There are two Riddlers
There are two Riddlers facing off Batman, Robin, and Red Robin near City Hall. We're not sure where the second one came from but he looks like Bane if he was small, sopping wet, and wearing a sad trenchcoat. We can also tell which one is OUR Riddler because OUR Riddler hasn't killed anyone in almost a year and we're very proud of him. OTHER Riddler just shot at least three people.
Our Riddler is sitting off to the side with Red Robin and they seem to be playing puzzle games on Red Robin's tablet. Other Riddler is fighting Batman and Robin and seems surprised that Robin either exists or has a sword.

Is the rat the bat? The Batman Riddle Answered
Tumblr media
“A rat with wings” sounds a lot like a bat to me. “Something in the way” or in this case is it more like “Something in the Wayne.” Is the choice of song telling us that the Wayne’s are in the way of truly cleaning up the city of Gotham?
Listen to article audio or continue to read below. https://on.soundcloud.com/aJaGf4f4AWxWAMtBA
The Batman is a detective noir and viewers follow the Batman as he attempts to solve the Riddler’s clues and uncover the true meaning of his Riddle. The only problem is Batman is an unreliable narrator. We only see the events in the movie from Batman’s point of view. This can lead to us being just as blind as he is when trying to understand the purpose of the Riddler’s actions and makes it impossible to see Batman’s actions objectively.
Batman could not solve the true Riddle: The rat is the bat! Maybe because he doesn’t want to solve Gotham’s issues! In the movie he is led on a wild goose chase to the next location of where the Riddler will be torturing the next corrupt city official. Wayne has Alfred giving him theories and is misled into a bad interpretation of Spanish that even a second grader would not make. In the movie the riddles only lead him to each "crime” scene. The riddles have already been answered, the Riddler is after the politicians and police who were complicit in crimes aiding Carmine Falcone. In this article, I will disclose the truth of the Riddler’s broader message.
On the surface, it is obvious that Gotham is a dangerous and dirty city. It’s not just the streets nor the drug addicts. Oh no, the dirt and grime go so much deeper than that. The city is so drenched in crime and corruption that it’s not only reached the depths of the mafia underworld but it’s also reached the heights of high society; including the honorable Wayne family and the supposed heroes, the police and the politicians.
The Riddler looks up to Batman as an example of someone who is willing to stand up and do something to improve the city of Gotham. The promises of “renewal” have been thrown around for the past twenty years by politicians looking to get reelected, in truth the renewal fund was drained the day it was donated by the Wayne foundation. The Riddler leads Batman to the truth so the citizens can see what kind of people are actually in control of the city. Members of the police and the politicians attacked the one billion dollar renewal fund like vultures until nothing was left for the people it was originally supposed to help. Perhaps the phrases: misappropriated funds, mismanagement, or embezzlement ring any bells? The mayor pretends to have the city’s best interests at heart, the Riddler seeks to expose the city’s trusted officials true colors to everyone. The citizens have already had their cities’ prosperity stolen from them, don’t they at least deserve the truth?
Edward Nashton has all the necessary experience and raw talent to solve the mystery behind the city’s inexplicable poverty and flourishing criminal activity. The experience of growing up as an orphan gave Edward boots on the ground experience of what life is really like in Gotham for the commoners. Something the grossly wealthy elite such as the Wayne’s could not even begin to grasp. While the politicians only pretend to empathize with its citizen’s woes. This is why the Riddler has loyal followers on the internet.
I have conducted a Cole Sprouse-esque social experimental on Tumblr in the form of a poll. I wanted to see who the people would vote for, the Batman or the Riddler. To my suprise Riddler won there as well. The evidence may be from a small pool but i still think it holds up.
Tumblr media
The people have spoken and they relate to the Riddler because he understands the real struggles people are faced with in Gotham. If the elections weren’t just a dog and pony show by the elite, then Edward Nashton would be voted mayor of Gotham.
Tumblr media
“Since your justice is so select, please tell us, which vermin you’re paid to protect?” -The Riddler.
Being an accountant gave him the tools to analyze the city’s budget and dissect the actual usage of that money down to the last cent. As it turns out, the city officials are either asleep at the wheel or are fully aware of the harm they are inflicting.
“Tomorrow’s Election Day, and Bella Reál’s gonna win. She’s promised "real change”. But we know the truth, don’t we? You’ve seen Gotham’s true face now. Together, we’ve unmasked it. Its corruption, its perversion, masquerading under the guise of renewal. But unmasking is not enough. The day of judgment is finally upon us. And now it is time for retribution.“ -The Riddler.
Since the city officials have long since turned against its citizens for profit, then it was time the Riddler redirect that violence straight to the culprits themselves, powerful old money wealth such as the Waynes, the police, the politicians, everyone involved in sucking the life out of Gotham like parasites.
It is interesting that Batman was more interested in stopping petty crimes such as thugs and dropheads of the streets, than taking down mob bosses like Salvatore Maroni or Carmine Falcone. If Batman did investigations into Falcone he would have found that Falcone has been running the city for the past twenty years and he might as well be the mayor of Gotham. How can such an obvious fact be hidden from Batman? He has more than enough time, money, resources and willpower to discover the true criminals in Gotham and stop the majority of its crime.
Tumblr media
Who is Batman really? Who acts like a double agent, wearing one disguise of Bruce Wayne and another disguise of vigilante Batman? Carefully walking the tightrope between the law and criminality. Who is making under the table deals with the mob and the police? Batman is the rat. He takes information from the mob and rats them out to the police. He uses information from the police to aid his personal vendettas. Batman doesn’t listen to the police, he makes his own rules. Batman is the very definition of a rat. A rat is a dirty beast with the wings of an angel. Batman suits this analogy well. He is something monstrous wearing the mask or in this case the wings of an angel. Batman is not the good guy, like the Penguin, he is a proprietor. Batman is doing business like anyone else. He is not doing some random acts of kindness. Batman is a sole proprietor, he works by himself for himself. He interacts with others for help but ultimately he works for his own agenda.
The Riddler knew Bruce Wayne was the problem. What he didn’t know was that Batman and Bruce Wayne are the same person. If the Riddler knew that fact he would not respect or admire Batman at all. Bruce Wayne has the influence needed to impact those in power and more than enough money to help the city of Gotham.
The late Thomas Wayne attempted to use his spare change of ONE BILLION DOLLARS to aid the city, but to no avail. In the end, the family image was placed above charity. Thomas Wayne chose to do business with criminals.
https://youtu.be/gRjG7pp-sAc
“Giving back is not just an obligation, it’s a passion.” -Thomas Wayne in his mayoral campaign.
Tumblr media
Unlike his father, Bruce Wayne doesn’t seem to be doing any philanthropy with his inherited Wayne fortune. Does this mean that there is something or someone stopping him from doing so? Bruce Wayne has no intention to truly solve the problem with Gotham but would rather treat the symptoms of the cause but not solve the real issue. The Riddler is not offering any answers but only leading people to the truth. Could Batman be hiding the truth that he is the problem with Gotham, or at least a big part of it? The problem with Gotham can be narrowed down to a few big factors; corruption of public officials, underworld crime, and extreme wealth imbalance. The Wayne’s have a finger in all three of these contributing factors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Batman and the Riddler want to help the city of Gotham but who is more unbiased in their position? Edward Nashton has nothing to gain and nothing to protect. Bruce Wayne has his family name to protect, which offers him a special place at the top of high society and he has his cushy wealth that keeps him more than comfortable. Despite what he may say, he has the power to use his powers as a Wayne and the Batman to ensure the city stays the way that it is, so that he can continue to benefit from a life that is built on the misery and ignorance of the poor people of Gotham.
Batman chooses to use violence to beat up petty criminals. The same criminals who his Wayne family wealth subjugates.
The Riddler is inspired by Batman to use violence to punish the white collar criminals that no one else can, due to their untouchable elite status.
Tumblr media
The Riddler makes a bigger difference than Batman because he is directly targeting the criminals who are making life a living hell for everyone in Gotham, including the criminals Batman is beating up on. The Riddler knows that the petty criminals of Gotham are just a symptom of the whales with all the power, money and prestige. The elite think that they won’t be held accountable because they are upheld highly in the media. The elite own the media and can get the public to believe any story they want. The Riddler uses the same media that the elite weaponized, to expose them for who they really are by unmasking the slimy public officials. The people of Gotham have been brainwashed into a stockholm syndrome scenario where they worship and vote for the people that couldn’t care any less about them. Batman works with the corrupt police to protect his own interest. Everyone in Gotham with power or money has a grubby hand reaching out for their slice of the pie. The public is entirely ignorant of this hidden business world that lies behind the veil of politics and public displays of false philanthropy.
The Riddler is the hero of the people while Batman is the protector of the elite.
Edward Nashton is a lower class commoner who fights for the basic human rights of the common people. Human rights such as clean food and water, a warm roof over the heads of babies, and living quarters for orphan’s without the presence of vermin.
Bruce Wayne is an upper class elite who protects the business interests of the elite. Business interests such as mayoral campaigns, police interests, and any threats to the well being of corrupt politicians.
This is a villain’s view of "The Batman” 2022 movie. Do you have a film theory of “The Batman?” You can submit your theories on the Villainism Tumblr page.

Just finished Batman: Hush the animated movie. What are your thoughts on it?
Alright, everyone. Here we go:
Batman: Hush Movie Full review
To begin, as I’ve stated here previously, Batman: Hush is a very important story to me. It was the first Batman comic that I ever read many years ago. In the sixteen years since its original publication it has undergone at least nine different editions and is still one of the most recommended and critically praised Batman stories of the modern era. It was the starting point for many people in the Batman fandom, and I still believe that it is the most pinnacle story regarding Batman and Catwoman’s relationship. The fact that it’s still so influential, nearly twenty years later, in indicative of its importance and merit.
When DC Comics announced last summer that they were officially making Hush into an animated movie I was happy, but I cannot say that I was excited. This was due to unrelated factors that were happening simultaneous to its announcement that obliterated my faith in DC Comics as a whole. You can imagine my dismay when I learned that instead of creating a direct adaptation, in the same vein as Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns and Year One, they would be changing the story to fit in with their current New 52 inspired animated universe.
As anyone whose been following me for a while may have observed; I’m highly critical. I can usually find the good and bad in something and when I’m giving my take on things from my perspective it’s pretty fair and balanced. I was fully aware that the Hush movie made changes to the story and knew going in that I would have to temper my expectations, but I still gave it a chance.
Many will say that the film should be viewed on its own merit, and I generally tend to agree. If not held up to the book the movie is watchable and very easy to enjoy. But it’s an adaptation. An adaptation of one of the best and most popular Batman stories of all time. An ambitious and operatic year long event from Jeph Loeb, and one that I personally hold in the highest regards. Completely divorcing the movie from its source material is unfeasible.
With that said; as I review this movie I will be critiquing as loosely inspiredimagination of the Batman: Hush comic, and only making comparisons to demonstrate potential compromises of the story or the characters.
***Obvious spoilers ahead***
THE GOOD AND THE BAD
After many years of begging, pleading, rumors, and teasing the Batman: Hush animated film was finally released during SDCC weekend. The basic plot remained intact: a mysterious new villain named Hush targets Batman’s crime fighting career as well as his personal life, which is further complicated by his burgeoning romance with Catwoman. While making concessions that range from minor to pivotal the movie manages to be different while maintaining a degree of familiarity. All the most iconic scenes are there in one aspect or another, with only one notable exception; the Jason Todd graveyard scene.
There’s not much to say about the general plot. It for the most part, stays true to the essence of the story, while being different in execution. Most changes were traversable, while others were pointless and baffling. The first questionable change occurs early in the movie, when Catwoman delivers the stolen money to Poison Ivy; Ivy kisses Catwoman, which she does not reciprocate. In the original script for the book, I believe, that Ivy did kiss Catwoman, but Jeph Loeb was told by editorial to remove it, because it was “too much.”
It was clear in the comic book that Ivy was using her powers to mind-control Catwoman. In that context kissing her would have made more sense. In the movie the extent of her influence over Catwoman is unclear. It appears that she is blackmailing Catwoman. Catwoman’s coldness and irritation afterwards implies that she has maintained some degree of self-awareness. Her use of coercion rather than force renders the kiss pointless, and its intention to merely be salacious.
Other needless changes involve swapping out characters. Bane, for some reason, has taken the place of Killer Croc. Damian Wayne has taken the place of Tim Drake, and Amanda Waller makes a token appearance, but both proceed to only have one scene.
As Rick Austin from FortressofSolitude put it:
Some changes to the original story are surface-level questionable, making you wonder why they changed them at all – like substituting Killer Croc for Bane, for instance. Presumably it was done for recognition and name value, and barely has any relevance to the story. Huntress is replaced by Batgirl, probably for the similar reasons, but that’s more important and naturally means Oracle’s role in the story is gone. Slowly but surely, the small tweaks begin to have a big knock-on effect. Important lines of dialogue have been jettisoned, some elements have been removed and some characters replace others just to make this fit with other recent DC animated films.
The movie takes a more action/adventure route rather than a character driven mystery, chugging along at breakneck pace making several plot concessions along the way. What it does manage to improve from the book, as far as a Batman and Catwoman shipper can see, is it beefs up Batman and Catwoman’s ill-fated romance, by way of a montage depicting adorable, if at times out-of-character, domesticity that even involves matching his and hers robes. Its inclusion was more fan-servicey than plot driven, but the ship isn’t doing well right now so I’m not about to complain about that.
What I will complain about isn’t what was added to the romance, but what was excluded from it. The film cuts out all the most important scenes that demonstrate why the dynamics of Batman and Catwoman’s relationship works for them. Yes, we get the rooftop kiss that has graced a thousand screensavers and Batman ultimately making the decision to reveal his identity to Catwoman, but everything in service of Catwoman’s perspective are removed entirely.
The scene from the book when Catwoman admonishes Batman for saving her instead of going after the Joker after she is shot at the opera, is changed to Catwoman merely telling Batman to go after Harley Quinn.
Tumblr media
If you ever choose to rescue…me again over catching the bad guy…I swear I’ll scratch your eyes out. I’m not some kid you took in and trained.
This scene is important because this is where Catwoman affirms how she sees herself in this relationship: she is Batman’s equal and she expects– demands– that he treat her as such. These changes seem benign at first, until it becomes clear later why they were made. More on that in a bit.
The original script for Hush also included a tasteful post-coital scene that was ultimately cut by editorial. The scene makes its way back into the movie in lieu of some of the more emotionally intimate moments, like Selina dialoguing with Alfred in the bat-cave. The dialogue also fails to compensate for this. Batman and Catwoman’s pillow talk topic include how Batman used to think Catwoman was a kleptomaniac.
“You were beautiful, intelligent, and brilliant,” he tells her. “I assumed if you were stealing it was because you couldn’t control it.” I see this come up in fandom every now and again, and Catwoman cannot be a kleptomaniac because kleptomania is an impulse control disorder. Catwoman steals for profit and executes elaborate premeditated heists. I can see why other people would make that mistake, but the world’s greatest detective should have more cognizance.
Most of the changes to film are surface-level and trivial, but where the movie majorly fails is when they attempt to fix things that weren’t broken to begin with.
The most major change doesn’t occur until the final act of the movie when it is revealed that Hush is actually the Riddler. At first, I thought this was a misdirect, but no. The Riddler is really Hush and Tommy Elliot was just a plot device, and he is really dead. Like in the book, Riddler gained knowledge of Batman’s identity while in the Lazarus Pit, and decides to take revenge by going after Bruce Wayne’s friends and loved ones.
This change is nonsensical and renders Tommy Elliot’s role in the movie essential meaningless. He is a mere plot device, a shamefully underdeveloped plot device, intended to provide Batman with angst. Villains targeting Batman’s loved ones is all too familiar occurrence, but audiences barely get to know Tommy long enough understand the depths of Batman’s grief and mourning.
As I’m sure all of you are aware at this point that in the book it is revealed that Hush is Tommy Elliot. Substituting Tommy for Riddler diminishes the impact of the reveal and Hush’s motivations. Tommy, Bruce’s close childhood friend, has a personal vendetta against Bruce. He uses his friendship, familiarity, and access to Bruce Wayne to attack him both personally and as Batman. It also complicates Batman’s relationship with Hush as a villain. The Riddler being Hush is just a theatrical Gotham villain pretending to be a different theatrical Gotham villain for no reason whatsoever.
Towards the end of the movie Riddler kidnaps Catwoman and tries to kill her in an elaborate trap. Since Bruce was damseled early in the movie, I didn’t so much mind that they did the same to Catwoman. I like that Batman and Catwoman can depend on each other, and it demonstrates a degree of equality in their relationship. However, while Batman was only incidentally damseled for maybe 60 seconds, Catwoman was subtly threatened with rape for intervening on his behalf and later got the full-on woman-tied-to-railroad-tracks-treatment. Predictably Batman shows up and saves the day.
THE UGLY
Batman: Hush made several missteps that I was willing to overlook, and almost got through its entire 82-minute run time before doing the only thing that I considered truly egregious.
After the ensuing fight the building begins to collapse and Catwoman leaves Riddler to die, after Batman attempts to save him. Batman argues that they could’ve saved Riddler instead of letting him die. Catwoman becomes angry. “You’re crazy! You’re absolutely insane,” she exclaims melodramatically. Batman and Catwoman decide that their moral differences are too stark and break up, but leave the door open for the future.
This is where the movie took an unexpected turn for the worse. This is where the reason why so many changes to Catwoman’s character becomes clear.
Batman goes out as the voice of morality and looks like the hero, and Catwoman is completely thrown under the bus to make it happen.
Early in the movie during the famous battle of Metropolis when Superman is under the influence of Poison Ivy, Catwoman throws Lois Lane off a building to snap him out of the spell. Later when Superman is out of earshot Batman tells Catwoman that throwing Lois off the building was not part of the plan and that he did not approve of her methods. In the book it was Batman’s idea to throw Lois from the building. This moment frequently makes appearances on Worst-Things-Batman-Has-Ever-Done lists on comic sites.
During the opera scene Catwoman attempting to stop Batman from killing the Joker in a fit of rage was also cut. Here it was Batman who was acting morally questionable, and Catwoman was the reasonable and morally righteous one, so to speak.
These, along with Catwoman allowing Riddler to die, are intended to make Catwoman seem like she has a cursory attitude towards killing, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. All of this inevitably shifts all the blame for the relationship not working out on Catwoman. Catwoman’s flaws are irreconcilable while Batman is the blameless voice of reason. This is abominable at best, and sexist at worst.
The book ends similarly and yet profoundly different. Upon the announcement of the film some people were hoping for the ending to be changed to something presumably happier for Bruce and Selina. In the book Batman and Catwoman break up, but under much different circumstances.
I personally feel that the ending to the original was appropriate for the story. Batman sabotages their relationship pushes Catwoman away because he realized was not ready for the vulnerability required in that type of relationship, It ends  on a bittersweet note. Batman and Catwoman can have a relationship “someday.” All they need is a little more time, and it’s Batman who need to be a little bit different.
Even as things end Loeb simply and perfectly sums up why Batman and Catwoman work:
Tumblr media
We are who we are. That’s why this works.
The film makes fundamental differences, that can only be remedied by Catwoman changing herself, are the root of Batman and Catwoman’s relationship dysfunction.
The changes to Catwoman’s character occur only to justify the ending. The filmmakers went to great lengths to villainize Catwoman to make it seem like it was all her personal shortcomings that ended things instead of Batman’s to make him seem more heroic. It relegates Batman and Catwoman’s relationship  to a tool to demonstrate Batman’s inflexible moral code.
To add insult to injury, as Batman and Catwoman’s relationship comes to an end, Selina tells Bruce bitterly that she changed herself to be with him and was willing to continue changing. This robs Selina the agency of having reformed on her own, in a film that has already diminished much of her voice and independence.
It’s almost laughable that Selina once told Huntress that reforming was worthwhile, “as long as you’re doing it for yourself, and not for what someone else thinks of you,” in the same book the movie was based on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some dude (and it’s a dude; I checked) read the book, saw this panel, then decided to have her say literally the opposite. I wish I was making this up.
On its own the Batman: Hush movie is watchable. The casual viewer and batcat shippers alike can easily find something to enjoy. But watchable is a low bar to pass when based on one of the most popular Batman stories of our era. What should have been an exceptionally easy recipe for success did not exceed the bare minimum. It’s drab, bland, and dark animation style does not hold up to Jim Lee’s iconic penciling or Scott Williams’ colorful fills. The changes to the story are generally acceptable, until the final act of the movie when things go off the rails.
Ultimately the movie exceptionally fails at capturing the dynamics of Batman and Catwoman’s relationship, trading in much of the depth and intimacy for shower sex and pet names. On its own Batman: Hush stands as a mindlessly entertaining adaptation, loosely inspired by a Batman story of mystery and intrigue. Held up to the source material, it’s a pale and grotesque imitation.

I just finished season one of Batman 1966 and here are some random thoughts/comments
It took me about twenty episodes to realize it, but the way they use the Narrator (opening each episode, occasionally making comments or explaining something) in the show is similar to how The Powerpuff Girls uses its narrator. Considering that Craig McCracken was apparently inspired by the 66′ show’s villains (hence why the PPG villains are so silly and over-the-top), it wouldn’t surprise me if was inspired by the 66′ show’s use of a narrator too
I’m not really sure what the point of having Aunt Harriet around is (and yes I know she was in the comics at this time but still), though she does occasionally make me laugh with some of her reactions, plus her interactions with the rest of her family are cute. I’d be curious to see how a modern interpretation could fit her in, or if there could ever be a story where after Dick gets closure from the whole Tony Zucco murdering his parents thing, he learns he still has living family and has to decide whether to live life as a normal kid or continue being Robin. Just something to think about.
I like that the show focuses a bit more on the solving mysteries aspect of Batman. Even when you’re given an answer-reveal right away about the villain or their plan, you’re still interested in seeing how Batman and Robin figure it out.
I’ve noticed that more often than not, Robin won’t even use the doors when getting out of the Batmobile. He’ll just jump over the door or - on a couple occasions - step onto the seat, over the windshield and across the hood before hopping down. Once an acrobat always an acrobat it would seem ^v^
THE BATMOBILE KEEPS GETTING STOLEN. They only ever activated an anti-theft device once and that was in the first episode. The rest of the time, if a villain wants to, they can just steal it and it’s just hilarious to me how easy that apparently is.
Instead of your standard white gloves, the Penguin wears white gloves with fluff on the tops of them... Idk if that was the style back then or something but it’s adorable...
Whenever Robin gets kidnapped, Batman saves him. But whenever Batman/Bruce gets kidnapped, he has to save himself. I kinda wish Robin would save Batman sometimes, just to switch things up and to make Robin seem like less of a dude-in-distress, showing that he can save the day just as often as Batman. Though, interesting enough, it seems like Robin is slightly better than Batman at solving riddles in this iteration, so... he’s got that going for him at least.
Every villain seems to have their own ‘Harley Quinn’ as it were along with two or three random grunts. The ladies they have with them range from “Don’t care, I’m totally up for evil” to “airhead who’s just sorta going along because the villain is cute”, and their fate is usually getting captured and arrested with the rest of the grunts or suddenly becoming guilty and therefore getting a lighter sentence. ...Also one of them died, but it was sorta her own fault so... yeah. Also, pretty much all of them find Batman super handsome and attractive which gets kiiiinda tiring and problematic after a while...
It’s honestly a wonder no one in this show hasn’t just built up a tolerance for knock-out gas at this point. Seriously, in this universe, don’t open anything that a stranger gives you or accept flowers/an umbrella. Nine out of ten times it’s just filled with gas.
Some of the villains’ plans and death traps get surprisingly dark and sorta brutal (along with being kinda clever in a comic book-y sort of way). Like... Way more than I was expecting. And honestly, as silly as the show can be, it can still occasionally be suspenseful. ...Also Adam West fought a tiger in one episode. Like... a LEGIT TIGER. Yeah, I’m sure the tiger was well trained but that don’t mean it still couldn’t have snapped and done some damage if it was agitated enough, so the fact that it was getting so close to the actor and they were making it look like a fairly realistic fight is pretty darn impressive! (also the clip’s on youtube if anyone wants to check it out)
False Face was a stupid villain. Just sayin’. I can see why he never came back.
Pills can apparently solve everything in this universe. ...Except for surviving in below zero temps. For that you need bat-thermal underwear.
Most of the time Batman is able to get out of a trap using skills and some bat gadgets, but occasionally there are times where he’s only able to escape because of total luck. The biggest example of this is when the Joker has him and Robin in electric chairs, and literally just moments before they’re electrocuted, Gotham has a city-wide power outage and they’re saved. And like, Batman doesn’t even cause the power outage, it just happens! Though when you think about it, as silly as it is that Batman occasionally gets spared because of good luck, it’s sorta more realistic. You can’t have a contingency plan for EVERYTHING, Bruce! Also the moment that I mentioned above doesn’t even match the glory of the “Noble Porpoise” moment from the 1966 movie
I really love the dynamic (heh) between Adam West and Burt Ward. They really do play off each other well ^v^ They could’ve just phoned it in, but instead Adam reads everything like it’s freaking Shakespeare and Burt is just so full of energy. Their scenes are always the best ^v^ Though The Penguin and The Riddler’s scenes are a close second (I still may not like The Riddler as a character, but MAN is Frank Gorshin fun to watch)
Speaking of Riddler, I can’t tell if his riddles are good or bad because I suck at solving ALL riddles, lol
There’s this moment in “The Perfect Crime/Better Luck Next Time” where Catwoman’s got Robin dangling above a tiger’s pit. Robin’s response: “Catwoman... You are NOT a VERY NICE PERSON!” Just... the delivery of that line plus the fact that THAT it was apparently the best insult Robin could come up with... That one moment had me laughing the rest of the day after I saw it.
So yeah, that’s all I have. Overall while there were a couple of sorta meh episodes, most of this season was very entertaining and fun to watch, and I can’t wait to start watching season two! ^v^

Imagine trying to date as the Princess of Gotham...

-You had one short lived boyfriend at the age of 13. Neither Harley or Joker knew about him until you came home with a three day suspension and bruised knuckles.
-After explaining this all to Joker and Harley, you received a high five from your father and a laugh, which made the citizens of Gotham's blood run cold if they were to ever hear it.
-On Day two of your suspension Joker sat beside you as you watched a horror movie on the couch, your lap sat a bowl of popcorn.
"Princess, your mother would like me to have a talk with ya."
-You paused the movie and looked at him, and for the first time ever you saw all the confidence disappear in him, he was playing with his fingers, avoiding eye contact and shifting nervously in his seat.
"Daddy are you ok?"
-"Yeah Princess, ummmm your mother seems to think it is time we had... You know the talk."
-you started laughing, Joker looking at you in shock as your laugh filled the air. "Well you tell mother that the voices already explained all this to me, and I am in no need of this. Now if you excuse me, I am going to watch this guy get decapitated and feed to some cannibals." And with that you looked back towards the screen and resumed the movie.
-You didn't start dating again till you were 15.His name was Owen, he was new in town and someone failed to inform him about your origin. All of his friends were terrified too when they discovered you were his new girlfriend, but didn't have the heart to tell him that if he broke your heart they would find him in the bay the next morning.
-He knew of your father, he once spoke of him negatively with you after hearing that Joker stole a valuable tiara (which at that moment was sitting in your room). You immediately told him to change the topic.
-After that you invited him for dinner, which he was ecstatic for. He arrived at your condo early, and was greeted by you. His blood ran cold when he saw you.
-"Hello lover. " you hissed. Your frame was barely covered by a seductive red dress, you wore four inch, black heels with the words 'HA' printed all over them. Your hair was in an updo, and on it you wore the stolen tiara. In your hands you held a knife, the words 'Daddy's little princess' engraved on the blade.
-"So nice of you to come to dinner." You smiled an evil grin with your red lips, and that was the last thing he saw before everything went black.

-When he finally came too he noticed that he was tied to a chair, a nice plate of food set before him, the smell was intoxicating. When he started to lift his head he looked upon you, a smile on your face as you brought your wine glass to your lips.
-”Oh Puddin, look who finally woke up, sorry doll too for the bump on the back of your head.” Harley’s voice bellowed as he turned towards her, unaware who she was talking too, but it was clear she was the one who knocked him out, since her bat sat on the table in front of her plate.
-”I was starting to think he went night night. Didn’t you Daddy?” Your eyes looked towards the right, and Owen slowly turned his head to follow your eyes.
-you giggled when you saw all the color leave his face, “Oh Owen, did I forget to mention my parents are the king and queen of Gotham?” Joker smiled at him as Owen struggled to get free.
-”Now My lovely family is so glad you could join us.” Joker started as you rose from the table and rounded it towards Owen, plopping yourself upon him to stop him from struggling. “However I must say, my little princess told me what you said about me, and I gotta say, I...Don’t...Like...You, and neither does my princess. You really hurt her feelings when you started talking shit. So now we got a problem, cause no one hurts my princess.”
-You ran your hand down the side of his face, and down his chest as Joker got closer to him, your hand resting over his heart, feeling it quicken. “Ask him what he is gonna do to ya?” You whispered in his ear, before nibbling his lobe in between your teeth.
-”Do what she asked.” Joker hissed, bending over in front of him, after several seconds of silence.
-“What are you gonna do to me?” His voice shook slightly as you slowly rose from his lap and walked towards Harley.
-”I’m just gonna hurt you....really......really.... bad.” He hissed before slowly rising and snapping his fingers, causing his goons to come in and carry the chair away. Joker not far behind.
-”Come on baby, let’s go get you to forget about whose his name.” Harley proclaimed upon the door slamming behind your father.
“Who?” You smiled, as she took you to the shared room, where Harley starts to dye your hair a nice purple color with pink highlights.
-You never saw Owen again, rumor was he told his parents he got mugged, and they up and moved away.

-”Mommy, why is it that boys don’t like me?” You asked when you were 16        “Well baby, people are scared of me and Puddin, so because of us, they are scared of ya.”
-”Well that is ridiculous, you two wouldn’t hurt someone I love right?”
“Oh course not Baby.” She answered as she pushed a strand of your hair behind your ear.
-It was when you became the new villain of Gotham that you got your next boyfriend. You both met when you were robbing the same bank, he crashed in on your stick up.
-”Oh you have got to be Shitting me!” You screamed when he crashed through the glass ceiling, your duel pistols pointed at the tellers as you screamed.
“So you are the one they called the Princess of the night?” He hissed as he approached you slowly.
-”You know something, find your own bank.” You snapped as he laughed slightly.
- “You remind me something.” He answered, his head rested on your shoulder as either hand took your waist, “ What do you call a princess that doesn't want to be disturbed?”
-”Let me guess Riddle boy, a Slapping Princess?” You replied before firing one gun, dropping it, reaching around, slapping him, and then firing the other gun. You signaled your goons to collect the money and then shot the other three hostages, “And now because of your silly games and interruption, I now have to somehow dispose of five bodies.”
“Well please Princess, let me make it up to you, I heard Bruce Wayne is out of town, want to rob the enterprise?”  You smiled at the offer, and quickly accepted his hand as you instructed your goons to go to the hid out.
-It took a while but after your fourth shared heist, Riddler finally asked you out. You said you would only accept if he told you who he was. That night you found out that you were falling in love with Edward Nygma, and he recognized you as Harley and Joker’s daughter. And he wasn’t afraid.

-You tried to hid it from your parents for as long as possible, especially considering that Edward worked. However like everything they found out.
-”PRINCESS!” Joker screamed when he walked into the condo, his eyes burning with rage as you looked up from the phone you held, half way through texting Edward.
-”In here Daddy.” You called, he stormed in and before you could ask his what was wrong he outburst, “Care to tell me why it is that while I was waiting for Batman, I saw you walk out hand in hand with Edward?” He snapped, horror taking over your face.
“Daddy I can explain...” However the rest of your words were lost behind the sound of skin meeting skin.
“HOW DARE YOU PUT YOURSELF IN JEPORDY LIKE THAT! HOW DARE YOU PUT OUR FAMILY AT RISK!” He screamed as you held the reddening skin of your cheek, tears streaming down your face. Harley walked in just in time to see this, her own shrill voice entering the room, “JOKER! I know you didn’t just hit our only daughter!”
-This lead to them both arguing/ destroying the condo, they were so involved in their own bickering that neither one noticed that you had thrown some shit in a duffle bag and ran out the door, the whole right side of your face red.
-Joker left shortly after you, going the opposite direction of you as he stormed from the house, Harley crying as she put her hand on your doorknob, however when she opened it..... you were gone.
-She called Joker in a panic, telling him you ran away. He then spent all night looking for you, however he failed.
-This lead to more fighting, more crime sprees, and more murder. Harley began heavily drinking as well, while Joker avoided home. He couldn’t bear to even look at Harley, or his home, since the feeling of guilt was eating him alive.
