another one that I'm not super happy with, but continuing to mess with it isn't going to help! so here he is! 🦇 there was a lot I was trying to get across in this one, so uhhhhh hopefully it reads.
we're almost out of unique magics now...just Ace (and maybe Grim?) left!
"how many mouthguards does matthew tkachuk chew through every season?" "3 maybe? 2 or 3 a season?...but in playoffs i actually switch each and every round"
CBS News Miami | 6.28.24 (x)
THATS A 1 ROUND MOUTHGUARD???? THAT WHAT HIS MOUTHGUARD LOOKS LIKE AFTER A SINGULAR SERIES????? (x)
the more matthew denies it not being about "chewing through" his mouthguard the more it makes it seems like its because he chewed through his mouthguard like that is a maintenance issue THERE IS A HOLE IN THERE???? HELP???
also him mentioning that he likes his equipment fresh for playoffs and changes it every round which is so prevalent because THIS is what he had to say about the mere notion of new skates when asked on media day before the 2324 season started...
survey says that all cats who were asked (and shown) agreed they could not stand the idea of never getting new skates and went for "never be able to get a new pair of gloves"...matthew being the only one to go for "never be able to get a new pair of skates" (x)
youre telling me despite how much he obviously hates the physical discomfort of the cinch of new skates he still elects to change them because playoff superstitions (its not about about superstitions! he says...as if he also hasnt said on camera that the oldest piece of equipment he has is his jock and will in fact NEVER change it like that doesnt reek of sibney-isms...the way this man has influenced a whole generation of children...)
Hello, another doodle compilation post of everything I haven't posted since the period of May to now that I didn't hate but didn't like enough to post on its own + fanart i made of @catboymoments's fankids Azura and Hyacinth! I'm not normally a fankid person but these guys are a whole moment unto themselves I love them sm. ID in alt text bc it was getting lengthy! Let me know if there's any issues
So many animated shows have such great female character designs full of color and personality and then the men are just... that sure is an average middle-class American male in jeans and t-shirt.
When I find it hard to do certain things, I like to pretend I am a neanderthal living in a cave with my clan, and I must do The Thing in order to survive.
So, when I'm doing cardio at the gym, I'm actually chasing and tracking a mammoth, and when I need to cook, well, I'm not cooking on a stove top, I am hurdled over the first fire and watching the fat of our kill drip down onto the burning wood. And when I find it hard to crochet, I pretend that the first winter storm is coming and our clan needs me to make blankets to hurdle under and that I must contribute.
I hope whatever you do to do The Things will help. It is a uniquely personable trait to motivate yourself through pretend and stories. That's what makes this life interesting - that's what makes you feel larger than yourself 💛
going batshit over magical girl stuff again but this time it's joint attacks as a form of love regardless of type. best friend attack. boyfriend attack. girlfriend attack. ambiguous and vaguely antagonistic friendship attack. therapist attack. family mega attack. do you get it. is anyone there
I made this guy at the end of May but so much stuff was going on that I never posted about him here.
His hair didn't turn out too great; I ended up cutting it a bit too short, and it's not was curly as I'd hoped it would be. But I'm not planning on selling him, so I'm not real fussed about it.
I paired him up with Loki for that second pic since I thought they'd look great together, and I think they'd actually get along quite well TBH.
I also made these little backpacks so that he and Valas can actually hold a few items while going out on adventures with me.
If they weren't such a pain in the ass to sew by hand, I'd offer them in my shop right now! Alas, they take a long time to sew, and my options would either be selling them too low for the amount of work I have to do, or selling them for more than I'd feel comfortable charging for something so small. When I can get a sewing machine to help with some of these types of things, though, I plan on offering backpacks in the future!
