Ivarstead - How do you feel about the Greybeards and Paarthurnax? Paarthurnax is chill. i like him as a character quite a bit. sometimes i wish he talked faster but that's really my only complaint. i like how you can tell he's fed up with Alduin's shit lol. the Greybeards aren't my favorite guys but they're alright. i wish they played a bigger part in the story, i feel like they're built up in the lore as holding a lot of power just to show up like, twice for short periods of time. i really love stories that reshape them - whether people rewrite them to be trainers for the Dragonborn, spending months holed up perfecting their Thu'um, or an antagonistic force who control the Dragonborn. feels like their potential wasn't entirely filled in the vanilla story.

5. Id love to work on some interior designs for my OCs' rooms... And just get better at perspective generally!! I think it looks so rad when an artist knows what they're doing with perspective and i'd like to be. that artist. 8. l'aiha likes to do a lot of subtle or indirect things, as even when they're married, she and y'shtola tend to be fairly independent outside of having similar research ambitions! l'aiha will bring her a drink or small lunch when she's busy/distracted, and leave her notes regarding y'shtola's current project that l'aiha had thoughts or ideas about.

one thing in particular l'aiha did was go back to the first to retrieve y'shtola's real heartstone (as detailed in the rak'tika msq)! it's mentioned that tataru remakes everyone's shb clothes after they return to the source, so i headcanon that while she made a beautiful replica of y'shtola's heartstone, it lacks the sentimental value of the original.

it's also fragiler, and l'aiha learns how important it is to y'shtola when it accidentally drops and breaks. so l'aiha goes back to the first, checks up on the night's blessed, and asks for the original stone as well as any other items 'master matoya' particularly cherished.

(which, consequentially, is how l'aiha learned of one of the subtler ways y'shtola loves her! y'shtola has a HUGE collection of ronkan tomes and stone tablets regarding the echo-wielding viera of ancient past, who i headcanon was a preincarnation of ardbert, l'aiha's first shard, and generally was heralded as a 'warrior of light' in an era prior to the flood.

runar explains to l'aiha that y'shtola 'foresaw' her coming to the first, and researched heavily on figures throughout history that were similar to l'aiha in role or abilities. she would then tell runar endless stories about l'aiha. :') runar correctly surmised y'shtola loved l'aiha, but y'shtola hadn't actually REALIZED that herself until runar just up and said it, hehe.)

i'm uhh certainly doing it!! i went back and reread an old fic yesterday that i hadn't put way too much effort into and had a fun time so i'm taking that to mean my style is consistently decent :]

💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

honest answer i want it to be enjoyable to read!! for me that means leaning into honing the language, pacing, and smaller moments bc i suck majorly at plot lol i just want ppl to have a good time

BROTP: sonic 1000000000000%. like it wasnt until more recently that i really really started to appreciate their dynamic and friendship but oh my godddd they're adopted brothersssss who would do anything in their power to protect eachother and love and care for eachother so muchhhhhhhh sobbing weeping

random headcanon: while obviously not as close to her as he is with sonic, he's fond of tangle and kind of good friends with her? she reminds him of how sonic might've grown up to be if he wasn't constantly chasing down and in fight with eggman, constantly putting up a cheery front and shoving any negative emotions to the depths of his mind because he Has to be this symbol of hope, a true force to be feared in battle, while tangles quite open with her emotions, skilled at battle but also prone to tripping over her own feet per se. they both have a love and craving for adventure and deeply care about those around them. tangle comes to visit tails workshop now and again because shes just generally curious and easily excited about what crazy inventions he's making even if she doesn't understand it (much like sonic)

19- what are you excited for next year?: i've been slowly just getting my shit together this year, and i finally feel like im in the place to do one of my biggest goals-- get my manuscript published. i'm excited to hunker down and submit. i finally feel ready!

21- what's something new about your place of residence now vs the start of the year?: i'm slowly decorating our walls!! i love decorating and maximalism but i've never been good at actually putting shit together. but we have a music poster gallery wall, plus i've hung a bunch of dried plants, and i just hung a cinnamon broom over the doorway to my kitchen.
