Trolls Band Together Spoilers

(Clay and Bruce trying their best)

One thing I’ve been dying to talk about are the little ways Bruce and a lay take care of their other siblings and why.

It’s all in the little stuff! Like I am of the belief that Bruce and Clay are so close is because they could only really find solidarity in each other. Growing up no one liked how JD pushed them to be perfect, but Bruce and Clay were the only ones who felt pushed in a box, they were the only ones who got angry.

Floyd was always the peace maker and Branch was a baby so the only ones who understood their anger was each other.

Clay and Bruce always have each others backs, but I wanna talk about how they take care of baby Branch.

Like when Branch is listening to the broad cast with Velvet and Veeneer, Bruce notices Branch’s worry and turns off the radio. (Bruce also carried around Tiny bc he is a true dad.)

During the ‘It takes two’ song, Branch pulls out his blue prints and John Dory immediately pushes Branch out of the way to take control and you can see Clay and Bruce wince like they know it’s a bad idea before Clay pulls John away for the transition shot.

Not to mention Clay and Bruce seem so unironically excited to see Baby Branch that they side like JD, and I know that was probably because they’re still on weird terms with JD, but I don’t think their happiness to see BB was only for pettiness sake.

Maybe there’s some stuff I missed because I only saw the movie once and I looked down at some points to take notes so may haps I missed some back ground stuff but if there is please tell me!

OK the answer TO ME is that trolls are like. To make up with the Canon inconsistencies. Like so uhhhh just brainstorming here but it makes sense the pop trolls population is fucked bc of being annually eaten. So like lack of old people entirely outside the monarchs bc same models lol.

Age is subjective after the developmental years? So it's more quite literally a state of mind. Which can rationalize tiny in the 3rd movie being like IM A MAN and guy only being just a little skeptical and neither branch nor poppy worrying abt him when he was possibly gonna fall off that building lol.

So the monarchs age more bc it's like. Responsibilities and having to tackle Real Feelings and Consequences outside of the present moment. So branch who looks absolutely decrepit with his crows feet bc he was always looking forward on a long scale. Building a bunker he could last 10 yrs in alone. Waiting for his brothers in some unspecified future.

Vs like floyd who even tho he got marinated in a bottle and anime white hair he still has extreme baby face as an indeterminate maybe 30 smth yr old. Like yes months of captivity sucks its not years and you only gotta worry about the immediacy of escape.

Making a AU where Brozone was able to achieve the perfect family harmony the first time :33

They become a lot closer with each other after, and they all have a lot more trust towards JD and are more accepting of his controlling behavior with the band because thats what helped them to achieve the perfect family harmony. There’s a lot of unresolved tension between everyone because of this though(except maybe like branch at least in that moment).

During the Bergen escape they ‘lose’ Clay, and the remaining members disband Brozone. They don’t exactly really separate from each other, and it actually keeps them closer together. Branch would start a solo career soon after with JD helping as his manager. With JD never really growing out of being controlling and everyone else being more complicit with it well…

TLDR : Branch grows up as a overworked child star

Im still figuring things out so some things maayyyy change. Floyd and Bruce I honestly dont really know what to do with them exactly. Like I said Im figuring things out still.

Floyd isn’t really a social butterfly, he has all his brothers, who would he have needed then? although, sometimes he needed to take a break from them. he wanted to find someone that could make him smile, laugh or make him feel more at home than he was.

- he met you during his band days, maybe a few days before the concert where they disbanded

- he was backstage meeting some fans who had passes, you were one of the few! floyd thought he was gonna do the usual, signing papers, albums, people… o.o.. but when he laid his eyes on you, he saw something about you.

- maybe it was the way you always wore a grin, or how when you talked it was at least loud enough for everybody to hear in the back, or how you did your hair. he also noticed you in the crowds, always in the front.

- as the line got shorter and shorter, the last person was you. you gave him a wide smile, practically jumping in excitement as you handed him a brozone shirt to sign.

- “Sorry it took so long to get to you.” Floyd mumbled, giving you a shy smile. He didn’t make much eye contact with you, considering he felt something in his stomach. He also didn’t know why he felt this way.

- “its okay! i dont mind, im just glad you’re still able to sign. It’s late and getting cold too.” you smiled, your sweet personality shining. your words sweet as honey he thought. Floyd smiled to himself, he’s never met someone as sweet as you.

- Floyd handed the shirt back, “Take care.” he smiled.

after learning that he had done that, you immediately contacted him. (after you ran around your room excitedly) and with a simple ‘hello!’ thats how you connected with him.

day after day there were about a thousand texts sent between the both you. and no matter what, floyd would always respond, (which kinda annoyed JD) but nonetheless made him and the others extra curious to know who it was. (they kinda made fun of him for it)

after a few months and shows, he got to more about you! to your favorite song, color, type of glitter, and food. and so did you. texting went to calls, from calls it when to facetimes. (which were his favorite, considering he got to see your face)

it got to the point where every text he had received him you, he was looking forward to the next. checking his phone before shows, after shows, during meet n greets, etc! his heart swelled everytime he learned a detail about you. he wanted to see you again.

so he built up the courage.

A llil grey JD thingy

Grey JD genuinely thought that branch wont recognise him, hell maybe even won't remember him, last time they saw each other was when branch was a baby, and thats without counting how much different he looks now compared to his old loud colourful self

It wont be far fetched that he wont know him, wont remember him, maybe he doesnt even know that he has an eldest brother called john dory in the first place, i mran, why would floyd tell him anything about the guy that hurt them, it'd be better if he was left out of the picture completely

Dating John Dory/JD

- Dating John Dory has it's pros and cons

- He shows off AND I KNOW IT!

- I EVEN BET that john dory may act all tough but with you he melts into your hands like an puddle.

-He was forced to grow up pretty quick when he was younger it's shown

- He was the oldest of five and it didn't seem like any of them had parents to fall back during their childhood they only had their grandma

- When he saw you at the wedding when getting branch back to save floyd he was shocked how protective you were with branch

- Turns out you protected and technically 'Adopted' branch while his brothers walked out on him.

- He for some reason hated the fact you glared at him in disgust and annoyance after 20 years of leaving branch alone

- He hated how when you joined to protect poppy and branch you snarled at him with annoyance before entering rhonda

- He can't help but steal occasional glances at you when the others talk and plan

- JD would be in shock on how your confidence fills the room and how easily you could lead and explain situations and listen to branch is plans

- When saving Floyd and getting everybody together you felt pity for him and you two had an small moment together when you took an break on the road.

- The fact that you placed an hand on his shoulder and asked him if he wanted to talk about how he felt that his brothers ignored him

- he opened up about it and you couldn't help but be shocked but the moment you hugged him fully. He melted and felt calm

- he asked you how you were able to be confident and you just said "I'm not confident but I step up when it's needed... It's better to hear about everyone opinions and choices sometimes" You told him which made him feel shocked

- When all of the brothers reunited you literally watched how they all fought and how it unfolded the arguing and how branch stared in fear as you quickly rushed to his side and tried to soothe him but failed.

- John dory literally felt heartbroken when you gave him and his brothers the biggest stink eye.

- when reuniting he apologised to you and asked for an re-start to become friends

- The aftermath of saving floyd from velvet and veneer it was different...

- You offered to help john dory out with his leadership skills and when he was stressed you gave him an shoulder to lean on if needed.

- When its not about that he tries to strike conversations with you randomly and it's so awkward for him...

- for you its also awkward but you just shrug it off

- he tries to flirt with you... leans against the wall and pulls out his boy band rizz.

- it made you laugh not an evil witch laugh. It was an sweet one which caught his attention so fast and how you pointed out how he acted and how cute and funny it was made him blush

- He finds comfort in being in charge sometimes but it gives him pressure thats when you come in and take control of the situations

- When he smiles he always notices your goofy giggle and grin. "Oh! Thanks Man! that's so cool! :]" cue your giggles

- He smiles like that more often and enjoys how you react.

- You two end up becoming REAL CLOSE

- Hangout after his concerts and spend time with him and rhonda Rhonda favors you more

- He loves how you and rhonda are so close

- You two end up on going on a couple of dates without knowing they where considered dates

- he confessed first when you and him where cloud watching randomly both of you where flustered messes.

- Definitely starts to try find wherever you are after he's had a bad day or had been in his head too long

- Dancing together to brozones songs or to songs that you both enjoy.

- he calls you randomly when your mid-conversation with someone and complains to you about how much he misses you

- he loves when you praise him

- He fell first and YOU fell even harder then him

- You started to hangout after his shows

- likes to think he's the dominant one in the relationship... yeahhh no....

- One call of you saying his name or you just walk past he is following behind like an love sick puppy.

- You laugh alot because of it He thinks because you find him hot... It's acutally the face he makes when trying to flex he looks so focused its cute

Events have occured before the Trolls find themselves in a giant warehouse owned by the Mistress. Unfortunately, they have given the twins to their old manager. Taking them back, she resumes to mental abuse and hsing them as her guinea pigs. After hearing the truth from Branch, that Velvet and Veneer were not the ones to take the Trolls, instant regret enters them. Now they go search for their new friends… in hopes they can find them alive and well.

The Trolls made their way through the air vents of the facility…. it was huge.

Room upon room they looked, but their was no sign of them….Their was no sign of the twins.

“We got to find them fast. Who knows what Mistress is doing to them…or did.” Floyd said. The Trolls made the mistake of allowing that witch to take them away… They promised the twins theyd be there for them, they would never abandon them…and what did they do? Hand them over to someone who was abusive to them from the beginning.

Episode after episode, the wins grew worse and worse. The Trolls didn’t know how they could help Velvet and Veneer. The Trolls grow hopeless in finding a cure to this Troll poison. They grew fearful as more and more Trolls began disappearing. They blamed the twins for it… especially when Branch disappeared…So they allowed the Mistress, their old manager, to take them away because she said she knew how to help them. After finding Branch and a handful of Trolls, that’s when they all realized they made a mistake…Now here they were…desperately trying to find them.

“You think JD and Clay are having any luck?” Branch asked.

“Who knows. This place is huge! They could be anywhere….” Poppy began to say.

“Over here!” Viva cried out. The rest of them made their way to where Viva was looking….There they were, tied back to back on some sort of chair. The little Trolls scanned the room making sure it was clear. The opened the vent and made their way down to the two giant Rageouns.

“Velvet! Veneer! Oh thank heavens you’re alright! We’ve been looking everywhere for you!” Poppy chimed at them….no answer. Sounds were heard from the vent opposite them; more Trolls came out: John Dory and Clay.

“You found them! Come on! Let’s get them freed up and out of here.” John Dory said. He and Clay made their way to the door, listening for anything or anyone that might come in. Branch was the only one who stood silent, staring up at the twins….something didn’t look right.

“Vels, Ven! Come on guys! I’m so sorry I let that monster take you away…..again.” Floyd said as he desperately tried to undo the knots that binded them together….still no answer.

“…Floyd…” Branch said as he got a closer look at the twins.

“Poppy! Viva! Help me undo these knots!” Floyd said. Between the three of them, they desperately pulled and pulled.

“…Guys…” Branch began to say again.

“Branch help them out!” Clay called out.

“Guys!” Branch cried louder…all the Trolls stopped and looked at him. “…I think….We’re…..we’re too late…” Everyone turned to look.

Velvet and Veneer sat there….expressionless. Their eyes half opened, staring off at nothing….The color in their eyes having almost faded to nothing, dark circles looming underneath…Their skin looking paler than it was.

“Velvet…” Floyd said looking at the girl….nothing….He inched closer to Veneer. “Ven?” The boy didn’t turn to look at him at all…it’s as if he wasn’t event here. Floyd looked at Branch. “No…no we can’t be too late..”

“The poison…this can’t be because of the poison can it?” Poppy asked. What did she do to them? The Trolls looked around for clues, all there was in the room were some of the twins belongings on the desk nearby….The Trolls noticed vents near the floor, these vents were different than the ones they came in from…a wierd essence came from them.

“…She….she used more essence on them…She poisoned them even more.” Branch said with a horrified expression.

“Thats why she tied them up. To keep them from hurting themselves or each other as they went crazy...the episodes….Oh my gosh…that’s…that’s…” Viva covered her mouth as small tears went down her face.

“She practically tortured them…” Branch said. Now the twins sat their, practically zombies.

“No…No, I refuse to believe they’re gone. Velvet! Veneer! Come on we have to go!” Floyd cried out…..nothing…just silent breathing and far off expressions.

“…Velvet… You left your favorite cashmier sweater back at Gristles castle…Well, we kind of stained it..” Poppy said…Nothing…She looked at everyone else…they had to have them come back somehow.

“Come on kid…come on.” Branch heard John Dory say. Floyd pointed towards something on the desk.

“The locket! Get the locket!” He told the Trolls. Grapsing it, they flung themselves on Veneer’s lap…they opened the locket… Inside was a photo of the twins, and their parents.

“Remember this. You told me about this day…It was your guys 8th birthday. They took you guys camping. You said it was the best day ever.” Floyd said as he pointed at the picture. They tried putting it towards Veneer’s line of view, but he didn’t budge, he didn’t move. They moved over towards Velvet. “You told me that you made fun of Veneer that day cause he fell into the stream, little fishes getting into his pants. Remember? Come on you have to remember!” Floyd screamed out.

There was no reaction from either one of them…The poison continued to consume their mind…they were gone…there would be nothing left of them…Branch stayed at the desk as the rest of them tried to continue to get the twins back; anything they could bring up that would spark their interest. He looked at the twins belongs on the desk….He saw Veneer’s notebook. During their stay with them in both Bergentown and Vacay Island, Veneer carried a notebook with him. He always had his nose in it…Branch never bothered to ask him about it..

“Would you like to see what I did?” Veneer would ask.

“No.” Branch would tell him giving him the cold shoulder. Opening the book, Branch saw what the kid would do….he would draw…and he was pretty good. Pictures of his time with the Trolls, sketches of Bruce and the kids, Bridget and Gristle, his sister….Branch. He’s so cool, was written in Veneer’s hand writing next to a drawing of Branch. I have the coolest dad, another note next to a picture of Floyd playing a tiny guitat. Goals, Veneer wrote by a drawing he did of Poppy and Branch. A weird feeling began tearing at Branches heart…

“…I’m sorry….” Branch mumbled at first. He turned to face the twins…towards Veneer. “I’m so sorry….For everything….I didn’t listen either one of you…Especially you Veneer…” It was as if Branch was talking to stone as the twins continued to sit their motionless. “You both just wanted another shot at family…redemption in life…we could’ve given you that…but we didnt…..I’m sorry.”

They continued to stare at the twins, hoping for signs of life…something. Tears began forming in Floyds eyes.

“They’re gone….they’re really gone…I….I failed them.” He said.

“We all did Floyd….I have never failed anything as queen before…But this…I screwed up big time.” Poppy fell to her knees hugging herself. Viva went to embrace her sister. Everything seemed familair to Branch at this moment…this took him back…back when they were captured, about to be eaten by the Bergens that one night…before Bridget allowed them to escape. The hopelessness, the sadness, it all felt the same. Something in him began to wonder that maybe there could be one chance to bring them back…maybe, just maybe…. He began to sing…

The rest of the Trolls looked up at him. At first they were confused, but then they saw him looking directly at Velvet and Veneer as he sang…. One by one, they all began to sing their heart out, hoping that Velvet and Veneer were in there somewhere…listening…. they had to be….but as they continued to sing, there was no reaction from the twins. There was a moment of silence. Branch tilted his head down in defeat….until….he heard something…the voice was barely audible, but it was there…It was Veneers…it sounded like he sang a few verses of the song…The Trolls looked at each other, ears perked up. Branch sang again…..

….And again he heard Veneers voice….then Velvets…barely audible…but it was there. Branch hopped off the table and got closer to the twins…he sang louder and louder…right now he didn’t care if anyone outside would hear…he was determined to bring them back. The louder the Trolls sang, the more audible the twins became….they did it, they had found their voice.

In the blink of an eye the twins snapped. Color came back to their eyes, the dark circles gone. They blinked in confusion looking around the room. Veneer was the first to see the Trolls.

“….Guys what..…Branch!” He called out as he saw the small Troll amongst everyone else. The last Veneer remembered, Branch had been kidnapped.

“Hey, bud.” Branch said softly with a smile on his face, a small tear streaming down. Poppy walked over to hold his hand.

“What the…Why am I tied to chair with Veneer? To close for comfort! Get him off!” Velvet began to wiggle around causing a comotion…Yep, she was back. Together they undid the knots, freeing themselve. The Trolls were overfilled with excitement. Branch, Poppy, Viva, Floyd, Clay, and John Dory flung themselves on the twins, their force causing them to fall over. They held them as close as their tiny arms can in a warm embrace. Veneer happily held the little Trolls close…Velvet was a little less affectionate, but she smiled.

“We’re sorry! We’re so, so sorry! We should not have let you go!” Poppy exclaimed to both.

“Why did you?” Velvet asked.

“…We were afraid. You guys were getting worse…we let our fear win. We’re so sorry.” Viva exclaimed.

“Same. I walked out on family…and I let it happen again.” JD said.

“Me too…There’s just no excuse. We promised to take care of you.” Clay added.

“…I have no excuse…I promised your parents I’d take care of you…I failed them…twice….I let you get taken and abused by the same person…I’m sorry.” Floyd looked between both Velvet and Veneer. Veneer gave him a soft smile.

“I guess you can call it even then?” Veneer responded.

“No..No. Don’t ever think like that okay. We’re never letting you two again.” Floyd responded.

“Well that’s depressing.” Velvet replied earning an elbow from Veneer, but they all knew that was her way of being affectionate…of being thankful.

“And I’m sorry too…for being so cold and mean. I just couldn’t get over what you guys did to Floyd…but I shouldve been more open…I’m sorry…Especially to you Veneer.” Branch couldn’t help it, he squished Veneers cheeks together. “You’re art…is amazing by the way.” He said.

“Thanf youz…” Veneer said through squished cheeks.

“Okay, okay. Loving the bromance!! But we still have missing Trolls to find.” Poppy exclaimed.

“Right. You guys in?” Branch turned to Velvet and Veneer.

“Always. From here on out.” Veneer replied. Velvet shrugged and nodded in agreement.

Brozone (and friends (and enemies)) twitter drama au

Collaborative between me and @squirrelpatties. Truly our magnum opus

Jd: previously a frequent twitter e-clown infamous for name searching and starting beef with people who insulted him. His fanbase thought it was hilarious in a "grandpa escaped the hospital" way. Eventually was forced to relinquish control of @/brojohndoryofficial to his pr manager (clay) after he responded to 14 y/o @/j0ndryballzweat.

Floyd (part 1): his sex tape (with a fan he didnt know was a fan but thats hardly relevant) gets leaked. For the first three days everyone's timeline was full of "do NOT share it around, dont even look for it, if someone sends it to you IGNORE it, this is a disgusting breach of privacy" until Floyd addresses it by tweeting "decided to put on a different kind of show for you guys" and all hell breaks loose. Every tweets hidden replies are full of screencaps and reuploads for a month. People edit the video so just before anything explicit happens it's replaced by a video game cutscene or meme, which Floyd retweets a lot of. His brothers ask him to stop (both for publicity and bc it makes them uncomfortable) so he starts posting thirst traps on insta. Clay yells at him so Floyd tweets "clay just asked when I'm gonna get a girlfriend :/" which brings us to-

Clay: homophobia allegations. Admittedly the least serious and would have blown over quickly if it weren't for him panic tweeting "I'm not homophobic! My girlfriend is a bi lesbian!" People were NOT happy. It takes him three days of retweeting 'helpful educational threads and carrds' on lesbianism written by 14 y/os for people to get off his back. Viva understands.

Bruce: stays off social media bc its the mind killer so he lets clay take care of @/brobruceofficial. This goes well until clay gets drunk and thinks he's on his private account but is actually on Bruce's public. When he wakes up (hungover) in the morning hes got Bruce banging on his door asking why TMZ is reporting on him cheating on his wife. Bruce tells him to clear things up but clay JUST got the lesbians off his back and can't afford to be back in the hotseat...

Branch and poppy: branch was annoyed by all the branch/poppy rpf fanfic (poppy likes them bc she thinks they're cute and funny. When brozone go on tour she reads the smutty ones) so he suggested to poppy that they stage a fake breakup. Poppy is initially against the idea until branch brings up how much fun itd be to sneak around like a couple of teenagers. Poppy scrapbooks the tabloids about their breakup. Clay and Bruce blame clays drunken tweets on branch so clay seems like the victim. Poppy acknowledges this on twitter in a way that very heavily implies they broke up bc branch was cheating on her with her own sister. Viva does not understand. This one doesn't have a resolution yet bc we moved onto:

Barb: previous lesbian icon turned reactionary transphobe. Riff stopped associating with her once she started getting really public with it and now she keeps tweeting stuff like "you-know-who left me just to work with misogynists. Really makes you think 🤔 " which he ignores.

Riff: while still working with barb he was approached to collab with creek (damage control for the... unsavoury things he said about rock trolls). The second the song released he tweeted "wow that guy was an asshole LOL" bc he didn't realise he wasn't supposed to do that. Cut contact with barb once her transphobia went from "mild, I can fix her" to "jesus fucking christ". Briefly worked with Floyd until his second controversy at which point riff tweeted "cmon, man" and turned off his phone. Riff hasn't done anything wrong and he deserves a lot better

Velvet: crafted the perfect expose thread on Floyd when she was in prison, including "pro life" "publicly sharing inappropriate sexual content" and "uses the toothpaste flag". Posts it the second she gets let out of prison and instantly becomes #1 on trending (alongside "floyd" "pro life" and "#HUGS4CLAY).

Floyd (part 2): tweets "why does it even matter that I'm pro life if I'm gay and don't 'believe' in 'voting'" before doing another line off his boyfriends torso. People bring his leaked nudes back up and start insulting his dick size and its the first time hes ever let a controversy bother him. His next tweet is "I am not ashamed of my body" and the top reply (creek pfp) is "you should be ❤". Clay is biting the skin off his own tongue.
