i have to wonder what super hardcore militant vegans think should be done about obligate carnivore animals, because in all my painfully-rapidly-approaching-30-years i've literally never actually seen anyone give a clear consistent much less halfway feasible answer on that
#mostly i've just seen like “how dare you ask questions you just want an excuse to murder you're sealioning ect”#or worse some vague and wildly improbable nonsense about like. fake robot animals covered in beyond meat or something equally convoluted#which is a thing i did see someone suggest as a serious answer#i mean i already know they think i'm a genetically inferior hateful vampire that should starve to death for the greater good#because my exact combination of health conditions make meat basically the only semi-safe way i can get close to enough nutrients#i know this because they have repeatedly told me that i'm either evil or should be sacrificed or both#and yelled at me for asking questions by bringing up the whole disabled thing and then they're like#“a lot of vegans i know are advocates for disability!” as if that ever means jack shit in the society that results from anything#no matter what you do a vast majority of people in any given society will *not* be advocates for the disabled. i'm sorry they just won't.#and what do you think public perception of people who physically can't survive like that is going to skew towards#in a society founded on the belief that non-vegan diets are evil?#at absolute best we're looking at being a heavily marginalized class generally seen as something like vampires and our existences taboo.#(as if these type's own insistence that they should be allowed to harass and shame people doesn't disprove their assertion that we won't be#thinking it could possibly go any better than that is a fucking fairy tale. human nature doesn't work that way.#you simply cannot eliminate the human desire to designate and abuse a class of have-nots. the absolute best you can do is mitigate damage.#take it from someone who's been multiple kinds of disabled and chronically ill all my life. people will not “just”. ever.#i get this even from people who are otherwise very aware of and VERY GOOD at avoiding this sort of thinking#“i'm a disability advocate!” no you are not. you are a poster. my experience has taught me that what people advocate for in their free time#means precisely jack shit for how they will actually act when faced with the situations they make otherwise rational posts about#and the fact of the matter is even if you somehow really are the perfect disability advocate a majority of people WILL NOT BE YOU.#a majority of people in society will be margrat from accounting who clutches her pearls when she sees the gays and thinks autism isnt real#and who has never had a nuanced thought in her life and actively does not want to#a vast majority of people in your Vegan Utopia will not be you and your friends who march with wheelchair users and volunteer at the shelte#a vast majority of people in your Vegan Utopia will be jenny who starved 8 cats to death on broccoli because she can't be bothered#and who thinks that “carnivores” are actual nazis and don't deserve healthcare because she saw someone say that online.#ALWAYS assume your society will be made up mostly of the worst kind of person it can because it WILL ALWAYS BE TRUE and you can't change it#most people seek the low-effort option. and evil is most often banal and low-effort.#i'm just so fucking tired of every single even vaguely lefty-adjacent political movement simultaneously acting like i don't fucking exist#and at the same time that i need to be sacrificed to achieve Utopia. god. at least conservative whackjobs are upfront and honest about#how they think that i'm a burden on society that needs to be Eugenics'd . rather than trying to morally gaslight me about it.

Bro, the original storyboard are still up. Chelsea being Nerissa was a last minute change , which is why the twist doesn't make much sense. If you watch directors interviews you'll find that they intended Chelsea to be a Regina George mean-girl. Also they describe the twist as fun lmao.
Look, I understand there are storyboards. I also understand that stories can change while they are in production. I'm not doubting the storyboards exist and that an initial draft of the movie at some point had them as two characters.
There are interviews where they discuss how the story was still open for input, so, you know, suggestions, changes, alterations, all that good work currently in production stuff, when the studio opened back up with the hybrid set up about half way through the development. Just because some of the storyboards in the beginning had something does not mean it will always be there in the final product. Things change. "You'll find they intended Chelsea to be a Regina George mean-girl" fine, but it obviously didn't stay that way. And, as I've said before, there is enough information in the movie for the reveal to be guessable. I'll say once again, I figured it out when "plan get the Trident" was suggested by Chelsea. I'm sorry if you feel it makes no sense, but like I've talked to multiple people that were able to predict the twist so idk what to tell you there.
But, I am also just dubious of how you guys keep pushing this whole "last minute" change thing. In the storyboards I saw, even as separate people, Chelsea is still evil and turning into a giant fucking mermaid to enact revenge. Other than the name of the character, and a portion of her motivation being that she was avenging her mom (with the whole other bit still being the whole "becoming ruler of the ocean and taking over everything" thing), the overall reason for the end fight is the same. Chelsea would have still been manipulating Ruby for that goal of getting the Trident, killing the krakens, and becoming Queen herself. The only thing that would really truly change with these storyboards is her age, so to me it sounds like this "it's a last minute storyboard change that makes no sense!" is some form of excuse/denial so that people feel alright to ship them again and write good end fix it fics.
Also to be a bit more snarky here...
If you watch the directors interviews, you'll find that they say that Ruby is a character "stuck between really strong women; amazingly strong women... and a lot of people have a lot of ideas about how she should be living her life, and this journey she goes on is figuring out how she wants to... because her heart's in the right place in every frame of the film; she has no ulterior motive, and she's so empathetic to her friends and everyone around her. I think that was really the sweet spot that we, working with the animators and with Lana - You know we love that you're doing that because that was really the goal in an idea about this coming of age story." Gee that kind of sounds like what I've been saying this movie is about; her relationship with these women. Multiple other interviews also put emphasis on the relationship between Ruby and her mom, Her mom and Grand Mama, Ruby and Grand Mama, Ruby and Chelsea. You know, the people I've mentioned in my other posts. It's clear that by the time production was wrapping up that this was the direction and intention of the movie.
To be fair I've also seen where they describe Chelsea as a Regina George type mean girl, and it really fits the high schooler vibe she has going on, but it's clear that not all of that stayed through till the end of production.
I can also imagine a version or original idea for this movie being one where the kraken family and the mermaid family were supposed to be foils of each other, but to be fully fleshed out we would have needed more world building and the plot would have had more focus on the war itself since that would have been the ideal point to sure how these two families diverged from each other. They would both have the starting point of the end of the war, and a broken relationship between mother and daughter (one because the mother was killed and the other because Agatha left). But from the multiple interviews I've seen where they wanted the focus of the movie to be on Ruby herself and how she interacts with the other women in her life during this coming of age story, that plot wouldn't do it justice. There is too much background information that you would have to supply to showcase both sides of the story and Ruby's personal journey would suffer for it.
When talking about production of the film, multiple interviews also talk about how they developed the feel for land/the town vs under the water, the humans vs the sea creature, and some of the actual character design elements like Nerissa's water hair. I haven't seen one where they talk about the lore of the war and how they fleshed out how the under the sea politics work and how those were a super important part of developing the story and production direction of the movie... At this point who knows how much of that they had ideas for, we would have to wait for more storyboards or an art book, but my point is that it isn't what they wanted the focus of the end product to be about.
Those storyboards were ultimately changed and by combining Chelsea with Nerissa and having her be an adult, it tightened up the core of the movie being Ruby and her relationships with women in her life (since one was no longer a peer). The story of Ruby growing into her own was able to have the sole spotlight rather than having to split it between two different family stories.
A lot of people who work on and promote things in interviews will describe it as fun. It is a very easy way to get across "I enjoy and approve of this thing we did". What do you want them to do? Break the flow of the interview and take up all the remaining time by explaining in exacting detail when and why the change happened during the development, and their exact thought process in doing it, and who exactly suggested it, and who supported it, and how much of the story that they had at that point in time of production was changed by it? Like I'll admit I'm curious to when it changed, but when I'm watching a 10-20 minute interview on YouTube I would rather they cover more than just one little thing.

Don't think about Lucien Vanserra witnessing the unspeakable: his world crumbling as the love of his life is ripped away from him and murdered right before his eyes. Don't picture his brothers holding him back, making him watch it all - every excruciating detail - as he's powerless to stop it.
Forget the image of him, broken and bleeding, dragging himself to the sanctuary of the Spring Court boundary, barely making it over the line before his knees give out beneath him. Don’t think about the emptiness that surely follows, nor the weight of his grief so heavy it's a wonder he could even stand to make it to safety in the first place. Don’t think about all the times on his journey he just wanted to give up altogether, but pushed on so that Jesminda’s death was not in vain.
Don't think about him having to turn against two of his own brothers, killing them in a twisted act of vengeance that feels nothing like the justice he sought. Resist the thought of him taking weeks, months, (years??) to mourn in solitude because Tamlin, though knowing loss to this magnitude as well, could not possibly navigate the depths of Lucien's grief. Thus, Lucien was left to weather his storm of sorrow and loss the same way Tamlin had weathered his own - alone - hiding away from a world that had taken everything from him
Don’t picture him upon the dawn-kissed roof of the Spring manor, where the dance of pinks and oranges and blues in the sky only seems to deepen his yearning for an Autumn forever lost to him. And don’t think about how in the Spring Court he has found some kind of solace... but never peace. How despite finding a home there, his soul remains restless, wandering, always running from the shadows of his past. Running from his future. Running from himself.
And please don’t think about how Lucien's gratefulness to Tamlin for giving him something close to a family results in a loyalty so profound that he'd walk into hell for him. Which he does - right into Amarantha’s clutches - only to come back less than whole, another piece of him stolen away.
That beauty he was known for? Gone.
Just like everything else.
Don’t imagine Lucien slowly piecing himself back together - inch by painstaking inch. Forget about the way he masters the art of sarcasm and humor, how he wields his wit like a shield to keep others at bay, to convince them, and maybe himself, that he's not hurting as much as he is. That beneath the quips and the easy smiles lies a well of pain and self-doubt so deep it's become part of who he is. That this levity he brings into every room is, in truth, the heaviest thing he carries.
And hey. Don't think about Lucien giving up any hope of being wanted, of being loved again. That his chance at having a mate, a true partner, was as dead as his former lover.
Or how, in a twist that must have amused fate itself, the Cauldron surprises him with a mate in Elain Archeron: his undeniable yet unwilling counterpart. How from nowhere, a bond snaps into place, redefining his destiny and sealing a connection that he'd long since given up on.
And don't think about how when Lucien's eyes meet Elain’s, somewhere beneath all the layers of loss and hurt and betrayal….  a spark of hope dares to ignite once more.
And then absolutely don't let your thoughts wander to his heart being trampled on, again, when he realizes that Elain - like everyone else - doesn’t want him. But at this point he’s not even surprised. It’s just another sharp sting in a lifetime's collection of disappointments and cruel irony. Don't dwell on how he's gotten so used to the taste of rejection and the feeling of being unworthy that he doesn't even think about trying to change her mind about him. Because, what's the point, right? Why bother when history has shown him, time and time again, that even just hoping seems to lead him to more pain?
Don’t think about how despite this, he still seeks her out just enough to show he’s willing to give it a shot if she is. How against his every instinct to protect himself, he keeps himself open to the slightest possibility of her, knowing it just leaves the door open to be hurt. And don't think about how every time Elain shies away from him, every time she looks through him or chooses to keep her distance, it just reinforces  his walls, makes him retreat a little more behind his carefully constructed façade. Because facing that rejection head-on, acknowledging it, would mean admitting to himself that he's still holding onto a sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe, she could see past the surface. That she could want him, not despite of all he's been through, but because of it. That she could be the one to see him, really see him, and not turn away.
So, yeah, don’t go there. It's easier to laugh it off, to pretend it doesn't matter, than to face the possibility of another door closing in his face. Easier to keep up the act, to be the Lucien everyone expects - charming, sarcastic, unbothered - than to risk showing just how much Elain's avoidance cuts him to the core.
But don’t think about it.
Because acknowledging that Lucien's humor and charm are just his way of coping? That means seeing the depth of his loneliness, the real Lucien who's been hiding in plain sight, waiting for someone to care enough to look closer. And understanding that? It's realizing that beneath the façade, Lucien's just waiting for someone to prove him wrong, to show him he's worth the risk, worth the love he's convinced himself he doesn't deserve.
And Elain, with her quiet strength and her own hidden depths, might just be the one to see the real Lucien. To challenge the walls he's built around himself, if only he could believe, one more time, that he's worthy of being chosen, of being loved.
But perhaps Mor is right - they aren’t ready. And Lucien’s not sure he’s ready to gamble his heart on hope again. Not yet, anyway.
So, really, don’t think about it—unless you’re ready to root for them, to believe in the kind of love that could be their light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Because Lucien and Elain? They could be something epic, a testament to the power of second chances and the strength of a love that comes when you least expect it but most need it. That their path isn’t just about two people finding love in an unfair world that has taken the things they both hold dear; it’s a journey of coming back to life after being lost in the dark for far too long.
So yeah, just don’t. It’s a lot.

I love your work!! Congrats on 1k followers- your fics are amazing💙💙 May I request ‘country house’ and ‘something isn’t right about (setting). Something is off.’ ? Maybe with Price x reader please? (-:
1k game here - no more please!
i have an unreasonably difficult time thinking of a "something's off" for these prompts. but we write on nonetheless!
1.1k of price being your young daughter's "imaginary" friend. fair warning, this one doesn't have an actual price appearance, it's mostly just vibes. (cw for implied stalking/haunting, no smut!)
The big country house is your dream home.
It had come when you most needed it - your sister had finally gotten tired of letting you and your five year old couch surf and kicked you out with no warning, leaving you with only your car to live in and no prospects.
You'd been driving through a tiny town, only even heard about the house because of a kind waitress who took pity on you when you told her about your situation. She introduced you to her younger sister, a local realtor who'd recently marked down a nice family home to practically nothing because she couldn't get it to sell.
It had seemed too good to be true, honestly. The house is a grand thing - two stories, a wraparound porch, relatively new appliances. The price you paid - you negotiated down - was practically pennies.
But you don't have the privilege of questioning your blessings with a little one relying on you. So you tell yourself that this is just good karma, and you get yourself moved into the home as quickly as possible.
It's weeks later, from that same waitress, that you learn why the house was so cheap. Apparently a local man had been murdered there only a few months ago - a robbery gone wrong, if your source is to be believed, and an apparently very violent death for the poor man living there alone.
It certainly changes the way you feel in the house, knowing that something so horrible happened less than a year ago. The house still feels the same, but you look at it with the knowledge of who might've been there before.
You're... well, you're very lonely these days. You work long hours at home, holed up in your home office, responding to emails and sitting on calls all day. You only really leave to drop off your daughter and to pick her up, or if she wants to go somewhere in the city. If it were up to you, you'd never leave your new property.
And the house isn't small - you've never lived in a multiple story house, let alone one with no one else there. You can never fully shake the paranoia that someone else could be in the house with you, and you'd never know.
You remind yourself that you need to get a dog as soon as you can afford one, and try to wipe the nervousness from your mind.
When summer hits, you and your daughter spend most of your days at home. The house came with quite a bit of land, more than enough for a little five year old to amuse herself with on a nice summer day. You find that you enjoy sitting on the back porch with a cool drink and a book, keeping one eye on the story and another on your daughter while she plays with her dolls.
She doesn't have many friends. You'd worry, but she's always been a happy girl, and she doesn't seem to have any sort of social issues. You don't have the money to get her to a doctor, so you comfort yourself with the idea that she's just a shy child.
So you spend your summer, just the two of you. You spend an almost regrettable amount of time in your office with the door open so you can hear if something goes wrong, but you watch the small nest-egg grow in your bank account, and you tell yourself you'll make it up to your little girl by spoiling her later.
You only start to grow truly concerned about midway through the summer, when your daughter comes to you and tells you about an imaginary friend.
"John says we should play outside today," she says over breakfast one morning, casual as can be between mouthfuls of pancake.
"What's that, honey?" You ask, only half paying attention as you mix another batch.
"John wants to go outside. He's says it's a nice day. He doesn't like that you stay inside so much."
That makes you pause, turning to look over at your daughter. She's never known a John in her life. You have no idea where this is coming from.
"Who's John, sweetheart?"
"My friend," she replies, swinging her legs above the floor, happy as can be. "He was here first. We play together when you're workin'."
You blink at her a little dumbly. You know, logically, that John must be an imaginary friend - someone her little five year old mind has conjured in all her hours alone in the big house. But still, your simmering paranoia about there being someone else in the house spikes.
"Have I ever met John, honey?"
"Nuh-uh," she giggles a little, looking at you with an expression that says silly mommy. "John's not really there, mommy. That's why I gotta take everything outside."
You nod a little, your worry assuaged. It's just an imaginary friend - a perfectly normal kid thing.
"Well," you hum, turning to the skillet to start on your own pancakes. "I wouldn't mind working on the porch today, baby. You and John can play outside all you want."
It should be just that. It is just that.
Except... the idea of an imaginary friend eats at you.
As the pieces start connecting you tell yourself that you've spent too much time alone in this big old house. You tell yourself you need to get out, to find communities for both you and your baby to get involved with.
But the dots still connect.
You think of all the times you've heard your daughter start crying in the middle of the night, only for her to be giggling by the time you get to her room. You think of the night you were sure you left the stove on (you'd planned to make brownies, but gotten distracted while the oven preheated) only to find it completely turned off when you rushed downstars.
You think of the full conversations your sweet baby girl tells about John. She tells you he's tall, with a big beard, and a funny hat. She says he's got a nice voice and soft hands. She says he tells her bedtime stories, and that he has a funny accent.
You sit on the porch one night, and the back door opens behind you. Instead of the sound of small feet pattering towards you, there's silence. The door closes another moment later.
Your daughter tells you that John thinks you should spend more time with them - not her, with them.
The bed is made one day when you're sure you hadn't bothered in the morning. You'd been overwhelmed with work, had been too stressed to bother tucking in your comforter. When you go to bed that night, it's perfectly made with almost military precision.
You watch from the porch as your daughter giggles with her doll, dancing the little toy through the air and talking to nothing. You blow a cool breath over your mug, and tell yourself there's nothing there.
That night, there's a spot of warmth in your bed when you lay down to sleep.

tw(s): yandere themes, reference to sa, murder, mention of possible suicide
yandere Tate Langdon who first saw you when you moved in with your family. He was sitting outside listening to Hayden rant about Ben for the umpteenth time. It was like that hole that had been ripped in his soul by Violet was repaired. No, you seemed so different from her. Violet's heart called out to him but your soul screams for his loving caress.
yandere Tate Langdon who is immediately blocked by Violet and her mother when he tries to see you better. Both are insistent that he stays away from you. They bother threaten him but he's only half listening. He's standing on his tiptoes looking through his your our window. He practically has hearts in his eyes.
yandere Tate Langdon who is consistently cockblocked by Violet's family and Moira. Violet immediately introduced you to the fact that ghosts are in this house. Violet warns you that Tate is crazy and not to be trusted.
yandere Tate Langdon who attacks Violet and drags her down to the basement so he can spend time with you.
yandere Tate Langdon who manipulates you into thinking Violet is lying. He says that the mass murder part is true, but not the murdering of the gay couple and the sexual assault of Viven. He cries his heart out to you. He begs and speaks of his mommy issues. He pulls out all of his manipulation tactics.
yandere Tate Langdon who infantilizes himself around you to make himself seem more innocent. He is more vulnerable and soft.
yandere Tate Langdon who asks your opinion on everything. If you like it, he likes you. You hate it, he hates it. He begs you to like his things. He begs for your validation and praise. He craves it more than anything else in the world.
yandere Tate Langdon who always goes through your stuff without your permission. He always puts it back and has a fit if you catch him. He cries and begs for you to forgive him. He then cuddles into you and peppers you with kisses telling you how much he loves you.
yandere Tate Langdon who takes your stuff sometimes, a lot of the time, for private use later.
yandere Tate Langdon who has a private journal of his murder and sexual fantasies. He writes down everything he knows about you. He writes down sappy little love poems that he slips into your pocket(s).
yandere Tate Langdon who has made a hit list of everyone you dislike. As well as people near you that he doesn't like. He's written in his private journal about the ways he is going to kill your family and get rid of their bodies— just incase. He doesn't want their spirits staying in this house and interrupting your precious time together.
yandere Tate Langdon who asks you to rent books from the library. He asks a lot of different genres. He begins to get more specific with spell books and literature about witchcraft.
yandere Tate Langdon who plans on getting rid of the rest of the spirits with spells. He adds it to his journal for later use.
yandere Tate Langdon who watches you even when you don't know. When you are sleeping, showering, studying, changing, anything.
yandere Tate Langdon who respects boundaries only when they are convenient for him. He is always pushing your boundaries gently. He frames it as 'getting you out of your comfort zone'. If you get too upset or confront him he gets violent. He throws a temper tantrum and disappears for perhaps weeks. You think he has disappeared but he is just watching from the shadows.
yandere Tate Langdon who makes you so dependent on him that you'll believe anything that comes out of his mouth.
yandere Tate Langdon who will starve you of his attention and presence if you get mad or even just look at him the wrong way. He says that he is just establishing his boundaries and cooling off. What he's really doing is making you suffer.
yandere Tate Langdon who feels bad in some way. He doesn't want to manipulate you and be toxic but he has to! You'll get in danger and could even die without his guidance! He would rather get broken up with Violet for all eternity as opposed to losing you at the hands of the world.
yandere Tate Langdon who spends all his time with you. Or waiting for you to come back from where ever. Or hiding in his invisible ghost mode when your family is around.
yandere Tate Langdon who wants nothing more than to stake his claim on you. He wants your family to hear every noise fall past your lips because of him. He wants you to make him whimper and make him squirm. He wants your family to think you have some secret boyfriend. Where did those hickeys come from? Tate gave them to you when you were sleeping... he couldn't help himself. You just looked so warm and inviting. He didn't mean it at first. He just started kissing your skin and he got a little aggressive, okay?
yandere Tate Langdon who doesn't want you to ever leave the house. He hangs off of you and loves on you until you don't leave. If you have school/friends/work/alone time... nooooooooooooooo. He pouts and sulks when you aren't there. He lays on your bed and cries sometimes. He plots murder. He draws little drawings for you. He harasses your family— harasses your family?
yandere Tate Langdon who harasses your family and mentally tortures them. He uses the other ghosts to do. He'll purposefully cause arguments in your family. Put things where they don't belong. Make it seem like someone is cheating on someone else. Maybe your family member is just having a shitty day... Tate is gonna make it the shittiest day they have ever had.
yandere Tate Langdon who gets taught about the intricacies of technology by you. He hacks into your electronic and looks at your search history. By hacks I mean learns your password. He accidentally got a virus on your computer once. Any social media you have is immediately monitored by Tate. He creates his own account and boosts every one of your comment. Wants to commit another mass murder whenever someone gives you a negative comment.
yandere Tate Langdon who crawls into your lap at night.
yandere Tate Langdon who tells you his deepest and darkest secrets. Besides the entire stalking, manipulating, and murder fantasy stuff.
yandere Tate Langdon who has very special things planned for your first Halloween with him. A romantic picnic on the beach at night. A bubble bath with rose petals afterwards. Laying in your bed and listening to Niravna. Your enemies disappearing. Violet, Vivien, and Ben suddenly disappearing. Thanks magic! Now there are fewer obstacles in the way of your eternal and ever lasting love.
yandere Tate Langdon who helps your low mental health and constantly praises you. He love bombs you so very much.
yandere Tate Langdon who plans on having you commit suicide after the rest of the ghosts are gone, and your family. He'll convince you and won't let you leave the house until you do.
yandere Tate Langdon who is wrapped around your finger so tight. All he does is for you. You could even manipulate him if you are skilled enough— be careful though. He's an unstable mass murder with mommy issues.
yandere Tate Langdon who is ready to burn down the world for you.

With the series finale of "Murder Drones" happening August 23rd, I'm really curious about what the character J is going to do because for all we know, she doesn't know that Tessa is dead and it's been really Cyn/the Absolute Solver this whole time.
Tumblr media
J clearly cares about Tessa more than anyone and the Absolute Solver said that it wanted N, J and V to retain their personalities. Well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tessa and J certainly seem like besties and that J would do anything for her, so her actions of destroying ways off the planet that while bad, she'd still be willing to do it if Tessa ordered it; plus, with N and V being against the Absolute Solver, J likely would too, especially if she learned that Tessa is in fact dead. :(
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
J still refers to Tessa here as boss, so that hasn't changed, as well as her remaining obedient even if she is unsure about an order as she seemed confused to be asked to guard the ship. I know there is the chance that J is puzzled here because her guarding the ship wasn't part of the plan (if J's in on it and knows that's not really Tessa), but it's true too that her confusion could be from knowing that she's a great fighter but is now being sidelined. :/ Also, since the J we know here is a clone, there's every possibility that the Absolute Solver created her and only booted her up when they arrived at Copper 9, never taking off the suit and simply telling her everything that would help aid her plan like Cyn leaving Earth (because J doesn't mention that the Earth has been destroyed) and them arriving on Copper 9 in order to stop her plans. Admittedly, it's still a bit of a tossup on which way it could go, but I like the thought of J not knowing because of the grief, betrayal and rage she no doubt would have. Plus:
Tumblr media
Maybe this is J in the thumbnail since we know what happens when you question the company. O_O

Big anti hotdrhaenyra. HBO will never make me betray canon Rhaenyra.
Now the opinion is actively spreading that people showed their true colors after the release of the sixth episode of the second season of hotd. And that supposedly those who are unhappy with the changes made to the characters in the show, especially Rhaenyra, are not true fans of her and such actions insult the canon.
But I will reveal the truth. Just the opposite is true. The Rhaenyra from the show is not the real Rhaenyra. This is a faceless, stupid, selfish character.
The real Rhaenyra is a completely different person. Proud, hot-tempered, vindictive. She's not perfect. But she is more like a real person with real flaws.
Rhaenyra never had any problems with her gender. She was a woman, she admitted it. The Queen did not envy Daemon and did not dream of being born a man. Rhaenyra admired Visenya, but she was not her and did not try to become her.
I love that she didn’t care at all about the court’s opinion of her personal life, because she didn’t even try to pretend that she and Laenor were a married couple when she allowed her husband to live his life on Driftmark, surrounded by his favourites.
Rhaenyra was not a crazy nymphomaniac who fucked everything that moved. There is a possibility that their marriage to Laenor was never consummated, and sexual relations with Criston are refuted by all sources. In her life were: the father of her three children, Harwin, there is a possibility that there was Laena (I don’t really think it true, but this theory is very popular so let’s count it) and Daemon.
She really could love. Rhaenyra sent her husband to kill the man who dared to insult her sons. Rhaenyra's grief for Luke was so great that she fainted at the news of his death and did not take part in the war council. One of the factors that exacerbated the queen's paranoia was the deaths of Jace and Viserys, to which was added the alleged betrayal of her husband.
Rhaenyra insisted that Laena be cared for after her difficult birth by her personal maester, renowned for his healing skills, and she wanted Gerardys to care for Viserys' health. Out of love for her father, she did not cause any harm to Alicent, although she had every right to do otherwise.
Eustace confirms that Daemon was his niece's first love and appears to be the love of her life, as baby Aegon was conceived immediately after Laena's death and while Harwin was still alive. Even Mushroom mentions Daemon as Rhaenyra's "beloved husband", and Rhaenyra herself calls her husband "my prince" and is furious at rumors that her husband might be leaving her for a younger woman. And even if Daemon did cheat on his wife with Mysaria, Rhaenyra herself remained a faithful wife to her husband and had no other lovers during their marriage or after Daemon's death (I have a feeling the showRhaenyra will fuck showAlicent right after showJoffrey's death).
Rhaenyra loved her family. She loved her so much that it almost destroyed her. And I think that one of the reasons why Rhaenyra did not follow her sister's example after escaping from the capital was her love for her last living child, Aegon.
ShowRhaenyra doesn't care about anyone but herself. She has already forgotten about her dead children and is now running around the island with a dissatisfied face, dreaming of becoming a man and apparently looking for someone who fuck her. She was ready to give the Hightowers, the people who discussed her murder in episode nine, her youngest sons, without even consulting the father of her children. She went to the capital to negotiate peace with murderers, traitors and usurpers, without thinking about the negative consequences for her family.
ShowRhaenyra demands advice from the lords, but rejects all advice offered. She's hysterical and doesn't offer anything herself.
ShowRhaenyra left her father to rot alone for six years and remembered his existence, only then did she need her trash to be cleaned up after her.
ShowRhaenyra didn't get sex from showDaemon in episode four, so she went and fucked the first man she could find. This was not the act of the girl boss or a progressive woman (as black fans of the show believe) or a rapist (as green fans of the show believe), it was the act of an idiot who, being the heir to the throne in a patriarchal and misogynistic world, decided to put her reputation at risk for the sake of the man, and she didn't even love him so much. She has no right to say that showDaemon destroyed her reputation. Yes, I agree, the situation with the brothel was his fault, but it was not showDaemon who put showCriston in his niece’s bed and it was not he who advised her to give birth to obvious bastards for ten years.
At the beginning of the sixth episode of the first season, she scolded showLaenor for having the audacity to give a name to her son, and then in the next scene she shouted at showLaenor that her bastards were his sons and he should be their father and obliged to help her get out from the hole she dug for herself.
ShowMysaria talked about how she was sexually assaulted and what is your blessed girl boss doing? She immediately tries to "comfort" the other woman by starting a sexual relationship and uses showMysaria just like all the other men in her life. If Matt had been on Emma place, the poor man would have been stoned and accused of harassment.
And of course, how can one not remember that the real Rhaenyra was a style icon in Westeros, preferring purple and maroon colors, Myrish lace, diamonds and pearls? The showrhaenyra wore garbage bags in the first season and cheap robes in the second.
Every time any fans support changes to the show and insist that the show is more canon than the book, they insult the true Rhaenyra.
This is the true Rhaenyra Targaryen. She and only she.
Tumblr media
Not Milly, not Emma. Their character is a terrible daughter, wife, mother, sister, friend and queen. Sara and Ryan wrote their own fanfic and made show about it. And in a freak accident, they gave the characters in the show the same names that GRRM gave the characters in his books.

"Murder is Werewolves" - Batman
I don't got the SPOONS to do this thought train justice, I have seriously been trying to write this thing for MONTHS so just, idk, have this half baked skeletal outline of the essay I guess:
I don't believe that Batman's no-kill rule is primarily about rehabilitation or second chances.
His refusal to believe that Cassandra could have killed someone when she was eight years old because "how could a killer understand my commitment not to kill" is absolute fucking MOON LOGIC from a rehabilitationist standpoint. No jury on the planet would think for even a second that she could reasonably be held accountable for her actions in that situation! Her past cannot condemn her to being incapable of valuing human life under a rehabilitation centering framework. However, Batman's reasoning makes perfect sense if he believes that killing is a spiritually/morally corrupting act which permanently and fundamentally changes a person, and that corruption can never be fully undone.
Dick Grayson killing the Joker is treated both narratively and by Batman as an unequivocally WIN for the Joker. The Joker won by turning Nightwing into a killer. Note that this is during a comic in which the Joker transforming people was a major theme! Batman didn't revive the Joker because the Joker deserved to live; he revived the Joker to lift the burden on Dick.
His appeal to Stephanie when she tried to kill her dad is that she shouldn't ruin her own life. He gives no defense of Cluemaster's actual life. Granted this is a rhetorical strategy moment and should be taken with a generous pinch of salt, but it fits in the pattern.
When Jason becomes a willful killer, he essentially disowns him, never treats him with full trust ever again, and... Well, we can stop here for Bruce's sake. Bottom line is that his actions towards Jason do not lead me to believe that he thinks Jason can become a better person without having his autonomy taken from him, either partially or fully.
The Joker is, for better or worse, the ultimate symbol and vessel of pure, irredeemable evil in DC comics now. He hasn't been just another crook in a long time. He will never get better, he will only get worse. If you take it to be true that the Joker will not or can not rehabilitate, then there's no rehabilitationist argument against killing him.
Batman does not seem to consider it a possibly that he'll rehabilitate. Batman at several points seems to think that the Joker dying in a manner no one could have prevented would be good. Yet Batman fully believes that if he killed the Joker, he himself would become irredeemable.
Batman's own form of justice (putting people into the hospital and then prison) is fucking brutal and clearly not rehabilitative. He disrespects the most basic human rights of all criminals on a regular basis. It is genuinely really, really weird from a rehabilitationist standpoint that his only uncrossable line is killing... But it makes perfect sense if he cares more about not corrupting himself with the act of killing than the actual ethical results of any individual decision to kill or not kill.
In the real world cops are all bastards because they are too violent to criminals, even when that violence doesn't lead to death. Prison is a wildly evil thing to do to another human being, and you don't use it to steal away massive portions of a person's life if your goal is to rehabilitate them. In the comic world, Batman is said to be necessary because the corrupt cops are too nice to criminals and keep letting them out of jail. I don't know how to write a connector sentence there so like I hope you can see why this bothers me so damn much! That's just not forgiveness vibes there Batman!!
I want to make special note here of the transformative aspect. You don't simply commit a single act when you kill, no, you become a killer, like you might become a werewolf.
The narrative supports this a lot!
Why did Supes go evil during Injustice? He killed the Joker. Why did Bruce become the Batman Who Laughs? Bruce killed the Joker. Why was Jason Todd close to becoming a new Joker during Three Jokers? Because he killed people, to include the Joker.
Even if these notions of redemption being impossible aren't the whole of his reasoning (people never have only one reason for doing what they do) it is a distinct through-line pattern in his actions and reasoning, and it is directly at odds with notions of rehabilitation, redemption, and second chances.
So why does he give so many killers second chances?
Firstly because this doesn't apply to all versions of Batman. Some writers explicitly incorporate rehabilitation and forgiveness into his actions. You will be able to provide me with examples of this other through-line pattern if you go looking for them. The nature of comics is to be inconsistent.
Secondly the existence of that other pattern does not negate the existence of this one. People and characters are complex, and perfectly capable of holding two patterns of belief within themselves, even when they conflict to this degree. You can absolutely synthesize these two ideas into a single messy Batman philosophical vibescape.
Finally and most importantly to this essay: he has mercy on killers the same way that werewolf hunters sometimes have mercy on someone who is clearly struggling against their monsterous nature, especially if they were turned in exceptional circumstances or against their will. They understand that they are sick, damned beasts, cursed to always be fighting against themselves and the evil they harbor within. It is vitally kind to help them fight themselves by curtailing their autonomy in helpful ways and providing them with chances to do some good to make up for their eternal moral deficiency.
I think in many comics Batman views killers as lost souls. Battered and tormented monsters who must be pitied and given mercy wherever possible. (The connections to mental health, addiction, and rampant, horrifying ableism towards people struggling with both is unavoidable, but addressing it is sadly outside of the scope of this essay.)
Above all, the greatest care possible must be taken to never, ever let yourself become one of them, because once you have transformed the beast will forever be within you growing stronger.
To Batman, it is the most noble burden, the highest mercy, the most important commandment: Thou shalt suffer the monsters to live.

How many characters will survive?
While I do like to theorise about characters possible fates, I never really tried to predict how many could survive in the first place.
We're only at Chapter 2, but many fans, myself included, already began making survivors predictions.
Some believe that there will be 6 survivors, like Trigger Happy Havoc, others believe it might be 5 like Goodbye Despair etc.
While it might be hard to predict the exact number, we do have a couple of hints that might help us piece together just how many students will make it to the end.
And that's the Elevator CGs.
Tumblr media
Now, as we can see in this image, there are 6 floors in total. And for now, only the two first floors are available. This is further confirmed in this next image, where we see the outside of the elevator in higher quality.
Tumblr media
(Yes this was also present in Chapter 1, but I thought It'd be better to show the arrow moving between floors)
What's important to note is that we made it to Chapter 2 with 14 people, and we're most likely gonna head into Chapter 3 with 12. However, we all know about the infamous "double kill" in the third chapter.
I personally believe it's gonna happen in Despair Time too. While it is true that this Fangan seems to distance itself from some common tropes, I do think that some archetypes will be somewhat incorporated. Like, a double murder doesn't necessarily need to happen in the third chapter, but I could also see it happen in the fourth one.
Despite this, I'm confident it'll be Chapter 3.
Despair Time has been shown to be quite dark compared to most standard Danganronpa games, and I don't think that'll change anytime soon. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that the atmosphere will remain depressing for the entire show, but if the Eden culprit theory is true... well, Chapter 3 is gonna be a nightmare.
Honestly regardless of who the killer is, I feel like the cast will sort of break in Chapter 3. I'm already planning on talking about Veronika and her possible involvement in the next chapter, but for now, I just want to focus on the climax of the first half of the show.
While it is true that a double murder isn't necessary, and that it could even happen in Chapter 4, I think that the Chapter 3 is the most appropriate time to deliver it.
Danganronpa games or shows are usually split in two: from chapter 1 to chapter 3, we have the characters fully participating in the game, as a way to keep the audience and players ingaged as a way to add despair.
From chapter 4 to 6, the cast slowly starts to fight against the killing game. This is present in the main trilogy, as many plot twists occur during Chapter 4 that lead to a different atmosphere in Chapter 5.
-Byakuya claimed he's gonna bail out of the game, and all of the remaining survivors band together to fight against the killing game (successfully);
-Nagito turns on the group in Chapter 4, and exposes the traitor in Chapter 5, leading to some important discoveries for Chapter 6;
-Kokichi gets rid of Miu in Chapter 4 to finalise his plan to end the killing game, sacrificing Gonta in the process.
--------------------------------------------------
What I'm trying to say is that Chapter 3 usually has two murders and an insane culprit as a way to deliver a sort of "final challenge" for the first half of the game. After completing it, while the game continues, the cast always seems to start rebelling against the system.
I think Despair Time will do something similar.
So with this in mind, I think it's safe to say that we'll make it to Chapter 4 with 9 people. (And no, I'm not here to predict a possible triple murder, double culprit etc)
Look, we all know what I'm getting at, so I'll summarise it to avoid rambling too much.
Chapter 1: 16->14
Chapter 2: 14->12
Chapter 3: 12->9
Chapter 4: 9->7
Chapter 5: 7->5
If Chapter 5 only has a victim like THH, then uh, whoops
So what we can deduce from this is that IF Despair Time follows the original Danganronpa pattern, we'll make it to the final chapter with 5 people.
5 potential survivors.
As we all know, there's never been a murder in Chapter 6. No victim or culprit: just the students coming together to expose and beat the Mastermind. This has succeded in all games. Well, there were two deaths in V3, but that's not my point.
My point is that the trial in Chapter 6 is not normal by the Killing Game's standards.
In all games except V3, the survivors who made it to Chapter 6 managed to escape the Killing Game. While I would like to believe that this is the case for DRDT, unfortunately I have my doubts. Why?
--------------------------------------------------
The Mastermind.
Obviously, we still need to expose the Mastermind.
So then, assuming that it's not the audience and that it truly is one of the sixteen participants, I think it's safe to say that the Mastermind will be among the living students.
For a series such as Despair Time, where Trust vs Distrust is an extremely important theme, I can't really see the Mastermind being a "dead" student who, uh, faked their death just to come back. That seems a little too convenient for us, as all 5 survivors would just be able to survive.
While I do believe that Despair Time will end with our cast succeeding, they're definitely gonna have to deal with this final obstacle and put their trust to a final test.
The person who planned this whole show and put them through hell for whatever reason is right in front of them, and now they'll have to fight against them.
Actually, on another note, could the mastermind survive? Yeah, maybe. It'd be cool to see the cast escape and maybe let the mastermind rot, escape or leave alongside them. That could fit with the whole Trust vs Distrust and Black vs White themes.
That would also technically make it 5 survivors.
It's definitely a cool idea, but for now, I'll stick with the "Mastermind will die in the end". I could see Teruko maybe fighting against the Mastermind and, while she does feel betrayed once again, she'll realise that the other 3 students do have her back, and that they can now trust each other fully, since they have nothing left to hide.
As Whit said, everyone is just a person with complex emotions, and no one is truly just evil or good well for now at least and because of that, their trust in one another will catch the Mastermind off guard (even better if it's Whit).
And this is probably when Teruko would say:
"It is an equal failing to trust everyone and trust no one at all".
Then I don't know what will happen. They'll probably have the typical conversation after the Trial and escape.
So, in conclusion, I believe that the number of survivors will be 4.
4 survivors.
--------------------------------------------------
Well, that's indeed very little given how many interesting characters we have, but I'm open for debates and other takes on this. I'd be glad to know what others think.
I'm not really too interested in making predictions about who could survive anymore, as I don't even know if my theory is correct, and it's way too soon for that, so I'll just let the show unfold for now. Thanks for reading.

laying facedown on the couch. au where kim dokja's dad realize he's being a terrible human being and 1) gets sober 2) actually makes an attempt at parenting.
that's too early of a change. kim dokja grows up with two present parents and a far more emotionally healthy childhood than his canon self. imagine that! a childhood where neither of your parents were murderers; a childhood where you were never called a son of a murderer; a childhood with no murders involved at all, not even your own.
there's no reason to find any ways to survive a ruined world if your world was never ruined, you see?
at this point... that's a completely different character, isn't it?
kim dokja was his mother's child, and in his childhood, he learned from her example.
here, this is how you read a book. here, this is how you show love. see, it's fine, sweetheart. It doesn't matter what happens to me as long as the people i love are fine. i know it hurts, but that's love. this is the only way i know how to love at all.
it's true that i haven't read this story in a while. i've forgotten some things by now. still, i think he learned the art of self-sacrifice from her.
it's that tragic backstory he's got. there are some characters whose every action bears the shape of their past. that's kim dokja. what is he without tragedy?
his father never dies. his mother never leaves him alone. this is a different sort of love than he should have learned. he grows up decently liked and decently treated. an average korean man, by all standards. it never, ever occurs to him that he should protect people he loves by throwing himself headfirst into the fire.
picture this: two identical men turn twenty-eight. the first man has at least two messages from his parents congratulating him and perhaps mentioning going out for a birthday dinner, and possibly some friends he made in high school. the second man doesn't have any messages from a real person at all, because no one has fucking bothered to remember his birthday except for those automated "get a free <item> on your birthday!" promotion deals.
come on. there might be some nuance there, but it's not hard to decide who's living the happier life.
knowing this, you have to wonder: why?
in some alternate timeline, kim dokja has a much more well-adjusted life. why is that? why was it that this kim dokja's father decided to sober up, for once? what changed?
it's hard to say whether that timeline is better than what actually occurred. without his mother's example guiding him, without the lessons beaten into him as a teenager, would kim dokja have reached the end to the story he'd wanted? would it still be worth it after everything was over?
still, you have to wonder: why was it that timeline and not this one? "why was it you and not me?"
you can come up with a thousand reasons, driving yourself mad trying to figure out why. did your father love you more there? were you a better child in that world? somehow, were you more worthy of happiness?
...that's enough.
kim dokja lives a happy, normal life. you don't need to see anymore. this isn't a timeline you need to watch. doing so makes you... unhappy isn't the word.
whatever. it doesn't matter. let those windows flicker off and away, glimpsing into some other possible past and future -- this is only one worldline out of many. it's not even one you need to watch. it's unimportant. it's not the story that you loved - love -- so much.
go on. forget about it. you've forgotten so much already. one more story doesn't make a difference.
that kim dokja could never be you.

Evidence of Exodus
Many often wonder if there is any factual evidence proving the Bible being true.   What if I told you that not only can I point you to strong evidence of the old testament Exodus being real, I can point you to a person in Exodus who has a real life replica of himself. Being possibly the only person mentioned in the Bible that we can truly see how they appeared.  (With the exception of Vladimir Putin's recent 2024 claim that he has an original painting of Jesus Christ that has been in Russia).
bNow, if you're not familiar with the book of Exodus (chapters 1-14), I suggest you taking a moment to read it. Otherwise, what I'm about to say may not make much Sense. Or, read this and then read Exodus, and things might make more sense to you as it's being read.  Either way, I highly recommend reading it.
Archeologically, we're able to prove many things within the Bible, however, Exodus is not one of them. Matter of fact, some of the things are extremely questionable.  For example, where are all these Israelites coming from mentioned? There are no records of a man named Moses in Egypt. Many movies depict the enslaved Israelites were building the pyramids, however, The pyramids were built long before the Israelites were enslaved. There are many things that people question in the book of Exodus, you might as well. Maybe I can help with any doubt that you may have. In hopes to open your eyes as to the possibility that these things really could have, and did indeed happen.
Let's go back to the story of  Joseph. Joseph is one of the 12 sons of Jacob, also named Israel. (Remember God changed his name to Israel because of his faith in willing to sacrifice his son). They fell into a Great famine Aunt resources grew very slim, so they went searching for a better life elsewhere. Can you guess where they ended up? That's right, Egypt! This is where we get "The children of Israel", also known as, the Israelites.
Joseph's gift from God was the ability to interpret dreams. In doing so, he was able to interpret the Pharaoh's dream which ultimately helped save Egypt from a great famine.  So how did his people, his family, end up in bondage?  Answer is, the Israelites were living and the delta and we're living a pretty prosperous existence. Up until the moment a new pharaoh becomes in charge. This Pharaoh knows nothing about Joseph.  For none other than narcissistic  reasons, the new pharaoh is upset that the Israelites are living such a lavish life.  He ordered task masters to watch over them, which is when they became enslaved.  This Pharaoh is historically documented saying  to his midwives, "watch the two stones." Meaning, Egyptian women often give birth while sitting straight up to let gravity help them with the birthing process. Often, they would sit on two stones to help assist them during  labor. This correlates with the Bible when pharaoh ordered the death of all the Israelite males that were being born.  This is around the time that Moses was born. With Moses's mom afraid of him being murdered, she sent him away, down the river, for a chance at life.
Another questionable biblical text says that the pharaohs daughter finds Moses and the river and takes him in as her own. An Egyptian naming their child Moses, which is Hebrew is not very likely. Leaving some skepticism. Let me push that skepticism aside.
Remember, Moses is sent down river, so when he's found, he's found in the reeds. Now the Hebrew word massa (משא) means brought out.  However Moses, Moses is actually a pure Egyptian name, which means Born. Just think about Ra-Moses, Ra means God and Moses means birth in Egyptian, God is Born. Another common Egyptian term is  Toth-Moses.  So therefore, just because the name Moses doesn't appear as someone's name being an actual person, it does not mean he did not exist. Moses literally means birth and Egyptian. Something someone would say or call a newborn baby.
Moses later has an encounter with God through a burning bush. God tells Moses that he is going to be the one to help set the Israelites free and lead them into the promised land. Moses, brings his brother Aaron with him to go speak to the pharaoh. Moses performs many miraculous wonders and so do the pharaohs magic wielders. So it's like they're in competition for a moment. Moses has a staff and he throws it down and it turns into a snake. Then Pharaoh has his people throw a staff and they also turn into snakes.  It was almost like this was something that they've seen before, and we're unimpressed.  Now you can take it exactly how it was written and think that a staff was thrown down and turned into a snake and both parties were able to do so. What I think happened is, the staff happened to be a cobra snake that was stiff like a staff with the head as the handle. When you throw the snake down onto the ground it then is able to slither away. This is a known practice and Egypt then and even today which would explain why people wouldn't be impressed.  Moses and Aaron came back time and time again with  9 different plagues. Trying to convince Pharaoh to let his people go. Pharaoh gets annoyed and Now orders that the Israelites are no longer going to be given prepared straw to mix with their bricks. Leaving them to cut their own straw to mix with clay in order to make their own bricks. Giving double work with the same deadline. None of the plagues presented so far didn't seem to phase the Egyptians whatsoever. By this point, God says enough is enough and lets the pharaoh know that if he does not cooperate, he will take all the firstborns of families who do not have a blood sacrifice over their door frame.  Of course Pharaoh did not take this threat seriously, so there was no blood sacrifice and he ended up losing his son. This is what makes pharaoh say okay, You can have your freedom, you can go.
When the Israelites leave, the Egyptians are all mourning the deaths of their firstborns. So, when the Israelites asked for gold and silver upon leaving, they just handed it over with no issues. So the Israelites are able to leave rich with gold and silver.  Rightfully so in my opinion. They just spent approximately 430 years, in slavery and are now heading to the promised lands.
As the Israelites were on their way, Pharaoh quickly changed his mind and decided to go after the Israelites and bring them back. This is when the famous part of Exodus happens that most people are familiar with. Did the Israelites really cross the Red Sea on dry land? While the Egyptians get swallowed whole by the water? There is a lot of skepticism about rather or not they truly did part the Red Sea.
Here the Israelites are leaving on foot with all this gold and silver. We know that they lived in the Delta part of Egypt so we can kind of figure out the route that they took. They don't take the Philistine route because Palestine is highly guarded with watchtowers. So what they do is go through the marsh. Now the misconception lies with where exactly they crossed at. Which they actually crossed through the Sea of Reeds and not the Red Sea. Now in the Bible it says that  Pharaoh's chariots were clogged. Sounds like they were going through mud. If you ask me. Which if I'm on foot I can get through but if I'm in a chariot I cannot. So Pharaoh's men ended up perishing while God helped the Israelites make it through safely.
In playing devil's advocate, if this story is true then why is there no record other than what is mentioned in the Bible of this particular situation? The answer is Egyptians were horrible at record keeping in general. Their record keeping is mainly made up of what is written in tombs or on Stella's. Which never mentioned anything about any of their defeats. Egyptians only kept records of victories. Honestly, this entire situation only really mattered to the Israelites. No one else really cared. But this was the beginning of their entire religion.
Biblically they never say who the pharaoh actually was. Historically, Egypt didn't even have a pharaoh at this time. Who ever was in charge would technically be a king. So where does the Bible get Pharaoh from?  It's actually a conjunction of 2 Egyptian words, that meant house, great. Which Pharaoh meant the one who lived in a great house. Fitting for someone living in a palace.
A clue in the Bible as to who this pharaoh may be is when they speak of the Israelites building the store cities  with bricks. Is it a coincidence that one of the cities names is Pi-Ramess?  They are using bricks, which historically we can narrow down the time frame in which bricks began being used to build the storehouse in these 2 cities mentioned.
i'm going to agree with Bob Brier, an egyptologist who suggested the Pharaoh in the book of Exodus is...... Ramesses the Great. Why?
Ramesses' built his capitol right beside the Delta, which would be close enough to the Israelites. Especially during the times Moses and Aaron were traveling back and forth trying to convince him to let his people go. The Israelite slaves built the city of Ramesses out of brick and he was the one who built these cities.  There is a sentence written on a Papyrus that explains grain ratios to be handed out to the soldiers and apperu (now I know I butchered inthe spelling of this word, but I spelled it the way it sounded).  Which The translation is thought to mean Hebrew. Many scholars believe that this is our Israelites. Other scholars believe that Merneptah was the ruler over The Exodus. They believe this because the first time Israel is mentioned is during the reign of Merneptah, which is Rameses 13th son and his successor. However, when Merneptah mentions Israel on his Stella. It is referred to as a people and not a country or a foreign land. Meaning around this time the Israelites were still wondering. Therefore, if they are wandering at this time, that means they must have left right before he began his reign.  Biblical scholars believe The Exodus happened in year 20 of rameses reign.  Guess what else happens right around this time? Ramesses loses his firstborn son, Amonhirkhopshef.
In the Egyptian museum, you can now see the mummy of Ramesses the Great. Which very well may be the only face you can look upon that is a real biblical figure.  I love it when science, history and the Bible correlate.

Alana Bloom: revelations and character development
Tumblr media
As I'm starting outlining an Hannibal fic focused on Hannibal's past as a university professor (which I very pretentiously call a 'Hannibal prequel' in my mind), I feel like writing a piece on Alana Bloom. She was Hannibal's student so she's got an important part in my plot, even if the professor/student relationship she had with Hannibal then won't be the primary subject. There's just nothing interesting to do with this subject, except for a story of an unsuspecting student pining for her professor. Meh.
But back to Alana: in season 1 and 2, I often didn't like her. She was supposed to be this very smart and skilled psychiatrist, even bragged once about being often right, yet Hannibal played her effortlessly. Alright, he was good, but the fact that she didn't even considered the possibility that Hannibal wasn't who he claimed he was, despite Will's repeated accusations, never sat right with me.
There was a point where I even began wondering what was the point of her: she seemed to be there only for the sake of bickering with everybody and being in a love triangle with Hannibal and Will. She seemed a bit to be the beautiful idiot of the story, even though she was theorically much more than that!
Then season 3 came and it completely changed my perception of her. And it even helped me understand her better, including how she behaved in season 1 and 2. The fact that she fell so hard and fast for Margot, a woman who because of what her brother put her through was at least as 'unstable' as Will was, and finally helped her commit a murder says A LOT about Alana.
She would probably hate to admit it, but I think Hannibal helped her come to terms with the fact that she doesn't want to be with someone 'stable'. In season 1 and 2 Alana believed she was drawn to Will in spite of his issues, and that she dated Hannibal because HE seemed stable. But then why Margot? There's only one explanation for this: Alana fell for Will, for Margot AND even for Hannibal because they were 'unstable'.
Season 3 finally revealed that what seemed like blind naivety in season 2 towards Hannibal was in fact denial, denial of what she really needed. Deep inside I believe Alana always knew there was something wrong with Hannibal, but admitting it would have also involved something about her and she wasn't ready to face that truth. It revealed that she was unstable as well, while she probably spent most of her life pretending she was Miss Perfection, absolutely unproblematic and a paragon of virtue. It was way easier for her to accept the idea that it was Will, the man she rejected because he was too unstable, was the true murderer. She could sleep better at night thinking it was him, than suspecting that the true ripper lay right beside her.
In season 3 we see her come to terms with the fact that it was all... a lie. Alana values life but she's perfectly fine with the idea of taking someone's life if she thinks they had it coming. And I LOVE her for that, because her entire arc is the arc of a complex and interesting character. The glow even shows in her physicality, her general behavior: she seems way more confident, she occupies the space in a way she didn't in the two previous seasons.
Tumblr media
Hannibal probably didn't plan this, but he must have been very proud of Alana ;)

Ayano Aishi
Tumblr media
Name: Ayano Aishi
Gender: Female
Class: 2-1
Club: N/A
Persona: Devoted
Reputation:
Overall: +1
Liked: +3
Respected: 0
Feared: 0
Crush: Taro Yamada
Strength: Variable
__
There are several things about Aishi that I'd like to change because of my own interests and because I dislike what Yandere Dev has done with her.
Some of the simpler stuff is just with how she functions. For instance, I don't think that every "rival" should fall in love with Taro. Rather, it should be split into three possibilities: The rival has a crush on him, he has a crush on the rival, or they simply wish to become friends. The only reason why Ayano wants to eliminate them is because Info-Chan feeds into this narrative so that Ayano possibly murders more girls.
So hypothetically, the "bad ending" (aka the "losing senpai" at the end of the week) would really just be Ayano panicking and deciding to just kill the rival at the end of the day. I guess depending on Ayano's stats, this could result in Ayano kidnapping Taro (bad ending #1) or Ayano failing and being jailed (BE #2).
I don't think much improvement is needed for Ayano's personality, but more so her functions and story. One thing I'd like to change is how she acts when she first meets Taro. Rather than being lovestruck, she is so overwhelmed by her dreams coming true that she faints on the spot. Due to this Ayano acting strange around Taro doesn't freak him out as much as it confuses him due to her never being brave enough to explain why she acts the way she acts. This also adds into a nickname of hers being Yan-Chan. This feeds a bit more into how her peers view her.
(Way too much more under the cut.)
Unlike Taro, I am very content with her being emotionless and her whole personality being her love for Taro. I think that's very much to be expected from someone who would kill for that same person.
What I dislike more so has to do with her functions and the rivals and Taro. Putting it simply I highly doubt that ten outstanding and unique young women would completely break out of their character, personality and reject their type for the sake of someone as bland and boring as Taro.
I feel like only Aishi would bother falling so unquestionably in love for no reason due to her own strange conditions.
Additionally, I think that the panty function for Aishi is completely uneeded and gross. Not only does it not make much sense to me, but the only sense I could make is if she flashed someone in order to recieve the boost that it gives her. And even so, that's simply wrong.
I think changing Ayano's hairstyle to recieve certain boosts not only makes more sense but would benefit and explore her ability to manipulate those around her with her appearance and facade of a personality- whichever one she may choose.

"Crowley, what are you doing?"
Crowley raised his brows. Wasn't it obvious?
"I'm going to stop this before everything is destroyed."
"But it'll destroy *you*. And "
"I know there's no coming back from it. But I have to. For humanity. And I've already lost everything."
Aziraphale stared at him, his eyes wet with tears. "You still have your life. There's alcohol and music. Your - what about your car, Crowley? You love that car."
"I do love that car. But none of that will matter if this doesn't stop. There won't be any more alcohol or music or cars. There won't be anything."
"That's not entirely true. There just won't be any humans."
Crowley nods. "Exactly. No humanity. The world, as we know it, will cease to exist. And all those lovely things that we both enjoy so much will be gone because there will be nobody to make them anymore."
Aziraphale smiled. "Well, yes, but that's because they'll be here."
Crowley gave him a pointed look. "Not all of them."
"Well, no, of course not. But all the good ones will."
"And who gets to decide who that is exactly? Because I don't trust -"
"Well surely you don't think we should let in murderers and -"
"Why not? I mean, if God said that any sin can be forgiven, then it should. Besides, she's killed more humans than anyone. Why are you taking her side?"
Aziraphale blinked. "She's *God*. She knows what she's doing."
"So you never doubted her? Never once disagreed with or went against her orders?"
He pursed his lips tensely. "That was different."
"How? God gave you an order. 'Keep them out.' And you defied her. Because you knew it was wrong. This is exactly the same."
Aziraphale gestured in frustration. "No it isn't, Crowley. All I did -"
"All you did was so the exact opposite of what you were told to do. You know I don't understand this. You are so clever. Why are always so thick?"
"Stop insulting me or I'll -"
"You'll what? You've already broken my heart. There's nothing else you can do to me that would be worse than that."
Aziraphale stopped dead. "What are you talking about?"
Crowley squinted. "What do you mean, what am I talking about? You, me, in the bookshop, before you left to be in charge of Heaven.""Yes, I know what happened when - in the bookshop." He replied exasperated. His eyes widened. "Wait. Are you telling me that that was real? That -"
"That I'm in love with you? Yes, you idiot." He said the words without thinking, but it didn't matter now. He only had a few minutes left anyway. Might as well be honest with them.
"I... Crowley," was all he could manage. "I really don't know what to say."
Crowley pulled down the corners of his mouth. "You said enough then."
"Well - that's not fair. I didn't know."
"What do you mean you didn't know? I don't think I could have been any more clear." Aziraphale wrung his hands.
"I thought you were just trying to get me to stay. You know, not come back to Heaven. I didn't think you actually -"
Crowley melted on the spot. He stared at the angel. He'd been so angry with him, but his feelings hadn't changed. He gently grabbed him and pulled him close. Aziraphale stumbled a little, taken aback by the sudden movement. Crowley put a hand on his neck and pressed his lips against the angel's.
Aziraphale's eyes widened, caught off guard, but he didn't pull away. Crowley pushed him softly against the wall, and he felt himself fall deeply into the him. Without thinking, his hands flew to Crowley's face and he kissed him back. He couldn't fight it a *second* time. The hunger that had been gnawing at him since their last kiss was too strong.
Crowley felt his angel's hands on his cheeks, felt him press back against him with his delicate lips... He started drowning. He couldn't contain himself. It was like he had been thirsty for centuries without knowing and was drinking water for the first time. He slipped his hands around Aziraphale's waist, pulling him in. He wanted to be as close to him as possible. He forgot about time, he forgot about humanity, and everything else just slipped away.

Can you do a Queen Chrysalis yandere alphabet please?
I can try, sure!
Yandere Alphabet - Queen Chrysalis
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Stalking, Possessive behavior, Kidnapping, Isolation, Hypnosis, Murder implied, Forced relationship.
Tumblr media
Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?
Queen Chrysalis is a highly manipulative yandere. She masquerades herself as your lover or friends to feed off your love. After all... your love tastes the sweetest.
It can be quite intense as she's addicted to you.
Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
When it comes to Chrysalis I feel she has the ability to get messy but prefers to stay subtle and secretive to keep the sweetness of your love intact.
Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?
Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?
Queen Chrysalis treats abduction as a last ditch effort. She wants to play along to keep your love tasting the same. However, if she has to break her disguise, she will use some of her Changelings to abduct you.
She may mock a bit but she prefers not to. She'll treat you well... except if you fight. If you do... then a little hypnosis should do the trick, yeah?
Most likely but not while she's playing her little facade.
Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
Queen Chrysalis is not a very open yandere. She isn't very vulnerable either.
Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?
Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?
Amused yet a bit irritated. She thought she could do this with no magic needed. Turns out she's wrong...
Oh well... hypnosis can do the job.
Not a game and feels more annoyed than excited about escape attempts.
Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
I'd say her getting her cover blown. Your lover/friends? Yeah... they're gone.
Long gone.
She got rid of them a long time ago to replace them. Now you realize you've just been feeding a monster. The thought of your true lover and friends being dead disturbs you.
But it only gets worse when she abducts you
Originally she was just going to use you to feed off your love... but now she doesn't mind keeping you all to herself for other reasons.
Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
Yes she does. After all, she doesn't want to share her primary source of love. She will definitely find a way to isolate/get rid of rivals rather than cope.
Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?
Controlling, affectionate, demanding, clingy... she farms you for attention and affection. She is possessive and doesn't let you go anywhere near other ponies. Your life is with the Changelings now.
Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
At first she replaces your lover and replaces your friends with Changelings for the sake of feeding off you. Just another food source for her. Although... as she's around you playing her role... her thoughts begin to change.
Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
Not entirely unless she's playing the role of your lover.
Naughty: How would they punish their darling?
No need when you can just hypnotize your darling, right?
Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?
Depends what part of the obsession she's on. At first, not many. When she has her cover blown, nearly all.
Patience: How patient are they with their darling?
She has patience... but it wanes rather quickly.
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
With time she would, yes. You were unique... but she still hungers.
Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?
No and no.
Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?
Her nature to feed off love.
Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
Amused and waits it out. She isn't the best with comfort.
Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?
Skipped.
Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?
There isn't one, unfortunately. Not unless you can call Twilight.
Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?
She could but tries not to.
Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?
Not a worship yandere but may praise you to obtain more love. Will go to great lengths to keep you.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
A long time. Right up until her cover breaks.
Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?
By the end of her obsession, yes.

See ion condone murder in the slightest but when I say Rose and ren need to be offed I mean THEY NEED TO GOOOO
Please babes I’m begging for a teeny weeny spoiler on if we ever get too yk make them hit the hay permanently OR better if reader and Andrew do it together
I too do not condone murder in the slightest; however, I portray fictional murders, stalking, and all other non-safe events in my series as something that you should NOT do in real life. I also do not write the events of real murders in non-educational views + twisting the true story in order to try and gain fame and fortune from another's unfortunate reality (looking at the questionable TV shows like Jeffery Dahmer and such...)
HOWEVER, everything in Star Patient is fictional, and is supposed to be written and viewed as grotesque, something that should not be replicated in real life, and is meant to unsettle you for a nice thrill or at least cope with fantasies in a very safe way that shouldn't mingle with real life.
With that being said, allow me to get on with the spoilers. Please note, chapter 8 is still being written so everything may not be the final draft. Please be aware, the following content below will possibly be split in different chapters, so this is spoilers for all future Star Patient chapters as of July 27, 2024.
These spoilers will be solely bits of dialogue. I will not directly give out who said what, and I also will not provide any clues as to what's happening as to not destroy any shock value or plot twists in future chapters. You can try and figure out the story yourselves; however, I don't want to directly ruin the emotional impact of the story, so my lips are sealed for any specific events! I do accept questions of the characters, future series ideas (non-spoilers), and any other fun questions.
THE CONTENT BELOW IS NOT FINAL, FUTURE SPOILERS FOR ANDREW GRAVES X READER: STAR PATIENT SERIES!
"Sometimes, it still feels like I'm trapped inside that room; except this time, I'm the one that put myself in it."
"What? You're not going to help me change?"
"She wasn't innocent! Everyone knows that she killed that boy and his mother!"
"Whatever excuse I try to put it, it's my fault in the end."
"I got you some chocolates and flowers! If you're allergic to coco or milk, I have this replica of hot chocolate powder that tastes like hot chocolate, but doesn't have any milk or coco! People are so smart nowadays! Oh, and don't worry, I checked with the missus first, so she won't be mad at me!"
"It's too risky to just leave her like that, especially because I'm unsure if I left any evidence or not..."
"Oh, how cute! My little angel is into the occult now! She's so pure!"
"It’s different if a woman kills someone! She does it to love and protect, men do it to destroy."
"Do you ever wonder why we do this? I mean... right now someone else could die, so the people we saved are suddenly unimportant... because we couldn't save them all..."
"He's a city boy, do you really expect him to be able to support you if he can't even support his own legs?!"
"Everyone in this hospital is either freaks or criminals."
"Was there really no other way?"
"At the end of the day, it's you. Do what makes you survive."
"Ah, perfume. A woman's beauty kills another."
"Do you think saving me is going to make me forget that you're the one who did this to me?"
"She gives great hugs..."
"I said I don't want to see you!"
"I had a nightmare, and I don't want to be alone."
"You need to eat, god damn it!"
"The water is freezing, but what it promises makes me feel warm..."
"You don't choose if the inheritor is good or bad, because they're the inheritor. They get it, whether they deserve it or not. Sometimes, they do bad things with that sort of power, and it can lead them down the wrong path."
"You don't expect your son to be a bad person until he is."
"How about we make a deal?"
"I don't think you understand the gravity of your situation right now, after all, I know what you did."
“She’s so kind, accepting strays like you.”
"What do you mean they're dead?"
"Can you forgive me for doing bad things, even if it was to protect myself?"
"What are you doing with a former patient? Having any sort of connection outside of the hospital is strictly frowned upon and can cause in termination!"
"Is this to pay for my sins?"
"Why can't you just leave!"
"Whoever invented AirTags probably made them to stalk his wife. Or husband. No judgement."
“Who is to say that you’re not next?”
"Perhaps, a happy ending was never written for me or you."
