-slamming bolt upright in a cold sweat- what do you mean verbal contracts cleo. what do you MEAN verbal contracts cleo. artists if you're doing commercial work you're A) charging much higher rates and B) making them SIGN A CONTRACT, right? right? you understand why that's VITAL, right? why having a written contract is VITAL for commercial work? you understand? you make them sign a written contract? please if you go looking in proper artist/graphic design circles i'm sure you can find a basic form that's legal in your locality and doesn't require you talk to a lawyer but if you're doing commercial work you're MAKING THEM SIGN A CONTRACT RIGHT--

No... How can this be?
Daddy’s favorite wine sippy cup...
Now I’m going to have to drink it out of the box like a fucking animal!
You’ve taken everything from me, Machine.
And now we’re going to get drunk together.
That’s right, the only way to repay me for your sins and the breaking of my favorite wine glass, is to finish off this box of wine with me!
And we’re going to have conversations that we think are deep only because we're drunk off our asses.
And by dawn's light, who knows, maybe enemies will be turned into…
EVEN STRONGER FUCKING ENEMIES I’M GOING TO KILL YOU.

I can’t believe I have to say this again.
But like.
Do not leave comments that bash on the actual show whilst ‘complimenting’ my fanworks. It does not make me happy at all IN FACT I really HATE it when people do that.
I create stuff for this fandom because I adore the show with all its flaws and everything. I grew up with the show and I adore the characters so much. So when I receive comments or tags saying stuff like “Ugh if only the writers knew how to write like that” or “You should be in charge of canon cos canon is shit lol”, it just fucks up my mood and it makes me feel grossed out.
There are millions of things out there to write or say to other people about their work without having to bring down canon and what the actual professionals have worked on.
Keep your gripes about the show off my work.

Ray is so weird, I can never accept him dating ANYONE in this show. The way he got aggressive against Mew, because Mew did not want to have sex, is horrible. Just because you're a nice friend does not mean you're entitled to sex.
Ray is messed up and that was definitely wrong of him. Like, no hesitation, he pushed hard because he's been nice and Mew agreed to date him and he was wrong for that. No denials.
Ray is an addict with serious mental health issues and past trauma who was being used by his friend to hurt another person and actively lied to about their relationship.
Ray was wrong. Ray was upset that he was being used and his love was being used and he was asked into this relationship not because he was loved but because he was the best way to hurt someone else. And he lashed out in a moment because he saw this as just another thing that he was never going to be able to do that someone else did, more proof that he was being used and that he wasn't worth anything.
Ray was wrong. He should not have pushed Mew for sex or gotten upset when he was rejected. But he wasn't wrong in that Mew did ask him to be in a relationship entirely to hurt Top and that his love was being used to hurt another person.
He was not entitled to sex and he didn't get it and he was wrong to be upset by Mew's boundaries but that doesn't mean that Mew wasn't drawing boundaries meant to hurt Ray because he wasn't choosing him.
Mew only chose Ray because he was the easiest way to hurt Top.
This is not a show about anyone being morally superior, it's a show about messy young adult gay men who are discovering themselves and each other as they process their friendships, relationships, traumas,a addictions and the start of healing.
Ray is not worse than the rest of the show. He is different but everyone is making mistakes and that's the point.
Anyway, hi anon from last week. Again. You can block me if my takes bother you that much. Please do. I am just here to enjoy this morally ambiguous show for what it is, my own biases and all.

when i said i would have deranged rant abt c!zam yesterday i thought i was going to have derangements abt s4 zam. and that wasnt entirely false i am also having derangements about s4 zam but im also having derangements about s3 (just rewatched the finale with some friends and remembered why zam's s3 finale was the video that made me go Oh. i CARE about lifesteal now huh)
anyway i'm thinking about s3 finale era zam showing up to meet with spoke ready for a fight. his inventory full of gapples and cobwebs and potions. eighteen hearts. and he uses them! he throws regen on spoke and he puts cobwebs beneath spoke so spoke can't kill himself by jumping off the mountain and he throws spoke two hearts and gapples and begs him to use them. i'm thinking about, after spoke comes back, zam spawntrapped. refusing to give up, hitting spoke over and over again with a stone axe that does nothing as spoke kills him over and over. i'm thinking about spoke, a bit earlier, saying: doesn't this sound familiar? and he's talking about zam's own suicide-by-execution after the fall of the princezam empire, and he's not wrong, but his words also echo into their future, into s4: vitalasy in the end base, putting subz in cobwebs, throwing him hearts and gapples, begging him not to kill himself; zam with a stone sword, hitting roshambo over and over. i'm thinking about spoke, even earlier than that: lifesteal works in cycles. because it does, doesn't it? it's all the same thing. they're not the same people but also they kind of are. thinking about zam yelling i ruined it! it's all my fault! if anyone should be banned, it should be me! because he's the same person as the one who banned himself earlier in s3, the same person who almost banned himself twice in s4. because even though spoke's his enemy spoke's also his friend and he doesn't want spoke to die. he brought stuff to kill spoke but he doesn't want to ban spoke, doesn't want spoke to kill himself. he's trying to save the server from getting banned (even his enemies) and spoke is trying to ban the server (even himself). in voiceover in his video zam says "i couldn't save spoke." he couldn't save spoke. he tried to save spoke. his enemy! his enemy who spawnkills him twice in the same video! zam couldn't save him. spoke asking why zam is still trying. but zam has to save things just like spoke has to destroy things. zam can't give up because he just-- can't, it's not his nature, across seasons and servers zam Does Not Give Up. even when it kills him. maybe especially when it kills him. i keep coming back to the cobwebs and the gapples and the regen pots. he brought them to kill spoke and he's trying to use them to save spoke's life. MAN. man! in conclusion. sorry for being stuck on a thing that happened in s3. as if it's my fault

Lightning, water, and fire! Like forever before the plot starts. By the time the plot starts, the lightning and fire deities have been subjected to punishment by the two gods that picked them.
Oh (the fire deity) is first to be punished. They basically decide that since they're going to live for a long time, gotta set some long time goals! And they opt to be the wrath of the gods since most of the other deities are too 'soft' in their opinion. So Oh just. Smites humans. This isn't really a /good/ thing and in their defense mentally, they do it to help Ymber since he's the softest of them all. So their punishment by the gods is to be split in two, effectively halving the power of one into two. (Now they are in a male and a female body and use both male and female pronouns apart since they together make they but apart it feels weird to be they. But prior to the split they use they/them. Also the split bodies go by the names Ohiwe and Ohime.)
Fulj is the second to be punished. She falls in love with a mortal woman and that is a crime according to the gods. Mortals and immortals are not to be together and it will only bring suffering to both sides. So her punishment is her memories of the woman are stripped and her body basically broken to the point she can't remain physical all the time.
Ymber, unfortunately, is the one who blames himself for the discoveries and punishments. If he had only tried to restrain Oh more then maybe they would have chilled out and stopped before being punished. If he had only tried to persuade Fulj to not continue seeing the mortal woman so often perhaps she wouldn't have been punished. So he's just increasing the guilt on his shoulders every day that he remains unpunished since the elder gods have both laid down to rest. They can't enforce their laws anymore and none of the deities are keen on harming one another at this point. They just want to continue existing in peace.
