authors note: inspired to write this by this post. i hope i did it justice. i lost my headphones so i rawdogged the writing process of this. 🥲 enjoy

hyunju is an amazing girlfriend who loves every aspect of you. she especially loves how much you adore animals.

she loves the way your eyes light up when you see people walking their dogs, immediately asking politely if you can pet them.

she loves the way you keep cat food in the house ever since you came across a stray cat that was hungry but you didn’t have anything to feed it (you cried).

she loves the way you ramble about the “animal of the day”, spewing random facts about random animals she’d never even heard of.

(”did you know that female great spotted kiwis only lay one egg a year despite having two ovaries while most birds only have one?”

she loves the way you talk about all the pets you want, a new animal catching your interest each day.

she loves the look on your face when she surprises you with a date at the zoo, walking around with you as you point to almost every animal and tell her facts about them. she loves how adorable you look in all the pictures she takes of you posing outside the containers of various animals.

she loves how when it’s late at night and you’re cuddling together, there’s youtube videos on the tv playing from your playlist of animal facts.

(“y’know, hyunju…i know i talk about animals a lot and that i can’t possibly have a favorite, but i think i do have a favorite.”

hyunju, who was half asleep, opens an eye as she raises an eyebrow. this was news to her. you had finally settled on an animal to call your favorite? she never thought that would happen.

she opens both eyes, propping herself up onto her elbow, resting her cheek in her palm.

“really? and what animal might that be, sweet girl?” she asks softly, absentmindedly reaching out to tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear.

“well, i’ve recently been looking into maned wolves. they remind me of you, in the way they look.” you say, smiling softly as you lean into her touch, wrapping an arm around her.

she lets out a small chuckle at that. you’re so adorable.

“is that so?” she asks, wrapping her own arms around you and running her fingers through your hair.

you nod softly in response, a yawn leaving your lips.

“well, i’ll look forward to hearing all about maned wolves when we wake up tomorrow.” she says, pressing a kiss to your forehead.)

yeah. she loves your adoration for animals.

Here’s an short unsuccessful test I did today; attempting to create an animation in a program I quite literally have ZERO experience with using ahaha :’)

Storytime/long ramble (unimportant):

I wanted to be like the “cool kids” and shift out of my comfort zone—no more relying solely on FlipaClip! Gotta branch out to a more effective program (ideally one that has an interface resembling animation software used directly in industry work)! I’ve seen people make good use of AlightMotion and figured it’s worth a shot!….that goal quickly fell apart <<

There’s definitely a wide variety of tools and especially emphasis on built-in editing features. I was intimidated by the sheer amount of mechanics going on at first, but gradually you get used to navigating stuff (even if some stuff I’m still trying to figure out the purpose of lmao). The only issue is that (to me at least) AlightMotion seems to handle tweening better then frame-by-frame animation. Which immediately lands me in a predicament of sorts since uh…can’t say I’m good at tweening. That would require me to actually finish coloring characters/have the ability to polish things using clean linework :P

Tweening (from my perspective) is about making something visually appealing by rigging separated assets of characters (like you would for puppets) rather then the whole. Or alternatively, some people tween by slightly moving the same drawn lines around on a singular drawing…so TLDR the exact opposite of frame-by-frame. I’m not an illustrator, I’m a storyteller. I can only manage rough line work with uncolored motions. Usually the smooth flow of frame-by saves me, else it would all look rather unfinished. I know where my strengths and my weaknesses lie; I’ve given AlightMotion a shot, but unfortunately it’s not gonna be solving the FlipaClip replacement problem 🥲

Was still beneficial challenging myself to play around with an unfamiliar environment! It’s a step in the right direction to encourage myself to try different things/figure out what works or doesn’t. If my patience didn’t wear thin, I’m sure I could’ve attempted authentic tweening instead of trying to push the program to work with frame-by-frame (it kept crashing, lagging, and pixelating while I tried to force it to comply with my methods. Think it’s safe to assume it doesn’t like me fighting against tweening lol). Who knows! Might return to AlightMotion in the future or might not. Depends on how adventurous or up for a challenge I’m feeling :3

Also goes without saying that online video tutorials would have probably helped—I’m just stubborn & prefer taking hands on approach sometimes. Learning any new program is gonna be overwhelming and scary at first, it is normal! I don’t think anything bad about AlightMotion. Just not for me at the moment. Was fun to play with while it lasted

Some updates since the last summary post. I didn't go to the convention on Sunday, but @caitm1 did and she said the workers told her that Rebecca's wrist swelled up from the amount of signatures she was doing (already, one day in!) and she had it taped up.

Rebecca also mentioned last night (Monday) at the second event I attended that she'd had a vestibular migraine just before and couldn't walk in a straight line a few hours ago, so I mean, I felt like I wanted to mention that first because as a chronically ill girlie I know how fucking hard it must be and I don't think a lot of fans appreciate what she does for us and how much she puts her body through.

Her signings this weekend were free and even though we paid for a ticket on Monday night, if you bought the ticket with the pre-signed book, that was at cost. $20 for a signed paperback. So yeah, just...I know it's a business, but she does a lot, ok. Don't be unappreciative of the extra mile.

Now, I recorded both Saturday's panel and Monday night's, I'm trying to figure out how to post it, but no website wants to cooperate with such a big file, so stand by, or like...help if you know tech things 💀

If you haven't seen my post with what we learned from Saturday's, it's here. Below is a summary of what we've learnt since then.

Bombshell alert: @caitm1 tells me that on Sunday, Rebecca said one of her original ideas for the end of Iron Flame was for Violet to become venin and not Xaden. *crickets* let's just take a moment here together... 😨

Honestly, I'm all for it, I low key feel like I would have liked that better, it would have been so good, but alas, we have venin-Xaden now, so we have to deal 🥲

Now, about Monday. A lot of the questions asked and things spoken about were the same as Saturday. The host picked the fan questions she asked and didn't really pick much that was plot or character related. She didn't pick any of mine and yes, I'm still mad about it. WHAT ARE THEIR NAMES

Here's the quotes, questions and tidbits I found interesting:

• Her editor for Fourth Wing and Iron Flame, is the head of Red Tower, so she's the publisher. I did not know this. I don't think I've seen this in practice before? She's also involved with the Amazon series because of this.

• "I'm not afraid of hurting you." That we already knew. 💀

• "Because we knew what had the television series when I was in edits, so we had to write out a synopsis and when I first thought it would be five books, I immediately sent the synopsis to my editor, who, you know, we sent it to Amazon because we needed to tell them; this is the definitive vision for the story. I can tell you, in Onyx Storm, I've already deviated from like...who I thought would pass in that book, as opposed to...I've already deviated some from that."

Sorry, what? Who was meant to die? My money is, as always, on Rhi or Garrick. You know I have thoughts/feelings about that. Look, if I've learned anything this weekend it's that someone important is going to die, a lot of people are going to die, ok? She's very frank about death and the realities of war and if you're worried about your favourite side characters for the next few books, well...you should be.

• She loves writing Ridoc. @yanny-77 no chance to ask about bodoc, sorry! 😂

• On Xaden and people's perception of him: "It's always funny because I always hear...he gets compared to Rhysand a lot? Xaden's like twenty-two at the beginning of Fourth Wing; Rhysand's like what? Five hundred? Ok, twenty-two, so it's very much like—it is a college. It's a college romance and that first love."

• She was surprised at how much people loved Aaric, given how little he's on-page.

• She also defended Dain again 🥳💗 #DainApologistsClub

• She expanded a little more on Jack. So perhaps what she meant on Saturday about his reasons, was simply that his reason will be touched upon in OS, but it's clear. "Jack's motivations are clear-cut, which makes him so easy to write. He's such an example of the hunger for power and what happens when you aren't selected for the power you think you deserve, which is one of the themes of Fourth Wing. So Jack's an easy character, he's straight-on."

• Are there any easter eggs that you put in the first two books that you don't think were caught by fans? "Violet's second signet! I totally thought it was obvious. Um, I did, to the point where my editor was like 'hey, we should probably put a line in here' and I was like dude no, people will catch it." Y'all know my thoughts on that so I'll stay quite over here in my corner.

Someone asked "what is it then?" and she replied, "no, no, no, now we're having fun with this, now."

• The hardest scene for her to write in Fourth Wing was the battle scene, because it was her first fantasy and so her first one. She wrote it and her editor said no, it has to be a little longer than this.

"So that was really hard for me to write, especially because in the moment she loses Liam, she has to get up and go. And I'm used to being able to give my characters this moment to grieve, this moment to take the news, this moment to absorb it and really feel it. And it's hard to get the reader to really feel that emotion when death is coming straight for you. So that was really difficult. And I was crying."

• If she was to describe Onyx Storm in two Taylor Swift songs, it would be Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? & So It Goes.

• If Empyrean was written in interconnected stand alones, she would have already jumped to Rhi or Imogen.

• Her favourite sections are the epigraphs that she writes above the chapter headings. "It's my most valuable real estate, the fact that you guys skip over them sometimes, I'm like—I'm wicked funny in there, ok?"

• If Violet and Xaden visited Australia, what would they do for fun? "I'd say go visit places they can't catch on fire. I guess they could find a beach." @empyrean-thrones there you go, we're on point! 😂

It was a wild weekend, but so worth it. I was in my feelings a lot. I hope you guys get a chance to meet her or hear her speak in person one day, too 🫶

I’d say it took them around 8 months after wrapping season four to release the first volume.

If they want to reduce the wait for season 5 like they did season 4, and chose to break up the season in two, we could see volume one in august at the latest, then possibly volume two further into autumn.

Of course, if they split the season in two equal halves, we could see the first four episodes just as summer starts (pls don’t do that to me i have 12 exams to sit in june 🥲)

I can also see them choosing not to split up the season the same way they did before purely because season 5 is the last season, whilst s4 was somewhat of an intermediate season that was released over a longer period to maintain the hype for the show and keep people engaged.

Since ST is quite literally the most popular US show on netflix, i seriously doubt they are worried about keeping the hype alive as s5 is the last season, I can see them spending more time editing the whole thing and dropping it all at once.

It all depends on the amount of CGI compared to s4, the budget, the size of the post-production crew, and how much content they have to work with.

So here i’m thinking:

S5 is split into two equal halves: Vol 1 (e1-4) are released early summer, Vol 2 (e5-8) are released sometime in september or later.

S5 is split similarly to S4: Vol 1 (e1-5/6?) released in august and Vol 2 (6/7?-8) are released in september/october

S5 is not split and the entire season drops sometime in autumn 2025 (i can see them aiming for a late october/early november release to allign with the time of year the season itself is set in/link back to wills disappearance on nov 6th)

(very rare) S5 is released Weekly? Starting in october, ending in november - IMO this would have been great if the other seasons were released weekly, but since ST has always been formatted for a binger audience, so it might feel foreign to the audience and ruin the flow of the ending - i cannot see them doing this unless each episode borders on 2 1/2 hours long (i don’t even want to know how long this season is going to be but considering they’ve been shooting for a year straight it’s going to be so much longer than s4 despite having fewer episodes)

I know it doesn’t seem soon, but this will fly by! Plus this is purely based off s4, no one is more eager for this season to come out than the Duffer brothers themselves. I don’t know a lot about post-production, but i imagine they can hire twice as many people to hopefully get it out as soon as possible without taking away from the quality of the season.

Im grateful we still have time to be excited about new content and theorise about it because this is the last time we get to do it! Who knows when a show as good as ST will come along again, IF one will come along again?

The wait, however long, will be worth it!

Think about it like we’re closer to watching the final season than we are to when they started filming.

Ok y’all I just need to defend Caitlyn for a sec

Disclaimer: this is all how I interpreted the scenes so if you disagree that’s completely fine I’m really just yapping about a show I love. Also I really don’t feel like editing this so you’ll have to bare with me (sorry) 🙏

First of all she blames herself for her mom’s death. She could have shot Jinx but she didn’t because of how it would hurt Vi. She believes whole heartedly that her mom died because she didn’t shoot Jinx when she had the chance. So now she told herself no matter what if she has the opportunity to shoot Jinx she will no matter what.

She finally had the opportunity to get rid of Jinx for good. She believes that this is the only way for her to get closer. Last time she let Jinx get away she lost one of the most important people in her life and she thinks if she lets Jinx live again something terrible will happen again. 

At the end of the fight with Jinx it’s clear Vi didn’t want to kill Jinx. Vi could have ended things there but she hesitated. Furthermore Vi could have simply piked the kid up off Jinx and given Caitlyn a clear shot but she didn’t. Subconsciously she wanted an excuse not to kill Jinx

Caitlyn also takes so much pride in her skill with guns and for good reason. She really never misses. There was probably like a 0.001% chance she’d miss. Still probably shouldn’t take that chance and normally I don’t think she would have but she was desperate and not thinking straight.

Okay it’s time to address the elephant in the room. No Caitlyn 100% shouldn’t have hit Vi. That was uncalled for and not okay. But emotions were high and I honestly believe she just wanted thinking and didn’t stop herself giving into rage and grief. And even though she’s mad, she knows she’s crossed the line. You can see it in her face. Her expression changes from man to a more remorseful expression. Trust she knows what she did was wrong and she does feel bad.

But don’t forget Ambessa was manipulating her the whole time. She chose to make the attack be at the memorial for Caitlin’s mom. She could have chosen any time but she chose then. Ambessa is a master manipulator, she knew what she was doing. She wanted to make Caitlyn mad and not think things through. Caitlyn was the perfect target for Ambessa she has a large amount influenced and was in a vulnerable place. Ambessa is a master at manipulating, of course she would target Cait.

Anyway I think my girl s going to get her redemption before the end of the season (hopefully soon) It better be good because I love her 😭 But knowing the writers it will be.

I really just wanted to explain how I interpreted Caitlyn’s actions. Thanks for reading my yap section. Hopefully I articulated my thoughts well enough.

THANK YOU 🥲❤️❤️❤️ I'm so thankful that people have been so openly kind and appreciative of my work. I've actually been writing since I was very young!!! I have handwritten pages from when I was about eight years old that were essentially Magic Treehouse fanfiction or little original stories. I've definitely gone through cycles of my life where I'm writing hardly at all, and other cycles where I'm writing constantly! I think the thing I most consistently write is poetry -- which I think probably shows in my other work as well lol 💀 but I tend to be that really annoying kind of writer that doesn't do drafts. I make a bulleted or free-form rambling paragraph-style outline, and then I write, and as I'm writing I'll edit and go over things with a fine-tooth comb to catch any mistakes. Somewhere in the middle of all that my beloved partner and proofreader will also look over it and offer up their opinions. I really struggle to write a little bit at a time -- I frequently write chapters all in one sitting. I can feel pretty hunted by a project until I know that it's Finished, and so I'll often skip sleep or food or water or other irrelevant necessities once I have started a chapter until it's done. Which I don't recommend LOL. Sometimes I have to put off Starting art or writing projects until I know I have the time and space to be absolutely obsessed with them 😭 all in all probably not the most disciplined or commendable process, but it's mine!

Heyy! just found your acc and I am absolutely loving it here. idk if you'll read or reply to this but im writing this just because im kinda disheartened seeing some of these jikooker's behaviour. like i get it, we should always be open to the possibility of jikook being in a relationship with someone else but to see them dropping jikook in a matter of seconds after one shady grainy video drops is just... some are still adamant that jungkook does infact have a girlfriend. I've been seeing so many "jikook broke up", "jikook just bros", "jikook poly", "jikook were just fck buddies" it feels like these jikookers are just heavily insecure and somewhat believe certain taekookers' theories as they've been going off about how jikook haven't been close in 2023 and they are no longer 'glued together' just because we don't see it.

I do not know if it was you, or another blogger that made a character analysis of Gojo that made me like the character and discover more about him through the manga.

While I never read the manga before or watched the anime, I had been exposed to it by my friends and some BNHA bloggers. Back then, I found Gojo to be overhyped (discount Kakashi) while liking the animation(?) style, bit still no interest.

BNHA and its Endeavour Redemption arc in the doing was tiring me to the point that I stopped reading it and manga altogether. For mayne six months or so, until now, at least. I randomly found your blog last week , and it got me a new hyper fixation 😃. You got me to start reading JJK (Megan cos playing also helps).

I bought Number 0 and Number 1 of the mangas. Only to remember midway in Number 0 that Walmart Kakashi will be snapped in two like a Kit Kat🥲. I saw that leak in one of the BNHA blogs, and I didn't mind it back then since I wasn't in the fandom, but Lord, now it sucks.

Anyways, all this long rant to say that I like reading your posts.

Gojo, rest in pain, I guess?

Probably was someone else, I don't write much analysis posts about Gojo. I think once or twice I did, I can't recall. Probably reblogged one though you saw!

I don't know, they're really just two different characters to me. Also... I was never really an active reader or watcher of Naruto like that (just very familiar) so when I first saw Gojo, Kakashi didn't register to me at all.

Like, I did not get similar vibes at all. And it actually annoys me that people will be like "He copied Kakashi's flow"! Kakashi ain't the only white haired, face covering character out there with magical eyes, y'all stop. 😆

Even funnier when, by this point, Gojo has probably been unmasked more than he has been wearing something on his face and switches up what he puts on his face. Kakashi been wearing the same mask for...? Also, didn't it take years for Kakashi's whole face to be shown or something? Took like seven episodes for Gojo to show that face.

I always been a fan of Megan's music and then when I found out she was into anime I was like "YYYYYEEEEEAAAAH". She cosplayed as Miruko one Halloween and it made my year. I am a former believer that Miruko would vibe to her music.

Just seeing other Black women being unapologetic fans of anime (or anything) does wonders for me and I hate it when people act as if it's such a foreign idea to understand. Honey, we can have interests, too, like everyone else. It's normal.

I always try to be careful about spoilers for anything I'm into. Like, I can talk about a chapter that happened two years ago, but I'll still mark as a spoiler because I know some people don't read Mangas or even if they do haven't caught up to that specific part.

That actually what set me off when Usher cosplayed as Gojo because he literally put "rest in peace, Gojo" or something along those lines and the amount of people who weren't even aware of 236... like bro, come on.

I knew it just had to be a marketing tactic because I know damn well Usher ain't seen JJK a day in his life and how convenient it is he comes out with that cosplay around the time when "Daddy's Home" becomes a fairly popular song used in Gojo's edits. I can't go watching one video on YouTube without hearing that song play when Gojo pops up. And even if he has... WHY WOULD YOU TAG IT LIKE THAT?!

Oh, but Megan definitely doesn't know any of the characters she be cosplaying, alright... okay... 🙄

Hi! I just speed read through your Rain 'verse and I'm in love. I seriously loved your writing, and I feel like good writing comes from interesting life experiences, so I was wondering (and please only answer if you feel comfortable) if you're A) a student or B) post-education? I wanted to get a sense for what you need to be able to write like you (besides talent and practicing writing obvs), I'm in high school btw

I did graduate with a major I'm sort of interested in, and my degree has been gathering dust since 😂😂😂. Whenever people ask how old I am I always instinctively answer 16 in my head before correcting myself, and I don't think that will stop anytime soon. I guess some of us just never grow up, unfortunately.

Personally, I think the thing you need the most when writing fanfiction is passion. Not just passion towards the fandom, but passion for that exact fic you are thinking of. Though I do note down random ideas in a document to visit later, most of my one shots are drafted and edited within two days. I run the fic through my head like a movie as I'm writing, editing and after it's posted so I can make adjustments anytime to make the exact fic I like, which happens to be canon-compliant comedic fics with a sprinkle of angst in them.

Before I started writing I also read a lot of other fanfics (I still do just not to the level of obsession back in the day :))) and I remember the ones I liked the most, so the way I format my fic (line breaks, dialogue quotations, comma, period, question marks, italics and bold placements,...) resembles them, so I agree that practicing and getting a feel for what you are comfortable with is key. We all have that wattpad phase when all mary sues are beloved 🥲 (ugh the cringe now that I remembers it) and this bleach wipe-worthy phase is important too, since it lets me know what not to put in my fic if I want some semblance of quality 😭😭😭.

I'm not knowledgeable about official writing (for books or articles), so I guess talent is valuable there, but personally I don't think there's a place for talent in fanfiction. At its core, fanfiction is something you are passionate about and want to share that passion with other people who thinks like you. If you don't find joy and satisfaction in your fic's quality while reading what you wrote then I don't think any amount of talent can salvage it for your readers.

If you are in high school and can see yourself writing fanfics in at least three years then embrace your wattpad phase if you haven't already. Let your highs take charge and write out the most convenient and self-serving fantasy for your fandom, and read it again once you cooled down in three months or so (mileage may vary) to fully bask in the horrors of what you created—you will learn a truck load of things to do and not to do next time 🥰🥰🥰. If you can then publish it—it'd be easier if there are people who liked your content even if you don't think it's the best you could've done, and not everyone is looking for a perfect fic. Sometimes, all we need are convenient, self-serving fantasies just to have a good time and take a break from reality.

If you are already writing fics, then I guess my advice would be to consume lots and lots of fan content (fan comics or fics or others). I liked mashle enough to speedrun the manga in two weeks, sure, but the reason I was able to finish my rayne fic in a month and a half from start to finish was because I got so inspired by other mashle fanfics that I couldn't stop thinking about writing my ideas out too ☺️

As for life experience, I'm just a boring person lmao like I could write a weekly schedule of things I encountered and it'd be good for at least four months 😂😂😂 Hope this helps in some way lol I know people are inspired by different things ^^

I was looking at some of the previous interviews from the HoTD press tour and I noticed there was an insane amount of gaslighting going on there. The way there was so many empty promises and the 'All must choose' tagline was so off putting now.

The actors most likely got some overview of what they can talk about so I was wondering whether Ewan's phrases like 'Aemond going to play you like a guitar and cut your strings' , 'Fuego terminado' , 'game over baby' and ' in a show of morally grey characters' were made by him or did he get these from his media training?

Ngl I find him adorable but when he said 'sexy' to describe season 2 I physically cringed🥲. Was that about his nude scene or the overall show in general?

They should really make more realistic promos for season 3 tbh

I would be careful when using therapy speak to talk about the marketing of House of the Dragon - "gaslighting" is quite a serious term to throw around lightly, and I really don't think it's that deep.

I had banished those turns of phrase from my mind, because I found them so incredibly cringey, but you having reminded me of them has brought them roaring back to the front of my mind, and I feel secondhand embarrassment all over again lmao I think those were all Ewan's doing, as none of the other cast members talk about their characters like that.

I don't think Ewan was exaggerating - if you look at what Aemond did on paper (almost killing Aegon, killing Rhaenys, becoming regent, sending Aegon's kingsguard to the Wall, razing Sharp Point to the ground), it is all pretty insane. And at the time of those interviews, Ewan would not yet have seen how those were edited, and would have been unaware of how much screentime those events had been given.

They feel less impactful to his fans, as they're all chomping at the bit to see more of him, but in the grand scheme of things, Aemond has caused absolute fucking chaos.

How did you get into writing fanfiction?

Same as many, I guess? If you count when I did it consciously, because before that I definitely wrote some stuff that was fanfic even without knowing what fanfic was. It did actually put me in trouble at school because "there's no way you could write it by yourself you copied from a book" "ma'am we did that thing in class. Without anything else than a pen and paper. In one hour tops."

Anyway consciously as I said it's when the season of the TV show I watched ended up on an awful cliffhanger and I needed to deal with that. In fact I retroactively posted that fic on AO3, however I hated the following season so much I actually never read that fic again. I should, lol.

This fic is a Mrs Hudson POV fic of her visiting and talking to Sherlock's grave. Post S2. BBC Sherlock. Yes 🥲

I just love to expand things after the end (you can see this at the amount of Post Promised Day FMA fics I post. This is my thing, mostly. Playing with EVERYTHING I'm given, and filling the gaps/pushing it further. With the occasional twist of course.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy editing ? Why is that?

It's hard for me to say because I edit as I write. Yeah yeah I know boo whatever but this is what I do and this has worked pretty well when I had to churn out 2-3K of science papers synthesis and analysis a day at work, in both French and English, and it works for my personal writing, which is a hobby I'm already putting way too much pressure on 😅. I usually write once, edit as I go, re read once to tweak some stuff, and the thing is good to post to my standards.

Since I usually enjoy reading what I write, and tweaking, I'd give it a solid 8.

I think that at this point of my life your beautiful and flawless fic ‘means to an end’ has physical intertwined with me. It is a part of my mind, soul, and body. 😩 Everything about it is chefs kiss.

- Did the guys on their volleyball team know about their obsession with the reader?

You’ve inspired me to start taking a more darker route in my writing. I began writing maybe a month ago and it’s a romance novel. (So far I’ve got two chapters 🫠).

But these past couple days I’ve been REALL REALLY wanting to write more darker content (like the kind you write, you’ve inspired me a great deal with your writing technique).

But the problem is I don’t know how to write yandere/horror/gore. So I was wondering if it wasn’t to much of a bother, if you could give me some tips or advice. (Im very new to writing and I have my struggles but I want to branch out to more darker themes, like you and fairy.) Still learning the ropes but I hope with your guidance, I’ll get there 🫡. )

i would say that most people who spent a decent amount of time around the twins, i.e. their teammates and classmates, would have at least an inkling about their interest in bullying her. the miyas are many things, subtle isn't one of them. having said that, i think out of everyone, suna was probably the only one who saw it for what it was

again, anyone who spent a significant amount of time around the twins was bound to eventually put two and two together. which isn't to say that they were all blind going in – some undoubtedly thought they could snag his attention once they were officially dating, only to find themselves bitterly disappointed

they 100% both kept tabs on the reader, it was more a case of biding their time and waiting for the right moment

yes. not serious, long term relationships (aside from ame) as neither one of them would be capable of faking it for more than a few months but relationships all the same

advice wise, i dug up this old post which hopefully will be at least a little helpful??

beyond that, all i can really say is that for me, good yandere/horror fics balance emotion with tension, and the build up of both. the characterisation is also really important – what makes you love to loathe them, or alternatively, not see them coming until it's entirely too late. nothing bores me more in a yan fic than when the writer hasn't bothered to give their yan a personality beyond a cookie cutter obsession.

do you think therell ever be an idol group over the age of 26 debuting any time soon? it seems like in kpop 15 is the new 20 and aside from the groups i am already familiar with theres no one too new whos in my age range. personally i would love an all singing group to debut like btob but fresher or varied in their skills but with limited dancing as im not often fussed about kpop dances. its more so that there isnt much else to music that i like and i think if kpop keeps following trends only then its missing out on all it could offer if it just stepped outside its comfort zone and did something.

even them sending blitzers over to my country didnt surprise me bc i was already familiar with the general set up of these groups and how they display their performances so they have to be similar to groups like skz and ateez for instance and do really unusual or have varied talents yet at the same time they should also be more relaxed about it bc kpop seems to be rushing x amount of groups out in short time periods to fit with the latest trends, for someone my age it eventually gets boring bc like i say they could still do so much with the groups they already have or had. yet they dont soo its like its got great premises but has such a boxed in way of going about their groups.

i asked weeks ago about something related to older idols debuting in the industry (which answer was negative) and considering their birth rate i doubt that will happen in the future unless it increases way higher than now. i see that koreans are in need of people to work various stuff and it's the same for the entertaiment companies, so unless the birth rate increase x times (as much as it's needed), then i doubt it because the companies have no choice but to catch potential trainees when they're kids, like literally.

the new generations 100% lack even vocal talent. if it was vocal stability for the 4th generation (mainly), then the 5th literally lacks the basic vocal ability (on live, everything can be edited after all), it really feels like the talented groups are so little that i can count them with my hands. again, i am typing overall for the generations i've mentioned. the choreos and synchronisation isn't even worth mentioning where the live vocals aren't even there ffs, so that's why we don't see as similar groups as mamamoo and btob. i'm seeing kiof being mentioned as the talented 5th gen group or something like that but i really believe that even if belle's really talented vocal-wise, they just don't come close and it's not the same in my honest opinion, at least compared to mamamoo and i hope they'll prove me wrong in the future.

about anything else, unless we criticise everything in the whole industry, then there won't be change about it. i'll give example with hybe. they don't try to change their tactics but instead trying to prove themselves they're right when in reality they aren't! and this isn't only in the k-pop industry but with everything. i am personally pissed that we don't talk about anything's individuality when we want to see more from it🥲

Walking to the building of your supposed "enemy" was a bit strange. Sure, JYPE didn't set up the rivalry as much as Hybe did (according to Sunoo at least) but there's always the idea that these people aren't your friends. Though as much as the men and women in suits want as little interactions between idols of different companies, they can only do so much without breaking some law.

Jeongyeon told you about it once. How those people in suits were so insist on making sure Jeongyeon didn't interact with Jimin to avoid a dating rumor. She, and Jimin, of course doubled down on it, purposely making it seem like they hate each other for the shits and giggles while still talking to each other often. That was until BigHit became Hybe. You were a trainee at the time but you still saw Jeongyeon often. Often enough to see the way she stopped talk to Jimin less and less.

JYPE might not put as much effort into this "rivalry" but Hybe does. Even though you're inclined to believe Sunoo's being a bit dramatic, he tells of stories of Hybe researching what other companies do to perfect their idols.

Approaching the cafe, you can see Kai waiting outside, a smile growing on his face as he saw you. The two of you wordless as you head inside and order your drinks.

"I'm glad you accepted my invite," Kai sighed. "I know that sometimes talking about things in person are better than over text."

"But Yuna told me it did?"

"Yuna didn't know it was fake until last year. I remember her bursting into my practice room with her contract in hand surprised."

"You two are close?"

"Very," you smiled. "We joined the company at the same time. I was with her when they told her she were going to debut. Literally screamed as soon as they walked out."

"Yuna is that type of person," Kai smiled. "Do you have any other non-NMIXX idols friends?"

"Sunoo and..." you trailed off. "Your sister, Hikaru, and most JYPE artists."

"How did you meet my sister? She never told me how."

"Through Hikaru," you paused. "I used to train at Avex with Hikaru but I when I left I didn't really get the chance to see her until she debuted in Kepler. Hikaru was very excited for me to meet the Kepler girls but the only day I was free was when seven of the nine girls were busy, Hikaru and Bahiyyih being the only ones who weren't."

"That's not what Bahiyyih told me," Kai laughed.

"What did she tell you?" you asked.

"It doesn't matter," Kai smiled. "Bahiyyih's always stretched the truth out since she was little."

"I'm pretty sure that's just because you're siblings."

"No because she only does it me! Never to Lea, only me."

A silence feel upon you two as the barista handed you two the drinks you ordered. Kai smile seemed to fade away as he looked at you a little more serious.

"If you want to say something, then say it," you'd have to be dumb to notice the way the words were on the tip of his tongue.

"How have you been doing?" he asked.

"Truthfully, not very well," you looked down at the drink. "It's hard you know? Having the entire world say that you suck and that your music sucks and never being able to get away with it. The amount of 'jokes' that make fun of you for simply breathing wrong. I know that was included on the description of being an idol but I never thought that it could get like this."

"You wanna know something Soobin loves that I hate?" Kai smiled a bit as you nodded. "The phrase 'I know what you're going through'."

"Explain a little?" you asked before taking a sip of your drink.

"For Soobin, that's his go to phrase, he always uses it no matter what. To me though, I don't get it. For all the times that Soobin's been in distress, I never knew what it was like to be him."

"I'm a little dumb, what are you getting at here?"

"I'm saying that I don't know what you're going through. I am not you and I'm not going to pretend to be you. I have no idea what the hate does to you or any of the other NMIXX girls, but I do know, that you guys are ome of the most talented groups i have ever seen," he smiled. "I know my word might not mean a lot, but trust me when I say ever idol under the company thinks the same."

"I don't know what else to say but thank you."

"You're welcome."
