asking about so mordor it is during 24/7 hype is like asking the teacher if thereās hw at the end of class HAHA
nooooo never!!! mordor is my baby
i will be honest ā iāve been avoiding asks about it due to a few unkind ones iāve gotten recently where people havenāt been theā¦ nicest in the way they expressed wanting an update (but most of you are lovely who ask!! even simple āhey howās mordor goingā is welcome <3). i just havenāt known how to respond i guess.
the short answer is: itās going! i wish i could give a more definitive answer regarding the next update because i love writing that fic very dearly, but iāve just worked the last few days and havenāt gotten the chance to sit down and finish the final scene for the next chapter. š
the longer answer, which itās not specifically you that has mentioned this nonnie, but others, is that my process with mordor just takes longer than 24. itās more involved. when i say iām working on mordor, it means i am rewatching the show, i am meticulously researching, i am rereading shire and going over my plot specifically for mordor. itās just a lot more brain power required, which i fully brought upon myself and donāt mind because like i said, i love this fic and getting to write it and share it with you all!! it just means thereās a lot more happening behind the scenes with it on my end. i know it may not seem that way to all of you (as some people have expressed), and i know that maybe some donāt find the writing reflecting all that effort/being up to par, but at the end of the dayā¦ iām trying my best and iām most worried with my enjoyment. if iām not enjoying it anymore, then itāll show in the writing, and that justā¦ isnāt what i want for my fic, yāknow?
i really am sorry that updates on mordor take longer, and i am so endlessly appreciative to those of you who are patient enough to wait it out and still show so much support <3 i love yāall. thank you for taking a story that has turned into a very vulnerable part of my heart, and for treating it with care. š¤
also iām so sorry for picking on you specifically nonnie youāre just one of the nicer asks iāve received recently regarding it and iād rather extend an answer to you then someone being rude!!! <3 thank you for reading and thank you for being excited about it haha ily <3

Could you write digimon frontier where someone finds/falls into one of Grumblemons burrows? Or just something about him. (He is very underrated)
I tried, but it turned out to be more about Fairymon ops x,x
Takes place after the end of Frontier, when the kids have gone home and the legendary warriors are the new guardians of the digital world:
---------
Winding Tunnels
The ground disappeared beneath Fairymonās feet. She yelped, fell. Her wings beat behind her, kept her from crashing completely. She landed gently on a secret second ground, hidden below the first. Tilted her head and listened to the sounds of the area. Wind howled, swept through tight corridors. A tunnel. Several even, a whole system. Had a Drimogemon made it to her area? She put her hand to the wall, followed it deeper.
The tunnels went in all kinds of directions. She listened for the wind, let it guide her through them. Through very tight corridors where the wind whistled high notes for her, and through wider tunnels where it was but a whisper. She didnāt know how long she had walked, but her feet were starting to ache.
āWhat are you doing here?ā
Fairymon tilted her head at the voice. Grottomon.
āI could ask you the same thingā, she answered.
The air was a lot more still in this place, the wind quieter. A cave. Fairymonās wings beat, lifted her from the ground and she flew over to where she could sense Grottomon.
āI found your tunnel in my areaā, she explained.
Didnāt land. Grottomon moved around, but didnāt look at her. She didnāt look at him either, but the movements in the air told her where he was. Unthreatening.
āThe ground is my areaā, he answered.
Simple as that. Fairymon didnāt agree.
āThe mountains are your area, not the Soyokaze village and surrounding forest.ā
She put her hands to her side.
āWe split the world in ten areas to not step on each otherās toes after the incidentā, she continued. āWe should all honor that arrangement until the Angels are back.ā
āDonāt think I donāt know about you sneaking over to Ranamonā, Grottomon answered.
Fairymonās cheeks felt hot. She crossed her arms over her chest.
āThatāsā¦ a different matterā, she said.
āUhu.ā
He knocked on one of the walls, shuffled around and knocked again, probably preparing for another tunnel. Fairymon sighed. She wasnāt angry and Grottomon obviously though she was.
āI just want to know whyā, she said. āAnd to know where the tunnels are so no other digimon get lost in here.ā
āAre you lost?ā Grottomon asked.
There was laughter in his voice. Fairymon clenched her hands, stretched her back to look more assertive.
āOf course not!ā
She was so lost, but she could always follow the wind out. Grottomon laughed.
āFaster travelā, he said. āBeen over to The Dark Continent a bit lately.ā
āWhy are youā¦ā
āWolfmon and I had some things to discussā, he said.
What exactly he didnāt say. Fairymon didnāt ask.
āI am not spying on you or whatever youāre implyingā, Grottomon continued.
Moved to another area of the room. It was big, Fairymon couldnāt hear the wind reach the walls. It seemed to gather somewhere above her. Probably a vent or something. Maybe she could get out that way.
āMy areaās not big enoughā, he continued.
They had split the world in ten equal areas. One for each of the legendary warrior, since tensions had been high after the humans left. Fairymon was just about to point it out.
āAll Dig-mons are in my areaā, Grottomon continued. āNo tunnels allowed anywhere else and they need to dig. The Digmons, the Armadillomons, the Drimogemons. Me. We need to dig, itās in our data. Thereās almost no ground left to dig in here.ā
He turned towards Fairymon. She made an attempt to turn towards him as well.
āSome tunnels flooded because the ground under the lake got too thin and now the lakeās goneā, he went on. āWaterās gone, plants are wilting and everyone is starting to starve. I canāt reach Ranamon because sheās in the ocean.ā
Fairymon landed on the ground.
āYou should have said something.ā
āIām telling you now.ā
He turned away again.
āWeāre trying to fix it, but we still need more dirt. More space. Fresh water. Wolfmonās been supplying some food while we sort it out. Only one of you whoāll speak to me.ā
Fairymon laughed.
āCanāt imagine the dark continent is great for him.ā
She didnāt know why Wolfmon had chosen that area, and why Lƶwemon had taken the Forest Terminal and Seraphimonās castle. It wasnāt her place to speculate, but obviously he felt lonely if he reached out to Grottomon of all digimons. Fairymon walked after Grottomon, followed him for a bit as he knocked on the walls.
āWe can help youā, she said after a few minutes. āWe could use a few digmons in my area. And Iām sure the others would also like to help.ā
She smiled.
āItās not a competition, weāre taking care of this world together.ā
āSome of us more together than othersā, he answered.
But thereās wasnāt malice in his voice, just teasing. Fairymon blushed again and looked away.
āI donāt know what youāre talking about.ā
He stopped, she heard him draw something on the wall.
āAnyway, Iāll talk with Ranamonā, she continued. āAnd itās probably time we all met up.ā
āBecause the last meeting went great.ā
The last meetingā¦ Fairymon shuddered. Agnimon and Chackmon had gotten into a fight, followed by Lƶwemon and Wolfmon refusing to talk to each other. Blitzmon and Mercuremon had done something and then half the building had exploded. Arbormon spent most of the meeting sleeping while Ranamon drew figures on the table. Fairymon had gotten into a fight with Agnimon the moment Chackmon stopped arguing and left. Calling it a disaster didnāt do it justice. Fairymon had no idea what Grottomon had been doing throughout it either.
āWellā¦ Weāve grown a bit since thenā, Fairymon said. Hoped. āWe were all still affected by the humans back then. Or the corruption. Iām sure this time itāll be fine.ā
The only one she had spoken to since then was Ranamon, but hope springs eternal. So, she really hoped they would do better this time. Grottomon grabbed something and went back to the wall.
āI can figure it out on my ownā, he said. āDonāt need you all stenching this place up.ā
āIāll send word about the meetingā, Fairymon answered.
Turned around, Now, where was the tunnel she had arrived through? Grottomon laughed.
āTell me again how you arenāt lost.ā
āIām not lostā, she said.
The air rose to the ceiling. Fairymonās wings beat behind her, lifted her from the ground.
āCiao!ā
She hoped the hole in the ceiling was big enough as she flew through it. The air guided her, let her know where the walls where so she could avoid them. She still scraped against it in a particular thight spot, but then she felt warmth against her face. Sunlight, a fresh breeze. She was above ground again. She turned, flew back towards the Soyokaze Village. Now she just needed to figure out where they could all meet up.
