Delicate, messy. Not two words you would often associate with the other, but they fit.

Not in any normal circumstance however.

Ripping open the core of this fruit, so delicate, so pristine at first.

Watching the the red liquid drip down and cascade the same as a bloodbath.

Do you even care for the bitter pieces placed on the outside? The pieces you care so little for, and so you discard them all?

Cast themside, as if they were not there first?

To tear through the layers, the skin, the flesh, of this fruit. The fine juice dripping down the sides the same as blood would.

Because no matter how you peel the pomegranate, you still rip it open and indulge on its sweetness
