The Locket - A Supernatural Lark/Terry AU

Bringing out a brand new au for Halloween week Day 3 Werewolves! Summary:

After his father is murdered by an elusive vampire, a young adult Terry--raised a wizard--jumps straight into the life of a monster hunter. He charges and stumbles through his quest for both vengeance and closure... And meets a brash, rather rude, and... ruggedly charming werewolf along the way. The two team up after several run-ins and a realization that their families seem to be connected to each other and that vampire. Connected by what? On the day of his dad's death, both he and his mother noticed Terry Sr's locket necklace had been stolen. Ripped from his neck.. A special engraved and enchanted locket that looks exactly like the one Lark wears around his neck! ---- This AU is still in progress but here's three sections of it so far (below the cut) :D

Beginnings Born to two wizards, a Mr. and Mrs. Stevens, Terry Jr was living an average, pleasantly magical life and looking forward to helping out with his family's shop when he got older... Until tragedy struck a few months after his 20th birthday, leaving only his grieving mother, himself, and the all too quiet Terry Sr. resting in a coffin...not a drop of blood or life in him. A vampire had come for him while he was at the shop. One folks knew, but no one dare speak about. Even to a son that had just lost his dad. Instead of continuing his studies to prepare to take over the shop, Terry impulsively becomes a monster hunter instead. The kind of person he'd only read about in stories before. He dedicates much time traveling during the day, for supplies and info. But switching from scholar to hunter in search a short amount of time was no easy task. It was hard to keep up with every little detail on what being may be weak to what ingredient or material. And that's trouble leads him to his first encounter with a certain wolf in the nearby forest. ----

First Meeting Terry gets into an argument with his mother. She is worried but he feels like giving up the search would be giving up on his dad altogether. He rushes out at night to clear his head and has forgotten its a full moon. The young man accidently interrupts hunting time--and ends up being chased away. When only one wolf keeps up with him the further he goes, he tries to confront the beast. Coming to a full-stop and tossing a ball of garlic at its howling mouth-- Only for the werewolf to pause and then gulp the ingredient down. Shit, right, werewolf goes with silver not garlic. Terry expects the being to lunge, but instead the creature staring back at him somehow has this vibe that it's smirking at him, Laughing. He glares, ears flushed and runs off while the wolf is still in a good mood. ---

"Huh, you're shorter than I expected." Basically, the two keep running into each other but only when Lark's in wolf or the stronger/ferocious werewolf form. They've exchanged names via speech (Terry) and written (Lark). The two bicker at times and find a friend in each other other times. Lark's mostly stuck around due to amusement and that Terry...seems so knowledgeable and passionate. Just not about the monster hunter stuff that he seems to be so set on right now. (He sees a bit of himself in that same situation...) Anyways, Lark's family always hunts far from their home as a safety precaution. So, Terry's never been over in that town where Lark's living his daily life. Until this point in the au, where Terry Jr's come to town to get some ingredients for his mom from the Oak-Garcia farm. He meets Sparrow first--friendly, polite, an eerie glint in their eyes. The wolf ears do distract from that though. It seems the family were some kind of werewolves. As weary as he was, he trusted his mom's judgment. The purchasing goes well and right after he uses a transport spell to zap the stuff to his mom's front door... Another man is suddenly holding him up by the collar. With a near similar face to the polite person from earlier. Bright green eyes, furrowed eyebrows, and flared wolf ears. The features seemed familiar in away Sparrow's had not. "What are you--Did you follow me here? You've never done that before...should have never trusted a wizard." "...Lark, is that really you? " "Why are you acting like you don't know, Terry? How are you here if you don't--" "Huh, hm...h-huh, with you holding me up this high...I can see you're shorter than I expected?" Lark lets him down after that, probably saying 'yeah, bet I'm a lot stronger too' with a grumble and a tail wag which Terry would say is cute but he's not testing his luck further that day haha Both talk a little to reach an understanding that Terry's there by coincidence and not out of malice. This is hinted to have happened to this oak-garcia family before. With the scar on Lark's right cheek and one on Sparrow's left hand etc ...To be continued!

Asjlkhdkgkd I'm so glad you liked it!! I had fun putting a little story into that one ^^

And, because I am normal and don't think about these guys for hours every day, here's some backstory:

When Cross first joined, Killer actually took to him pretty quickly (Dust and Horror did not get warm welcomes). Which is to say he immediately started flocking to Cross to annoy him and compete with him on missions. Cross didn't have the benefit of knowing Killer already to see these were affectionate annoyances, so to him Killer was just some guy who had a problem and wouldn't leave him alone.

During that mission, Nightmare was calling a retreat when he put a hand to his chest and realised the heart locket was gone. Killer saw him looking all around frantically and had a good idea what was lost, since it was the one thing Cross would absolutely not part with since he joined. So, Killer ran back out towards the stars to look for it, because why learn self preservation now. It was the first thing to convince Cross that Killer actually was being (relatively) friendly, despite all the annoyances.

Hello hello everyone!! Long time no see :) I've had this frans in my head for YEARS...I started the character design sheet last year (or was it two years ago?) but recently decided to get off my ass and finish it! So here's a product of hard, August work!

I'm kinda sad to see so many of my frans peers gone, but I hope they're doing well! While I probably won't be some huge online presence going forwards, I'm still excited to support the new gen while I can!

ANYWAYS!! This is my interpretation of HT frans! (og creator @/horrortalecomic) that takes place around a decade after Frisk's escape from the underground. Their life kinda goes downhill fast though, as the combined survivor's guilt, insane trauma after battling the horror known as Omega Flowey, and the sheer lack of a support system just kinda destroys them in that period of time. I won't dwell too much on that time period, though! After moving away from the og Mt. Ebbot city, Frisk gets their fresh start, regularly going to therapy, taking their PTSD meds, managing a pretty popular bookshop downtown, and living with their super supportive roomates!

...And then the monsters are freed, which does throw Frisk into a whirlwind, but after a year or two they feel pretty safe. No monsters seemed to have moved to their city (especially since the monster population is significantly smaller than it was before), so everything would be okay. Until that fateful day...

here they are! fyi frisk's skin, eye and hair colour (except for the blonde streaks) apply to all my frisks now!

I'll add some info here i couldn't fit in the tags! -> They have a fun coworker dynamic where Frisk does NOT know he doesn't remember them so they're constantly walking on eggshells around him.

-> Frisk: Oh god he's after me he followed me for revenge but I deserve it oh god he's so mad at me

-> Sans: wow my manager is so kind and pretty and fun :)

-> Also sans is going to therapy, specifically to treat his memory problems,, so we don't know how long his positive view of Frisk will last...

Im still thinking about Chara possibly having given killer the locket before and what that could mean especially across killers stages

would be interesting to hear how yall think the chara in killers head effects him and his life, especially when he’s trying to get better and especially in therapy if yall have any ideas.

that's a big bulk of pictures but I had so many ideas to draw that I literally had to stop myself from drawing too much lol

had so much fun stylizing them (if that's okay ^^') and thinking of their different dynamics ur ink is especially fun to draw they're so cool...

drawing ur designs also made me notice a bunch of different little details like nightmare having his little gang's souls on his chest, of the lines on dream's and nightmare's faces, or ink's flowy scarf and a bunch of other stuff. and these little details make me appreciate them even more :}}}

He followed James through the wooden entrance doors and then left down the steps towards the dungeons. He kept close to James and tried to match his footsteps, so the echoing corridors didn’t give him away. 

They stopped before the blank expanse of wall that served as the secret entrance to the Slytherin dorms.

“Oxyuranus microlepidotus,” James recited, and the wall began to shudder. A door with intricate silver filigree adorning it appeared in the previously empty wall. James hesitantly reached for the handle and swung it open. 

The Slytherin Common room was exactly as he remembered it. Dark, with black leather chairs and sofas, sparsely illuminated by a few candles dotted about, helped by the small amount of light that drifted in through the waters of the black lake, but right now, with it being dark outside, the windows that made up the far wall were as dark and cold as obsidian. 

“Hi, erm, Mr Slytherin sir,” Regulus’s head snapped in the direction of James’s voice. He’d moved to stand in front of the portrait and was trying to get its attention. “Hi, sorry, I was wondering if I could ask you a couple of questions?” James continued. Salazar ignored him, looking out of the side of the frame away from James. Regulus felt a surge of anger swell in his stomach. He ripped the cloak off and stormed across the Common room. 

“Oh, it’s you,” Salazar sneered as Regulus came to a stop beside James. 

“Oh, he talks,” Regulus shot back rudely, balling his hands into fists. 

“I do to students I recognise. This one I do not.” Salazar peered closely at James. “He looks decidedly Gryffindor to me,” 

“James Potter, a pleasure to meet you, sir,” James forced a smile on his face and Regulus caught the jerky movement of his arm, realising James had been about to offer his hand to the painting. 

“Hmmm,” Salazar replied. “And why are you darkening our doors again, Mr Black?” Regulus rolled his eyes before retrieving the locket from his pocket. 

“Look familiar?” He said, letting it swing to and fro on its chain. 

Salazar lunged out of his chair and got as close to them as the confines of his canvas would allow. 

“Where did you get that?!” He spluttered. 

“In a god-awful cave surrounded by inferi,” Regulus answered, letting the locket rest in the flat of his hand, the chain pooling around it.  

“It is wrong,” Salazar murmured, as he moved his head trying to get a better look. Regulus took a step towards him, holding it aloft. "What has been done to my locket?" He furrowed his brow as he continued to examine it.  

“We believe that a man who calls himself Lord Voldemort has turned it into a Horcrux,” Regulus told him.

“OUTRAGEOUS!!!” The portrait bellowed, the frame around it coming away from the wall with the force of his emotion. “HOW DARE HE!!! THAT DESPICABLE EXCUSE FOR AN HEIR!!!” Salazar paced around his small area, his snake coiling itself under his ornate chair to avoid his stomping feet. “Curse that Tom Riddle!” Salazar continued his tirade. He spun to look at them again. “What do you need?” He asked with determination in his eyes.

“We need to know how to open it so we can destroy it and in turn destroy Voldemort,” Regulus told him, being totally honest. 

“Who’s Tom Riddle?” James butted in. Regulus, too, wanted to know he’d never heard that name before.

“They are one and the same,” Salazar said, sitting down in his chair, tired from his outburst, and retrieved his snake from under his chair, hissing what Regulus guessed were soothing words to it. “A childish nickname he made up for himself now his only name,” Salazar looked up from his snake. “Tom Riddle is Lord Voldemort,” Regulus and James looked at each other. This was new information. Something no one else knew. 

“Now about my locket…”

By the time Salazar had given them as much information as he could, the pinks and golds of dawn were peeking above the horizon. Regulus was exhausted, his mind swirling with too much information, and all he wanted was to slip into James’s comfy bed and snuggle into the man beside him, but first he had to follow James up to Dumbledore’s office. He yawned under the cloak as James spoke the password and followed him up the stairs behind the stone gargoyle.

“Ah, James, good morning,” Professor Dumbledore welcomed him the second they stepped into the office. “Please, sit down, we have a lot to discuss. Sherbet Lemon?”

Today, May 16th of last year, I came up with the concept of my second Magolor AU...

One from one my favorite franchises of all time. A franchise that inspired my art style, my storytelling, even a bit of my sense of humor.

This AU may not be my first in the Undertale nor Kirby department, but it is the one that got me the friends that I've made today.

So to that, I say....

[MAJOR SPOILERS FOR LIES OF P- KIND OF. ITS AN AU SO ITS MORE SPOILING THE PLOT AND CHARACTERS IN SAID PLOT]

Lies of P x Hunger Games ! au, District 3 Reaping, now with more Romeo!

Romeo proceeded to spend the rest of the train ride genuinely thinking he had gone insane.

This is a continuation of another post I did -with the district 12 reaping. To be completely honest, it's Romeo who makes this au interesting, it always is. I mean P is interesting, but Romeo is where most the plot is.

ANYWAY! Something important to know in this au is that Krat is not the capitol, but rather a part of district 3 that managed to push itself to an economic boom through it's own automation (puppets). The capitol didn't want Krat to have the power it gained, but it couldn't do anything about it, because the developers of the technology (namely Geppetto) refused to show how to make the puppets to anyone outside of Krat, while also establishing a monopoly of puppets. There was a massive desire of automation in the capitol, which led to more investment into Krat. There were attempts by the capitol to recreate it, but none succeeded, so they had no choice but to buy from Geppetto and/or Venigni.

This lead to Krat being seen as a "extended part of the capitol" as the people managed to raise their standard of living due to the reinvestments of the booming economy. The capitol knew they couldn't stop the city from growing, so they decided to block it off from the rest of district 3 and try to regain control socially. They moved in some people from the capitol -trying to establish an upper class, while also trying to get the people of the capitol to see Krat kinda like a vacation area. By cutting it off, they managed to make sure District 3 could not overthrow the capitol through Krat, even if many in Krat still despised the capitol.

However, the agreement was that all of Krat's population would be excluded from the Hunger Games, so there wasn't much fuss from the people.

But then the puppet frenzy happened. And Krat swiftly fell, with very few actually making it out, Romeo being one of them. All puppets became hostile, even ones in the capitol (although few). The capitol saw a scape-goat and they took it. Geppetto was vilified, blamed as the cause of all this destruction -but he disappeared before the capitol could get him. They assumed he had been killed.

Venigni was an unique case. Yes, he did make many puppets, however he focused much more on quality of life advancements, rather than complete automation. When the frenzy occurred, he was on the front lines trying to stop the disaster, as futile as it was. But he was also incredibly rich -even to capitol standards- so when the people of Krat could finally leave, Venigni managed to buy his way into the capitol, where he was warmly welcomed by many fans of his.

That year of the puppet frenzy, the Hunger Games were cancelled. They couldn't go ahead with the puppets at the capitol causing a (admittedly small) crisis. The next year they did go ahead like normal, but many of the survivors of Krat were still unaccounted for and lost, so were not legally obligated to attend.

It was two years after the puppet frenzy when Romeo could attend the reaping, and made his decision to partake in Carlo's stead. Little did he know of a certain mischievous puppet who wasn't doing as he was told.
