You know I kept thinking that maybe the House would like Cassian purely because he loves Nesta but... the House has seen all that Cassian has done. He literally watched her fall down some stairs and did absolutely nothing, he didn’t even check on her after it happened lol. So I headcanon now, just because it’s slightly more fun, that Cassian learns well and truly how much the House doesn’t like his bare minimum effort. When Nesta is turned away or leaves the room, there’s only Cassian and the beast who’s taken residence where Bryaxis used to live and it’s no less monstrous. So what is it doing? Losing his stuff. Dropping glasses. His weapons fall maybe a little too near his feet. Inanimacy? The House is very much alive and it is livid. In fact, the House thinks Nesta could do much better.

Christmas as a cultural icon is starting to get really dystopian in a climate sense, december has historically been a time of year in which there would be snow in a significant portion of europe and north america, and the fact that its not even icy this time of year and all the christmas songs and decorations reference a time of year that will likely never exist in the same way again in my life time is so strange.

Now that the House has opinions, what do you think it would do for itself first? I like the idea that the house randomly decides to change the wall color like getting an impulse dye job

100% changing the color of the walls. The furniture. The amount of windows, it likes to open them all up on a sunny day and let the breeze in. I like to think it's trendy so as the years go by, the furniture changes to suit it's own taste and interests. The rooms and what is in them. It's very creative. Still think it's a plant person, so a lot of indoor plants and bouquets. I like to imagine it creates extra rooms as well, mostly because everyone needs a sunroom/massive terrarium/greenhouse, and it might as well make one too.

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)
