The Mojave's got it all folks: vampire mailmen, enclave werewolves, homoerotic blood drinking, the horrors-
Some Lore(tm) below the cut
Werewolves were the Enclave’s handiwork, naturally. The original project was ultimately deemed a failure by way of its mortality rate and was consequently shut down, though not before producing a handful of living, howling, subjects. Most were wasteland captures, but a few members volunteered for the trials, Officer Gannon among them. And, as it turns out— it’s hereditary.
Their existence isn’t widely known (or at least believed) in the wasteland at large. Some NCR and Brotherhood veterans remember and keep an eye out for any signs of them. Shoot on sight, never mind the fact that the majority of them were victims of the Enclave or the victims’ descendants.
Regardless, it’s better to stay out of sight. Arcade locks himself up in the Jacobstown lodge basement during the full moon where Doc Henry can help keep away any prying eyes. Losing control is a very difficult aspect of it for Arcade as he’s terrified of hurting someone. Outside of full moons he can transform at will, but reserves it for life or death situations. Unsurprisingly, his eyesight is still shit so he heavily relies on his ears and nose to stay aware of his surroundings.
Meanwhile, south of Vegas, Doc Mitchell has largely kept to himself after an unfortunate run in with another of the wasteland’s blood thirsty creatures that left him with an affliction of his own. When Victor drags in a dying courier, he does the only thing can to keep them alive (…or, undead at least) and changes them.
Sol still wakes up with brain damage and no memory, and with a bonus of insane speed, strength, and a craving for human blood. They start wearing sunglasses to hide their eye color and hoodies or sweaters under their denim jacket to fight off the constant bone deep chill. They heal quickly, but take longer to learn self control after Goodsprings. Animal blood can tide them over and luckily the Mojave has more than enough humans willingly throwing themselves into fights to keep Sol from having to hunt them.
When Arcade and Sol finally meet, they are both aware something is off about the other, though they don’t know what. Eventually the truth come out (Does Sol is Vampire?) and they find a kind of solace in that shared monsterhood. They fight together extremely well and keep each other in check.
Sol helps ground Arcade during full moons and keeps him (and others) safe. And when needed, Arcade is strangely quick to offer himself up as a food source for Sol.
Of course, the world around them beats onward and the war won’t wait for man or beast. Thus Courier Six remains, as they have always been, Courier Six.

INTRODUCING THE MOST MANIPULATIVE KING IN HISTORY , MAGNIFICO!!! 🎇🎇🎇🎇(I hate him but he deserves a redesign lol).
For those who see this post for the first time, I introduce myself, Hi :D! I'm Aled and this is a collaboration with @ animación , author of the rewrite of Wish that is on her profile (read it, the story it's soooo good) and I am in charge of drawing the redesigns of her story.
Now, coming back to the main thing, I will show how we got to this result :)
FACIAL FEATURES AND HAIR:
-Honestly, I never thought that getting used to drawing Magnifico would be so difficult lmao, how in most of my procedures to make the designs, I start with sketches and studying the structure of the character's face, this was a little difficult because I'm not that I'm used to drawing people over 20, but with a few practices I was able to figure out how to draw him :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I also did digital internships, but I didn't save most of them because I forgot lmao)
COLOR PALETTE:
-Don't think that I chose a palette of yellow and gold colors just because I thought it was pretty (well, that's also another reason), what happened is that when I was searching through conceptual arts, I found some designs by Magnifico where They used a blue and yellow color palette
Tumblr media
I did a quick search and found this:
Tumblr media
-Tell me this doesn't remind you of Magnifico, then yes, that's why I chose a yellow color palette, also adding a golden tone to give it a royal vibe.
-I also applied this in the design of Queen Amaya, in the publication of her design I explained why I added details of a dark blue color in her costume and Magnifico's costumes
ATTIRE:
-From the beginning I always wanted to modify Magnifico's cape by adding a rose as a brooch, and searching through the conceptual arts I found quite a few interesting models, so it can be said that I combined everything I liked and that's how I got the cape for Magnifico, Also adding other details that occurred to me.
Tumblr media
-The author sent me several ideas for Magnifico (thank you by the way :D), one of them was associating Magnifico with the sun, I really liked the idea and that is why there are so many symbols of the sun in his suit, plus these It reminded me how in so many cultures the Sun is worshiped, just as the kingdom of roses worships Magnifico, there are also other reasons why the sun fits with Magnifico but I already mentioned that in the publication of Amaya's redesign.
-The truth is, I only drew the other details improvised, this time I just got carried away, but hey! The outfit didn't look bad at all :)
-Another important part of Magnifico's costume is the "M" on his badge, but in fact it is not an M 😅, it is the sign of Scorpio ♏, this idea was from Anny Mation
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-So yeah, I had to add the Scorpio symbol yes or yes, at first I thought about adding it to the back of the cape but I wasn't convinced by the idea, but then I thought: "Wait, why don't I add the sign on the gold plate ? that would look elegant."
FINAL COMMENTS:
-I'm proud of how this turned out, I feel like it does justice to a villain that commemorates 100 years of Disney :)
-Also, I think that those who have already seen the other redesigns know which character is next, right 👀✨? For Aster, I don't know how long it will take me to draw him, since the boy is literally a walking animation studio lmao.
That would be all for now, until next time :D!

Get Started Drawing...
...even as a complete beginner!
In my efforts to help some friends who are only just starting to learn to draw (as adults! glorious!! <3), I kept digging around for resources that cover things I remember learning in the various art classes I've taken...but that does a better job than I can of laying it all out in a comprehensive, but not overwhelming, manner. (I am far too prone to rambling as you can see from this post, and bounce around topics as I remember them, rather than in a sensible order.) I've found a few guides here and there that cover one thing or another decently well...but I've finally found a free site I'm really keen on as an overall source if you're just starting out with learning to draw!
It's incredibly clear and concise, whereas many of the other sites and books I found could sometimes be overwhelmingly detailed. It's arranged in a way that reminds me of the flow of art classes, starting at the very first steps--how to approach art if you've never done it before, and the fact that you only need basic tools to begin with. If you go in approximate order, it then establishes that you should start sorting out a solid foundation by practicing simple lines and shapes--the same way you learned to write letters so you could ultimately make words, sentences, stories... This includes some neat little practice exercises with questions to consider while you do them, so you also learn to see and observe things like angles and proportions, which are critical for being able to accurately draw more complex things.
It evolves from there into how to take those basic shapes and turn them into simplified human bodies--and from there, how to consider more complex 3D versions of the shapes to give those bodies a sense of dimension and physicality. It even touches on things like composition, silhouette, negative space, and line of action--all in a quick, straightforward manner. It plants the seed of understanding for these more complex illustration concepts, which you can then research further, armed with relevant terminology to dig up more in-depth resources as they catch your interest!
The style itself is usually simple, but even if your aim is to draw with a more detailed style, this one can serve as a base sketch to add that detail to. (Combine learning this base with photo studies, plus more detailed style guides for wherever you want to take your art, and you could use this as a base for comics, cartoons, anime, realism...the core concepts and skills remain the same!) There's also examples of how to adjust for varied body shapes, so it provides more flexibility than some drawing guides do, which often only focus on one "ideal" body type. (This style can also be used for that, if it's what you want--you just adjust the proportions of the basic shapes as you need! But this provides examples of how to handle variety, which will give you a better foundation for drawing people and characters so they don't all look the same, instead of having to figure out how to adjust for it later on.) The Shape Dolls for reference are also incredibly delightful, and a great cheap way to have a little pose reference mannequin of sorts!
There's also links to sources if you want to dig into concepts more deeply--available both as a general source page, as well as some specific topics including relevant sources at the bottom of their respective pages. There's also a patreon with some extra thoughts that is fully accessible for free, but has a paid option if you want to support Tan for providing such a lovely resource! (Also they have a legit vegetable farm?? How cool is that.)
So yes! If you have any interest in learning to draw--whether you've ever tried before or not, and no matter your age--try looking through this site, and let it guide you through the process!

Special Sale - Friday/Early Saturday Only!
**These are sold out for now! I may re-open again when I have some time! Thank you all for letting me practice!** Hello~! So after some thought, I would like to move away from using Photoshop for my art due to Adobe's terrible business practices. Even if they change their tune, the fact of the matter is they're untrustworthy with their users' data and will probably try again. So I've purchased Clip Studio Paint, but am still working through it and trying to figure things out. I definitely can't fully transition over until I get it all together, so for a while I'm going to need some practice! I am doing a little request sale! For $9 I will do a little black and white sketch of your character to get the feel of the new program! I may add another tier or etc if I feel comfortable with slightly bigger and more complicated pieces. I do not have a good grasp of the program so I am not comfortable taking bigger projects on it just yet - if I did I'm not sure how good it will look. I will be taking payment exclusively through my KO-FI as it keeps good track of everything for me. BUT if you can only pay through another method, just let me know and I can work it out. At this time I am opening ten slots at a time! I may open more later! :D Related but also unrelated, my normal sketch commissions that I draw in Photoshop are also reopened! (I will let people know when I fully move over.) SO if you would like a little commission but don't want my messy new sketches, feel free to take a look. No pressure either way to anyone, this is just some practice for me! Thank you all so much!
This sale will at this time only take place June 28th (Friday), and some of early Saturday June 29th! I may do limits at a time and release blocks as I go depending on interest. I assure you I'm quick!

The Menu, to me, is such a fascinating movie. I'm going to come back to it and watch the way it's filmed more carefully. but the first time through is such a tantalizing and layered discussion about work, wealth, and inevitably life under capitalism.
What I particularly love about it is that at a very surface level reading it offers a sort of "introduction to systemic inequality," an easy to swallow metaphor of humanity literally consumed by exploitation to the point of annihilation, wrapped around a peppy little survivor girl finale. For me, stripping away all the tasty deeper subtext, it still fulfills the most basic component of a popular film, which is "having a good time." You do not need to try and "get it," you can simply enjoy it by itself if you like.
However, as soon as we get into the finicky details of the movie, especially our "final girl," it starts to get really interesting because the initial surface metaphor starts to fall apart and demand a more complex level of thought. (This will feature some spoilers.)
What I find fascinating is that our protagonist is a sex worker. The entire grand metaphor proposed by our chief antagonist, the chef, is you can divide the world into the served and servers. He has arranged what he thinks is a perfect and flawless illustration of this grand truth, and one unforeseen change fully undermines his entire thesis. She's a worker who provides a service, she's someone getting served by workers in the process of that service. Her job and her life weaves between both worlds and although it's possible to make some larger sweeping generalization, to do so would take the nuance away from the lived reality of most people who are at once point or another both things. This undermining of the chef's thesis is very much the point of the movie, not to suggest there is no class or wealth inequality, but rather as an entry into moving past the surface level binary view of "haves and have nots" into a more complex idea of how wealth and power affects people in different places of the hierarchy.
The movie itself presents each new act as a new item on the menu, which is a well-considered choice, as each step forward reveals more information that builds the complexity of the ideas in the movie and whets your appetite to consider it further. The plot, the characters, and the action in the film progress in a way that mirrors the kind of experience the menus title cards before each segment are describing. The restaurant itself being totally isolated, with every employee committed to their jobs with a cultish intensity lays a groundwork for the production of the idea that individual lives are disposable not just in the literal sense, but metaphorically, a quick sketch of the modern expectations of a workforce by capitalist society to consider their personal lives as disposable in comparison to their jobs. Ralph Fiennes' casting as the chef adds a kind of metatextual level to the proceedings, as he himself is an aspirational actor for many other working actors in the film industry. The way he is worshiped by his devout employees while viewed as someone meant to perform on demand by his employers is the kind of deeper exchange that our modern hierarchy expects from us. You can find a higher place in the world so long as you are always willing to trade yourself to anyone who can afford to purchase you.
This level of exchange, where we as individuals are the actual consumable goods in some way is more at the heart of the Menu than a simple binary division of class. It is also the reason to have a protagonist who is, in a literally sense, her own medium of exchange. The surface metaphor of everything as transactional and finite is deliberately broken time and again, because the antagonist, a chef, is unable to see a world more complex than his own route of understanding it, through food and cooking. He sees everything as abstracted, consumable without any possibility of restoration, resources as something which can only be exchanged but never increased or distributed. He is not the villain in the movie, that role remains with characters like the stockbrokers, the old wealthy gentleman, and our protagonist's date for the evening. But he is the antagonist because of his fundamental idea of the world aligning with the villains (even while ostensibly there to kill them) and in conflict with the fundamentally reasonable position of our protagonist, that she ought to live.
I would enjoy dissecting The Menu scene by scene because there's simply so much going on in it, for me personally. I think there's something excruciatingly interesting to be said about the protagonist being a sex worker, in particular because the movie itself does not chose to view this in an exploitative way, but rather uses it to serve the larger idea that humanity cannot, in fact, be broken down into a consumable resource alone - that giving of yourself does not mean a loss to yourself. I also believe there is a distinct turning point in the movie where Ralph Fiennes sits down at a table, which is to me a huge change. It is the movie making an effort to draw a line under the real thesis, that even the antagonist who insists throughout the movie that he exclusively exists as one who serves, who gives himself up one bite at a time until he is exhausted, even he is someone who cannot exist in his own idea of a false binary.
The chef here is not wrong in recognizing the existence of exploitation, or even necessarily incorrect in his ideas of addressing it through violently usurping those in power. I would argue that overall the conclusion of The Menu doesn't disagree with the notion of hierarchical exploitation innate to modern society. If anything, it serves to illustrate even more how much this trend is ultimate a downward spiral of inevitable and total destruction.
However, it is a movie that is meant to be optimistic, a movie about hanging on to our human connections even when we have some exchange between each other. It's about caring for other people, caring about what they do for us, or caring about what we do for others. The conclusion, and our survivor girl, are a recognition of that hope and that potential which still exists.

Hope this isn't presumptuous of me but I have an archery question and would like to pick your brain if you don't mind.
I was writing a scene in my Breath of the Wild fanfic with Link and Mipha fighting some Yiga Clan guys. Link is watching carefully during the fight trying to figure out how the Duplex Bow fires two arrows at a time. One after another in quick succession at a single point (rather than the spread of arrows Lynel Bows or the Great Eagle Bow fires).
I couldn't come up with a plausible explanation other than the Duplex Bow has two strings, allowing the user to knock two arrows close together and then releasing them one after the other.
What are your thoughts on this?
Presumptuous? To message me about my hyperfixiation interests??
My guy I am kissing you gently on the forehead and handing you a flower.
So - you're totally right that with real world physics, firing two arrows from the same bow at the same exact point immediatly one after the other without re-drawing is unrealistic outside of video game logic. Even if you had two strings on your bow and released one and then the other, the bow tension would only release once you'd released the second and they would fire at the same time.
It is possible to shoot multiple arrows on the same bow, at the same time. Though you'll not only have far less control over where they'll hit, but the more arrows you have, the less force you'll get behind them. So they won't go very far or hit very hard. Typically, Archers don't do this. Though there's records of the more scattergun approach being used in medieval battles, usually arrows being shot into the air to try to just hit as many people as possible quickly.
The Duplex bow in BotW is....hmm. Its an odd shape, for a bow. That 3 shape doesn't reflect the shape of any bow I've ever seen in reality. (Edit: I think it is potentially based on a scythian composite bow)
My theory would be that the design works similarly to a recurve bow, with the limbs bending to provide the force, but for it to really have an impact it would make more sense of the limbs were turned backwards. I'll add a sketch here later to explain that better.
The only solutions I can come up with if we're being creative with this are;
The arrows. If you had a hollow arrow with a second arrow inside that had a wider fletching than caught the wind resistance more, it could fire as one arrow but separate mid-air into two, one flying slightly slower than the other as the wind catches the fletching.
Or it's two bows stuck together. Thing four limbs, rather than two. Perhaps it looks like a single bow until you squint and realise it's two bows designed to look like two halves of a single one. That way the two string method would work, because each string would have different limbs connecting to it.
Oooh I'd be excited to read your fic when it's done! I hope you'll share it!!

why the "A Series Of Unfortunate Events" movie didn't work
Tumblr media
If you are a fan of the movie pease don’t take offence. In fact, I have a selection of compliments for it. on the other hand, if you don't like the movie, I hope you understand my few praises. in the end, I hope that fans or haters will take my points as they are, opinions.
spoilers ahead
Cast
Some of the biggest highlights is Meryl Streep and Billy Connolly. Connolly’s Monty was warm, filling me with hope for the short amount of time we saw him. Streep does amazing as usual, delivering each line with the perfect amount of fear and justification, even sounding as if she often gave kids too villains on the daily.
Jude law is fine, narrating the movie in the role of Lemony Snicket, just as he does in the books, he often appears to add suspense with his jammed typewriter. Never seeing his face, the mysterious atmosphere of unsolved questions is added to by a foggy figure. Mr. Poe, played by Timothy Spell, does a fine job. Only appearing at the beginning and end of each time they spend with their guardian, he does the best he can with the time he’s given.
As for the children, Emily browning is by far the best. However, Sunny steals the show. Her quick quips and funny jokes can bring a small light to the miserable tale. Klaus is good, no complaints or major compliments.
One of my major issues with the movie is Jim Carrey’s performance. Yes, count Olaf is extravagant, Carey takes it to a whole other level. The flamboyant performance adds a comical Layer to the character which isn’t needed. He makes an idiot out of a rather smart individual, not many people could get away with such a plot, and Carreys Olaf definitely couldn’t. In no way is he believable and would not be able to get away with such plot.
Olaf as a character is funny, his silly costumes, the accents, the ideas, even the people he surrounds himself with. He is meant to be played by someone who is enjoying themselves. For me, Jim Carey is not having fun, he just wants to seem like he is.
Costumes/sets
One thing about this movie I can praise is the sets. Each distinctive location is given a distinctive colour palette, letting certain colours pop against the overall gloom of the story. The buildings are all marvellously done, the warm yellow hues surrounding montgomerys home and outfits contrasts the cold tones of Josephines house. Count Olafs house is dark, dirty and I believe they could’ve gone further with it. It looks messy, but clean and organised messy. As if he meticulously placed each item to look chaotic.
The 40s/50s Americana sketches from the book are turned upside down for this gothic, victorian aesthetic they decided on. Not that I’m against this change, I just find it interesting. As the books never specified when they are set, they are up for interpretation. The dark glow of the costumes add to a miserable feeling of dread. One costume change I did not like was them not giving Klaus glasses. His whole schtick was the fact that he read so much he needed glasses. Not to mention that the fourth book revolves around him wearing glasses, further proving that they never intended to adapt any more of the story. Also violets hair was a whole choice.
Why it was never going to work
Shoving three movies into one would never give the satisfaction that the books or show does. Around half an hour per guardian, the bond is never formed deep enough to make the falling apart have such impact. Moving the wedding to the end caused a dragging pace with having to add a whole other scene where they almost get hit by a train. Making Olaf get punished pushes even further that a sequel was never in consideration, also showing absolute cluelessness to what makes the books so good. The fact that he never gets punished adds to it individuality and its charm. The movie makers clearly didn’t understand it and that’s what makes it so disappointing.

HI, I'm in love with your kinktober works 💞💞 I just wanna ask if you could write about Golden retriever Ian AU, something sweet with the other cast members (You can add Cat Anthony too but thats optional)😭😭
Just all love for him, I will love everything you'd do
Dog boy!Ian/Cat boy!Anthony - Wag
--
For a golden retriever hybrid human, Ian was never as expressive as people imagined he would be. He knows it can be disappointing, his stoic nature, but he just isn’t as outwardly expressive as most people, or even most hybrids. Shayne is also a golden retriever, and he is the total opposite of Ian in every sense. He’s easily excited, ears shooting up with interest and his fluffy golden blonde tail wagging at the slightest hint of joy.
So, when Anthony returned to Smosh Ian suddenly finds all his puppy instincts kicking in. They’ll be filming and Anthony will be telling some story, some joke, and before Ian knows it, his tail wags a mile a minute as he giggles along.
“That’s so cute,” Courtney says, cooing at him.
Ian flushes a delicate pink, and his co-workers laugh fondly, the way they always tease each other within the company. Anthony is a black cat and he’s sleek yet affectionate by nature. He doesn’t have direct outward displays of his happiness besides the extremely rare times he purrs, so he’s quick to speak about those things that make him happy, that bring him joy.
“It just means he’s happy,” Anthony says, his voice dripping with fondness, and his own long, black tail laying lazily over Ian’s. The feeling of sleek fur against his own fluffy tail only makes Ian flush a deeper shade of pink and somewhere off-screen Kimmy calls cut for them to take a break.
--
They are filming their updated take on the Pokemon in Real Life sketch in the new Smosh house. It’s a break between filming scenes and Ian is curled in the giant bean bag chair they are using in the video. He’s fucking around on the working Gameboy, playing Fire Red and leveling up his Charmander, just as Anthony strolls into the room.
“You’re still playing that?” Anthony asks with amusement.
“Yeah, I caught a Pidgey.”
“Pff, Pidgey sucks, dude,” Anthony says with a laugh.
He comes to stand next to the bean bag and then with no preamble, Anthony is nudging Ian over with his elbows and urging him to scoot over. Then Anthony is settling into the giant bean bag chair alongside Ian, his cat tail curling across Anthony’s own thigh and then Ian’s.
Ian keeps playing the game and wills his tail to stay still where it’s tucked against the chair. He hates that he loses control so easily now around Anthony, and while there is no shame in being happy and letting his tail wag, he doesn’t want to come off as some dumb eager puppy, he doesn’t want to weird Anthony out.
Anthony though, tilts his head back against the chair and his cheek touches Ian’s shoulder. He watches Ian play on the borrowed Gameboy. Ian can feel one of the fuzzy tips of his ear brushing against Ian’s neck just barely.
It is quiet and peaceful between them, a new dynamic in their older years. A comfortable silence that doesn’t need to be filled with jokes and stories and laughter to hide a tension under the surface. They can exist together in this space, in the quiet, content, and comfortable.
It takes a few minutes before Ian hears the deep rumble of Anthony purring. He doesn’t say anything, just glances over at the other man, his best friend. Anthony’s eyes are closed, and his head is nestled against Ian’s shoulder, but he’s purring warm in his chest. It’s cute, sweet, makes something heavy and fond shift in Ian’s body. As much as Ian hates wagging his tail in public, Anthony hates purring, and Ian hasn’t heard it much since they reunited. He remembers being a teenager, sleeping in the same bed, and the kind of happiness that comes with being a kid, how the rhythmic rumbling of Anthony’s purr always lulled him to sleep when he spent the night.
Hearing it now was like coming home in a way and Ian cannot stop the way his tail wags even trapped under his own body, the happiness filling him like a warm summer day. He doesn’t say anything, and his wagging doesn’t disturb Anthony, and they stay that way, together, comfortable, quiet, purely happy to just be around each other once again.

Being sick for the past week meant that I had nothing better to do today than lay in bed and refresh tumblr waiting for chapter 34, and seeing it at the very top of my dash was the highlight of my day! The wait was definitely worth it, my health for the duration notwithstanding lol
SPOILER WARNING FOR PAST CHAPTERS IDK HOW TO PUT READ MORES IN ASKS I'M SO SORRY
You made the right call taking the extra time to edit this doozy of a chapter—figuring out how to share Dale's exposition in a way that made sense and fit into the events of the story while maintaining tonal consistency must have been quite the process, between the restrictions of Sana's POV, regency genre conventions, and the story's (heh) natural climax being Dale's identity "reveal" followed by the wedding. I'm very curious if you currently have any ideas for how you're going to tackle this exposition in the novelization, or if you're inclined to handle it differently at all!
@weasellyferret
i hope you're feeling better! i'm so glad you enjoyed the new chapter!
i hav no idea if u can even put a read more in an ask anymore and i can't hide it now but my answer will be under the read more
thanks! i think some people really underestimate how helpful even self editing is to make things coherent, especially for a long chapter like this one that covered so much but also was literally just two ppl talking to each other (ppl lov to say they'll take any update, but lik, thats cuz they dont knooow lol and i dont just want it to b passable, i want it to b good).
with lore/backstory like this i also have to make sure it makes sense to readers who havent read any of it before nor know any of the even more info that I know because there's even more worldbuilding and dale backstory that wont end up in the story.
i'm glad u think i pulled it off to any degree because i was still pretty nervous when i was posting it that it did make sense, fit in the world, was followable, interesting but not just exposition monologue, etc
yeah, chapter 30 where they have the reveal convo is the primary climax of the story and that's also 'just talking' in a sense so its interesting to write this story in that sense lol
while i had the broad outline of the world and dale's backstory from the beginning (i did a little exercise where i sketched out a sort of Dale POV of chapter 6 to get into his mindset which was super helpful) as I wrote the story a lot more of that info became fully fleshed out/defined. so for the novelization, i'll probably try to work more of the info in earlier or have better allusions to it, which will make some of the info in chapter 34 more of a quick confirmation than the exposition itself
ie i might add a chapter with more detail on Sana researching with Dale's books that Bilmont smuggles and plant suspicions of what went wrong with the summoning; i might adjust the chapter after the attack to be more of a convo about the assassination that the grandparents interrupt where Sana can suspect more of Dale's past etc and generally spread out what i can so its more foreshadowed/natural - things like that
other aspects sort of have to be told to Sana because its POV limited, evn when it is updated to 3rd POV. i'll probably do a straight POV swap and minor edit ; then take a look at it as a whole, reassess things on my own, run those ideas by some writer friends/betas and get their thoughts, and finally my editors (who i used for DSM) are also very good with making sure worldbuilding fits in right and so their advice will be helpful - especially since they will only get the draft i giv them without knowing how it was and what changed etc
once chapter 35 is out (which i'm still writing because smut is a challenge to right and i write it more slowly than other things) i'll start slowly editing and passing along to betas the rest of the story (i've got thru chap 11 done and betas who only read those and who are chomping at the bit - u think u've had a long wait? lol) but it will be spring by the time i do any big edits/revisions and then i'll giv it to the editors, who i already lik, semi-lined up for that time period and idk how long they will take because its a long book and then i'll need to process their edits too so it'll be a lengthy process, but i hope everyone knows it will 100% b a novel and i hope they enjoy it!
now back to stabbing away at the smut writing ;)

Just here, testing this question box. 🤣 And demanding more of my newest crush Lyle. 👀🫠🤣
I see the question box works just fine, I thank you for testing it! 🤣 And, of course, your demand has been answered! 👀🤣
Here you have more of Lyle:
Tumblr media
(quick sketch I did today so I could add it to this, so it’s not really the best ever, but still! 🤣✨)
And here are some Lyle facts for ya:
Lyle is a tad more on the introvert side. He tends to be more quiet and reserved, and even if he technically doesn’t mind sharing things about himself or speaking his mind about this and that, chances are he won’t do it unless asked to, or unless he feels comfortable enough around the people he is with. He’s not necessarily the anxious type, he doesn’t mind being in social settings and does just fine. He actually enjoys his time out and interacting with people. That being said, his social battery drains faster than that of other people. He needs to have his “alone time” every now and then, otherwise he will get progressively more mentally exhausted.
He moved to England at the end of 2021. It was something he and his wife, Lily, agreed to do together, as part of their final attempt to mend their marriage. To start anew, so to speak. Needless to say, it didn't work. Actually, it kiiinda worked for a little while?, but things went downhill once again, eventually. The spark was simply not there anymore, resentments overshadowed the good moments, and the fact that Lyle was still not over Blair yet didn’t help, either. This whole attempt lasted for a little over a year or so, until they (finally!) recognized and accepted the fact that they were simply not meant to be together anymore, and got divorced. Something they should have done AGES ago, mind you, but life is not always just that simple, if ever. 🙂😂 Lyle is currently still living in England, but he visits Scotland when he can.
He comes from a rather conservative family, but his views couldn't be more different (especially when compared to his parents, who are kinda stuck in their ways). Lyle has a very progressive way of thinking, in fact, which is something he has in common with his older sister, Kirstie!
Speaking of family, Kirstie is actually his favourite family member. 😂 He gets along with the rest of his family as well, sure, but their different views on society, people and life matters tend to end up in some unpleasant arguments and snarky remarks. The MacGregor family gatherings are definitely… interesting. He and Kirstie have always resonated incredibly well, though. They have a great relationship! And Kirstie is a pretty cool woman, but we’ll leave that for another time.
There was a time in his life when Lyle struggled a bit with alcohol addiction. It was the easy way of dealing (or not dealing) with the shitty side of life. Just drink it all away, to the point of not remembering why you’ve been drinking in the first place. Not anymore, though. He hasn’t given up on alcohol completely, he still enjoys the occasional glass of whisky or a good ol’ beer, but he is very careful about it now. He most certainly doesn’t want to fall back into those old habits.
Cooking is not one of his strongest skills, but he knows how to make incredibly good homemade bread.
Hope you enjoyed the Lyleness! 🤣💖✨

Hi! You may have noticed that I recently added a part to chapter III.1 ( chapter 7 numerically ), and may have wondered why I even bothered 😂 Well, several things were on l my mind that I wanted to resolve :
1.1) Show how Ezra ( in this story, at least ) is trying to keep a low profile in the world at large ( i.e. he wants to ‘stay dead or missing’ ) because he is far wiser now than he was as his teenage self, back when he was last in the known Star Wars galaxy. He doesn’t necessarily want to attract any attention to himself being one of the few surviving Jedi, for many reasons that you can glean from reading the fic ( 😁 );
1.2) Show how Ezra interacts with other people outside of his immediate ‘family’ ( i.e., Kanan, Hera, Zeb, Sabine, and even Kallus, Hondo, etc. ), particularly ‘ordinary’ folk who don’t have the desire or capability to be active in the larger conflicts of the galaxy;
2) Portray Peli the way I see her, since a) I absolutely ADORE her character ( from The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett ), b) I’ve mentioned her several times already throughout the fic and it didn’t feel right to not have her make what is essentially a ‘cameo’ in this story;
3) Flesh out how I would imagine the Phantom II would… Progress. 😊 Ever since I was young, I’d always been an enthusiast of impossible technology ( which is the main reason why I LOVE sci fi, steampunk, etc etc, and of course, Star Wars )… So this is a way for me to indulge that side of myself.
Well, speaking of indulging THAT… Here are some sketches of the Phantom II ( or rather, what I called the Phantom II.1 in the fic 😊 ). Ever since I saw this little Sheathipede that Sabine modified to fit the purposes of the Ghost crew, I’ve been OBSESSED at imagining how it could be improved to be more capable and be on par with the best starfighters out there.
I designed it to basically be sufficiently armed, agile, and quick enough to be competitive in a dogfight with any ship; be capable of functioning as a residence / base of operations for a lone, maybe a couple of ( very close ) Jedi; be a viable research / exploration vessel that can sustain its crew for very, VERY, long periods of time ( hence it being equipped by a refresher ( since sanitation and hygiene is key to comfort and health long-term; also, it functions as a water recycling facility for the ship ( from urine, waste water, even excess moisture from the atmosphere of the ship )), conservator ( food and water ), and utility room ( to fix broken or cobble together new equipment, fix clothes, fix the ship, etc )).
ALL VERY RELEVANT, since being in a completely new, hitherto UNEXPLORED galaxy is a major theme that I’ve delved into in this fic…
Tumblr media
Hope this helps in visualizing what I have in mind! 😊 See you on February 14 ( it’s for the Sabezra event on that day, but I forgot what exactly it was called! ( UGH I’m so forgetful nowadays… having just turned 36 a week ago does that to your brain 😂 )) for the next update for my fic ( The Mandalorian and the Jedi ), in case you’re interested. 😊
Happy weekend to all,
glouchyouchy
[ EDIT : Finally managed to squeeze in the time to add this sketch ( the one I was talking about above ) :
Tumblr media
I’ve always wondered if the ‘fin’ of the Sheathipede could possibly be used to conceal some hidden features / armaments… So here it is :) I imagined that it’d look cobbled together from parts lying around in Pelli’s hangar :) ]

not to be cringe but do you have any advice for running a character ask blog? Aiming for something kinda lowkey like with Bean (also I love bean. I love to see what she’s up to)
not sure how helpful some of these will be since they're just what i do for my personal projects but for sure!!!
uuuuhhh basic overview stuff
if you're doing an oc blog, chances are it probably won't receive as much attention as a canon character/story blog. just sort of the way things go! if you want to draw some attention, you might want to think about non-ask related stuff you can post (clangen blogs do this with the mini event posts, keeps the world moving!)
even with canon character blogs, giving pieces of character lore, worldbuilding, mini stories can help keep the world more alive. but that's when you got time and if it seems fun, you should just do things if you want to tbh
i keep all my stuff in a doc and add and edit whenever i put new info on the blog to keep things consistent. i just put them in little sections to help me find things (beanie lore, worldbuilding, spirits, etc.) but simple bullet points are easy.
if you're doing an original character and world, i would highly recommend giving your readers some worldbuilding and lore to help them invest themselves. people don't know the boundaries of things and while you can have them ask, a little nudge definitely helps.
for a canon blog, i'd pick a specific time period. it'll save you grief if you know who's alive and who isn't, as well as the grief that comes with trying to figure out what you want to change (if you want to change things that is. i like fucking with canon but it really is up to you and the story you want to tell).
you can improvise it as you go, but i do recommend jotting them down somewhere after the fact so you can keep things consistent. up to you though, i just have a piss poor memory lol
figure out if you want to try and do an overarching story, mini stories, or no stories. you don't have to decide right away and you can even decide after you start the blog and get a vibe of what people are interested in, but sometimes it is good to jot them down if they come to you right away.
you're supposed to have fun if you're not having fun don't do it, take a break from the blog or steer it in the direction you want. no one is paying you (i think) so everything you do you should do because you enjoy doing it.
art for an ask blog (if ur doing art if not skip this)
your main character should be easy to recreate on model and most importantly: fun to draw!!! overly complicated character designs are fun in the beginning but after five or more you're going to start to hate them.
i'd also recommend against doing too many tiny "floating" bits, keeping things attached to a body part or in proximity to a space easy to recreate them will save you grief. i learned this the hard way after i kept forgetting all those damn tiny scars i put on my fallen stars!firestar design. in comparison, beanie's design for the blog has a few scars but the placement makes it so they're easy to recreate and draw.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(how i style my reference sheets. do not be me. do not fall into hubris and add so many damn floaty scars to a character that is the main damn character of your goddamn big ass au blog. fucking icarus move lol)
if you introduce a new character, make an easy quick ref sheet for yourself. it'll save you grief and keep things consistent.
i'd also figure out if you want to do colors or no colors. no coloring means you have more time to put effort into sketches and can just move faster if you're looking for something breezy and easy. but colors look good, they make it easier to tell cats apart and are just much nicer on the eyes. if you also have a bigger cast in mind, you can rely on colors a little more than body shapes to make sure everyone can be told apart
i color my sketch lines different colors for different characters on the beanie blog but there are plenty of other ways to make sure characters are told apart! @/askcinders does distinct shapes and different base colors for different characters and lines distinct markings so you can tell whose who.
backgrounds are...difficult. i'd recommend simplicity over complexity and save big backgrounds for "big moments", but it's up to you if you like them! i would just say go simple since the focus of these blogs are the characters.
theeeeennn speech bubbles or no speech bubbles. i like doing doing speech bubbles within the text because it gives me more control of the order the reader will read the dialogue, how they read it, the emotions i can elicit from it, and more fun with how i can place the dialogue. buuuuuut that does mean spacing them, and spacing dialogue bubbles can be a pain since it takes up room if you forget to sketch their placement in the original sketch (which i do. a lot).
so the other option is art and then dialogue underneath directly in the post. this saves you room, makes art probably a lot easier, and circumvents the issue of difficult to read speech bubbles! i do both but it's up to you, both methods are tried and true.
aaannnndd that's all that comes to mind? really it's just about having fun. as you work at it, chances are you'll probably figure out your own individual work style. best of luck (and i'm very excited to see what you come up with)!!!!!!!

Quick Thoughts on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem
For those who don't know, I LOVE the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Next to Scooby-Doo, the Turtles defined my childhood, being a franchise I'll watch and be interested in until the day I die. So needless to say, I was already excited for Mutant Mayhem just from the first trailer alone. And it paid off because this movie rocks!
First thing of note is that this might be the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie that feels like it's made for teenagers. Sure, Micheal Bay tried...He certainly tried. But this one feels like it speaks their language without pandering to them with cheap lingo and references.
...Well, there IS that, but you learn to forgive it when you remember that the Turtles themselves are voiced by actual teenagers this time, with a lot of their lines being improvised and the chemistry bouncing off the kids. I love that change because it makes the movie focus more on the "Teenage" aspect of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, where most iterations took that as a suggestion if anything else. This time, it gives the Turtles more of a charm to them. Like we're watching them as they start out while leaving room to become the bigger, more mature heroes we know them more as.
And speaking of maturity, hot DANG does this movie earn its PG rating, large in part because of Ice Cube's Superfly. The guy feels like he thinks he's an R-rated movie, but no one told him it was PG and were probably too scared of him to say so. He's incredibly violent and curses way more than I thought he might, with every other sentence he says having the word "damn," "hell," and even "pissed" at one point. When was the last time you heard a character say the word "pissed" in a PG movie?! On top of that, he's a solid villain who manages to strike that perfect balance of charming and threatening. You get why others want to listen to and fear him in every way possible.
And as for the rest of the characters, they're all pretty great. The Turtles, as I've said, are all pretty darn charming with their core personalities throughout the franchise shining through, but altered to fit the teen aspect of their characters.
As for April O'Neil, despite people hating her because she's black and fat, is a solid friend to the Turtles and their chemistry together is believable. Plus, dang it, I'm a sucker for losers making friends and finding strength with fellow losers. I can't get sick of it.
And Splinter is also great, having a strong character arc and a believable conclusion to it. They DO beat you over the head with the symbolism of how he learns his lesson, to the point where a character outright states it, but it's a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. I'm not looking for a masterpiece, I'm looking for fun.
Speaking of, this movie really is fun, having some great action, solid jokes, and WONDERFUL animation. The look of Mutant Mayhem is perfect and adds to the whole "made for teens" aspect, as they said they wanted to copy the feel of sketching in your notebook as a teen, and they nailed it with grungy character models and hand-drawn scribbles and pencil marks to add to it. Best of all, they didn't need to torture the animators to give this movie it's great style (TAKE NOTES, SPIDER-VERSE!). The overall look is definitely not for everyone, as I can see people being put off by it, but I think it works great for what the people behind this movie was going for...I just wish I could see it.
Now, I don't know if it's the movie's fault or my theater screen, but this movie looks too dark during a lot of scenes. And I'm willing to blame the movie, because even with certain trailers it was hard to see what was happening a few times. Which is a shame too, because there was so much effort into making this movie look as amazing as it did, I just wish the people behind it turned the brightness up a few notches so I could see all of it.
And since we're talking negatives, another nitpick I have is how big the cast is for this movie. There's, like, ten more prominent characters in this film, each with a celebrity voicing them, yet they're VERY minor to the plot. I don't get why they had John Cena of all people to voice Rocksteady, when all he says is probably less than ten lines throughout the movie. But then you remember, "Oh, right. They're making an animated series based off this movie." At that point, the bigger cast makes sense and turns Mutant Mayhem into less of its own film and more into a pilot episode. It shows fans the cast, the world, and the set-up so future installments can continue it. And I'm...mixed on how I feel about that. Because I DO want to see more, especially with how this movie ends in a way that no other Teenage Mutant Ninja property. But at the same time, it kind of leaves off on a perfect ending where I don't NEED to see more? It's hard to explain, so you might as well see it yourself.
In fact, watch the movie anyways. It's GREAT fun. It won't top movies like Across the Spider-Verse or Nimona, which includes stronger themes along with their incredible animation, but Mutant Mayhem still wins points for being a fun film throughout. If you're a Turtles fan, you'll likely get a kick out of it. I sure did, and I'll watch this movie more and more in the future...On a better screen just in case it WAS my theater's fault.

Hi! In the story I’m writing the characters are traveling by pegasus (2 people per pegasus, so already double saddles). Assuming strength isn’t an issue, would there still be room for the pegasus to carry luggage as well (like without it getting in the way of the wings)? Also, I have a character who uses a cane or forearm crutches for chronic fatigue (I haven’t decided which fits their needs best) and I was wondering if you had any designs that would be functional but also fitting the fantasy aesthetic? Thank you so much, your blog is so cool!
if you want advice on pegasi, I would highly recommend @skycowboys, who does some amazing work with pegasi designs and really knows a lot more about horse-related topics than I do. So far as I know, you shouldn't need two saddles to put two people on the same pegasus, and there should be room for a little luggage in saddle bags. Or you can try to design a form of flying vehicle that the pegasi can pull, like a flying cart. not sure how that would work, exactly, but there's probably a way to fudge that.
as for fantasy designs for mobility aids, i think giving canes/crutches a wooden texture or making them out of magical materials is a really neat way to bring them into a fantasy world. I often draw mobility aids with simple modern designs, but that is because i haven't given myself time to draw them with a more interesting design. here's some vine/leaf based ideas for a start:
Tumblr media
(image description: two simple sketches of humanoid figures. On the left, they are using a pair of forearm crutches, on the right they are using a cane. the mobility aids are drawn in solid green and have curved but sturdy designs with little vine-like curls coming off them. end description.)
Other fantasy design ideas: a cane made from the carved bone of a large creature, with leather wrapped around the handle. metal crutches with gems embedded in the sides. carefully carved wood, all in one piece. go all the way with magic and have them made of enchanted ice, or living vines. don't go sword cane though, it's more decorative than actually useful.
And honestly, if you google "cool cane design" or "antique cane" or other similar phrases, you can very easily find cool walking canes that would fit in a fantasy world. Just make sure the cane is sturdy, and that the handle is actually useful instead of being covered in uncomfortable design bumps. It needs to be something your character can hold for long periods of time and rest their weight on. I've heard it's possible to get blisters from holding a cane or crutch handle for a long time, so perhaps add a glove to help prevent that.
I also saw some neat custom wooden forearm crutches with a quick google search, so you can do the same and find other neat designs to use as inspiration.
oh, and here is a post i came across recently about how to write characters with canes!

I think I've got things processed in my brain so I am gonna start getting back on here. I'm not gonna start back up the work of my projects fully yet though, because I'm not fully moved into my new place yet. but I recently(aka today, lmao) got some ideas for something I think would be fun to add to As Thin As Paper for extra content.
Basically my idea is, since I have SPR OCs, a possible like "boss rush" you can unlock after getting all the endings. The thought process of this idea was just: "what if while making the game, what affected the original characters secretly seeps into an au of mine and made some of my OCs suffer the same fate. As I would have to make a uncorrupted copy of the effected and seal away the originals so it doesn't spread throughout the au" (don't know if I will use my Paintonian OCs since that species isn't cannon to the original game, but if I do it would be interesting in my opinion)
I haven't fully decided if I should do it or not, so I thought I'd run it with y'all and see what y'all think.
Here's some of the inspired ideas that started this thought(I don't have my art supplies back yet, so these are all just quick sketches)
1. Altuo Tenwor(Greed shop)
Tumblr media
Basically I just took one of the sins he is supposed to be and amplified it. I choose greed over lust, envy, and sloth as you can probably tell because of the obvious inspiration from this Binding of Isaac fan song by Manontheinternet
youtube
And I also added a bit of inspiration of the Snake(technically increasing Envy sense Snakes usually are symbolism of envy) from the Adam and Eve story, with him encouraging you to buy from his shop after every battle of the boss rush until his own battle, with each thing you buy ending up causing a bad effect on you and your party for his battle.
2.Discord(Calm to Storm)
Tumblr media
I wanted to use his "full power form"(the form you'll read/see in Hundred Year Symphony in the final act), mainly due to his inspiration of the Snatcher from Hat in Time that came from this song:
youtube
And also, he's a Crevon, those are said to be "musical demons". And demons tend to make deals with people. Basically at the start before the first battle and after the cutscene when you first enter the boss rush mode, He will offer you an increase of health and defence(or something don't really know yet) but doing so will increase the difficulty of his own battle. So you get a decrease of other battles' difficulty, but the decrease gets put into his battle as an increase. Though of course you don't have to sign it, the battles will be normal if you don't sign his contract.
3. Reverend & Brace(Cage and Mantis)
Tumblr media
No song inspiration for this. Had this idea for them before I returned to the idea of a boss rush mode. But originally Reverend would just be playing in the background to keep Brace passive(original Brace was a fountain statue similar to the Harmonian random encounters). But I decided to make Reverend heal Brace every now and again(White Witch basically) and change Brace to be similar to Base Cleph(sense they're related in my au[Hundred Year Symphony, since the Harmonians don't have hair]). But instead of a spider, I had Brace into a Mantis. Because the females tend to bite the heads off their mates.
I had Reverend have a cage body, because the heart/soul inside him is Brace's. Basically as Brace was slowly turning, she had him promise him to keep her heart safe so she doesn't fully change. You know because they're lovers and don't want to lose each other.
Feels good to be back, I am sorry for having to go on Hiatus. Anyways, Input on the "Boss Rush" mode idea would be appreciated. Would y'all think this would be interesting and fun as extra end game content?

In response to your questions about the timelapse videos, here are my two cents. Engagement doesn’t usually give you anything on tumblr other than a bump of serotonin, but it can lead to commissions or sales if you provide an easy link and are chill about it. But people are touchy about the word “engagement.” They want to feel like a community or maybe a cultural salon, rather than part of an extractive media process.
Your most successful process videos are going to show a satisfying finished piece at the end and give people time to look at it and go “wow.” So for most art some editing will be necessary to get there in a short video.
Another thing I should bring up is that the music you used for that sketch video was pretty grating. If you’re going to use music, i’d suggest finding something more relaxing. Just because the video is sped up doesn’t mean the sound has to be frantic.
Your painting process is so interesting, and your art is great! People here love cats with all their hearts and mostly really enjoy art. I wish you all the best!
Hi anon, thank you so much for your input! I really appreciate it, and I'm still getting used to actually getting responses, after trying to get it noticed for 10+ years (this isn't my first tumblr blog).
There's a lot going on with trying to share my art in the current internet ecosystem, probably something a lot of artists are dealing with. I'll try my best to describe what's going on on my end.
I don't like the term engagement either. I am trying to share my art through four main platforms at this time: Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, and of course our precious hellsite: Tumblr. So my use of the term is more from the vernacular being used on other platforms, with what seems to be a kind of agreed upon use by artists of "this is what we have to deal with, so might as well lean into it." Maybe I'm mis-interpreting that (not surprising).
So far, Instagram is where I get my art noticed the most and has lead to the most sales/commissions/financial support. I think this has to do with the cat community that has formed over there. Tumblr definitely has its cat lovers, but I think a lot of them are over on IG so that they can follow internet cat celebrities and the like (I'm one of them!). So things like engagement and trends will dictate how I share my art with at least algorithm-led platforms. Also all of the cat people and friends I've met at shows regularly have Instagrams, not that that's a reason to be on there.
I agree that I should add time of the video at the end to show the piece to give it time to be seen. This can be easily accomplished if I make sure to take a photo of the art and include it in the video. I haven't had the best record of doing this due to my own ADHD and the pace at which these sketch paintings are being made.
Most of these recent sketch paintings were made back in August during CatCon on the spot! It's a crazy thing to do and I haven't seen anyone else do something quite what I'm doing, which is I guess part of my marketing for conventions and shows. So, sometimes I forget to take a picture at the end, but I'm getting better at including it in my process. And yes I call them sketches because they're fairly quick (I aim for 30 minutes for a 6"x6") and I don't get to add all the details I would like to if time was available. (I'm currently working on a new 3"x3" fully detailed piece of a famous internet cat, I've spent an hour and a half on it, and it's not done yet!)
Part of the timelapse question is not just to see what people prefer to determine how much time I should put into editing, but also how much effort I should put into digital storage. I have a couple different ways of recording footage, and the main way I've been doing so is with my iPhone. And so when I'm at events that I fly to, like CatCon, sometimes I'm having to transfer videos from my phone to an SD card until I can get home and get the footage onto a larger storage device. This can be tricky especially if I don't make sure to clear my phone storage before going to an event (something I'm adding to my list!) However, if I use the timelapse feature already available on the iPhone, then that makes editing and storage even easier for me later. I used this a lot with my Black Cat October series. But this timelapse footage doesn't look as good (maybe) and I don't have the option to do other edits later. Which then comes to the question for myself, am I really going to go back and make another edit for these sketch paintings? Perhaps the answer is timelapses for sketches, and full videos for fully detailed paintings.
And thank you for your input on the music part! The reason for the music in the last video was because of what's trending right now. Sometimes IG will save a copy of the video I posted with whatever music, so I had reused it in today's post. I think I'll make sure to use something more soothing/calming going forward just for tumblr, because you all have a special place in my heart.
Usually I'll open TikTok and do a separate video save to have a hi-res copy with music, but since I had recently created a shop on TT I only have commercially available music. Maybe I should take the shop down anyways, I'm really not sure if it'll help my art get notice or sell more stickers. I'd rather manage sales from my website anyways, but I feel like I should at least give it a try. You're welcome to tell me your thoughts on that!
I could go more into detail about my process for just uploading videos, but I feel like this is already getting TLDR. So feel free to let me know if you want me to ramble some more! I'd love to get input on that, as well as get an idea of what other artists are doing since I have no idea what I'm doing!
