They will mainly be in order of who i like the most but some are even and if i was asked to pick one between them i physically wouldnt be able to.

-KNUCKLES THE MF ECHIDNA!!!!!!!!!!

HES SO COOOOL I CANT. Theres a knuckles shaped part in my heart. (kinda wanna be him in a way it's kinda embarrassing) I LOVE all of his versions in sonic prime, renegade knucks has a special place in my heart though he's top tier. Sonic boom knuckles is so funny and stupid like him going ''Oh wait i cant read.'' is so funny to me as a dyslexic person myself. Movie knuckles needs to be protected at all costs istg he's so sweet. GIVE KNUCKLES ALL THE GRAPES HE WANTS! 🍇🍇🍇🍇

-Sonic the hedgehog

Sonic's on the same level as knuckles he genuinely so cool and i do base some of my personality off him... i love his character development in sonic prime but his attitude in sonic x is so funny its amazing. He's defo got a bit of attitude to him in the older stuff which makes me love him more. His jokes and ''Wtf is danger.'' attitude is so real. Also movie sonic voiced by Ben Schwartz HELL YEAH, i love Ben hes so funny i cant wait for sonic 3.

-Shadow the hedgehog

''Another sonic character? is all your favourite characters sonic characters?'' no, just wait i get to other characters <3 but MY MY MY MY MYYY OH MY I LOVE SHADOW. I remember my first sonic game, if you can even call it that, being Mario and Sonic 2012 Olympic games and always playing as either shadow, sonic, silver or amy. I loved paying as him. Also his game is SO FUN and his backstory is so fun to learn and 100% take some of his personality and put it onto mine like i do with sonic. He's just such a good character and im glad this is the year of shadow bcz we NEED more shadow content. i would ramble about him more but i cant think of anything else to say.

-Leonardo (ROTMNT)

Another character voiced by Ben schwartz! I just recently watched this movie and i LOVED it. I used to like TMNT when i was little but never fully got into it but my favourites were always Leo and Mikey. Im literally him /hj. He's such a cool character (i say that with all of them i just love them all so much). Also if any TMNT fans have any movie/TV show recommendations for TMNT i am willing to take them!

I remember watching Into the Spider Verse and i loved it so much, i felt bad for miles in a way because he had to go through seeing spider man die in front of his eyes then realising hes the new spider man and blah blah blah. Im watching Penny's (from snapcube) VODs from when she played Spiderman 2 and miles' suits are so cool i love how they added the spider-verse movie suits into the game theyre defo some of my favs. Across the spider verse was such a good movie but into the spider verse was defo better (hot take? idk). Im so excited to see what happens in the next movie.

-Silver the hedgehog

Another sonic character yes, but i love sonic so much its my main special interest/hyperfixation. Silver is so silly i need to see more content of him tho. It's also kinda funny how his first appearance was sonic 06 ,which as we all know, is an awful game. In need to see more of him we need another game with him in as a playable character. Smt like SA2 idk.

-Batman

All forms of batman, lego batman is top tier and the rest under him. I watched the lego batman movie in the cinema when it came out and little me loved it and i recently, abt 3 years ago, got fully into batman stuff. The movies are so good and batman is such a cool character to, i need to meet more people who like him.

Thats it for now, i would add garfield but i dont really have anything to say abt him other than hes the most realest character ever. Hate mondays, love lasagne.

Anyways, i love these characters so much most of them being my comfort characters **cough cough** the sonic ones **cough cough**.

part 2.

you woke up the next morning to meg poking you until you opened your eyes, “y/n wake up for fucksake” she groaned, crossing her arms like a child when she saw you eventually squint up at her, confused on what the fuck was going on. “what do you want” you replied grumpily, rubbing your eyes and yawning, hair a frazzled mess from your heavy sleeping. “can you stop using my drunk elephant drops, they’re expensive and they’re mine” she demanded, looking down at you as though you were scum of the earth. “your drunk fucking what?” you responded, convinced she was speaking another language, “i haven’t touched your shit meg”, rolling over and burying your head in your cushions, hiding from the bright sunlight that was bursting through your windows.

meg stormed into the bathroom in a huff and came back, holding a pink plastic fragrance that was half empty, you knew what it was since meg sprayed it all over herself multiple times a day, stinking the room out. “can you also stop using my fucking sol de janeiro spray, get your own!”, you rolled your eyes and put your headphones in, attempting to block out the nonsense that was spilling out her mouth. it was times like these where you felt baffled on how matt tolerated her let alone loved her, you’d seen the way meg talked to him at times and felt appalled by the lack of self awareness she had, you couldn’t wait until second year so that you could move in with your best friend instead, but for your first year you knew that financially living with meg was your best bet, unfortunately.

(later that evening)

it was 11 at night and you were in your small pjs with leftover pepperoni pizza in a box on your bed and your hair in a messy ponytail, your laptop sat at the end of your quilt with the american office playing whilst you sat crossed leg, painting your nails.

you heard a quick knock at the door, confused since the only person who ever hung out in your dorm was matt yet meg was currently on a night out with her girlfriends. you crept out of bed, blowing on your black nails so they wouldn’t smudge and opened the door. there he was, stood with a cheesy grin on his face and a bag of reese’s in his hand, you gave him a soft smile. “meg isn’t home tonight matt, sorry if she miscommunicated with you”, he nodded, handing you over the reese’s “yeah i know, she wants me to pick her up later and said i’d be closer to the place if i hung out at your guys’ flat beforehand, that okay with you?” he asked “i bought sweeties, your favourite”, he beamed his teeth at you, it was impossible to say no to a face like his, you opened the door wider and raised your arm to gesture him to come inside.

hours went by, hours of giggling and long conversations. you found yourselves sat on the floor, backs leaning against your bed, your laptop shared between the two of your laps as you watched the lego batman movie on netflix. your knees were leaning against each other for comfort, it was too much effort to go out of both of your ways to completely avoid any physical contact since you were sat side by side, and it’s not like anyone could see you to judge anyways.

he looked down, removing his concentration from the film, “cool tattoo” he said, breaking the brief silence and staring down at your bare thigh. “thanks, spiders are actually my biggest fear so i thought i’d get them tatted on me so i could get over it” you murmured softly, letting out a soft laugh and looking down, a little embarrassed by your lame explanation. he lifted his hand that was closest to your side and gently placed his fingers on the spiderweb, trailing them delicately across the supple skin of your thigh, running lines around each corner of the web. your breathing became heavy as he completely caught you off guard by his touch, you tried to ignore the warmth between your legs as his skin held contact with yours. you felt your lips part from the light sensation, eyes fluttering shut as his fingers crept closer up you thigh to the top of the web. the goosebumps on your body were evident and hard to hide, you felt increasingly more flustered the longer his hands lingered on your body, “i like it” he replied, after what felt like years of sensory torture. you were disappointed when his hand left your thigh, moving it back down to his side and against the floor.

matt’s eyes made contact with the small tattoo that hid on your neck behind your ear, it was revealed due to the ponytail your hair was kept in- the tattoo was a match that was set alight, it had little to no meaning, you just thought it looked cool. your breath hitched completely when you saw matt lower himself to get a closer look at it, his hand travelling back to your thigh, doing loops around the web. as he leant in to observe it better his lips very lightly brushed the side of your upper neck, you were almost certain it was accidental but still felt a flutter in your stomach, feeling somewhat guilty of how aroused you were getting by such a tame interaction.

he slowly backed away from your neck, “that one is sick”, he whispered with a raspy voice, lips delicately grazing the edge of your ear as he returned his body to how he was sitting beforehand. “thanks” you mumbled, finding it hard to find words as you were attempting to lock in everything that just happened to your memory so you could save it for later when trying to sleep. you looked down at his arm and trailed your eyes over the numerous amount of tats that dotted across his skin, “these ones are my favourites” you pointed, placing your fingers on the leaves that fell down his forearm, “i love fall” you said quietly, looking back up at him and keeping heavy eye contact, he smirked at you and just as he opened his mouth to speak his phone began to ring, meg needed picking up.

Movies I watched in September

I skipped a month again. But not to worry. This is a wrap-up of all the movies I watched in the month of September (2021). I think I maintained a steady ratio throughout but perhaps there’s not as much on the list this time because I wanted to get on with other things, be that work-wise or just trying to get out to the beach as much as possible and make the most of the last dregs of summertime. I went swimming in the sea a lot! But I also got to catch the new James Wan movie, Malignant (twice!) as well as the new James Bond, No Time To Die. Not to mention a couple of classics! My hope again with this list is to introduce people to new movies that they may otherwise not have seen or perhaps have never have heard of. These short reviews are my own subjective opinions on each individual movie. I’m thinking maybe a more informal approach to movie criticism can help include others who are just passing through. So here is every film I watched from the 1st to the 30th of September.

Fanny and Alexander (1982) - 8/10

Coming from Ingmar Bergman, I was surprised to see just how warm this was. I’m a big fan of the Swedish director and while this isn’t my favourite from him (perhaps due to it needing a second watch, or the fact I watched it in three chunks because it’s about three hours long and I overestimated how much time I had in the day) it’s still an interesting departure from what I’ve come to expect from him. Fanny and Alexander is a dreamy Christmassy movie that presents an overarching theme of love, spending a large portion of its runtime just hanging out with this big family on Christmas and showing how close they are. I would love to watch this again at some point in December and see how my opinion shifts but for now, while it could meandre in places, I can’t deny how unique a movie it is.

Another Round (2021) - 10/10

I had seen Thomas Vinterberg’s latest film before this point but this was the first time I got to see it in a cinema. Luckily for me my local independent cinema was showing it one night and while they had a few technical hiccups with setting everything up, the movie itself was still fantastic. Following a handful of school teachers who experiment with whether they can maintain a certain level of blood alcohol throughout the day, Another Round demonstrates a sense of unease and sadness throughout an otherwise comedic tone. These emotions are balanced perfectly, boosting an already intriguing concept that examines our relationship with alcohol from every angle.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) - 4/10

Straight after Another Round, I made my way to the chain cinema to meet up with friends to see the new Marvel movie. At this point, having had my second dose of the Covid vaccine that morning, I was starting to feel the effects and I was not doing well. But I watched the movie anyway, all the while wanting to be in bed. Shang-Chi was massively underwhelming and I’d go as far as to say it was even incompetent. Truth be told,  I like the Marvel Cinematic Universe but from the get-go I already wasn’t hyped for this movie and I was expecting it to be about mediocre but what I got was something a lot worse. I won’t rehash what I’ve already said on this film so if you want to hear me rant about it a bit then I would recommend checking out episode 47 of my podcast, The Sunday Movie Marathon.

Your Name. (2016) - 6/10

Ultimately this was a fun little romance movie but I can’t say I understand why people adore it, nor do I understand why it needed to be animated. For what it’s worth, I found it cute and entertaining but nothing much jumped out to me.

Phil Wang: Philly Philly Wang Wang (2021) - 7/10

I’m always stumped on what to say about stand-up shows. It was good! I enjoyed Phil Wang talking about different things in a funny way and it got some laughs out of me. Admittedly I’m writing this a couple of weeks after watching it but it’s certainly a decent way to spend an hour if you’re looking for something light and fun.

The Lego Batman Movie (2017) - 6/10

I remember seeing this in the cinema with two of my friends and the theatre wasn’t exactly packed but those that were there were either children or parents. But I like The Lego Batman Movie! Clearly this was made by fans of the character as it’s packed with a lot of details and references from old comic runs but as someone who has never read the comics or seen those older movies, it still managed to be entertaining and while I won’t say it’s quite as good as The Lego Movie, the animation is still top notch and the voice actors are certainly giving it their all, especially Will Arnett as the titular character. It’s just a bit of fun!

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) - 10/10

A friend of mine told me to go to the screening of Terminator 2 at my local because they themselves weren’t able to attend. The first Terminator movie is a real gem and one of the most 80’s-type movies I’ve ever seen. I was excited to watch T2, remembering next to nothing about what I watched of it when I was a child. So it was just me in this screening, with one person in a row in front of me, and one other person behind me. If I had it my way, I would have been the only person there because this is honestly one of the best movies I’ve ever seen and it was very hard not to yell out every time something incredible happened, especially when it’s so action-packed and basically goes all out at every opportunity to deliver some of the most jaw-dropping effects or choreography. Truly there is never a dull moment and I was grinning like a lunatic the entire time. This film rocks!

Mirror (1975) - 7/10

Andrei Tarkovsky is one of my favourite directors and the new Criterion release of his film, Mirror, had been on my shelf for a while. My friend and fellow podcast co-host, Chris, was also interested in watching this movie so we decided we’d give it a watch and review it on the podcast. But this is such a weirdly structured film that the entire way through, neither of us knew what on earth was happening. What we got from the experience is reflected in the episode we made and I would love to watch this again at some point, hopefully with more context and a better understanding of what I’m in for. But in the meantime, you can hear the discussion on episode 46 of the podcast.

The Night House (2021) - 6/10

The Night House is David Bruckner’s follow-up to his previous movie, The Ritual and while I’ll say I prefer The Ritual, this is still a decent watch, just don’t go in expecting horror. More of my thoughts can be found in episode 46 of the podcast.

The Ritual (2017) - 7/10

After watching The Night House, I decided to go back to the director’s previous film, The Ritual and I got a lot more out of it this time around. Themes of guilt and grief permeate the movie and the result is this weird and unnerving film about a group of guys who go hiking in Sweden after the death of one of their friends and encounter dark forces beyond their comprehension. It can be drawn out at times and probably could have been boosted with a better script but there are so many interesting and strange ideas presented that culminate in a haunting third act that it’s worth watching just to see what on earth they’re being hunted by.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) - 10/10

Straight after recording an episode about our favourite movies on the podcast, I returned to one of my all-time favourites. Holy Grail is such a fantastically funny movie with so many memorable lines and moments that it’s become a staple in the comedy genre. Setting it in Arthurian England is a surefire way to make sure it stands the test of time, making use of the budget in a way that heightens the comedy, for example: not being able to get horses and so resorting to having a man banging two coconut halves together as they skip through the grassy terrain. It’s the writing that really takes centre stage here; the guys from Monty Python were/are geniuses. Malignant (2021) - 7/10

The new James Wan movie was bonkers! I saw this one twice in quick succession without hesitation. To find out why I love it so much, listen to episode 47 of the podcast.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) - 8/10

We got a marathon of the first three Nightmare on Elm Street movies on the podcast so we watched them in quick succession within a day. This first movie is a true masterpiece of its time. For more insight, listen to episode 47 of the podcast.

A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985) - 2/10

Quite an embarrassing departure from the genius and fun of the original. Elm Street 2 is not only technically unfulfilling but a wholly unentertaining movie to boot. More thoughts in episode 47 of the podcast.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) - 3/10

While only a few hairs better than its predecessor, Elm Street 3 is still a mere shadow of the original. All in all, these second and third instalments in the franchise have put me off watching any of the others. More thoughts in episode 47 of the podcast.

Her (2013) - 10/10

Her is at once a beautiful love story between a man and an AI, and a scarily accurate look at how technology is expanding and moving forward. It uses warm colours and smooth camera work to create something that feels homely and safe, juxtaposing the often cold and dark feeling of science-fiction films to tell an intrinsically human story. What would it be like to go through this and what are the hurdles that need to be overcome? Her is a masterpiece of filmmaking and it left me emotionally exhausted in all the right ways.

Alien (1979) - 10/10

First time I’ve seen Alien in the cinema (as I was too busy not being born yet to see it on an initial release) and it was amazing! This is cosmic horror at its best. With all the eerie sound design, slow and deliberate camera movement, and outstanding effects, there’s no wonder as to why this is considered one of the greats and seeing it on the big screen was enthralling.

Aliens (1986) - 8/10

I had never seen Aliens before so the opportunity to see it for the first time in a cinema was one I could not pass up, especially since I was able to see it straight after the first. This is more of an action movie than the first one and as that, it was really something to see. While I don’t think it quite measures up to the original, James Cameron does bring a style to it that makes it something completely different while still feeling in line with its predecessor. A problem I’ve found as time goes on is that I don’t find myself thinking much about Aliens whatsoever and that’s probably down to its characters who generally I found quite weak. I’m already not big on standard action flicks and this is a clear cut above those but it does still fall victim to the trappings. That being said, I would in no way call this bad or even mediocre because it was a lot fun and being able to see it in the cinema is an experience I’m very grateful for.

Gunpowder Milkshake (2021) - 6/10

Gunpowder Milkshake is trying very hard to be John Wick and although it never really manages it, there is still fun to be had with its action (because really that’s all this movie has to offer). There’s a very creative scene in which Karen Gillan has to fight some goons in a hospital with a gun taped to one hand and a scalpel taped to the other, with the caveat being that her arms don’t work. Despite that and a good enough performance from Gillan, the rest is very goofy, with a villain about as intriguing as an advert for life insurance and a story that to say the least, leaves much to be desired.

I Lost My Body (2019) - 10/10

Another one for the podcast, I Lost My Body is a glorious cerebral animated piece that hits every nerve in my body. Listen to episode 48 for more.

Alice In Wonderland (1951) - 10/10

Perhaps the best early Disney movie in my humble opinion. Alice In Wonderland is complete insanity, doing things simply for the sake of it in a beguiling dreamlike take on Lewis Carroll’s classic book. Listen to episode 48 of The Sunday Movie Marathon for more.

WALL-E (2008) - 9/10

WALL-E is one of Pixar’s best. It is a cautionary tale of where the world is headed wrapped in a sweet story about going to the ends of the solar system in order to help those you love. I do however have one big problem with this movie and you can find out more in episode 48 of the podcast.

Killing Them Softly (2012) - 6/10

A lot about America’s economy at the time, Killing Them Softly goes about showing the lengths people will go to for money and yes it is generally solid with a fantastic speech by Brad Pitt to cap it off, but it cannot avoid meandering scenes of listless dialogue that neither engage me nor make me care about the characters it presents.

The Dirties (2013) - 6/10

Funny! The Dirties is a mockumentary about two guys making a movie about bullies in their school. While often it was generally chugging along and making me laugh, it tended to err on the side of plain as regards its presentation. A lot of scenes happen for the sake of it and in a movie that’s around an hour and twenty, it’s amazing I still managed to dip out in the latter half. More thoughts in episode 49 of the podcast.

Telstar: The Joe Meek Story (2009) - 3/10

Ah, I really hated this. I don’t even want to talk about it anymore. Just listen to episode 49 of the podcast to hear what I had to say.

Blade Runner 2049 (2017) - 10/10

No Time To Die (2021) - 8/10

Best Bond movie? Perhaps. I’ve not seen every Bond movie but of the ones I have seen (which does include all of Daniel Craig’s run), this is as good as it gets. Despite a near three hour runtime, No Time To Die felt as though it wasted very little. I’ve always complained that I could never follow the plot to these movies because often I simply didn’t care about it; for me it’s more about the action and seeing Daniel Craig be James Bond. No Time To Die does not escape some of the general tropes that often don’t leave me thinking I’ve watched something masterful but what I will say in its favour is that it’s fucking fun! Don’t expect to love it if you already dislike these movies because generally it stays in the same vein as the others before it, but for Bond fans it’s something totally enjoyable. Captivating cinematography, biting fight choreography and action set-pieces, a core struggle for James who actually goes through relatable hardships his time round, coping with being part of a family and trying to keep them safe.

I was happy to see a bit more attention paid to female characters this go round; in a franchise that often glamorizes Bond’s sexual promiscuity and ability to woo any woman he likes, it was much more refreshing to see that he often did need help from a lot of badass, well written female characters.

No Time To Die has been waiting to be released for a long time now and now it’s actually out, I’m pleased it’s not hot garbage. In fact, quite the opposite is true. The final swan song for Craig’s fifteen-year tenure as one of cinema’s most recognisable heroes outdoes all that came before it. Bravo.

I had reblogged a picture of them, apparently it was their Thanksgiving post when they were 16? So, anyway, I have more Thoughts. As in, nothing is based on facts if that wasn’t clear (besides the bit on myself and my own experience) but more on circumstantial happenings and speculation of my own inference, and those are not facts.

(I feel like I need to slow down on them since it feels like I'm going to accidentally post something offensive eventually)

Continuing on, I'm not surprised that Grayson has that 'fuck what other people think' mentality because I've seen hints of it, also the fact that Grayson was more openly affectionate even on screen even to this day. He really is very aware of who he is and probably cares more about what Ethan (or maybe his family in general, but I'm going to emphasize Ethan here anyway) thinks of him than what any other people in the world thinks of him.

I think that most of the time, he played along with Ethan shrugging him off, being mean on screen, was for Ethan's peace of mind and realizing it for what it was, Ethan being insecure and thinking 'what would other people think? I don't want people to think we're weird'. I am guessing this kind of mentality is what Grayson frustrates on most of the time too. 

I am someone that have given up in caring what other people think of me, but a lot of people in my life, including few close friends of mine, sometimes frustratingly, in a few occasions, even myself, cares a lot what other people think of them. It frustrated me sometimes when they backed off from doing what they liked because it was deemed too 'childish' by others, or too 'nerdy', or too 'otaku' or 'extra', when I honestly don't see what the big deal was. I had to admit though, it frustrated me because usually it was something I wanted to do too. I just didn't want to do it myself because, well, it wouldn't be as fun. For example, when the Lego Batman movie came out, I really wanted to watch it. A friend of mine I knew wanted to watch it too. But, they wouldn't because 'isn't that for kids? Wouldn't there be a lot of kids? We'll be the only grown ups there, no, I'm embarrassed, what if we met someone we knew. Let's just wait for the Blu-ray to come out and we'll have a movie night'. The thing was, I really wanted to watch it, and they kept hesitating so much it frustrated me, so I just went on my own one time because I really, really wanted to watch it. I was stressed enough about college at the time and I just wanted the cute lego version of my favourite superhero kick ass and make myself cry of laughter. And lo and behold, adults watched it too. Granted, most of them brought their little cousin/children/tykes/siblings, still there are adults. And people don't really care I, an adult, watched it without a little kid with me. It was just one example, and it wasn't like I didn't understand their thought. Like I said, I also had my moments, and I am also an overthink-er, insecure, and paranoid at times.

Of course, maybe sometimes it was just because they were just sick of each other and I get that, I have a brother too, we have moments, but since I am me (new fan but already too deep in Grethan, I admit) and not them I just couldn't quite comprehend why. I see them as each other's security blanket and they touch so often they probably would feel weirder not to touch for extended periods of time.

My brother and I are not touchy feely at all, and it actually feels weird for us to even hug, unless it's been at least six months or a year since we last seen each other. Even then, three seconds were all we need before it felt weird. Us getting sick of each other were usually because we were used to have our own space and like that space. Ethan and Grayson are not. I even thought for a couple of times if having a space between them seemed to stress them out. They invade each other's space so often I don't think they really consider the other's space as other's, but always theirs. They can have their own room, their own physical space, but they were always within reachable distance, some kind of spiritual closeness where there was no spiritual space at all between them, and touch was just how it manifested physically. Ethan could refuse to eat Grayson's food, Grayson could refuse....doing something for Ethan... (I can't really think of anything Grayson would refuse because he has so much less hang ups than Ethan) but one thing I don't see them refusing was touch, not from each other. I don't think they even think their touching was a big deal to them, it was their normal. It doesn't even necessarily sexual/romantic for them, but just comes off as like that. It was other people (including me) that think it was weird/romantic/sexual/incestuous (emphasis on the romantic part for me). That's why I think them shrugging the other off was more because they (though I guess specifically Ethan) think that was what siblings are supposed to do than them actually wanting space.

I probably should end the post here, I was already rambling and making no sense, but I still have more...

Continuing on to another topic, I then started thinking again to their "draw my life" vid, about them not getting accepted to this prestigious sport school. I imagine they did really well in school, especially in sports. They did become captains of their sport teams, if I remember right. We know they are very athletic. From what I know, if they really excelled in it and if their grades weren't problematic, then there shouldn't be any reason for at least one of them to not get accepted, vine or no vine. Of course, since the thought hits me, it makes me think the possibility of maybe one of them did. And if it was Ethan.

(Before I continue on, I am paranoid and I feel like I need to stress that I am practically writing fanfiction here and the only basis I have is my imagination and speculation)

In the possibility that one of them did get accepted, if Grayson was the one that did, I don't think Ethan would let him back out. I don't see him as someone who would be petty, not to Grayson, not in this. In my impression of them, Grayson was the one that actually likes learning. He maybe didn’t like school, but he likes studying, though I infer that because he likes to read, which I know doesn't necessarily equate to studying. So, maybe he was just being his competitive self, but he just had to study harder than Ethan did to get the same score and that came off as being more studious than Ethan. He had a handicap but he works really hard to overcome that. Meanwhile, I imagine Ethan as someone that did good enough in school but not necessarily like to study beyond the bare minimum of what was required to pass the test. That's why, in this scenario, even if Grayson didn't want to leave Ethan and scared of facing the school on his own, he would listen to his brother. If Ethan told him he should go for it, he probably would. Maybe he would regret it later and quit and still move to LA with Ethan, but he still would do it first.

But, if Ethan was the only one accepted, he would refuse it hands down. He didn't like school to begin with (I inferred from what they said about being bullied and became introverted people) and seem to equate school as a very lonely place. The only positive thing he had in school was Grayson (and sport). If he had to go to school without Grayson in it, even if Grayson tried to persuade him, I think he'd still rather stop going to school altogether. Even in this hypothetical scenario, I can already think that maybe the reason Grayson didn't get in was because of his dyslexia. If it was really prestigious, it might’ve happened.

Of course, it was all hypothetical and both of them may just really didn't get in for the same reason sometimes people didn't get into their first-choice college and had to apply to many colleges and see which one would accept them. Maybe consider this another note for my future fanfic I haven’t written yet? 😁 😁

Some more thought (because separating this in another post is a pain, excuse me). The whole thing also makes me think back on their Q&A vid with the lie detector and Grethan question. Grayson had been answering questions pretty truthfully, even the hard question (I consider Ethan’s question about Grayson leaving as hard, because if I was Ethan that couldn’t be easy to hear despite him joking about it), but he stumbled at that question and makes me think that Grayson knew he was going to be found lying, knew he'd get found out, but he said it anyway for Ethan's peace of mind.

He also stumbled on the marrying James question, but I also found some videos/gif/something live/younow? I can't remember at all now, but in there Grayson was saying 'yes, of course I'll marry you' so very easily every time anyone asked. He was most likely just humoring the fans, but I remember thinking his ease of saying them kinda strikes me as a little... weird/unusual? Maybe I kinda thought he would be at least a little flustered. Maybe it was because he knew his fans were just joking with him, but I also remember thinking Grayson had looked earnest in saying them. I wondered if he really didn't care about the who, just as long as that he loves them and he was loved back equally.

Of course, since I am a Grethan fan I also had fun thinking, what if he didn't care about whoever he's going to marry because he already has a partner in life with a stronger bond than a marriage where they can still get divorced, which was his bond (brotherhood, lovers, romance, bromance, pick your poison) with Ethan. I also love the one post/comment/tweet/I really can’t remember but it was a grethan account somewhere, that said it was probably because Ethan said "from James. Will you marry me," and it could sound like Ethan was the one proposing. Yeah, his heart could skip a beat.

Sigh.......

What book or movie changed your view on how the world works?

Honestly? a whole slew of generic fantasy movies, but not for the reasons you’d think. My mother let me watch them at like, elementary-school age, but she also let me watch the special features and making-of’s first, and as dumb and corny as that sounds it really helped me as a kid realize that a lot of the evils and shit around aren’t necessarily huge unstoppable monsters. Everyone’s human, y’know? I don’t watch a lot of movies I get most of my life-lessons from other media lmao

God, that’s a tough one. What career did you want to have in high school and has that changed or stayed the same now?

Back in high school I wanted more than anything to be in a metal band with my friends, but I knew that since that’s not exactly a valid career path that I could try my hand at breaking into the animation industry as well. It’s stayed exactly the same. The only thing that’s changed is that the buddy I had who wanted to be a drummer in high school has totally bailed on me.

A very serious and incredibly angry half-hour rant on centaur physiology which segwayed into centaur pregnancy and why a specific franchise I will never mention got it completely fucking wrong a friend of mine and I had. I think that’s the closest I’ve ever been to becoming a full-fledged mad scientist.

What’s your most prized possession?

God at the risk of sounding like the most cliche musician trope ever, and unfortunately since I can never pick a single favorite, it’s probably my guitars. There is a reason for that though!

The three I have are a really crappy super cheap acoustic, the first guitar or indeed musical instrument I have ever owned, I’ve had it since I was a kid and despite it being in worse shape than I am, I love that thing.

I’ve also got a Not-An-Actual-Strat, or as I call it, The Electric Guitar That’s Nearly Everyone’s First, which holy shit if you’d have seen me back when I first got it we were nearly fuckin inseparable for months lmao. It was another gift from my dad, and I really love the thought behind it since he promised me he’d never buy me something like this until I had proved I’d earned it, or at the very least proved I’d been practicing, and I fuckin did. That and on the Christmas Day I’d opened it he got one too, which unsurprisingly lead to my first honest to goodness jam session, which was cool as hell

My last guitar, and the one I play the most is a Warlock, and I fucking LOVE that thing for not only how it sounds, feels, and looks, but also because it was the first guitar that I fuckin bought with my own goddamn money. I scraped and saved, I fuckin bled for this thing, and god damn if it wasn’t worth it.
