i was talking w a friend a little bit ago about the exact differences between the generally speaking philosophies between older fans and younger fans. it seems that older fans embrace creating transformative works and having their own interpretations on who dnp are, whereas younger fans want to know dnp on a personal level and want dnp to know Them and recognize them not just as fans but as people. and OFC there are older phannies who want the parasocial interaction and younger phannies who write fic and people who do neither, and people who do both! there are both parasocial AND tranformative ways to break boundaries, and oftentimes they can be one and the same. they aren't our friends they arent our dads and they arent objects with no feelings. they don't stalk our accounts but they are still able to see whatever we post publicly. theyve seen so many horrible things and have had many horrible things happen to them, and while no one can be certain something like that won't happen again, now that they have been able to be more honest with us about a lot of things they are able to trust us a little bit more.

Let's start with the Book rating : 5/10 (and he is being generous).

He liked : - Daisy and Karen. *Autors note : Especially Karen , he adored her.

- Warren laidback attitude.

- The book cover and Its cover writing font.

- The book writing font.

- The abortion story cause he found It original and brave to write about.

- Daisy takes no shit from Billy "as she should". Thats It!!! *AN : "I just read this shit because I LOVE you and your Mom, kid XD"

What He didn't like *AN : Its long but worth reading"

- The interview format present all the time It was too much, and sometimes boring to read.

-Also he found It lacked of complex vocabulary, too simple.

- The songs are "shitty poetry I can't imagine how they would sound. Don't look like real songs."

- He dislikes romantic books, especially those aimed at Young Adults " Why dont teens read good shit like Orson Scot Card, J.R. - He found the book unrealistic and too obviously "written by a woman for other women as a rock and roll 70's fantasy" :

2-  Camila and Daisy's final conversation.  "It isn't realistic and IS obviously a book scene. She should've dumped Billy. No woman speaks that calmly to her husband's lover".

3 - "Billy and Daisy's affair IS just not real"... I asked why and he told me that:

All of his friends would see It like that...

i agree that mentors definitely dont just throw newbies into action (your headcannon with mentoring your first tribute with someone is great i think that is the closest to truth that we can get)

i feel like it should depend on the district? like some district may not have a choice (like haymitch wouldn't have if he get only katniss). so you get your first victor and they immediately join you as mentor for second tribute. in that case it is make sense to share them as boy-boy girl-girl.

also now when i think about it it may be even important to be mentor in your first year, like you would definitely get a lot attention, and everyone would want to know how you would do in your new job... Tho again in case of a careers district they probably more work for a result, like.. you know in some sports like football trainers can become popular as trainers not as players? And for them it may be a real career like you just do new victors for a living and collect them like funkopops. the whole career system made its hard for victors from poor district to ...happen (?), so those victors quickly get a lot attention and everyone want to know how good they at their new job. like for careers its more interesting how the old mentors can create a new victors, and for everyone else its more interesting how new stars can handle their new job.

also yes katniss couldn't possibly know everything but she mention that there is many commentators in the games, they invite guests to discuss the tactics of tributes, she knows some stylist (like she told that she saw Tigress a lot in early games and she told Cinna thats he new here) and mentors are something like celebritys in Capitol (and haymitch despite having 0 victors is something as an old friend for the viewers (not direct quote)), so i think process like mentoring may be actually be at least a little open and known? again katniss wasn't surprised about many things in games process so i kinda trust most things she say.

like for me her note about names in districts for launching rooms was a little bit weird cause the rooms looks like TOO behind the scenes places to have knowledge about. like I don't even see the point of filming them? like yeah you could know that ther are some starting rooms but katniss doesn't react to them. there is no "oh now i know how they look" or something.

But like seeing how Katniss doesn’t even know the names of like half the Victors during the Quell and some of them she only learns them during the games/build up the games, you can argue how well known the other Victors/mentors are to District people.

As far as I remember she doesn’t know the names/who Beetee, Wiress, Cecelia, Seeder, Woof or Blight are until the games. (Might be wrong, but as far as I remember this was a thing). All she knows about the D6 Victors is that they are Morphling addicts and never learns their names. She recognises Chaff but that’s because he’s good friend with Haymitch and they are often seen together. Like as far as I remember she doesn’t seem to know the other Victors that well.

The only Victors she seems to know anything about are people she was old enough to witness their Victory for. (Cashmere, Gloss, Finnick, Johanna and Annie).

So either that means they are not shown too much or Katniss does not care/pay attention to that specifically.

(Side note love that it isn’t until Haymitch points out to Katniss never got to meet any Victor after her games/on the tour she is like “Oh yeah that is weird 🤔” jkldjhjsajfh)

Thanks for liking my headcanon around first year mentoring, like it made sense to me. And yes because didn’t have a chance to touch upon it, don’t think you would have the same set up if you are the second Victor of your District, then you are just thrown into it with no “training”

Like make a semi point with it in TOFS seeing as Maureen’s first year was the second Quell so she had to do it alone, because there were only 3 Victors from D6 between 4 tributes so yeah.

Can also definitely see the difference between how people react to Career!Mentors vs Non-Career!Mentors. Like definitley think the Career mentors take it way more seriously, have proper Sponsors they always hit up, like a massive network of them. As you mentioned, have mentors who has worked for years and have many Victors under their belt.

Then the Non-Career!Mentors just have to pray their tribute survive the bloodbath and just hope someone want to root/sponsor for them 😭

lalo is trying to figure out gus's loyalty more precisely, since he suspects gus is disingenuous about his intentions with the salamancas, thats why kims tirade about trust hits him. also "la familia es todo" & hector being the only one hes wholly honest to

kim is loyal to a fault. even when jimmys actions are very obviously destructive for himself and those around him, she just gets further into it -- marrying him instead of breaking up, leaving s&c (also a mirror of her leaving hhm to share a law office with jimmy, but that situation was a bit more complex)

this is more minor but if blue = truth, tuco would be blue as well as a character who is primarily associated with truth -- nacho calling his eyes his "lie detectors", figuring out that walter and jesse were lying to him in brba, etc. hes mainly associated with red because hes a failson <3 and to the salamancas thats equivalent to betrayal

thus red is disloyalty or betrayal, most obviously seen with nacho. his last monologue is not The Definitive Truth (peruvians lol), but it is a statement of unadulterated loyalty -- he created a (false) story that would protect his father from both gus and the salamancas while admitting that he'd been betraying everybody. hence the bluebells. in death, he has committed the ultimate act of loyalty and love using his own deceit

the issue im having with this reading is chuck. on one hand, you can say hes representative of loyalty to the law, and i wouldnt disagree. it does however bring in an alternative reading where blue = family which is one i can find evidence for if you like, but im already rambling so ill stop here, haha

Lots of good points! (Although Tuco is actually terrible at lie detecting - he never figures Nacho out, and his "lie detector" has a lot of false positives like when he killed Dog the biker. Walt and Jesse don't really factor into his color because Breaking Bad has a different color system than BCS.)

I think blue might be virtue in general - so truth, loyalty, justice, etc. Blue coded characters are at least striving for virtue, even if they don't always meet those ideals. I'll talk about Chuck and Howard later because they are both blue-coded (Howard is thee most blue character - like, he even has a blue named after him), but blue can also be hypocritical at times. To touch on loyalty, I'm planning on talking about how Howard lies to Jimmy that he was the one who wanted him gone, not Chuck. But he told that lie out of loyalty to Chuck. And Chuck cares a lot about exposing Jimmy's lies, but he does so through deceit.

I'm also going to get to Nacho's blue flower - definitely he's loyal to his father. But he's also able to speak his truth at last - telling the Salamancas and Gus exactly what he thinks of them, and his assessment of them is the real truth.

I cant watch youtuber commentary videos because to me its what i assume straight women feel when having sex it genuinely enrages me. i cant watch people make commentary videos anymore because its not about getting insight on topics being talked about right now its about watching the same influencer giving their noncritical think pieces to random topics they didnt know about until mere hours before hoping in front of the camera and pressing record. everyday. totsukuni no shoujo worked really well for me from every point like the creature designs are very interesting the pacing gives u a reason to care about the charas bonds without getting bored with it it handles its themes well & i love that the strongest bond isnt a romantic type of love and its still undeniably one of the most important aspects that makes the story work. its got its twists & i never saw them coming yet none of it felt like it was only for shock value. definitely recommend.

Jikook domestic & small moments

The most I read about it, the most I belive Jikook’s real, or, at least, their conection is special & different af. That being said, I was watchin RUN! BTS yesterday and spot some domestic and hella cute Jikook moment that I wanted to share.

The theory is that Jikook been together since 2015-2016, which means that they are a couple for 5-6 years and because of that, their relationship is stable and domestic.

This ep is fun, adorable, amazing, and we can see Tae singing like a angel. The game starts at ep 152, and around 24 minutes, they have to change seats. JK keeps his, Jimin was seated on the last spot in leflt and he had to change. Jimin doesnt actually complains about changing, his words were “i think my seat is great.” and thats it. Then this happens:

Jin sangs “Wild Flower”, Jikook sings the chorus together - which is cute -, then J-Hope sings Gangam style and they start to dancing together and again, do the chorus, which was extremely fun to watch. JK, JM e RM dancing and JH singing is just hilarious, I loved that. Jikook literally are coping each other moves, spining in the same moment and etc, extremely cute.

JK sings next a song called “I love you” and we dont see much here, we can see JM looking at him, singing together but theres no focus on his face, even when he calls JK name. What can I say right...

Next song is Butter and Jimin sings, but he gets a low score and gets upset.

JK claps and laughs cause... Bickering. The cameras goes to Tae but gets back and...

Those small moments that makes me think theres something there. The way Jimin looks at JK when he sing about romantic stuff, how JK supports him when he got upset by a joke, its just to cute for me to handle.

Watching RUN BTS or ITS knowing what I’ve learn about their history, how they got closer, then got loud, and all the small things that keeps conecting them in a really strong way, makes me look different at small gestures like that. If the theory is right, and they are together romantically, this kind of stuff just make it obvious, cause its not that much of friendly behavior. Or I’m being delusional. But y’know... "you tell yourself you're a good person but you're not a good person" reflects more on kendall than it does shiv i think, bc almost immediately after this he says "im the real you", which can be read as him saying "im the Actually good version of you", but he also knows this not to be true… etc etc. but it also totally Does reflect on shiv, because shes so wrapped up in making other people Think shes a good person, and making other people think she thinks shes a good person, but the honesty we saw with nate earlier shows that deep down she does know and conceptualize her standing within the world

"oh, look, shiv, do you think that stealing is what good people do? stealing? cheating at monopoly?" this is objectively silly and thats the point, how roman makes jokes out of how he actually feels to cover it up, ugh i dont have to go through all of this just look at the tvtropes page for the sad clown trope and you'll get the idea. in any case, shiv actually said, "i was only stealing so i could win", in this case saying "i did what i had to to win dads affection" and roman fired back with what he perceived to be a weak point, shivs morality. also roman feels like something was taken from him here, might have something to do with how he brings up what shiv did with gerri -- see romans issues with sexuality and further analysis of specifically the revocation of agency(? idrk if thats the word im looking for) in his sexuality. Or something

"greg, dont be an asshole, you dont have principles" is a comedic sort of juxtaposition; "dont be an asshole" and "you dont have principles" are, like, opposites, since not being an asshole implies having some principles. what tom is demanding here is a double standard and loyalty to a class which, for a long time, greg has not belonged to. essentially hes trying to make sure greg, known slimy bitch, wont betray him, aka work for toms gain, which in itself calls back to that theme of rich entitlement, that people in the upper class have a simultaneous philosophy of "make your own fucking pile" and work solely for ur own best interest, but expect those around you to serve you. thats where logan excels, he understands that everyone else has the same philosophy he does and distrusts them as a result

"i cleaned up your mess … and im a bad person?" again, this calls back to this idea of pure loyalty to the upper class. since the lower class isnt "real", being horrible to them and/or covering up that behavior is okay, justified even. but to be part of the upper class, it is Good to do whatever nasty stuff you have to do to beat someone else. being good, then, isnt about morality, its about power, maybe. logan has cleaned up kendalls mess, and hes supposedly a good person for it. but thats backwards, covering up the truth of someones death to blackmail ur son isnt (morally) good behavior. and that is, at this point, the language that kendall is speaking. logan isnt speaking the same language

"lifes not knights on a horseback" is ofc about not saving people and making ur own pile etc. the iconography is particularly romantic (er, anti-romantic), which is interesting considering logans many weird fucked up relationships with various women. its also associated with medieval times, which. i dont know if that means anything, usually if succession is referencing history its about greek/roman history, but. yknow. "its a number on a piece of paper" references business ofc and with "its a fight for a knife in the mud" im gonna go out on a limb and say this is referencing boar on the floor? pigs are associated with mud, and boar in the floor was something about class struggle.
