Once Danny was an adult, he decided to join Ellie in her ‘permanent world tour’. It’s better than staying in Amity where the opinion of Phantom hasn’t gotten much better. Besides, the portal caused the veil to get weaker, allow ghost to wreak havoc where ever they want.

He’s met a lot new ghost cause of this too. Old as Mycenaean Greece to non humans who came to Earth and died there. Danny’s learnt so much from them that he’s basically a walking in Encyclopaedia.

So, Danny’s decided “fuck it.” and has it became a part-time history teacher. It’s fun! He knows the details by heart and is able to make it more fun than just droning on about the same old wars and whatever. He enjoys it, the kids enjoy it and the ghosts having their stories told!

Of course, this does cause some problems when people try to correct him. Danny’s argument? “I got them correct sources.”

And when anyone asks him how knows his sources are correct? “My source was there when it happened.”

Cue the dc world thinking that Danny’s just some immortal guy whose decided to use his immortality for good(TM)

It's not like the stars are going anywhere after all.#And when he's in yiling...well he has far to much to do inside his cave or on night hunts to look up at the boring dots.#He's a moon guy - but only so far as 'is the moon phase bright enough to read under tonight? is is dark enough to sneak around?'#It's probably only after the end of untangling the web of secrets and murders in his second life -#-that he realizes the beauty in just...taking a moment and taking in the sky with someone by your side.#Luckily for him the high altitude and cold air of a certain cloud recess makes for excellent start gazing conditions.#Wen Qing would be in the know on what the constellations are. Almost entirely because Wen Ning kept asking her.#As an older sibling you can A) Lie or B) Delve deep into research to claim your throne of 'the knower'.#I have knowledge about many things because I craved being 'the knower' as a youth. I think one of my favorite little details about spike's character is how he treated drusilla. he wasn't just "patient" with her disability, he actively treated it as just another thing about her to love. he verry rarely coddled her or tried to get her to be more present in a situation when she wasn't capable. (I can't think of a single time that he did but i feel like there were some when he was already upset at other people?). he learned to understand what she was saying even when it sounded like nonsense. when she was upset he comforted her, no matter how often it happened. when she started dancing he danced with her.

and we see in buffy 5x20 that it wasn't just his love for dru that made him act like that. when tara was incoherent and opened the window in the van, he didn't just immediately forgive her for burning him, he never got upset in the first place. he yelled, of course, because he was hurt, but as soon as willow started apologizing and trying to explain he just nodded. because it's no biggie! he already understands. some people are just like that, and he doesn't see accommodating that as the big deal that the people around him are making it out to be.

#I've just been thinking about this a lot #it's such a small trait but it's consistent and I love it so much #i find it interesting when people call him a sociopath because I think it's clear that he always cared about people.#like he changed when he died. obviously. he lost his soul and killed for fun. but I think it was less of a complete disregard for people #and more of just making the very best of what he had to do.#it's even obvious when he tells buffy about the slayers that he killed.#it was a sport. he was hunting and having fun. but he was also thinking about their experiences #because every slayer has a deathwish! his actions weren't noble in any way but it's like he was trying to justify them to himself #even when he was supposedly a cold blooded killer with no empathy.#losing his soul didn't stop him from being the sensitive loser poet. he had to purposefully beat that out of himself #and thats why he didn't need a soul to start his whole redemption arc. it was all there already.#that got so off topic but whatever. all of it evidenced by the fact that he was so good at accommodating people #thank you and good night #spike btvs #hey this animal can talk

Design Notes for PJ:

-Error patches up the tears on his scarf! Very nice of him to do.

-All the art materials he has stashed on his belt are for food. He likes to snack on em often.

-Because of Error's..."tolerance" of him, he has more strings that he can use. He's got enough to form legs.

-Fresh gifts him magical ink durable Heely shoes! Instead of shedding footprints all over the place, he can instead heely/skate around and leave behind lines. He's creative on using it during battles. He would never admit it, but he appreciates the gift.

Design Notes for Gradient:

-I based his outfit off ye old web aesthetics like Cyber Grunge,,, I really liked the big pants look on him.

-I placed his scarf on his neck to match with his family, but also to match Template's scarf hehe, a little sign of his influence.

-You can't see it but his laptop bag has a ton of pins and merch of random dated internet references.

-His shoes looking old design Ink's shoes were complete accident but I liked it enough to keep anyway. Maybe Ink gave it to him and he spiced it up!
