Total Drama Future AU design number 4!

He is 38 in this AU.

He was in prison for several years after All Stars, but he sent plenty of letters to his castmates.

Once he was released, he had a plan to make amends with all of them, but there was one very special person he needed to pay a visit to.

He had to go find Scott, he needed to see if Scott was alright.

After asking around, he finally tracked Scott down.

It was a pretty long drive to get there, but it was all worth it.

When he showed up at Scott's renovated farmhouse, (Thanks to Cameron splitting his prize cash from Revenge Of The Island up amongst the cast members) Scott cried tears of joy and relief when he opened the door and saw Duncan standing there.

Even though they hadn't seen each other in years, their love from All Stars remained.

Scott slept better than he had in years with Duncan by his side.

While they never ended up having kids together, Duncan was happy to live on the farm with Scott and Butterscotch.

okay ive got fantasy high on the brain so here's a little fantasy high td au that i will never write. spoilers for like. all of it that's been released so far.

the bad kids:

right off the bat, sammy and amy as adaine and aelwyn. don't have much to say on this besides i think they fit pretty well. amy would have to be a bit smarter for aelwyn's place in the story but other than that i think they fit pretty well. sammy as a wizard with anxiety but who also desperately wants to fuck up the ppl who wrong her once she gets treatment for that anxiety. also i like to think in this au that amy would have a redemption arc and she and sammy could learn how to be somewhat functional sisters.

lightning as fabian. they are both egotistical athletes with a ridiculous amount of pressure from their shitty parents and i would love lightning to have an arc where he makes friends and learns to overcome toxic masculinity

dj as gorgug! he has the capacity to rage but he doesn't want to unless its necessary which disappoints people who expect someone as big as him to be a fighter. but he just wants to give tin flowers to his friends! maybe his love for cooking turns into a love for creating and that's how he becomes an artificer. he would definitely make little mechanical animal friends. also that makes his moms wilma and digby

hear me out. priya as kristen. big worshipper of helio thanks to her parents/being his chosen one but as she goes through the world without that strong of an influence she realizes how wrong they are and breaks away from that mentality. a bit of a chaotic being as she goes through life trying to find structure again but dedicated to her friends and whatever deity she's worshiping at the time

kitty as fig. she loves her friends so so much. she wants to try so many different things. she has issues with an authoritative female figure in her life (emma/sandra lynn). i think she could rock the punk/devil aesthetic while still being so friendly and silly.

i had such a hard time figuring out who would be riz but i'm gonna say shawn. they're both conspiracy theorists who probably drink way too much coffee and get way too little sleep. i can see shawn's obsession to surviving the zombie apocalypse be turned into an obsession with solving mysteries in this world. i think it'd be funny if that made sanders sklonda because she already sorta has tired single mom trying her best energy and is (unfortunately) a cop

millie as ayda!! she would sooo be a librarian who doesn't understand friendship and the chaos that comes with it but wants to be loved so bad but doesn't understand how to get that love and is generally insecure while coming off as knowledgeable and somewhat aloof

if kitty is fig then i can see emma as sandra lynn in an "older sister who's been raising her younger sister and who knows who her real dad is but won't say" i think there's some delicious sister angst there especially with kitty pulling away once she realizes they're actually half sisters and emma knows who kitty's dad is because she's older but won't tell her. not sure how gilear factors into the situation

duncan as jawbone is really funny to me because yeah he has this crazy past as a drug dealer but now he's a high school guidance counselor who's super dedicated to helping kids and has embraced the domestic life?? kinda have a hard time seeing it for duncan but i do think it would be really funny

alejandro as garthy. don't have much to say on this just the vibes if alejandro wasn't evil and wanted to chill on a pirate ship he would be garthy.

the goths really know each other well and learned to get along even when un-gothed but thats not something that feels. totally solid. they get each other but i could see them parting amicably if one of them had to move away or something

i could see devin and carrie getting married and sticking together forever even as they begin to hate each other. they would have a kid and try to keep it together for them(and fail)

i hate their rr plot like? shelly cheating on devin and telling him via the single phone call was so contrived . their whole plot was contrived and i wish they were just homies. but they could definitely have a long term romantic relationship

in island, either courtney or duncan needed to be eliminated in basic straining bc it was the logical endpoint to their relationship. if they had lasted longer courtney would either start to turn punk or duncan would start to become more uptight for them to continue working longterm. nonetheless i love their summer romance and i can see them together at some point in the future when both of them are a little more laidback

zoke would not last forever. i dont see it. zoey and mike are each other’s first ever serious relationship and it’s fun and great but i do not see them lasting. they need other life experience away from each other. tho they might remain good friends

jashawn could POTENTIALLY last a long time they get back together in both endings.. but theyre still on shaky ground when and it easily could go either way

This causes unnecessary tension with Courtney and Heather who tries in vain to not cause chemistry with her and Duncan.

School Musical Headcanons

I had a thought about what if Courtney and Trent were the leads in the school musical causing Gwen and Duncan to get jealous

-I’m still mad that they never got to interact on the show but I hc that Courtney and Trent are really good friends in a high school au. They have a lot in common, in his bio Trent is said to get good grades so him and Courtney probably would have a lot of classes together. They’re also both into music so, there’s that. Trent is one of those really chill people so when Courtney is freaking out he is good at getting her to calm down. Courtney also understands his anxiety and panic issues because she has those too (so much wasted potential)

-Anyway, they’re cast as the leads in the school musical (to no one’s surprise)

-This happens after Gwen and Trent broke up and after Gwen and Duncan got together while he was still involved with Courtney (it’s a modern au but with a similar timeline as td) Trent and Courtney get closer because they’re both heartbroken messes after it all. They were both worried that something like this would happen and then it did and it’s helped a lot to have a friend who knows exactly what you’re going through.

-It’s good to be in a musical too because it’s a big distraction from thinking about Gwen and Duncan dating each other.

-Now Courtney and Trent spend even more time together and Gwen and Duncan start to get suspicious because “are they trying to get back at us? not that we care”

-Duncan has a tougher time dealing with how much closer Courtney and Trent are. Gwen and Trent only dated for a couple weeks but him and Courtney were together for over a year.

-Gwen is jealous too though, she wonders if there’s more too it when she sees Courtney and Trent laughing in the hallway, or whispering to each other about something the other finds intriguing.

-It starts to drive a wedge between Duncan and Gwen because the topic of Courtney/Trent keeps weaseling it’s way into conversation.

-The musical finally opens and it’s something like Cinderella, where the leads are romantically involved. (I’m partial to this musical because I choreographed it for a high school few years ago and know it has lots of duets and kissing)

-Duncan and Gwen go out of pure curiosity. It’s not normally either of their scenes. School musicals aren’t very punk or goth.

-The whole time they are both on edge. Duncan doesn’t like it when Trent has his arm around Courtney’s waist, or how Courtney looks like the princess she is but Trent is the one who’s telling her she’s beautiful, even if it’s scripted.

-Neither Gwen nor Duncan like that Courtney and Trent have to look into the others eyes while singing. Trent used to sing and write songs for Gwen and it’s hard to see him sing to another girl.

-Duncan grips the arm rests to the point where his fingernails are leaving marks, Gwen is wringing her hands together because the duet being sung is about to end and you can feel the oncoming kiss.

-Then it happens. The big kiss. They knew it was going to happen but that didn’t lessen the blow. It’s a long and drawn out kiss that the audience goes wild for and it doesn’t help that Courtney and Trent are really good at acting like they’re enjoying it.

-For the first time it hits Duncan that this is what it felt like for Courtney to see him kiss Gwen. He feels like he’s gonna throw up and punch a wall at the same time and they’re only pretending. At least he hopes they’re only pretending. All of a sudden it’s hitting him how awful what he and Gwen did. No matter what issues he and Courtney were having he’s experiencing first hand that this is torture.

-Gwen feels like the worst person on the planet because she has no right to be upset by a stage kiss because she is the one who broke things off.

-Duncan actually tries to leave. The show is only half over but he’s had enough. The only thing that stopped him was when he remembered that he came here with Gwen and it would be obvious if he left now.

-So he has to sit through it and watch Courtney kiss Trent two more times.

-After the show is over it gets really awkward. Gwen is really quiet and Duncan needs a cigarette.

-It gives both of them a lot to think about. Duncan goes radio silent when anyone tries to text/call him. He’s really angry and upset and he can’t tell if he’s mad at Courtney or Trent or

Gwen or himself or everybody.

-Gwen is also upset and hurt because she feels like shit and now Duncan won’t speak to her either.

-Courtney and Trent are happy though lol they did an amazing show, and heard through the grapevine that Duncan and Gwen saw. It does feel pretty good for them to get a taste of their own medicine.

-Rumors start going around that Courtney and Trent are together but they’re really just friends. If anything maybe at first they were wondering if there was anything romantic there but kissing and acting so intimately kinda tricks your brain a bit.

-I hc that the musical would be a catalyst for Duncan and Gwen’s breakup. Duncan runs away from problems and acts out with his usual antics: skipping school, graffitiing , out partying. Gwen keeps to herself more, she sulks and draws and can’t find it in herself to be mad about Duncan’s behavior.

-Gwen and Trent would be the first to break the silence between them all of them. Probably because Trent would see Gwen looking sad at school and feel bad and ask her if she’s okay, which reminds Gwen what a sweet guy he is.

-I love the idea that Trent and Gwen band together to get Duncan and Courtney to talk things out. Of course Gwen is hurt about Duncan’s adverse reaction to seeing Trent and Courtney kiss but she isn’t surprised seeing that he never got over her.

-Trent knows first hand how hurt Courtney was/is about the whole cheating thing, he expresses his skepticism about Courtney giving Duncan the time of day, but knows she loves him and Gwen is sure that he still loves her. If anything, Trent hopes Courtney will get closure.

-Trent asks Courtney if she can meet him in the science lab after school and Gwen does the same for Duncan, she isn’t sure if he will show but she asked under the guise that they need to have “the talk”.

-Courtney gets there first (obviously she’s always early) Gwen and Trent are watching from the hallway and for a while they don’t think Duncan will show but he does like 10 minutes late. The second he steps into the room they hurry and lock the door.

“They’re going to kill us.”

“If they don’t kill each other first.”

-It doesn’t take Courtney and Duncan long to figure out that they’ve been set up. Courtney is beyond pissed and threatens to kick the door down even if it is school property. Duncan just plops down in a desk and kicks his feet up, at this point he has nothing to lose and knows if Courtney really wants to leave that she’ll find a way.

-Eventually Courtney gives up throwing out threats and sits down and faces away from Duncan.

-Gwen and Trent really underestimated how long they could sit in complete silence. They’re both stubborn, but Duncan’s been doing a lot of thinking.

“Do you know how annoying it is to be so mad at someone, but still miss them so damn much?” And Courtney nods and her shoulders shake because just when she didn’t think she could cry anymore she was wrong. And Duncan’s sighs and gets up so that he’s standing in front of her. Courtney still won’t look at him because she was just starting to feel okay again and it’s all unraveling, but if Duncan’s realized anything in the past couple weeks it’s that he doesn’t want his princess kissing anyone but him. So he wraps his arms around her and says he’s sorry and it feels so good to hold her again.

-It’s not a magic fix for their relationship and they have a lot of stuff to work out but it’s a start.

-Gwen and Trent tried to give them privacy but got curious when they didn’t hear any screaming or desks being thrown. They sneak a peak and see that they’re hugging and must be talking really low because you can’t hear anything they’re saying. They decide to leave them alone and unlock the door(which goes unnoticed)

-As for Gwen and Trent, I think they’d just try to be friends, Gwen needs some time to not be involved with anyone and Trent isn’t sure if he’s ready either to go down that road. Also...maybe he’s a little more upset than he thought he’d be about Courtney possibly getting back together with Duncan...

Well, it’s the morning after. I have no voice, I’m running on no sleep, and it’s all worth it. The wildest Iron Bowl in history has come and gone with Auburn the victor in unbelievable fashion. The Tigers watch Alabama doink the game-tying field goal in the final minutes, and then Gus Malzahn up and tricks the greatest coach of all time just to piss him off and snag the win.

SNAP JUDGMENTS

Derrick Brown played one of the greatest games of his season, our secondary came up with two pick sixes after coming into the game with 0, and Bo Nix played without turning the ball over. And yet it is the leg of Anders Carlson, who got to take a field goal after Gus got a second added to the game, who scored what proved to be the winning three points. Beating Alabama is the greatest, beating them in a way that’ll have the Gumps complaining on finebaum all offseason? Greatester.

So many of our young men played their hearts out and I am so damn proud of them. I don’t care about what this did to Alabamas playoff chances. Where do I even begin?

I had a lot of things I wanted to get off my chest but then I saw this from the postgame.

No matter where you live, no matter where you’re from, when you become an Auburn man or an Auburn woman, you are that forever! Yes we fight, bicker, gripe about the status of the head coach, etc but we should always defend Auburn!!

Auburn is my home and many of yours too. We’ve been through a lot this year, lot of ups, lot of downs. But I couldn’t be prouder to be an Auburn Tiger than I am right now.

I’m so happy for the seniors: particularly Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson who forgoed the NFL to have one more run at Auburn. The defense bent at times (Bama’s receivers are phenomenal) but when a play needed to be made, they did it. We have been clamoring for a defensive score all year, we got not one, but TWO Pick-6s tonight.

The offense played well tonight and Bo made some great plays with his arm and feet tonight. Shaun Shivers is an Auburn legend for the way he barreled over that Bama defender and scored what ended up being the winning Touchdown. He got some justice for the TD that was called back for “holding” and left no doubt he was getting his Iron Bowl TD tonight!

Jordan-Hare: you were amazing!! When Auburn needed you the most: you delivered. And we knocked out Bama out of the playoff and set ourselves for a potential New Year’s Six game. We’ll see.

I can’t think of a collection of players that more deserved a night like tonight than this Auburn football team. They have been far from perfect this year. They drop balls at crucial moments. They miss wide open WRs. They take dumb penalties. Their playcaller makes some truly baffling decisions. But no matter the score, opponent or situation, they do not quit. Tonight, this bunch FINALLY got the W they so deserved because they fought every damn minute of that game & did just enough to send that very angry elf home with a list of excuses. Derrick Brown, Marlon Davidson & rest of that senior class walked out of Jordan-Hare for the last time winners and they damn well deserved it.

WAR DAMN EAGLE

-AU Nerd

I don’t really know where to begin with this one. It was the most action packed Iron Bowl of all time, bar none, and Auburn got the win, thus validating the season and ruining Bama’s. There are way too many things to talk about to fit into a small article like this, but in no particular order:

The defense gave up more than 500 yards, and couldn’t do anything against Jaylen Waddle, or Najee Harris for most of the game, but they got the Jordan-Hare magic plays that mattered in the end. So many little efforts added up, from Derrick Brown’s havoc in the middle, to a couple of key pass breakups in the secondary, to taking advantage of the times that Alabama made mistakes. Zakoby McClain and Smoke Monday getting those two pick sixes are likely mere incompletions earlier in the season, but in the Iron Bowl they turn into game-changing touchdowns.

Bo Nix was clean. No turnovers, no sacks. Just 50% through the air, but how many big passes did he complete? The bomb to Seth Williams followed by the perfectly-placed toe tapper to Sal Cannella, both were great throws. Bo grew up a little quickly in the Oregon game, but had a mini slump in the big games later on, until he came up huge yesterday.

Looking at the sack numbers, that comes from the offensive line. They kept Bo clean and opened the hole for more than 180 yards on the ground.

SPECIAL TEAMS. Aside from the kickoff return allowed to Waddle, which was the only bad decision of the day, Auburn won special teams. Anders Carlson hit four field goals, all from 40 yards or further, including the 52-yarder at the end of the first half. Kick returns were pretty solid, and Christian Tutt’s 36 yard punt return set up a touchdown early on as well.

GUS MALZAHN. You all wanted to fire him two weeks ago after the loss to Georgia, and the Bob Stoops talk began again. How about now? Gus just punked Nick Saban. Saban is CRYING because he knows he got zonked last night and there’s nobody to blame but him. Auburn didn’t do anything crazy, they just took advantage of the disorganization that’s become a staple of the Alabama team this year at times. When you have that much turnover on your staff year to year, things turn out that way. Saban can whine and whine and whine and get the rules changed, but this year, Auburn chapped his ass.
