The davinci code series is an absolute clusterfuck for how it was adapted:

*The adapted the second book first (the davinci code)

*Then they adapted the first book but presented it as a sequel of the first movie rather than a prequel (angels and demons)

*Then they skipped the third book altogether (the lost symbol)

*Then they adapted the fourth book as the finale to the trilogy (inferno)

*Then the completly ignored the fifth book (genesis)

*And THEN they adapted the third book into a tv series with different actors and its own continuity (the lost symbol)
