The Sweeps!

Normally they just number themselves randomly but Cyclonus got fed up and gave them names. Scourge got ticked over being beaten to the punch, so Cyclonus lets him take the credit. Cyclonus doesn't remember naming those extra guys, though. Actually, he doesn't remember those extra guys, period.

Based off that one time in Starscream's Ghost where those three Sweeps had distinguishable character traits; the Whining Sweep, Cowardly Sweep, and Politely Declining Sweep.

Aaand then all the extras.

had to cut it awkwardly bc i choose a weird format and tumblr only gave me error messages trying to upload this- anyway i feel like i owe toby and the team a very serious apology

this is my solution to my struggle of wanting to keep my thin robot design AND make his stature make sense with the suit ... and get to draw some dilf beef (sorry)

also like the glitchy effect on the arms where the knight cut him idea i had, so that special effect is a little messed up at those parts now

and here i present my genuis idea of him hiding his two extra arms under the suit, for the most part to appear more normal and to use a special controller for the set so he can change scenes and stuff whenever he needs it (since one of the not mikes says he often jsut does it himself even if he asks "mike" for it)

alright here's my idea - an au where jayvik meet as kids, with viktor working for a street magician, rigging all the fake tricks behind the scenes, and jayce as a little magic fanboy 🪄✨

some thoughts on this au:

jayce has been obsessed with magic acts ever since his life was saved by a sorcerer. there's a new performer in town who can do tricks no one else can, and jayce in convinced he must be the real deal. one day he sneaks backstage in the hopes of finding evidence of real magic, but finds viktor instead, who he assumes must be the magician's apprentice!

viktor is torn because he doesn't want to ruin this kid's enthusiasm, or risk losing his job by revealing the truth. but he also... really doesn't want to be a wizard. so he comes clean. (lol)

jayce is a little bummed to find out it's not real, but when viktor shows him how the practical effects work, jayce becomes enchanted once more. they look so convincing!! technology that can replicate magic?? he thinks that's brilliant.

from then on viktor has a little tag-along at all of their shows, and jayce even starts calling himself viktor's apprentice. viktor's embarrassed, obviously, but also undeniably charmed. he and jayce become friends, him teaching jayce about engineering and jayce (trying to) teach him about the arcane.

they are earth shatteringly adorable the entire time 😔

Hiatus for 'Party Games and Summer Evenings' Announcement

Hi guys! I have some semi-bad news for you all. Basically, I've been doing a lot of reflecting recently, and I've come to the conclusion that I need to put 'Party Games and Summer Evenings' on a short hiatus. I've updated the tags and included the reasoning in the end notes of the fic, which you can read here:

So yeah, basically, the gist is that I love this fic, I love the concept and setup, but I just need a short break (from this story specifically!). I've only ever written Shadow one way, and it feels like I'm going through the motions. This being a spiritual successor to 'Silly Hats and Party Favors' and me cranking out 'Couch Crashers, Bed Bashers' less than a month ago while also writing this fic certainly didn't help lol

It's not being abandoned or orphaned. Nothing on my account will be, I intend to finish everything I start. I'm just going to switch gears and write a vastly different Shadow to keep things feeling fresh and fun, and then once I feel ready I'll be back for this one.

The silver lining of this is that I'll be attempting to publish a new Shadow POV fic soon, potentially even this weekend if the words are flowing. At the very least 'From the Shadows of the Deep' will see it's next chapter this weekend haha, so yep! Sorry again for any disappointment, and I appreciate everyone's understanding and patience!
