Okay I'll be honest here. As much as I like Siffrin, Testament is really cool too and neither of the two of them winning would be a bad thing. They are both sexyenbies in their own ways.

(Also we all know that the real ISAT entry in that tournament is Loop and people have been pushing Siffrin through via sheer desire for the potential sifloop matchup. Not as familiar with Guilty Gear outside of osmosis but like. I know Testament is one of y'all's Serious Contenders for hot character, right?)

i am generally not a hater but my most serious internet beef is with that fucking fashion twitter guy (dieworkwear). EVERYONE is always POSTING HIM so i have to keep seeing it... WHY?! it's classism with the thinnest coat of progressive paint. And I don't simply mean "money to buy nice clothes", though obviously that's part of it, I mean that fashion itself, especially fucking Business Attire, which is what he is often posting about, is literally just class signalling. The whole concept of what you "should" wear season-by-season is very intentionally and clearly a class signal, the rich wear it first and they know about it by their proximity to elite tastemakers and once it gets down to the middle class and the working class something else is popular with the rich so that they can once again differentiate themselves from the "lesser" groups. That's how it has worked for centuries upon centuries. That's how it will continue to work. Class is not solely money, it is about the circles you associate with/who you know. I have no problem with posting about fashion and it's a subject I am curious about despite not knowing much of. I have a problem with giving it this progressive spin he's always trying to give it like right-wingers are out of touch for having a suit that fits weird or making bizarre/ugly clothing choices. The one who is out of touch is you. I know i have made a post complaining about this before but I'm doing it again because i keep seeing it!

Taking all this information at face value:

The Serpentine came from Chima*

The First Spinjitzu Master created the Serpentine**

He did so at the time as when he created Ninjago**

Then when the FSM created Ninjago, he incidentally created Serpentine deep below the ground of Chima? And then they came to Ninjago??

The better interpretation of this is that the FSM created Serpentine in Ninjago based on the Serpentine in Chima, who I guess ended up going to Ninjago or dying out before the events of Legends of Chima. Even though Tommy's original tweet implies that his theory is that the Serpentine all came to Ninjago. Not to mention that the original impetus for his tweet was the fact that Pythor had a blue crystal in his chest, so maybe that's where he would place a chi orb.* But none of the other Serpentine (including the other Anacondrai) have that. Maybe Acidicus is just wrong when he says the FSM created the Serpentine (very possible) but Doc's post*** implies that he is still telling the truth.

But this is why you don't do canon changes by tweet/BlueSky post, because it will very likely end up conflicting with established lore. In this case, we have no reason to doubt what was established over a decade ago except for posts on social media. (the same thing happened with Lloyd's elemental power btw until Roby called it "life" - until then the names "power" and "energy" were equally valid) Also Tommy (who worked on both shows) never even canonized it in the first place**** so I don't even know what's going on here.

Don’t get me wrong, if lore inconsistencies are needed in service of a good story, then I’ll live with them. But in this case, I think it’s a better story that the Serpentine were created by the same person who created humans and both races come from Ninjago. The story of the Serpentine over the whole show is that despite their conflicts, by the end, they and humans have learned how to coexist and even become friends. Having the same origin hammers this home - they’re truly not so different.

Harry Potter could afford to buy a reasonably sized private island for himself if he wanted. (He doesn’t want to. Doesn’t want to touch that money that isn’t his. He is fine living modestly with his hand me downs and giving every knut of his fortune to whatever charities (some of which he started himself) exist to rebuild after the war.
