I wanted for so long to do a Sylvanian photoshoot in my local library and specifically in the archives! So I took a Chantilly cat and did a few takes. I gave him a little outfit that reminds me of Aziraphale and it's just perfect! (more pics to come!)
(Personnal pic. PLEASE REBLOG. Do not use or repost. Thanks! NSFW and kinks accounts DO NOT INTERACT!)

Internet people, I summen thy knowledge once more:
I need the name of this aesthetic so Ivan indulge myself in it properly, like God intended: sulking on pinterest whilst making a Spotify playlist.
The aesthetic wiki couldn't help me.
Y'all know Annie Montgomerie? (If not, look up her work and you'll get it.) It's where critters wear vintage clothes and live in a world that resembles the 19th century. I found multiple term for this. It was either Beatrix Potter awsthetic (cuz Peter Rabbit obvi) and crittercore. (The latter got a lot of calico critter results which is not what I want specifically.)
But I need these in a dark, unsettling vibe. Like not horror-y or gory or anything like that. It just has that uncanny feeling to it.
Not dark fairycore nor is it dark cottagecore. I specifically need the animals and that uncanny fairytale vibe.
//also little off topic but did you know that traumatized people like these unsettli aesthetics? Like I'm also on love with liminal space and weirdcore. My friends dislike them however cuz "it rubs them the wrong way". Before it creeped me out too, but after events, they make me feel comforted? Idk. Having nostalgia to a place and time I never lived in.//

a yandere!John Wick x fem!reader sunshine/grump coffee shop AU... Part 44 all chapters
WARNINGS FOR THIS FIC: NSFW, SEXUAL CONTENT, VIOLENCE, YANDERE SH!T. Plz take care. I luv u all. 😘
44. the god of death
As you savor the last days of early fall before bitter cold sets in, John seems way more interested in teaching you how to ride, than planning a wedding. You are perfectly fine with that. You studied up and took the permit test online the very next day. Most of it was common sense–or at least, you’d like to think so. A trip to the DMV in Clear Forks rendered you legal for the road.
You go for rides together almost every afternoon, through the winding mountain roads, and down in town in higher traffic as well. You’ll be good and ready for your test come spring. You feel as though he has gifted you a set of wings, when you are flying down the highway together, the mountains looming majestically in the distance. Once you get the hang of it, it’s not hard to work the bike, it just takes focus–or you might die.
Oddly–the risk seems totally worth it. Not just for your own enjoyment, but his too. You can tell that being on the bike soothes something in this man’s battered soul, and you’re rather honored that he’d share this hobby with you.
When the days get short and winter sets in, it’s too cold for the bikes, even with battery heated jackets, you fall into a new routine. John is usually the first one out of bed. Sometimes he wakes you with kisses and his beautiful cock before wandering down to the kitchen to make a simple breakfast for the two of you, usually eggs and sliced fruit with coffee. John disappears into his workshop repairing a set of first edition Beatrix Potter books, and you go to your studio, though true inspiration continues to escape you. You feel as though something is hovering just beyond your grasp; inspiration waits behind a curtain, if you could just find the right trigger to sweep it aside.
After lunch you often sit together and read in the den with the fireplace burning. When the first snow falls it feels like magic, in that house with him. You make love on the couch and then watch the fat flakes fall through the window from under a soft blanket, John’s arms wrapped around you. Later you make dinner together, feeding each other tidbits while chopping up vegetables, bumping into each other on purpose just to steal a kiss. You close the evening with a glass of wine and sometimes a movie or a show, and sometimes you read some more.
Sometimes, John looks at you with that smoldering warmth in his dark eyes, and you go to bed early.
Life is so damn near perfect that it almost scares you. It really seems like the Camorra have convinced the idiotic young Dante to leave you alone, and a part of you deep down wonders if you could truly be so lucky? You know that John has not forgotten about him completely. He does not let you go to town by yourself, not even to the grocery store. This doesn’t particularly bother you–even something so mundane as pottering up and down the isles with your trolley is fun with this man at your side. You crack jokes in the wine aisle, and exchange kisses in the produce, and you’re sure everyone around you is rolling their eyes at your expense–you’re so in love you simply do not care.
One morning John cuts up a pomegranate for breakfast, the juicy little seeds glowing brilliant magenta in the sunlight, and as he holds out one for you to try from his fingertips inspiration hits you like a shovel to the head. You accept the morsel between your lips, laving his digit clean with your tongue as you gaze up at this man in black towering over you: your lover, your protector, your captor turned your intended. Sensing the change in you, John tilts his head slightly, raven hair swinging into his midnight-dark eyes. You reach up to brush it behind his ear carefully, almost as though you are seeing him anew.
“You like it?” he asks, and there is something fragile in his tone. Neither of you are sure he’s talking about the pomegranate.
“I love it,” you assure him, putting him at ease. You tangle your legs with his under the breakfast table, further affirming your affection. But for the first time in a while, you cannot wait to get up to your studio.
You start with sketches, working manically to make a sort of storyboard, plotting out a whole series. You incorporate the symbols of the pomegranate and the narcissus, telling the tale of a girl who is snatched up from beside a Venetian canal by a God of Death–and how she falls in love with him.
Though you work with your door closed, needing the privacy to create, you know John looks over what you’re making later. Sometimes he’ll place a pen or a sketchbook not quite where you left them, as though signaling that he’s been there. His most blatant admission comes in the form of a sticky note pasted like a caption below one of your gouache illustrations on thick paper, of a glowing girl clutching a bright white narcissus flower, gazing up at a man in shadow sitting upon a throne of skulls, “And the God of Death fell hopelessly in love.”
Later, while you’re snuggled together on the couch with dog at your feet, he tells you, “If you make them on longer pieces of paper, I can bind them for you.” This quiet offer of collaboration on an art project fills your heart with a sneaking warmth that starts in your chest, and spreads all the way to your toes.
“I would like that,” you admit, kissing his cheek sweetly.
His next question comes quieter still; you see the worry written in those soulful dark eyes: “Are you still angry?”
You realize that the answer to that is complex. The truth is: you were, deep down, despite how good things have been. But putting all of it down on paper with ink and pigment has exorcized something toxic from you. Something that might have acted as a slow-leaching poison in your relationship, had you not administered these therapeutic paintings as your antidote. Something about reclaiming your story in the images drawn from your hand, and telling it the exact way you please, (with some stylistic embellishments borrowed from Hades and Persephone) acts as a healing balm.
“Not anymore,” you tell him, and you mean what you say.
John’s relief is a palpable thing; you feel the tension release from his body pressed against yours. It still has not ceased to amaze you, the power you seem to hold over this formidable man. But it goes both ways, and somehow, through blood, sweat, tears, and all the love in your hearts, you have managed to strike a balance together that makes both of you happy.
Maybe you are young, but you are smart enough to know that is a rare and precious thing indeed.

The best writer?
Dedicated to @bitterkarella and taken a bit of... okay, a LOT of tone from their works. Check them out!
A dark room, with robed figures standing around, uneasily shifting their weight as their leader rises.
JKR: Hello children… I am the bessst author all around, they sssay, and it isss true. ?: Ehem, excuse me, sorry, coming thru. Hello, everyone. Allow me to introduce myself. I am The Bard. JKR: William Shakespeare: You may know my tales. I know you do, you happily cribbed from some.
JKR: I ssaid I am the bessst children'sss author… ?: Oh, sorry, pardon for intruding. Hi. Erich Kästner. You may know me as the man who wrote Emil and the Detectives. JKR: Britisssh author, asss I sssaid… ?: Pardon me for interrupting, I am A. A. Milne. I, well, can't help to notice what you said, and how it was, well, not so truthful.
JKR: Asss I sssaid, I am the bessst adult human female author all- ?: Oh, excuse me. Beatrix Potter, greetings everyone. So, I have heard that you got my name in your little story? JKR: …I never even heard of you. Beatrix Potter: Now that would be quite a feat, when almost every British child, especially from your background, grew up with Peter Rabbit… And I made research on fungi. JKR: Mosssst prolific writer of all timesss!
The darkness near them falls asunder and the sound of a typewriter can be heard. As she turns, she sees a man, sitting on a throne made of books, typing with no real pause. ?: Hello all. Isaac Asimov. I don't think I got to say more. JKR: I don't know you. Asimov: Then you never opened a sci-fi book from the past 80 years. Nor any chemistry book worth its salt. Speaking of, did you finally checked some of the biology books referencing me, or are you still making up things?
Jkr: …mossst versssatile- ?: Oh, pardon me, Enid Blyton. You may know me as the one who gave the world Noddy, the Famous Five and the Naughty Girl series. JKR: You write about naughty girlsss? Like a male would? ?: Oh, sorry. I have to say, you misunderstand what she meant by that word. Oh, where are my manners? Just call me Mr. Rogers, please.
JKR woke up, drenched in sweat. She brushed off a few hundred pounds off of herself, still sticky from the sweat, and grabbed her phone to go on eksh dot com. However, the parental lock was still on.

so I've really been struggling when it comes to exactly how much magic I want to be included in dark suspension, I want to keep the story feeling grounded and "real" but it is also a fantastical setting and meant to be a story you can use as an a escape from real life into fantasy.
A Song Of ice And fire series (the GOT show as well but specifically the books) have inspired me and So-yin's character a lot. Three of her biggest inspirations are Daenerys Targaryen, Margaery Tyrell, and Lyanna Stark. Outside of ASOIAF she's inspired by Persephone, Thomasin from The Witch, Dani Ardor from Midsommar, Ellen Ripley from Aliens, and Beatrix Kiddo from Kill Bill.
Anyways, in ASOIAF magic exists but has been nearly lost due to people forgetting the correct practices, just how the society had progressed, and other things. But it is absolutely still real though we've seen strong evidence that most (if not all) require blood sacrifice. Azor Ahai could only create Lightbringer when his wife Nissa Nissa agreed to let him plunge it through her heart. All the magic practiced in Valyria is directly tied to fire and blood magic. Dany only awoke her dragons once she sacrificed Drogo, Rhaego, and Mirri Maz Duur. Jojen paste- Three Eyed Raven most DEFINITELY had Bran eat Jojen's mashed up brain in order to properly awaken his Green magic. And so much more.
I really like that idea. That, because of So-yin's constraints on Earth and inability to offer blood, she couldn't properly practice magic. But once on Yautja Prime, she realizes that there is magic once she starts to use blood sacrifice. Obviously she's not gonna kill any innocent people, she would use animals that Ghost brings back from a hunt or she hunts.
I'm a little nervous to add this, though, because I worry that maybe it's "too much" or "too far" and will make readers lose their investment or suspension of disbelief. So I guess I'm just wondering what yalll think? I would still try to keep the magic as grounded as possible. I promise So-yin wouldn't be running around with a wand hurling fire balls at people out of her hands lmao it wouldn't become some sort of Harry Potter stuff. I'd keep it very tied into pagan and other practices, I like a certain grittiness to magic like the ones in ASOIAF. If a wizard from Harry Potter met any of the magic users in ASOIAF, the wizard would be instantly killed and sacrificed lmao. That's the type of magic I really like (though I love the Harry Potter type magic but in different scenarios haha)
Anyone have any ideas or thoughts? I'm totally open to criticism or suggestions etc!

You know those Beatrix Potter pictures? They are so cute and capture a soft aesthetic. But have you read those stories or watched the cartoon from the 90s?
Every episode was like "don't go there little rabbit/piglet/kitten or Mr Mcgregor will make a pie/ham out of you." And he almost did, other animals were evil too and at the end papa would woop this little animals ass with a stick for not listening to him. The aura was so dark and disturbing too? Like when rats wanted to make a beef wellington out of a kitten?

RULES:
All fictional women from a category will be randomized, and put into polls
Whoever gets 50 votes automatically proceeds into the next round. There won't be only one winner for each poll!
We will do one category at the time. We'll start with books.
We'll decide on a winner of each category, and then whoever had the most votes, will proceed into the Final 10.
I'll calculate how many votes each woman got, so that at the end of the voting, you can see how many other women also adored your favourite ones :)
This also means that once you vote, if there's someone else you also want to see in the finals, you can reblog and let your followers know who already has enough votes, and who needs more in order to proceed. I'll also sometimes reblog polls announcing that a certain character has made the cut, and now others need your attention. We're trying to see which ones are loved and adored enough to actually get a lot of votes, even with competition. The voting starts at the end of nominations!
(POLLS ARE COMING SHORTLY)

Tumblr media
Just as quickly as the cold air came, it left and so did the peace in the manor. Draco seemed on edge. He was constantly checking on you, more than he usually did; but when you asked why, he said he was just scared you were doing something that could hurt you. You didn't push the matter. Draco Malfoy, hell any Malfoy would only tell you what they see fit for you to know. That could be scary and leave you suspicious, but Draco hadn't done
anything to make you think he'd hurt you, so you had no reason to be suspicious. Everything seemed like a ship on the sea just waiting for a strong wave to flip it over and everyone would sink. You were just hoping you wouldn't drown when it went under, but being on the outside of this all meant you would go first…
It could have been midnight or early morning when the obnoxious sound of a woman was Heard. You shot up from your sleep, heading towards the end of the hall. The sky wasn't particularly black but it wasn't blue. Something about that puts you on edge.
Who would be making so much noise?
"Dumbledore is dead hahaha!" The high-pitched voice squeaked.
Beatrix
But what was she doing here right now? If what she said was true and dumbledore was dead, then Hogwarts was coming to its end.
"Yes, yes, well-done everyone, well done," another voice said and recognized the sickly calm voice as Voldemort's. Everything paused for a moment. This would mean you were in the house with-
"Now we just need to get rid of the boy,"
Harry, Harry was in danger.
You tried to grasp all of it but nothing made sense. no one here seemed dangerous, no one seemed like they wanted to-
"We have his sister." Draco's voice made your head spin with betrayal. Had he been a part of this? Was it all staged? He had to know.
"Ah, excellent my boy," Voldemort praised.
You paused before back down the hall. You were breathing heavily but the air wasn't being taken into your lungs, your heart clenching in your chest. you only made it halfway before you ran into something.
"I'm afraid you're coming with me, Potter.' Lucius spat, grabbing you.
You fought in his grip, tears blurring your eyes, legs kicking frantically, trying to hurt him enough so he would drop you, but with your mind swirling with the new information you were weakened by the pain and rage within you.
"Let me go!"
"Quiet girl! I found her, my Lord, she was about to escape when I caught her."
Kiss ass
"Hello there Potter, surely you know who I am" Voldemort says, walking towards you, his black clothing following behind and his long fingernailed hand waving about as he makes it closer.
"No, I don't think I have. I think I'd remember the only noseless person I've ever seen." you hissed.
some laughter is heard before it goes quiet. Voldemort stands, his head tilted and something tells you he wasn't a fan of being the laughing stock in the room.
"Very well, if you've chosen to not be a part of this you'll be against us," he states before his cold, lifeless hand strikes your cheek. You yelp holding your face.
"Take her away, we don't need her now," he ordered. Draco looks at you filled with guilt. He looks as though he'd seen the dead. You glare back being pulled away.
Only hearing the shouts of someone before your met with your fate in the dark cell and only one thing crossed your mind.
You should have listened to Harry…

Was reading through some asks and Ira being a Beatrix Potter mouse just made me think
Peter Rabbit walked up to the little mouse wearing a big black hat knitting on the stump "Hello Ira Mouse, how have you been?"
Ira Mouse replied "Have you heard of the under god Peter? The dark force about which our society's blood games is are nothing but faulty offerings?"
"What the fuck?" Said Peter Rabbit
oh, Ira Mouse, you're so silly. have a large cookie crumb and maybe you'll feel better

fluffy dramione story told through newspaper articles
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7
this is part 8/ 10
BREAKING: Ministry of magic strongly denies rumors that Lord Voldemort had any offspring. May, 2019.
Minister felt the need to give press conference regarding rumors that Lord Voldemort, who died about 15 years ago, had a child.
“It is utter, utter nonsense,” the minister said to this newspaper, regarding rumors that started circulating last week after which no other than Bellatrix Lestrange was the mother of Voldemort’s daughter. “We are aware of a young woman claiming she is their daughter. She is being treated at St. Mungo’s as we speak”, Harry Potter, head of the Auror’s office explained. “We have protocols for these situations, and we are dealing with it accordingly. I ask everyone to think before they panic about such stories. There is just no truth to it.” This Newspaper can confirm that the young woman claiming to be Voldemort’s and Bellatrix’s child was born in 1997, when Beatrix was already in her fifties which is one of several facts that don’t add up in her story. “Voldemort was obsessed with his own immortality” a seemingly annoyed Potter told reporters at the press conference when they continued to push the issue “I am pretty sure producing an heir would contradict that.” Of course, not all children are planned – as a reporter pointed out, forcing a red-faced Potter to say “I can not believe I have to talk about this but I highly doubt that Voldemort indulged in human needs”. Understandably, Potter refused to discuss Voldemort’s sex life any further and this author has to agree with him that is highly unlikely that a Dark Wizard, with hatred for his own humanity, would enjoy having sex and accidently produce a child. It is even less likely, that he would want one.
In addition to the ministry’s strong denial, when asked about the rumors, a stunned Draco Malfoy, Bellatrix’s nephew, told a reporter “I am pretty sure I would have been aware if my aunt was pregnant, considering that she lived with us. Apart from that, if she had managed to have the Dark Lord’s child, believe me, she would have made sure every last person on this planet knew about it!”.

Young Tintin Headcanons Because I Can and I'm a Sentimental Person
Also, Tintin's mother is blind. That's my own headcanon
Tintin learnt Braille through his mother reading him Braille books while he sat on her lap. She also taught him to write formally using Braille and it's because of her that he became such a good journalist.
He loved to make paper planes and kites out of everything: newspapers, discarded letters, anything he could get his hands on. He loved to study the way birds' wings curve to catch the air and spent hours reading about how planes fly.
Every day, after school, Tintin and his mother would go to the market, buy some fruit (strawberries, oranges, apples, whatever was available) and would eat them in the park. Even when it was raining, they would eat then splash in the puddles.
Tintin's mother was kind off eccentric, but in the appreciate-the-little-things eccentric. When it stormed, she would open the windows until rain began to puddle on the floor. She would also lie in the floor a lot, either on the grass or on the carpet becay se she liked the feel of the ground below her. Tintin learnt to do the same, noticing the minutia of life that was truly special that so often gets overlooked. He loves the clouds especially.
Tintin used to ask a lot of questions (and then follow up with "why?" 5 times.) His mother never grew bored of it and always answered to the best of her ability. When she didn't know something, they would go to the library and Tintin would read aloud to her what he found.
One of Tintin's friends went to America and bought back "The Wizard of Oz" soundtrack on a record for him. His favourite song was "Over the Rainbow", but it wasn't until after the war that generalised just how sad the song was.
Tintin's hair started off a really warm, golden blond that had a couple of copper streaks when the light hit it. As he got older, his hair got darker until it grew into a solid ginger hue.
Museums. Enough said. Entire days spent wandering around, exploring the artifacts and paintings. Art museums, Natura history, modern history, science, anything. If it was a museum, Tintin had been at least once.
Tintin grew to really appreciate music. He had piano lessons, but stopped due to money and a certain war and never picked it back up again, but he loved listening to music on the radio or gramaphone, either dancing or lying on the floor staring at the ceiling. He especially loved Debussy and other impressionist musicians.
One of the reasons Tintin is such a phenomenal writer is because he became accustomed to describing the world around him and the little things happening to his mother. Describing without relying of visual explanations was difficult, but he managed to convey that sunshine was like fresh bread.
He read many classics, such as Tolkien, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Beatrix Potter, A A Milne, Mary Poppins, A Little Prince, etc. He was a very well-educated boy, despite hating school because everyone there were bullies and also he got bored very quickly writing simple sentences over and over again.
His baby teeth were crooked: his front two teeth were larger that the rest and overlapped with the other teeth. His adult teeth do the same, but much more subtly. You only notice if you stare hard enough.
Freckles. So many. That is all. Freckles.
He loved to dance. Just waving his arms about, twirling around in the living room, moving his body in any way he could to music or even just because.
He was in the Belgian resistance (Dutch-Paris network, 20th convoy and le faux soir) but if I say any more this will become too long and you will all hate me
Remember how Haddock asked Tintin if he could fly the plane and Tintin replied with "I interviewed a pilot once?" It was more of an interrogation between a British RAF pilot who had been shot down and a determined 11 year old Belgian boy in a dark basement somewhere on Rue Franklin as the pilot waited for his escape to Switzerland. Tintin had a book on planes and pestered the pilot to teach him how to fly planes until they had regular meetups in a broken garble of French and English.

taking on @who-is-page's Folcintera Week Challenge! do note that entries most likely won't be daily, because i have Various Things wrong with me (such as Work and Chronic Sleepy) <3
🐾 What is your species? How do you experience aspects of your nonhumanity?
I’m a fisher marten, human-gem-hybrid, coyote, animal familiar, artificial mobian hedgehog, and a demon-weapon. I’m also a Storyteller archetrope, though that doesn’t totally apply here (until it does, sometimes).
Generally speaking, I experience various shifts — most commonly in the form of phantom limbs / parts (ears, tail, fur, fangs, gem, etc), envision or "self-image" shifts (tho I hesitate to call them "shifts" since I don't usually internally "see" my human-body-self, when I think about my self-image anyway), and mental / instinctual shifts — and have sort-of-memories, as well as noemata. All of this is physiological & neurologically based (though, my Shadow fictotype was just kind of... dropped into my lap, uninvited, and I've simply been Shadow The Goddamn Hedgehog ever since), with a very "narrative" framework to a lot of it.
When it comes to my animality specifically, I experience it in possibly a very niche way. I do have very “usual” experiences of beastly shifts, instincts, etc, but I’m not just restricted to four legs. I’m kind of like those queer little animals in Beatrix Potter’s books, Little Bear, or RedWall — I’m a creature straight out of a beast fable. Kind of furry adjacent, but also Pretty Much A Furry in a very nonhuman way. It kind of melds into very human activities. Unnoticeable unless I become aware of it, because it’s become almost background-noise levels of normalized to me. I almost always have some phantom animal part, be it ears, a tail, quills, fangs, pawpads, claws. It's more noticeable to not have these shifts.
My animal familiar-ness is still something I have yet to delve deeper into, as this is a concept that requires connection to another; lending one’s self to help someone you’re bonded to. Admittedly, I haven’t had the chance to explore it yet, but I do know that it’s affected by all manner of its depiction and origins. Be that daemons from His Dark Materials, or palismen from the Owl House, each iteration of the “magical animal companion” feels like me. It also bleeds into dragon-rider bonds, and heavily affects how I experience that genre, or stories that have this as a trope or character. Rather than relating to the (usually always human/humanoid) rider, I find myself in the shoes (or, more aptly, the scales) of the ridden dragon.
Being Steven Universe is an experience I’m not sure I can articulate properly in a few sentences, other than... that is who I am. I am Steven in the most mundane, everyday ways possible. Being Steven is also the closest to being internally human that I'm ever going to get, and even that never feels like "human from this earth." I am Steven in the way I have endless optimism, in the way I always want to help and fix others’ problems (even if I can’t, and even if it’s detrimental to my own mental health), and in the way that I have Goddamn Mommy Issues. Again (which is only partially a joke). I may not be Steven-From-The-Show or Steven-From-The-Light-Games, but that's also me. Even some fanfiction iterations are me, which is something of an entirely separate essay in itself.
The demon-weapon thing is... well, saying it (simply) “feels good to identify as something that can turn into a weapon” seems... kind of surface level, but, it’s what I experience. There are days where it feels like I should be able to flex some unseen muscle, something under the surface, and have my arm become a blade, or to be able to morph completely into a scythe or sword. That I should be able to resonate my very soul with the one(s) closest to me, so that they could literally wield me as the weapon I was meant to be. It’s something I know will never be a reality, but that it should.
And... being Shadow the Hedgehog means experiencing a gut wrenchingly regretful nostalgia for a sister I never had & couldn’t save. It means having quill shifts out of nowhere, sometimes over top other phantom shifts, and having something to attribute my memory gaps to (even though I know they’re because of the auDHD, & not caused by this fictotype. Sometimes to get mentally well you have to be a little mentally unwell). It means embracing not knowing who I am, and forging ahead anyway.
