear, I'm not here to see your ugly face, I need—”
Zoro stops mid-sentence, looking between the two of you. His eyes narrow.
Your heart stops.
Sanji, ever the smooth talker, immediately turns to glare at him “Moss-head, do you have no manners? Barging into my kitchen?”
Zoro scowls “Tch. Like I wanna be here. Luffy’s whining about meat, and I—” His gaze shifts back to you. Suspicious.
You force a casual smile “Uh… late-night snack?”
Zoro doesn’t look convinced. His eyes flick between the two of you once more before he grunts “Whatever. Just bring food before Luffy eats Chopper.”
He turns and leaves.
You don’t breathe until the door clicks shut. Then you glare at Sanji “We almost got caught.”
Sanji just smirks, brushing his fingers over your wrist “But we didn’t.”
You always try to act normal. You really do. But Sanji makes it so damn difficult.
He’s always sneaking glances at you across the table. Always brushing against you when he walks by. Always bringing you your favorite snacks, acting like it’s nothing.
And apparently, the crew is starting to catch on.
“You guys ever notice that Sanji doesn’t flirt with Y/N as much as he does with Nami and Robin?” Usopp suddenly asks one day.
Your spoon nearly slips from your hand.
Franky strokes his chin “Huh. Now that you mention it…”
Brook chuckles “Ohhh, that is unusual.”
Luffy, mouth full, tilts his head “But Sanji flirts with everyone.”
Zoro scoffs “Yeah. Except Y/N.”
Your stomach drops.
Sanji, who had been stirring a pot at the stove, doesn’t even flinch “I’m just being a gentleman.”
Nami raises an eyebrow “Are you, though?”
Sanji turns, flashing his usual charming smile “Of course, my dear! Why would I treat Y/N-chan any different?”
You force a nervous laugh “Right! That would be weird, huh?”
They don’t look convinced.
Robin simply sips her tea, giving you both a knowing look.
In the end, it’s Luffy who ruins everything.
One day you and Sanji are in the storage room, tucked away between crates of supplies, wrapped up in each other. His hands are in your hair, his lips teasing against yours, and the rest of the world doesn’t exist... at least until the door slams open.
“SANJI, ARE YOU IN HE—oh.”
Luffy stops. Blinks. Tilts his head.
You and Sanji are frozen in place, practically tangled together.
Luffy’s face slowly lights up “OOOOHHHH!!!”
You scramble back “L-Luffy, it’s not what it looks like—”
“YOU GUYS WERE KISSING!!”
Sanji sighs, rubbing his temples “Goddammit.”
Before you can even try to shut him up, Luffy sprints out of the room.
You stare at the door in horror “Oh no.”
“OH YES” Sanji groans, already dreading what’s about to happen.
“GUYS!!” Luffy yells at the top of his lungs “SANJI AND Y/N ARE KISSING!!”
A beat of silence. Then an explosion of multiple “WHAT?!”
Usopp “I knew something was up!!”
Franky “That’s SUPER unexpected!”
Brook “OHOHO, young love~!”
Chopper “How long has this been going on?!”
Nami “You guys really thought you were being secretive?”
Robin chuckles knowingly “Adorable.”
Zoro grinning smugly “Called it.”
Sanji groans, burying his face in his hands “Kill me now.”
You sigh, crossing your arms “Well. Secret’s out.”
Sanji straightens, huffing dramatically before flashing you a smirk “At least now I don’t have to hold back anymore, mon amour~”
He dips you backward, kissing you full on the mouth right in front of the crew.
Cue, another round of screaming.
── .✦ Law:
Dinner on the Polar Tang is always loud. Jokes, clinks of silverware, and Bepo’s laugh echo off the metal walls.
You sit between Shachi and Penguin, pretending to listen to their story about a giant sea bass they swear was “this big”, but your eyes keep drifting across the table to Law.
Your secret boyfriend. Your captain. The man who never smiles in public, but melts when you’re alone.
No one knows. Not even Bepo. You’ve kept it quiet for months. Private looks, quick touches in dark halls, and soft kisses in his room late at night.
Today, before dinner, you stopped by his quarters. Things got… heated.
“Hold still” you say, laughing as you straddle his lap, pressing kiss after kiss on his jaw, his cheek, his neck.
“You’re gonna leave marks” Law murmurs, but his hands stay firm on your hips.
“Good,” you whisper against his throat, lips painted with your favourite lipstick “Let everyone wonder who’s bold enough to kiss the Surgeon of Death.”
He smirks, but you clean him up after. Or so you think.
Now, mid-dinner, you notice it.
Right on the collar of his white shirt, just above the neck, there's a soft red smudge. Lipstick. Your lipstick.
Your eyes widen.
Shachi nudges you “Hey, is that… is there something on Captain’s shirt?”
Penguin leans forward “Yo, Captain. You spill something?”
Law blinks. Looks down “What?”
Bepo tilts his head “No, that looks like lipstick.”
Silence falls over the table. Everyone stares.
You try to act innocent, chewing your food and glancing around like you’re just as confused.
“Lipstick?” you say, blinking “Who around here even wears lipstick?”
They all look at Ikkaku.
She doesn’t even look up from her bowl “Not me,” she mutters “That's not even my color.”
Penguin raises an eyebrow “So… that means…” He turns his head slowly toward you “You’re the only one who does.”
Shachi points between you and Law “Wait… Are you two…?”
Law doesn’t say a word. He just sips his tea like nothing’s happened.
You smile, wide and unapologetic “Guess I missed a spot.”
Silence.
Then chaos.
“WHAT?!” Shachi practically jumps over the table “YOU AND THE CAPTAIN?!”
“How long?!” Penguin shouts, eyes wide “Since when?! HOW DID WE NOT NOTICE?!”
Bepo stands up so fast he knocks over his stool “You’re dating the captain?!”
You raise an eyebrow “You guys okay? You look like you’re gonna pass out.”
“Don’t play innocent!” Penguin waves his spoon “You’ve been sneaking around with him! That’s our captain!”
Shachi gasps dramatically “All those times you disappeared after dinner… And that one time you came back with messy hair! I thought it was just wind!”
“Eheh, I am the wind” you say with a smirk.
Law sighs “You’re all loud.”
Bepo stares “So it’s true? You and Y/N?”
Law glances at you, then shrugs “Yeah.”
Another wave of panic.
“THE WAY HE SAID THAT!” Penguin screams.
“SO CALM—SO COOL—WHAT THE HELL!” Shachi is holding his head like it might explode.
Ikkaku finally looks up, deadpan “You’re all idiots.”
You lean into Law’s side, resting your head on his shoulder.
“Told you they’d freak.”
“Mm,” Law mutters “Still worth it.”
Bepo sniffles “I feel so betrayed… I thought we were a family.”
“We are,” you say “Just… a family with a very attractive captain who’s taken.”
“STOP,” Shachi yells “I CAN’T UNSEE IT.”
Law smirks just a little. And you can’t help it, you kiss his cheek in front of everyone, just to drive them a little more insane.
It’s been two days since The Lipstick Incident.
Two days of nonstop teasing.
“Morning, Y/N.”
“Or should we say Mrs. Surgeon of Death?”
You roll your eyes as Shachi and Penguin trail behind you like annoying seagulls.
“Captain! Can Y/N still go on missions or is she on girlfriend duty today?”
“Should we start knocking before entering the medbay now?”
Law mostly ignores them. Mostly. Except that time he dead-eyed Penguin and said, “Keep talking and I’ll switch your arms.”
The jokes died down for a few hours after that. But Bepo has become the most dramatic.
“I still can’t believe I found out at dinner like that,” he says, curled in a blanket like he’s mourning “I needed time to process.”
You plop down next to him on the couch “We didn’t mean to keep it from you. It was just… easier that way.”
He looks at you “Are you happy with him?”
You pause, then smile “Yeah. He makes me feel safe. And seen. Even if he doesn’t say much.”
Behind you, Law’s voice chimes in “I say plenty.”
You turn, surprised “You were eavesdropping?”
“It’s my ship.”
He walks over, drops a kiss on your forehead right in front of everyone. You expect chaos again, but the room is quiet.
Then Bepo grins “Okay. I approve.”
Shachi sighs “Fine. But if we ever hear weird noises from the engine room again—”
“—I will personally sedate you” Law cuts in.
The crew bursts into laughter.
Penguin raises his cup “To our captain and his secret weapon—Y/N!”
Everyone cheers. Even Ikkaku raises an eyebrow and gives you a subtle nod.
You look up at Law. He doesn’t smile much. But you see softness around the eyes, just for you.
Secret’s out. And honestly? It feels kind of nice.
── .✦ Koby:
The marine base is quiet at night, almost peaceful. You walk along the edge of the courtyard, your boots barely making a sound on the stone floor. The moon is high, casting soft light over the base. You pause near the training field and look around. No one’s there.
Good.
“Koby?” you whisper, stepping behind a storage shed.
A soft rustle comes from the shadows. Then he steps out. His hair is a little messy, his uniform jacket open.
“You’re late” he says, but he smiles.
You roll your eyes “Only by five minutes.”
Koby glances around. He takes your hand and pulls you closer into the shadow of the wall. His hand is warm. You lean into him, your heartbeat fast.
“If anyone sees us…” he says, his voice low.
“No one will,” you say quickly “They never do.”
He chuckles “We’re getting good at this.”
“You mean I’m getting good at it,” you tease “You still get nervous when someone says my name.”
“That’s because Garp keeps watching me like he knows something” Koby says, eyes wide.
You laugh “Maybe he does.”
Koby groans “Don’t say that.”
You lean up and kiss his cheek “Relax. We’re always careful.”
He smiles at you, that soft look he only gives when it’s just the two of you “I missed you.”
“I saw you this morning.”
“That doesn’t count. You were in uniform. You called me Sir.”
You smirk “Would you prefer Captain Sweetheart?”
Koby covers his face, laughing quietly “Please don’t.”
The sound of footsteps suddenly cuts the moment short.
You both freeze.
“Did you hear that?” you whisper.
Koby nods, already pulling away. You both hide behind the shed just as two lower-ranked marines walk by, talking about some drill tomorrow. They don’t see you.
Your heart pounds. When the footsteps fade, you let out a breath.
Koby looks at you, serious now “We can’t keep doing this forever.”
You know what he means. But you don’t want to think about it. Not tonight.
“Let’s just have this,” you say “Right now.”
He nods slowly, fingers brushing against yours again “Right now.”
Neither of you say the words out loud, but they’re there, floating in the silence.
This is dangerous but it’s totally worth it.
The sky looks angry today.
Wind whips through the courtyard, and the clouds hang low like they’re ready to fight someone. Fitting, considering your brain’s in a brawl with itself after what Helmeppo said the day before.
"Koby, huh?"
You can’t stop hearing it. His smirk. That I-know-something-you-don’t-want-me-to-know tone.
You march past the barracks, straight toward the supply shed, your usual spot. You pace in tight circles. The door creaks. Koby walks in, drenched from the rain already starting.
“I heard Helmeppo” he says.
You nod “I didn’t tell him anything.”
“I know. But he knows. He’s probably telling his pillow right now.”
You snort, even though your chest feels tight.
“What do we do?” you ask.
Koby looks out the cracked window “I don't think anyone would even care about what Helmeppo says, but I’ve been thinking about it all day.”
You wait.
“…What if we stop hiding?”
You blink “Just like that?”
He shrugs “We tell the truth. If we get in trouble, we get in trouble. At least it’s not lying anymore.”
You walk up to him, water dripping from the edge of the window onto your boots “You’re serious?”
He nods “You’re worth the risk.”
Before you can answer—BOOM! The door BURSTS open like it owes someone money.
There stands Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp, holding a giant sack of snacks.
“I KNEW IT!” he bellows, pointing a meat bun at both of you like it’s a pistol “I KNEW YOU TWO WERE SWAPPING LOVE NOTES INSTEAD OF LOGBOOKS!”
Your soul nearly leaves your body. Koby jumps like he just got hit by lightning.
Garp stomps inside, water puddling under his boots “You think I’m old and blind?! I see everything! The glances! The disappearing acts! The suspiciously timed bathroom breaks!”
You and Koby look at each other, stunned.
“I—uh—we weren’t—” you stammer.
Garp holds up a finger “Don’t lie! I’ve seen more romance in your sneaky hallway nods than in a whole damn soap opera!”
Koby finally finds his voice “Vice Admiral Garp, we—”
Garp grabs two rice balls from his bag and tosses them at your heads.
“About time! I was betting with Sengoku you two would crack by this month!” He slaps Koby on the back so hard he almost falls over “Make it work, kiddo. Or I’ll make you regret everything.”
He stomps back into the storm, yelling at the sky.
“I WANT A WEDDING INVITE WHEN THIS BLOOMS INTO MARINE-SANCTIONED LOVE!”
Then he’s gone.
The silence is unreal.
“…Did he just bless our relationship and threaten us at the same time?” you ask.
Koby looks dazed “I think he also gave us lunch.”
You both stare at the rice balls on the ground.
You reach for one “So… no more hiding?”
Koby grins “No more hiding.”
You nod “Good. But that wasn’t romantic. That was a jump scare.”
By the next morning, everyone knows.
You’re not sure how.
Maybe it was Garp yelling across the courtyard. Maybe it was the rice ball slap. Maybe it was the way Koby smiled at you in front of a full squad meeting like it was no big deal. But now, it’s official.
You’re walking through the halls and two marines actually wink at you.
One gives you a thumbs-up. Another whispers, “Cute couple” like this is high school.
And then there’s Helmeppo, waiting by the stairs like he’s been practicing his lines all night.
“Well, well, well,” he drawls “Look who finally stopped sneaking off like a pair of guilty raccoons.”
You roll your eyes “Don’t you have training or something?”
“Oh, I do. But this is more fun,” he says, grinning “You two really had me fooled. All those ‘Yes, sir’s and ‘Permission to speak freely’s. Cute. Very professional. Very fake.”
“I will tape your mouth shut” you say calmly.
“Spicy,” Helmeppo whistles “No wonder Koby’s in love.”
You expect Koby to stammer. To panic. To turn bright red and pretend none of this is happening.
Instead, he wraps his arm around your waist and says “Yeah. I am.”
What.
You turn to him “Who are you and what did you do with the shy marine I was dating in secret?”
He grins, a little pink in the cheeks, but steady “I’m done hiding. I like holding your hand. I like saying it.”
Helmeppo looks personally attacked “You’re gonna make me throw up.”
Koby shrugs “Go drink some water.”
You’re still trying to recover from the whiplash when Koby turns to you again, softer this time. No audience, no drama, just him.
“I missed being close to you,” he says “Even just walking next to you without pretending it means nothing. I hated pretending.”
Your heart tugs.
“I know,” you say “I did too.”
He leans in, forehead resting lightly against yours “Now I can do this.”
He kisses you. Just a short, sweet kiss. Right there in the hallway.
Someone behind you gasps. Someone else claps. It’s probably Garp. Or Helmeppo. Or both.
You laugh into Koby’s shoulder “We’re never gonna hear the end of this.”
“Good,” he says “Let them talk.”
── .✦ Ace:
It starts small.
Ace, lover of chaos and borderline inedible food, begins pushing onions off his plate.
At first, nobody says anything. Maybe he just wasn't in the mood. Maybe he’s just not feeling it today.
Then it happens again.
And again.
.........And again.
By the fourth time, Thatch is watching him like he’s trying to solve a murder.
“You good, man?”
Ace blinks, mid-push “Huh?”
“You keep banishing onions like they stole your ship or something.”
Ace shrugs “They just taste weird lately.”
Thatch narrows his eyes “You used to eat them raw.”
“Tastes change.”
“You once drank onion juice.”
“I was bored.”
“You said it ‘cleared the sinuses.’”
Ace looks up at him with a done expression “…And it did.”
Thatch is unconvinced. He stares at the sad pile of abandoned onions like they hold answers.
A few days later, Marco walks across the deck and almost trips over you.
You’re napping.
Not unusual. But you’re napping exactly like Ace. Flat on your back. Arm flopped over your face. One boot still on, one off. Dead to the world.
Marco leans down “You good?”
You snore lightly and mumble something about “I hate onions... mh”.
Marco’s eye twitches.
He walks off slowly and finds Thatch.
“We have a situation.”
Izou, Marco, Thatch, and Jozu sit in a huddle like they’re planning a heist.
Thatch slaps down a napkin with dramatic flair.
“Exhibit A: Ace has stopped eating onions.”
“Exhibit B,” Marco adds, “she naps like a dead log in the middle of the deck. Just like him.”
“Exhibit C,” Izou says, adjusting his coat, “he brushed his teeth twice in one day.”
Silence.
Jozu blinks “…What does that mean?”
Izou sighs “He’s trying not to taste bad, obviously.”
Marco nods slowly “Only one reason for all this.”
Everyone says it at once “He’s kissing someone.”
They all lean back like they’ve cracked the code.
Thatch grins wide “And we all know someone who always hated onions.”
Back on deck, you yawn and stretch, bumping into Ace as he leans on the rail.
“Morning” he says, smiling softly.
“You smell like mint” you mutter, surprised.
He leans in slightly “That a bad thing?”
You shake your head, trying not to grin “Nah. Kinda hot, actually.”
What you don’t notice is the small army of Whitebeard pirates across the deck, hiding behind barrels, crates, and a suspiciously placed sail, watching you both with the intensity of trained spies.
Thatch whispers, “Look at him. He’s glowing.”
Marco squints “Is that a love glow?”
Jozu nods “He’s never glowed before.”
Izou fans himself “My heart can’t take this.”
Thatch whispers like he’s narrating a nature documentary “Observe: the rare, emotionally available Ace, brushing his teeth and avoiding onions for the sake of romance.”
Marco chuckles “Should we say something?”
Thatch shakes his head, evil smile creeping in “Not yet. Let’s have a little fun first.”
The crew knows. You just don’t know that they know. Which is why things get weird really fast.
First, Thatch starts offering you food. All the time. Which wouldn’t be strange except “Here, Y/N, extra meat, no onions. Just how you like it” he says sweetly, placing it in front of you with a wink.
You blink “Thanks…?”
He beams “Y’know. For important stuff. Like kissing for example.”
You choke “What?”
“Kissing your enemies goodbye in battle, of course. Wouldn't be cool if you smell like onions.” he says innocently “What else would I mean?”
You narrow your eyes. He walks off humming the wedding march.
Weird.
Later that day, Marco corners Ace.
“You ever think about switching toothpaste brands?”
Ace looks up from his nap spot, squinting “What?”
“I heard mint’s nice” Marco says, deadly casual.
Ace raises a brow “I already switched. Why?”
“No reason,” Marco shrugs “Just figured you’d want to impress… someone.”
“…Like who?”
Marco just walks off.
Ace stares after him, confused.
Then there’s Izou.
He appears next to you while you’re doing your hair, watching like a hawk.
“Hmm” he says thoughtfully.
“What?”
“You’ve got a new little strand tucked behind your ear. That’s new.”
You frown “So? My hair just got a bit too long.”
“Just reminds me of how Ace tucks his hair sometimes. Cute. Subtle. Copying your crush is a classic move.”
You freeze “Wh-What crush?”
He smiles slowly “Oh, I didn’t say you had one.”
You almost trip over the comb.
And don’t even get started on Jozu. He starts playing “matchmaker” out of nowhere.
“Hey Y/N, what do you think of guys with freckles?”
You pause “I mean, freckles are nice... why?”
“No reason.” He grins “You like fire powers too?”
“…You’re literally describing Ace.”
“Am I?” he says, like he’s shocked at himself.
You walk away suspicious. The crew snickers behind your back.
By the end of the week, you’re starting to get twitchy. Ace too.
“Are they acting weird?” you whisper one night as you sit beside him on deck.
“Definitely,” he says, arms behind his head “Thatch winked at me when I refused onions at dinner.”
“Marco suggested I take a nap ‘in a more open, sunny place.’” You glance at him “Sound familiar?”
Ace groans “They’re onto something.”
You whisper, “Do you think they know?”
He shrugs “They’re dumb. I think we’re safe.”
The crew, literally hiding, listening in with cups pressed to the wood.
Thatch whispers, “They think we’re dumb.”
Marco snorts “They’re in love and hiding it like toddlers under a table.”
Izou fans himself “Give it another day. Then we strike.”
It starts over breakfast.
Again, totally normal day. Birds chirping. Sun’s out. Pirates being loud. You stroll in beside Ace, acting casual. Like you didn’t kiss him good morning five minutes ago behind the barrels.
You sit down.
He sits next to you.
Everything is fine. Until Thatch slams his fork on the table and stands up dramatically.
“Okay, this has gone on long enough.”
You and Ace both freeze.
Marco leans in lazily, sipping his coffee “So. You two are dating, right?”
Your eyes go wide.
Ace doesn’t even blink.
And at the exact same time:
You: “No! Who would even date him?”
Ace: “Yeah, we’re obviously dating.”
Silence.
A beat.
Then Jozu chokes on his juice. Thatch drops his spoon. Izou wheezes like he’s been punched.
Marco just blinks “Well. That answers that.”
You turn to Ace in slow motion “WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY??”
He frowns slightly “That we’re dating? What—why did you say that so disgusted?”
You hiss “Because you weren’t supposed to just admit it!”
“Why not? We’ve been caught.”
“I was trying to lie!”
Thatch is howling “Oh my god—‘Who would even date him??’ Babe, the man LITERALLY has your name carved into his pillow.”
You whip around “He WHAT?!”
Ace shrugs “Just the initials. It’s cute.”
Izou fans himself “I’m going to die. This is the best breakfast of my life.”
Marco grins “This is better than I expected”
Jozu “It’s like watching a romance novel crash into a comedy sketch.”
You bury your face in your hands “I hate this. I hate ALL of you.”
Ace pats your back gently “I think it’s going great.”
You glare at him “You’re enjoying this.”
“Of course. I don’t have to sneak around anymore. I get to call you mine out loud now.”
That… makes your face heat up. You try not to smile. You fail.
Thatch yells, “THEY’RE BLUSHING. IT’S REAL.”
Ace slings his arm around your shoulders, smug and unbothered “Don’t worry, babe. We’ll survive the embarrassment.”
Izou smirks “Barely.”
Marco raises his cup “To the worst cover-up attempt in Whitebeard history.”
Everyone cheers.
You groan and slump against Ace, who kisses your temple like the traitor he is.
Soft. Smiling. Loud and proud.
And now you’re never living this down.

That’s my Wife you Jerk!
Monkey D. Luffy x Reader
Request: Luffy rescues his wife from the Big Mom pirates
Warning: based on whole cake island arch. Do not proceed if you do not want spoilers.
Part V

Now looking back, you could kick yourself silly for not taking Luffy up on his offer to join his crew when you had the chance.
In your fears of being chased and caught by the marines, you denied your a chance for adventure with the Straw Hat pirates.
It was so fun being with them that night. Why did you refuse Luffy’s offer?
Now you get to bask in your regret after having been chased and caught by the Big Mom pirates.
Standing before the pirate emperor, you wished you hadn’t gone aboard the merchants ship, when instead, you could’ve been on the thousand sunny, sipping cocktails and sunbathing on the deck grass.
A long fight later, and the merchants ship crew are long dead, and your fate remains at the mercy of Big Mom who took a keen interest in your strength.
“Ma-ma-ma-ma! You’re quite an interesting find! You must be the strongest Haki user I’ve ever seen, and by my experience, that’s definitely saying something. I think I’ll spare you.” Big Mom announces making you feel grateful at the prospects at your survival “You’ll be quite a fine addition to my family.” The feeling of relief is quickly fleeting, spiralling to defeat.
Once you’re married in, there is no escaping Big Mom.
“I’m already married.” You say, hoping to any god listening that Big Mom will spare your life and not force you to marry someone from her hoard.
“I’m well aware Monkey. Y/n.” Big Mom waives your excuse. “I think you would suit my son Katakuri just fine. Two strong Haki users are bound to heir a strong Haki protege.”
“Hell no! Listen here lady. I’m not marrying anyone! I’ve already got a husband, and that’s how it’s staying!” You challenge. Fears be damned, if you’re loosing your freedom, then it’s not a life worth living for.
“What makes you think you’ve got a choice girl?!” Big Moms voice seeps with venom. “You’d seriously rather die? What kind of idiot are you?”
“There’s no life if there is no freedom!” Your yell back, voice booming across the room with determination.
“Don’t you throw out your conquerors Haki to me you little brat! Listen here girl, that rubber idiot is on his way to my Island to take back his crew mate Sanji.” Your eyes bulge at the news. “Yes, that’s right. Vinsmoke Sanji is here marrying my daughter. Marry my son with no fuss and I won’t squash Straw hat.” You stare up unbothered at her threat. “Mark my words. If you become difficult, I’ll make sure Sanji has a hard and unhappy life.” Big Mom grins at your crumbling resolve.
You thought of Luffy and all of your past adventures together, and many more adventures ahead. That’s all you needed to reinvigorate your resolve. “Shove it hag! Sanji is a big boy, I’ll remind him where he belongs!” Big Moms vein pops from her forehead. “I’m not gonna marry your son and I’m not gonna join your stupid crew, because I already have a Captain! And my husband- he’s going to be king of the pirates!” You yell with all your might, making sure everyone felt the authenticity of your claim.
“Marriage or Death?!” Big Moms voice booms. But not a moment sooner, Luffy blasts through the wall, his hand impossibly inflated.
“That’s my wife you Jerk!” And with all his might, Luffy’s fist comes smashing down.
Dust fills the air, blinding you. Hearing the familiar echos of Luffy’s sandals, you begin to speak out. “Luffy! Take me home to the Thousand Sunny!” You demand, your wobbling lip coming to a stand still at Luffy’s maddening grin.
“Took ya long enough. Comm’on, the crews waitin’ for you.”

You only noticed it once Nami brought it up.
“You realize Zoro always puts himself in front of you during fights, right?” she said casually, barely looking up from her notebook.
You frowned. “Isn’t that just…what swordsmen do?”
Nami snorted. “No. He doesn’t do that for everyone. Just you.”
You had opened your mouth to argue, but your mind was already replaying moments from the past few weeks: Zoro stepping in front of you before an enemy lunged, catching a blade mid-swing. Blocking a flying piece of debris with the flat of his sword without even looking your way.
You had brushed it off. Coincidence. He was always intense about combat.
But then the island happened.
It was meant to be a simple supply run. A sunny, sleepy little port town. You were strolling back from the market, arms full of tropical fruit, when a voice behind you hissed: “Hand it over.”
You barely turned before someone rushed at you—blade raised high.
You did not even have time to flinch.
But Zoro was already moving—faster than the swing, faster than thought. His sword cut through the attacker’s strike before it could fall. One clean, practiced motion. Your would-be attacker dropped to the ground, unconscious.
Then Zoro turned to you.
“You okay?” His voice was tight, eyes scanning you head to toe.
You blinked. “I—I think so.”
There was no blood. No scratch. But Zoro’s jaw was clenched like he had failed at something anyway.
“Could’ve hit you,” he muttered.
You shook your head. “But he didn’t—”
“I let him get close.”
He said it low, more to himself than to you. That same dark expression—like the idea of someone even trying to hurt you was personal.
Later, you were hauling a crate of watermelons back to the Sunny. Your arms ached, but you were stubborn. You had it.
Until it was just… gone.
You blinked, turning to find Zoro walking ahead of you, the crate now slung easily over one shoulder.
He did not say a word. He did not look at you.
Just kept walking like it was the most natural thing in the world.
“…Thanks,” you said, jogging to catch up.
He shrugged. “Looked heavy.”
That was all.
But the pattern only got worse.
You were in the library one morning, curled up in a chair with a book. Outside, the rhythmic shhhk-shhhk of a sword slicing air drifted in. You got up, peeked out the window.
There he was.
Training, shirtless, sweat glistening on his skin as he moved with deadly grace—right outside the window. You tilted your head. That was not even his usual training spot.
Coincidence.
Maybe.
The next day, you were sunbathing on the upper deck. The sunlight was warm, lulling you half to sleep, until a shadow crossed over you. You squinted.
Zoro.
Doing pushups five feet away. Barely glancing at you. Not saying anything.
He kept going for an hour.
Just…there.
Breathing heavy. Silent. Focused. But never quite leaving your orbit.
That evening, Sanji leaned across the dinner table with a grin and said, “You’re basically her guard dog, mosshead.”
Zoro scoffed. “Don’t start with me.”
But he did not argue further. He did not roll his eyes or bark something defensive like he usually would.
Instead, he fell quiet.
And that night, as the ship creaked under the weight of the sea and everyone else slept, Zoro stared up at the dark ceiling of his hammock, arms folded behind his head.
He told himself he was just being cautious. He was strong. That was what strong people did—they protected the weaker crew members.
But your face kept flickering through his mind. That damn blade. The way your nose scrunched when you laughed. The quiet way you had said thank you, like it meant something.
He shifted onto his side with a grumble.
“Guard dog,” he muttered under his breath.
But the next morning, he was already outside the library window before you got there.
Training.
Just in case...

“Come see this!”
You barely had time to set your drink down before Luffy grabbed your hand and took off running across the deck, dragging you behind him like an excited kid with a secret.
“I just saw the biggest crab on the shore!” he beamed over his shoulder. “Its eyes were like—this big!”
You laughed, stumbling to keep up. “Luffy, I’m still chewing—!”
“Chew faster!” he called.
That was Luffy. Every moment, every laugh, every weird discovery—he wanted to share it with you. He never said why. Just acted like you were supposed to be there. Like it made sense. Like he could not imagine it any other way.
When the crew stopped at the next island for supplies, he grabbed your hand again.
“Let’s get snacks!”
“I thought Nami told you to get rope.”
“Yeah, but snacks first.”
He bought ten different fruits, devoured six on the spot, handed two to Chopper, gave one to Usopp, then stared at the last fruit in his hand.
And without even a beat, he handed it to you.
You blinked. “What about you?”
“You like those,” he said simply, licking juice from his fingers.
That was all.
Like it was just a given. Like it made sense in his brain. Like you were—his somehow.
It took you longer to notice that Luffy always sat next to you. Not across. Not near. Next to.
At dinner. On the deck. At the bar in town. If there was an open seat beside you, it was his. Even if he came in last, even if it meant awkwardly squeezing in or dragging a chair across the floor, that was where he landed.
You had once joked about it to Nami.
“I guess I’m Luffy’s emotional support human.”
But Nami had just raised an eyebrow and said, “You think he’s like this with everyone?”
You laughed, but something inside your chest fluttered. Uneasy. Warm.
Then came that night on the island.
It was a casual little tavern—nothing wild. The crew was spread out, music in the air, drinks flowing. You were leaning against the bar, laughing with a guy from the local fishing crew who had a lopsided smile and a good sense of humor.
And when you glanced toward the table where the others sat, Luffy was watching you.
Not smiling. Not laughing. Just…quiet.
You made your way back eventually, dropping into the seat beside him with your usual ease. “What, no food left for me?”
He blinked, like you’d knocked him out of a thought. “Huh? Oh—yeah. Here.”
He pushed a plate toward you, then fell quiet again.
You nudged his shoulder. “What’s with you?”
He stared at the wood grain of the table. “Do you like that guy?”
You blinked. “Who?”
“The guy you were talking to.”
You chuckled. “Oh, no. He was just funny. Told a story about getting bit by his own fishing hook.”
Luffy nodded slowly, but he was clearly still in some headspace.
You did not push it. But he did not say much for the rest of the night.
Back on the Sunny, Luffy lay on the figurehead, arms crossed behind his head, eyes on the stars.
Something was off. Weird. Uneasy.
He liked being around you. That made sense. You were fun. You made him laugh. You always split food with him. You let him nap on your shoulder sometimes, and you smelled nice, and your voice was soft when you woke him up—
He sat up suddenly.
He always sat next to you.
Always reached for your hand first. Always wanted you to see the cool things. Always gave you the last bite. Always saved the good seat for you.
He rubbed a hand down his face.
“…Why do I care who you laugh with?”
It came out in a whisper. A real question.
The realization didn’t slam into him like a battle or a punch. It just… settled. Quiet and obvious and real.
He was in love with you.
Oh.
The next morning, you stepped out onto the deck to find Luffy already there, legs swinging off the railing.
He grinned when he saw you, as bright and boyish as ever.
“Hey! Wanna have breakfast with me?”
You blinked. “You already ate.”
“I’ll eat again.”
You snorted. “You always do.”
You walked over, and without even needing to ask, he patted the spot beside him.
Right next to him.
Where you always sat.
Where you... belonged...

The rain came out of nowhere.
One minute, you were lounging on the deck, enjoying the warm breeze, and the next, a downpour sent the crew scattering indoors like startled cats. You made a break for the galley—sliding in just as thunder cracked overhead.
Sanji glanced up from the stove, already smiling.
“Looks like you brought the storm with you,” he said, flipping something in the pan without looking. “Good thing I kept a seat warm.”
You laughed as you pulled up a stool. A mug was already waiting there.
Chamomile.
Your favorite on rainy days.
You had mentioned it once—months ago—after a cold, wet mission left you sniffling and grumpy. He had not forgotten.
You cupped the mug in both hands and said, “Didn’t know you had psychic powers.”
“Only when it comes to you, mon étoile.”
You rolled your eyes with a smile, and he turned back to the stove. Heart-shaped steam rose from the pan.
Literally.
Sanji cooked for everyone, of course. Every meal, every day. It was love, it was pride, it was art.
But yours were different.
Little things.
A garnish shaped like a starfish because you said it reminded you of your childhood. A citrus glaze because you once joked about missing a specific island fruit. A perfectly diced corner of onions because you hated the texture whole.
He never made a show of it.
He just knew.
You sipped your tea, watching the rain race down the windows.
“Do you ever stop moving?” you asked softly.
Sanji looked up.
You gestured around. “You’re always doing something. Cooking. Cleaning. Serving. Flirting.”
He grinned at the last one. “You forgot being devastatingly handsome.”
You laughed. “Right. That too.”
But he paused for a beat, eyes narrowing slightly.
“…I like staying busy.”
“Even when no one’s asking you to?”
“I guess I like having a reason to look after people,” he said, plating something with practiced grace. “It’s easier than talking about it.”
He set the plate in front of you—a warm, colorful dish that smelled like nostalgia and citrus and something unnameable that made your chest flutter.
You raised an eyebrow. “What is this?”
“Just something I thought you’d like.”
You looked down and—of course—there it was.
A tiny little orange peel shaped like a heart, resting on the side like a secret only meant for you.
Later, Nami strolled into the galley mid-rainstorm, dripping wet and grumbling.
“Sanji, please tell me you made something hot—”
She froze.
She looked at your plate.
Then at you.
Then at Sanji.
And then she smirked.
“You don’t act like that with us,” she said, towel in hand.
Sanji blinked. “Act like what?”
Nami pointed her towel at your dish. “That. The garnish. The candle. The literal ambience. What is this, a date?”
You nearly choked on your tea. “Nami!”
But she was already laughing, waving you off. “I’m just saying. He’s usually all googly-eyed and dramatic, but this? This is different.”
Sanji opened his mouth. Closed it. Frowned slightly.
“…I just like making things they’ll enjoy,” he said, quietly.
Nami arched a brow. “You sure that’s all it is?”
She left him with that.
Left both of you with that.
That night, the rain continued.
Sanji stood alone in the galley, hands in his pockets, staring out the window as the clouds rolled across the moon. He thought about Nami’s words. He thought about your laugh. The way you looked when you drank tea. The way you had smiled down at that plate like it made you feel safe.
He replayed the dozens—hundreds—of small things he had done without thinking.
He knew your favorite fruits. Your favorite colors. He could tell when your shoulders were tense from stress. He noticed when you were quiet too long and always managed to pass you your favorite mug before you even asked for it.
He did not do that for the others.
Not like this.
He leaned against the counter, exhaling slowly.
“…Different,” he murmured.
He did not deny it.
The next morning, the sun was back. The deck was dry. The ship smelled like the sea and fresh citrus.
You stepped out, stretching your arms over your head—and froze.
There was a small tray waiting by your seat. A breakfast just for you.
A folded napkin. A steaming cup of tea. And another little garnish, this time in the shape of a flower.
You blinked, warmth curling in your chest.
From the galley window, Sanji watched you notice it.
And for the first time, he smiled not because he was trying to charm you.
But because he just loved the way you smiled back...

Pairing: Usopp x Reader (Pre-Relationship) Genre: Fluff, mutual pining, light comedy Word Count: ~1,400

You looked up from the bits of broken wood on the deck, brow raised. “Half a mango?”
Usopp nodded sagely, one knee propped up like a heroic statue. “The juice distracted it long enough for me to strike. Right in the eye. Boom! It cried out across the heavens!”
You laughed, brushing sawdust from your hands. “Wow. Sounds like you saved the entire sky.”
He tried to act nonchalant, but the way his ears turned red betrayed him.
“Y-yeah, well… it was nothing.”
But your laugh echoed in his head for the rest of the day.
You started helping him fix a busted section of railing after an especially rowdy sea king scuffle. He handed you nails. You passed him planks. Somewhere in the middle, your hands brushed.
Not even a full second of contact.
But Usopp’s soul left his body.
He froze mid-movement, eyes flicking to your hand and then quickly back to the wood. His heartbeat tripped over itself like it had never learned rhythm.
“Y-You’re good at hammering,” he said.
You looked up with a smile. “You think so?”
Why did your smile do that? Why is my chest warm? Am I dying?!
That night, he told Chopper in the infirmary with the gravity of someone announcing a terminal condition.
“It was nothing. Just her hand. Brushed mine. Totally normal. My heart didn’t do a fluttery thing. Nope. Perfectly fine. Totally unaffected.”
Chopper blinked. “Usopp, your nose is bleeding.”
“SHH.”
A few days later, you found a tiny handmade crab figurine on your pillow. Wobbly legs. Big googly eyes. Clearly sculpted out of something like melted candle wax and hope.
There was a note attached:
“For luck!! – Captain Usopp”
You grinned.
The next time you saw him, you had it tucked into your pocket.
He pretended not to stare at it. But his eyes kept flicking down to where the crab peeked out.
“You, uh… kept it?” he asked, scratching the back of his head.
“Of course I did. He’s good luck, right?”
Usopp nodded too fast. “Right! Super rare crab spirit. Repels bad dreams and seagulls. I read that somewhere. Definitely real.”
Your hand brushed his again when you tucked it back into your pocket.
Usopp made a noise like a squeaky kettle and practically moonwalked off the deck.
It was worse when you sat with him while he worked on a new slingshot prototype. Just the two of you, sunlight dappled through the sails, his tools scattered between you.
You picked up a rubber band, tilting your head. “What’s this one for?”
“Oh—that’s for the sky-splitting sonic burst function,” he said, then faltered. “Wait. I mean—it might be. It’s top secret. Probably. Still testing.”
You laughed again, that easy kind of laugh that always made him feel lighter somehow.
“You’re fun to build with,” you said.
He did not hear the ocean for a full five seconds after that.
The final straw was the map.
He had been doodling late at night—a fake island, covered in winding trails and strange beasts. In the corner, he scribbled a little stick figure version of himself. And beside him, another.
You.
Labeled “Sidekick!” with a star next to it.
He laughed to himself, soft and sheepish. Just a joke.
But the longer he looked at it, the more real it started to feel. The more right it felt.
The idea of you—beside him. On adventures. In stories. In dreams.
In everything.
Usopp blinked at the paper.
“…Oh.”
The next morning, you were helping Nami chart something in the observation room when Usopp peeked in, fidgeting with a new trinket in hand—some kind of polished shell creature on a string.
“For you!” he blurted, tossing it your way like a bomb and nearly missing.
You caught it mid-air. “Another lucky charm?”
“Uh, yeah! That one keeps your feet from falling asleep. And your heart. Maybe. I think.”
You gave him a bright, curious smile. “Thanks, Usopp. You’re always giving me the coolest stuff.”
He turned red to his ears. “Yeah, well… I give a lot of stuff to everyone.”
Nami glanced up from her maps and raised an eyebrow. “No, you do not.”
Usopp flinched. “I—I don’t?”
“You don’t give me weird shell creatures,” she said, smirking.
Usopp gave you a helpless shrug. Can’t a guy panic in peace??
You just laughed again.
He melted.
Again.
That night, he tucked the sidekick map under his pillow.
And for the first time in a long time, his dreams were not filled with made-up monsters or epic battles.
They were filled with you...
Sitting beside him...
Right where you belonged...

Pairing: Shanks x Reader (Pre-Relationship) Genre: Fluff, subtle tension, slice-of-life aboard the Red Hair Pirates Word Count: ~1,500
The deck of the Red Hair Pirates was alive with laughter.
A successful haul, good weather, and plenty of rum meant the crew was in high spirits. You sat near the edge of the gathering, warm drink in hand, watching the orange sky bleed into twilight.
Shanks was in the center of it all, as always—radiating charm, laughing loud, one arm thrown over Benn’s shoulder as he spun another story, likely exaggerated.
But his eyes kept flicking sideways.
To you.
Not obvious. Not intrusive. Just enough to check—Did you hear that part? Did it make you laugh?
When you smiled, he smiled wider.
You only noticed the seat-saving habit after the third or fourth time.
Someone else would head toward the empty spot next to him, and—without fail—Shanks would casually drop something there. A coat. His scabbard. A mug. A hand.
“Taken,” he would say, without looking up.
Eventually, you stopped hesitating. You would just settle beside him like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Because it was.
The crew was weaving through a tight port town a few days later, all noise and bustle and market chaos. You were trying to keep up, head turning to take in stalls of glittering goods, when you felt it—
A hand, warm and steady, against the small of your back.
Guiding.
No words. No big deal.
Shanks kept walking like he had not just casually laid claim to your existence in public. Like he had not sent your brain short-circuiting.
You glanced at him.
He was pointing out some ridiculous hat one of his crewmates had just bought, completely unaware that your heart had decided to do somersaults.
That night, you sipped wine under the stars, legs dangling over the edge of the deck. Shanks joined you, letting his boots thud softly beside yours.
He handed you a new drink without being asked.
“Trade,” he said.
“Mine’s not even empty.”
“Still,” he shrugged, “felt right.”
You raised your glass. “To pirates with good instincts.”
He smiled, clinked his glass gently to yours, and said, “To us.”
You blinked. “Us?”
“Yeah,” he said, then paused. “I mean—the crew. Obviously. Us as in… everyone.”
But his words had already left his mouth.
To us.
It kept happening.
“When we get to the next island—” “We should fix that railing before the storm—” “If we go north next time, we’ll hit better trade routes.”
We. Always we.
Like his plans just assumed you would be there. Like his future did not make sense without you in it.
He never seemed to notice.
But you did.
And so did Makino.
You were sharing a quiet moment in the galley, watching the rain hit the windows while Makino stirred tea. She gave you a look—gentle, but amused.
“You know he acts different when you’re around,” she said casually.
You raised an eyebrow. “Does he?”
She smiled knowingly, sliding a cup across to you. “He pours your drink first. Always. He does not do that for anyone.”
You tried to play it off. “Maybe I just sit closest.”
“Mm,” she said. “Sure.”
When she told him later—cornered him in that way only old friends could—he chuckled.
“Do I?” he said, leaning back in his chair.
Cool. Effortless. Unbothered.
Makino just raised an eyebrow. “You don’t even notice, huh?”
“…Guess not.”
She left him with that.
But Shanks sat there long after the lanterns dimmed, swirling untouched rum in his glass, staring out at the sea.
Thinking about the way he always looked for you in a room. The way he stepped closer in a crowd without realizing. The way “we” had slipped from his mouth like it had always belonged there.
“…Huh,” he said aloud, almost to himself.
And then, quietly—
“…Damn.”
The next morning, you climbed up to the crow’s nest for some air.
And found a fresh mug of tea already waiting there.
Still warm.
With a little note tucked beneath it, in a familiar, uneven scrawl:
“Thought you might come up. —Shanks”
You chuckled, holding the cup in both hands.
Down below, on the main deck, he looked up once.
Right at you.
And for once, he did not look away...

Pairing: Buggy x Reader (Pre-Relationship) Genre: Comedy, fluff, mutual pining, dramatic clown behavior Word Count: ~1,500
______________________________________________________________
“You’re my favorite. Obviously.”
Buggy slung an arm around your shoulders with all the grace of someone trying very hard to look casual. It would have worked—if he had not announced it loud enough for the entire crew to hear.
Again.
From across the deck, Cabaji raised a brow. Mohji sighed.
“You always say that,” someone muttered.
Buggy waved them off with his free hand, gripping you tighter with the other. “Yeah, but this time I mean it. Don’t tell the others, though,” he said in a loud stage whisper, “you’re my right hand.”
You blinked up at him. “Buggy, your actual right hand is floating three feet behind you.”
“I KNOW WHAT I SAID.”
It happened all the time. If someone tried to pull you away—say, for actual work—Buggy immediately staged a crisis.
“What do you mean you’re going with them?” he snapped one afternoon, arms flailing as you stepped toward a crew meeting. “You’re gonna ditch me for those losers? I’m WAY more fun! I’ve got charisma! Flair! A fabulous hat!”
“You also have a cannon aimed at the kitchen again.”
“Do not change the subject!”
The worst was during performances. Buggy loved an audience. Worshipped attention. But whenever you were nearby?
He shared the spotlight.
“Get up here, (Y/N)!” he shouted mid-act, dragging you center stage by the wrist. “Do the bit with the juggling fish guts!”
You stumbled into the limelight, grinning in spite of yourself. “Buggy, I’ve never done this in my life.”
“Yeah, but the crew loves you,” he said, a little too fast. “Not me. The crew. I’m just doing what they want. Obviously.”
You blinked.
“Obviously,” you echoed, half-smiling.
He looked away, face flushed, and waved his hand dramatically. “Focus, people! Back to me!”
Then there was the night you fell asleep on him.
It was accidental, obviously. You had just finished a long supply run, flopped onto the nearest bench in the captain’s quarters, and leaned your head against his shoulder with a quiet sigh.
Buggy froze.
Like, completely.
Did not move a single muscle for the next two hours.
He did not even detach anything. He just sat there, stiff as a mannequin, eyes wide, face bright red.
The crew peeked in and saw the scene.
No one said a word. They just closed the door and slowly backed away.
He did not bring it up. Not the next day. Not the next week.
But he thought about it constantly.
Like a glitch in his brain he could not fix.
That warmth. Your breath on his shoulder. The trust. The way your hair had tickled his coat—
“AGH!” he shouted, tossing a barrel across the deck in frustration. “Why is this haunting me?!”
Mohji, sweeping nearby, did not even flinch. “Still thinking about that nap thing?”
“NO!!”
You, of course, noticed none of this.
Or rather—you noticed the Buggy-ness of it all: the tantrums, the declarations, the dramatic stunts. But you figured that was just how he was with everyone.
Until one night, you casually asked, “Do you throw everyone into the spotlight, or am I just special?”
Buggy choked on his drink.
You tilted your head, teasing. “Come on, Captain. You drag me into your antics all the time.”
“That’s—That’s—That’s—!” he sputtered, pointing dramatically. “Crew morale! I am a caring leader! It is for the people!!”
You smiled, leaning in slightly. “So I’m not special?”
He froze.
Silence.
His face slowly turned crimson.
“Well- …I didn’t say all that.”
Later, you fell asleep in the crow’s nest, curled up in a blanket.
Buggy climbed up to check on you—totally not because he was worried—and paused when he saw you tucked in and breathing soft.
He sighed. Quiet this time.
Sat down beside you.
Did not touch. Did not talk.
Just… stayed.
And that night, he thought:
Maybe you really are my right hand.
But if anyone asked, he would say:
“Shut up!! It’s not like that or anything!!”
______________________________________________________________
Pairing: Portgas D. Ace x Reader (Pre-Relationship) Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Fluff, Slow-Burn, Realization Moment Word Count: ~2,000
______________________________________________________________
You barely saw it coming—the moment Ace became a constant.
It was not dramatic. No fireworks. No grand gesture. Just… a shadow that always lingered a little longer near your shoulder. A voice that always found yours in the noise.
“You good?” he asked after every mission, every skirmish, even if you had not been on the front lines.
Casual tone. Easy grin.
But his eyes scanned your face for any sign of damage. Always.
The first time he handed you his hat, you were half-asleep on the deck, one arm draped over your eyes to block the sun. Without a word, something warm and worn settled across your face—the faded brim of his beloved hat.
You peeked out from under it. “You’ll get sunburned.”
He just shrugged. “You need it more.”
Then sat down nearby, arms folded behind his head like it was no big deal. But every few minutes, you felt his gaze flick over—just checking. Making sure it had not slipped. That you were still comfortable.
Like warmth, without the fire.
In group conversations, you were quiet.
Not shy—just the type who waited for your moment. But one afternoon, someone interrupted you before you could finish your thought.
Ace’s arm casually slung around a barrel, but his voice cut sharp and clear.
“Let them finish.”
Everyone blinked. The guy apologized. You picked up where you left off.
Ace just gave you a little nod, like it was automatic.
Because it was.
He brought you things. Dumb things. Random things.
A flower he said “looked kind of like your hair, if you squint.” A shell shaped like a spiral. A rock that sparkled faintly in the sun.
“Reminded me of you,” he said with a lazy grin and a shrug, like he did not think about it twice.
But he did think about it.
Later. Alone. Lying in his bunk, one arm behind his head, the other draped over his eyes as the ship creaked gently beneath him.
Why does everything remind me of them? Why do I look for something to give them every time we dock? Why is their smile the first thing I picture when I find something beautiful?
He never had answers. Just heat curling low in his chest.
And then came the day you got hurt.
It was not life-threatening. Just a deep gash across your arm from a surprise ambush while scavenging supplies.
But Ace saw red.
He was fire and fury and reckless rage—blasting forward, taking down three of the attackers in seconds, fists lit with flame and jaw tight with fury.
Marco had to hold him back. “They’re down, Ace. Let it go.”
He shook him off, breathing hard, chest rising and falling like a storm just barely held back.
When he finally made it back to you, his hands were shaking as he checked the wound. “Why were you out there alone? You should’ve waited. You should’ve called me—”
You blinked up at him. “Ace. I’m fine.”
“You’re not fine, look at this!” His voice cracked. He grabbed a cloth, hands too rough, trying to stop the bleeding like he could rewind time.
The others stood a little ways off, unsure whether to help or stay back.
Someone whispered under their breath, “…He’s acting like he’s in love with them or something.”
Ace froze.
Everything inside him stopped.
The cloth slipped from his hand.
His eyes flicked up to yours—wide, stunned, almost confused.
He’s acting like he’s in love with them.
Wait.
Wait...
Waitwaitwait-
Shit..!!!
You watched him go still. Watched his expression shift like tectonic plates—something slow, deep, irreversible.
“Ace?” you asked softly.
He blinked, like he was waking up.
And then he stood abruptly, muttering something about needing air. You watched the orange of his back fade down the corridor, swallowed by sunset.
Later that night, he came back.
Not with words. Not with an apology or confession.
But with a small box.
He handed it to you without a word, ears pink.
You opened it.
A piece of sea glass—perfectly smooth, the color of moonlight. Nestled beside a tiny sketch of you, drawn on a scrap of parchment. Rough, shaky lines. Obviously his.
“You drew this?” you asked, touched.
He rubbed the back of his neck. “I dunno. You were asleep on the deck and I got bored.”
You looked at the sea glass. Then at him.
And smiled.
“Ace?”
“Yeah?”
“If you ever realize something… let me know, okay?”
His eyes met yours.
Slowly, a grin tugged at his mouth. “I think I already did.”
______________________________________________________________
Pairing: Trafalgar Law x Reader (Pre-Relationship) Genre: Subtle romance, emotional tension, hurt/comfort, slow realization Word Count: ~2,000
No one was allowed in Law’s space.
Not physically. Not emotionally. Not even Bepo got close without permission, and Bepo had known him the longest.
Except… you.
You did not even notice it at first. The way you stood beside him during briefings, how your arms brushed when you handed him charts. The quiet nights on the deck where you ended up sharing a coat when the cold got sharp.
And Law—silent, controlled, aloof Law—never said a word.
Never moved away.
He had a way of explaining things to you that felt like he had actually taken the time to translate his brain.
One evening, after a minor scuffle, he was treating Penguin’s bruised ribs. You came to check in, and Law started explaining the healing process—not in his usual clipped medical terms, but slower, gentler, clearer.
“I’ve asked you that same question,” Shachi grumbled from nearby. “You never explain stuff like that to me.”
Law did not even glance up. “They actually listen.”
But it was more than that. You made him want to talk. Made it easy to unravel the tightly wound pieces of himself, like pulling threads from a knot without it even hurting.
He did not know how you did it.
He just… let you.
He noticed things.
The way your hands fidgeted at your sides when you were nervous. The kind of food you gravitated toward after a rough day. The specific tone your voice took when you were genuinely excited—light and airy, eyes bright like sunrise.
He did not forget any of it.
You once mentioned liking a specific island pastry in passing. When the crew docked there weeks later, Law returned from an errand with a box of them in hand.
“Coincidence,” he said, handing it off without looking you in the eye.
“Law…”
“Coincidence.”
You got hurt once. A bit of a gash. Something another crew medic could’ve easily handled.
But Law was the one who showed up with the medical bag, silent and focused, gloves snapping on.
“I could’ve waited for Jean Bart,” you said, raising a brow.
Law avoided your gaze, inspecting the cut. “I do not trust their technique.”
“But it’s a shallow cut.”
He cleaned it anyway. Wrapped it slowly. Pressed a final strip of gauze on with careful fingers.
You looked at him. “You always take care of me.”
“I am the doctor.”
“That’s not why.”
He did not answer.
Then there was the laughter.
You had been talking to another pirate—a temporary alliance, nothing serious. Something the crew barely cared about.
But Law… noticed the way you laughed. How relaxed you were.
How someone else was the reason for that smile.
His chest tightened. It felt stupid. Irrational.
“That is not jealousy,” he muttered under his breath.
Bepo, beside him, gave a look so loud it may as well have spoken.
Law scowled. “It’s not.”
But he clenched his jaw the rest of the night.
The breaking point came with a question.
Simple. Offhanded. A crew member joking at dinner.
“What would you do if (Y/N) left the crew?”
Law froze.
Fork halfway to his mouth. Eyes suddenly unreadable.
The table went quiet.
You looked over at him, sensing something shift in the air.
He said nothing.
Because the real answer—the only answer—was this:
I would go after you.
I would leave everything.
I would not be okay.
And that terrified him.
Later, alone in the infirmary, he sat with a half-finished chart in his lap, hand motionless over the paper.
His mind replayed the question over and over.
Not what would happen to the crew. Not how it would affect his plans.
Just you.
Your absence. The silence of it. The hole it would leave.
I’m in love with them.
He exhaled, slow and quiet.
Shit...
______________________________________________________________
Pairing: Sabo x Reader (Pre-Relationship) Genre: Fluff, Hurt/Comfort, Pre-Love Realization, Slow Burn Word Count: ~2,000 ______________________________________________________________
With Sabo, it always felt like you belonged at his side—even before he realized how much that meant.
You were part of the Revolutionary Army—smart, capable, steady. A good comrade. A better friend.
At least, that was how he described you.
To himself.
To others.
And yet…
He started saving seats beside him.
It was not on purpose at first—just a spot left open next to him during meals, briefings, downtime. His coat draped across a second chair, or his hat tossed there like a marker.
If someone tried to sit, he’d glance up, confused. “Oh—sorry, that’s for (Y/N).”
He never thought much of it.
You did.
He asked your opinion on everything.
Not just mission plans or logistics. But things like, “Do you think this tie’s too formal for a peace talk?” or “Would this soup be better with ginger or mint?”
You laughed once and said, “Are you always this picky?”
He smiled, tilted his head. “Only when you’re around to help me choose.”
He shared the things that mattered.
Books that made him think. Photos of towns he wanted to rebuild. Quiet pieces of his past—the good ones, the ones untouched by fire and grief.
You saw a different side of him. One that sparkled quietly beneath the weight he carried.
And he saw you as the safe place to set it down.
But he also grew… protective.
One time, you volunteered for a high-risk scouting job. Nothing outrageous. But before you even finished explaining your plan, Sabo cut in.
“I’ll go instead.”
You blinked. “Sabo, I can handle it—”
“I know you can,” he said quickly. Too quickly. “But I’m more familiar with the terrain. It makes sense.”
You exchanged a look with Koala, who raised a brow behind him.
Later that night, she cornered him.
“You know you’re in love with them, right?”
Sabo laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Don’t be ridiculous.”
Koala: “Mm. Sure. You nearly yelled at Hack because they almost got a splinter.”
Sabo: “That was different.”
Koala: “Okay.”
It was not different.
He brought you things.
Not in a flashy way—just little gifts. A worn book with your favorite theme. A pouch of dried fruit you liked. A scarf when the mountain air got too cold.
“Found it on the way back,” he’d say, casual, like he had not thought about you the whole trip.
But he had.
One night, after a celebration—small victory, small village—you danced with someone else.
Sabo smiled. Genuinely, at first.
Then you laughed—soft and free, head thrown back—and his chest tightened.
A twist of heat. A flicker of something sharp and unfamiliar.
He turned away before he could watch any longer.
Koala caught him staring at the wall with a far-off look. “You okay?”
He blinked. “Yeah. Just tired.”
He was lying.
The realization came quietly.
You were late coming back from a solo mission. Just by an hour. But that hour stretched out into something tight and heavy in his ribs.
He stood by the gate, arms folded, trying not to pace.
Koala came to stand beside him. “They’ll be fine. You trained them yourself.”
“I know.”
But his voice was thin. Worried. Too worried.
When you finally returned—mud on your boots, smile crooked, only a scratch on your cheek—he let out a breath like someone had released a pressure valve inside him.
“You’re late,” he said.
You grinned. “Miss me?”
He did not answer.
Not out loud.
But later, alone, he sat on the edge of his bunk and whispered to the dark:
“…Yes.”
A few days later, someone asked him a simple question:
“If (Y/N) left the army tomorrow… would you follow?”
He did not even answer.
Just went silent.
Because the answer was yes. And that scared the hell out of him.

Sunbathing and Wedding Rings
Description: It’s a sunny day and the crew has some downtime which means sunbathing, repairs, relaxing, and probably some flirting between you and Sanji.
You’re laid out on the deck of the ship sunbathing wearing a bathing suit so pristinely white even Zeff would be proud. A bright blue towel beneath you protecting your perfect skin from the wood planks, the sunlight caressing your body gently. Large round sunglasses cover your beautiful eyes, your hair splayed out in the towel above you to avoid getting sweat in it, he presumes.
You’re gorgeous. A vision in the sunlight, the very picture of summer and all its goodness, no a goddess, you’re a goddess of summer, and beauty, and gentleness, and countless other things, he could spend hours rattling off everything he admires about you.
“You know you’re being a total perv, right?” Zoro’s dry drawl cuts right through his inner monologue as he leans on the railing alongside him, jerking his head towards you.
“Am not.” He argues, tapping his cigarette on the railing, the ash getting caught by the sea breeze and sending it floating towards you—oh shit.
“Sanji wherever you are, I swear that better not be a cigarette I smell.” You yell, not even getting up from your reclined position or looking around, confident your voice would reach him wherever he was on the ship. You could be loud when you wanted to be.
“Sorry, princess.” He calls back, snuffing off the cigarette with a smile, returning to basking in your beauty. You care about him, about his health.
“Total perv.” Zoro reiterates.
“I’m looking, not perving, and we’re married, so I think it’s actually my legal duty to look.” He says, holding up his left hand, the gold band around his finger glinting in the sun.
“Yeah, one of these days she’s going to remember she only married you to get out of that shit town of hers and get your marriage annulled like it was supposed to be months ago.”
Sanji feels a stab of sorrow at the thought but waves it aside, just as he waves Zoro’s words aside. “It’s alright to be jealous my friend, but don’t worry you’ll find someone to put up with your temper and your weird hair, and obsession with swords that surely isn’t compensation for someth—”
His words cut off when Zoro elbows him in the gut before walking off. “Go back to perving, Waiter, I’m gonna find Nami.”
“Hey y/n can you tell me if this spyglass looks like it’s mounted straight?” Luffy called down from the helm.
“Yeah, sure, one second.” You say, sitting up and tying the flimsy black cloth you use to cover up around your hips, the fabric draping down to the tops of your thighs, covering your ass much to his delight and sorrow. Maybe Zoro was right, he is perving a little.
You stand and take a few steps back, then move more towards the center of the ship, looking up at Luffy. “Maybe move it a little to the left, no my left, no Luffy that’s still your left, okay, okay yeah stop there, that’s perfect.”
“Thanks y/n.” Luffy says, giving you a wide smile, turning to Ussop, the two of them securing the stand for the large spyglass.
You return the smile and return to your towel, pausing a second to stretch your arms over your head, going up on your toes as you do so, the fabric rising higher on your legs.
You’ll kill him one of these days, he just knows it.
“Sanji! I didn’t see you there.” You say, moving until you’re standing below where he’s leaning on the railing, looking up at him, sunglasses now perched atop your head.
“Just enjoying the view.” He says, the words coming out much more flirtatious than he intended.
You giggle and toy with the edge of your coverup. “Oh yeah?”
He swallows hard. “Yeah, ocean is really beautiful today.”
“Just the ocean?” You ask, batting your eyelashes at him, the sun giving you an almost halo, your skin glistening. You’re like a siren, and he’s completely helpless to your spell.
“Well, the ocean and a few other things.” He says smoothly, miraculously finding his footing once more.
You pout up at him, and drag his name out, each syllable getting special attention. “Sanji, don’t tease.”
He chuckles and shakes his head, smiling fondly down at you. “Come on now, sweetheart, you know there’s nothing prettier than you.”
“You didn’t say pretty, you said beautiful.” You remind him, arms crossed—unintentionally or maybe intentionally, he isn’t quite sure—pushing up your breasts.
He clicks his tongue and turns around, resting his back on the railing, trying to compose himself. “Yeah, you’re right, I did.”
You’re up the stairs and in front of him before he can take out a new cigarette, foot tapping impatiently as you glare at him ineffectually. “Sanji, you’re being mean.”
“To a beautiful woman like you? Never.”
You roll your eyes, arms crossed again.
“There’s nothing and no one more beautiful than you, y/n.” He smiles softly, heart pounding in his chest at the way you beam at his words. “No one more spoiled, either.” He continues, chucking your chin playfully. “You really are a princess.”
“Yeah, your princess, remember?” You hold up your hand just as he did to Zoro, your matching band catching the light a little more, the flowery pattern engraved along the band clear in the midday sun. “Don’t act like you had no part to play in making me this way.”
He raises an eyebrow. “I do believe you were like this when I got you.”
“Got me?” You laugh, your nose scrunched up in disbelief. “I guess that’s one way to describe it.”
It was the easiest way. Though he could recount your meetings and marriage in excruciating detail, from the moment he first saw you, bumping into him in a froofy nightmare of tulle and silk, to your tear filled eyes begging him to help you, to marry you so you could escape the man your parents picked for you, so you could fulfill your dream of setting sail and seeing the world. Luffy had heard the word dream and jumped at the chance to help, all but ordering Sanji to marry you, and strangely he didn’t feel like protesting.
And to the moment the priest told him he could kiss the bride, and you grabbed his face and kissed him in the nick of time. You swore the marriage could be annulled in the next town over, and thanked him profusely for his help, as you followed Luffy back to the Going Merry, your hand still in Sanji’s the other holding up your many skirts so you could run without tripping.
Month after month had gone by, town after town and yet neither of you mentioned annulments, letting each dock get smaller and smaller as the ship sailed away, the rings staying firmly on your fingers. He tries not to think about what that all means, and focuses back in on you.
“A bargain deal, really.” You joke, still smiling at him, still holding your hand up.
“A priceless treasure.” He counters, taking your hand and pressing it to his lips.
A flustered expression overtakes you, and you giggle, ducking your head to hide your smile. “You flatter me.”
“It is only fitting to flatter a princess.”
“Barf, gross, enough with the mushy stuff. Sanji, what’s for dinner?” Luffy asks, hanging halfway over the railing above them.
You bite your lip and look away, trying not to laugh. “Yeah Sanji what’s for dinner? The captain’s hungry.”
“Dinner isn’t for another five hours.” He says, trying hard not to laugh too. It’s a fine compliment from Luffy, his constant desire to eat what he cooks, but of course today it came at the wrong time.
“But the captain’s hungry, Sanji.” You smile, saying his name in a singsong tone that should be annoying, but when it’s you it’s not.
“See, y/n gets it.” Luffy says, dropping down onto the deck and slinging an arm over your shoulders, giving him a thumbs up. “I’ll take her away so you can concentrate, don’t worry.”
“I can concentrate just fine with her around.” He protests.
But you’re already walking off with Luffy, waving to him over your shoulder with a teasing grin, your ring catching the light again. “See you at dinner.”

“I know we can't get married. Being reputable pirates, no one would risk having a legal record of us in their registry. But I don't give a fuck about a ridiculous party or a piece of fucking paper."
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Zoro isn't marriage material. At least, that's what he thinks. He's never been interested in marriage, and he was never interested in sex or relationships until he met you. The natural progression of your relationship from acquaintances to friends to lovers was slow and casual. There were no grand gestures, emotional confessions or anything else from those horrid romance books you read that make Zoro gag. He had never officially asked you out. One day, after months of flirting and sleeping together, Sanji was getting a little too close to you and Zoro barked at the cook to leave his girl alone. You never denied that you were his girl and later on that night, when he was fucking you into the mattress, you confirmed that you were his and only his.
It's a gorgeous day at sea, and you're out on the deck sunbathing with Nami. Zoro observes you as you lean back with your eyes closed. He tries to continue his daily workout but keeps getting distracted by your figure. Usually, he'd go elsewhere to work out, but with the horny cook hanging around the ship, he doesn't want to take any chances.
Not long into Zoro’s workout, he feels your eyes on him. He turns to meet your eyes, and the way you're hungrily watching him makes him flex his muscles a little harder. You watch him for a few minutes before softly calling his name.
“What is it?” he grunts, acting unbothered. You flash him a grin, holding a bottle of sun cream.
“I can't reach my back”, you pout, and He responds with an eyeroll. He walks over to your sun lounger and sits carefully on the edge. He takes the bottle from your hand and squeezes it.
“Turn over for me”, He instructs. Zoro squirts a generous amount of the cream on his hands. His large hands rub and trace everywhere they can over your back. Zoro uses sun cream as if it's lotion to massage you. As his hands work their magic on your tightly-wound back muscles, the cute noises falling from your lips make his cock twitch.
“Do you two mind not doing your awkward foreplay out here?” says Nami as she tries to ignore you and soak up the sun. “y'know I can't reach my back either”, her tone teasing, clearly mocking the two of you.
“What a shame”, Zoro deadpans. He presses a kiss to your shoulder blade and gets back to his workout.
“Damn, I guess back rubs are wifey exclusives,” says Nami sarcastically. Neither you nor Zoro respond, but the word ‘wife’ rings in his head for the rest of the afternoon. Zoro's not one for marriage, but he thinks you'd look beautiful in a wedding dress.
A few days later, You're on a new island and pass a jewellery shop. You stop to look at the jewellery in the window, and Zoro stands behind you, eyeing the ring display. Thoughts of slipping a beautiful gold ring on your finger and claiming you as his forever taunt him. You're pirates. You could never have a legally recognised wedding. He makes a note of the ring that had caught your eye and thinks to himself that he must be crazy. If you had told Zoro from a few years ago that he'd be contemplating buying a ring for you and ‘marrying’ you, he'd laugh in your face and call you an idiot.
Once your short adventure on the new island is wrapped up, he tells you to go on back to the ship as he needs to take a detour. He instructs Chopper to take care of you, and the tiny reindeer gives a dramatic salute and promises the swordsman to get you home in one piece.
Zoro arrives home about twenty minutes after you and heads straight to your room, where you're already waiting for him. He thinks about dropping to his knees and asking you to marry him the traditional way, but nothing you've ever done has been traditional. You're literally pirates, after all. His heart squeezes when he sees you waiting for him, and it's almost painful. It passes him off how soft he is for you. You've tamed a demon; all it takes is a pretty smile from you, and he's ready to give up his entire life for you.
When you jump up from your shared bed - Franky had installed a couples suite not long after you'd started dating - to greet him, Zoro immediately backs you to the edge of the bed. He connects his lips to yours. He pushes his tongue into your mouth as your hand slides into his hair. He lifts you so you wrap your legs around him, and then he sits on the edge of the bed so you can straddle him. His hands grip your ass and guide you over his hard cock. He groans at the pressure of you over his lap, and it seems you're getting impatient as you whine and rock your hips faster.
Zoro smiles into the messy kiss as he flips you so you're on your back, and he's hovering over you. Your legs are locked around his hips, keeping him pressed against you. He reaches to your lounge shorts and pulls them off with your assistance. He then moves to your top, groping your chest.
“Take this off for me, pretty girl”, he rasps, his voice making your pussy throb. You follow through with his request and remove your shirt alongside your bra. He leans down to kiss and lick over the skin of your chest. His thorough worship of your tits and lack of attention to your pussy have you growing desperate for him. He listens in amusement as you whine for him to touch you. Your voice is the prettiest thing he's ever heard. Your voice is as precious to him as the sound of a blade swinging through the air. His life was all swords, blood and guts until you showed up. Sometimes, he resents you and your determination because he's lost all credibility among the crew after being caught behaving softly with you. “Tell me what you want, baby. I'll give it to you, I promise.”
“I just want you”, You whimper, using your legs to push him against your soaked panties.
“you've already got me. I'm right here” You should have known he'd want a more specific answer from you.
“I want your cock, Zoro. Please” He's almost flat against you at this point, body pressing you down into the mattress.
“You'll get my cock, I promise. Just answer something for me first.” He asks, and you try to clear your thoughts as you nod. “You're mine, right? forever?”
You are. In every sense of the word, you are his. He's yours, too. He has been since you flashed your pretty smile at him. Suddenly, for the first time in his life, Zoro feels nervous. You nod, telling him that you'll always be his. He digs around in his pocket, and at first, you don't have time to process what he has in his hands because he kisses you aggressively. You feel cold metal press against your ring finger, and your eyes snap open, pushing Zpro back slightly to talk to him.
“Is that a ring?” you ask, and he sheepishly nods. You've never seen Zoro this shy as he attempts to explain himself.
“I know we can't get married. Being reputable pirates, no one would risk having a legal record of us in their registry. But I don't give a fuck about a ridiculous party or a piece of fucking paper. You don't have to consider this a marriage proposal. You can call it a promise ring or whatever the fuck you wanna call it. I just wanted something to symbolise that you're mine and no one else. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you” You're stunned into silence by his heartfelt words; he's never been this open and vulnerable with anyone. Part of him thinks you've broken him.
“Are you asking me to be your wife?” you ask, finally getting a look at the ring. Zoro nods, dropping his head to your neck. He reminds you it doesn't have to be a marriage thing. You're constantly out getting into fights and life-threatening situations, so he feels a tangible symbol of your relationship might help keep peace of mind. A small thing to ground you when the world around you gets too hectic. You pull Zoro's head from the crook of your neck so you can look him in the eyes. He's embarrassed about his secret sappiness, but he's secure in his feelings about you.
“I'd love that”, You breathe, leaning up to kiss him, and he's slipping the ring onto your finger within seconds. That's it. He's your husband now. When he's done exploring your mouth with his tongue, he moves his wet kisses down to your neck. He leaves a smattering of purple and red marks over your beautiful tits and traces his tongue down your body. During his descent down your body, he whispers. When he kisses your neck, he tells you that he's a lucky man to have someone like you. He tells you you're beautiful and intelligent as he kisses your tummy. When he kisses your thighs, he tells you how much he admires your strength.
His hand grips your underwear, and he tears it from your body. He adjusts so he's lying on his front between your legs. He leans down to lick at your pussy. His mouth feels so good. You try to lift your hips to grind into his mouth, but one of his large hands holds your hips down. He brings his other hand to your mouth and presses two fingers against your lips. You greedily accept his fingers into your mouth, getting them all nice and slick for him. He pulls his fingers from your lips and pushes them into your hole as he suctions his mouth onto your clit. The combination of his fingers and tongue makes you cum embarrassingly fast, and your legs squeeze his head as the pleasure takes over. Your husband stays in place, licking and fingering you through your high, prepping you for his huge cock. Zoro sits on his knees and admires you when your deep breaths begin to subside. His beautiful wife, laid out in the sheets, looking up at him with a dazed expression. You look satisfied, and that makes pride bloom in Zoro's chest. He removes his trousers to join you in your nakedness and taps the head of his fat cock against your sensitive clit.
“You ready for my cock, baby?” he asks, teasingly rubbing his cock between your folds.
“Please, Zoro” you whine. “Please fuck me.” He'd never say no to you, and as long as he's aboard this ship, no one else is going to either. He pushes his cock, now slick with your juices, into your hole. You both moan at the way your walls have to stretch to accommodate his size. He's no stranger to teasing you, but now that your warm wet cunt is wrapped around his cock, all he can think about is fucking you open. He starts with a brutal pace; he can't help it, your pussy is addicting. He's convinced you have him under some kind of spell.
“Perfect fucking pussy was made for me,” he punctuates each word with a harsh thrust. “This is mine. All mine,” he says.
You try to respond, but you're constantly interrupted by your own moans. Zoro has you whining and gripping the bedsheets beneath you. You feel how deep he is, and the way his hand presses onto your tummy over where his cock is inside you makes your legs tremble. You're close already, and you're rapidly approaching delirium. You're mindlessly babbling about how much you love him and how big his cock is. Zoro may be busy thoroughly fucking your sweet pussy, but he's still listening intently to every slurred word that leaves your mouth.
“I love you too, baby,” he says, responding to your shaky rambling. “You ready to cum for me? he asks with a hungry smile on his face. It always shocks you how Zoro went from someone who couldn't care less about sex to someone who can't go a day without seeing you cream on his cock. You're dangerously close, and Zoro can feel it, too. The way your pussy pulses around his cock. The perfect vice grip of your pussy has him just as desperate. He leans down so your foreheads are touching and rocks his hips harder. You hold on to his biceps as he drills into you, trying to pour all his feelings about you into every thrust.
Your orgasm starts small in your lower stomach, and the satisfying tingly feeling spreads outwards till your hands and feet are numb. You cum hard, gushing around his cock while the squeezing of your walls drags Zoro over the edge with you. He cums inside you, filling up with every last drop of cum. After one last heavy thrust from the large man, he slowly pulls out and lies next to you.
“Y/n,” he says, voice raspy from the moaning and exhaustion. You hum in response to show him you're listening. “if you want, in the next place we dock, we can look for a proper registry office”, he says.
“Yeah, because they're gonna see two pirates with high bounties and scary nicknames and let us in,” you say sarcastically, covering the fact that you really would like that.
“I'm sure we can find at least one,” he says. You hold up your left hand, showing off your ring.
“This is enough for me, though”, you muse, admiring the jewellery.
“Agreed” Zoro lifts his left hand, and a gold wedding band sits on his finger. You hadn't even noticed because you were so busy getting ravaged by him.
“I love you,” he says. He didn't care much for love until he met you. “You're mine, forever.”

being with roronoa zoro

a/n: same thing as the headcannons with sanji!! but with zoro this time!!! i may eventually write one for luffy, just to have one for the whole monster trio!!
a/n: okay the first one is a little bit of a "hear me out", but in my sweetest dreams its a reality 😭😭😭
nothing but fluff here 💗
---------------------------------------------------------------------
-zoro, who despite the tough exterior thats always on display, instantly turns into a needy whimpering man when its just the two of you.. he'll bury his face in your chest, mumbling something about how much he missed you, despite literally spending all day with you.
- his utter devotion to you. once he finally figures out his feelings for you, they will never waver. the length to which he'd go to make you happy or protect you is limitless. and he does so quietly and immediately, refusing to accept even the slightest praise for it because to him, he can't imagine a world where there's anything he wouldn't do for you
- the way he loves you quietly, but constantly. he'll find your eyes from across the room, checking in on you to make sure you're okay. brushing his hand against your arm or hair, as he walks past, which is his way of saying "hi baby, i love you" discreetly
- laying on his warm broad chest while sunbathing is heaven on earth. the slow rise and falls of his breathing moving your head along with it, the way he wraps his both arms around you to keep you there, he can't image ever letting you go. the comforting rhythm of his heartbeat, and the intimacy of knowing you're the only one he'll ever let get close enough to hear it
-his raspy deep voice, thats somehow still so gentle, as he softly whispers sweet nothings in your ear when you cuddle in the privacy of his own bed
---------------------------------------------------------------------
a/n: i may have another set of headcannons like these in the future for a certain special pirate... but im not going to tell you who 😌
a/n: enjoyed this fic? here's my masterlist!!

Sure! Im still waaaaay behind with one piece, just finishing thriller bark - I did my best. Ive seen the rabbit character from pictures - googled her name xp. Hope you like it!
--------------------------------
Fuzzy Feelings
Luffy x Jealous!Fem Reader
You weren’t glaring.
You definitely weren’t glaring.
Okay maybe you were glaring just a little, but no one could blame you! It was right there—right there—happening in broad daylight on the damn deck.
Carrot was currently latched onto Luffy’s ear like it was a piece of meat and he was just laughing about it like she hadn’t just chomped him three times already.
“She’s biting him again,” you hissed to Nami, who was sunbathing nearby with sunglasses and absolutely zero interest in your emotional crisis.
“Mmm-hmm,” she hummed lazily. “She’s a mink. That’s, like, how they bond.”
“I don’t bite people I like,” you muttered.
Nami slid her sunglasses down just enough to raise an eyebrow at you. “Don’t you?”
You turned red. “T-That’s not the point!”
“Right. Not the point.” She smirked, putting her glasses back on. “Just go tell Luffy you like him.”
You made a choking noise. “I’d rather throw myself overboard.”
“And yet,” Nami said, gesturing vaguely toward the deck, “you’d rather sit here and seethe while rabbit-girl nibbles your crush’s ear like it owes her money.”
You glanced back over just in time to see Luffy giggling as Carrot hung off him like a scarf. “Yooo, Carrot, that tickles!”
She responded with an adorable, “You taste like meat, Luffy!”
You nearly combusted.
“Disgusting,” you growled under your breath. “Flirt somewhere else, Bugs Bunny.”
You were about to stomp off when you heard Luffy’s voice call out, “Hey (Y/N)!”
You froze. Panic. What if he heard you say that? Was your jealousy that obvious?
You turned slowly. “Y-Yeah?”
He beamed at you, oblivious. “Wanna come help me catch fish off the side of the Sunny?”
Carrot was still hanging on his shoulder like a furry little parasite. Her big eyes blinked at you, smug.
You blinked.
Then smiled.
“Oh, absolutely,” you said sweetly. “I love stabbing things with hooks.”
You might have stared directly at Carrot when you said it.
-------
You sat on the edge of the Sunny, legs dangling off the side, a fishing rod in hand and murder in your heart.
Luffy was next to you, grinning like this was the best day of his life. Carrot had finally hopped off to grab some snacks, leaving you alone with the man who had unknowingly stolen your heart and your sanity.
"Ne, (Y/N), you’re real good at fishing," Luffy said, kicking his legs happily as he peeked over the side of the boat. "I never catch anything unless I jump in after it."
“That’s because you don’t wait,” you muttered, eyes on the water. “You have to be patient.”
“Hmm...” He leaned closer, squinting at your line. “So like... you wait for it to bite... then yank?”
His arm brushed yours.
You forgot what fish were.
“Y-Yeah,” you managed, trying not to combust from proximity. “Just—don’t yank too hard or you’ll snap the line.”
“Got it!” Luffy nodded enthusiastically.
He sat in silence for a moment, then tilted his head. “Hey, you were acting kinda weird earlier. When Carrot was biting me.”
You froze. Crap. Crapcrapcrap—
“Weird?” you asked, voice climbing an octave. “No way. Totally normal. Not weird. Pfft.”
He blinked at you. “You made a face like Sanji does when I eat all the meat.”
“W-What?! I did not—!”
“You looked angry... but also like you wanted to bite someone too?” he added, looking genuinely confused. “Were you hungry?”
You choked. “Luffy.”
“Yeah?”
“I will throw you into the sea.”
He burst into laughter, head thrown back, sunshine catching his hair just right, and you felt your heart do a somersault.
Why did he have to be so stupidly cute?
“You’re so funny, (Y/N),” he said with a grin. “I like hanging out with you.”
Your brain short-circuited. “Y-You do?”
“Yeah! You’re fun.” He leaned back on his hands. “You don’t bite like Carrot, but that’s okay. I like your way better.”
You blinked, stunned.
Was... was that his version of flirting?
Before you could say anything, Carrot came bounding back with a tray of sandwiches. “I brought snacks!”
Luffy lit up. “MEAT!!”
You barely resisted the urge to knock the tray into the ocean.
You plastered on a smile instead. “Wow, thanks, Carrot. That was so sweet of you.”
She beamed. “Right? I even saved the biggest one for Luffy!”
Your eye twitched.
Luffy grabbed the sandwich, already stuffing it in his face. “You’re the best, Carrot!”
You got up wordlessly, rod abandoned.
“(Y/N)? Where you goin’?” Luffy asked, cheeks full.
You turned and smiled through clenched teeth.
“I’m gonna go not bite people.”
He looked confused.
Carrot looked smug.
And you were so close to jumping overboard just to scream into the sea.
-----
You were storming down the hallway of the Sunny, fists clenched, trying very hard not to explode. If you had to hear Carrot giggle and say “Luuuffyyy~” one more time, you were going to snap and launch yourself into the sea head-first.
Was it stupid to be this jealous? Absolutely. Were you going to do something about it? Probably not.
…Unless you lost your temper.
Which you were about five seconds away from doing.
“(Y/N)!”
You froze.
Luffy’s voice rang out from behind you—cheerful, clueless, and all kinds of adorable.
You squeezed your eyes shut, took a deep breath, and turned around.
There he was. Hair messy from the sea breeze, a smudge of food on his cheek, and that goofy smile that made your chest feel like it was caving in.
“Why’d you leave?” he asked, stepping closer. “We didn’t get to fish more. And you forgot your rod!”
You stared at him. The way his eyes sparkled, the way he just had to chase after you without even knowing why.
God, it wasn’t fair.
You snapped.
“I like you, okay?!”
The words spilled out like you had zero control over them. Which, to be fair, you didn’t.
Luffy blinked. “Huh?”
“I like you, Luffy!” you said louder, throwing your arms up. “Like—not just ‘I want to fish with you’ like, but like like! Romantic! Feelings! Blushing! All that dumb stuff!”
He stared.
“I got jealous when Carrot bites your ears! And it’s not her fault, and I know you’re probably not even thinking about this kind of thing, but I can’t help it, okay?! You’re—you’re you, and I’m me, and I’m just—ugh!”
You stopped.
Silence.
Luffy tilted his head, looking at you like you’d just grown another limb.
“…You wanna bite my ear too?”
You groaned. “Luffy! That’s not what I—”
“But wait,” he interrupted, suddenly very serious. “You like me?”
You froze.
“…Y-Yeah.”
He blinked.
Then… smiled.
A soft one. Not goofy. Not wild.
Just a little quiet curve of his lips. It felt different.
“I didn’t know,” he said simply. “But… I like being around you. Like, a lot.”
Your heart skipped. “Yeah?”
“Yeah. When I see you, I feel all… squiggly. In my chest.” He scratched his head. “I thought it was just hunger.”
You stared. “Squiggly?”
He grinned. “Like excitement! Or nerves. Or maybe meat cravings. But I don’t feel that with Carrot. I like her, but not like how I like you.”
You blinked. “So you…?”
“I dunno what it means yet,” he admitted, stepping closer. “But I wanna find out. With you.”
You were stunned silent.
“Also,” he added with a big grin, “you can bite my ear if you want.”
You burst out laughing. “You’re such a weirdo.”
“Yup!” he said proudly. “But I’m your weirdo now, right?”
Your cheeks flamed.
“…Yeah.”

─── 𝐌𝐔𝐃𝐃𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 .
# with roronoa zoro.
in which zoro’s refusal to bathe is never-ending, much to nami’s discontentment — and your amusement.
⎰ & fluff. implied fem!reader. no y/n used. suggestive. zoro being stinky. me trying to be funny.
WC: 1.6K !
the light from the midday sun threatened to slip through the thick and darkened lenses of your glasses, forcing your eyes shut. warmth enveloped the many bare pieces of your skin as though a particularly startling — yet not quite unwelcome — hug. waves crashed against the sunny, humming a peaceful and gentle lullaby, with tendrils determined to guide you towards the vague pathway of dreams. a contented sigh trespassed the shut surface of your lips. limbs losing strength and sounds losing focus, it was but a matter of time until sleep claimed your consciousness.
until the interruption — rude, may you add — of those precious passage of seconds.
nami groaned for what seemed to be the uptenth time within less than half-an-hour. with the rise of an eyebrow, you placed the sunglasses above your head and peeked out at her abhorred figure, knees pressed to her chest and an enraged expression as she sat on the wooden-made sun lounger. with a sigh, your sunglasses returned to its previous position as you shifted your attention towards the bright-blue sky.
“what’s the matter?” you inquired, placing a hand underneath your head for further comfort.
“it’s been nine days,” the navigator hissed, to which you frowned.
“since what?”
“zoro’s last bath,” robin clarified from where she, too, had sat to sunbathe, her glance lingering to the page of the book she held.
“two days more than his usual,” nami continued, exasperatedly gesturing to the swordsman, who slept heavily at the furthest edge of the deck, his broad back pressed to a corner.
the sun was neither kind nor comprehensive with his lack of care towards his skin’s health. it licked at the tanned muscles as though a starving beast, whose motives and eagerness you could quite understand. due to the mere tank top he wore and the usual green bandana tied around his forearm, he’d be left with terribly mismatched tan lines, which usually meant him spending the rest of the week shirtless on deck to even them out.
not at all a terrible scenario, you mused with certain malice, having the fantasies of sweat and pleasure and bites interrupted by nami’s continuous complaints.
“his stench surpassed luffy’s! how can i enjoy the peace and warmth of the day with an open sewage on deck?” the navigator whined as you choked with restrained laughter over the comparison.
a splash accompanied by chopper’s cries and usopp’s shouting made it known that your captain had fallen in the sea mid-fishing. yet another splash indicated that someone had come to his rescue — jimbei, if you had to guess.
“considering the amount of times luffy dove underwater accidentally, it’s of no surprise that he’s smelling better,” robin noted with her usual factual tone, absentmindedly flipping a page with an amused grin.
“that’s not something for him to be proud of,” nami whined, throwing her weight back onto the lounging chair.
“maybe they’re competing to see who can withstand the longer without a bath,” you chimed in.
“wouldn’t sea bathing count then?” robin curiously noted.
nami observed the pair of you with utter terror — whether due to your nonchalance or the mere thought of such a competition taking place, you did not know.
the strong and characteristic scent of sanji’s perfume invaded both your nostrils and line of thought as he approached with a tray elegantly supported by his palm. three colored cocktails were above it, and the cook held himself with pride.
“a beverage for the ladies to freshen themselves during this scalding afternoon?” he offered smoothly, to which you beamed before accepting one — as did the other two women.
“see?” nami pointed out, taking a sip from her cocktail. “sanji has a pleasant scent. like a person who bathes everyday should.”
the contained manner with which he held himself vanished as he melted and fell down on his knees, shouting promises of love and adoration tangled with nearly unrecognizable words of gratitude. you moved your head closer to his neck, sniffing. sanji fell with his back against the deck, limbs spread as though a starfish anchored to a rock by the shore.
“too perfumed,” you decided, returning to your previous position.
“i will stop bathing for you, light of my life, rarest treasure of my seas, golden hand whose fingers hold the chain of my will,” sanji declared with a pompous and desperate tone, kneeling as he searched for your hand.
“no, you won’t!” nami shouted with nothing but rage, and you could see the gears turning inside her head: the awful prospect of the one and only man of the crew who bathed everyday, losing this costume all of the sudden.
“no i won’t, my beloved nami-swan, the thunder who restarted the beating of my heart and ignited the flames of love within me!” the cook agreed, turning towards her.
“pity,” you noted, sipping on your cocktail. sanji stopped mid-sentence, as if malfunctioning.
“you’ll break him,” robin said with certain amusement.
neither had the chance to test that theory whatsoever, as luffy’s drenched figure latched itself on sanji’s back, shouting for meat as per usual. once the cook left the scene with the captain on his trail, a second of peace lingered before nami, yet again, returned to the previous subject.
“i forgot men and bathing weren’t your thing,” she stated, to which robin peeked from her book with certain intrigue.
“i mentioned that at the island we last visited,” you explained to her, and the archeologist hummed.
“how did it came to that?” she had asked, absentmindedly returning to her book, though you had known the woman for long enough to catch on the genuine interest and the scheming behind that exterior. she caught onto something.
“the flirty and laidback opponent at the latest island we mentioned, who kept asking us our type in men and women,” nami clarified.
“and i’m presuming that you answered him,” robin concluded, observing your figure.
“muddy and hardworking,” you grinned with certain pride. “he was so beaten up, i doubt he can even manage to remember it.”
“besides, he was tidy,” nami added. “as in, wearing a stronger perfume than sanji’s and whining at a bit of grass, kind of tidy.”
“so, it was a diversion?” robin had asked, her tone amused. “to get him out of your feet?”
you shrugged. “not exactly.”
“enlighten me,” she replied at last, nearly laughing at her own train of thought. “wasn’t zoro paired up with the two of you on the last island?”
nami’s entire expression shifted to one of numbness. your posture straightened and the sunglasses slipped to your lap as a consequence. the navigator was fuming, eyes so intense it was as though they could ignite at any given moment.
“this is your fault!” she shouted, pointing an accusing finger towards you.
the defensive words had abandoned your mind and tongue as nami raised from her seat. without a second thought, you jumped from yours and ran through the deck, the navigator hot on your trail.
“fix that!” she demanded, her loud tone gathering the general attention and pinning it to the both of you.
you thought about the sweat dripping from his muscles after a particularly harsh battle. the seasalt etched to his body. the dried redness of his blood contrasting against the tanned tone of his skin. the mere prospect of maiming that sculpture built by memories and victories with your fragrances and soap and lotions left a sour taste to your tongue. so, you turned on your feet towards the one place you knew nami would never dare to follow — at least, not under those circumstances.
zoro opened his eye, awake due to the commotion. upon witnessing your sprint, a grin etched on his features as his arms traveled from his chest to his nape; as his legs spreaded out in one lazy, yet effective, invitation. once you were close enough, you slid on the deck, and zoro grabbed your waist smoothly to press the side of your body against his chest. the swordsman sat you on his lap effortlessly, and you guided your face to his pressure point, taking in the mixture of sweat and salt and steel.
a whisper of the scent of ointment and gauze from the treatment of his previous endeavors lingered still. minuscule particles of sand, from when he rolled and dug during a battle, scratched against the tip of your nose, and adorned his skin as though beach-kissed freckles. zoro was edges and violence and scars. yet, if one learned where to guide one’s eyes, the brutal exterior would melt into a pool of steel with recollections drawn with passion and effort. luckily, as it seemed, those small little details were sheltered from the external world: hidden through a mist of undeniable stench.
nami ceased mid-run and choked in disgust, covering her nose and mouth as zoro raised an armpit on purpose.
“cheater,” she accused, pointing to you yet again before turning towards zoro with a grimace, “and you, take a shower, you stenching brute.”
“can’t,” zoro answered with undeniable cockiness, hugging your shoulders. “m’girl likes me muddy.”
the navigator contorted her face before throwing the towel and deciding it was best to sunbathe further away. you threw your head back with a genuine smile to observe the swordsman as he smirked, guiding his free hand further down to give your ass a harsh squeeze.
“wanna take it to the crow’s nest?” he offered, a veil of lust settling in his glance.
“have you washed your dick today?” you inquired, precise and straightforward.
the swordsman groaned and leaned his head back on the mast, shutting his eye. “later.”
you hummed, following him suit to take a well-deserved nap, aware that you’d need the energy for when he decided to hop on that damned sink, returning with his pants drenched from the water and malice etched on his face.
muddy and hardworking it is — but with some limits drawn.
— 🐈⬛ as tsukumo yuki once said: i like ‘em stinky. and honestly i get her. romanticizing zoro’s stench because why not?

I could fall in love with you
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・Synopsis: How I think the one piece men would realize they’ve got it bad for you!
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・Characters: Monsters trio x fem! Reader
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・cw: fluff fluff and more fluff! Sort of proofread
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ song credit: I could fall in love by Selena
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ LUFFY
Realized when he started to feel even more clingy towards you.
With Luffy it’s a matter of whether or not he realizes or someone around him realizes. The minute he realizes he doesn’t hold back on his feelings and tells you immediately.
He realizes when he starts to feel a certain way when Sanji or anyone grazes at you in any other way then friendly. Which is a feeling he never really felt since in any other situation he wouldn’t care about if someone flirts or flaunts over you.
He starts to crave your attention and presence more and everyone around him will most likely notice.
You and Luffy sit on top of the head of the thousand sunny pointing out clouds shapes making stories and backgrounds to them. Watching the sunset a beautiful ray of colors and scenery cover the sky.
“Shishi that one looks like a sea cow doesn’t Y/N!” Your captain said pointing and laughing at a cloud that strangely resembled a giant sea creature. You look to where he’s pointing to see the cloud he’s mentioning. You can’t help but smile and laugh at the remembrance. “ yeah it does look like a sea cow Luffy!”
As the laughter begins to die down, Luffy with an unreadable expression turns to face you without saying a word. As you turn to face him his famous smile returns to his face “Y/N i love you so much! You know that right!”
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ ZORO
Realized when he got a little too overprotective of you even more than he’s willing to admit.
First of all, as soon as he gets the slightest hint that he’s head over heels in love with you he’s denying it and will try to deny it as much as he is possibly able to. DENIAL IS A RIVER IN EGYPT.
Which is also why he wouldn’t confess first.
Zoro is known for being the protector of the strawhat pirates, by nature he has his hand on his swords the minute the crew is In danger. It's not that he is more protective towards you than the crew, it's more like he’s more protective of you towards others that have pertenal feelings towards you. Which once again is not really his main train of thought yk.
Of course he would never admit, but he likes to have your company near him. May it be you reading a book in the crows nest while he trains or just being near him while he’s napping.
As the sun shines on the sea and everything in its path. You Nami and Robin were sunbathing on the deck as Sanji came by with fresh drinks for the three of us. Luffy Chopper and Usopp playing around the ship while laughing with zoro training in the crows nest.
“NAMI SWANN~ Y/N CHANN~ ROBIN DEARR~ I'VE MADE YOU LOVELY LADIES SOME REFRESHING BEVERAGES! SO BEAUTIFUL I COULD JUST MELT!”
He says with hearts in his eyes placing the drinks down on a table and hanging them out one by one.
“Aye, curly brows give em a break will ya!”
And that Is all you hear form the green haired swordsman before you and your friends share a knowing glare before smiling towards which other.
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ SANJI
Realized he loves you differently than he would other women…
Let’s state the obvious: Sanji loves women. It’s a known fact about him. He has felt infatuation before to the point where he thought he was in love. That infatuation died down when he found another woman who crossed his path.
But with you it’s different. His infatuation turns into something that lasts. It doesn’t fade away when someone else is around him. He lowkey turns into Mr prince.
He goes that extra mile. He’s a gentleman all around and it’s really hot. He can have a conversation with you without any kind of questionable behavior or nosebleeds. No lustful stares of any sort, no signs of dirty thoughts, just quality time with his lover.
The crew had all departed ways to follow their regular duties and routines after dinner. However you stayed after dinner to help Sanji with the kitchen while of course he always insisted that there was no need for you to worry your pretty little head.
You always insisted on helping and how could he ever say no to you. So there you two are, wasting and drying dishes. One by one.
“ I wonder what different types of fish and seasonings are in the all blue?” “What color do you think the water is there?” You ask him while drying a plate. As he passes the next dish that needs to be dried.
“The all blue hm…you know just what to ask me, don’t you? A beautiful girl like you deserves a gorgeous answer.. don’t you think?” You nod while putting the last dish away.
“Let’s see..if I had to think of a color, one that matched the idea of all the world's fish swimming together.. I’d say sky blue. A brilliant sky blue it has to be!”

Sun bathing with luffy
Nothing but fluff here! luffy is just really clingy
• lowercase is intentional
word count: 1,547

it was a bright sunny day on the ship, everyone was outside doing what they always do. sanji was in the kitchen, zoro was training, usopp, chopper, and luffy were all outside on the deck playing around. you, robin, and nami decided to relax outside aswell. it was the perfect day for it, so the three of you put on your bathing suits and laid out your sunbeds. robin brought her umbrella, which robin and nami could only fit under, but you didn’t mind.
laying down, just enjoying the sun's warmth on your skin, you almost fell asleep until you hear wet, running footsteps coming closer and closer, then suddenly little drops of water splashed on you while something was blocking the sun. you squinted your eyes, trying to make out what it was. it was luffy, drenched in water, in his swim trunks. on his waist was a donut-shaped floaty.
“hey y/n, wanna see something cool?”
knowing luffy, you were afraid this wasn’t going to be actually cool, just something stupid he thought was cool. wiping the water from your stomach, you said,
“no thanks, luffy, i’m busy.” you shook your head and went back to your previous position with your hands behind your head. “can you move now? you’re blocking the sun.”
luffy didn’t move. he stared blankly at you for a moment, then moved closer, once again getting water all over you from his dripping hair and body.
“can i stay here with you?” luffy gave you a small grin.
you grunted slightly. “c’mon, luffy! you’re getting me all wet!” you shoved his face out of your view, but he forced his head forward.
“pleeease, y/n, i wanna sunbathe too!” he bent his knees up and down slightly, his wet hair dangling in front of his face, and the rubber of his floaty squeaking due to his movements. your eyebrow twitched.
“i never said you couldn’t, just not around me.” you sat up straight, your hands barely gripping the sides of your bed.
luffy dozed off, then gasped before running downstairs. weird. you didn’t really care. once again, you laid down. finally, some peace and quiet—
“y/n, dearr!” sanji exclaimed, love in his eyes, running towards you with a nice cream soda drink with a cherry on top, on a platter. he bowed his head and leaned it towards you.
“this is for you, such a lovely day, isn’t it? a cold beverage for your beautiful self to feel refreshed!”
“ah—thank you, sanji!” you took the drink and sipped from the straw. “it’s delicious, very refreshing, sanji, thank you!” you gave him a warm smile while still drinking it.
“of course, anything for you!” robin and nami were also drinking the same beverage. you took the cherry from the top of your drink and ate it. not moments later, luffy came bursting out of the door with a towel and a sunbed. you sighed, shaking your head in annoyance, not even bothering to sit up as luffy dragged his sunbed over to where you were laying. he plopped it down right next to yours, the squeak of the rubber against his skin as he wiggled out of his floaty.
“i’m here, y/n! i’m ready to sunbathe with you!” he grinned, throwing his towel onto the bed and laying down in one dramatic flop. you groaned, shifting slightly to avoid getting soaked again. “seriously? i thought you were gonna leave me alone.”
luffy sat up. “leave you alone? why would i do that?” he frowned, confused. you could feel your patience waning, but before you could respond, sanji came rushing back,
“ladies! i prepared a—" he paused, glancing at luffy and the mess of water now spreading across the deck. his eyes twitched, but he quickly composed himself. "—i prepared a lunch! a special dish, just for you, but... it might be best to have it inside. away from... all this wetness.” his voice was tinged with annoyance at luffy’s presence.
you glanced over at the rest of the crew—robin and nami were now getting up from their seats, enjoying their drinks, and zoro was, still training nearby, ignoring all of the chaos. between chopper and ussop
“sure, sanji, that sounds great,” you said, finally sitting up and stretching.
luffy, on the other hand, was trying to keep you outside with him. “wait! i wanna eat outside! it’s way better out here!” he protested. sanji raised an eyebrow. “not with you soaking the entire floor. the food isn’t even for you, it’s for nami, robin, and y/n.”
“come on, sanji, it’s just a little water!” luffy shook his head lightly. you couldn’t help but laugh at the image of luffy reminding you of a dog.
“i’ll be right back, luffy” you assured him. luffy pouted and crossed his arms. he hated seeing you leave, he just wanted to spend time with you. the four of you left while luffy waited on his bed.
“stupid cook,” he murmured.
as the group headed inside, you couldn’t help but feel guilty about leaving luffy behind. you sat down at the table as sanji gave all three of you your dishes. amazed at the food, sanji began cooking again, most likely for everyone else. you began eating. nami, still amazed by sanji’s cooking, said, “it’s so good, sanji!”robin nodded. “agreed! i couldn’t think of a better lunch for this weather.”
you also nodded, unable to talk with the food in your mouth. sanji blushed at all this praise, turning his head to face you. “thank you, ladies. enjoy!” he said, before turning back to his cooking. after eating, you all left the kitchen with nothing left but the taste of heaven still in your mouths.
“maaan, i want seconds!” you cried out, clutching your fists together.
“y/n, over here!” luffy waved his arms and saw that he had moved your sunbed to the other side of the dock. nami and robin giggled at the sight.
“luffy! what are you doing?!” you stomped towards him with your hands on your hips. “we’re gonna sunbathe together!” he giggled, then chuckled. “no.” you stared down at him.
“no?” luffy repeated.
you grabbed your sunbed and walked halfway with it before luffy stopped you.
“where are you going?!” he pulled at the handle of the bed while you were pulling the other “somewhere— else!” you pulled with all your might. this went on for a whole minute—both of you playing tug of war for the bed. at this point, you gave up.
“fine.” you sighed exaggeratedly, letting go. luffy grabbed both handles and set it down closer to himyou both laid down as luffy pulled you closer to his chest. “see? isn’t this fun?” he giggled again.
“yeah, it is,” you said, flushed in the face.

Headaches
Roronoa Zoro x Sanji x gn! Reader
wc: 1.3k
warnings: none
Sanji and Zoro have been fighting a lot more lately, and you’re determined to find out why
You were tired of stopping fights. It seemed almost every day at this point that it was happening, you wake up, Sanji and Zoro are bickering. You make port, they’re fighting. Even Chopper was getting tired of patching up their bruises.
You knew they bickered, you saw it from the very beginning, but you have no idea what could’ve made it worse. So far, it’s been a normal day on the Sunny, heat bearing down and the ocean carrying a cool breeze, one that leads you to a small town.
It’s as you’ve gathered your things that you hear a loud crash from up on deck, and you rush upstairs, fearing the worst. But when you reach the top, it’s Zoro and Sanji again, the former having shoved the cook so roughly into the taffrail that it’s broken.
Franky and Usopp both let a bewildered cry, but you? You’re steaming. A scuffle here and there is one thing, but this has gotten out of hand.
You storm up to them, pulling them apart with the help of Robin before practically getting in both of their faces. “What the actual fuc- no, you know what, let’s go somewhere else.”
You drag the two men below deck by their arms, not struggling to break free even though they could. You shove them both down onto two separate chairs.
“What the actual fuck has been wrong with you two? I know you bicker, but this is out of hand!”
They - well, Sanji, - look sheepish, but stay silent. You look at them both and then the nearby window. Luffy won’t even notice if one of them goes overboard, right?
The swordsman cracks under the weight of your glare. “Fuck, alright. Tell her, Curly.”
The chef gawks. “Me? What about you?!”
“It was your idea!”
“The hell it was!”
You pinch your nose bridge. “One of you just spit it out. Now.”
They explain the situation, leaving you wide eyed and jaw open by the time they’re done.
“You just decided to fight over who gets to go out with me?! You didn’t even ask me!”
“We thought-“
“Well, please never think again if that’s the kind of ideas you two are going to come up with.”
“We’re sorry.” Sanji tells you, elbowing his partner in crime in the side.
“Yeah, sorry.”
You know that Zoro is just annoyed, so you don’t take his half assed apology to heart. You do level with them, however.
“You’re both insane if you think I’m dating either one of you after this.”
Both of their eyes widen. “But-“
“I’m serious. What would you have done if one of you had won and I didn’t even like you? You didn’t make any efforts to win my affection, you didn’t take my feelings into account at all. The only thing either of you gave me was a headache.”
“Well, then tell us how we win you over.” Zoro says, a fierce look in his eye.
“Oh, so you don’t even know how, okay.”
“I’m serious. He’s serious. Tell us what to do.”
You sigh. Knowing Zoro, you know he’s not likely to do anything halfway, and Sanji is sure to do the same. Headaches, the two of them.
“Well, for starters, no one likes breaking up fights everyday and hauling you to the doctor. So start there, start trying to get along.” You think, oh there’s no way they go along with this.
But the two men just sigh with sad acceptance. “Alright. What’s next?”
You truly don’t know what to say, you didn’t think you’d get this far with them. “Being helpful would be nice. Uh, I hear people like gifts.”
“Don’t tell us what other people want,” urges Sanji, “tell us what you want.”
You groan. “I don’t know, okay? I’ve been on the sea with you two for years, so I don’t have a lot of people trying to woo me. Just….I don’t know, be nice to me or something. Talk to me. Make an effort to actually get to know me.”
They both nod and you dismiss them from their seats. After Sanji leaves, Zoro turns to you.
“Hey. We really are sorry about what went down.”
You just nod. “I know.”
***
There really is a change in the air over the next few weeks. The fighting between the two isn’t gone, but there’s less of it. Sanji asks for your help in the kitchen and Zoro often asks if you want to spar with him. When you go into town, one or both of them follow you, bickering over who gets to carry what. It really is sweet to see, and it does flatter you. You’re almost surprised at how much you like being around them.
“Hey, come look at this!” Sanji calls over to you, Zoro already standing close beside him.
You walk up to the little stall. “What's up?”
The chef grins, holding up a few bracelets to you. “Which one do you want? Fair warning, Mosshead wants the black one even if he says he doesn’t.”
Zoro lets out a protest, but you can tell he doesn’t mean it. You settle on a green and yellow one that looks pretty enough, the elaborate braids combining the colors in a way that you enjoy. That leaves Sanji with a black and blue one.
Sanji ties the bracelet around your wrist, his deft fingers making quick work of it. “There. Nice, right?”
You nod, feeling your face get warm. “Do you need help with yours?”
“I’ve got it, but between you and I, Zoro might need help with his.”
You shoot him a puzzled look, but walk over to the swordsman, who is indeed struggling to fasten the small bracelet.
You laugh quietly and take the bracelet from him, he then hands you his wrist. His skin is warm to the touch in your hand, this close you can see the calluses and scars from the many years of sword fighting. You fasten the bracelet for him.
“There. Now we all match.” You tell them.
They both turn red.
***
That night, as you venture into the kitchen after everyone’s asleep, you stumble upon quite a scene. Sanji is pressed against the counter, Zoro against him, pressing kisses into his neck and hair.
You gasp in surprise and they turn, mortified and jump apart.
You go to walk away but Sanji practically leaps across the room to stop you.
“W-wait! Let us explain.”
You still and let Zoro guide you to a chair. Sanji slides a cup of warm tea over to you before they both sit in a chair.
“We do like you.” The chef supplies before you can say anything.
“But, spending time with you and getting our own shit together….well. Curly’s insatiable.” Zoro has a smug grin on his face, which makes Sanji smack him.
Your head, however, is spinning. “Wait. Explain one more time.”
“We,” Sanji starts, gesturing between the two of them, “want to date you. Together.”
“How….how would that even work?”
“I don’t know,” Zoro answers, “but I want to try.”
You nod. “Okay.”
Sanji grins before leaning forward, only stopping when you nod. He kisses you softly, it makes warmth blossom from your chest and you smile into it.
“Okay Curly, my turn.”
The chef rolls his eyes but pulls away, kissing Zoro briefly before the other man does the same to you.
Zoro’s kiss is different. Where Sanji was soft, his was almost desperate, lips pressing fervently against yours. Sanji laughs softly in the background.
“You’re going to suffocate them if you keep that up.”
Zoro flips him off, but lets you go almost reluctantly.
Your head is spinning, but you smile. “Well, you two can get along.”
“It’s hard work, but it paid off I suppose.”
You took their hands in each of your own. “I think this’ll work out.”
They grin back at you. “I think so too.”

Sweet Treats | Chopper & Reader
Part of the Thousand Sunny Slice-of-Life Series
Find the other parts with the rest of the Straw Hats here
Summary: You trick the Straw Hats' hard-working doctor into taking a break by bringing him a sweet treat you know he can't resist Word count: 929 Tags: one-shot, pure fluff, domestic bliss onboard the sunny, slight sanji x reader if you squint, platonic straw hat pirates x reader, no use of y/n, GN but written with F!Reader in mind
The Thousand Sunny cruised on the open waters of the Grand Line. The warm sun and gentle breeze provided a peaceful atmosphere on the crew’s fourth day at sea following a brief supply run at a small harbor town.
A picnic table was set up on the Sunny’s deck, complete with a parasol to block the sunlight — a perfect spot for your routine afternoon tea with Brook and Robin. A disembodied arm sprouted from the table and refilled your cup, and you thanked Robin before taking a slow sip to savor the rich flavor and fragrance of the black tea.
Afternoon tea on the Sunny was never complete without some finger sandwiches, and of course, the assortment of sweets that the Straw Hats’ cook specially whips up for the occasion.
Sanji went the extra mile today and brought out a whole cake, smothered with his signature whipped cream and decorated with plump strawberries.
“Oh wow, Sanji, that looks gorgeous! You’ve certainly outdone yourself this time.” You gushed as he sliced into the cake, revealing more of the red fruit hidden between the layers.
“Looks good, right?” Sanji grinned, always confident with his own cooking, although you spotted a slight tinge of pink dusting his cheeks at your praise. He added, “I wanted to use up the rest of the strawberries we got at that last island while they’re still fresh.”
He served a slice on a plate and presented it before you, then did the same for Robin. Another slice soon followed for Brook, albeit offered with a lot less flourish.
You look around the ship at your beloved crew. Franky was seated not far from where you were, tinkering with something inside the open panel of his own arm. Zoro napped against the railing beside Usopp and Luffy, who were trying to catch some fish for dinner. Nami was reading the newspaper as she sunbathed near the helm, silently keeping Jinbe company.
Notably, a certain little reindeer was nowhere to be seen.
You glanced towards the direction of the infirmary, positive that’s where Chopper would be. You remembered how excited he was after obtaining some medicinal herbs at the market a few days ago, and he had been spending so much time in his office since then, busy replenishing the crew's stock of medicines, ointments, antibiotics, and other sorts of concoctions you're not sure you understand what for.
You looked up at the blonde cook, “Hey Sanji, do you think I could have another slice of the cake?”
“Why, of course, dear!” He answered with a hand on his heart, “I’d give you ten more, if that’s what you had wanted.”
You shook your head at his habitual flirty antics and thanked him, accepting the extra slice and fork before making your way to the ship’s infirmary.
A peek through the circular window on the door showed the Straw Hat Pirates’ resident doctor hard at work, his small hooves diligently moving a pestle in a circular motion to grind up a bunch of herbs into a paste.
Chopper looked up at the sound of your knock, face lighting up as he motioned for you to come in.
“Hey, Chopper,” you called out, “what are you making?”
“Zoro seems to be training extra hard lately, so I’m making this salve for him — to ease muscle soreness.” He explained as he continued on with his work.
His hooves slowly came to a stop, however, when he finally noticed what you were holding. The reindeer’s big, round eyes sparkled at the sight of the layered cake, and you chuckled at his apparent weakness for sweet treats.
“Care to share? Sanji made it for afternoon tea.”
Chopper, of course, nodded excitedly. You sat on the edge of the empty patient bed and handed him one of the plates. You both immediately dug in, and audibly sighed at the explosion of sweetness in your mouths.
“Sanji’s cake is the best!” Chopper exclaimed with his mouth full, “I could eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!”
You laughed, “Now, that’s not exactly a healthy diet, is it Doc?”
“Oh, I guess you’re right.” He looked slightly dejected, before grinning cheekily as he realized that you were just teasing him.
You two continued to talk about your days, all the while taking bite after bite of the scrumptious treat. Before long, the cakes were gone without a single crumb left on both of your plates.
Chopper rubbed his tummy in satisfaction whilst slowly spinning on his favorite swivel chair, “Thanks for sharing the cake with me!”
“Anytime!” You replied with a smile.
You moved to stack the empty plates and used utensils on one hand, glancing at the clock hanging on the infirmary wall, “Well, I took up enough of your time. Better let you get back to work.”
You pat his head gently, "Don't be late to dinner, okay?"
Chopper nodded, “I'll be done soon. I just need to finish Zoro's salve and then quickly mix some more lotion for Nami. She just ran out of it the other day!”
“Oooh, the one that smells like tangerines?”
At Chopper’s nod, you leaned in and playfully whispered, “Could you maybe set some lotion aside for me too?”
“Of course! I can even make a lavender-scented one for you!”
You can't help but smile at his thoughtfulness in remembering your preference for calming scents, “Thanks, Doc! You’re the best!”
Chopper blushed, swaying back and forth with a silly expression on his face, “Aw, shut up! You saying that is not gonna make me happy or anything~”
a/n: oda revealed in an sbs (vol. 104) that chopper makes skin care for nami and i thought that was the most wholesome thing ever

Hi! I really do enjoy you’re One Piece prompts and I was wondering if you if could do one for Sanji and his s/o other having a snow ball fight and his reaction. Thank you, appreciate you.
Hii thank you!! I'm so glad everyone has enjoyed everything so far! This is such a cute idea, I almost held it for Christmas, but I got another idea that might connect with this so! For now, I hope you'll enjoy! :)

The very second you land on a winter island, you and Chopper are out on the snow covered beach immediately, along with Luffy who had been nearly bouncing off the walls of the ship when he heard snow could be seen. All three of you are beyond excited, once the Sunny is docked you’re off the ship and in the snow, Luffy flopping down right away, Chopper glad to be feeling the familiar chill of the air, and you’re simply happy for a change of pace. You’d been traveling through summer islands lately, all of you grateful for the refreshing and hydrating drinks Sanji would make for you, your last sunbathing session with Nami and Robin ended with you having a light sunburn, so you’re happy to be in a cooler climate.
You’re bundled up in your winter coat you picked up forever ago, Luffy doesn’t even notice the cold for a bit before he rushes back onto the ship for his coat while the rest of your crew, mostly, joins you outside. Sanji is still aboard making warm drinks for everyone and something for you all to snack on, even though you tried to get outside to enjoy the snow too.
“Come on, Sanji! You can’t stay on the ship the whole time!”
“And I won’t, my love,” Sanji chuckles when he sees your pout, pressing a kiss to your forehead, “Let me just finish and I’ll be out there!”
You sigh a bit but nods, kissing his cheek before running back outside.
“You better be quick!”
You hear Sanji laugh and plan to go back to get him if he isn’t out there after five minutes, but Chopper convinces you to build a cute snowman with him first. It takes longer than you thought it would, you only stop when a stray snowball Usopp was throwing at Luffy hits you instead, dragging you into the game. It’s almost a snowball war instead of fight, once Luffy and Usopp gang up on you and Chopper, the four of you building forts to protect yourselves.
Sanji took longer than he thought he would to make drinks for everyone, your crewmates requested different things when he’d asked so it took some time. But once he finally finishes, Sanji steps outside to join you all just in time for a snowball to hit him right in the face and hear you gasp.
“Sanji, I’m so sorry!!”
You feel awful for hitting your boyfriend in the face with a snowball, watching while he shakes the snow off and gives you a smile with a wave. You know everything’s fine, Sanji would never be angry with you for missing your target with the snow, but when he bends down and scoops up some snow himself, you start to get nervous when he tosses it towards you and Chopper but you dodge it in time.
“Sanji’s on our side!!”
“How unfair, he’s my boyfriend!”
Sanji laughs and your snowball fight builds into even more of a war, at least until Luffy and Usopp get tired of it. That only happens because you and Sanji start to focus more on each other, not on purpose but it just happens. It’s the only time you could ever hope for Sanji to just let go and fight you, with snowballs that might hurt for a second but don’t leave anything lasting, it’s all for fun. Sanji even enjoys it because you’re laughing and enjoying yourself, though he knows you’re getting cold and tired when you start to slow down a bit, before falling backwards in the snow with a giggle.
“Have fun?” Sanji smiles when you nod, reaching his hand out to you, “Good. Let’s go in and get you a warm drink then, love.”
Although you do take his hand, you end up pulling Sanji down beside you, laughing when he shouts before sitting up beside you.
“Hey!”
“What?? You don’t wanna lay in the snow with me for a few minutes?”
He almost, almost says no, instead pulling you right beside him so you don’t get too much colder if he can help it.
“All right, beautiful, just a few moments. Then we’re taking you inside for a drink and a warm bath.”
“Mm okay…” You grin to yourself before saying, “Only if you’ll join me~”
Sanji nearly chokes on his breath at your suggestion, making you laugh once more.
If that’s where it leads, he’ll gladly join you for more snowball fights in the future. Maybe next time he’ll be on your team too.

I love in post-time skip when the Strawhats meet a new pirate foe or a new marine officer with the piss poor task of reining them in and they’re like, “oh so this is the fabled strawhats crew, eh? I am aware of your strength and resilience, and will treat you as the dangerous collection of super soldiers and assassins that you must be-“
Only to see that none of the strawhats have acknowledged their presence at all. Zoro and Sanji are still fighting. Chopper’s still napping in Robin’s lap as she reads. Usopp and Luffy are still finger-painting on the helm. Brook hasn’t stopped playing and Jimbei hasn’t stopped peacefully listening. Franky’s helping Nami design a new desk for map making without as much of a glance in the intruders direction.
The pirate/marine gets to see the ridiculousness of the crew in full view. They’re just a bunch of silly guys. They’re just a bunch of silly guys with power scaling so off the fucking chart that they have embarrassed the world government along with every Emperor of the Sea, most Warlords, and all of the Worst Generation.
Isn’t that thought terrifying? That they weren’t even taking any of that all too seriously? What if they had? What if Luffy wanted his enemies to bleed? To choke on their own blood? Would this group follow him? Slit their throats? Snap their spines? Burn them, beat them, tear them limb from limb?
The strawhat crew could run the ocean red if they wanted but instead they spend their afternoons finger-painting and designing new map making equipment and sunbathing.
Let’s all be thankful for Luffy’s endless mercy.

Luffy x Reader. Luffy asking for Sanji's help to became a gentleman so he can date Reader. (SFW)
How To Be a Gentleman

Luffy asking Sanji’s help to become a gentleman
Has Luffy started to become more respectful towards women? You wonder what has happened with his attitude, especially when it comes to you. But little did you know that he started to change for you, hoping that you would like him back and that he could be worthy of dating you.
Female pronouns!
================================
Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper were fishing, waiting for a catch while Nami and you were sunbathing. Suddenly, Sanji arrived with three drinks.
Sanji— “Nami-swannnn!!! ____-channnnn!!!”
Luffy quickly turns his head around. He doesn't know why, but he gets annoyed when Sanji flirts with you. He feels an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach. He hates it. Is this what we call jealousy?
But that uncomfortable feeling in his stomach quickly goes away when he sees you. He loves staring at you. He knows that he likes you in another way. He finally realized and understood that a few days ago.
Sanji— “Ladies I brought you some drinks!” — He gives each one of you a drink —
Nami— “Oh, thank you, Sanji!”
— “Thank you, Sanji! You're such a gentleman!”
Gentleman... that word again. You always call Sanji a gentleman. Is being a gentleman really that good? Do you like guys that are a gentleman? He wants you to like him!
Sanji— “You’re welcome, lovely ladies! Now where’s Robin-Chan!? ROBIN-CHANNN!!!!”
Sanji quickly goes to search for Robin while you giggle and drink the delicious drink he gave you. Luffy simply stares at you but quickly looks away when he feels the fishing rod getting pulled.
Luffy— “Hey guys! I think I caught something pretty big!” — He starts pulling the fishing rod —
Chopper— “Let me see! Let me see!”
Luffy pulled a big and scary type of fish, it was almost twice his size!
Chopper— “WOOOH! SCARY!!”
Usopp— “WOHOOO! THAT THING IS HUGE!!”
Luffy— “Hey, ____! Look at what I caught!”
He stands next to you, holding the still-living fish, unintentionally putting the fish's mouth near your head.
— "LUFFY, GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME!" — You quickly stand up and move away from him —
Nami— “Luffy, what the hell! Learn to be a gentleman!”
Luffy just stands there. He should learn to be a gentleman? Maybe he is right; maybe you do like gentlemen, and that's the only way he could get you to like him. He should ask Sanji for help since he's a gentleman.
Some hours later
Sanji was getting started to prepare dinner, but he didn't expect to have some company.
Sanji— “Wait for dinner, Luffy, it's not ready yet”
Luffy— “That’s not what I came here for”
Sanji— “Mhmm?”
Luffy— “Sanji, I want you to help me to become a gentleman!”
……..
Silence filled the room. Sanji stopped cooking.
Sanji— “…You want to become a gentleman..?”
Luffy— “Yes.”
Sanji— “Are you serious? Why do you want to become one right now?”
Luffy— “Well, because ____ likes gentlemen and I want her to like me because I want to ask her out on a date!”
Sanji— “WHAT?! No, no, no. There's no way you're asking her out!”
Luffy— “What?! Why not!? C'mon, Sanji!”
Sanji— “You’re too stupid to even understand what being a gentleman means!”
Luffy— “Well that's why I'm asking you to teach me! C'mon, Sanji. I really like ____”
Sanji stares at Luffy and starts to think for a moment: would it be a good idea for Luffy to date you? He knows that Luffy would never intentionally break your heart, but he's too dumb for this kind of relationship!
Plus, he'll be heartbroken if you date someone. But he never expected that it was going to be his captain falling for you.
Sanji— Sigh — “Well… I guess I could teach you some things…”
Luffy— He smiles — “Thank you, Sanji! You're the b-”
Sanji— “BUT! If you ever break her heart I’ll kick your ass, understood!?”
Luffy— He nods —
Sanji— He sits next to Luffy — “First of all, men mustn’t kick a woman! That’s the biggest mistake you can do! Never kick a woman”
Luffy— “What? But I already-“
Sanji— “NEVER KICK A WOMAN!”
Luffy— “ok.”
Sanji— “Good. Now, always let ladies first!”
Luffy— “First in what? In fighting?”
Sanji— “No, stupid! I mean in everything else other than putting them in danger! You must always protect women.”
Luffy— “I don’t like this…”
Sanji— “And third, shower.”
Luffy— “What?”
Sanji— “Shower! Luffy, no offense but you stink, how many times do you shower per week?”
Luffy— “Uh… I don’t know, maybe one day in a week..?”
Sanji— He sighs — “Okay.”
Luffy— “…So that’s it? That’s all I need to do for ____ to like me?”
Sanji— “You still need to learn more! Go take a shower first!”
Luffy— “Okay, okay!”
After Luffy went to take a shower, Sanji taught Luffy everything he knew about being a gentleman, including how to take care of his hygiene, to take you on a date first and don’t rush things, never to hit a woman, how to respect women, and of course, how to take care of women. Oh, did I also mention that he taught him how to respect and take care of women, especially you?
You've probably noticed that he has been more respectful towards Nami, Robin, and you these past few days. He has been opening the door for all of you, becoming more protective of all of you, and speaking to all of you with respect, just like a gentleman! You wonder where this sudden change came from.
Luffy— “Okay! I think I'm ready for this.”
Luffy confidently went to search for you and found you calmly reading a book in the library. He was hiding a rose behind his back.
Luffy— He takes a deep breath — “Hey __- I-I mean! Hello, beautiful lady.”
— Your shift your gaze from the book to look at Luffy — "Luffy? Oh, hey! Um... Did you say 'beautiful lady'?"
Luffy— He takes a rose out the rose and puts it behind your ear — “A beautiful rose for another beautiful rose”
Of course, you get a little flustered; you didn't expect Luffy to ever say those kinds of things. What was he trying to do? Why was he acting so differently lately? Why was he talking like that? Is he trying to flirt with you?
— “Um… Luffy? Why have you been acting so different these past few days?”
Luffy— He gets down on one knee in front of you and says — "My beautiful ____, from the moment I saw you, my heart felt warm. Not just any kind of warm, but a warm feeling that made me want to spend the rest of my life with you." — He confesses, trying to remember the confession Sanji made him improvise for hours —
— “Luffy…”
Luffy— "Even in the toughest moments of my life, your smile lights up my world. Every moment I spend with you feels like a dream, and I want to continue living in this dream. So please, do you want to go on a date with me?”
You didn't know how to react; you didn't know what to say. You were in shock. You didn't know Luffy could say those kinds of things, and you didn't know how he felt towards you!
— “Luffy… Yes I want to go on a date with you and I feel the same way toward you but-”
Luffy— He hugs you — “That’s great, get ready then.”
— You nod — “W-Wait, Luffy!”
Luffy— “Yes, ____-chan?”
— You giggle — “Don’t get me wrong, I like the way you're acting, it's really sweet. But why the sudden change in behavior? This isn't how you usually act”
Luffy— “…It’s nothing” — He starts whistling while looking the other way —
“He's such a bad liar” you think
— “Be honest with me.”
Luffy— “Fine…I asked Sanji to help me become a gentleman so you could like me…”
— You laugh — “Aww, Luffy! You didn’t have to do that! You know, I always liked you, I like the way you are, you don’t need to become a gentleman for me”
Luffy— “Really?! I thought you only liked gentlemen! Like Sanji!”
— “Aw, Luffy. I don’t have a crush on Sanji, he’s just really nice and I always thank him for that. That doesn’t mean I like him, you silly.”
Luffy— “Shishishi, you’re right. You only like me! Because we're dating now!”
— “Haha, you’re right”
Luffy hugs you, and then you two go on a date. The date was basically exploring the island where they arrived. Of course, Sanji was heartbroken when he heard that you were dating his captain, but at the same time, he was happy.
