maybe controversial but i hate when ppl say that skinny shaming is equal to fatphobia like shaming ppl for their bodies is deeply unkind, but skinny/thin ppl has always been the beauty standard + other stuff. its like saying that conventionally beautiful people have it worse than conventually ugly.

Why I like Eddie and Mike

They are HANDS DOWN the best characters of the 7 of them hands DOWN. 

Eddie in the book is the BIGGEST badass, not only did he LAUGH IN HENRY BOWERS’ FACE when he broke his arm at 11 years old, he KILLED bowers 27 years later right after bowers broke the same arm in the same place, by smashing his classy glass Perrier against his bedside table and stabbing bowers to death with the remains :) 

Mike Hanlon is the reason the book happens AT ALL. He’s essentially the narrator. And he is the final member of the losers club, they save his life from bowers and co, and he automatically knows he can trust them and they all know, like magic, that their group is complete and that was so fuckin sweet to me. He often puts his body in the way to protect Eddie and Stan and AHHH

ummm i hc that Eddie develops an almost INSANE need for thrills after they defeat Pennywise for good and he wants to get tattoos and try smoking and he gets a motorcycle to go real FAST, and richie is not only supportive, but stupid, so they have a lot of dumb matching tattoos and a motorcycle they’re trying to get rid of like a year later :)

I hc that Mike always wanted to be a vet or something with animals, but he just never got to :( but when they finally defeat pennywise, Bill supports his dream to care for animals :)

Unpopular opinion

I love soft!Eddie! I know that’s like,,, not cool to say in the fandom these days but that’s literally the coolest most rebellious thing about Eddie is that despite it ALL he still chooses to be soft and kick your ass lovingly

And for Mike, it’s so hard bc he got so little attention or screentime or ANYTHING that actually let him be a character, so my main opinion for him is that he deserved better but that’s not unpopular lol

A wish

I wish that Eddie had been allowed to not be a raging asshole and then a coward for like all of Chapter 2, and I wish that Mike’s character hadn’t been somehow turned into crazy man who steals from Natives and “lies to his friends” lol

An oh-god-pls-don’t-ever-happen

Oh god, i would fuckin HATE it if Eddie died for no fuckin reason and then his friends just moved on 20mins later like he didn’t literally die for them, that would suck, thank god that doesn’t happen

And it would also suck if in the book, Mike, the whole reason they’re all even back in Derry, despite knowing the dangers of Derry during the height of IT being back and knowing he should be watching his back, put himself alone in harm’s way for no reason other than to be taken out of the game so he’s not even down in the sewers for the final showdown with Pennywise, that would suck and be infuriating, glad that didn’t happen either

Punishment  Steve Rogers x Reader

Warnings: cussing, mocking (is that even a warning??), fluff (again, is that even a warning??), crying, sadness

Characters: Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Clint Barton, Reader (I think that's it)

Summary: Steve has been treating (Y/n) differently than the rest of the team, which ends up with (Y/n) finding out why exactly that is.

A/N: So this is kinda terrible butttt I'm trying my best! Also this is kinda cheesy, like majority of my fanfics are tbh. Anyways, I am sorry about the spelling/grammar errors that I am sure are in here.

“I thought you were supposed to be good at this (y/n)?”

 “I thought you were supposed to train me, not kill me.”

You and Steve together had been training ever since your last mission two weeks ago. Before then, you trained by yourself, but you make one tiny mistake and your leader thinks you aren’t capable of training on your own. What you did wasn’t even that bad, well maybe it was, but still you didn’t think that hand-to-hand combat with Captain America was a just punishment. It wasn’t your fault that the guard you were fighting got the upper hand and escaped..then blew up the facility the whole team was in. Everyone got out with no fatalities, but since the information the team needed blew up along with the rest of the building, Cap was not very pleased with you. Your punishment, training with Steve until he thinks that you are ready to train by yourself again.

You were currently laying on your back on the mat with Steve hovering in front of you. He offered you his hand, you took it, groaning as you stood. You started to walk to the bench, but Steve stopped you as soon as you turned around.

 “Where are you going?” he asked sternly.

 “There’s this thing called water, and people drink it when they are thirsty and working out.” you retorted, not even turning around to face him.

 “You didn’t ask if you could take a break.”

 “So now I need your permission to drink water? What’s next, are you going to start chaperoning me when I go to the bathroom?” You rolled your eyes, snatched your arm from his grip, and walked to the bench. You sat down and started to drink from your water bottle.

 “Are we done for today?” you asked once you downed all of your water.

“No, we still have 30 more minutes.” he replied, standing in front of you with his arms crossed, a frown forming on his stern face.

You stood up and walked to the mat.

You couldn’t wait for this punishment to be over. You hated training with other people. They were too distracting. You needed solitude to train or else you would be off your game.

 You got into a fighting stance, your right leg in front of you, and your left leg behind you. You put your fists up, and waited for Steve to take his stance. Without warning, Steve kicked your chest, sending you flying onto the mat. When he started to come towards you, you kicked his chest in return, but only sent him back an inch or two. You quickly got up and swung your right fist at his face, hitting him directly in the jaw. He was so in shock by your sudden strength, that he didn’t have time to fight back. You used this to your advantage. You spun around and kicked him in the stomach sending him flying onto the mat.

 “Oh would you look at that, it’s been 30 minutes.” you said, smirking as you did.

You walked over to the bench, grabbed your bag, and walked out of the training room, leaving a speechless Steve lying on the mat.

 -TIMESKIP-

You and Clint were sitting in the kitchen talking about your plans for the day when Steve walked in. You glanced at him, but quickly looked away when you saw that he looked in your direction. He walked over to the fridge and started to take out ingredients for a sandwich.

You were starting to feel bad for acting the way you did during your last training session, but he never worked anyone as hard as he worked you and you were tired of being treated like this. Everyone on the team has made mistakes, but when they would happen he would usually tell them that they can’t go on the next mission or he let them off with a warning, so you didn’t understand why your punishment was any different from the other’s.

“Hey Capsicle, I heard you took a pretty rough beating from (Y/n) earlier.” Tony said walking into the kitchen, giving you a wink as he passed you. Steve pretended like he didn’t hear him and continued to make his sandwich, though it was obvious that he had heard him, for his body tensed when Tony mentioned the session.

 “I wouldn’t call it a beating, it was just training.” you said, trying to get him to lay off of Steve. You might be upset with Steve, but he didn’t deserve to be mistreated over such a small thing.

 “No, it was a beating. I saw it.” Tony replied, pulling out his tablet and showing you and Clint the footage from the training session.

“Damn Cap, you really got your ass handed to you, didn’t ya?” Clint chuckled, staring at the footage.

 Steve glanced over to the three of you, and walked out the kitchen, leaving his sandwich behind on the counter as he did. You quickly got up and chased after him, and followed him to the door of his bedroom.

You then grabbed his arm forcing him to face you.“Steve what’s going on? Is it because of the footage, because I can easily hack into the system and delete it.” you said staring at him, still holding his arm.

He didn’t reply, instead he just stared at you with a look you have never seen on him before.

His silence was starting to make you angry. Why wouldn’t he just tell you what’s going on?

 “Stop staring at me and tell me what’s wrong.” you demanded.

 He still did not respond to you, instead he narrowed his eyes at you as if he was trying to read you.  

 “Damnit, why do you do this to me?! You are always more strict with me, and you always act different with me! What did I do to deserve this?!” you screamed at him, tears threatening to escape from your eyes. You yanked your hand off his arm and stormed to your room, leaving a speechless Steve behind...again.

 -TIMESKIP-

You laid in bed crying and thinking about what had happened for an hour, and you ignored everyone’s attempts to come and comfort you. No one knew what had happened, but they assumed it was bad because you never cry. What happened was really not that bad, but you had been upset with Steve before the altercation, so it only made things worse for you.

 You heard a knock at your door and you were going to ignore it until you heard Steve’s voice. “(Y/n), may I come in?”

After debating with yourself for a few seconds, you decided to cave so you let out a muffled “yes”.

You didn’t want to face him, so you kept your back turned towards the door. You heard your door open then close, and footsteps come towards you. Steve squatted so he could be face to face with you, which made his eyes widen in shock.

 Geez do I really look that bad?

He moved a piece of hair out of your face and behind your ear.

 “(Y/n), I’m so sorry.” he whispered, looking back into your eyes after taking in your depressing form.

 You avoided eye contact with him by closing your eyes, because you knew that you would break down if you even attempted to glance at him.

“I didn’t mean to to make you so upset, I just...I didn’t know how to express the feelings I feel towards you..I hoped that..us training together..would..maybe..make us become closer..or..I don’t know..it was a terrible thing to do to you.” he said cautiously placing his hand on yours. You didn’t move, you were still trying to process what he had just said.

Did he really like you, or was he just trying to make you feel better? You never really thought of Steve in that way until now. Of course you found him really cute, and sweet, and his laugh is like music to your ears, and God that smile of his made you weak at the knees.

 Maybe you did feel the same, but he was your leader, you couldn’t be in a relationship with him...right?

“(Y/n), look at me..please.” You opened your eyes and met his. “I love you. I love you so much. I feel terrible for the way I’ve been acting towards you. I just..I didn’t know...if you felt..the same..so I figured if I acted like a leader towards you all the time then you wouldn’t notice my true feelings.” He rambled in one breath. He looked like he was going to cry, and you could tell that he truly meant what he was saying and that he truly was hurting over treating you so horribly.

 You sat up and looked at him with a sympathetic look plastered on your face, and moved your free hand to place it on his cheek. “Steve..I..I like you. I know that you love me, but I never really thought about us like that before..but now that I am..I think that we should make this..us..work. If you want to of course.”

His face lit up with joy, and he nodded his head vigorously. He resembled an excited puppy who just got rescued from a storm.

 He moved in to kiss you, but stopped centimeters away from your lips. “May I?”

You laughed and grabbed him by the back of his neck and pulled him to you, closing the gap between the two of you.

When you two finally parted for air, you rested your forehead on his, smiling like an idiot.

 “You don’t have to train with me anymore, if you don’t want too.”He said, sounding a little disappointed as he did so.

“I actually could get used to it.” you chuckled as you pulled him in for another kiss.
