preferably not a Killing Game. this sounds like Blasphemy but DR was never "about" Killing Games. i'll accept it if it happens, but i'll be Very Skeptical. there's plenty to say about that universe and its themes without throwing another new 16 into the mix. leave that to the Fangans, as i think only Fans can produce something that feels fully "new" w/r/t Killing Games now

preferably uses mostly characters we already know with some great additions. a la UDG

could be serious or a spinoff. racing game, RPG, rhythm game, fighting game, game where we use the Kumas like Pokemon...

if a spinoff, would prefer it still has something of a Narrative to it where everyone's somewhat in character, even if it's silly. think Usami forcing Kamukura to participate in Dangan Kart and he does because he's Bored or some dumb shit like that. give me that Stupid Content

R U KIDDING?? IT'D BE MY PLEASURE!! I feel a huge responsibility to represent the carraville fandom lol, so my dear carraville mutuals pls do help fill the blanks n lol hope you don't regret this ask cause as you know, I have a slight tendency to go on a maniacal j-stor length rant hahaha

So basic's basic first, who are they? They're football pundits! They work for sky sports (the major broadcaster of premier league football in the UK), and their work encompass commentating on matches, giving their analysis on tactics, players etc, we'll go into details later. But there's an incredible background story to how they came to work together and here's where the fun begins!

Righto so, if you know my blog, I'm always most fascinated with enemies or rivals who came together in the end despite their differences (or actually BECAUSE of their differences like fedal!). I just thought that this is one of the most uniquely special and incredibly powerful bonds that represents how amazing human relationships can be, it is often our opposites who understand us the most!

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville encapsulates this relationship perfectly but also perhaps most comically. They are an example of how ironically funny life can be as they are technically THE SAME PERSON but from opposite sides (hey WE LOVE MIRROR OPPOSITES!)

How, you ask? So football pundits don't just get plucked out of journalism school, they are mostly former players, and very specific ones: Those that have strong characters (that ppl actually found interesting to watch on telly), and those that have brilliant tactical minds. So both of them are incredibly witty and funny, and they're great readers of the game!

And this actually comes from their playing days. So both Neville and Carragher were defenders. Carragher especially played centre back (Neville played right back) and were leaders of their team for a long time, which meant they had to organise everyone while reading the game at the same time. But here's the catch:

They played for 2 different clubs who have the oldest, fiercest longstanding rivalry in the premier league (UK football) and perhaps even in the world: Carragher played for Liverpool FC and Neville played for Manchester United. In here they call this the Northwest Derby, as they are both clubs from cities of Northern England who are historically most successful both achiement-wise and size-wise.

So... they used to LOATHE each other, and this isn't just the passive-agressive détente Messi and Ronaldo used to have during el clasico matches, oh no, English football in the early 2000s was quite violent, and both Neville and Carragher were amongst the staunchest characters in their teams. There are reasons for this, which comically prove that they are actually the same person!

Aside from playing in the same position as each other (though on opposite sides of the field), they also have similar backgrounds/relations to their clubs. They are ONE-CLUB MEN. Now this is very rare in football and have gone quite extinct nowadays, but basically, they are LOCAL boys who were born in their cities (i.e., Liverpool and Manchester), grew up supporting their clubs, and their club identity became their identity so much so that they only ever played in that club for their whole professional career (i.e., they were never transferred nor loaned). They also came from working-class backgrounds in Northern England (Liverpool and Manchester are basically only separated by the M62 highway).

Being local lads means they were the most LOYAL of the bunch, and are also rare breed leaders since they've been with Manchester United and Liverpool FC from their youth academies. They've never left the city and usually have quite an important leadership roles within the team.

But Carragher and Neville were never star players (nothing of the Virgil Van Dijk defenders type you found nowadays). They didn't have amazing skills etc yet they have the most caps (number of appearances) in their club games, and they were still playing matches even close to their 40s. Make no mistake they were actually really good players, both with significant england caps (even during the golden generation of Rooney, Ferdinand, Becks, Lampard, etc!) This is because even tho managers can buy star players, they could never buy loyalty nor replaced the way these two know their club and led their peers. They were sort of the emotional backbone of the clubs so to say.

This also means that their roles have always been as supporting characters and with them it's quite literally. So Carragher (or Carra as we call him) is best mates with non other than Liverpool former captain and forever supertstar, Steven Gerrard. Meanwhile Neville grew up and is still best mate with the global superstar, spice-girl married David Beckham. Carraville were often vice-caps for a long time, taking a sidelined but important role.

Even more mirror symbolisms (it's all a bit poetic really): both LFC and Manchester United have red as their club colours! (Everton and Man City are the blue side of their cities). Neville was part of the Man United team that won EVERYTHING in english football (including the unrepeated treble), but they never really dominated Europe (as Carragher likes to point out). Carragher was part of an underestimated LFC team who didn't win much of local cups but did one insane miracle and beat Paolo Maldini's superstar AC Milan team after being 3-0 down IN THE SECOND HALF in the 2005 Champions League final in Turkey. That night was called one of the greatest comebacks in football, dubbed "the miracle of Istanbul!"

NOW on to the crazy bits:

After they retired, both of them were invited to do this programme on SkySports called Monday Night Football. It's actually one of the most prestigious and highly difficult punditry programmes to do in football, since it's hours of LIVE analysis, dissecting the game one by one using statistics, and reacting live to the teams' tactics as they watched the match.

Safe to say the sky producers must have had the biggest balls on the planet when they decided to put those two together in one studio. The first few shows were quite patchy, but LO BEHOLD the strangest things happened: Gradually the animosity of rivalry turned into something more of a friendly banter (AKA what the english calls a very passive aggressive curmudgeon way of saying they're becoming awfully fond of each other but are too 😤 stupidly 😤 manly 😤 to admit it 😤). Once they realised they're not on opposite teams anymore, their walls came down and people called them two peas in a pod as they started noticing how similar they are to each other!

But this old rivalry makes for a hilariously fun relationship! They hold no barrels and take every. single. opportunity. to slander and make fun of each other. This includes turning each other into memes and petty saving all of each other's past football analysis lest the opportunity arrives when the moment proves them absolutely wrong to make fun of each other on social media.

Fact is: Even though they'd rather be shot dead than get caught saying it in public, they've actually become best mates lol. They still argue endlessly over football, and as the English call it, the season's never officially begun before a Neville-Carragher high-pitched argument on live TV. They even left their former teammates speechless, as they were known to be one of the most aggressive loyalists to their clubs. Neville used to not even be able to walk through Liverpool without getting mangled lol once he had to have a police escort just to get to the stadium, yet nowadays they get greeted by everyone in their respective cities 🥲

So in a nutshell: They are basically the definition of school scoundrels who used to beat the shit out of each other every week being put together in detention (by skysports) and ended up becoming besties lol. I have to say they are probably the most hilarious relationship development you could ever witness lol:

FAMILY HISTORY

kylie castillo is 2nd generation American, meaning that both pair of her grandparents immigrated to the United States a looong time ago from Mexico, and both her parents grew up in the USA. 

Her dad, alejandro castillo grew up in Los Angelos, California working to be a big time soccer player, and he got scouted but he ended up playing for MEXICO, and when he wasn’t playing for the official team, he played for Barcelona FC. So her dad made a name for himself in soccer. 

Her mom, lupe castillo molina grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She went to school and started up her own fashion brand, it was small and slowly growing as she was working as a seamstress for different companies all over Chicago. It took awhile to take off, but it did, and she had a shop in Spain bc she was illegal in the US and it was easier to stay in Spain and gain citizenship. ANYWAY, her shop blew up in Europe before getting big in the US. 

Both met in Barcelona where lupe was just a fan. it suddenly became more after they got pregnant, and after they married with their first child they decided to settle in Chicago. 

They were together until Kylie was 12 years old and her mom started seeing angelo altera, eventually marrying him for a few years. This means that she’s step siblings with lennon james and elissa altera!

kylie has always been the closest to her dad and he implemented not just in kylie but in all of his kids that if you work hard you can achieve anything. to not let anyone tell you that you can’t do things. this was especially true with sports. ofc having a soccer player for a dad, kylie was automatically interested in soccer, all of her siblings were and are. they were known as the sports family on the block.

while her dad taught her sports and to toughen up in any situation, by no means does this mean she was a tomboy. she can play a game of soccer in 6 inch heels. if you don’t think so, she’ll prove it to you! So while her soccer interest grew, her mom would introduce kylie to clothes, makeup, cooking. all of that stuff so kylie always knew to be presentable. ‘let them judge you by what you wear so you can prove them wrong with who you are.’ is one of a thousand quotes her mom would tell her about life.

CAREER

There was at one point where she wanted to be a soccer player like her dad but for a women’s team. although there were times growing up where she would definitely show guys she could kick their asses in the sport. she still can! 

When her dad found out what she wanted, he made sure and he worked with her everyday to make her a better player, EXCEPT, kylie overworks herself, A LOT, even when her dad didn’t schedule practices. it didn’t work out for her in the end because during a game she really messed up her knee where she had to give up the sport.

She was DEVASTATED, and she moped for about a day before she found something else, which was makeup. She actually rlly slowly got into it, watching tutorials, practicing on her lita’s, siblings, tia’s, mom, etc. By networking through her mom’s connections, she landed a couple of gigs to do makeup for a couple of backstage things and movie productions. she was getting around to a lot of stuff.

For awhile she was an MUA, and works with a lot of different people. she doesn’t care who you are as long as you’re chill, but then she wanted to try something different and went into music. She is step siblings to lennon james, and there is a lot of musical influence in her life, so of course she was going to dip into that. 

Her style of music is primarily in spanish, targeting that market and since it’s being big in the US, she’s definitely one of the prominent artists since she’s one of the few born in America that makes this type of music. So currently she’s working out stuff with music, working on collaborations, and then doing things in other fields.

For over 50 days now, R. Sukumar, the editor of the Delhi newspaper Hindustan Times, has written a daily wrap titled ‘COVID-19: What you need to know today‘. But three words have never appeared in it: Jubilant Generics, Nanjangud.

Jubilant Generics, is a subsidiary of Jubilant Life Sciences, a pharmaceutical company founded by Shyam S. Bhartia (in picture, left), the husband of Shobhana Bhartia, chairperson of HT Media, the listed company which owns Hindustan Times.

Nanjangud is a temple town in Mysore district, 23 km from Mysore on the road to Ooty.

Jubilant Generics makes ingredients for drugs used in treating respiratory tract infections (including #Coronavirus) at its Nanjangud plant. It has just announced a tie-up with a US firm to make Remdesivir, a potential drug for COVID-19.

On April 1, a week after prime minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown, Mysore district was included as one of India’s 25 COVID hotspots. Eventually, 74 out of the 90 cases in the district could be traced to a “single source”—Jubilant Generics.

74 out of 90 = 82.2% of cases.

While TV prophets could conclude that the Tabhligi Jamaat congregation was the cause for “60% of new cases” within hours, the source of the infection at the Jubilant plant has still not been found, a full 48 days after the first employee tested positive on March 26.

While Delhi government filed a case against the #TabhligiJamaat on March 30, and Delhi police filed an FIR on March 31—less than a week after the congregation was busted—the Karnataka government and police are still do so against Jubilant, a fully 48 days on.

And while the Muslim angle to the #TablighiJamaat conclave in Nizamuddin (West) enabled it to be converted into a “national issue” by embedded sections of Delhi-based media, #JubilantGenerics in faraway Nanjangud—2,309 km from Noida—has largely remained a local news story, confined to the city, state and regional pages.

Over the last 48 days, all but four of Mysore’s 90 COVID cases have been closed, and one of these days the last patient will be sent home. But despite the hamhanded attempts to bury the case, #JubilantGenerics has not entirely disappeared from public memory.

It has become the butt of newspaper cartoons (P. Mohammed in Andolana, above). Juicy rumours and conspiracy theories abound. And ‘Nanjangud Mystery” has lodged itself firmly in the journalistic lexicon: here, here, here, here, and here.

But what really sticks out is the overweening attempt at damage-control:

# Three serving ministers in the BJP government in Karnataka have offered three different versions of the source of the infection at #JubilantGenerics.

# There are hints of a cover-up with an IAS officer appointed to trace the origin throwing up his hands, citing “lack of cooperation”. He now says, what is the point?

# The local Nanjangud BJP MLA has spoken of “pressure from Delhi” to hush up the case, with prominent BJP names playing a starring role. 

# And l’affaire Jubilant Generics has seen a turf war within the ruling BJP in Karnataka. 

The minister in charge of Mysore district, V. Somanna, was shunted out days after he said he would “summon” the MD of #JubilantGenerics (Shyam Bhartia as it turns out) to answer for the mess.

The local BJP MLA from Nanjangud has clashed with the BJP MP from Mysore, Pratap Simha, a Kannada newspaper columnist turned politician, who has been twice removed from the Press Council of India for insufficient attendance, for meddling in an issue located outside his Lok Sabha constituency.

And, although probably unconnected to the Nanjangud incident, Jubilant Pharma intimated Singapore stock exchange on April 28 that a director had resigned on April 15, and been replaced.

Little wonder “Jubilant Generics, Nanjangud” is not one of the things the editor of Hindustan Times has thought readers ought to know for 52 days running.

Mint, the business daily owned by HT Media, has had at least four reports (here, here, here) about the Nanjangud cluster, but only one of them named Jubilant (here).

To be sure, neither Hindustan Times, Mint nor HT Media have anything to do with Jubilant Generics. Although they are husband and wife, Shyam and Shobhana Bhartia are individuals in their own right, who run separate companies.

Their son Priyavrat Bhartia is the only common link: he sits on the boards of both Jubilant Lifesciences and HT Media.

“The promoters of HT Media Ltd which publishes Hindustan Times and Mint, and Jubilant Life Sciences are closely related. There are, however, no promoter cross-holdings,” reads a disclaimer on the story today announcing a tie-up to manufacture a potential COVID-19 drug, with the Nanjangud plant playing a hand.

That said, what the #JubilantGenerics coverage shows is the huge information advantage it enjoyed over the #TablighiJamaat despite being responsible for “82% of the cases” in Mysore district.

# A powerful corporate with bulging money, media, PR and political muscle could control the negative news flow unlike a congregation (and a community) instantly hanged in the court of public opinion by a media eager to communalise a pandemic.

# And the use of the loaded euphemism “single-source” by embedded sections of the media as a code to scapegoat a community is in stark contrast to its inability to depict #JubilantGenerics as a “single source”.

Let the record show that Shobhana Bhartia is a former member of the Rajya Sabha, nominated by the Congress party. And let the record also show that Jubilant Bhartia group donated Rs 10 crore to the PMCARES fund on April 24.

The contours of l’affaire Jubilant Generics are simple.

As a per a press statement, emailed from a Gmail account by a public relations firm without a letterhead, a #JubilantGenerics employee, who had stopped coming to work from 11 am on March 20, had tested positive for COVID-19 five days later, on March 26.

“P-52” was 35 years old, and worked in the quality assurance department.

However, S. Suresh Kumar, the Karnataka labour minister, has said on record that the employee had shown symptoms on March 13, indicating a gap in the timeline of nearly a week between Jubilant’s claim and the government’s.

Subsequently, as more cases involving Jubilant’s employees were reported, the plant operations were suspended and all the 1,300 employees were put under self-quarantine. Jubilant has 900 employees on the rolls; 400 on contract.

Nanjangud town (in picture, above) was put under “total lockdown“.

On March 27, the day after P–52 tested positive, health department officials visited the plant. Jubilant says they were allowed access to the warehouse to take a sampling of materials and provided all information on their receipt, transit time and storage.

In addition, is says, it shared the CCTV footage, company records on leave, travel and visitors, and movement of materials.

And yet, 48 days later, the source of the infection is a mystery?

The confusion and crosstalk in the Karnataka government, police and bureaucracy over the Jubilant incident—and the eagerness to give the company a 48-day-long rope—is testament to the undercurrents in crafting the narrative.

# On March 31, the district in-charge minister V. Somanna said on Facebook (above) that the “Jubilant MD”, who had gone to Delhi after the outbreak of #Coronavirus, had not returned, and that he would be summoned in a couple of days.

This could have just been bluster meant for the cameras because planes and trains were not plying due to the lockdown, but Somanna was turfed out of Mysore on April 9, in a mysterious reallocation of charge at the height of the pandemic.

# On April 4, former chief minister Siddaramaiah gave flight to a rumour (India Today, above) that the infection could have spread across Jubilant through raw materials imported by the company from China, from where #Coronavirus originated.

The local Nanjangud MLA B. Harshvardhan of the BJP too chimed in, asking why the company had not postponed the import when the pandemic had set in.

However, samples of the powder and gel sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune are reported to have turned negative. And P-52 told Star of Mysore that he was an employee in the documentation department with no contact with the raw materials.

# On April 16, medical education minister K. Sudhakar told India Today that the home department, i.e. the police, had come to the conclusion that a Jubilant employee who had visited China and who had come in contact with a Chinese person carrying the virus, had brought it back and spread it to his colleagues.

Mysore police immediately clarified that “Patient 52”, who had tested positive on March 26, had no history of travel.

“Patient 52”, it turned out, did not even have a passport.

Jubilant said in a statement: “Patient-52 did not travel to China or (made) any overseas trip in the last six months. Further, none of the employees tested positive so far travelled overseas in the last six months.”

# Law minister Suresh Kumar (above), who took over the task of briefing the media on COVID from medical education minister Sudhakar, however, said that from February 4 to 18, a number of foreign nationals had visited Jubilant plant, from the United States, Germany, Japan, and China.

In other words, the infection had started at Jubilant because of employees’ contact with visitors. Were those visitors foreigners alone, or perhaps Indian nationals belonging to the company who were carrying the virus?

If the source was an Indian visiting Jubilant, who is he, has he been traced, where?

# On April 24, the state chief secretary T.M. Vijayabhaskar put it on record in a government order that Jubilant was the “primary cause of the spread of the pandemic in Mysore district“.

He ordered the nodal officer, Harsh Gupta, IAS, to probe not just the source of the infection and the cause of its spread in Jubilant, but also to ascertain what role the company had played.

i like him; i would vote for him. i know a fair few people would vote for him - as his re election proved - and i know the majority (the uninterested-enough-to-research + the still disenfranchised (i don’t blame them), the ones who just don’t believe in him, the centre left, pro-trident/monarchy/other things jez doesn’t like ers, tories etc etc) wouldn’t. jez has consistently been on the right side of history and he is inarguably a man of strict principle, and i’d love for that to be enough but it isn’t. a may-led tory govt is terrifying and as much as i admire +agree w the majority of jez’s policies/values i’d prefer a more centred but viable opposition to what we have now.

saying that, I don’t think we can lay the blame for labour’s weakness on jez’s shoulders: he hasn’t ‘united’ labour as an ideal leader could’ve (although whether he should’ve is again - weakly - debatable), but the cracks have been widening for a while. jez has sort of been a catalyst for labour falling apart sooner rather than later; i don’t think blairite policies (problematic wording in the way that I use it i know! civil partnerships etc, but an aspect tainted by association tbh) and the more hard left belong in the same space, the separation is inevitable and i think ultimately wise. neither the left nor corbyn r responsible for labour’s troubles, its crisis is one founded on the divisions in the party itself and its voters, poor expenditure management (and poor defence of it); there’s been a global turn for the worse for social democratic parties.

nonetheless, jez hasn’t helped the situation, regardless of the aggressively right media agenda or the ridiculous coup last yr. he has his fair share of weaknesses (read some of owen jones’ criticism https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/mar/01/corbyn-staying-not-good-enough ), he should’ve led a stronger remain campaign and he needs to be more enthused generally, it’s undeniable that however superficial it may be people respond to charisma and even if corbyn didn’t stand as leader to win he needs to step tf up bc he did win. he may’ve stood to get leftist issues back on the blackboard but if he doesn’t sort shit out his name’ll be used w the same disdain that i used blair’s.

Hi there, I am trying to put a question here for the yahoo community in a bit detail to give a clear picture of situation and try to get some useful information regarding it. What happened is my car got stopped over by police and towed away by their recovery van. Now i am getting an impounded car insurance to get it back ( Long story short , the car i was driving was without insurance as i had not received letter of my insurance cancellation and i was under the impression that i had insurance. By the way i had paid them in full for one year in advance and it was not a monthly direct debit payment ) I have searched and able to get a quote from two well know car insurance companies ( One of them is Impoundedcarinsurance.com and other is INSURENCE CHOICE ) and both companies are asking for DIRECT TRANSFER OF MONEY IN THEIR BANK ACCOUNT as they don't accept Credit Cards and Debit cards for the payment of temporary insurance. Today i and yesterday, i spent my whole days to contact these companies and get information for method of payment. I have a few points here to ask and i am sure your valuable information will guide me to make a decision to buy the insurance for my impounded car. ->First of all, I called my previous company which cancelled my insurance to persuade them for a temporary insurance to get my IMPOUNDED CAR BACK, The customer assistant simply stated that none of their policies can be used to get an impounded car back from compound. Today i was FRANK AND STRAIGHT TO HIM and told him about my question asked on different online forums and all the answers and suggestions which were discussed with me. I told him simply that it looked too suspicious to pay them by online transfer and hence i feared of losing my money and it can be a spam !!! -> Well the person there maintained and cleared his position by stating that He was going to give their company's sort code and Account number and it can be verified in the bank that what company the money is going to if i do online transfer ! Hence i had a record of payment to a CERTAIN COMPANY (Insurance Choice) for impounded car insurance and its all safe. So please advise in light of above mentioned discussion/inquiries that is it safe to deal with this company and do a payment transfer directly into their account. My 17 year old has her instructional learner's permit (did the driver education, passed the written DMV test, had in car-driver training and is now working towards her 50 hours of in-car practise with us before she can take her driving test).
