Just because I think the idea of it is absolutely hilarious, I've decided as of like 30 seconds ago that Josh's guilty pleasure game is the sims. Do I know what he does with those sims? Absolutely not! Maybe he goes full horror or soap opera, or maybe he just plays the most vanilla game ever. I literally have no idea, I'm just extremely amused with the idea that this is a game he has poured like *thousands* of hours into and doesn't want a single person to know of that fact fhdjdksjdhd
Anyways, do with this knowledge what you will. I just wanted to share it lol.
"One time," she said with her head on her hand, her words coming out smooshed thanks to how her fingers pressed against her cheek, "just one time, I wish your answer to 'Hey, fucko, whatcha up to?' was something normal, like...'I dunno, sis, doing the dishes,' or 'Finishing up some homework, shut up.'"
Josh turned from the monitor just as the room full of houseplants caught fire; it cast a lovely orange glow on his face. "The day I do the dishes is the day you know the government has realized I'm too great a threat to the safety of this great country of ours, and they've replaced me with a clone. Now just admit you're pissed that your Sim was the first to die in this round of Survivor and get over it."
Pretending that wasn't it at all, that she didn't care who did or didn't die in the house full of booby traps (or that her character had met their end in the most shameful of ways, burning mac and cheese and setting all the nearby kitchen ferns alight), Beth scooted her chair a few inches closer to the desk, nudging Josh's arm away with her elbow until she had room enough to get comfortable next to him. "Ten bucks says Hannah ends up stuck in the pool."
six sentence sat(or)sunday!!!

Keep seeing that post where OP starts like 'Thinking about...grieving the undead' and then adds on about like. Real life situations where people have not died but have left your life and you would have reason to grieve them.
All respect, that's an important concept, but that is not what I am thinking about when I read 'grieving the undead'.

People don't like to admit it bcs cringe or w/e but Homestuck really did revolutionize the webcomic as a storytelling medium and I am endlessly frustrated that before webcomic artists could really stretch our legs fucking webtoonz swooped in, set a new, more restrictive standard, and then monetized and monopolized the ever living fuck out of the concept of The Webcomic until it drove away anyone who couldn't be a professional quality manga artist for free, and now the only webcomics that actually feel like spiritual successors to Homestuck are so obscure they're basically cult classics that you have to beg people to read.
Like it's just so wild to be in high school and see Homestuck be like "we're using like fifteen different artistic mediums to tell this story bcs we can" and be really fucking inspired by that, only to grow up and see basically every webcomic ever have to conform to One Single Standard or fucking perish.

My father was martyred by Israel on 10 October 2023 after sacrificing his care in hospital so the injured children could take priority. Today would have been his 60th birthday. He was always selfless, kind, and giving for others. My father gave up everything for me to be able to have a better life, because that is what he always dreamed for me and my sister. The world suffered a great loss when he died, and my heart is always with him and every Palestinian who has lost someone.
In his honour and memory, I would love for anyone who is able to do so to consider donating to The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
The PCRF is an amazing organisation that does so much for those in Gaza right now, including helping provide food, water and medicine. You can donate any amount you are able to- there is no minimum! My father would have given his very last cent if he saw the way Palestine was continuing to suffer after over 100 days with this limited aid, so I know celebrating him by helping others is the least he would have wanted.
I saw @parrot-parent do a very successful donation match and I thought it was such a good idea so I will also match all donations up to $500! If you feel comfortable sending me proof of the amount of your donation, I will match it as a donation at the end of February. (My messages are set to mutuals only, but if you donate and we aren’t mutuals if you send an ask with the proof I will make sure to answer it privately.)

There’s that post that’s like ‘everyone should get into a tiny niche fandom at least once’ fully agree, that was really fun -- but I would like to add that everyone should get into a fandom where their opinions run counter to major fanon because it really teaches you about sticking to your guns and trusting your interpretation of the text without having to rely on peer validation
because WHAT are people talking about sometimes

"oh Astarion is SOOOO effeminate" wrong. You are judging Astarion by human genders. Astarion is first and foremost a high elf and by high elf standards he is actually INCREDIBLY masc. Other high elves look at him and he reminds them of that one annoying straight guy in their elf-economics (elfenomics if you will) class in elf-college who loved playing devil's advocate. And then they see him kiss a guy and they almost die of shock.

by the way irt boycotting sanrio the fact that they had stores open in "Israel" in 2011 is no longer particularly relevant (theyre closed), the important thing is that their products (specifically the plushies) are made by jazwares which has a wildly zionist ceo
so rather than a sanrio boycott it's a jazwares boycott which applies to a lot of popular plushes: sanrio, pokemon, squishmallows, etc.
