Despite its media image, Disney is quite good at terror.

(Bluth is better at frightening.)

(That is, with Disney there's an uncanny eerie out-of-nowhere terror, that has this macabre menace to it. While with Bluth there's a sense of danger but it's not actually, generally, surreal or startling in the same? Also, the Bluth movies I'm thinking are usually more grounded in realistic sadness so it melds tonally better.)
